Arab Coalition strikes target satellites station in Yemen’s Sanaa

The Arab Coalition fighting in Yemen destroyed a Houthi telecommunication system used to control drones, Saudi State TV reported on Monday after the coalition asked civilians in Yemeni ministries in the capital Sanaa to immediately evacuate.

For the latest headlines, follow our Google News channel online or via the app.

The bombing targeted a ground station for satellites in the vicinity of the telecommunication ministry in northern Sanaa, residents told Reuters.

Later on Monday, Houthi-run TV Al Masirah reported a coalition attack targeting the telecommunication ministry, destroying the TeleYemen telecoms company building and damaging a neighboring building.

The coalition said the Iran-backed Houthi militia use ministry headquarters to “launch hostile operations,” and as a response a site linked to the latest attack on Saudi Arabia’s Abha international airport would be destroyed.

Twelve people were injured at the airport in a Houthi drone attack on Thursday.

Houthi forces have sent drones and fired missiles into Saudi Arabia during the seven-year conflict, and recently fired missiles at the United Arab Emirates capital. The coalition has retaliated with air strikes inside Yemen.

The coalition intervened in Yemen in 2015 after the Houthis ousted the internationally recognized government.

Guatemala Arrests 10 Politically-Connected Smugglers Tied to Migrant Massacre in Mexico
[Breitbart] Guatemalan authorities working with U.S. agents arrested 10 human smugglers tied to a 2021 police massacre ending with the deaths of 19. Mexican cops killed 16 migrants and three smugglers near the border with Texas. The smugglers are part of an organization with ties to a fugitive former mayor in Guatemala.

The arrests began in late January, a statement by the Guatemalan government revealed. The investigation focused on the Coronado-Miranda smuggling organization and led to the arrests of 10 individuals.

The smugglers are allegedly responsible for moving 16 Guatemalan migrants into Mexico to the border city of Camargo. In January 2021, rogue Tamaulipas police officers killed everyone in the human smuggling convoy, set their bodies on fire, and tried to stage the crime scene as a cartel gun battle.

An ongoing investigation by Mexican authorities led to the arrest of 12 Tamaulipas police officers. As Breitbart Texas reported exclusively, the case also pointed to widespread corruption inside Mexico’s National Immigration Institute and other agencies since the vehicles from the massacre were previously seized by authorities in Nuevo Leon but mysteriously returned to human smugglers.

During recent raids in Guatemala, authorities seized $203,000 USD, five vehicles, 61 gambling machines, and communication devices, a statement from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement revealed.

According to local news outlets in Guatemala, the Coronado-Miranda organization had political protection since one of its leaders is the former Mayor of Comitancillo, Ramiro Coronado Perez, a fugitive.

Kidnapped American Rescued in Mexican Border City
[Breitbart] FBI agents teamed up with U.S. Border Patrol agents and Mexican military officials to rescue a U.S. citizen being held by kidnappers in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. Nuevo Laredo is the headquarters for Los Zetas Cartel, also known as CDN. The rescue effort led to the recovery of 14 others being held against their will by the cartel.

Historically, there is little hope for Americans who are kidnapped by cartels operating in Mexico. Fortunately, for one American citizen, a coordinated rescue attempt by authorities on both sides of the border ended better than could be expected.

FBI agents teamed with the Border Patrol to provide Mexican military officials with enough information to rescue a woman, a U.S. citizen, from her captors in Nuevo Laredo.

On February 8, 2022, the FBI contacted a specialized office within the Border Patrol’s intelligence division known as the Foreign Operations Branch (FOB) to request their assistance in the kidnapping of the American woman. The FOB specializes in the bi-national exchange of information between military, police, and other government officials in Mexico. The liaisons developed are used mostly to coordinate joint operations along the southwest border.

The Border Patrol’s history of close communications and relationships with authorities along the border can prove to be invaluable to other law enforcement entities as well. In some cases, the FOB’s networks have been used to locate and return fugitives, identify deceased migrants, or reunite separated families.

In this case, the FBI needed assistance in coordinating the rescue and return of a Texas woman that had been kidnapped and held against her will in Nuevo Laredo. Using the Border Patrol as an intermediary with Mexican government officials, the Secretaria de la Defensa Nacional (SEDENA) began a rescue operation. SEDENA manages Mexico’s Army and Air Force.

Mexican army soldiers conducted the search and rescue operation using the information provided by the FOB unit and located the kidnapped woman at a house in short order. The Texas woman was rescued without injury.

Soldiers located 14 other individuals at the house who were also being held against their will by the cartel. The identities of the American woman and others located and rescued were not released.

Disappearances and kidnappings are nothing new in the Nuevo Laredo area. On one stretch of highway that leads from Nuevo Laredo to Monterrey, Mexico, at least 71 people have disappeared without a trace. According to a recent news report, at least six American citizens have disappeared in the area. The disappearances are all believed to be related to cartel criminal activity. Relatives of the victims believe the total is closer to 150.

According to Mexico’s Ministry of the Interior, the border state of Tamaulipas which includes Nuevo Laredo, is one of the Mexican states with the highest total of forced disappearances. Authorities believe the Cartel del Noreste (CDN), a faction of the former Los Zetas cartel, is responsible for the disappearances and kidnappings.

Syrian Migrant Stabbed By Vienna Woman He Was Trying To Rape
[Breitbart] Earlier this week in the Austrian capital of Vienna, a Syrian migrant was stabbed and cut several times after allegedly attempting to rape a young woman in the district of Meidling.

