#2 What happen was he did what most front runners do and take the support of the establishment. Trump made the same mistake when selecting his cabinet. The two most popular candidates and the two least liked by their party leaders are Trump and Kennedy.

#4 Yes, the "secret sauce" of leadership vibes cannot be bought with campaign contributions. Walker was an apt comparison, very successful at the state level, but that was his ceiling.

#7 The man is not a gifted orator. The more DeSantis engages, the less he is like. Often he sounds like he is reading off an Anchorman Script.

#8 The fact the Trump is so reviled by the media and persecuted by DoJ is exactly what makes me want to vote for him. I said it when he first ran in 2016: He is pissing off all the right people. DeSantis is good at pissing off the Pride people but he has yet to be vilified and persecuted at anywhere near the same level as Trump.

#10 We have a problem with unelected officials subverting the Constitution. DeSantis would reverse many of Biden’s policies. That would be great, but we need someone turning over tables and cleaning house. Certainly, Trump did not do that the first go round, but a Karl Rove guy is definitely not going to do that.
