Another Libyan beheaded by IS in Derna
[Libya Herald] The Islamic State

They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
continues its reign of terror in Derna with another public beheading, this time of a postal worker named as Abdulnabi Al-Shargawi. According to IS propaganda, he was from Beida and worked for the post office but had volunteered for the Libyan National Army and been captured in Ras Hillal.

In a particularly barbaric move, young children were taken to see the execution at Derna's Ateeq Mosque. IS has posted photos of young boys of around six and seven years of age being shown the severed head and bloody body of the victim immediately after the killing.

Ajdabiya civilian murdered
[Libya Herald] A local man was killed last night in Ajdabiya in what appears to have been a targetted drive-by liquidation. Mohammed Abdelhamid Emrajeh died instantly when gunman shot him several times from a passing car. The incident occurred near his home.

The victim was not involved in politics or security. He was, however, the son of Abdulhamid Emrajeh who headed internal security during the Qadaffy regime. It is thought that this may be the reason for his murder.

Female suicide bomber in Nigeria's Maiduguri kills two near checkpoint
[Al Ahram] Ajacket wallah'> exploding trollop female suicide bomber has killed two people and injured three others at a checkpoint in the northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri, military sources said on Thursday.

The kaboom, at around 1615 GMT, struck near army barracks and follows a spate of bombings in the city by Lion of Islam Islamist group Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
that has killed around 80 people in the last few days.

The female bomber, who wore a veil and concealed explosives on her body, detonated the bomb beside a checkpoint on the outskirts of the city, said military sources.

"Two people died and three were maimed," Borno Police Commissioner Aderemi Opadokun told Rooters.

Boko Haram has waged a six-year insurgency in the northeast of Africa's most populous country in a bid to carve out an Islamic caliphate.

At the start of the year it controlled a swathe of territory around the size of Belgium, but the military says the group has been pushed back to the Sambisa forest in recent weeks - which Boko Haram denied in a video aired on social media on Tuesday.

Texas-born al Qaeda suspect pleads not guilty in New York
[Al Ahram] A US citizen accused of traveling to Pakistain to train with al Qaeda pleaded not guilty
"Wudn't me."
to terrorism charges in federal court in New York on Thursday.

Texas-born Muhanad Mahmoud Al Farekh spoke only briefly during a short court appearance in Brooklyn, confirming to a US judge that he understood the indictment against him and his rights.

Prosecutors said Farekh was at least partially radicalized by the online sermons of Anwar al-Awlaki
... Born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, zapped in Yemen, al-Awlaki was a dual citizen of the U.S. and Yemen. He was an Islamic holy man who was a trainer for al-Qaeda and its franchises. His sermons were attended by three of the 9/11 hijackers, by Fort Hood murderer Nidal Malik Hussein, and Undieboomer Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. He was the first U.S. citizen ever placed on a CIA target list...
, the US-born bully boy preacher associated with al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula
...the latest incarnation of various Qaeda and Qaeda-allied groups, including the now-defunct Aden-Abyan Islamic Army that boomed the USS Cole in 2000...
who was killed in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
in a 2011 US drone strike.

That was the first instance in which the United States targeted and killed an American citizen with a strike, prompting criticism from civil liberties advocates that the act was unlawful.

Farekh studied at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada, according to prosecutors. Around 2007, he and two other students, Ferid Imam and an unnamed person, decided to travel to remote tribal areas along Pakistain's border with Afghanistan and train with al Qaeda, US authorities said.

Imam also provided training at an al Qaeda camp in Pakistain in September 2008 to Najibullah Zazi and two other men later convicted of plotting a suicide kaboom attack in the New York City subway system, according to the US Justice Department.

Imam's whereabouts are unknown.

The criminal complaint against Farekh said that two cooperating witnesses in his case were also involved in the subway plot.

Farekh faces charges of providing material support to gunnies as well as attempting and conspiring to provide such support. He faces up to life in prison if convicted.

Curfew in Indian Kashmir city after police kill Sikh protestor
[Al Ahram] Authorities imposed an indefinite curfew and the army staged a "flag march" in parts of a city in Indian Kashmire Thursday after police rubbed out a Sikh protestor, officials said.

