[BREITBART] Americans expect more inflation this year and remain uneasy about the direction of the economy, the University of Michigan’s survey of consumers showed Friday.
Expected inflation over the next year rose to 4.7 percent from 4.2 percent in June. That’s the highest level in over a decade.
At least for now, however, Americans still believe that inflation will remain tame over the long term. Expected inflation over the next five years is just 2.8 percent, down from 3 percent in May.
"While most consumers still expect inflation to be transitory, there is growing evidence that an inflation storm is likely to develop on the not too distant horizon. The improved finances of consumers have greatly reduced consumers’ resistance to price increases," said Richard Curtin, the chief economist of the survey.
Curtin explained the possible dynamic for inflation lasting longer than thought:
Consumers and firms currently justify their actions as temporary adjustments due to the pandemic. However justified, such changes act to generate an upward spiral in prices and wages. Moreover, the fiscal and monetary policies already in place, and the likely increases and continued accommodation now contemplated, will only increase the willingness of consumers and firms to act in ways that accelerate the upward spiral in prices and wages.
The second and final reading of the University of Michigan’s consumer sentiment index showed a sharp decline to 81.2 in July from a reading of 85.5 in June. The current conditions component declined 4.6 percent and the expectations component fell 5.4 percent.
In his analysis, Curtin says the falling income inequality will mean more spending power in the hands of the less well off. Because the propensity to spend is greater for the less wealthy, rising incomes will result in more spending, more growth, and more inflation, according to Curtin.
"The booms will end in the same way as usual: rising prices will eventually outdistance wage gains, lowering living standards, and cause an economy-wide retrenchment in spending," Curtin said.

Keep up with the inflation talk, people will not buy what they don't need; required - food, shelter, clothing, fuel for homes/transport, water and electricity.
After that, its all elective or emergency (medical) spending. Good Luck trying to 'revive' the economy.

Talk? They see it every time they fill up or go to the grocery store. It's the 'ruling' caste who have others do it for them that don't personally experience that enlightening. It's easy for them to shift from Whole Foods to Kroger. For those using Walmart there often is no shifting. It's easy for them to put off facing the impact once a month when the credit card bill comes. It's another when all you have is what treasury notes remaining in your wallet each an every time you make a purchase.
[NYPOST] Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott ... governor of Texas. Abbott is a Republican. His 2014 Dem opponent, state senatrix Wendy Davis, thought the absolute, most pressing, most important issue facing the state was abortion. Abbott beat the pantyhose off her. His 2018 opponent, Lupe Valdez didn't dwell too heavily on abortion, but she lost too... accused the Biden administration (aka the Wilmington comorra) ...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. They learnt this stuff in college, you know... Thursday of "jeopardizing the health and safety of Texans on a daily basis" after Attorney General Merrick Garland threatened a lawsuit over a new order allowing state troopers to stop and turn around vehicles suspected of carrying illegal immigrants colonists.
In a letter to Abbott, Garland claimed the governor’s order was "dangerous" as well as "contrary to federal law and cannot be enforced." The attorney general also claimed the order was unconstitutional, as it "interferes with [federal] immigration enforcement" and obstructs the "release of individuals and the ability of those individuals to comply with federal immigration law."
Garland concluded the letter by declaring that if Abbott did not rescind his order, the attorney general would "pursue all appropriate legal remedies to ensure that Texas does not interfere with the functions of the federal government."
That would certainly be interesting.
"It is clear that the Biden Administration fundamentally misunderstands what is truly happening at the Texas-Mexico border," Abbott shot back in a statement of his own Thursday. "The current crisis at our southern border, including the overcrowding of immigration facilities and the devastating spread of COVID-19 that the influx of non-citizens is causing, is entirely the creation of the Biden Administration and its failed immigration policies."
The order, enacted Wednesday, prohibits anyone except federal, state and local law enforcement officials from transporting illegal immigrants colonists detained attempting to cross the US-Mexico border. It also authorizes the stoppage of any vehicle "on reasonable suspicion" that it is violating the order. If a violation is confirmed, troopers are ordered to reroute the vehicle to its point of origin or a border crossing checkpoint or impound the vehicle if the driver refuses to be rerouted.

Texas is being invaded by a foreign nationals. Abbott should declare it as an act of war and use the TNG defend the borders. Then if Garland tries anything, charge him with treason against the state of Texas for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

If I were Gov. Abbott, I'd be framing up a 'Republic of Texas' draft declaration and making sure his National Guard leadership as well as all branches of Texas Law Enforcement are fully aware of the implications.
Properly notifying his intent along with the federal tax and defense impacts, to the perfidious traitors of the beltway (White House and the Congress) might be instructive as well. No guarantees, but they just MIGHT be reluctant to take on a Texas shi* storm.
I have little doubt the Governor could quietly mobilize a division or two of mounted (F-150) mobile civilian defense force volunteers if it became necessary.

On a side note - Texas has a separate militia structure from the NG. Several other states have them as backup when the NG is federalized and deployed out of state.
[FOX] House Democrats passed a massive legislative budget this week that allows for members of Congress to hire illegal immigrants to work for them on Capitol Hill.
The legislative funding bill "includes language to permit DACA recipients, Dreamers, to be able to work for Congress and other legislative branch agencies," Democratic Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan noted on the House floor Wednesday.
In the U.S., there are an estimated 800,000 "Dreamers" — children brought to the U.S. illegally who were protected from deportation under an Obama-era program, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
A federal judge earlier this month ruled that DACA was illegal and ordered the Biden administration to cease accepting applications for the program.

Probably because there's nothing in them that would be illegal, Raj.

