#4 The pace of hunting down bad guys both at ground level and from above has accelerated, as was recently noted — and both by Coalition and Afghan forces.

Given President Trump’s preferred approach that winning is the goal, I look forward to seeing how he chooses to shake things up on this battlefield, given what he has recently done in other areas of operation.

#5 ...The thing to keep in mind is this - we did BETTER than any of the Af's would-be conquerors, in any category you care to name...yet it still cannot be brought to anything resembling a civilized, controlled status.

Burn it all to the ground. They are neither interested in nor desire joining civilization, nor shall they ever be. Destroy the trappings of modern civilization and let them worship their death cult in isolation. They - and the rest of Mankind - shall be far happier.
