Woman Behind SAS 'War Crimes' Report Breaks Her Silence
[ToloNews] The woman who interviewed hardened special forces soldiers to uncover horrifying 'war crimes' by Australian troops in Afghanistan has broken her silence, Daily Mail reported.

Dr Samantha Crompvoets is the author of a secret 2016 report commissioned by military chief General Angus Campbell, according to the report.

Daily Mail reports that four years after her investigation, which led to a report due out this week that could result in charges against 10 soldiers, she said it appeared Australian special forces soldiers were 'killing as a sport'.

"One of the most disturbing things for me was people saying the phrase 'it happened all the time','" she told 60 Minutes on Sunday night, as quoted by Daily Mail.

"We're not talking about a couple of fog of war events that were, you know, perhaps confusing to understand. This is deliberate repeated patterns of behaviour. 'What was described to me... is that there was a killing for sport mentality," she said as quoted by Daily Mail.

She said SAS members were 'obsessed' with the 'kill boards' they kept on their walls that included murdered prisoners and civilians to increase their counts.

Dr Crompvoets, 44, detailed a series of often-brutal accounts that have emerged about the conduct of Australia's elite special forces units, according to Daily Mail.

They range from reports of troops killing a six-year-old child in a house raid, to a dead man's hand being severed, to a prisoner being rubbed out to save space in a helicopter, Daily Mail report says.

One of the more harrowing cases was that of two 14-year-old boys who were allegedly executed by SAS soldiers, her report read.

"They were stopped and searched and their throats were slit. The rest of the troop then had to 'clean up the mess' by finding others to help dispose of the bodies... the bodies were bagged and thrown in a nearby river," her report read.

Leaked portions of her report documented at least 12 cases of Afghans who 'posed no threat' being executed by Australian SAS operators, Daily Mail reports.

This comes as SBS News reported last week that a special investigator will be appointed to probe allegations of war crimes by Australian special forces in Afghanistan and prosecute any criminal misconduct, following a four-year inquiry into possible breaches of law between 2005 and 2016.

Announcing the new investigation on Thursday, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said it would "go for an indeterminate amount of time" and address the criminal matters raised in the inspector-general's report, SBS report said.

"The Office of the Special Investigator will ... investigate those allegations, gather evidence and, where appropriate, refer briefs to the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions for consideration," he told news hounds in Canberra.

"There is a significant number of incidents or issues to be investigated further and that investigation will be inherently complex."

Kabul Attack Probe Team Faces Lack of Cooperation by Central Bank
[ToloNews] A parliamentary probe team investigating the attack on the Central Bank employees on Monday said the bank officials are refusing to help them in their investigation.

The attack happened in Makrorayan-e-Char area in Kabul’s PD9 on November 7 in which three employees of the Central Bank, including former TOLOnews presenter Yama Siawash, were killed. A member of the team says that lack of cooperation by the bank officials has challenged the process.

"We asked them to allow us to see the CCTV cameras to know whether explosives were placed (on the vehicle) inside the compound of the bank or outside. The IT head ignored (our request) and did not respond to our letters and did not allow us to see the recordings of the cameras. We went to the bank two days back to back, but it had no outcome," said Nazifa Zaki, an MP and a member of the probe team.

Central Bank officials have not commented on the remarks so far.

Days after the Kabul blast, a similar attack happened in Helmand
...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan...
in which Radio Azadi news hound Elyas Dayee was killed.

"Threats against journalists are on the rise. The government often speaks about investigating cases of violence against journalists," said Basir Fitri, a journalist.

"No one has been punished on charges of violence against journalists," said Jawad Darwish, a journalist.

Journalists said perpetrators behind assassinations should be recognized.

No group has grabbed credit for the two attacks.

Turkey to send soldiers for Karabakh 'peacekeeping centre'
[AlAhram] Erdogan's request followed two days of talks in Ankara with Russian officials about how the two regional powers intend to jointly implement a Russian-brokered ceasefire signed last week

Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important...
asked parliament Monday to authorise sending soldiers to Azerbaijan to establish a "peacekeeping centre" with Russia to monitor a truce over the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region.
Erdogan's request followed two days of talks in Ankara with Russian officials about how the two regional powers intend to jointly implement a Russian-brokered ceasefire signed last week.

The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
is one of Azerbaijan's closest allies and has strongly defended its right to reclaim lands it lost to ethnic Armenian separatists in a 1988-94 war.

The Russia-brokered deal brought an end to more than six weeks of fighting that claimed more than 1,400 lives and saw ethnic Armenians to agree to withdraw from large parts of the contested region of Azerbaijan.

