‘I saw a dead man come back to life': Sheriff says ‘miracle' saved deputy shot in head
[WMBF News] GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - On Thursday night after a deputy was critically wounded in the line of duty, an Upstate sheriff said he believes a miracle occurred in Greenville, South Carolina.

Corporal Lucas Watts with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office was struck by gunfire while deputies were pursuing a suspect on Nov. 16.

During a Sunday morning service at Westminster First Baptist Church, Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw opened up to his church about the extent of Watts’ injuries.

"Just so you all understand the significance of his injuries, I’m not talking about a grazing wound to the head," Crenshaw said. "I’m talking about a bullet to his brain so that you understand just how significant his injury was. I didn’t share that with my folks on the scene, it wasn’t the time."

While Crenshaw was on scene after the shooting, he said he got a phone call saying he was needed at the hospital. He drove from Fair Play to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he said he was told that the deputy’s wounds were not survivable.

Video shows Marines in massive brawl outside Austin, Texas, bar after a woman's cell phone was taken
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Marines and civilians were in a fight in front of Voodoo Room nightclub in Austin's entertainment district

  • Several blows are exchanged and people are knocked to the ground

  • One bystander is cheering on the military men as police break up the quarrel

In July, the Austin Police and Texas Department of Public Safety resumed a partnership to increase the police presence and deter crime on the popular downtown bar street.
...after Austin defunded their police force, causing crime to soar.

#1  It wasn't really massive. One guy hit a Marine three times to no effect and then got his clock cleaned.

DPS showed up pretty quickly and broke up the fight. To no ones surprise no Marines were arrested, but the guy who started it went to jail.

I like the part towards the end where the female APD officer more or less bounces off of one of the DPS Troopers.

Michigan township declares itself a '2nd Amendment Sanctuary City
Well if the LSD's can have Illegal Drug & Immigrant Sanctuary cities.
Why not this, which actually is covered by the US Constitution / Bill Of Rights?

[LawEnforcementToday] Last Tuesday, the Holton Township Board of Trustees adopted a resolution designating the township a Second Amendment sanctuary, promising the township will not enforce red-flag laws restricting gun and ammunition possession. The Muskegon County township followed the lead of Livingston County, which passed a similar resolution earlier this year.
All the details of this very straightforward resolution can be seen at the link.
Meanwhile, the Michigan Court of Claims found the Michigan House violated the state’s Open Meetings Act during committee hearings discussing the imposition of several anti-gun bills, Great Lakes Gun Rights posted on X.

During hearings, the legislature refused to allow, or severely limited, the ability of pro-gun rights speakers to testify during committee hearings. The bills were proposed ostensibly in response to a shooting at Michigan State University. Groups such as Great Lakes Gun Rights and Michigan Open Carry were silenced, they allege, by anti-gun committee chairs.

However, the court declined to issue an injunction preventing further illegal acts by the Michigan legislature, believing they would comply in the future.

Iowa's Board of Regents vote to get rid of diversity, equity, and inclusion jobs, programs on all 3 campuses
[KETV] The Iowa Board of Regents votes to get rid of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) jobs and programs at all three public universities.
Well done, guys!
On Thursday, they approved all 10 recommendations from a DEI study group.

The group looked at several factors, including recent legislation in Texas and Florida.

In addition to removing programs, race will no longer be a factor during the admissions or hiring processes.

Students weighed in on how they felt about the programs at Iowa State.

"It needs more importance on campus because I think we don't have much programs for people of color," said one student.

"I don't think it should be cut down. If anything, it should be more," said another student.

The vote led to immediate outrage from DEI advocates.

The executive director of One Iowa said the decision shows "a blatant disregard" of data, research and desires of the campus community.

DEI advocates said the move will devastate the universities' capacity to attract, retain, and prepare students for their future careers.

This is part of their multi-day meeting, where they're taking up several issues.

