#2 It’s clearly my complete inexperience in the subject that leads to my inability to imagine the biomechanics of the situation.

This commonly happens when you are cleaning your weapon and your ear itches so you decide to scratch it with the cocked and loaded gun - often after falling down the stairs once or twice.
