4 shot in DC night club last Sunday
The left can't plant a bloody flag atop this pile of wounded, but they will try.
The drinking establishment in question has had their share of troubles.
What do you call 4 shot in DC? Saturday night.
Via Weasel Zippers

Witnesses say bullets were flying and ricocheting everywhere when four people were shot outside the Ibiza night club in Northeast D.C. early Sunday morning.

The gunfire happened at 1st and M Streets, NE, shortly after 3 a.m. after the club had closed for the night.

One woman and three men were wounded, with shots to the hand, leg, and torso. None of the injuries were life threatening, D.C. police say.

Two suspects were taken into custody by police.

Neighbors say the up-and-coming area is two different neighborhoods: one by day, one by night.

One man tells ABC7 that the club “seems like a magnet for violence” as hundreds of people come out at closing time.

Shop Manager Pelted with Sex Toys in Australian Stick-Up
[An Nahar] A shop manager was pelted with sex toys by an intruder wearing a wig and crotchless pants in an Australian erotica store stick-up, police said Sunday.

The man forced his way into the Brisbane adult shop through the roof just before 5:30 am on Saturday, setting off the alarm.

"Upon being disturbed the man threw a number of items he was attempting to steal out of his hands and proceeded to climb back through the roof," police said in a statement.

"Police located the man climbing down from the roof of the business."

According to local media reports, the intruder was wearing a wig, crotchless pants and a dress.

He was charged with break and enter and drug possession offences.

"There's definitely a funny side to it," the manager, Fiona Coldrick, told The Australian newspaper.

"Obviously what he was wearing was pretty amusing.

"You've got to see the lighter side of it."

It is the second sex store robbery in northern Australia this week.

On Thursday, a man crashed through the roof of a Cairns erotica outlet during a botched burglary, making off with a "Fantasy Fetish" pack which included a saddle. He was placed in durance vile

Despite the assaults using sex toys and pot plants, the left will not push for sex toy and pot control as it is a part of their personal freedom and they feel good about such things.

Vegas cop killers tried to join militiamen at Bundy ranch.
Precisely why these militia movements are so very dangerous.
Mike Vanderboegh recounts in April how this couple was turned away from the Bundy Ranch on his recommendation. I can't find his version of events in his blog, and he doesn't reference it in his comments on the identity of the couple. Going by memory, Oathkeepers had set up a table to interview entrants into the camp when the Millers showed. According to Vanderboegh, he was uncomfortable with their presence, the man was toting a weapon even though he was a felon. On Vanderboegh's recommendation they were given some gas money and asked to leave which they did.
As you may recall, subsequent to that when Cliven Bundy made his remarks, a number of presumably conservative Golden Throats denounced the entire enterprise as intolerably racist and in the thrall of white supremacists, as if such a connection destroys the incident the same way any similar event would taint the left when they do it. It does not but in the mind of those who believe what they are told and not what they see.
This is not a battle for votes or a public relations battle. This is a war against tyrants and accusations of racism is part of the tyrant's arsenal.

Says Vanderbough :

Just got off the phone with Jerry Delemus, the head of the outer security operation the day that these folks were turned away. These people looked to me like the couple we turned away and Jerry confirmed it. He is positive on the ID. Based on the first images i saw, I was initially hesitant to make a positive ID, although they looked a lot like the folks I remembered. But both Jerry and Stewart Rhodes of Oath Keepers got a better look the pair of them than I did and while I haven't been able to reach Stewart, Jerry is convinced.

Thus, although they had been down below at the "fruits and nuts" camp for a couple of days (at least since the 14th) and had been interviewed by the media, the interview was done on the property (not owned by the Bundys) below the outer security area where we were a couple of days later when they ventured up to volunteer. The important thing, since the media are already tarring the Bundys with the "association" is:

a. The two of them never got on the Bundy property (not even the outer security camp was on Bundy property).

b. To my knowledge they never met the Bundys.

c. On my recommendation, they were turned away by both Jerry & Stewart.

If the media wishes to make the "Bundy connection" with that set of facts, they are simply parroting a regime narrative absent reality.

#1  Someone has mistakenly labeled my comments in yellow at the top as a snark. I assure you, it was not intended as such. Armed citizens, however well intended, are not treated well by history when events like the Bundy standoff go badly. All it would have taken would have been a dropped weapon, accidental discharge, or someone like these Vegas cop killers to turn the entire event into a bloodbath.

Africa Horn
Sudan Judges to Rule on Death Row Christian Woman
[An Nahar] A three-judge panel in Sudan will examine the appeal of a Christian woman sentenced to hang for apostasy, in a case that has drawn international condemnation, her lawyer said Monday.

"The judiciary appointed three judges last week to examine the appeal filed in the case of Meriam Yahia Ibrahim Ishag," lawyer Mohanad Mustafa told Agence La Belle France Presse, without specifying when they will deliver a ruling.

Ishag, who was born to a Moslem father, was sentenced to death on May 15 under the Islamic sharia law that has been in place since 1983, and which outlaws conversions under pain of death.

The 27-year-old was raised an Orthodox Christian, her mother's religion, married a Christian man originally from South Sudan and already had a 20-month-old son before she gave birth on May 27.

She has denied ever committing apostasy.

The lawyer said he had visited her on Monday at the women's prison in Omdurman, the twin city of the capital Khartoum, adding that her son and her newborn baby were with her and "healthy."