A protestor was killed and another maimed in Jammu city, 300 kilometres (190 miles) south of Srinagar, when police fired at an angry crowd protesting at the removal of posters of a Sikh separatist leader, Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, by police.

The posters were put up by Sikhs to mark the 31st anniversary of Operation Blue Star, the Indian military's assault on the Golden Temple in Amritsar which was aimed at flushing out holy warriors holed up inside demanding an independent Sikh homeland.

Bhindranwale, a Sikh rebel commander who led an armed movement to create Khalistan in the north Indian state of Punjab, was killed in the operation along with scores of his myrmidon associates inside Sikhism's holiest shrine on June 6, 1984.

On Thursday hundreds of rock-throwing Sikh protestors clashed with police who first wielded batons and later had gun sex to disperse them.

As the festivities intensified, with protestors blocking the main highway in Jammu trying to put up the posters again, police fired into the crowd killing one, a police officer said on condition of anonymity as he was not authorised to speak to the media.

Authorities later sought the army's help to prevent the festivities from spreading to other areas.

Troops carried out a "flag march" after "the district administration had requisitioned the army to instil confidence in the people," army front man Manish Mehta said in a statement.

Rebels kill 20 soldiers in northeast India attack
[ARABNEWS] Heavily armed rebels in India's restive northeast killed at least 20 troops on Thursday, police said, in one of the area's worst such attacks in years.

Another 12 soldiers were seriously maimed in the ambush on a military convoy in Manipur state, which has been plagued by Death Eater violence for decades.

"Preliminary reports suggest that murderous Moslems used rocket-propelled grenades on a convoy, killing 20 army soldiers on the spot," Manipur's home secretary J S Babu told AFP by telephone.

Police said the convoy was in a remote area of Chandel district, about 120 kilometers (75 miles) southwest of Manipur's state capital Imphal, when the attackers struck.

Police said details remained scant because of poor communications in the remote area, which is deep inside a forest.

The maimed have been taken to a military hospital in Manipur.

No myrmidon groups have so far grabbed credit for the ambush, which police and the military said was one of the biggest attacks on security forces in the state in recent years.

"Some of the vehicles in the convoy were blown up beyond recognition," said a senior army official on condition of anonymity.

"You can well imagine the intensity of the attack."

The remote state of Manipur, which borders Myanmar, is home to dozens of tribal groups and small guerrilla armies fighting New Delhi's rule. Their demands range from secession to greater autonomy.

Many in the northeast feel the region has been largely neglected by India's politicians, accusing them of focusing on the development of the country's wealthier states.

"We cannot say who is behind the attack," said S. Manglemjao Singh, inspector general of police for the state.

"We are collecting details about the attack, but preliminary reports suggest a large group of murderous Moslems who were heavily armed triggered an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) blast and later opened fire with assault rifles."

IS '€˜moron' / online braggart brings an air strike on himself
[WAPO] According to a U.S. Air Force commander, an Islamic State fighter bragging on social media recently brought about the destruction of an Islamic State facility.

In a speech sponsored by the Air Force Association on June 1 in Arlington, Gen. Herbert J. "Hawk" Carlisle, commander of Air Combat Command, said airmen in Florida were able to call in an air strike after finding an Islamic State "moron" talking about the jihadist group's fighting abilities online.

"The [airmen are] combing through social media and they see some moron standing at this command," Carlisle said, as the Air Force Times reported. "And in some social media, open forum, bragging about command and control capabilities ... And these guys go, 'Ah, we got an in.'"

Carlisle did not specify the date, time or location of the building's destruction, and did not name the social media network the airmen used to find the building.
Might have been better left unsaid.

Kirkuk police: ISIS police chief killed in Hawija
[RUDAW.NET] US-led Arclight airstrikes have killed the ISIS police chief of Hawija in Kirkuk province, a Kirkuk area police official told Rudaw on Wednesday.

