Former CIA Director Brennan Now Comments on Judicial Ruling in Manafort Sentencing Case
[The Hill] Former CIA Director John Brennan criticized former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort's 47-month sentence as "extraordinarily lenient" on MSNBC on Thursday.

"It’s an extraordinarily lenient sentence in light of the extent and scope of Mr. Manafort’s criminality," Brennan said. "I think this sentence says a lot more about Judge Ellis than it does about Paul Manafort."

Judge T.S. Ellis III, a Reagan appointee, handed Manafort, 69, the almost four-year sentence, which was much lower than the 19 1/2 to 24 years suggested by federal guidelines on Thursday.

"You’ve been convicted of serious crimes ‐ very serious crimes ‐ by a jury," Ellis said to the court, following Manafort's sentencing hearing, but added "I think that sentencing range is excessive. I don’t think that is warranted in this case."

#3  Compared to Brennan’s sentence I think 47 months is quite harsh.

#4  Trump is obviously fine with what Brennan is doing, or he would have taken control of the organs and done something about Brennan by now.

#5  Brennan, Clapper, Schumer, AOC, Pelosi, and the insufferable Ilhan Omar... all moved into Trump's 'useful idiots' pasture.

Let them chirp on.

Fox News Chris Wallace discovers his liberal friends have turned on him
[Daily Caller] Fox News anchor Chris Wallace accused some Democrats of having "Fox derangement syndrome" after the Democratic National Committee (DNC) banned the network from hosting any Democratic primary debates.

DNC Chairman Tom Perez announced the ban Wednesday in response to a report from the New Yorker claiming the cable news network has become a propaganda outlet with a too-cozy relationship with President Donald Trump and his administration.

"Recent reporting in the New Yorker on the inappropriate relationship between President Trump, his administration and Fox News has led me to conclude that the network is not in a position to host a fair and neutral debate for our candidates," Perez said in a statement. "Therefore, Fox News will not serve as a media partner for the 2020 Democratic primary debates."

Several of the network’s anchors weighed in on the ban and pointed out that Fox News’ Chris Wallace moderated a 2016 presidential debate during the general election.

Wallace responded to the news himself on Fox News Radio with Brian Kilmeade on Thursday and did not hold back his feelings about Democrats who support the decision.

"You know how we talk about ’Trump derangement syndrome,’ or [similar obsession with] Obama? I think that, in the left wing of the Democratic Party, there is ’Fox derangement syndrome,'" Wallace asserted.

U.S. senators say Saudi crown prince has gone 'full gangster'
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Retired General John Abizaid, President Donald Trump’s nominee to be ambassador to Saudi Arabia, defended the U.S.-Saudi relationship on Wednesday as lawmakers accused the kingdom of a litany of misdeeds and criticized its crown prince as going "full gangster."

Senators at Abizaid’s confirmation hearing including Trump’s fellow Republicans as well as Democrats condemned the kingdom’s conduct in the civil war in Yemen, heavy-handed diplomacy and rights abuses. Among those were the torturing of women’s activists and a U.S. citizen and the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Abizaid called for accountability for the murder of Khashoggi, a U.S. resident, and support for human rights, but repeatedly stressed the strategic importance of Washington-Riyadh ties.

Despite increasing tension between the two countries, the United States has not had an ambassador to Saudi Arabia since Trump became president in January 2017.

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown will not run for president in 2020
[VINDY] U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown
Dem senator from Ohio who harbors the same presidential ambitions as the rest of his colleagues. At a distance he is indistinguishable from most other Dem politicians, including the females...
will not run for president in 2020.

Brown, a Cleveland, kept in touch with the world by Obamaphone,
...was ruled by a Democrat machine from 1942 through 1971. After the river caught fire during the administration of Carl Stokes they tried a Republican, then went back to being Democrats when the party hacked up Dennis Kucinich ...
Democrat, announced today that he has "decided the best place for me to continue fighting for Ohio and for the dignity of workers across the country, all workers, is to stay in the U.S. Senate."

He said he made the decision Wednesday after saying as recently as a few days ago that he would decide whether he’d run by the end of this month.

Brown, who was re-elected to the Senate to a third six-year term last year, had recently visited several early primary/caucus states including Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina.

"Being president isn’t something I have dreamed of my whole life or even for years," Brown said. "My goal for our tour is to make the dignity of work the centerpiece of the Democrats’ 2020 campaign because I believe that’s the way to beat Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
