(NDS) -- Afghanistan's intelligence agency has locked away
Book 'im, Mahmoud!
a Taliban capo who was trying to escape to Quetta city of Pakistain after participating in heavy festivities in Afghanistan.

A statement released by NDS on Saturday states that Sayed Mohammad-ud-Din alias Sadat was detained together with one of his lover companion during a special raid in western Herat

province.

Mohammad-ud-Din has confessed to NDS during initial investigation that he played key role in attack on Qaisar District of Faryab province.

As a result of the attack, Taliban took control of several areas in Qaisar District but they were pushed back by a military operation led by first vice-President Abdul Rashid Dostum
...ethnic Uzbek warlord who distinguished himself fighting the Soviets and the Taliban. The story that he had a bad guy run over with a tank is an exaggeration. It was an armored personnel carrier...
.

During the operation, Gen. Dostum escaped unharmed from a Taliban ambush in Qaisar District in mid August.

Also, three jacket wallahs were arrested in Qaisar district who had intended to kill the first vice-President.

The suicide bombers had made their way up to the vicinity of Gen. Dostum's residence.

Daesh Flag Lowered in Achin After 50 Fighters Killed
[Tolo News] Nearly 50 members of newly-emerged Daesh [Islamic State] group have been killed in a wide-scale operation in Achin district in eastern Nangarhar
The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country..
, officials said Saturday.

The joint operation launched three days ago in Shidal village in which more than 30 other members of the group were maimed.

According to security officials, the anti-Daesh [Islamic State] offensive will continue until the last hideout of the group -- which has seized large cities in Iraq and Syria -- is eliminated.

In addition, the security forces destroyed a small base of Daesh [Islamic State] and lowered their flag.

"Daesh [Islamic State] flag has been lowered ... and our forces are advancing to other hideouts of Daesh [Islamic State]," ANA commander Mohammad Nasim Sangin said.

Praising the advances made by the forces, Achin's district governor Mohammad Ghalib Mujahid assured the residents to clear their area from Daesh [Islamic State] soon.

"We will soon raise our national flag on all valleys in Achin and that with the cooperation of our security forces," he said.

Meanwhile,
...back at the wine tasting, Vince was about to start on his third quart...
the provincial council members of Nangarhar welcomed the operation and announced their full support to the forces.

"This operation was successful in two terms. First, the enemies have suffered massive casualties and second, the civilians have not been harmed in this operation," provincial council member Zabihullah Zemarai said.

They asked the security officials to extend the operation to other districts of Nangarhar.

Daesh [Islamic State] have had a significant presence in Achin over the past few months.

However scores of senior Daesh [Islamic State] commanders have been eliminated during special raids conducted by the National Directorate of Security
...the Afghan national intel agency...
(NDS) during the past six months.

Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either....
police have registered 73 criminal cases including terrorism, kidnapping and robbery in last two weeks.

Kabul police chief said in a presser on Saturday that 167 suspects have been rounded up from different parts of the city in connection with these crimes.

He said the child was recovered and handed over to his family without fulfilling demand of the kidnappers.

The arrested suspects also include people who were transporting weapons and using illegal transmission sets.

Arabia
19 killed in coalition strikes, clashes in south Yemen
[AlAhram] At least 19 people have been killed in Saudi-led coalition air strikes and festivities between pro-government forces and rebels in Yemen's south, military sources said on Saturday.

The air strikes took place late Friday and targeted two rebel vehicles on a road linking the central province of Ibb province to Daleh province further south, the sources said.

Forces loyal to Gulf-backed President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi recaptured Daleh and four other southern provinces in July.

Loyalist forces also clashed with Iran-backed Houthis and their allies on the outskirts of Daleh's second-largest city Damt on Friday, the sources said.

Eight pro-government fighters and 11 rebels were killed in the festivities and air strikes, they added.

Bangladesh
Four Pakistanis among 'Militants' Arrested in Bangladesh
[AnNahar] Bangladesh police have tossed in the calaboose
You have the right to remain silent...
seven suspected Islamist Lions of Islam including four Pak nationals, they said Saturday, accusing them of planning to commit acts of violence in the Muslim-majority country.

The seven, who were arrested on Friday and later taken to court for interrogation, are suspected of belonging to the banned Islamist group Jamayetul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), police said.

"In primary interrogation, they've admitted that they're activating the operation of the banned JMB. They gathered to commit acts of violence," a police statement said, adding authorities believed the group was conspiring against the government.

