Define "unfriendly."

2. Why Manhattan, why not WDC, Chicago, LA, Las Vegas or Stibnite, Idaho?

Because, based on personal experience, when one travels, denizens of many countries outside the US will recognize "New York" (i.e., Manhattan) but not the other places. In fact, when asked where one is from it's easier to say "New York." Unless you're a leftist; then the answer is "Toronto."

3. "What Kind of Fool Am I?"

I don't think the President has ever seen 'Pippin', or heard of Anthony Newly.
