Former Shadow President Brennan Urges ‘Remarkable' FBI Dir. Wray to ‘Stay Strong' Amid Trump's ‘Abuse of Authority'
[Breitbart] Appearing Thursday on MSNBC, former CIA Director John Brennan praised FBI Director Christopher Wray as a "remarkable" public servant and urged him to "stay strong" in the wake of revelations that he was among various Obama-era officials who may have received "unmasked" intelligence on former Trump National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

Michigan's Sociopath Lady Governor: Anti-Lockdown Rallies Are Just Trump Rallies In Disguise… Yeah, no.
[The Hill via WeaselZippers] Whitmer: "When the big float rolls in that is about Donald Trump, when people are showing up with guns, when people are showing up with things like Confederate flags, it tells you that this really isn’t about the lockdown or about a perception of a stay-home order."

Vid: White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany thanks CBS Steven Portnoy
On Friday CBS reporter Stevie Portnoy tried to corner Kayleigh McEnany on the Obamagate crimes.

The reporter asked not because he was curious but because he wanted to stump McEnany.

Kayleigh gladly listed off several crimes by Obama officials.

Kayleigh McEnany: "For three years you all talked about collusion and there was none. It was a huge injustice, not just to this administration but to the American people who deserve truth, not the alleging of absolutely false allegations against the president."
Her rapid-fire, fact-driven delivery... whilst managing to hold her effervescent smile. Reporter won't ask that question again.

#1  Stump the chump? Yes, have at it wise guy, and get your arse handed to you in public.

Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, McEnany is the daughter of commercial roofing company owner Michael McEnany and Leanne McEnany.[3] McEnany was educated at the Academy of the Holy Names,[4] a Catholic preparatory school in Tampa. After leaving school, she majored in international politics at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C.[5], during which she studied abroad at St Edmund Hall, Oxford.[6][7] While at Oxford, she was taught politics by future British Shadow Home Secretary, Nick Thomas-Symonds.[8][6] After graduating from Georgetown, McEnany spent three years as a producer on the Mike Huckabee Show.[5]

From there, McEnany enrolled at the University of Miami School of Law, before transferring to Harvard Law School.[2] Huckabee said that "one of the reasons [McEnany] went on to law school was because she didn't see she was going to have an on-air opportunity at Fox anytime soon."[2] At the Miami School of Law, McEnany was a recipient of the Bruce J. Winick Award for Excellence, a scholarship awarded to students in the top 1% of their class.[5] She graduated from Harvard in 2016.[2]

Slam! DNI Ric Grenell Announces the FBI Will No Longer be Giving Intelligence-Based Threat Briefings to Candidates
Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell (man of action) on Friday announced major changes to election security briefings.
[DNI.gov] WASHINGTON, D.C. Today, the ODNI announced that the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) will lead all intelligence-based threat briefings to candidates, campaigns, and political organizations under the U.S. Government's notification framework. Bill Evanina, the Director of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center, will serve as the IC's leader to this critical effort.

"US elections are the foundation of our nation's democracy. We are committed to supporting this Administration's whole-of-government effort to secure the 2020 election," said Evanina.
Considering how the fbi/doj did far more interference in the 2016 Presidential and for 3 years after than Russia could ever have hoped to do, Prissy Wray's traitors - FBI were frozen out.
A palpable point. Also, in future it will be much easier to track anyone trying to deal from the bottom of the deck.

#1  Appears someone has extended Grenell some authority. Excellent move by the DNI, but watch for potential SSCI and HPSCI 'work arounds.' Also in need of 'deep dives' are the IC relationship to the media and bilateral intelligence sharing arrangements (beginning with, but not limited to Five Eyes).

No sense making it a Durham investigation from hell, lets just examine the past 5 years or so, shall we ?
Posted by: Besoeker || 05/16/2020 1:26 Comments || Top||

#2  Can it be that POTUS has lost confidence in Christopher A. Wray's ability to reform and clean house in the F.B.I.?

Looking at the last administration, one should also be suspicious of the possibilities for corrupt placeholder DNIs such as were placed in the Obumble administration. "Eternal vigilance" are the watchwords.

Fortunately, Grenell was a good choice to do a hurry-up, first pass clean up of the intelligence community. Congressman John Ratcliffe, who will replace Grenell, will likely continue this clean-up and reform.