The arrests come as tensions run high in Bangladesh following a spate of assassination'>assassination
s and fears of mounting Islamist violence in the conservative country of 160 million.

Dhaka police front man Muntashirul Islam told Agence La Belle France Presse those arrested included four Pak nationals, the first time police have claimed Paks are active in the banned group.

Police said they had seized Pak currency and jihadist books from those arrested, including one which spells out punishment for defaming the Prophet Mohammed.

JMB Lions of Islam have been blamed for attacks in recent weeks including slashing the throat of a Christian pastor and a series of murders of Sufi Muslims, who the Lions of Islam consider as heretics.

Bangladesh is also grappling with a series of murders claimed by the Islamic State

group (IS) in recent weeks, including the fatal stabbing of a policeman on Wednesday.

IS has also said it was responsible for the murders of an Italian aid worker and a Japanese farmer, as well as a blast at the country's main Shiite shrine which left two people dead.

The government has rejected IS's claims, saying it does not have a presence in the country.

A branch of Al-Qaeda has also grabbed credit for the murders of four atheist bloggers and machete attacks on publishers in the past year, calling the victims "atheists and blasphemers".

The government, however, has blamed those attacks on local myrmidons, along with the main opposition party and its Islamist ally, for orchestrating violence to destabilise the country.

The home-grown JMB, whose leaders were executed in 2007 over a series of blasts, have been trying to regroup in recent years.

The group was set up in late 1990s by Bangladeshi jihadists, some of whom had fought in the Afghan war against the Russians.

Europe
Planned Refugee Center Burned down in Sweden
[AnNahar] A planned refugee shelter was burned down in Sweden on Saturday with police saying the fire may have been started deliberately, the latest in a string of suspected arson cases targeting a huge influx of migrants.

"Several buildings were burnt, including one which witnesses say has been destroyed completely," police said in a statement.

"For the moment the cause of the fire is not certain but as there are reasons to suspect it may have been started deliberately, a preliminary arson inquiry has been opened."

The planned shelter, on the outskirts of the town of Floda in southwest Sweden, had yet to welcome its first residents. There were no injuries and there have been no arrests.

The fire follows around a dozen confirmed or suspected cases of arson targeting migrants in Sweden this year.

Total arrivals of asylum-seekers to the Scandinavian country are expected to reach up to 190,000 in 2015, the most per capita of any European nation as the continent struggles with its worst migration crisis since World War II.

On Thursday the Swedish government warned that its capacity to host the refugees has reached saturation point and it cannot guarantee shelter for any new arrivals.

"We are in a tense situation and we are dependent on the opening of new lodgings. It is incredibly hard when they are destroyed by a fire," migration agency spokeswoman Johanna Uhr told the Goteborgs-Posten newspaper.

Ankara police raid Gülen-linked business group TUSKON
[Hurriyet] Ankara police on Nov. 6 searched offices of business groups working under the Turkish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON), known to have close links to the movement of U.S.-based Islamic scholar Fethullah Gulen.

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's office ordered the search targeting TUSKON's member associations, Anadolu Agency reported. The order was issued by the Prosecutor's Office Bureau for Crimes against the Constitutional Order, the Cihan News Agency said.

The raids were launched as part of an investigation into the "Parallel State Structure Terror Organization/Pro-Fetullah Terror Organization" (Fetullahci Terör Örgutu), Anadolu Agency reported. The "Pro-Fetullah Terror Organization" was first cited in a draft indictment penned by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and finalized in April. The indictment stated that it had found "concrete evidence" that sympathizers of Gulen were trying to form a "Cemaat state" parallel to the state of the Republic of The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
Police also this week detained dozens of high-ranking state officials and coppers in several cities, as part of the ongoing investigation into Gulen supporters.

TUSKON was founded in 2005 in Istanbul and, as defined on its institutional webpage, is an "umbrella organization representing seven business federations, 211 business associations and over 55,000 entrepreneurs from all over Turkey."

TUSKON has played a role in diversifying Turkey's exports, mainly to African countries and Latin America, at a time when such a move was vital due to the crisis in the eurozone, the largest destination for Turkish exports.

It has four foreign representative offices in Brussels, Washington, Moscow and Beijing.

group (ISIS) were reportedly killed while trying to infiltrate across Peshmerga stockades in the village of Bashary in western djinn-infested Mosul

, a Kurdish military official told Rudaw.