Former governor of Nigeria's apex bank charged with procurement fraud
[AFRICANEWS] The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, who was removed from office in June, was on Friday (Nov .17) charged with procurement fraud at a local court, which remanded him in prison pending his bail ruling.

In amended charges, the Nigerian goverment said Godwin Emefiele illegally awarded contracts for dozens of vehicles during his time as the governor of the apex bank in Africa’s largest economy, according to court documents.

The charge sheet alleged that Emefiele used his position as the bank’s governor to "confer a corrupt advantage" on another member of staff by awarding the contracts to a company with links to that staff member, thereby breaching Nigeria’s procurement laws.

Appearing in court in Abuja, Nigeria's capital, Emefiele pleaded not guilty
"Wudn't me."
to the charges, which could land him in jail for at least five years if convicted. He has been in jug for most of the time since he was removed from office.

Regarded as one of the most powerful government officials in Nigeria when he led the bank, Emefiele's nine years of overseeing Nigeria’s monetary policy affairs was ended by Nigeria’s new president, Bola Tinubu, shortly after he took office in May.

The Nigerian presidency had said his suspension was to enable an investigation into the central bank’s affairs as part of new reforms in the financial sector, though it did not surprise many because of some of the bank's policies had been seen as controversial such as Nigeria’s failed currency swap program.

Some of his monetary policies also appeared different from the agenda of Tinubu while he was running for president — which matters in a country where the presidency has a huge influence on how the central bank operates.

His prolonged detention and investigation had complicated his case, leading him to sue Nigeria’s secret police for allegedly breaching his fundamental rights by detaining him longer that the period provided by the law. He was later released on court orders.

Argentina elects 'shock therapy' libertarian Javier Milei as president
More on this story from yesterday.
[NYPOST] Argentina
...a country located on the other side of the Deep South. It is covered with Pampers and inhabited by Grouchos, who dance the Tangle. They used to have some islands called the Malvinas located where the Falklands are now. They're not supposed to cry for Evita...
elected libertarian outsider Javier Milei as its new president on Sunday, rolling the dice on an outsider with radical views to fix an economy battered by triple-digit inflation, a looming recession and rising poverty.

Official results have not been released, but his rival, Peronist
...another whack at Fascism that did't work, except for the musical...
Economy Minister Sergio Massa, conceded in a speech.

His candidacy was hampered by the country’s worst economic crisis in two decades while he has been at the helm.

Milei is pledging economic shock therapy.

His plans include shutting the central bank, ditching the peso, and slashing spending, potentially painful reforms that resonated with voters angry at the economic malaise, but sparked fears of austerity in others.

"Milei is the new thing, he’s a bit of an unknown and it is a little scary, but it’s time to turn over a new page," said 31-year-old restaurant worker Cristian as he voted on Sunday.

But Milei’s challenges are enormous.

He will have to deal with the empty coffers of the government and central bank, a creaking $44 billion debt program with the International Monetary Fund, inflation nearing 150% and a dizzying array of capital controls.

[Gateway] Unleaded 88 gasoline, or E15, will be just $1.99 beginning November 20 as the company wishes people a "Happy ’Tanks-giving.’"

The promotion will run through Monday, Nov. 27 at 11:59 p.m. at locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The national average price of gas is currently $3.308 per gallon.

In August, Sheetz lowered the price of Unleaded 88 to $2.99 a gallon during the Labor Day holiday, when prices were much higher than they are now.

Sheetz also dropped the price of nearly all their gasoline blends to $1.776 in celebration of the Fourth of July.

"Sheetz is a family owned and operated company and we are always looking for ways to assist the communities and customers that we serve," said Travis Sheetz, President and CEO of Sheetz, according to a report from The Hill at the time. "We hope this discount helps our customers keep a little more change in their wallets as they travel to celebrate the 4th of July with friends and family, with an obvious nod to our nation’s birthday."

The family-owned company has done similar sales during other heavy travel days in the past.

The gas stations also lowered the cost of gas to $1.99 last Thanksgiving.

