Few recipients of the Chinese Belt and Road largess so far seem very pleased afterwards, but we should be encouraging the CCP to spend money everywhere in Africa, in large quantities, because it will be a PR disaster when they start demanding it be paid back, or else! Anything not in their military budget is helpful.

The US trialed the money/occupation strategy in Southeast Asia. Made some good capitalists after 20 years for a pretty high human life price. Twenty years of money and occupation in the Mideast remains to yield a capitalist success.
British, Dutch and French et. al. colonized Africa. It remains Africa.
