Update on Multiple People Being Shot in Uvalde
[RedState] We reported on Thursday night about a shooting in Uvalde, Texas, that happened around 5:30 pm local time. Two juveniles were injured in the shooting and were taken to hospitals in San Antonio. They are now reportedly in stable condition, the nature of their gunshot injuries is unclear.

The police said they have four persons of interest in custody. The police say that another minor was declared as a suspect in the shooting and was being sought. The police are not announcing the names of the people involved because they are juveniles.

The Texas Department of Public Safety announced that the shooting was likely “gang-related” and that they would be working with the local police on the matter.

‘I Will Never Leave Mountjoy Prison' – Man Who Refuses to Use Trans Student's Pronouns Jailed
[Breitbart] A teacher who refused to use the preferred pronouns of a transgender pupil has been jailed for breaching a ban imposed upon him by his school.

A teacher has been jailed in Ireland for failing to comply with a temporary injunction banning him from the school where he works.

The dispute at the centre of the arrest is reported to involve the teacher, Enoch Burke, refusing to use a transgender pupil’s preferred pronouns, with the teacher reportedly saying that he does not agree with transgenderism.

According to a report by the Irish Independent, the Irish courts have now “committed” the teacher to prison for failing to comply with the court injunction, finding that the suggestion that Burke had broken the injunction was not in dispute.

Speaking to the court, Burke argued that he could not in good conscience comply with the order, arguing that his initial suspension from the school was unlawful, and that obeying the order would constitute a violation of his own religious beliefs.

“I am here today because I would not call a boy a girl,” Burke is reported as telling the court. “It is not something I will do. It is in violation of my conscience.”

“Were I to obey the order of the board of management and the order of the court, I would have to accept that sticking by my belief in male and female is wrong,” he added.

“It is not something I will do,” Burke went on to say. “It is in violation of my conscience.”

The judge presiding over the case, Mr Justice Quinn, said that the only matter he could concern himself with was whether the previous injunction issued by the court had been followed, claiming he could not consider the point raised by Burke.

Justice Quinn committed Burke to Mountjoy Prison in Dublin and ordered that he “remain therein until he purges his contempt or until further order of this court”.

Speaking on the decision after the ruling, however, Burke reportedly said that it would not be possible to “purge” his “contempt”.

“I cannot purge my contempt by holding my Christian beliefs in contempt,” the teacher reportedly said.

He is then noted as hugging his father, Sean, and his brother, Isaac, before being taken away by members of Ireland’s police force, An Garda Síochána.

Burke has since declared that he believes he will never leave prison should this only be possible through the abandonment of his Christian faith.

“I can be a Christian in Mountjoy Prison or I can be a pagan acceptor of transgenderism outside it,” the Irish Independent reports the teacher as declaring.

“I will never leave Mountjoy Prison if in leaving that prison I must violate my well-informed conscience, and my religious beliefs, and deny my God,” he added.

Carnegie Mellon University Condemns Prof Uju Anya's Tweets Wishing Queen Elizabeth II ‘Excruciating' Death
[Breitbart] Carnegie Mellon University condemned professor Uju Anya’s tweets wishing Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II an "excruciating" death hours before she died on Thursday.

Carnegie Mellon professor Uju Anya wrote, "I heard the chief monarch of a thieving raping genocidal empire is finally dying. May her pain be excruciating" on Thursday following the news that Queen Elizabeth II was on her deathbed.

"We do not condone the offensive and objectionable messages posted by Uju Anya today on her personal social media account," a Carnegie Mellon spokesperson told Breitbart News in a statement.

"Free expression is core to the mission of higher education, however, the views she shared absolutely do not represent the values of the institution, nor the standards of discourse we seek to foster," the spokesperson added.

The tweet was later removed by Twitter, with the social media platform saying, "This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules."

Anya didn’t stop there, proceeding to issue similar follow-up tweets, as well as argue with people who took offense at her comments.

Well, did CMU terminate her employment?
Or is this just another case of Black Racist speech given Immunity?

Think, this POS is filling future leader minds with her racist hate. While her very role as a Professor of a top 10 college is PROOF that National/State Racism no longer exists.

It seems, too many minorties in powerful positions feel a strange need to play the Race Card, so as to fit in with those that did not, or do not apply themselves in life and just blame others for their choices.

LONDON (AP) — Britain’s new monarch is named King Charles III — but that was not inevitable.

Charles Philip Arthur George could have chosen another royal name when he took the throne after the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday. "

IIRC, legend has it that when Britain again has a King Arthur, that would signify either the end of Britain, or the end of the world. So be grateful for small favors.

Science & Technology
Baby Copperhead Season Is in Full Swing
[Garden & Gun] During September and into early October, copperheads are born all over the South, meaning it’s a time to be careful around the yard and keep an extra eye on curious pups. Copperhead bites are the most common snakebites in the U.S., and though they are almost never fatal, the severe swelling and bruising will land you in the emergency room. Here’s what to know about the feisty little vipers, according to Ben Morrison, a South Carolina—based herpetologist who works for the Amphibian and Reptile Conservancy.

IDENTIFICATION IS KEY
Copperheads, as the name suggests, have a golden-brown head that, paired with their unique pattern, makes them easy to differentiate from other snakes. "I would say the biggest thing is looking for darker-colored hourglass shapes on the body," Morrison says. "There’s really no other snake around that has this color and pattern." It’s a better indicator than following the old adage about triangular heads, as nonvenomous snakes (including water snakes) can in fact have triangle-shaped heads. (Snakes themselves seem to be aware of this myth; some, when threatened, can flatten their heads to look triangular.)

Despite their venom, very few young copperheads make it to adulthood; soon after birth, they are picked off by everything from birds to bullfrogs. To aid with foraging in the first and most difficult year of their lives, baby copperheads have a secret weapon: a bright green tail that looks just like a worm. Later, they’ll rely on ambushing, but when they are so small they can’t yet go after larger prey, wiggling their green tail helps them bait small amphibians and reptiles.
