'We came out of the White House dead broke and in debt': Hillary Clinton

#3  I guess she misses the cattle future and whitewater days.

Of course the mainstream media would never consider the fact that if she really left the Whitehouse broke then she would be uniquely unqualified to be president of a country 18 trillion in debt.

#7  ‘We came out of the White House dead broke and in debt’

The leftist propaganda arm (MSM) of the Democratic Party is tooting about how Hilda overcame adversity and struggle during this dark period in her life. Gimme a friggin break--maybe she should tour the VA Hospitals and visit some of the vets who have really experienced adversity and struggle.

Hillary has mistaken many of the people out here in fly-over land as someone who gives a rat's ass about her difficulties in dealing with Bill philandering and the fall-out from that.

IRS Sent Confidential Information On Nonprofit Groups To FBI
[DAILYCALLER] Former Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner sent confidential taxpayer information about nonprofit groups to the Federal Bureau of Investigation days before the 2010 midterm elections.

New emails provided by the Department of Justice (DOJ) to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform for its investigation into the IRS targeting scandal show that the IRS sent 21 disks containing 1.1 million pages of information on groups to the FBI, which is overseen by DOJ, in October 2010.

DOJ has the authority to monitor elections nationwide. Lerner previously coordinated with DOJ in 2013 to attempt to prosecute conservative activist groups.

The Daily Caller previously reported that Lerner shared confidential taxpayer information on nonprofit groups with high-ranking White House officials Ellen Montz and Jeanne Lambrew in 2012. Lerner was held in contempt of Congress by a full House vote after stonewalling the chamber's investigation into her improper targeting of conservative and tea party groups between 2010 and 2012.

"We were extremely troubled by this new information, and by the fact that the IRS has withheld it from the Committee for over a year," House Oversight chairman Rep. Darrell Issa and Oversight member Rep. Jim Jordan wrote in a letter to IRS Commissioner John Koskinen. "We were astonished to learn days ago from the Justice Department that these 21 disks contained confidential taxpayer information protected by federal law. We ask that you immediately produce all material explaining how these disks were prepared and transmitted to the FBI."

"The IRS's transmittal of this information to the FBI shows that the IRS took affirmative steps to provide sensitive evidentiary material to law-enforcement officials about the political speech of nonprofits," Issa and Jordan wrote. "At the very least, this information suggests that the IRS considered the political speech activities of nonprofits to be worthy of investigation by federal law-enforcement officials. The IRS apparently considered political speech by nonprofit groups to be so troublesome that it illegally assisted federal law-enforcement officials in assembling a massive database of the lawful political speech of thousands of American citizens, weeks before the 2010 midterm elections, using confidential taxpayer information."

#1  I thought the FBI was investigating the IRS; apparently they are working together. Sounds to me like a special prosecutor is required to look into the IRS targeting.

#2  Next they'll a special prosecutor to investigate everyone the special prosecutor's office, because they've been implicated in doing their jobs semi correctly.

War Gear Flows to Police Departments
[NY Times] Inside the municipal garage of this small lakefront city, parked next to the hefty orange snowplow, sits an even larger truck, this one painted in desert khaki. Weighing 30 tons and built to withstand land mines, the armored combat vehicle is one of hundreds showing up across the country, in police departments big and small.

The 9-foot-tall armored truck was intended for an overseas battlefield. But as President B.O. ushers in the end of what he called America's "long season of war," the former tools of combat -- M-16 rifles, grenade launchers, silencers and more -- are ending up in local police departments, often with little public notice.

During the B.O. regime, according to Pentagon data, police departments have received tens of thousands of machine guns; nearly 200,000 ammunition magazines; thousands of pieces of camouflage and night-vision equipment; and hundreds of silencers, armored cars and aircraft.

The equipment has been added to the armories of police departments that already look and act like military units. Police SWAT teams are now deployed tens of thousands of times each year, increasingly for routine jobs. Masked, heavily armed coppers in Louisiana raided a nightclub in 2006 as part of a liquor inspection. In Florida in 2010, officers in SWAT gear and with guns drawn carried out raids on barbershops that mostly led only to charges of "barbering without a license."

Harry Reid: $1.7 Million Sale of My Home Will Create 60 Jobs!
[NATIONALREVIEW] Harry Reid
... the charismatic senator-for-life from Nevada, currently majority leader ...
isn't just moving to Las Vegas from his hometown of Searchlight, Nev., to be closer to his grandchildren -- he's also looking to give the economy a boost.

Reid and his wife Landra sold their home in Searchlight for $1.7 million to Nevada Milling and Mining, a mining company, over the weekend. Reid said, according to KSNV, that the the expansion of the mine allowed by the sale will create about 60 jobs.

He also cited his upcoming reelection campaign in 2016 and the constant travel required to Sin City as another reason for the relocation.

So, if they Kelo'd the house, would you have gotten 1.7M? It's for the children jobs, right? Or there are many ways to get the EPA et al to shut down a little company if you don't pay the right price, but it can be made easier to get into gear by a few phone calls around the beltway?

Pro-Hillary super-PAC in fight over 'Ready for Oligarchy' merchandise
[THEHILL] A pro-Hillary Clinton
... sometimes described as America's Blond Eminence and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another George C. Marshall ...
super-PAC is facing a legal fight after trying to prevent shirts, mugs and bumper stickers that play on the group's name.

Instead of "I'm Ready for Hillary," a Minnesota activist made a line of shirts declaring "I'm Ready for Oligarchy," in the same style and with the same font as the super-PAC's images.

More like a continuation of Obama or a third term for Obama--a continuing nightmare for citizens.

#6  If hypothetically the US government were to lean really hard on Qatar's leadership, wouldn't it be possible to make them return the Taliban 5 to US custody.

Why wouldn't they actually do this? They could humiliate the Taliban before a global audience.
'We don't negotiate with terrorists. We cheat them!' they could say.

Wouldn't this turn into a big boost for Obama's popularity?

Unless this really was about appeasing the Taliban and the release was a cover story, why indeed wouldn't they annul the agreement?
