[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] A far-left Utah parent is demanding the Davis County School District remove the Bible from schools, calling it "one of the most sex-ridden books around."
The parent claims that the Bible violates a Utah law passed in 2022 to ban any books containing "pornographic or indecent" content from Utah school. The leftist filed the compliant in anger over actual pornographic books with cartoon depictions of sex acts being removed for Utah schools.
District spokesperson Chris Williams told ABC4 they will consider the complaint.

The Salt Lake City Tribune obtained a copy of the parent’s request to ban the Bible last Tuesday.
The demand reads as follows:
Incest, onanism, bestiality, prostitution, genital mutilation, fellatio, dildos, rape, and even infanticide. You’ll no doubt find that the Bible, under Utah Code Ann. § 76-10-1227, has ’no serious values for minors’ because it’s pornographic by our new definition.
The parent then issues the demand to remove the Bible from shelves at Davis High School, calling the it "porn."
Get this PORN out of our schools. If the books that have been banned so far are any indication for way lesser offenses, this should be a slam dunk.

I believe that the Supreme Court has already ruled allowing The Bible into schools. I am not sure why the leftists venue shopped this away from California. Utah would not have been on my short list.

[NYPOST] A new bill introduced by a Brooklyn state politician would impose a 25 cent tax on all products purchased online with Amazon and other e-tailers in New York City.
State Sen. Andrew Gounardes (D-Brooklyn) said in a memo accompanying his legislation that the proceeds earmarked for infrastructure improvements such as repairing the beleaguered Brooklyn Queens Expressway.
"By imposing a negligible 25 cent surcharge on the online delivery packages responsible for the diesel-powered, heavy-duty vehicles polluting our air, imperiling our bicyclists and pedestrians, clogging our roadways, and by crushing our highways, bridges, and cantilevers, we can begin to truly invest in alternative modes of freight transportation while securing needed repairs for the BQE," Gounardes said.
Gounardes’ proposal comes as Albany politicians in the state Assembly have floated potentially hitting streaming services like Netflix, Hulu and HBO Max with the state’s 4% sales tax as a way to fund the cash-strapped Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
