Disabled Portland Antifa protester, 60, who was shot dead at BLM riot 'by far-right FURRY, 43,' who was then shot and critically-injured by left-wing activist
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • June Knightly, 60, a disabled Antifa activist in Portland, was shot dead from a close-range gunshot wound on Saturday at a BLM protest

  • Benjamin Jeffrey Smith, 43, reportedly killed her after leaving his home across the street and walking up to her and shooting her

  • Knightly had been 'corking' - protecting protesters from dangerous situations

  • Smith has reportedly made anti-Semitic comments online and has often criticized the Black Lives Matter movement

  • He is also a member of the furry community who don cartoonish animal costumes
Naturally there is more to it, as explained by PJ Media:
Armed Portland Antifa Pick Fight With Violent Biker Gang Then Blame POLICE When Things Get Violent
Since when are biker gangs far right, as opposed to chaotic evil?
Gunfire erupted when violent mostly peaceful Antifa
...the armed wing of the Democratic Party...
forces of Evil appear to have picked a fight with a notorious Portland
...a formerly lovely city in Oregon, governed by an unholy alliance of communists, anarchists, and incompetents. In 2017 the city was named as the fifth most business-friendly in the nation. It took only three years for the city to degenerate to the point where it became a national embarrassment, with antifa and Black Lives Matter bullying taxpayers and occasionally shooting one as an example to the others...
, Ore. area biker gang.

Antifa lost.

At least one person ended up dead and five others were maimed in Portland Saturday night.

Portland Police are still sorting things out, but what we know is that police were called on Saturday night shortly after 8 p.m to a disturbance that quickly escalated into gunfire.

Portland Police said, "this incident started with a confrontation between an armed homeowner and armed protesters."

As Portland Police Public Information Officer Lt. Nathan Sheppard attempted to update the media on the shooting melee in Northeast Portland, two known Antifa forces of Evil took over the news conference, commandeered the microphones, and began blaming the police for failing to do their jobs to protect them.

According to Antifa protesters who took over the presser, identified by the Post Millennial as "Hailley Nolan and Dustin Ferreira," the previous night their comrades had gone to confront members of notorious Portland area biker gang the Gypsy Jokers.
One of the so-called 1% of motorcycle clubs openly steeped in criminality, the Gypsy Jokers were featured in Hunter Thompson’s book about the Hell’s Angels, which drove them out of San Francisco in the 1960s. Since relocating to Oregon in 1967, they’ve added 35 branches elsewhere in the US and in Germany, South Africa, Norway, and Australia, where they inspired targetted anti-bikie laws.
Police say at least one of the Antifa forces of Evil was armed (which they usually are).

Nolan, who appeared to have trouble breathing, said it was the Portland Police Bureau’s fault when a woman died in the shooting melee and five others were maimed.

"They are sending Gypsy Jokers to kidnap us," she breathlessly announced. She pointed to Lt. Sheppard and accused the police of encouraging the violence against Antifa, saying "they are sanctioning this violence against us. We are dying. We are trying to peacefully protest and they are killing us. And I want to know if any of you care. I want to know if Ted Wheeler
...Poindextrous lefty Dem mayor of Portland, Oregon. Allowed a year and a half of Antifa/BLM riots to destroy downtown sections of his city while playing catch and release with the perpetrators and hamstringing his police. He got reelected in the course of all that because the alternative was worse. He has yet to accomplish anything of substance, unless destroying a fairly pleasant city counts...
cares."

She indicated why they took over the news conference by admitting "we are not going to let them capture the narrative and lie," as she pointed to the police.

We can understand why. When you’re Antifa and you pick a fight with a biker gang, Antifa looks pretty dumb.

While the media watched, the Antifa goons chased the lieutenant back to his patrol car and attempted to surround it — their favorite trick.

