The barricades had dramatically narrowed the streets of Kabul and were said to be the biggest cause behind bumper-to-bumper traffic in the city which had created major problems for the citizens.
The barricades were not only put by the government in front of every government facility, but were also improvised by warlords, MPs, ministers, commanders, and foreign embassies and organizations so that they secure their residence.
The biggest city of Afghanistan-Kabul was also the most congested city in which it took hours in peak hours-eight to four- to drive a distance that would normally take minutes.
Clogging the roads for 20 to 30 minutes for a high-ranking official, MP, minister, or commander to cross was another problem for the folks of Kabul which has not been noticed since the Taliban took power.

Spokesperson of Afghanistan Islamic Emirate AIE Zabiullah Mujahid in gathering on Monday said that they are focused on the economic situation and are working hard to implement the schemes they have prepared.
In a rare move, AIE’s commission for economic and financial affairs has directed the customs not to allow the export of metal until another announcement.
The commission said that foreign countries are paying less amount of money for the metal while internal factories and companies need them in large quantities.

But the Eritrean foreign ministry described the accusations as "unacceptable", saying: "This is not, indeed, the first time for the US Administration to float such baseless smear campaigns against Eritrea."
"In the face of the repetitive and unwarranted accusations, Eritrea cannot remain silent. In the circumstances, Eritrea calls on the US Administration to bring the case to an independent adjudication if it indeed has facts to prove its false allegations."
