[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Afghan forces have confiscated a vehicle carrying at least 7800 kgs of Ammonium Nitrate during an operation in Momand Dara district of Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. The provincial government media office in a statement said the vehicle was seized in Torkham Township by the operatives of the National Directorate of Security ...the Afghan national intel agency... The statement further added that the Ammonium Nitrate was placed in 156 sacks and were hidden under the vegetables.
According to the provincial government, the snuffies had imported the Ammonium Nitrate from Pakistain and were looking to use them in their future attacks.
The anti-government armed bad boy groups frequently use explosives materials for the roadside kaboomings and boom-mobileings to target the government staff and security personnel.
However, alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk... in majority of such incidents the ordinary civilians are targeted besides such bombings incur casualties to the security personnel and in some cases the Talibs themselves are killed or maimed.
A total of 10,453 civilian casualties ‐ 3,438 people killed and 7,015 injured ‐ were documented in the 2017 Annual Report released last month by the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) and the UN Human Rights Office.
The report further added that the high number of casualties to the civilians were inflicted by suicide kabooms and other attacks using improvised bombs (IEDs).

The provincial government media office in a statement said the gunnies were killed during the operations of the national defense and security forces in Chaparhar district.
The statement further added that the Afghan forces conducted an operation in Sefri area of Chaparhar district late on Saturday night, leaving at least eight gunnies dead.
According to the provincial government, information received from the area of the operation indicates that two of the gunnies killed during the operation were hailing from Pakistain.
The local residents and security personnel did not suffer any casualty during the operation, the provincial government added.
This comes as counter-terrorism operations and Arclight airstrikes are underway against the gunnies affiliated with the terror group in Nangarhar province.
The 201st Silab Corps said Saturday that the US forces conducted airstrikes in Deh Bala district on Friday, leaving at least 6 gunnies dead.

[Libya Observer] The Libyan coastguards rescued Saturday 152 illegal immigrants colonists including 19 women and three children on two different boats.
The Libyan Navy Forces front man Ayoub Qassim said the illegal immigrants colonists were from African countries, adding that the first boat was rescued off Zuwara while the second off Garabulli.
"The second boat was rickety so the Libyan oil tanker Anwar al-Khalij helped them out before the coastguards had arrived to the rescue." Qassim explained, saying they were sent to Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... Naval Base before they were sent to Tajoura illegal migration center.
In a separate operation, Alwadi Operations Room personnel in Sabratha intercepted over 80 illegal immigrants colonists including women and kiddies off the city's shores, adding that the African migrants colonists were sent to the Anti-Illegal Immigration Authority.

[The Intercept] ON THE EDGE of the village of Al Buqa in the Yemeni governorate of Hodeidah last month, Yemeni fighters dressed in a mix of military fatigues and mawaz ‐ the wraparound skirt traditionally worn by men here ‐ stood in a loose formation along the main highway near the bright blue waters of the Red Sea.
The fighters, known as the Yemeni National Resistance, included members of the sandal-clad Tihama Resistance, gaunt and war-weary after years of fighting, as well as the more recently deployed Guards of the Republic led by the nephew of Ali Abdullah Saleh, Yemen’s former president of 33 years. Along with southern Yemenis, ultraconservative Sunni Muslim Salafis, and Sudanese troops, they are America’s de facto allies in a fight against the Houthis, an Iran-allied rebel group that, since 2015, has been fighting a U.S.-backed coalition of 10 nations led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The Yemeni coalition-allied fighters have advanced rapidly since the UAE stepped up support for them after Saleh was killed in December. A longtime U.S. and Gulf ally, Saleh had aided the Houthi takeover of Yemen’s capital in 2014. But at the end of 2017, he switched sides again, declaring loyalty to the coalition and sparking a battle with the Houthis that ended in his death at their hands.
[PRESSTV] Dozens of Saudi-sponsored bandidosturbans loyal to Yemen's resigned president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, have been killed and scores of others sustained injuries when Yemeni army forces separately fired two domestically-manufactured ballistic missiles at their base in the country’s southwestern province of Ta’izz as well as the western coastal province of Hudaydah.
A Yemeni military source, speaking on condition of anonymity ... for fear of being murdered... , told Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah television network that Yemeni soldiers and their allies launched a short-range Zelzal-2 (Earthquake-2) missile at the Saudi mercenaries in the Maqbanah district of Ta’izz.
The source added that the attack left an unidentified number of Hadi loyalists dead and injured.
Earlier in the day, many Saudi-sponsored bandidosturbans bit the dust and sustained injuries when Yemeni soldiers and allied fighters fired a Qaher M-2 (Subduer M-2) ballistic missile at their position in Hudaydah.

The UAE-backed troops are currently trying to capture the al-Jah District in order to advance towards the strategic port-city of Hodeideh in western Yemen.
Despite their best efforts to reach Hodeideh city, the Southern Resistance offensive has mostly been forestalled, as some of their troops have found themselves cutoff from their main supply line.

[Hot Air] There are more changes coming to Austria as they struggle to deal with the European migration crisis and the constant threat of Islamic terrorism on the continent. The nation is currently led by the government of Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, coincidentally the same guy our own German ambassador recently called a rockstar.