"Due to the Arclight airstrike, the ISIS police chief Jasim Shakir was killed inside Hawija," said Sarhad Qadir, Kirkuk's provincial police chief.

"The warplanes also bombarded two other sub-districts around Hawija and many other ISIS murderous Moslems who were with the police chief were killed by the bombardment," Qadir continued.

In early April, the Peshmerga warned the Iraqi government they would only move further against ISIS under orders from higher authorities, and that any offensive on Hawija would need to be led by the Iraqi army and Shiite militias, commonly referred to in Arabic as Hashd al-Shaabi, a Peshmerga official told Rudaw.

Hawija city is the capital of the Hawija district in Kirkuk province, 30 miles south of Kirkuk.

Central gov't claims to destroy ISIS bomb boats
[RUDAW.NET] Iraqi security forces have destroyed several ISIS boats rigged with explosives in the Sarsar River in the predominantly Sunni city of Samara in Salahadin province, killing a number of the group's turbans in the boats, the Iraqi Ministry of Defense claimed Wednesday in a statement.

"A special force of the Samara Operations Command managed to detonate several ISIS boats rigged with explosives to target Iraqi forces in nearby areas on the east bank of the Tigris River, killing all the turbans inside the boats," said the statement.

"The 8th Division of the Iraqi army and a force of Hashd al-Shaabi have launched a series of military campaigns against ISIS holy warriors in areas around Samara, including Husseinia and the Busr fields, killing several ISIS holy warriors and destroying a military vehicle," the statement further read. Hashd al-Shaabi is the Arabic term for Shiite militias, also called Popular Mobilization Units (PMUs).

It added Iraqi forces also destroyed an ISIS missile base at Busr in Samara and defused at least 20 improvised bombs (IEDs).

Hamas terrorist Tango Uniform following tunnel collapse
[Jewish Press] A shaft discovered in a private home to a terror tunnel that leads in Gaza to ... who knows where?

Blame the Israelis for not letting enough concrete into Gaza, as that must be why Hamas are forced to build substandard terror tunnels. One Hamas terrorist was killed and two more injured when the tunnel they were in collapsed on Friday in Shejaiya, Gaza.

Hamas has an entire network of terror tunnels crisscrossing Gaza, and presumably also into Israel. They've been rebuilding them since the last Gaza ended.

Israeli planes strike Gaza after rocket attacks
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Israeli warplanes struck multiple Death Eater targets in the Gazoo Strip early Thursday in response to earlier Paleostinian rocket fire, but nobody was injured according to Paleostinian security sources.

They said that the raids hit three training bases of the Izzadine al-Qassam brigades, the military wing of Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,, in Gazoo City and a fourth in the southern city of Khan Younis.

An Israeli military statement spoke only of three hits in total and did not give their location or identify the targets.

"Yesterday, June 3, 2015, two rockets were launched at southern Israel from the Gazoo Strip," it said adding that they fell on open ground near the southern city of Ashkelon and the town of Netivot. "No injuries were reported."

"In response to this attack, the Israel Defense Forces struck three terror infrastructures in the Gazoo Strip," it said.

On Wednesday night police reported that three rockets were fired but that patrols were searching to find where they had fallen.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but Israel has a general policy of holding Hamas responsible for every rocket attack from the territory under its control, no matter which group actually launched it.

Israeli public radio said the latest volley could be related to internal Gazoo infighting between the strip's Hamas rulers and its bully boy opponents.

Hamas security forces on Tuesday rubbed out a Salafist leader in Gazoo City Tuesday during a confrontation.

The incident came as Hamas stepped up measures against bandidos snuffies belonging to Islamic bully boy groups, some of whom are known as Salafists
...Salafists are ostentatiously devout Moslems who figure the ostentation of their piety gives them the right to tell others how to do it and to kill those who don't listen to them...

Hamas wages crackdown against pro-Isil jihadists in Gaza
[TELEGRAPH.CO.UK] Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,, the Islamist movement that runs Gazoo, has launched a drive to crush local salafist
...also known as Wahhabis, salafists are against innovation in religion or in anything else. They eat the same things every meal of every day and all their children are named Abdullah or Mohammed. Not all salafists are takfiris, but all takfiris are salafists. They are fond of praying five times a day and killing infidels...
groups that it fears could weaken their hold on the territory by provoking a new conflict with Israel.

