Allen Keyes: The Party of Atrocity - Alias 'Democratic Socialism'
[WND] "The Democrat Party has apparently abandoned the modicum of respect for innocent, helpless, human life that led many Democrats in Congress to support the BAIPA [Born Alive Infant Protection Act] in 2002. Anti-life Democrat ideologues, prevalent among them now, have surrendered that shred of decency. Despite their loud denunciations of that surrender, GOP members of Congress and Trump administration officials will be suspect if they do not ask President Trump to end the long, bipartisan failure to see that the BAIPA is faithfully executed." ("U.S. law already protects infants who survive abortion")

I made the suggestion quoted above in an article I wrote about a week before beginning work on this one. I thought it worthwhile to point out the equal protection of the laws that should already safeguard the lives of babies who survive an abortion. In light of that fact, politicians who pretend to care about their fate can be held accountable for their failure to do or demand action that the Supreme Law of the Land already requires.

The BAIPA of 2002 passed both Houses of Congress by large majorities that included most of the Democrats. But only three Democrats voted to support the similarly intended bill defeated in the U.S. Senate last week. Apparently, the party of pre-natal abortion has decided to "hoist the jolly roger." They openly flaunt their intention to impose the death penalty on innocent newborn persons who have the effrontery to evade that unjust sentence. So, the party of abortion now confesses the truth many of us have always told: They are the party of infanticide as well.

Tragically, some of the people who profess to deplore what they point to as a shocking change may themselves be acting disingenuously. After all, when the Democrats chose Barack Obama as their nominee for president in 2008, they anointed a bold advocate of infanticide as their party’s standard bearer. Everyone who supported or failed to oppose Obama had no excuse for not being aware of this fact.

Though I was not the first or only one to do so, as his opponent in the 2004 Illinois election for the U.S. Senate, I repeatedly pointed out Obama’s shocking embrace of infanticide. Along with other dutiful proponents of the God-endowed, unalienable right to life, I decried the travesty of the ungodly honor the University of Notre Dame bestowed upon him in 2009, falsely proclaiming him a "Doctor of Laws" despite his adamant rejection of the "laws of nature and of nature’s God" in light of which the People of the United States first declared their existence as a free people, and entitled to govern themselves as such.

Thomas Sowell on Clinton's Alabama Speech (video)
[FOX] Political scientist Dr. Thomas Sowell said Wednesday that Hillary Clinton spread reportedly false information about voter suppression during a speech in the historically important city of Selma, Ala.

Speaking during a reception to mark the 54th anniversary of "Bloody Sunday," Clinton claimed that as many as 80,000 people were refused the right to vote in Wisconsin in the 2016 election.

"[They] were turned away from the polls because of the color of their skin, because of their age, because of whatever excuse could be made up to stop a fellow American citizen from voting," Clinton said.

The Washington Post gave Clinton four out of four possible "Pinocchios" for the statement, which is called "wrong on multiple levels" and "seriously misleading."

"She thinks it'll get her some votes," Sowell said on "The Ingraham Angle" Wednesday.

Six reasons the DNC blacklisting of Fox News for presidential debates is a spectacular mistake
[American Thinker] Tom Perez, chair of the Democratic National Committee, has handed a gift to President Trump with his announcement that the party would not allow Fox News Channel to provide a forum for presidential debates among its contenders for the nomination.

In a statement Wednesday, DNC Chairman Tom Perez cited a story in the New Yorker magazine this week that detailed how Fox has promoted President Trump's agenda. The article, entitled "The Making of the Fox News White House," suggested that the news network had become a propaganda vehicle for Trump.

Here are six reasons why this is a gigantic blunder.

AOC: America Should Not Have Authorized Military Force in Response to 9/11 Attacks
[The Lid] In a series of late-night tweets, Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez argued Monday that the United States shouldn’t have authorized military force against those behind the 9/11 attacks.

Ocasio-Cortez was responding to a social media post by Rep. Juan Vargas (D-CA) criticizing Rep. Ilhan Omar for a series of recent anti-Semitic comments.

"It is disturbing that Rep. Omar continues to perpetuate hurtful anti-Semitic stereotypes that misrepresent our Jewish community," Vargas stated. "Additionally, questioning support for the U.S.-Israel relationship is unacceptable."

The New York socialist objected to the notion that one cannot question foreign policy, incorrectly claiming both major political parties were in agreement in ratifying an Authorization to Use Military Force (AUMF) for the Iraq War.

