none of my guns got violent with me over the weekend.
Possibly because you regard them as tools and not magical talismans with a life and powers all their own.
As for "bloody weekend", 6 dead in a population of ~2.7 million is only 0.0002 percent. According to my Journalism Style Guide, this is "mostly not dead".

Actually, there were 8 homicides, and 31 wounded, over the weekend in the Windy City.
Still doesn't affect your math, SteveS.

there were 8 homicides,
Before I hit "Submit", I thought about going over to Hey Jackass and getting up-to-date totals because, dollars to donuts, they're going to be higher. Of course, I didn't.
[ToloNews] At least eight local police and public uprising forces members were killed in a Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... attack in northern Kunduz province on Saturday night, a source said on Sunday.
Around 9pm local time in Imam Sahib district a group of Taliban attacked a security checkpoint and six public uprising forces and two local coppers were killed, the source said.
"The Taliban have stolen all the equipment of the security forces after the attack," the source said, adding that "the Taliban beat feet from the area before the reinforcements arrived."
Local security officials have not yet commented on the attack.
[KhaamaPress] Two women were killed and two children were maimed when a mortar shell hit a civilian house in the Dehrawod district of Uruzgan province.
Ahmad Shah Sahil, the front man for the governor of Uruzgan province, said the incident took place in the Zartala area of Dehrawod district on Saturday night.
He said the mortar shells were fired by Talibs at the house of a tribal elder in Dehradun district.
He added two women were killed and two children were maimed in the incident.
The Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... have not yet commented on the incident.
[khaamaPress] Security officials in Badakhshan say Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... fighters have taken control over parts of Faizabad city, the quiet provincial capital, after days of heavy fighting.
Badakhshan police front man Sanaullah Rouhani said security forces had retreated from the eighth district of Faizabad after several days of fierce fighting with the Taliban.
Rouhani added security forces had made a tactical retreat to prevent civilian casualties and that efforts are underway to retake the area from Taliban control.
According to the front man for provincial Police HQ, 29 Taliban fighters were killed and 64 others including three Afghan cops were maimed in the fighting.
Seven security forces were killed and three maimed during skirmish.
The northeastern province of Badakhshan is one of the provinces where Taliban fighters have a large presence and activity; the murderous Moslems are reportedly smuggling natural resources of the province to cover their war expenses.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shouting match, the spittle had reached unprecedented levels... local officials in Kandahar province say Taliban attacks on Shurabak and Takht-e-Pul districts in the province have been repelled by Afghan cops.
Kandahar police front man Jamal Barakzai told the media that 28 Taliban fighters had been killed and 20 others maimed in the festivities.
A boom-mobile on Sunday targeting an Afghan police headquarters in the western province of Ghor killed at least 12 civilians and maimed more than 100, officials said.
The attack took place in Feroz Koh, the capital of Ghor, a province that has not seen much violence compared to some other regions of the conflict-wracked country.
"The Lions of Islam detonated an explosives-filled car as a result 12 non-combatants were killed and more than 100 people were maimed," the interior ministry said.
Juma Gul Yakoobi, a Ghor health official, told AFP victims also included members of security forces.
The presidency blamed the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... for the attack.
The incident happened around 11am local time after a Toyota Corolla-brand vehicle "loaded with explosives" exploded close to the police headquarters and government offices for women, deaders and disabled affairs, the statement said.
Eyewitnesses said that a number of nearby buildings were damaged in the boom-mobile.
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Islamist and Darfur region political groups that participated in the regime of the ousted President Omer al-Bashi, on Saturday, launched a political programme saying they want to "make the transitional period successful".
The alliance of the National Programme Forces (NPF) held a meeting at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum on Saturday to inaugurate its political platform including issues of peace, federal governance, and the formation of the election commission.
"We are proposing a national project to contribute to the national construction and to reject exclusion and resentment," said NPF chairman Tijani al-Sissi who joined al-Bashir regime after signing the Doha peace agreement in July 2011.
Al-Sissi further announced the coalition’s support for the peace agreement signed between the government and the Sudanese Revolutionary Front on October 3.
Al-Sissi and other Darfurian groups who participated in the former government say they do not share the Islamist and totalitarian nature of the ousted regime but they were linked with it by a peace agreement to preserve the lives of displaced people and refugees in Darfur.
However, it was a brave man who first ate an oyster... other Darfur groups signatory of peace deals with the al-Bashir regime distanced themselves from the alliance refusing to associate themselves with Islamists groups like the Popular Congress Party (PCP) which backed al-Bashir until its collapse.
The NPF consists of the Sudan Renaissance Alliance of Tijani al-Sissi, the PCP, the Democratic Unionist Party’s faction of Ahmed Bilal, the Justice Party led by Bechara Aru, the Third Way group, and the Union of Independent Representatives, a group of former MPs in the dissolved parliament, headed by Abu al-Gasim Burtom and some other small groups.
The PCP political secretary Abdel-Wahab Saad said that the new programme calls to return to the 2005 Sudanese Interim Constitution, to avoid fallacies about the constitutional document.
Saad further said they called on the Forces for Freedom and Change to put an end to the current political polarization and to reach consensus on the success of the transition period."
For his part, Political Secretary of the Justice Party, Bechara Aru, said that the national programme is open to everyone and accepts all possible changes to make the transitional period successful.
"The forces signing the national program are supportive of democratic transformation through elections," he stressed.