The campaign has been steadily intensifying even before fresh Israeli air strikes against Hamas bases on Wednesday in retaliation for rocket fire that was blamed on a small jihadist group professing sympathy for the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. of Iraq and the Levant [Isil].

A wave of arrests resulting in the detention of hundreds of jihadists over the past month reached a new peak this week when Hamas forces rubbed out Yussef al-Hanar, 27, a local salafist leader, in the northern Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood. Officials said was shot during an attempt to take him into custody.

Tuesday evening's rocket fire, which landed in open areas near the Israeli port city of Ashdod and nearby Netivot, was claimed by a group calling itself the Omar Brigades. The group said in a statement that it was avenging al-Hanar's death.

Analysts in Gazoo say the salafists - who embrace a strictly ascetic form of Islam - accuse Hamas of abandoning the path of resistance against Israel by agreeing to last summer's ceasefire that ended 50 days of bloody warfare in the coastal strip.

In recent weeks, a group allying itself with the Supporters of the Islamic State in Jerusalem - a jihadist organization based in Egypt's Sinai region - is thought to have been responsible for a series of night-time kabooms, none of which have caused any casualties.

Kurdish forces are trying to drive the snuffies out of Tel Abyad, in Syria's Hassakah province, close to the Turkish border town of Akcakale.

The official said 3,337 Arab Syrians had crossed into Turkey in less than two days to avoid the festivities and bombing raids carried out against IS by a US-led coalition.

The Syrians were being given biometric registration and health checks at Akcakale border crossing, the official added. One aid worker said thousands of people seeking refuge in the last week had been turned back by Turkish border guards, many then heading for different destinations inside Syria.

Nusra Front attacks Hezbollah outposts near Arsal
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] The Nusra Front claimed Tuesday that it had killed several Hezbollah snuffies and confiscated their weapons in an attack on two of the party's outposts near Arsal's outskirts.

The jihadi group announced on its Twitter account that its snuffies attacked two Hezbollah positions between the outskirts of the Lebanese villages of Nahleh and Arsal and posted several photos of weapons it had seized in the raid.

It did not specify the number of Hezbollah fighters killed, but said that all stationed at the two outposts were dead.

Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV also reported that Nusra's snuffies attacked two party positions in the area of Harf Mohsen, but said the attack was foiled and several jihadis we killed.

It did not mention any deaths among Hezbollah's fighters.

Hezbollah and the Syrian army launched an offensive in the Qalamoun region on May 4, capturing dozens of Lion of Islam bases and driving Syria-based jihadis north toward the outskirts of the northeastern Lebanese border town of Arsal.

The joint offensive has resulted in the capture of more than 310 square kilometers out of the 780 square kilometers of Lebanese and Syrian lands that the jihadis had controlled last month.

Nusra Front is the most prominent jihadi faction operating in Qalamoun, while ISIS is also present in some areas but in smaller numbers.

Tensions between the two jihadi groups have also risen dramatically recently, prompting the Nusra Front to promise the "eradication" of ISIS from the area.

Together, the two jihadi groups hold a total of 25 Lebanese servicemen hostage in hideouts in Arsal's outskirts that they kidnapped during deadly festivities with the Army in Arsal.

Iraq, Iran militants deployed to defend Assad, Damascus
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Thousands of Iranian and Iraqi fighters have been deployed in Syria in past weeks to bolster the defenses of Damascus and its surroundings, a Syrian security source told AFP Wednesday.

"Around 7,000 Iranian and Iraqi fighters have arrived in Syria over the past few weeks and their first priority is the defense of the capital. The larger contingent is Iraqi," the source said on condition of anonymity.

"The goal is to reach 10,000 men to support the Syrian army and pro-government militias, firstly in Damascus, and then to retake Jisr al-Shughur because it is key to the Mediterranean coast and the Hama region" in central Syria, he added.