"An ISIS group of 15 forces of Evil tried to infiltrate across a Peshmerga stockade but was repulsed, said Captain Khalid Hamzo, deputy commander of the Duhok Peshmerga Battalion.

"Before reaching the Peshmerga barrier they were bumped off," he told Rudaw Friday, adding that an ISIS emir, or governor, named Adnan, was among the dead.

"The ISIS position was bombarded several times by Peshmerga and repulsed. Later, the US coalition managed to conduct Arclight airstrikes on the ISIS stronghold and kill them all," Hamzo said.

Mosul fell to ISIS in June last year. The defeat was a humiliation for the Iraqi Army, with many troops known to have abandoned their weapons and uniforms as they fled the Islamist onslaught.

group (ISIS), military sources told Rudaw Saturday.

They said the prisoners escaped the prison near the town of Shargat and managed to reach borders controlled by the Iraqi army.

"ISIS has put up several checkpoints at the main roads and published the names and photos of the prisoners," according to an official source at the Salahadin Operations Command."

He said the prisoners "are currently safe."

The military official said, "The prisoners are believed to be employees of the Iraqi security forces who were detained by ISIS."

The prisoners told officials their captors had planned to behead them.

The Iraqi army, together with Shiite militias and tribal fighters, pushed out ISIS from the major portion of Salahadin province in fighting over the last several months.

On Monday, nearly 70 young men living in territories controlled by ISIS turned themselves over to Peshmerga forces on the Gwer front. Many of them described life under ISIS control as "hell," saying had no access to education and had constantly lived with the fear of starvation or violence.

Kurdish ISIS fighter who threatened Kurds in videos killed in Mosul

fighter who once declared that his Kurdish identity was "unimportant" was killed in djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
province, ISIS social media reports said on Saturday.

The reports gave no details about the death of Abu Humam Kurdi, who often appeared in ISIS propaganda videos, threatening Kurdish leaders and promising to take over all of Iraqi Kurdistan.

"Being a Kurd has no meaning for me," Kurdi declared in one video. In another, he warned against supporting political parties in Kurdistan. He said even if his own brother joined, "I swear to God, I will cut off his head."

Kurdi had also promised ISIS leader Abubakr al-Baghdadi that he would capture all of the Kurdistan region for the radical group.

The ISIS social media reports said Kurdi had fought against the Peshmerga in Kirkuk,
... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time...
Tal Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, and Tal Kocher.

Kurds in modest numbers have been among the recruits joining ISIS from around the world.

The Kurdistan Region used to be fertile recruitment ground for different murderous Moslem Islamic groups, many fighting Kurdish nemesis Baghdad, Syria or other unwanted regimes in the region.

But the number of Kurdish recruits declined after the bully boyz turned their guns against the Kurdistan Region in August 2014, Peshmerga and religious officials have said.

#3  The Kurds are missing a chance to deliver a message.

Back in the day, the Kurds would send a spy's head back to his leader.

IDF arrests Palestinian who shot soldier near Hebron
[IsraelTimes] Heavy army presence in city as troops block access routes, seek out assailants; soldier maimed in Friday attack remains at death's door
This was the only excitement reported on Saturday.
Israeli security forces tossed in the calaboose
Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out!
Friday overnight a 16-year-old Paleostinian from the Hebron area, who admitted to shooting and seriously wounding an IDF soldier earlier that day, officials said Saturday.

The teen, from the village of Bani Naim, also handed over the rifle he had used to security forces, according to a statement from the Shin Bet security service. Investigators were continuing to question him.

The soldier, who was shot at the Beit Anun junction north of Hebron on Friday evening, was still being treated at death's door Saturday at Jerusalem's Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

He was the fourth person attacked by Paleostinian assailants in the West Bank on Friday. Earlier a shooting attack near the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron maimed two Jewish youths, one of them seriously. On Friday afternoon, a man in his 40s was seriously maimed when he was stabbed in a West Bank industrial park north of Jerusalem. The terrorist expeditiously departed at a goodly pace; he later handed himself in to the Paleostinian Authority. Minutes earlier, a Paleostinian woman in her 70s tried to drive her car into a group of IDF soldiers near Hebron, but was shot and killed by troops at the scene. None of the soldiers were maimed in the attack.

In response to the attacks in the Hebron area, many troops moved into Hebron overnight Friday. Forces on Saturday blocked exits from the southern West Bank city as they launched a manhunt for assailants.

On Saturday, army front man Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner told AFP there was "ongoing activity to locate the perpetrators of yesterday's attacks."

