[ToloNews] A senior military official of the former government was detained by the Islamic Emirate, his family claimed on Tuesday.
Adam Khan Matin served as a deputy commander of the 2017 Pamir Corps in northern Kunduz province under the previous government. According to his relatives, the Islamic Emirate forces broke into Matin’s home on Friday in PD 12 of Kabul.
According to Matin’s relatives, he was taken to an unknown location.
"They came here and said, 'we have information that you have vehicles and weapons with you.' After they received the (weapons and vehicle), they gave us a letter. They came again and took us to the police district and said that the letter was not stamped" said Omid Matin, the son of the former military officer.
The family expressed frustration over the arrest of Matin and said that it was not in line with the general amnesty announced by the Islamic Emirate.
"Since they announced the general amnesty they should not detain people and they should let the people live a calm life," said Ziba, Matin’s wife.
"It is in against the pledge of general amnesty. Why do they arrest people without any reason?" asked Ghulam Dastagir, a relative of Matin.
The Islamic Emirate said that an investigation is underway.
"Whoever violates the general amnesty, they will be found and punished," said Aqel Ozam.
Matin’s arrest comes amid other allegations that the Islamic Emirate is detaining former military officials.

Special Forces of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in the Gushta district of eastern Nangarhar province destroyed the barbed wire erected by Pakistani forces on Durand Line.
The barbed wire was destroyed and brought to Afghanistan after Pakistani forces reportedly wanted to erect and widen the wire.
Nagarhar province’s provincial head of General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI) Doctor Bashir was leading the operation in the bordering district of Gushta.
A video clip from the scene shows that Doctor Bashir is addressing Pakistani forces and threatening them with harsh repercussions if they do so again.
"Next time if you look bad at Afghanistan, I will come and make this area (only hundreds of meters from Pakistan’s soil) and will make it my frontline to wage war with you. I swear by Allah that waging war with you makes me happier than waging war with Jewish." Says Doctor Bashir.

Unconfirmed reports say that Pakistani forces launched artilleries on Kunar province on Monday night after the incident in the Gushta district of Nangarhar province.
Pakistan has nearly completed its barbed wire on the entire Duran Line that stretches approximately 2,400 KM between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Fighting between elements of Somali pro-government forces killed at least seven people and injured 50 in the semi-autonomous region of Puntland ...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion... on Tuesday, a doctor at a hospital that treated the casualties told Rooters.
It was the first reported shootout between forces loyal to Puntland's president and the US-trained Puntland Security Forces (PSF), which both support Somali central government forces against al Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab ...... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all of which have enough problems without them... bad boys.
"At least seven people including (forces) from both sides and civilians died in the fighting," said Mohammed Ahmed, a doctor at the main hospital in the regional capital Bosaso. Both combatants and civilians were among the injured, Ahmed said.
A Puntland forces commander who declined to be named because he was not authorized to speak to the media confirmed the deaths, saying four were from his side, two were PSF fighters and the other a civilian.
Clashes between the two groups broke out early on Tuesday with each accusing the other of initiating the violence.
Fighting had stopped by late on Tuesday with the streets of Bosaso empty and businesses shuttered.
Tensions between the two have run high since last month when Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni fired PSF commander Mohamoud Osman Diyano.

Deni won elections in January 2019, defeating Asad Osman Diyano, the brother of the PSF commander.
The PSF chief refused to vacate his post and ordered his forces from some frontline positions against al-Shabaab.

Fighting earlier this year between government troops and a formerly allied militia in the neighboring state of Galmudug ...a semiautonomous region in central Somalia, bordering Puntland on the north. The fatalities were the latest disasters in the Mediterranean Sea involving migrants colonists seeking a better life in Europe.Safa Msehli, a spokeswoman for the International Organization for Migration, said at least 102 migrants colonists were reported dead after their wooden boat capsized off Libya on Friday. At least eight others were rescued and returned to shore, she said.
The second shipwreck took place Saturday. The Libyan coasties retrieved at least 62 bodies of migrants colonists, Msehli said. The same day, the coasties intercepted a third wooden boat with at least 210 migrants colonists on board, she said.
The new deaths have brought the tally in the central Mediterranean route to around 1,500 migrants colonists drowned this year, Msehli said.

[An Nahar] The Ottoman Turkish lira was making significant gains Tuesday after the country's president announced new measures to safeguard deposits in the national currency against currency fluctuations.The lira hit an all-time low of 18.36 against the U.S. dollar Monday but rebounded to a high of 11.09 Tuesday morning. It was trading at 13.75 at 0820 GMT Tuesday.
The currency has been on a rollercoaster ride since the central bank began lowering interest rates in September and saw extreme volatility in the past weeks when the lira kept hitting record lows.

The federal court unsealed an indictment on Monday charging Mirsad Hariz Adem Ramic, a dual US-Bosnian citizen, with providing material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS).
The defendant was also charged with receiving military-type training from ISIS, the DOJ said.
Court documents claim Ramic, 31, of Bowling Green, Kentucky and two co-conspirators each left the United States for Istanbul, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... in order to support the Islamic State in 2014.
All three then purchased tickets to fly to the Ottoman Turkish city of Gaziantep near the border with Syria. From there, it is alleged they crossed the border to join the Islamic State.
After joining, Ramic allegedly attended an Islamic State training camp where he received weapons and physical training and fired an AK-47, the DOJ said.

It was also reported one of the co-conspirators had twice emailed Western Kentucky University to say Ramic had traveled to Syria and joined the Islamic State group and now wanted its fighters to 'conquer' the US.

[GREATERKASHMIR] Vehicle-borne bandidosturbans fired at a joint team of police and CRPF at a joint checkpoint in Soura area of Srinagar on Tuesday evening with one of the fleeing bandidosturbans said to have been injured in the security forces' retaliatory fire, news agency KNO reported while quoting sources.
As per the report, a team of police led by SP Hazratbal along with CRPF men were checking vehicles at the checkpoint in Soura at the time of the attack.
"Militants fired at the joint party in which no police or CRPF man was injured. In retaliation, probably one bad boy received injury but escaped.
We are following the vehicle borne bad boys," an official said.

[IsraelTimes] Body of alleged attacker pulled from burning, crashed vehicle after incident near settlement; Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw, praises ’new act of resistance’.
A driver attempted to ram into Israeli soldiers near the northern West Bank settlement of Mevo Dotan on Tuesday night, the military said.
There were no serious injuries to Israelis in the incident in the northern West Bank, the Israel Defense Forces said. The driver, whose car went up in flames following an apparent crash after the ramming attempt, was killed.
Soldiers opened fire and "neutralized" the driver as he accelerated toward their guard post. The vehicle then crashed into a military jeep, causing both to catch on fire, the military said.
Two soldiers were lightly injured but did not need to go to a hospital for treatment, Army Radio reported.
An emergency services spokesperson for West Bank settlements said firefighters found the body of the alleged attacker inside one of the burning vehicles.
Paleostinian media identified the alleged rammer as Abd al-Aziz Hekmat Mousa, a 22-year-old resident of Marka, near Jenin.
Video from the scene showed firefighters hosing down two burning vehicles next to a concrete guard tower.
The Hamas terror group praised the alleged attack.
"A new act of resistance by mighty Jenin, whose revolutionary youth are responding to the crimes of the occupation," said Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasim, referring to the nearby Paleostinian city.
The terror group did not take responsibility for the suspected attack.