Syria's government lost control of Jisr al-Shughur in northwestern Idlib province on April 25, as a coalition of opposition forces including Al-Qaeda affiliate Al-Nusra Front swept through the region.

Iran's official news agency IRNA quoted elite Revolutionary Guards General Qassem Soleimani as saying "in the coming days the world will be surprised by what we are preparing, in cooperation with Syrian military leaders."

The agency cautioned however that it "takes no responsibility for the information."

Iran is a key ally of the Syrian government, and it has provided Damascus with financial and military support throughout the conflict that began in March 2011 with anti-regime protests.

But in recent months, the Syrian government has lost territory in several parts of the country to both an alliance of rebel groups including Nusra Front, and to ISIS.

Faced with those setbacks, the government has appealed to Tehran and ally Russia to step up support, a Syrian political figure close to the regime told AFP.

A diplomatic source in Damascus said Iran had been critical of the regime's failure to achieve the last major offensive operation it undertook - a February bid to cut rebel supply lines to the northern city of Aleppo.

Syrian troops battle to repel Islamic State attack on Hasaka
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Syrian troops and militia battled on Wednesday to repel an Islamic State

Islamic State now appears intent on making up for those losses by storming government-held areas of Hasaka city, where it sees Syrian troops as a weaker adversary than the Kurds, a YPG front man and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

"We do not believe the regime will be able to repel the attack if Daesh is really serious about making progress towards the city," Redur Xelil, the YPG front man, told Rooters. Daesh is an Arabic name for Islamic State used by its opponents.

"Half the city is under our control in the north and northwest and certainly when they reach the borders of our area they will receive a stiff response," he said.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based group that monitors the war, said Islamic State used boom-mobiles to attack government forces 2 km south of the city. State media reported fighting with Islamic State in the area and air strikes on its positions.

"It is a serious attack. An attempt to make up for other losses," Rami Abdulrahman, who runs the Observatory, said.

Steady advances by bandidos bad boys in Syria have increased military pressure on Assad, whose government increasingly sees western areas near the capital and the coast as its priority in the four-year-old conflict.

The United States accused Assad on Tuesday of aiding an Islamic State advance against rival bandidos bad boys north of Aleppo, echoing claims made by rebels that Damascus dismisses.

The northeastern corner of Syria is strategically important because it links areas controlled by Islamic State in Syria and Iraq.

State television also reported the festivities, saying they were fought around a prison under construction. Islamic State fighters tried to break into the unfinished building after setting off five boom-mobiles, it said in a newsflash.

The Observatory, which collects its information from sources on the ground, said around 30 fighters from the Syrian military and allied militia had been killed in five days of battles with Islamic State in Hasaka province.

As he faces setbacks in more far-flung areas, Assad is seeking to shore up control over the western region including Damascus, aided by his allies in the Lebanese group Hezbollah.

Rojava defense force draws thousands of recruits
[RUDAW.NET] A new force calling itself The Self-Defense Force has been formed in the ethnically Kurdish area of Syria known as Rojava, according to the group's leaders. As of now, 4,000 volunteers have already joined the force.

An estimated 25 percent of the volunteers are from the city of Girke Lege, which consists of Kurds, Assyrians and Arabs

"There is no regard for ethnic backgrounds. There are Kurds, Arabs and Assyrians who have joined the force," a source told Rudaw.

Members of the force consist of men and women and they will support the YPG (People's Protection Units)

"It is a comprehensive force. If there were more forces like ours, Shingal would not face such a calamity. Therefore, we formed this force to protect our cities, our children, land and nation," said a source.

The members of the force, who have been trained on weapons for two months, include men and women.

"We, as women, thought we should defend our land and dignity," said a woman who spoke to Rudaw.

"If we did not undertake this responsibility, our situation would not be any better than those who already faced the forces of Evil and suffered atrocities, especially against women."

#1  So when are we going to have one of those days where we actually take the gloves off and take out one of those ISIS convoys with vehicles as far as the eye can see?

17 air strikes? I still say the coalition only has three airplanes.
