#2 maybe instead of throwing the sticks, hold on and give a solid whack. I once killed an aggressive goose with a racket ball racket. Cooked him up nice too.

#3 "Verrier says there are basic things you can do to protect yourself. If you see a turkey, move to the other side of the street. Make noise or spray the turkey with water.
Whatever you do, don't feed them or try to take a picture."
IOW the Turkeys act like European banlieu youths and the humans are advised to act like dhimmis.
They should barbecue before there's a carbecue.

#11 Nah - I was going for the Rick Roll the whole time, just in case there were some people unfamiliar with the meme. Good turkey video, though!

#12 Turkeys attack in Brookline? I'll bet Brookline surrenders by the end of the month.
All hail our new turkey masters! It's for...the children.

#14 For the nuts out there, there's a pistol that's chambered for .410 shotgun rounds, that'll work.
And it's fairly quiet too.
Attention folks, that's dinner out there.

#15 Supposedly, Ben Franklin recommended the turkey for our national bird, rather than the bald eagle. Wild turkeys are smart, wily and delicious.
On the other hand, the domestic turkey - the type we eat at Thanksgiving - has been bred to be stupid and slow, but with a large breast.

#16 Watched a flock of wild turkey hens, about 35 count, the other day while hunting. They put out flank guards and travel in a column of twos or threes. Flap their winds to blow away leaves and peck at bugs. Interesting creatures indeed.

#19 You know, if they had some dogs instead of small-snacksized....things, then maybe the Turkeys wouldn't be so brave. My old lab chased off a flock of 40 in ten seconds flat.
