Moment disabled man, 66, is beaten to death with metal pole in Seattle 'by serial criminal who judge freed on felony charges eight days earlier, after asking killer not to commit any more crimes'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Aaron Fulk, 48, was caught on camera brutally attacking 66-year-old Rodney Peterman, striking him in the back of the head multiple times with a metal pole

  • Peterman died four days later in a Seattle hospital

  • Fulk is currently being held at the King County Jail on $2.5 million bond after prosecutors argued he was a clear danger to the public

  • He has pleaded not guilty to a charge of first-degree murder

  • Eight days before the attack, he was released by a judge in Pierce County, Washington after threatening a security guard working at a transit stop

  • Pierce County Superior Court Judge Philip Thornton released him without bail after telling him 'not to commit any more crimes'

  • Seattle's city council voted in the fall of 2020 and 2021 to defund the police and since then the force has remained chronically understaffed

  • The new mayor of Seattle, Bruce Harrell, was elected to improve the situation in the city and described the police force as 'devastated and demoralized'

  • Harrell has prioritized tackling the city's homeless problem - one of the worst in the nation - but the move has taken resources from other areas

Oklahoma woman slips out of cuffs, shoots man and deputy from back of police cruiser, video shows
[FoxNews] Rachael Zion Clay is being held on $1M bond on a charge of shooting with intent to kill.

Oklahoma authorities have released wild dash and bodycam video that shows a handcuffed woman retrieving a police rifle and firing it out of the back of a patrol car – striking a civilian and a deputy.

The Grady County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wellness check at a home in Blanchard just before noon on Aug. 12. Deputies took a woman into custody, placed her in handcuffs and into the back of a marked SUV.

Video taken inside the vehicle shows her squirming in the backseat, slipping one hand out of her cuffs and fishing out the rifle.

She loads it, aims out the window and begins firing.

Both victims were hospitalized with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, according to authorities.

Police initially described the encounter as a barricade situation and eventually the suspect, Rachael Zion Clay, surrendered to authorities.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
'Who's Your Daddy?’
[CityViewMag] Evaluate your fellow man by character rather than upon accident of birth.

Dr. Fred Craddock, Jr., formerly a professor in theology at Emory University, is credited with a widely circulated story that has become a classic: “Who’s your Daddy?” The sermon, which originates from one of Dr. Craddock’s personal experiences, begins with a “fictional” theology professor and his wife on vacation in Gatlinburg.

After ordering breakfast at a local restaurant, the couple waited for their meal, hoping to enjoy a few private moments together. When they noticed a distinguished-looking, white-haired gentleman moving from table to table, visiting with the guests, the professor leaned over and whispered to his wife, “We came here to get away from the crowds. I hope he doesn’t come over.” But sure enough, the man soon stopped at their table.

“Where are you folks from?” he asked in a friendly voice.

“Oklahoma,” they answered.

“Great to have you here in Tennessee,” the stranger said. “What do you do for a living?”

“I teach at a seminary,” he replied.

“Oh, so you teach preachers how to preach, do you? Well, I’ve got a really great story for you.” And with that, the gentleman pulled up a chair and sat down.

At that point, the professor silently groaned and thought to himself, “Great. Just what I need . . . another preacher story!”

Pointing out a window, the man continued. “See that mountain over there? Not far from the base of that mountain an unwed mother gave birth to a son. At age six, the mother had such a difficult time, she placed the boy in an orphanage. He had a hard life in his early years because just about every place he went, people asked the same question: ’Young man, who’s your daddy?’ At school, the boy often hid from his fellow students during recess, and almost always sat alone while having lunch. Because ‘the question’ caused so much pain, he avoided going into local shops. Although he attended church regularly, he always arrived late and stepped out early. When he was about 12 years old, a new minister at his church gave the sermon. The benediction happened so fast that the boy got caught in the aisle and had to walk out with everyone else. When he reached the exit, the new minister, not knowing anything about the young man, put his hand on his shoulder and asked, ‘Son, who is your daddy?’

“When some members of the congregation heard the question, they became deathly quiet, knowing that the young man was embarrassed. By the sheepish looks on the faces of those within earshot, the minister realized his mistake and, using discernment that only the Holy Spirit could provide, quickly recovered…‘Wait a minute! I see the family resemblance. You are a child of God.’ With that he placed his hand on the shoulder of the young man and said, ‘Boy, you’ve got a great inheritance. Go and claim it.’