[DAWN] Six Kashmiris were killed during a search operation conducted by troops in India-held Kashmir, military officials said.
A shootout began early in the morning when soldiers during the search operation intercepted a group of Kashmiris along the Line of Control, claimed Col Rajesh Kalia.
He said soldiers were still carrying out search operations in the remote and forested northwestern Keran sector, where the incident occurred.
There was no independent confirmation of the incident.

[PRESSTV] Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force says his forces have disbanded two more terrorist groups in the northwest of the country near the border with Iraq over the past 24 hours.
Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour said on Sunday that forces of the IRGC Hamzeh Seyed al-Shohada Base managed to destroy the terrorist teams that had made desperate attempts to infiltrate into the country.
He added that during festivities in the Oshnavieh and Sarvabad border areas in Kurdistan Province, six bad boyz were potted and three others maimed after the IRGC forces' precise intelligence operations.
The senior commander said a considerable amount of explosives, weapons and equipment were confiscated from the snuffies in the operations.
The public relations office of the Hamzeh Seyed al-Shohada Base said in a statement on Saturday that the IRGC forces destroyed a nine-member gang of snuffies in the northwest of the country.

[AA.TR] At least 17 non-combatants were killed Sunday in raids launched by Syrian fighter jets on a hospital and on populated areas in the Idlib province.
According to an Anadolu Agency news hound, the regime warplanes targeted civilians in the cities of Banash, Taftanaz and Ariha, and the villages of Ram Hamdan and Bani Ezz.
The civil defense teams in Idlib reported that the regime targeted al-Nour Children's Hospital in Taftnaz, killing five people, including three children.
The bombing over Taftanaz killed another eight civilians, while two others were killed in a raid on Ariha and two in Banash and Ram Hamdan.
The Civil Defense added that the competent teams transferred the maimed -- the number was not specified -- to medical centers close to the targeted areas.
Idlib, which remains under opposition control, was designated as a "de-escalation zone" -- in which acts of aggression are expressly forbidden -- in May of last year.

In a matter of days, the Syrian Army and their allies managed to liberate a large chunk of this Islamic State pocket in southern Syria, forcing the latter to retreat to their strongholds along the al-Sweida provincial border.
However, a person who gets all wrapped up in himself makes a mighty small package... these advances were expected at the onset of the offensive, but the real battle is expected to begin in the coming days, as the Syrian Army attempts to capture some important sites in the Badiya al-Sham region.
In order to weaken the Islamic State’s resolve at these sites, the Syrian Army has switched their offensive strategy to one of attrition.
According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Army’s primary objective at this point is to inflict as many casualties in the Islamic State’s ranks as possible.
Due to their limited resources and manpower shortages, the Islamic State is at the mercy of the Syrian Army troops that have encircled their entire pocket.
With nowhere to go and limited provisions, the Islamic State will have to find a way to avoid casualties and breakout of this large pocket in southeast Syria.

[ALMASDARNEWS] Intense festivities broke-out between the Ottoman Turkish-backed rebel groups near the Afrin region of Aleppo, tonight, pro-opposition activists reported via social media.
According to these reports, Harakat Ahrar al-Sham ...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014... and the Free Syrian Army ... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund... ’s Sultan Murad group have been involved in a fierce confrontation for several hours tonight.
The festivities are reportedly taking place in the area between the city of ’Azaz and Afrin region in northwest Aleppo.
The cause of these festivities is still unknown; however, as of recently, the rebel groups have been fighting over their share of the abandoned homes in Afrin.
With most of the population displaced, the Ottoman Turkish-backed rebels have taken the opportunity to loot and declare ownership of the abandoned homes.

According to a military report from rural Homs, the Syrian Army and their allies are currently advancing towards Tal Safa from two axes, as they look to overwhelm the Islamic State bully boyz with this night assault.
The Syrian Army is hoping to capture both Tal Safa and al-Kara’a in the coming days, as these are two of the most important sites under the Islamic State’s control in Badiya al-Sham.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The US, the UK and La Belle France launched Arclight airstrikes against Syria in April after accusing Damascus of a chemical attack in the city of Douma. The Syrian and Russian governments have charged the US and UK-funded White Helmets group with staging a false-flag chemical attack in the city to prompt Western military intervention.
Speaking to The Mail on Sunday, President Assad accused the three Western powers of using the White Helmets group to give them a pretext to attack Syria.
"The UK publicly supported the White Helmets that are a branch of al-Qaeda, al-Nusra ...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ... , in different areas of Syria. They [Britannia] spent a lot of money, and we consider the White Helmets to be a PR stunt by the UK. So yes, definitely, it was staged by these three countries together, and the UK is involved," Assad said.
Noting that the US-British-French tripartite didn’t provide the public with evidence that an attack actually took place at Douma, Assad said that this wasn’t the point. "The crux of the issue is that they need to undermine the Syrian government, as they needed to change and topple the Syrian government at the beginning of the events of the war in Syria. They keep failing, they keep telling lies, and they continue to play a war of attrition against our government," the president said.
Commenting on Prime Minister Theresa May’s statements that Britannia’s participation in the attack on Syria was permitted under international law and aimed at alleviating suffering, Assad said that by her logic, "when Britannia and the US attacked Iraq illegally in 2003, killed millions, caused mass destruction, let alone the number of widows and amputees... any government has the right to attack the UK or the US if it thought the act was justified, legal and allowed under international law to alleviate human suffering."
