#5 OTOH, the Left makes everything about politics and their agenda moves from strength to strength irrespective of electoral defeats and bad polling.

And there will always be some natural disaster or other unexpected crisis to address; can we really expect to fix the long term problems this country faces if we're always putting action on hold in order to be good sports?

#6 Well, the so-called National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) is some $25 Billion under water with little hope of recovery. All NFIP has done is ENCOURAGE people to build in flood prone areas, with everybody else in the country picking up the tab.

What you subsidize, you get more of.