On National People's Radio yesterday they were gloating about this. The announcer made a point of saying Trump's returns will *not* be made public. Not officially, of course, that would be illegal. But you know someone is going to leak them at first opportunity.
Prediction:
Given that Trump's returns have been scrutinized for years, I don't expect any news on the tax crime front. There will be shocking revelations like the fact that Trump has paid *NO TAXES* on a bazillion dollars in real estate investments. (tl;dr: that is how capital gains work, you rubes)
While it may be fun to use the legal system to torment your enemies, this will also keep Trump's name in the news. Confidence in our institutions will continue to erode. I wonder if the media will resurrect the "Walls are closing in" meme.

On CBS, Nora O'Donnell too was gloating about this. But after all these years in the malicious custody of the IRS, what do those idiots on Ways and Means expect to find that they can even understand?

^ that's why they will post haste leak them to the media, so the media will 'understand' the returns for them
[NATIONALREVIEW] The state of Georgia has filed a motion to dismiss the Department of Justice (DOJ) lawsuit aimed at its new, much-maligned election integrity law, S.B. 202, calling the legal action "a politicized intrusion into the State of Georgia’s constitutional authority to regulate the ’time, place, and manner’ of its election."Georgia secretary of state Brad Raffensperger concurred, saying in a Friday interview with National Review that "the left" had an "agenda" that they were going to push regardless of what the state’s legislature did.
"No matter what was passed, they were going to be against it and the DOJ just, in effect parroted what was already out there with the misinformation, the disinformation," he asserted. "What you saw is that Stacey Abrams ...the pudgy, sour grapes lo-o-o-o-o-ser (Loser! Loser! Loser!) of the 2018 Georgia governor's race. Stacey nominated herself to be Joe Biden's vice president nominee, to widespread national apathy. She has a very keen eye for Racism in any form, to include the imaginary... and her allies, two weeks before the bill was even passed bought ’Jim Crow 2.0,’ and they hadn’t even finalized what the reading of the bill was."
Both Raffensperger and the motion itself allege that the lawsuit fails to pass muster on a number of fronts. Most crucially, the plaintiffs predict that the law will prevent African Americans and other racial minorities from voting but the law has not been around long enough for any such result to have materialized.
"The Department of Justice has talked about what’s going to happen in the future, but Section 2 [of the Civil Rights Act] never talks about what could happen, it’s based on a results claim. There are no results," explained Raffensperger.

A fact fairly obvious by now, even to Brad Raffensperger.
Given The Ga. Election Integrity Act 2021 implementation of logical measures to combat the Socialcrats latest High Tech voter fraud and other new felony level abuses. I can understand why the Socialcrats are upset, especially Ms. Whistle Tooth's group☻.
Quoting the CEO of the Stacey Abrams-founded New Georgia Project:
“If there isn’t a way for us to repeat what happened in November 2020, we’re f---ed,”said Nsé Ufot, CEO of the Stacey Abrams-founded New Georgia Project. “We are doing what we do to make sure that not only our constituents, our base, the people, the communities that we organize with, get it. We’re trying to make sure that our elected officials get it as well.”
Given 1 of Ms. Whistle Tooth's campaign workers was caught with 4000+ phony pre-voted absentee ballots. When he forgot them in his rental car and turned it in returning to NEW YORK.
So it begs the question how many other were actually voted?
So it is understandable why they feel (know) If there isn’t a way for them to repeat what happened in November 2020, they are f---ed..

GA need to summit to the process the election laws of the state of the former Senator and now President from Delaware and ask how Georgia's is more restrictive?

All the squawk is about: "The Dems can't legally win elections if election laws are reformed so that cheating can't occur?" That's not even an argument.
Those who oppose voter integrity laws and fair elections are a boil on the rump of Georgia.
[NYPOST] A House Democrat and a Republican senator have joined together in urging President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. Joe's wife and daughter weren't killed by a drunk driver. He didn't graduate with three or even two degrees, wasn't in the top half of his law class, and his daddy didn't come home from a hard day's work in the mines and play football with the guys. The NAACP hasn't endorsed him every time he's run....... to select former B.O. regime cabinet secretary Jeh Johnson as border czar.
Rep. Henry Cuellar ...Dem representative for Texas' 28th congressional district, serving since 2005. He was a professor at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) in Laredo. He has positioned himself as a strong advocate for education. Prior to being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives he was a member of the Texas House 1987 to 2001.... (D-Texas) and Sen. Lindsey Graham ...soft-spoken senator from South Carolina, former best buddy of John Maverick McCain. Since McCain's demise, Graham has become more outspoken, more Republican and more of a supporter of President Trump. The speech he gave in support of Brett Kavanaugh was downright manly and really cheesed off the Dems... (R-SC) sent a letter to the president on Friday pointing out the need for "a special executive appointment for border issues."
"We write to you with a sense of urgency regarding the escalating situation at our southern border. In doing so, we hope to demonstrate that this bicameral concern is neither partisan nor political," the politicians wrote.
The role would ensure "sufficient federal resources are allocated to overturned U.S. border communities, and to recommend changes to our immigration policies as we work to regain control of the border."
The two cited the massive surge in illegal crossings at the United States border with Mexico, calling it a "humanitarian and public safety emergency."
"Department of Homeland Security (’DHS’) facilities and personnel are overwhelmed by the growing surge of migrants colonists, many of whom are unaccompanied children. We know this current influx is neither seasonal nor temporary," they wrote.

Didn't graduate with with three or even two degrees?
If that's not true, then it's possible the 46th president might not actually be the president? Moreover, he didn't drive a big rig either. He suffers from Hillary syndrome?