Government Corruption
Tony Seruga's 6 Jan Pipe Bomber story
[X] My partners and I have been lifetime data scientists. We own the digital ID of every mobile device/computer in the U.S. and have indexed and archived every IP address in the world. Our extensive experience in big and deep data, including geotracking and geolocation makes our dozens of data companies the top authority for providing data to corporations, law enforcement and U.S. government agencies like the CIA, NSA, DoD, DIA, NGA, NRO, FBI, as well as Interpol and foreign intelligence organizations.

There are a number of videos documenting these ghost buses as well as a number of mostly nondescript DOJ vans that dropped off ninja wearing individuals that appear in other videos to have breached the Capitol cutting fencing, removing barricades, opening doors, and other nefarious behaviors.

We also tracked the infamous J6 ’pipe bomber’ from one of these vans. Later, we eventually tracked them to a Virginia Metro station where a perfect capture of their vehicle license plate was made.

The FBI has ALL of this information. Shortly after they were alerted, however, AT&T mysteriously ’accidentally’ corrupted that and only that particular cell phone user’s data.

Additionally, their mobile device was used hundreds of times before and after J6 accessing keycard required DOJ/FBI parking garages and buildings.

Emphasis added.

Methodist Church approves split of 261 Georgia congregations after LGBTQ+ divide
[WABE] The North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church voted to allow 261 congregations to break from the denomination amid a schism over theological differences and the role of LGBTQ+ people in the church.

The conference ratified the disaffiliation requests from the congregations during a special session Saturday, allowing the churches to leave the denomination, news outlets report. The exit marked a "solemn day," the North Georgia Conference of the UMC said in a news release.

The United Methodist Church has long debated its bans on same-sex marriages and the ordination of openly LGBTQ+ clergy. The denomination forbids the marriage or ordination of "self-avowed, practicing homosexuals," but some U.S. churches and clergy have defied the bans. Many conservatives have chosen to leave amid a growing defiance of those bans.

So far 7,286 congregations, many in the South and Midwest, have received approval to disaffiliate from the denomination since 2019, according to an unofficial tally by United Methodist News Service. Most of the disaffiliations, more than 5,000, occurred this year.

Conservatives launched a new Global Methodist Church.

Royal Navy nuclear submarine equipped with Trident missiles 'suffered huge malfunction that sent the vessel into an endless dive - with engineers saving the 140 crew members moments before they faced being crushed by underwater pressure'
Remember when the British navy ruled the seas? Sadly, this is not that navy.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A Royal Navy nuclear submarine equipped with Trident missiles suffered a huge malfunction that sent it into an endless dive before the vessel was righted moments before the crew faced being crushed by underwater pressure, it was claimed today.

The Vanguard class sub had been carrying 140 crew when its depth gauge suddenly failed while on a mission in the Atlantic.

It caused a frantic scrabble with engineers managing to stop the submarine and its nuclear reactor from plunging further just moments before disaster struck.

The deep sea vessel, carrying Trident 2 missiles, was on patrol when the depth indicators stopped working, with its crew falsely believing it was level when in fact it was diving deeper into the ocean.

It was only when engineers at the back of the sub found a second gauge indicating they were headed towards the 'danger zone' that they sounded the alarm.

'It's not the engineers' job to control the sub's depth but they saw how deep they were and realised something was wrong,' a source told The Sun.

In January, defence chiefs launched an urgent investigation after workmen allegedly used glue to repair broken bolts inside a nuclear reactor chamber onboard HMS Vanguard.

The unsuitable repairs to the bolt heads, which had sheared off after being over-tightened, were discovered during a routine check aboard the sub, according to The Sun.

Repair work was being undertaken as part of a dry dock refurbishment at HMNB Devonport in Plymouth, which is behind schedule by four years and £300million over budget.

Defence Secretary Ben Wallace is said to have demanded 'assurances about future work' carried out on the 15,900-ton vessel by established contractor Babcock following the discovery.