Erdogan asked parliament Monday to deploy a mission to "establish a joint centre with Russia and to carry out the centre's activities".

The deployment would be active for one year and its size determined by Erdogan.

Russia is sending 1,960 peacekeepers as well as armoured personnel carriers and other military equipment to monitor the truce deal.

Moscow has stressed repeatedly that Turkey will have no troops on the ground under the truce deal's terms.

The Russian-brokered agreement states that a "peacekeeping centre is being deployed to control the ceasefire" but does not specify its formal role.

Armenian foreign minister resigns: Ministry spokeswoman
[AlAhram] Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan resigned from his post on Monday, the ministry's spokeswoman wrote on Facebook.

Mnatsakanyan had held the position since May 2018.

The government of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has come under pressure with thousands of demonstrators protesting last week to demand he resign over a ceasefire that secured territorial advances for Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh after six weeks of fighting.

Dutch prosecutors: Saudi embassy shooting had terror motive
[IsraelTimes] Dutch prosecutors say that the shooting last week targeting the Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
n embassy building in The Hague was carried out with a "terrorist" motive.

A 40-year-old suspect arrested on the day the embassy was sprayed with gunfire appeared today before an investigating magistrate. He was ordered held for a further 14 days as investigations continue.

Nobody was injured in the early morning shooting last Thursday that left the white facade and several windows of the embassy riddled with bullet holes.

Prosecutors say in a statement that the man, whose identity was not released, is suspected of crimes "with a terrorist motive" including attempted murder or manslaughter of an embassy guard and "violence toward the building of an internationally protected person."
That’s awfully vague. Do they mean he is a jihadi, an anti-Muslim neo-Nazi, an Iranian sock puppet, a Black Bloc anarcho-communist, Frisian separatist?

Trial starts over foiled Paris train attack that inspired Clint Eastwood movie
[IsraelTimes] 2015 incident saw 4 US citizens, 2 of them off-duty soldiers, thwart heavily armed gunman; director on witness list.

A Moroccan man and three alleged accomplices went on trial in La Belle France Monday for an attempted terror attack on an Amsterdam-Gay Paree train five years ago that was foiled by passengers whose heroic actions were turned into a Hollywood film.

Director Clint Eastwood, 90, is on the witness list for the trial in Gay Paree, scheduled to last until December 17. It is believed his 2018 film "The 15:17 to Gay Paree" will serve as a reconstruction of the events of August 21, 2015.

Man Charged with Spying for Egypt while Working for Merkel
These things will happen, even among friends, I suppose.
[AnNahar] A man who worked in German Chancellor Angela Merkel
...chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslem colonists...
's press office has been charged with spying for Egypt, prosecutors said Monday.

The German national, named as Amin A., began working for the visitor service of the federal government press office (BPA), headed by Merkel's front man Steffen Seibert, in 1999.

"He used this position from at least July 2010 to support employees of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service (GIS) in obtaining information," prosecutors said in a statement.

Born in Egypt, the man is accused of using his language skills and the resources available to him at the BPA to survey and compile reports on the German media, especially about domestic and foreign policy.

He also participated in an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to recruit a source for the GIS in 2014 and 2015 by providing secret service staff with a contact.

In return for his efforts, Amin A. is said to have received preferential treatment from the Egyptian authorities for himself and his family, including help with his mother's pension.

He was also invited to official receptions, such as the farewell of the then Egyptian ambassador to Germany in 2019.

"There are indications that Egyptian services are trying to recruit Egyptians living in Germany for intelligence purposes through their visits to Egyptian diplomatic missions in Germany and their trips to Egypt," a report by the domestic intelligence service published in July said.

Aside from a brief interlude following the popular uprising that ousted president Hosni Mubarak
...The former President-for-Life of Egypt, dumped by popular demand in early 2011...
in 2011, Egypt has been ruled by the military since 1952.

The army is highly visible in Egypt's public life, with former top brass currently serving as ministers and heading governorates.

Current President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi led the army's overthrow of elected president Mohammed Morsi in 2013 following mass protests against the Islamist leader's rule.

Suspect filmed beating Trump supporters in DC is a journalism student
[PM] The Post Millennial has identified a Black Lives Matter protester and journalist filmed assaulting Trump-supporters after the "Million MAGA March" on Saturday in Washington, DC

Brittany S. McAlister, 29, of Washington, DC, was caught on viral video assaulting at least two individuals. She is a third-year journalism student at Howard University and works as a freelance journalist.