“That young man was never the same again,” the stranger continued. Whenever anybody asked him, ‘Who’s your daddy,’ he’d answer, ‘I’m a Child of God.’ Isn’t that a great story?”

The professor, by then genuinely interested, responded, “It really is!”

As the older man walked away, he remarked, “You know, if that new preacher hadn’t told me that I was one of God’s children, I probably never would have amounted to anything!”

The professor, deeply moved by the experience, called his waitress over and asked, “Do you know who that man is?”

The waitress smiled. “Everybody around here knows that man. He lives just down the road. That’s Ben Hooper, the former governor of Tennessee!”

Flash flooding in Bavaria, Austria as heat wave breaks
It’s as if all that fussing was nothing more than hysteria.
[DW]
Bone dry ground in southern Germany and Austria was unable to absorb heavy rains as they finally fell overnight. In other parts of Germany, the wait for promised and plentiful precipitation continued.

The German Weather Service (DWD) had issued storm warnings for much of the country overnight.

It said on Saturday that the extent of the damage overnight had been less serious than feared, but kept its highest storm warning level in place for the southeasternmost tip of Bavaria for Saturday.

Bavaria's flooding alert service said that streams and rivers that had been at dangerously low levels were filling up rapidly as water ran off the soil and into the tributaries. However,
Switzerland makes more than cheese...
it said that "in mid-sized and larger rivers" that were more accurately monitored, "the quantities of rain have so far only led to a few isolated cases of burst banks."

Britain
‘No Consideration' of Performance – RAF Told to Hire Women and Minorities over White Men
[Breitbart] Royal Air Force (RAF) recruiters have allegedly been ordered to hire ethnic minorities and women over white males in an effort to meet government-backed diversity targets, leaks have reportedly revealed.

In an effort to meet race and gender diversity quotas set by the so-called Conservative Party government, recruiters within Britain’s Royal Air Force have been ordered to hire women and "BAME" (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic) candidates over white men, a report published on Saturday has claimed.

Insiders within the air force had already claimed that an "effective pause" on the hiring of white men had been implemented, according to reports, with diversity targets being cited as having a negative impact on the air force’s operational capabilities.

Such claims have now been given even further backing, with a Sky News report claiming that documents leaked to the broadcaster appear to back up the charges.

According to the news organisation, one document explicitly stated that the "Recruitment Force continues to prioritise female candidates" for what is described as "customer relationship management".

Another document said that recruiters were prioritising ethnic minorities, saying the "[t]he Recruitment Force continues to prioritise BAME candidates from the VA for CRM, whilst Rec Ops [recruitment operations] prioritises its loading onto BRTC [basic training course," according to Sky.

Meanwhile, an internal email seen by Sky News reportedly showed the organisation ditching suitability interviews for proposed candidates — a move at least one insider has claimed was to decrease the number of women and ethnic minority candidates filtered out by the process.

#8  /\ That's the convenient thing about men like Donald Trump, they can be bashed in good times and in bad.

Starns writes in Odette, Chap 6, Fallen Heroine, page 180:

Criticisms leveled...., Historically the British press were in the habit of extolling the virtues of heroes and heroines then knocking them off their pedestal the next. In Australia the process was called the tall poppy syndrone, a peculier feature of all societies, where nobody was allowed to be considered better than the rest of the population for too long since heroic people made the rest feel inadequate.

Some food for thought if nothing else.

China-Japan-Koreas
China Orders Communist Officials to ‘Produce Artificial Rainfall' as Drought Threatens Crops
[Breitbart] China’s central government issued its first national drought alert of 2022 on Thursday, advising authorities to “produce artificial rainfall when necessary” due to the “risk of wildfires” across vast swathes of China’s central and southern regions, according to Xinhua, the country’s official state press agency.

China’s National Meteorological Center (NMC) issued a “yellow” alert for drought “above a moderate level” on August 18. The notice applied to areas across the following ten provinces, municipalities, and regions: Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guizhou, Chongqing, Sichuan, and Tibet.

China’s “yellow” drought alert was expected to last from August 18 through at least August 21.
Three whole days? Golly.
The scorching heatwave responsible for Thursday’s weather notice began in mid-June, according to data from China’s state-run NMC.

