BTW, for those outside of NM, the 'D' is more affiliated in style and operation with the PRI south of the border than say the 'D' in IL, NJ, NY, MA.

Wisconsin sheriff: 'Al Sharpton ought to go back into the gutter he came from'

#1  Sheriff Dave ~ Tax time is rolling around. If you've not already found one, I'd recommend finding the best CPA in Milwaukee.

#2  But ... Sherriff Dave seems to be a person of color. So... he can't be a racist, right? Just an Uncle Tom, or maybe an Oreo.

#5  Every time I seen Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, he says something that is endearing. There must be pockets of conservatism in Wisconsin. Milwaukee County must be very different than the Dane County (Madison, Wisconsin). Wisconsin, has historically been progressive in its politics. Are the political winds changing up there?
Posted by: JohnQC || 01/23/2015 14:50 Comments || Top||

#6  Sheriff Clark is one impressive individual.

Sharp-ton is an oily, insipid Warthog.

#7  why would you disparage Warthogs by comparison to Sharpton?
Posted by: Frank G || 01/23/2015 21:41 Comments || Top||

#8  Dane county has a few wildly outnumbered pockets of non-Marxists, especially in the outlying cities. I don't know Milwaukee well enough to say.
Posted by: James || 01/23/2015 22:01 Comments || Top||

#9  Milwaukee County and Dane County are the main 'liberal' counties in Wisconsin. A couple more in the Fox Valley (Fond Du Lac, Appleton and Green Bay areas) and the area around La Crosse 'trend-left'. Milwaukee actually had a true Socialist government for a good portion of the first half of the 20th century

Unfortunately, these are also the main population centers for the state.

As for Sheriff Clarke (he DOES appear with a 'D' by his name), not all democrats in Milwaukee county (or other more urban and 'D' areas in the state) are 'entitlement-driven'. Many work in the heavy machinery, paper mills, manufacturing and industrial markets. Hard working, decent folks and not really keen on handing their communities over to the criminals and loons.

As for Madison, Wisconsin itself, Lee Dreyfus, a former Governor of Wisconsin, stated “Madison is 30 square miles surrounded by reality.” It's since grown a lot (to 78~ square miles) and not much has changed.

The Border is Secure, The 'Mind' of Sheila Jackson Lee
[FoxNews] Texas Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee said President Obama has already successfully secured the U.S. border, and objected to the tone of a House border security bill she said militarizes the country.
Nobody is getting in that she disapproves of.
"œThe president has spent $108 billion on border security, and we have been successful," Jackson Lee said in a Homeland Security committee markup Wednesday. "Oh we've had our moments, but we have been successful."

Jackson Lee brushed off the recent flood of unaccompanied children on the southern border. "I know we had a disagreement," she said, referring to Republican critics who blamed Obama’s policies for the flood of immigrants.
See?
After tens of thousands of Central American children and teens crossed the border illegally last summer, House Speaker John Boehner wrote a letter to Obama saying his policies were directly responsible for the surge, because they led the immigrants to believe they could stay.

And we've spent over 7 trillion on Great Society programs to end poverty in America and we have been successful*. Time to end the programs.

* when you have over 10 million illegals streaming into the country, you have solved the poverty problem. You may have created a dependency problem or created a patron-client problem, but poverty is not the issue.

Home Front: Culture Wars
No time for Netanyahu, plenty of time for GloZell
[The Telegraph] Barack Obama was asked about his 'first wife' by a woman who took a bath in cereal.

The White House did something a little different today. Rather inviting traditional journalists to grill President Barack Obama, they brought in three so-called YouTube creators - people who have built up a fan base of millions with their social media channels - to put questions to the leader of the free world.
Something different? Media distractions are nothing new or different for this regime.

DC considers bill to let illegals vote in local elections
In keeping with similar initiatives in 2013 and 2004, the bill would give suffrage to non-citizen D.C. residents who "œhave permanent residency status."
No.
Grosso cited U.S. Census Bureau figures from 2012 approximating that over 90 percent of the 53,975 foreign-born, non-naturalized U.S. citizens in the District are 18 years of age or older, to weight down with seriousness his pronouncement that "these are taxpayers who should have the opportunity to have their voices heard in local elections."

The original intent was to protect the nascent federal government form undue influence of the larger state governments. That's hardly an issue these days.

#14  #8 They just keep cheapening citizenship.

Nah, I don't wonder why. The Democrats keep pushing the boundaries of voting. First, Slick Willie came up with the motor-voter law which allowed people with a driver's license to vote. The Donks have been screaming about the voter identification/verification laws the Pubs are putting in place state-by-state. Now, the Donks have pulled all the stops out and they want illegals to vote in our elections. It would guarantee a large block of new voters who would vote Democrat for decades to come. It would also be a quick path to national suicide.

Unfortunately our Anti-Unitarian Unitarian Socialist GOP-DEM Establishment in Washington shows no inkling to change anything short of meaningless, PCorrect-Deniable Media-Public rhetoric.

The above means that the US Govt under NAU will likely proceed wid inviting Milyuhns-n-Tilyuhns of foreign workers into CONUS-NORAM, + whom will be able to vote + collect Any-n-All forms of Federal-State public assistance, ... ...@etc.

AS I'VE SAID BEFORE, IN THE 21ST CENTURY = ERA OF OWG GLOBALISM, THE "AMERICAN/AMERIKAN DREAM" IS NOW THE "NORTH AMERICAN/AMERIKAN DREAM" WID MEXICO, CANADA, + POSSIBLY GREENLAND [Iceland? new = UK?] NOW SHARING RESPONSIBILITY FOR US + NORAM SECURITY-N-PROSPERITY, ETC. Lest we fergit, OBAMA'S "BIRTH CERTICATE CONTROVERSY" = all thing equal, twas ultimately about America in future being led by a NON/ANTI-AMERICAN PERSONAGE.

New York Pol charged with corruption case - name that party.
[Rooters] - New York Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver was charged on Thursday with five criminal counts stemming from a lengthy corruption investigation, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said.

The political powerbroker, in the Assembly since 1977 and its most influential Democrat as speaker since 1994, was accused of fraud, conspiracy to commit fraud and other charges in using his "power and influence" to obtain "millions" in bribes and kickbacks, the criminal complaint said.
The law firms of Weitz & Luxenberg and Goldberg & Iryami joined NY State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman in saying 'there's nothing to be found here.'

In 2005, ten fokken long years ago, Irish commentator Bill O'Reilly of the Fox News Channel lambasted Silver for blocking legislation that would mandate restrictions on democrats child molesters after their sentences are finished (including possibly forcing them to become permanent residents in psychiatric wards).

Nor would I ever be so silly as to demonstrate ignorance of the high fashion sluttiness that typifies Saudi women, at least, under their black bags. Mr. Wife was shocked, the first time he left Saudi airspace and the bags came off -- not the attire of women who want men to admire their minds and purity of spirit. No sense coming down on the bad side of a new Congress and a new administration on day one.