Surveillance footage released by NKR army claiming to show the exact location and time when Azerbaijan launched an offensive against Armenian positions in the early morning hours of October 18, allegedly violating the ceasefire. pic.twitter.com/UouFwC03nE
The Azerbaijani AF have once again grossly violated the new HUM ceasefire. At 07: 20 after an active artillery fire, the enemy launched an attack in the S. direction (Khudaferin Reservoir) in order to occupy favorable positions. There are casualties and wounded on both sides.
An attempt was made to reach an agreement to withdraw the wounded soldiers from the battlefield, through the mediation of the #ICRC, which was rejected by #Baku. Apparent reason was Azerbaijan's planned offensive.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Samuel Paty, 47, was stabbed to death and beheaded by Aboulakh Anzorov, 18, in a northern suburb of the French capital on Friday afternoon.
Demonstrators also gathered in major cities including Lyon, Toulouse, Strasbourg, Nantes, Marseille, Lille and Bordeaux.
It has been revealed that Islamist terrorist Anzorov filmed himself killing and then beheading Paty outside the gates of his school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine before sharing a video of the victim's severed head to fellow ISIS supporters.
It also emerged that the half-sister of the Russian-born killer travelled to Syria to join ISIS in 2014 and was the subject of an anti-terror investigation.
Previously reported as the half-sister of the complaining father — no doubt it will soon be revealed which is true.
Investigations are focusing on Brahim Chnina, father of a 13-year-old girl in Paty's class, who denounced the teacher online and gave details of the school. He has since been arrested.
Branding Mr Paty a thug in a video posted on Twitter sometime in the last week, he asked the community to complain about the teacher's behaviour. The killer is presumed to have seen the video and acted upon it.
After the killing, Anzorov himself shared pictures and videos online with Chechen ISIS Telegram channels, and also denounced President Emmanuel Macron as the 'leader of the infidels'.
Chnina, the concerned parent, and an Islamic activist friend, Abdelhakim Sefrioui, are among 11 people who have been arrested in connection with the attack.
The video shared by Chnina sparked community outrage and was shared by a mosque in Pantin, a Parisian suburb. Days later, Mr Paty was stabbed and decapitated.

Police today raided the homes of dozens of suspected militants in a crackdown which interior minister Gerald Darmanin said was intended to send a message that 'enemies of the Republic' will not enjoy 'a minute's respite'.
Darmanin told Europe 1 radio that police operations were continuing against 'dozens of individuals' after 11 people were arrested over the weekend and Emmanuel Macron vowed new measures against extremism.
He said there were about 80 investigations under way into online hate speech in France and that he was looking into whether or not certain groups from the French Muslim community should be dissolved.
According to Le Monde, Anzorov had tried to bribe students with hundreds of euros for information about the teacher, with a 15-year-old pupil apparently among those arrested. The boy 'absolutely denies knowing what Anzorov was going to do,' said an investigating source.
Investigators believe 'support for ISIS and other links to extreme Islamism' prompted Anzorov to approach the Bois-d'Aulne school with weapons including a 14-inch kitchen knife and an air pistol.
Anzorov had travelled 50 miles from his home in Evreux to get to the school, where Mr Paty taught history and geography.
Anzorov 'had recently taken up boxing' and had been dismissed from a 'wrestling club in Toulouse' last year, a source told Le Parisien. The club was registered by the French Wrestling Federation but was known for attracting radicalised youths, including many of Chechen origin.

