I've heard that numbers circulated at a CDU (Merkel's party) event in Berlin suggested that the net 'refugee' influx for 2015-2017 would be 4-7 million, 1.5-2 million in '17 alone.

This is little more than a rumor. As an extrapolation based on empirical observation it isn't implausible however, considering Merkel's iron political will and chain migration.

I'm glad I took a lot of pictures the times I visited Europe. Even got to ride through the chunnel without being raided by pirates.