I grew up in Portland. Ever since I was a kid I’d heard about the Gypsy Jokers. You. Don’t. Mess. With. The. Gypsy Jokers. Capice? The Portland Gypsy Jokers are reputedly among the most violent mostly peaceful, drug dealing, anti-social biker posses this side of the Hells Angels. They’re some bad dudes. Worse than Corn Pop.

Antifa and their BLM wingmen have done nothing but denigrate the Portland Police for the past two to three years, demanding they be defunded because "they are killing us," according to the white woman at the presser.

Let’s just step back for a second to observe the irony that Portland Antifa has been at the forefront of calling for defunding police. Portland’s police department has been decimated by the defunding after city commissioners and the mayor took these Antifa dunces’ word that there should be fewer cops. Forced vaccinations took another swath of cops off the job. Portland’s Antifa was part of Gov. Kate Brown’s mask and vaccine shock troop enforcement as well.

The violent mostly peaceful, childish Antifa came up against a notorious, violent mostly peaceful biker gang, which, unlike police, will fight back.

Antifa 0, Gypsy Jokers 1.

Here’s a look at the hijacked presser. LANGUAGE WARNING:

#2  Either way, murder is murder no matter who pulls the trigger, if it is not in self-defense.

Just finished reading the Heavy.com write-up.
Seems at 1st read, a guy that was fed up with all the protesting in Portland. But I see how quickly his anonymous Reddit handle account was outed.

I also notice how the BLM & etc.. staged a protest of the Portland Police News Conf.. Was it to stop the official press briefing, until they could get ahead of it with their own?

June Knightly, who is claimed to be disable. Other data and photos seem to challenge that statement, but I am still digging.

Summary
One has to wonder, how many more are gonna go over the edge, on both sides, after 3 years of these DNC/SOROS funded and planned RIOT - Protests?

#3  It makes sense if the DM piece is providing cover.

This line here:

Knightly had been 'corking' - protecting protesters from dangerous situations

Those are the human shields who get up in faces looking for their pallywood moment. Oh, disabled too, you can tell by the green helmut. Still, the article must concede she was actually in the home, and leaves out there was quite a crowd gathered outside the home. The cherry on top is calling the Furry community, usually exalted by the usual suspects as a fun kink, as cartoonish.

I'd guess....

Dude got picked up by antifa radar, was called-to in an online forum. Dude defended, talked back in a manner which prompted a house visit. Likely, this was not the first incident. Crowd gathers, and it is at least six so at least a squad. Likely another squad in support.

Dude comes to door. Big back and forth. "Corker" breaches door threshold in some manner. Between her and the actions of the besieging platoon of Antifa dude felt threatened enough to make defense and repel boarders.

This is DM, so you have to remember, "leaving the house" could mean she forced the door saying interesting things, perhaps throwing items inside as she was escorted out with zeal.

Remember, he is at his house, and at 43 may or may not have kids/grandkids/wife/guests at home, at least one squad, armed, brandishing the modern torch and pitchfork known as the megaphone who instigated the physical portion.

#5  Its DM so it is a discredit slur, whether he does Furry for fetish, Furry for fun (most, like going clubbing), had on a costume like for a birthday party, or DM just made it up out of whole cloth.

The point is to other him and make Antifa look the goodly neighborhood patrol.

Not vouching for the guy, have no idea, just know how I would feel if a squad of organized people up to no good, probably armed, found a way to get into my home.

Recall the tactics: in that squad, in addition to the provocateurs, is the "medic" whose job is to video the interaction in order to capture the reaction for future evidence, as well as "media" whose job is to provide video overwatch for future action. They were all ordered to 86 their footage and, as such, destroy all memory devices to deny access.

Migrant Killed During Group Apprehension near Border in Arizona
[Breitbart] An as-yet-unidentified migrant is dead following an incident where a Border Patrol agent attempted to apprehend a group of 20 migrants. The details of the killing have not yet been released.

The Cochise County, Arizona, Sheriff’s Office reported they received information at about 10 a.m. on Saturday morning regarding the death of a migrant near Skeleton Canyon. The incident appears to have involved a Border Patrol agent and a group of migrants, Fox 10 Phoenix reported.

