#2 Hamas could just put down they’re weapons and the war would end.

But it is not genocide when the population has risen increasing continuously since Israel took over as a result of winning the Six Day War in 1967, and continues rising even during the current Hamas-started excitement. The opposite, in fact — based on the evidence it could reasonably be concluded that Israeli policies act as fertilizer for Palestinian population growth, not genocide.