Shouldn’t Have Responded to Terrorist Attack
Lee was actually the lone dissenter on an AUMF voted on in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The Iraq War resolution was objected by more lawmakers, passing the House by a vote of 297-133, and the Senate 77-23.

Ocasio-Cortez later corrected her tweet by saying it was the war in Afghanistan she was referring to, adding that "we shouldn’t have been in either" war.

The AUMF Lee objected to was voted on Septemeber 14th, 2001, just days after Osama Bin Laden and al Qaeda murdered thousands of Americans on U.S. soil.

India-Pakistan
Ballots & blood
[DAWN] WHY do Indian voters need to ink their ballot papers with the blood of Paks?

Mrs Indira Gandhi tried this ploy to secure a landslide victory in the 1970s, and succeeded. Mr Narendra Modi repeated the trick, and failed. Gradually, Prime Minister Modi’s bellicosity has revealed the extent to which he will go to retain a majority in the Lok Sabha. He entered India’s parliament first five years ago. He intends not to leave it until at least May 2024, if not beyond, whatever the cost to his country.

His latest ruse ‐ a ’pre-emptive’ IAF attack on Balakot within Pakistain’s territory ‐ may well be his Kargil
... three months of unprovoked Pak aggression, over 4000 dead Paks, another victory for India ...
. He has sought to erase this Himalayan miscalculation by declaring with imperial disdain that he and India are one, aping Mrs Gandhi’s slogan: ’India is Indira; Indira is India.’ Such hubris is costly. A BJP-led coalition may return to power but deny Mr Modi entry into the prime minister’s office.

Ironically, he may have assured Imran Khan
... aka Taliban Khan, who is the lightweight's lightweight...
a second term as Pakistain’s prime minister, and an extension for Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa as COAS. After May 2019, any Indian prime minister will have to deal with the growing sagacity of one buttressed by the iron tenacity of the other.

Napoleon once asked whether a particular marshal was lucky. Prime Minister Modi needs luck and success, and both are eluding him. While his government coerces India’s plasticine press into improbable postures of patriotism, he is being hounded by the opposition. Over 20 significant parties, led by Rahul/Sonia Gandhi’s Indian National Congress, have challenged Prime Minister Modi, accusing him of "blatant politicisation of sacrifices of armed forces by the ruling party". It is an unprecedented indictment, a parliamentary revolt during wartime.

Financial Action Task Force action plan
[DAWN] THE finance secretary has warned that Pakistain risks coming under sanctions if the action plan given to the Financial Action Task Force is not implemented in full. Considering that he was present at the latest meetings of the global terror-financing watchdog held in Gay Paree, and personally witnessed the proceedings, his warnings need to be taken seriously.

The prime minister has struck the right note in emphasising the National Action Plan once again and issuing the necessary orders to seize the assets and halt the operations of proscribed outfits. In the days to come, the resolve behind this move will be tested, and it is important that the government’s focus not be diluted as it moves ahead to clamp down on banned outfits here.

The finance secretary’s remarks suggest that Pakistain had a difficult time at the Gay Paree meetings of FATF last month. Eight organizations were named in the FATF blurb issued afterwards. This is unusual, because while these groups have always been at the heart of Pakistain’s dealings with FATF, they had never been named previously.

Apparently in the run-up to the Gay Paree meetings, Pakistain had submitted a terror risk assessment matrix to the Asia Pacific Group, the regional grouping of FATF to which Pakistain belongs. In that, it had designated the eight named groups as ’low risk’, and this created problems in the Gay Paree meeting. India seized the opportunity and tried to rally countries to put Pakistain on the blacklist with immediate effect; it took strenuous diplomatic pushback from the government to pre-empt that move.

Having narrowly averted being blacklisted in February, the government must not allow history to repeat itself. The same steps have been taken by previous governments as well, only to be allegedly stymied by the powerful handlers that these groups have.

The presence of these groups drove Pakistain towards a difficult position internationally and imposed a steep economic cost as the country’s financial system was flagged as being open to risk of terror financing. The grey listing, as it is known in FATF parlance, was lifted with great difficulty and much wrangling back in 2015 against Pakistain’s commitments of further action against these groups. However,
Switzerland makes more than cheese...
whatever action was taken was clearly not enough, and the country slipped back onto the grey list.

Today, we face the prospect of being put on the blacklist if concrete steps are not evident to what will undoubtedly be a sceptical FATF audience in June. These groups and their existence on Pak soil have become much more than a nuisance and an embarrassment.

It is quite clear that none of them should have any presence here. The finance secretary’s remarks need to be absorbed fully and earnest action against proscribed groups must be taken immediately to eliminate the scourge once and for all.

Olde Tyme Religion
Mark Steyn: Two-Mile Tailbacks at Jew-Hate Junction
Key paragraphs:
[SteynOnline] Lent with the lenders: as Ilhan Omar
Somali-American Dem representative from Minnesota. She is apparently married to her brother and may be her own grandmaw...
would say, it's all about the Belgian benjamins.

As Laura Rosen Cohen likes to say, everyone meets at Jew-Hate Junction: excitable young Mohammedans, secular polytechnic Euro-lefties, anti-globalist conspiracy theorists... It's getting pretty crowded over there. As I wrote almost exactly a decade ago about the Ismalization of Europe:

There are already many points of cultural friction‐from British banks' abolition of children's 'piggy banks' to the enjoining of public doughnut consumption by Brussels police during Ramadan. And yet on one issue there is remarkable comity between the aging ethnic Europeans and their young surging Moslem populations...

...Jews.

Young Moslems do not like Jews: that is a simple fact, and it's a waste of everybody's time denying it. Where Moslems predominate, Jews vanish - as in Molenbeek, across the canal from downtown Brussels. I remember from my childhood the main drag, the Chaussée de Gand (or Steenweg op Gent, if you're Phlegmish, as my mum was), as a bustling strip with many Jewish businesses. But in the first decade of the 21st century they all disappeared, and their former owners chose to remain silent ‐ because it was easier that way.

So it's getting pretty crowded at Jew-Hate Junction, with various strains of anti-Semitism jostling hither and yon. In the past twenty-four hours, Twitter has went kaboom! with scenes from the annual Lenten carnival in Aalst, a city halfway between Ghent and Brussels, and just south of my mum's hometown of Sint-Niklaas. The parade floats included two giant hook-nosed Jew puppets with sidelocks and streimels, both with gold coins at their feet and one with a rat on his shoulder - and accompanied by a song about getting "extra fat" on full money-bags that are "Jewishly beautiful". Social media has erupted, the European Commission has weighed in, and the Simon Wiesenthal Center has written to the Belgian Government.
More about the Aalst float, with images, can be seen here.
And it's not worth worrying about because it's nothing to do with Europe's future: it's a last gasp of a dying Europe, of a Continent whose oldest cultural traditions, such as Christmas markets, have either to be canceled or held behind bollards and armed guards. Europe
...also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
is losing even the consolations of culture, and so one day, not very far off, a Lenten parade that dates from the Middle Ages will be gone.

Whereas Corbyn's Labour Party is very much Europe's future: the alliance between the secular left and Islam. Whatever the squeamishness of the few remaining old-school Judeophile socialists, they understand where the basic math of the new demography is leading.

Could it happen in America? Well, consider Ilhan Omar, a savvy Somali who briefly married her brother for the purposes of immigration fraud and yet became the darling of the new Minnesota Democrats. She's been in Congress barely a month, but already it's clear her horribles parade never ends: She has said that with Jews it's "all about the benjamins" - which is the same message as that Aalst parade, yet made by an already influential US Congresswoman.

I'm very bored by the smooth taqqiya Moslems who profess to dig the interfaith outreach. On balance, I prefer the likes of Ms Omar, who just can't help herself. She'll back down a little when Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi
Congresswoman-for-Life from the San Francisco Bay Area, born into a family of professional politicians. Formerly Speaker of the House, but it's not her fault they lost. Really. Noted for her heavily botoxed grimace...
orders her to, but forty-eight hours later comes roaring Tweeting back ...and dares the Democrats to call her on it.

The House Leadership just backed down. Like Corbyn in London, it can no longer even insist on its anti-Semitic bona fides without weaseling and equivocating. That's very telling - and, unlike puppet grotesques in a medieval Lenten parade, it's not the last throes of the past but a glimpse of the future.

The Daily Mail notes: Democratic presidential candidates Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren all DEFEND Rep. Ilhan Omar as she faces a wave of criticism over her 'anti-Semitic' remarks

Top Democrat Tells Holocaust Survivors To Check Their Privilege
[The Federalist] Democratic Whip Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) defended his colleague Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) by reasoning that she is higher than Jews on the pyramid of intersectionality. In an interview with The Hill on Wednesday, Clyburn trivialized Holocaust survivors when he implied that Omar’s time in a Kenyan refugee camp outweighed the experiences of Jews.