Sheriff Mark Dannels told Breitbart Texas that very little information has been learned at this point. It took two days to process the scene and get the body off the mountain.

“We will begin interviews around the migrant’s death on Wednesday,” Dannels said.

Cochise County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Carol Capas told Fox 10, “Sheriff’s Deputies responded along with Search and Rescue volunteers who discovered that a male subject was deceased on scene. The additional subjects were taken from the area on foot and subsequently transported to a facility for interview purposes and further processing.”

Mexican consulate officials told Tucson.com that five Mexican nationals were arrested in the same incident that led to the death of the migrant. Officials also reportedly notified the Mexican consulate regarding the death.

It is not clear at this time, how many other migrants were involved in the incident.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman John Mennell reportedly told the Associated Press that the migrant was shot by a Border Patrol agent, Tucson.com reported.

Sheriff Dannels emphasized that it is not yet clear if the agent shot the migrant or if he was shot by someone else.

“The smugglers around here are out of control,” the sheriff told Breitbart Texas.

The incident reportedly took place about 30 miles northeast of Douglas, Arizona, in the Peloncillo Mountains.

The Mexican government releases a statement contending, “The government of Mexico rejects any act of unjustified violence against migrants.”

The incident will be investigated by the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Dannels said.

Somalia's Govt troops recapture villages from Al-Shabaab
[Garowe] The Somali National Army [SNA] has recaptured at least six villages from the al-Shabaab

, in a week the al-Qaeda linked group has terrorized several towns across the country, killing dozens of people in the process.

State media reported that they destroyed several bases of the snuffies in Lower Shabelle, including secret houses that they use in extorting money from the people and businesses within the Horn of Africa nation.

Although the military never mentioned the participation of foreign troops in the mission, the elite Danab Special Forces have been conducting such operations with little or no help from the African Union

"Somali National Army destroyed Alshabab bases including so-called court and secret houses where Lions of Islam extort money from people in Bulo-Arundi, Malable, Siigaale, and Busley-Daud in Lower Shabelle regions, on Monday," state media noted.

This comes in the wake of al-Shabaab attacks across Somalia which have leftover 30 people dead within two weeks. On Monday, two soldiers were killed in Bossaso after an IED targeted a convoy of Puntland

President Said Abdullahi Deni.

Later, a huge blast went off in Baidoa city of Southwest according to residents' report. The blast happened in one of the main two bridges connecting the city as local sources indicate and no casualties is reported yet.

Dinsoor suffers food and water shortage as al-Shabaab tightens the blockade on the city. This has resulted in the residents vacating en masse in a bid to escape the devastating situation. Madina Ibrahim, a young mother, succumbs in childbirth while vacating the city.

Al-Shabaab still controls large swathes of rural central and southern Somalia, but joint operations by security forces have significantly dwindled their fortunes. The snuffies are fighting to topple the fragile UN-backed Somalia government.

How Al-Shabaab spends millions of dollars on purchasing weapons
[Garowe] For over a decade, al-Shabaab
...... al-Qaeda's tentacle in East Africa...
Lions of Islam have been wreaking havoc in Somalia and across the borders, with experts noting that the group could be having a strong financial base that helps it to execute operations with impunity and little strain.

Al-Qaeda linked group has been spending millions of dollars in purchasing weapons, a report has revealed, in what could force security apparatus to change strategy in dealing with the murderous Moslems.

Hiraal Institute, a Mogadishu-based Security Think Tank, noted that at least $24 million goes for purchasing weapons annually, thus strengthening the group, which controls large swathes of rural central and southern Somalia.

According to the report, al-Shabaab users various methods to procure weapons, including direct purchases from local black markets, and from arms traders contracted to buy and deliver weapons from abroad, mainly Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
The group, the report notes, majorly focuses on the acquisition of firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other lethal capacity weapons, with nearly a quarter of its budget going to such transactions.