In the first assault caught on video later retweeted by President Trump, McAlister kicked an unconscious man on the ground after he was sucker-punched by Kenneth Wayne DeBerry, who was arrested and charged. She was holding a camera at the time.

Soon after, she sprinted up behind a woman carrying an American flag and punched her in the head before running away.

Home Front: WoT
Trump to reduce troops in Afghanistan by almost 50%, trim deployment in Iraq
[IsraelTimes] Cuts, which come after shake-up at Pentagon and installation of loyalists, would be completed just five days before Biden takes office

The Trump administration is expected to cut the number of US troops in Afghanistan almost in half to 2,500 by January 15, US officials said Monday. The order would stop short of outgoing US President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
’s goal to have all troops withdrawn by the end of the year, which had faced opposition from military and diplomatic advisers.

The Pentagon also expects to cut the number of troops in Iraq to 2,500, a reduction of more than 500. The decisions come as no surprise, following Trump’s shakeup of the Pentagon leadership last week, during which he installed loyalists who share his frustration with the continued troop presence in the war zones. The cuts give Trump an accomplishment in his final weeks in office even as he refuses to concede his election loss to Democrat Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...Candidate for president in 2020. I had the great honor of being arrested with our UN Ambassador on the streets of Soweto, trying to get to see him on Robbens Island...
The officials said military leaders were told over the weekend about the planned withdrawals and an executive order is in the works, but has not yet been delivered to commanders. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. There are between 4,500-5,000 troops in Afghanistan now, and more than 3,000 in Iraq.

Under the planned order, the troop cuts would be completed just five days before Biden takes office, leaving him with a smaller military footprint in the two key war zones. Military commanders have expressed less concern about pulling more troops from Iraq, where the Iraqi forces are better able to maintain their nation’s security.

Trump’s new Pentagon chief, Christopher Miller, hinted at the troop withdrawals over the weekend in a carefully worded message to the force that suggested compromise.

He said that "we remain committed to finishing the war that al-Qaeda brought to our shores in 2001." And he warned that "we must avoid our past strategic error of failing to see the fight through to the finish."

But he also made it clear that "all wars must end."

"This fight has been long, our sacrifices have been enormous. and many are weary of war — I’m one of them," he said. "Ending wars requires compromise and partnership. We met the challenge; we gave it our all. Now, it’s time to come home."

...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
, with two months left in office, last week asked for options on attacking Iran's main nuclear site, but ultimately decided against taking the dramatic step, a US official said on Monday.

Trump made the request during an Oval Office meeting on Thursday with his top national security aides, including Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, new acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller and General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the official said.

The official confirmed the account of the meeting in The New York Times

...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

, which reported the advisers persuaded Trump not to go ahead with a strike because of the risk of a broader conflict.
What odds any of this is true? Is there even an anonymous official, or has the New York Times gone straight to quoting imaginary American officials?
"He asked for options. They gave him the scenarios and he ultimately decided not to go forward," the official said.
That’s what we hired him to do.
The White House declined comment.

Trump's request for options came a day after a U.N. watchdog report showed Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
had finished moving a first cascade of advanced centrifuges from an above-ground plant at its main uranium enrichment site to an underground one, in a fresh breach of its 2015 nuclear deal with major powers.

Iran's 2.4 tonne stock of low-enriched uranium is now far above the deal's 202.8 kg limit. It produced 337.5 kg in the quarter, less than the more than 500 kg recorded in the previous two quarters by the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency.

#3  I don't think Salami can cut it.

Besides, Soleimani's killers were air pressure and shards of metal.

More than 500 Syrians, some related to alleged ISIS group members, quit the overcrowded Kurdish-run camp of al-Hol
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

An AFP news hound saw dozens of women lugging their belongings onto trucks, and others feeding their children before their departure.

Some were accompanied by chickens and sheep, while Kurdish security forces inspected their bags as they filed out of the camp in Hassakeh province.

Sheikhmous Ahmad, a Kurdish official in charge of the region’s camps, said 515 people from 120 families were returning to areas in the east of Deir Ezzor province.

They were the first to do so after the Kurdish authorities in northeast Syria last month vowed to allow thousands of Syrians, including the families of ISIS fighters, out of the over-populated camp.

Al-Hol hosts more than 60,000 people, including 24,300 Syrians either captured or displaced by fighting to expel ISIS from their last scrap of Syrian territory almost two years ago, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

Iraqis make up the bulk of tens of thousands of foreigners in al-Hol, which also holds alleged ISIS relatives from around 50 countries, including Western nations.

Before the latest announcement, around 6,000 Syrians had left the camp in several waves, after the Arab tribes in their home regions had vouched for them.
