#1 Weather here was quite rough at times yesterday, though the worst didn't last an hour. Either several other flights had similar experiences or everyone else diverted or delayed and SW should have.

#2 If my tire goes out I can pull to the side of the road not drop 10,000 feet. Of course there are probably places in the Rockies or Alps....

#3 Having landed in a storm and looked out the right side window and seen the center stripe of the runway we were landing on crossing diagonally under the plane, with a sudden right turn when the gear touched down, I can sympathize.

#4 Reminds me of a KAL stretch 757 flight from Seoul to Narita. I sat on the aisle in the back (last to hit the ground you know!). When we skirted a typhoon the tube flexed so much I could no longer see first class.

#5 Scariest landing I've ever had was in Hong Kong back in the 90s. Perfect weather but that airport with the hard right right just before landing, right after passing a line of buildings on that side, was crazy scary.

#6 Not a landing, but engine failed on taxi. Outside my window. I was like 12 years old. First solo trip.