"Out of an annually planned expenditure of approximately USD 100 million, al-Shabaab’s annual planned expenditure on arms procurement is assessed to be USD 24 million, budgeted monthly at USD 2 million," the report said.

Samira Gaid, the executive director of Hiraal Institute, told VOA Somali that during research they had access to al-Shabaab's annual budget documentation. They have also interviewed former al-Shabaab members, clan leaders, business owners, government officials, and other sources who have knowledge of how the group functions.

"Just like the FGS [Federal Government of Somalia], the biggest chunk of its resources is currently being spent on security-related expenses; these, of course, include wages and operational costs," Gaid said. "The group also manufactures certain types of ammunition and explosives, and a certain amount of its budget goes towards that."

Throughout the electioneering period in Somalia, the group has increased attacks, mainly targeting security forces and innocent civilians. This week, the group attacked the port city of Bossaso and Beledweyne, a town in Central Somalia.

On Monday, the group grabbed credit for a roadside explosion, which targeted a convoy escorting Said Abdullahi Deni, the president of the Puntland
...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion...
. Deni survived the attack, but two of his soldiers were killed and four others injured.

On Saturday, al-Shabaab also grabbed credit for a suicide kaboom in Beledweyne in which 15 people were killed and at least 20 others injured.

To finance its operations, al-Shabaab has a sophisticated extortion system that it uses to collect money from the business, agricultural, and livestock sectors, according to a 2021 United Nations

Al-Shabaab as well as Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
Lions of Islam have been collecting extortion money from businesses in Mogadishu for years. Last month, death threats from Islamic State led to the closure of some businesses that refused to pay extortion money.

The stores later reopened after the government deployed security forces. Police also told the businesses they would not have the stores closed except on orders from the government.

The store closures forced Somali Prime Minister Mohammed Hussein Roble to instruct Interior Security Minister Abdullahi Mohammed Nor and the security agencies to come up with a plan to counter the terrorist threats and harassment of traders at Somalia's biggest market.

The U.N. Panel of Experts report on Somalia estimated that al-Shabaab now operates around 100 checkpoints throughout the country. In one of the most profitable checkpoints north of Kismayo

town, which sees an average of 30 trucks pass through in a 24-hour period, the panel reported that al-Shabaab collects an estimated $15,000 to $30,000 per day.

The institute recommended the implementation of several measures aimed at disrupting al-Shabaab's weapons purchases, including the targeting of key murderous Moslem explosive experts, targeting individuals involved in the arms trade, and countering arms imports from the Gulf of Aden.

Somali military kills 60 terrorists
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] Somali special forces eliminated 60 militants from the al-Shabab terrorist group (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) during a special operation in the central part of the country, the press service of the Somali armed forces reports.

It is reported that anti-terrorist operations took place in the regions of Hiran, Dudubli, Kiliga, Fidou. The security forces managed to destroy several militant camps, as well as eliminate one of the leaders of the group. It is specified that special forces also destroyed laboratories for the production of explosives at the bases of terrorists.

As REGNUM reported earlier, on February 20, a terrorist attack occurred in the city of Beledwein in Somalia, as a result of which at least 13 people were killed. Another 20 people were injured of varying severity. It was noted that the explosion was arranged by a terrorist from a banned group near one of the restaurants in the city.

rebels was quoted as saying that the bomb-laden drone was targeting King Abdullah Airport in the Saudi city of Jizan, near the border with Yemen. Saudi defense forces allege the drone was launched from Sanaa’s airport in the Yemeni capital.

Saudi state TV reported three travelers were at death's door. It aired a short video clip of the aftermath that showed glass shattered across the floor inside the airport near a Baskin-Robbins ice cream store. The state-run Ekhbariya news channel later showed travelers moving about within Jizan’s airport and reported that flights were back to operating normally.