“[T]he comprehensive intensity of the regional heatwaves that have hit China since June 13 is the strongest since 1961 when the country started to keep complete meteorological records,” Xinhua reported on August 17.

The NMC renewed a “high-temperature” alert for much of China’s south on August 19 for the 30th consecutive day, according to a notice posted by the center’s official account on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website.

“State forecasters also predicted that the current heatwave would only start to abate on Aug. 26.,” Reuters observed on Friday after reviewing the NMC Weibo statement.

According to the news agency:

The weather agency said in its daily bulletin that 4.5 million square kilometres of national territory had now experienced temperatures of 35 degrees Celsius [95 degrees Fahrenheit] or more over the past month — nearly half the country’s total area — with more than 200 weather stations recording record highs.

The time period of China’s ongoing heatwave (June to August) coincides with much of China’s agricultural growing season, meaning the drought threatens to significantly compromise the national food supply.

“[L]ate August [is] a critical period for the growing of autumn grain, accounting for 75 percent of the country’s annual grain output,” NMC chief forecaster Chen Tao told Xinhua on August 17.
Perhaps it would be wise for China to assume a more humble approach to key world wheat suppliers, like America and Australia...
“Commercial crops in south China, such as tea trees, citrus fruits and mangoes are fragile to heatwaves,” he noted.

“In central China’s Hubei Province, approximately 397,200 hectares of crops had been affected by water shortages as of Tuesday [August 16],” Xinhua relayed citing Hubei’s agricultural bureau.

“Water supply for urban and rural residents were also affected as some small and medium-sized rivers were too dry to flow. In southwest China’s Chongqing, several villages have reported water shortages,” according to the news agency.

“Chinese farmers start reaping crops such as wheat and planting corn and soybeans from late May, with the harvest starting in the warmer southern parts of the country and gradually moving north,” Bloomberg noted on May 30, adding, “It’s key to fulfilling Beijing’s annual food production targets and shortfalls can lead to sharp price spikes.”
A little late for this year, but now would be a good time to schedule consultation meetings with Israel’s drip irrigation specialists, who’ve done such a beautiful — and profitable — job making their deserts bloom.
The U.S.-based media outlet made the observation while reporting that China had recently made extraordinary efforts to ensure a successful summer wheat harvest amid global concerns about food shortages and inflation.

Chinese Communist Party Premier Li Keqiang stressed during a May 26 teleconference that “the reaping of crops should proceed without hindrance.”

“Local authorities shouldn’t set up obstacles for any reason and whoever fails to perform their duties will be held accountable,” Li warned.

“The instructions come after farmers in some parts of China had to contend with strict virus curbs that prevented them from plowing their fields and sowing their seeds,” Bloomberg recalled on May 30.

China’s national food supply has regularly suffered from shortages caused by poor or weather-ruined harvests in recent years.

#2  As it is, we all work for the gummint. It's just that most of us don't get gummint bennies or a license to do whatever we want like the feebs and other bureaucrats do.

#3  #3 yes, but in China you are on your own and still the youth of China aspire to minimalism. Here we have aid that sustains minimalism so this population grows. No marriages, no children, no car, no regular job, no rent, no interest in purchasing a home.

#4  Ref #2: Tax advantages and assistance(pandemic game) as if on corporate welfare. Recruitment is a massive failure in finding people for FEMA, CIA, FBI, DOJ, Army, Navy, Air force, Marines and so on. 87,000 agents for IRS is a joke

'Cause and effect' clearly illustrated. Can't find the "right kind of people" because they're already on the payroll....so to speak.

#6  I know now why they are hiring so many new IRS agents. Getting blood from a stone be hard.

Conservative Actor Jon Voight Releases Epic Video
[Patriot Fetch] Well, while most Hollywood personalities are leftist radicals more than happy to see the FBI act in such a biased, disgraceful way toward former President Donald Trump, not all of them are happy to watch tyranny take over America.

Particularly, there’s one actor that’s standing up for former President Donald Trump and fighting back against the woke FBI and its attempts to intimidate former President Trump into keeping quiet and staying out of the 2024 race (if that is indeed what it’s doing; many conservative commentators suggest that was the goal, many MSM types claim the FBI had good reason to be there).

That actor would be conservative Hollywood star Jon Voight, who released an epic video in which he bashed the FBI with a vengeance, showing what he really thought of that horrid, Stasi-like agency.

Watch him here:
