#3 As long as the followers of the psychotic ravings continue to whine about the Crusades and snivel and kill each other over who is going to succeed Mohammed, the region is going nowhere.
When most Emirs are issuing fatwas against 20th century technology, education of women, and studies of science, math, and business, the region will be an economic backwater.
Can we get a new prophet to issue a revised standard version of the Quran? Maybe taking out all of the toxic stuff about infidels, women, and children will allow the region to put down the sword and join the world.
Golda Meir was right when she said there would be no peace in the region until they, Moslems, love their children more than they hate us (Jews, Christians, and assorted other infidels).
Ban Ki-Moon should put down the PC rhetoric and say the truth: It is all their own fault. A little rational discourse and a lot of reform would do a lot for the region.

I just turned off the teevee after listening to nearly an hour of the Clinton - Senate ARB (Accountability Review Board) testimony. I am now thoroughly convinced, and can predict that absolutely nothing will come out of this review. Yes, using the old tool of emotion, while describing her trip to Dover AFB to receive the fallen, she nearly broke into tears. Must have been a difficult pull without onions.