The attack against Jizan, a region near Saudi Arabia’s border with Yemen, comes on the eve of a patriotic day in the kingdom as the nation prepares to celebrate its first-ever Founding Day. The date, which is different from the traditional national day, is meant to symbolically commemorate the founding and unification of the Saudi state by its Al Saud rulers. Nationwide celebrations have been planned and the king has deemed it a holiday for both the private and public sectors.

The incident also comes less than two weeks after a similar attempted drone attack and interception resulted in 12 people maimed at an airport in the southern Saudi region of Abha, also near the kingdom’s border with Yemen.

Two terrorists arrested in Kirkuk

Shafaq News/ On Tuesday, the Kirkuk Operations Command announced the arrest of ISIS members in the Governorate.

The Command said that a joint force of intelligence, police, and national security apprehended two ISIS members in Kirkuk transporting weapons and foodstuffs to terrorist gangs.

In 2017, Iraq declared final victory over ISIS after Iraqi forces drove its last remnants from the country, three years after the militant group captured about a third of Iraq’s territory.

Yet, ISIS still has sleeper cells in several Iraqi Governorates.

Its fighters are making a comeback with kidnap and killing; one of the massive reactivation incidents was when two ISIS men blew themselves up in a crowded Baghdad market on January 2021, killing at least 32 people in Iraq’s first extensive suicide bombing for three years.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
14-year-old Palestinian killed by troops, allegedly while hurling firebombs at cars
[IsraelTimes] Local Paleostinians claim al-Khader resident Muhammad Shahada was on other side of security barrier from road, too far away to threaten drivers

A Paleostinian teen was rubbed out by Israeli troops Tuesday night while allegedly throwing Molotov cocktails at passing cars near the West Bank city of Bethlehem.

Paleostinian Authority health officials identified the dear departed as Muhammad Shahada, 14, a resident of al-Khader, near Bethlehem.

Israeli soldiers provided him with first aid on the scene, but he died of his injuries shortly thereafter, the Israeli army said.

Israeli soldiers ambushed "three Paleostinian suspects" throwing Molotov cocktails at a spot near al-Khader, the army said

Israelis traveling along the area’s main traffic artery, Route 60, have repeatedly been attacked with Molotov cocktails at the juncture in recent weeks.

The Israel Defense Forces said the three suspects, including Shahada, were responsible for a string of local firekabooms.

"The troops fired at one of the suspects while he threw a Molotov cocktail, and hit him," the IDF said in a statement.

Former Khader town mayor Adnan Sbeih said he heard the shooting and rushed out of his home, which lies on the outskirts of the town near the scene of the ambush.

The Israeli security barrier separates al-Khader from Route 60 and Sbeih and others noted that Shahada was shot on the al-Khader side of the wall, disputing whether he actually posed a risk to motorists.

"The child was maybe 100 meters from the wall. But the army seemed to have fired from much closer. It seemed like the army had prepared an ambush on this side of the wall," Sbeih said in a phone call.

Ahmad Salah, Muhammad’s cousin, told The Times of Israel that he believed Shahada was nowhere near close enough to the wall to threaten Israelis — "even if we assume that he was throwing Molotov cocktails."

He pointed to a video from the scene which showed soldiers giving first aid in what appeared to be a courtyard between homes.

"You can see in the videos that he’s still within the houses [of the village]. People filmed from their homes through the windows — that’s not next to the wall," claimed Salah.

The West Bank has seen a rise in violent mostly peaceful confrontations between Israeli soldiers and Paleostinians in recent weeks. Two Paleostinians were shot last week during confrontations with Israeli forces. Nihad al-Barghouti, 19, was shot and killed near Nebi Saleh last Tuesday after allegedly throwing Molotov cocktails at a military post, although Paleostinian witnesses dispute the matter.

The second Paleostinian, 17-year-old Mohammad Abu Salah, was killed during a firefight between Israeli soldiers and Paleostinians in the town of Silat al-Harithiya, near Jenin. The troops had arrived after dark to demolish part of a home belonging to a Paleostinian charged in a terror attack in which yeshiva student Yehuda Dimentman was killed near the Homesh outpost in December.