The case has embarrassed the Sudanese authorities, who gave contradictory statements last week about her release, raising the ire of Western governments and human rights
...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions...
groups.

The United States, Britannia and La Belle France have called for her to be released, but the authorities are also under pressure from radical Islamist movements in Sudan that are demanding her execution.

Her husband Daniel Wani, who has U.S. nationality, told AFP last week that he did not believe she would be freed.

Amnesia Amnesty International said Ishag was raised an Orthodox Christian by her mother because her Moslem father was absent, and called the sentence "abhorrent."

Britain
David Cameron orders snap inspections of Birmingham schools
[The Hindu] In response to allegations that Islamic hard boyz are engaged in a plot to infiltrate and takeover the management of a group of 21 schools in Birmingham, Prime Minister David Cameron
... has stated that he is certainly a big Thatcher fan, but I don't know whether that makes me a Thatcherite, which means he's not. Since he is not deeply ideological he lacks core principles and is easily led. He has been described as certainly not a Pitt, Elder or Younger, but he does wear a nice suit so maybe he's Beau Brummel ...
on Monday ordered a system of surprise inspections to be conducted on schools.

His action comes even before the release of a series of reports by the United Kingdom's independent school inspectorate Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills). Ofsted ordered a re-inspection of these schools in the wake of the anonymous "Trojan Horse" letter, made public this March, alleging an Islamicist takeover of Moslem majority schools in Birmingham.

India-Pakistan
Govt to censor vulgar theatre shows
[DAWN] Punjab Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture Rana Mohammad Arshad announced this Monday that the government would reconstitute district-level provincial committees to censor stage dramas to prevent vulgarity in commercial theatres.

Speaking at a presser at the Rawalpindi Art Council (RAC), Mr Arshad said the government had imposed bans on 12 theatre artists in Lahore, Gujranwala and Faisalabad
...formerly known as Lyallpur, the third largest metropolis in Pakistain, the second largest in Punjab after Lahore. It is named after some Arab because the Paks didn't have anybody notable of their own to name it after...
, and would not allow vulgarity in the guise of stage dramas.

Many cinemas in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, and other cities, have been converted into theatres. The shows staged here are often of low standards and sometimes feature vulgarity. He said the shows staged at art councils follow guidelines issued by the government and avoid objectionable material.

He added that the government provided opportunities to artists to present well-written and socially relevant dramas for families, and that the provincial government had directed art councils to promote Sufi poetry and Punjabi culture through theatre, music and other art forms.

Lawyers thrash police at LHC, free fraud suspect
[DAWN] LAHORE: A group of lawyers subjected police to an audacious attack on the Lahore High Court premises on Monday after they tried to nab their client who was fleeing the court after cancellation of his bail in a fraud case.

Justice Alia Neelam rejected the pre-arrest bail plea of Shahzad Farooq after Qila Gujjar Singh police investigating officer Amjad produced evidence against the suspect.

After coming out of the courtroom, the accused tried to escape, but ASI Amjad and other cops nabbed and handcuffed him.

The police action annoyed Farooq's lawyers, who intercepted the cops outside the office of DSP security on the high court premises and started beating them up.

As the lawyers were giving a sound thrashing to the coppers with fists and kicks, the police personnel deployed at the LHC did not intervene. The lawyers took away their handcuffed client without any difficulty.

Modi govt to re-energize ties with US
[Indiatimes]NEW DELHI: India will re-energize its relations with the US, after a couple of years of slump in bilateral ties. This is the stated objective of the Narendra Modi government as articulated by President Pranab Mukherjee in his inaugural address to the 16th Lok Sabha.

"India and the United States have made significant progress in developing strategic partnership over the years. My government will bring a renewed vigor to our engagement and intensify it in all areas, including trade, investment, science and technology, energy and education," the Mukherjee said.

The US came in for special mention in the President's address, which is significant given the visa baggage that has hung in the air. But Modi has made it clear he would not hold bilateral relations hostage to a personal issue. For his part, US President Barack Obama too went out of his way to put the visa issue behind them by inviting Modi over in September. The dates and agenda for the bilateral summit are being negotiated now.
Enlightened self-interest on both sides.
India is one of the dominoes lined up for China to knock-over one by one.

China, Japan and Russia were clubbed together in one paragraph while Pakistan evaded mention completely, except for a pointed reference to "terrorism against neighbors". The South Asian neighborhood will be an area of focus for this government. Modi will make his first trip to Bhutan in mid-June, and Japan in the beginning of July.
Japan is a must.

Meanwhile, assistant secretary of state Nisha Desai Biswal, the first senior US official to visit India after the new government took office, told reporters, "The United States is very committed to the US-India relationship. And this is an opportunity for us to hear the priorities and the opportunities that the new government is seeking in terms of their desire for this relationship. United States is very excited about the opportunity ahead and the road ahead because we see the resounding mandate with which this government has come in, with which Prime Minister Modi has come in, and the hopes and the aspirations of the Indian people."

No path to citizen for criminals who break the laws to get here. Advocating that should treason and result in a prompt trial followed by an even more prompt firing squad.

#14  Why not OK, NM or LA (not the city)?

I'll say for NM, 1 - its a poor state, they don't stay around anyway (also applies to LA and guess where they would go - big blue cities); 2 - NM is a swing state, this year's governors race is important to them to try to take back. Dumping in NM would kill that opportunity; 3 - they are prepping Ft Sill, OK to take some of the dump.
