#2 I haven't smoked in almost exactly 13 years. I miss it many times a day still. Anyone who really smoked and said they didn't like it is lying. It is a fantastic, cheap, convenient and deadly drug. I loved it.

#3 It makes you happier.

Unfortunately, for the first three weeks after you quit, it makes the people around you absolutely miserable. When I quit, my roommate actually threatened to buy a rack and make me smoke them just so I wouldn't be such an a$$hole.

#4 Reply to Shipman.

Yep. Six years, and I still get that craving. Especially when I'm enjoying a good single malt. Cigars too, I inhaled.

#9 Frank G, what are those bridges you worked on?

I want to know which bridges to avoid when I go to California.

#11  5-6 shots of Jack in the AM "to calm the nerves"

Perhaps, in the same way that large doses of LSD allow you to perceive the auras of both humans and animals, a sufficient quantity of alcohol makes you exquisitely sensitive to harmonic vibrations and helps avoid those embarrassing civil engineering incidents like the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

#14 I quit 35 years ago cause it got too expensive at $0.75 a pack. Smoked regularly though not a high volume, 1/2 a pack a day,for about 10 years and it took me 5 to 10 years to get over it completely.

I'm sure that I'm alot healthier than I would be if I kept on, but, every year or two I get a craving........a single malt cures that ;^)