Los Angeles to shut off water, power of nonessential businesses that refuse to close amid coronavirus
Getting closer to open conflict
Or abject surrender by the government when all the rest of the country is reopened and flourishing, while California’s businesses quietly pack up and leave.
[Fox News] Los Angeles authorities could shut down water and power to nonessential businesses that refuse to close amid the coronavirus outbreak there, according to local reports.

"We won’t tolerate the selfish behavior of a few who unnecessarily put our community at risk," Mayor Eric Garcetti said in a press release on his website.

He also said his "Safer at Home" emergency shelter-in-place order would be strictly enforced.

Los Angeles authorities could shut down water and power to nonessential businesses that refuse to close amid the coronavirus outbreak there, according to local reports.

"We won’t tolerate the selfish behavior of a few who unnecessarily put our community at risk," Mayor Eric Garcetti said in a press release on his website.

He also said his "Safer at Home" emergency shelter-in-place order would be strictly enforced.

The order requires LA residents to stay at home except for in a number of situations, including to get food, health or medical necessities -- as well as to care for children or adult relatives, friends and people with disabilities, according to the mayor's office.

Nonessential businesses include bars, restaurants, movie theaters, bowling alleys, salons and gyms.

But nonessential businesses that remain open despite the order are "irresponsible and selfish," Garcetti said during his daily press briefing on Tuesday, according to KTLA.

To enforce the shutdowns, the mayor announced a program to send city workers and volunteers, dubbed "business ambassadors," to check on defiant businesses and urge them to close down voluntarily. If they don't, the ambassadors will report the situation to prosecutors and police, according to the mayor's website, which also provided a link for the general public to report noncompliance.

Businesses that ignore warnings from authorities could then have their utilities cut off, the Los Angeles Times reported.

"In the strongest possible terms, I urge that Angelenos adhere to the ‘Safer at Home' order, and nonessential businesses shut their doors," City Attorney Mike Feuer said in a press release from the mayor's office.

Los Angeles County has seen at least 13 deaths and 799 cases of coronavirus, health authorities there said Wednesday. That's out of at least 2,660 cases and 58 deaths reported across California.

#13  An unused building with no electricity for climate control quickly becomes a vermin nest.

Cases of typhus, TB and even the plague have spiked in LA.

Not to worry, though: Pomade Boy and the California tort lawyers will make sure that environmental restrictions do not hinder rat extermination efforts - oh wait... from the above link:

The mix of conditions that have caused alarm is, so far, unique to California, though progressive environmental philosophy may extend its reach. The reason is the state’s growing discomfort with modern chemistry paired with the California trial bar’s love of industrial chemical dollars, in this case, second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides (SGARs).

For the past five years, L.A.’s Department of Recreation and Parks has forgone the use of SGARs
, acting on proposed restrictions from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation. Lawmakers in Sacramento have proposed banning SGARs entirely, making it even more difficult to cull California’s burgeoning disease-borne rodent population.

Bee or Not Bee? ACLU Sues Betsy DeVos on behalf of Kampus Kangaroo Courts
[Yahoo] Education Secretary Betsy DeVos' revised federal guidelines on how sexual assault allegations should be handled on college and K-12 campuses are the target of a federal lawsuit filed Thursday claiming that the changes would "inflict significant harm" on victims and "dramatically undermine" their civil rights.

The suit, filed on behalf of four advocacy groups for people who have been sexually assaulted, including Know Your IX and Girls for Gender Equity, is the first that seeks to block the Education Department's new provisions before they go into effect on Aug. 14.

The rules championed by DeVos effectively bolster the rights of due process for those accused of sexual assault and harassment, allowing for live hearings and cross-examinations. It's what agency officials say was lacking during the Obama administration to protect all students under Title IX, a 1972 law that prohibits gender discrimination, including sexual assault, at schools.

"This new federal effort to weaken Title IX makes it more difficult for victims of sexual harassment or sexual assault to continue their educations and needlessly comes amid a global pandemic," according to the suit, which was filed in U.S. District Court in Maryland by the American Civil Liberties Union and the New York-based law firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP.

The suit names DeVos, the Education Department and Kenneth Marcus, the agency's assistant secretary for civil rights.
