#2 Maybe more to this than reported:

watching “a show about firearms” with two windows close to the TV opened

Went to wunderground.com for historical weather info for that date and time of day in Great Falls MT. Outside temps were 45 degrees. The windows may have been opened to harass the neighbors, which apparently succeeded. Hardly seems like opening the windows would have been a necessity.

#3 you are most likely correct, Anguper Hupomosing9418. It sounds like a feud between neighbors that escalated to the point of one party calling in the cops on the other party.

I almost feel sorry for the sheriff in that area- he is going to have to deal with that nonsense until one of the parties either dies or leaves.
