NBC news projects (as of 23 Nov) Republicans to have 221 in the 118th Congress

#3  I'll say one thing about Democrats; their party discipline is far superior to that of Republicans. They don't call the GOP the Stupid Party for nothing. They get an opportunity like this and it's highly likely they'll squander it.

#4  Looks like they haven't called Robert's election, tho I thought her opponent conceded. So that makes 222.

Wedding betrayal might wake press up that they're being used by Biden
[NYPOST] President Biden’s granddaughter Naomi’s White House wedding was "a private affair," and off-limits to the press.

Well, except for Vogue.

The White House press pool wasn’t allowed into The People’s House, but the fashion magazine got the full spread, the private pics, the kisses, the cake cutting, and all the pomp and circumstance.

The media is furious, but they shouldn’t be surprised. This is a president who rarely does a presser, who prefers TikTok and Instagram influencers to "60 Minutes." Of course, they pulled a bait-and-switch to only get the pictures they want published.

Why didn’t the press realize they were going to get rolled? Because they thought they’d earned the right to be there.

They’ve earned the access by spending countless hours in the press briefing room, waiting for Biden officials to come out to the podium and spin their propagandist yarns.
They’ve earned it by attending countless photo ops of the president getting shots in his fake White House set, designed to better facilitate media receiving and regurgitating his tone-deaf messages.

They’ve earned it by dismissing anything remotely critical of President Biden, his mental state, or his compromised son.

And now, when a sunny day on the lawn, reporting on the joy and excess of presidential family privilege was in the offing, they were cast aside, lied to, and didn’t even get advance copies of the shiny, exclusive coverage in Vogue.

So will the media learn its lesson?

#1  Nah. They'll be angry, but angry like a woman whose lover has gone off to be with the boys for an evening. She'll be right back with him tomorrow, because she can't live without him.

#2  I feel mostly pity knowing that Hunter has a daughter. The fact that she grifted her wedding means that I want to know less about her. Hopefully Vogue continues to waste its money as it death spirals into irrelevance.

#3  Wake up? Are you kidding? They went into this profession with their eyes wide open. To get a job with the American mainstream media, the first thing they had to do was swallow their pride. They must know they're not real journalists, they're just pretending to be real journalist. They must know they're only writing what their bosses want them to write and it's not the whole truth. They will do what they're told, they will not do what they're told not to do. I'm not sure how they live with themselves but I'm guessing it must be the total lack of morals, shame or conscience.

#4  Swallow? It's the ones that don't wipe their chins afterwards that really bug me.

#5  ^ Well, yeah, there is that.

Time is running out for Joe and Hunter Biden as GOP prepares investigation
[NYPOST] We are reliably informed that "elections have consequences," and House Republicans are eager to prove it by using their new majority to reveal Biden family corruption. Rep. James Comer of Kentucky, incoming chairman of the Oversight Committee, was blunt about his goal.

"The president’s participation in enriching his family is, in a word, abuse of the highest order," Comer said. "I want to be clear: This is an investigation of Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. S You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier...
, and that’s where our focus will be next Congress."

That’s a very big idea, which guarantees he will face very big resistance in trying to reveal the evidence and shape public opinion.

The White House is lining up a social-media defense operation and Democrats in Congress will rally to the cause, but the biggest hurdle for Republicans will be the lefty overlords who control Big Media and Big Tech. Already the Praetorian Guards are signaling their allegiance to the president and a willingness to use their power to downplay, distort or hide the facts, just as they did with The Post’s initial laptop revelations in the final weeks of the 2020 presidential campaign.

They got Joe Biden elected and they’re not likely to abandon him now. Besides, telling the truth about the president would be admitting that Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
was right about something, and that is forbidden.

BORING & UNTRUSTWORTHY
The most dramatic expression of the current willful blindness comes from the News Agency that Dare Not be Named. As I have noted, the wire service used to be boring but trustworthy. Now it’s boring and untrustworthy.

An AP weekend story about the GOP plan picked up by numerous outlets was full of the usual tropes about "conspiracy theories" regarding the Bidens and ignored Comer’s statements about probing Joe Biden, making it seem as if the focus would be only on the son.

The story also contained the following: "Joe Biden has said he’s never spoken to his son about his foreign business, and nothing the Republicans have put forth suggests otherwise."

Fake news alert!

As pure opinion in a news story, the clause is a breach of the AP claim to be a purveyor of straight news.

More important, the breezy statement that there is no evidence that Joe spoke to his son about the business is easily disproved by well-known facts AP news hounds and editors must be aware of.

There are scores of emails, photos and messages on the laptop and elsewhere showing Joe was directly involved in helping his son’s business. They traveled to China together in 2013 on Air Force Two when Joe was vice president, a trip where Hunter scored a $1.5 billion investment from a Chinese bank controlled by the Communist Party.

#1  Seems like Sean Hannity’s tik tok clock turns into a cuckoo clock every time we are suckered into believing that there will be accountability from the RINOs on the Deep State. Joe is going under the Deep State bus not because the GOP has changed but because it is time to give the American public new hope of competent leadership as their plan to destroy our economy and permanently enslave us sachets towards the finish line.