Her experience, Clyburn argued, is much more empirical ‐ and powerful ‐ than that of people who are generations removed from the Holocaust, Japanese internment camps during World War II and the other violent episodes that have marked history.

"I’m serious about that. There are people who tell me, ’Well, my parents are Holocaust survivors.’ ’My parents did this.’ It’s more personal with her," Clyburn said. "I’ve talked to her, and I can tell you she is living through a lot of pain."

Clyburn is the third-highest ranking Democrat in the House, who has shared a stage with the notorious anti-semite Louis Farrakhan. According to Clyburn’s logic, it’s OK to hate Jews if you rank higher than them on the hierarchy of victimhood. Omar is a Muslim woman who was born in Somalia and had to flee violence in her country, so Democrats believe her hate speech should be excused, while Holocaust survivors should sit quiet.
Louis Farrakhan might certainly agree with Rep. Clyburn.

According to ANC MPL Sharon Davids the DA "fabricated" the Day Zero water crisis in the Western Cape in order to set the scene for the desalination contracts and kickbacks that would follow from the "Jewish mafia". It's a comment that is bizarre and frightening on so many levels.

Nation's Gen Xers Announce Plan To Just Sit Back And Enjoy Watching Boomers, Millennials Tear Each Other To Shreds
[Babylon Bee] U.S.‐The nation's population of Gen Xers announced Thursday they would be continuing their policy of just sitting back and enjoying watching boomers and millennials blame each other for everything.

"We're just gonna slowly back away and stay out of the crossfire," said Mike Ganders, 49. "The boomers are blaming the millennials for everything, the millennials pin all their problems on the boomers---and frankly, I'm OK with this arrangement."

Boomers often accuse millennials of ruining the nation by being lazy, not buying houses, and eating avocado toast. Millennials, in turn, point out that boomers put the nation on a trajectory of growing debt and borrowing from future generations to fund their own lifestyles and also still haven't figured out how to use Facebook. In the meantime, savvy members of Generation X suddenly realized that they were completely off the hook for their own faults, and so decided to simply watch from a safe distance as the generations that bookend them blast each other constantly.

"We kinda have it made," Ganders added. "We get all the benefits of the boomers' unsustainable social programs and get to be a little bit lazy like the millennials, and yet they skip right over us and blame the other guy."

Gen Xers did state they have one regret they will take full responsibility for: allowing grunge music to spread unimpeded.

#5  It's amusing satire, but it reveals a deeper, sadder truth for Xers.

#6  Gen X is going to be the generation that pays for it all.

It seems to me that the Millennials are paying into Social Security, etc. at twice the level that we Gen X-ers did at the same age, and they won’t get anything back. The generation that really raked it in compared to what they paid in — creating the situation that the Boomers are being blamed for — was the pre-Baby Boom Silent Generation, born during the Great Depression and WWII. The Baby Boomers have been seeing retirement ages raised and cost of living increases disappear just as they reach retirement age. So yes, they did increase benefits without much thought, but they were adding gingerbread trimming to the house that FDR designed and the Silents built.

#7  Yeah, those darn boomers...living under threat of nuclear holocaust from the day they were born. Lucky they never launched that one. They don't like socialism and they all think borders should be secure.

Could Abortion Be Mandatory under the Totalitarian Democrats?
[American Thinker] This query may sound like a kooky conspiracy theory, but we must give it serious consideration. It is possible that "pro-choice" could morph into no choice.

My first encounter with abortion fervor was in 1975, at the beginning of my residency in obstetrics and gynecology. This was only two years after Roe v. Wade, and most of the faculty and residents had applauded that decision with almost religious zeal. Most considered it a victory of women's health, and there was absolutely no concern for the embryo and fetus.

Out of a house staff of 20 residents, only two of us refused to do abortions. There was great pressure on us to conform, and we had to meet with the chairman to explain our position. We were asked if this was a Catholic thing. It was not, and we countered that it should not matter. This was a personal choice. (I guess "pro-choice" did not apply to non-abortionists.) I explained that I could not be the knight in shining armor, saving the lives of mother and baby, and then don the executioner's black hood for the next encounter. Trying to be both of those people seemed a form of moral schizophrenia.

The pressure on us remained, but perseverance won. Despite implied threats to our employment, we did not have to submit. To this day, after delivering more than 8,000 babies over 40 years, I am proud not to have the black stain of killing fetuses on my immortal soul.

#1  Ever notice how many things start with 'education', then become 'choice', then become 'mandatory'? You can say its a 'straw man' arguement, but look what's happened to straws.