The attack, which took place on Tuesday evening but was not made public by Vienna police until Friday, occurred when a 22-year-old Vienna woman was set upon as she attempted to enter her apartment on Schönbrunner Straße just before midnight.

The suspect in the case is said to have grabbed the young woman in her intimate areas and pushed her to the ground but as the suspect tried to force himself on the young woman, she pulled out a knife and began stabbing and slashing at him, Kronen Zeitung reports.

The Syrian then expeditiously departed at a goodly pace with the victim’s purse and was found at a nearby subway station by police where he was then taken to a nearby hospital to treat the injuries he had sustained.

According to Vienna police, the man is a 24-year-old Syrian asylum seeker and was intoxicated at the time of his arrest. He also was also reported to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana on his person.

The local prosecutor’s office is also reportedly seeking to charge the woman involved in the case for bodily injury against the migrant, a move that was condemned by her lawyer.
Sounds like the local prosecutor needs a raping/beating to see how it feels?
The case comes several months after another migrant would-be rapist was fought off by their victim in the municipality of Sant Andreu de la Barca, thirty minutes from Barcelona in Spain.

The case, which took place last year in June, saw a Bangladeshi migrant attempt to rape one of his employees, who is also from Bangladesh, but the victim ended up grabbing a knife and cutting off her attacker’s penis.

#1  How DARE that woman fight back? Doesn't she know that rape is part of his culture? If the man is charged, but not the woman, it is clear evidence of Islamophobia! /sarcasm

A convincing demonstration that while the law may be an ass here, it is also an ass elsewhere. To be clear, in principle I am opposed to people stabbing each other. But everything is a situation. The law should take that into account. I wonder if the blade was illegal...

Iraqi Forces pursue ISIS in Saladin, destroy a terrorist hideout

Shafaq News/ On Monday, a joint force in Saladin Governorate carried out security operations in Makhoul Mountains, northern Iraq, where ISIS members are located.

A source told Shafaq News Agency that forces from Police and Emergency Regiments launched large-scale security operations in the Makhoul Mountains, near Al-Mashak Village, north of Baiji District, to find ISIS hideouts and militants.

"The Iraqi forces destroyed an ISIS hideout and a tunnel."

According to our source, the operations continue to pursue the terrorists.

In 2017, Iraq declared final victory over ISIS after Iraqi forces drove its last remnants from the country, three years after the militant group captured about a third of Iraq's territory.

Yet, ISIS still has sleeper cells in several Iraqi Governorates.

TEL-TAMR, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the American forces conducted a patrol on the contact lines between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Turkish forces with the affiliated armed opposition factions in the countryside of Tel-Tamer, north of Hasakah, northeast Syria.

Person killed in Daraa countryside

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – A person was killed on Monday evening in the western countryside of Daraa, after being shot by unknown assailants.

“The young man, Ahmed Abdurlaouf al-Rashdan, was directly shot and killed,” local sources told North Press.

“The killing was carried out by unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle on the road between the city of Tafas and the town of Muzayrib in the western countryside of Daraa,” the sources added.

“Al-Rashdan came from the town of Naf’a in al- Yarmouk Basin area in the western countryside of Daraa and lived in the town of Muzayrib after the second settlement process, which ended in the fall of last year,” the sources said.

The killing of al-Rashdan is the sixth one in the city of Tafas and its environs in five days where seven people were killed, including Mus’ab al-Bardan, a member of the Central Committee in the Western Region.

Despite the entire control of the Syrian government on Daraa and the reconciliation it made with residents, the governorate witnesses unrest and security chaos where killings have sharply increased.

Fire erupts at Iranian military base, in latest in series of mishaps
Inshallah.
[IsraelTimes] Cause of blaze still unknown; recent attacks on Iranian military and nuclear sites have been blamed on Israel.

A fire erupted at a military base in western Iran, state-linked media reported on Monday, the latest in a series of blazes and other mishaps affecting the country’s infrastructure in recent months.

The fire broke out at a warehouse full of engine oil and flammable materials at a base belonging to Iran’s powerful paramilitary Revolutionary Guard in the western province of Kemranshah, the Iranian website Nournews reported.

The blaze damaged a shed but did not cause any casualties. Investigators were looking into the cause and details, the report added.
No deaths and no casualties? It wasn’t the Israelis.
The day before, unconfirmed reports proliferated online about several explosions heard in northern Kermanshah, a strategic location in Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites....
with various missile and military sites.

Sensitive military and nuclear sites have been the target of attacks in the past years, which Iran has blamed on Israel.

The fire broke out as Iran remains on edge about negotiations over its nuclear program continuing in Vienna this week. The 2015 deal that granted Iran sanctions relief in exchange for curbs on its nuclear program collapsed nearly four years ago when former President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
withdrew the U.S. from the accord and re-imposed crushing sanctions.

After months of slow progress, diplomats have said the nuclear negotiations are reaching a decisive phase.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said Monday if the United States and Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
return to their commitments, a good and "short-term" agreement is possible.

"We are in a hurry to reach a good agreement," the Iranian diplomat said, "but within the framework of rational negotiations and achieving the rights and interests of the Iranian people."

Amirabdollahian said if the other parties threaten and warn Iran that this will be the last round of talks, there will be no negotiations.

Iran says the country’s nuclear program is peaceful.