As I have repeatedly stated and will continue to do so.
ANTI-FA
is the very thing they claim to be against.
Their tactics, violence, their deep root anti-Jewish elements in the group and the supporting Democrat Party. Make it clear they are the latest version of National Socialism's BROWN SHIRTS.
BTW: There are a number of videos and Pictures floating around of the ANTI-FA Protesters, New Marxist BLM, the Pinkies and even more radical groups attending and being part of the same groups.
I totally agree with Trump, given these groups openly displayed Violent history, they should be declared Domestic Terrorists and arrested and place on trial.

Yesterday’s Reuters report completely neglected to mention that the Women’s March was actually a counter protest, and that it was not just the usual run of Fourth Wave feminists screeching.
[PostMillennial] A female Trump supporter was allegedly attacked and hospitalized by Women’s March and Black Lives Matter activists after she participated in a pro-Trump rally on Saturday in Washington D.C.
Isabella Maria DeLuca, whose bio identifies her as a Turning Point USA ambassador, posted images of her injuries while recovering at a local hospital. NationalFile identified DeLuca as the Outreach Director for the pro-Trump organization Republicans for National Renewal.
While there was no footage of the attack, a Breitbart News news hound attending the event captured footage of DeLuca waving a Trump flag and shouting "four more years" earlier in the day.
In a statement provided to the publication, DeLuca alleges that she was assaulted by a "older female."
"The first woman was a white older woman — she had glasses on, a glittery bedazzled Black Lives Matter shirt," DeLuca said. "She looked like she could’ve been my grandma, honestly."
According to DeLuca, the younger assailant grabbed DeLuca’s pro-Trump flag and when she tried to grab it back, the woman allegedly punched and choke her. DeLuca said that she felt reluctant to defend herself due to the advanced age of her attacker but was determined to retrieve the flag when it was snatched.
DeLuca told the publication that a younger female Black Lives Matter supporter assisted the older woman who had initially assaulted her by hitting, pushing, and punching DeLuca.
DeLuca was hospitalized following the attack and treated with a cervical collar due to her head and neck injuries. She told the publication that she was suffering from blurry vision and dizziness due to the impact.
Trump supporters turned out in Washington DC outside the Supreme Court today to show their support for Amy Coney Barrett. They were met by a large group of counter-protestors from the Women’s March and Black Lives Matter movements.

Post sharpshooters, and eliminate the attempts of the putschists to inflict serious bodily harm. The common law, the U.S. Constitution, federal law, and commonsensical prudence require such countermeasures.
[IsraelNationalNews] A Russian fighter jet was involved in an air “incident” with an Israeli civilian aircraft Sunday.
According to a report by Yediot Aharonot Monday morning, an Israir Airlines Airbus A320 aircraft was flying from the Greek island of Rhodes back to Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport Sunday afternoon, when a Russian Air Force Su-27 fighter jet approached it without warning.
The Russian fighter jet reportedly approached the Israeli aircraft as soon as the civilian plane entered Cypriot airspace.
The report said that the Israeli plane and its passengers were not in danger during the incident. The Su-27 flew to within a distance of approximately one mile (1.6 kilometers) from the A320, and travelled at high speed during the incident.
Several additional civilian aircraft were in the vicinity at the time of the incident, and also reported the disruption to Cypriot air traffic officials, who worked to ensure that the civilian planes remained at a safe distance from the Russian fighter.
Russia has reportedly increased its air activity around Cyprus, ostensibly to protect Russian forces operating off the Syrian coast, east of Cyprus.