Israeli undercover police potted three Paleostinians during a rare daytime raid in the West Bank city of Nablus earlier this month. The Israeli troops fired dozens of rounds into the car before seizing two M-16 rifles from the vehicle and driving away from the scene.

Israeli defense officials said the three were behind a string of recent shooting attacks on military posts. They were later claimed as members by the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, a loose coalition of gangs affiliated with the ruling Fatah party.

4 Palestinians arrested for breaking into IDF base in south
Could be jihadis, could be criminals
[IsraelTimes] M-16 rifle ammunition, night-vision goggles and radios seized from suspects who had illegally entered Israel

Four Paleostinians were arrested overnight Monday for allegedly attempting to steal military equipment from a training zone in southern Israel.

According to police, after a series of break-ins at army bases in the south in recent weeks, undercover officers as well as the police drone unit were deployed to the area.

Border Police officers spotted the four entering a military base on a cycle of violence, and saw them stealing ammunition from a shooting range, police said.

Police said the men, residents of the West Bank town of Idhna who had illegally entered Israel, were caught "red-handed" after a brief chase.

Ammunition for an M-16 rifle, night-vision goggles, radios, burglary equipment, as well as the stolen cycle of violence they used to break into the base were seized, police said.

The suspects were being interrogated, the police said.

Military bases are regularly burgled. Last November the IDF changed its open-fire policies to allow soldiers to use deadly force to stop thieves.

Drone flew 30 km into Israel before IDF detected it, Hezbollah sources claim
[IsraelTimes] Terror group officials say Hassan craft evaded monitoring systems on border; Lebanese daily publishes ostensible map of UAV’s route

Hezbollah sources claimed Tuesday it took the Israeli military half an hour to realize that a drone launched by the Lebanese terror group last week had penetrated some 30 kilometers into Israel’s airspace.

Speaking to the Lebanese Al Akhbar newspaper, "well-informed" Hezbollah sources said the Hassan-model drone — apparently named after Hassan al-Laqis, a Hezbollah commander allegedly killed by Israeli button men in 2013 — was launched on Friday at 11:40 a.m.

The source claimed the drone managed to bypass monitoring and early-warning systems on the border, as well as the Iron Dome air defense system shortly thereafter.

"The enemy was not able to detect the [UAV] until 12:10 p.m. after it crossed some 30 kilometers... and arrived at the Rosh Pina area, near the city of Safed," the source was quoted as saying.

The claim did not appear to be true. The army had activated alarms in several communities in the Upper Galilee and southern Golan Heights at 11:52 a.m., and in another area of the Galilee at 11:58 a.m., after an Iron Dome interceptor missile was fired at the aircraft.

The military did not say exactly when or where the air force first identified the drone.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, helicopters and fighter jets were scrambled to take down the drone, after the interceptor missile failed to hit its target.

The Hezbollah source claimed the F-16 fighter jets were traveling too fast to be able to detect the small, slow drone.

While the Iron Dome has been proven effective against drones in the past, it is believed the Hassan model was too small to be correctly identified by the system’s radar.

It took the IDF until 12:47 p.m. to announce that the military had lost contact with the drone shortly after launching an interceptor missile at it, and a further hour and a half after that to confirm that the craft had returned to Lebanese airspace "a few minutes" after it had first been identified.

The newspaper published a map (above) that allegedly shows the drone’s route through Israeli airspace. Hezbollah claimed Friday the drone had flown over Israel for some 40 minutes.

The terror group said the aircraft was on a reconnaissance mission, but it was not clear if it recorded any images while in Israeli airspace. The exact specifications of the Hassan model remain unclear.

Israel said to fire missiles at Syrian targets across Golan Heights frontier
[IsraelTimes] Syrian state media says several surface-to-surface missiles launched at Quneitra area, causing ’material damage,’ no comment from IDF

Israel fired several missiles at targets in the area of the Quneitra border town in the Syrian Golan Heights after midnight Tuesday, Syrian state media reported.