Israeli forces were searching Paleostinian homes in and around Hebron as well as setting up new checkpoints, an AFP news hound said. The army also blocked off the northern entrance of Hebron with mounds of dirt. The eastern entrance has been sealed off for days.

Clashes were reported between Paleostinian protesters and security forces. Paleostinian medics said two Paleostinians were maimed by live fire.
Hebron has 200,000 Paleostinian residents with approximately 500 Israeli settlers living in the center, protected by an army-patrolled buffer zone. The situation is a constant source of tension.

Israeli special forces rescue last Jews in Aleppo, Syria
[WND] It was recently revealed that Israeli special forces carried out a daring operation to rescue the last Jewish family in the Syrian city of Aleppo.

The Jewish Chronicle reports that preparation for the mission began months in advance. First an Israeli-American businessman named Moti Kahana sent a message to the family, whose name has not been released, that he wanted to get them out of the war-torn country. The family was aware of how dangerous Syria was, but they were too afraid to even take the chance on escaping.

Kahana, who has a number of connections with rebel forces, soon heard reports that ISIS was closing in on the family and decided to get them out, whether they liked it or not.

Without revealing precisely how or with whom he coordinated his plans, Kahana set the wheels in motion for the IDF to make another tally in its history of saving stranded Jews, a list that already includes the legendary stories of Yemen and Ethiopia.

Once the time came, three soldiers knocked on the family's front door. The 88-year-old matriarch answered, fearing that Assad's soldiers had come to take them all away. Instead, the soldiers ordered the seven people present that they could each take one bag and that they must get into a waiting minibus.

After the minibus began moving, the soldiers handed out Syrian passports and said that they would soon be free.

The vehicle was stopped at an ISIS checkpoint, but the family was able to convince the guard that they were refugees trying to escape from Assad. The guard was so impressed by their claims that he even called other checkpoints, instructing them to let the minibus through.

It took them 36 hours to cross the hundred kilometers to the Turkish border. Once out of Syria, they drove to a rented home in Istanbul, where Kahana was waiting.

The man was handed to the related authorities for interrogations.

Coalition jets conducted six air strikes around Sinjar in northwestern Iraq, destroying Islamic State group fighting positions, machine guns, weapons caches and mortar positions, it said in a statement.

They hit an Islamic State group weapons cache, vehicle-borne explosives, heavy machine guns and fighting positions with four air strikes near Ramadi, it said.

ISIS frees 37 kidnapped Syrian Christians: NGO

group released 37 Syrian Christians Saturday, most of them women, who were among more than 200 people kidnapped in February, an NGO said.

The group of Assyrian Christians consisted of 27 women and 10 men, most of them elderly, the Assyrian Monitor for Human Rights. They arrived on Saturday morning in the town of Tal Tamr in the Khabur region of Hasakeh province in northeastern Syria, the group said.

The releases were confirmed by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor, which said most of those freed were from other towns in Khabur.

The former hostages were among a group of 220 Assyrians captured by IS when they overran parts of the region in February. Since then, a trickle of prisoners has been released, with between 140 and 150 believed to be still held by IS.

The Assyrian Monitor said the releases were the result of negotiations carried out by the church, but other reports suggest IS has been paid to free the hostages.

Assyrians numbered about 30,000 among Syria's 1.2 million Christians before the country's conflict began. They lived mostly in 35 villages in Hasakeh. In February, IS overran many of the villages, but Kurdish forces later expelled them.

IS has captured hundreds of hostages, including Christians from different denominations, in territory it controls in Syria and Iraq.

Elsewhere, the Britannia-based Observatory said at least 10 civilians, among them a child and a woman, were killed in air strikes on rebel-held Douma, outside Damascus.

The group said the strikes were believed to have been carried out by Russian warplanes, but could not confirm.

The Observatory's director Rami Abdel Rahman said the toll was expected to rise because of the number of people seriously maimed.

Douma lies in the Eastern Ghouta region outside Damascus and is a frequent target of government air strikes.

The Observatory also said Saturday that the toll in Thursday air strikes on the town on Albu Kamal on the Syrian border with Iraq had risen to 49 people, at least 31 of them civilians. It had previously said at least 22 people were killed in the strikes, but it was not able to confirm who was behind the attacks.

Russia, Syria's government and a US-led coalition are all carrying out bombing in Syria, sometimes operating in the same areas.

The Observatory said at least four of those killed in the attacks on the IS-held town were children.