Quoting military sources, the state-run SANA news agency said that "the Israeli enemy carried out an aggression with a number of surface-to-surface missiles" fired from the Israeli part of the Heights.

The report said the missiles targeted "some points in the vicinity of Quneitra, which led to some material losses." There were no immediate reports of casualties.

Local journalists claimed the targets included an observation post in the town of Rwihinah, adjacent to the border fence, and a "finance building" in the City of Baath.

Quneitra lies just across the border on the Golan Heights, in the demilitarized zone between the countries.

Israel’s alleged use of surface-to-surface missiles — in place of munitions fired from aircraft — has been linked to a recent meeting between Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Russian President Vladimir Putin

s, which had repeatedly defeated the Russian batteries.

The Israel Defense Forces had no comment. Israel’s military does not comment on reports of specific strikes in Syria, save for those that are in retaliation for attacks from the country.

Israel has launched hundreds of strikes against Iran-linked military targets in Syria over the years, but rarely acknowledges or discusses such operations.

Israel has acknowledged that it targets the bases of Iranian forces and Iran-allied terror groups, particularly along the Golan border, such as Lebanon Hezbollahstan

’s Hezbollah, which has fighters deployed in southern Syria. It says it also attacks arms shipments believed to be bound for those groups.

The last reported strikes in Syria attributed to Israel — also allegedly with surface-to-surface missiles — took place on Thursday, and reportedly caused damage to a site near the town of Zakiya.

Turkish drone targets countryside of Manbij

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, a Turkish drone targeted the outskirts of the villages of Arab Hassan and al-Muhsinli, north of Manbij, northern Syria, a security source told North Press.

The drone took off from the Turkish base near Awn al-Dadat, north of Manbij, and targeted some houses on the outskirts of the villages of Arab Hassan and al-Muhsinli, the source added.

The source did not mention any other details as to whether there were human or material losses in the place.

The Turkish drone is still flying over the lines of contact between the Manbij Military Council (military formation affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces-SDF) and the Turkish-backed armed Syrian opposition factions, according to the source.

On February 5, a drone bombed the outskirts of the village of Umm Adasa (al-Farat), northwest of Manbij, but no human or material losses were recorded.

Late in 2021, villages in the northern and western countryside of Manbij were intensely bombed by the Turkish forces, killing a woman and her child, and causing material damage to the property of the residents.

Official of Turkish-backed faction killed in Aleppo countryside

AZAZ, Syria (North Press) – An official in charge of the technical issues of the Turkish-backed faction of al-Jabha al-Shamya (Levant Front) killed on Tuesday in explosion of an IED planted in his car in a neighborhood in the city of Azaz, north Aleppo.

“The explosion claimed life of the official of the Levant Front Muhammad al-Hussein so-called ‘Abu Hussein Ishara,” an exclusive source told North Press.

“The city witnessed military alert by the military police faction checking and setting other checkpoints inside residential neighborhoods following the explosion,” the source added.

On February 15, a young man and a child were injured as an IED placed inside a garbage bin detonated in the middle of Azaz city.

In January, a member of the Turkish-backed Military Police was killed and two others were wounded in an IED explosion in a car in Azaz city.

Since July 2012, Azaz and the surrounding villages, north of Aleppo, have been under the control of the Turkish-backed Syrian armed opposition factions. Successive bombings and kidnapping take place frequently in the city amid inability of the Syrian opposition factions to control security.

Israeli Jets Overfly Southern Cities and Towns at Low, Medium Altitudes
[AnNahar] Israeli warplanes on Tuesday overflew the southern cities of Sidon and Tyre and the western and central sectors of the South at low altitude, the National News Agency said.

The jets broke the sound barrier over southern towns and villages, NNA added.

Israeli warplanes also staged intensive overflights at medium altitude in the skies of the southern regions of Nabatiyeh and Iqlim al-Tuffah.
