-Lurid Crime Tales-
The Green Emperor has No Clothes…
[CFP] This is a big story that will probably fly under the radar. That’s too bad because it gets at the underlying scammy nature of the climate change movement.

Every time a state government or a corporation announces a particular environmental target, most of the time what they mean is that they’re going to make some small changes and then they’ll buy some offsets or credits to compensate for the rest.

For example, makers of actual cars were forced to buy credits from Tesla by California so that working-class drivers were financing luxury car owners. Airlines now routinely announce that they’re buying offsets which means a portion of your ticket is going to pay off some company that is supposedly doing some environmentally sound. Your power company buys credits resold by some company that’s supposedly running wind farms in Wyoming (that nobody needs) which doesn’t mean that you’re using wind power, but that you’re paying for someone else to use wind power to atone for your use of fossil fuels.

Obviously, this is already a scam. And the few sincere environmentalists who believe the sky is actually falling denounce it as such. But it’s an incredibly lucrative scam that moves billions if not trillions of dollars around.
Thank God. When I saw the title, I though it was gonna be nudes of Greta....8p

-Great Cultural Revolution
Nearly 100 Babylon Bee joke stories have come true
[Fox News] "The problem isn't that our satire is too close to reality," Seth Dillon told Fox News. "It’s that reality is too close to satire, so our jokes keep coming true." The fulfilled prophecies include a wide range of topics and include jokes about Democrats and Republicans alike.

The Bee published one article, "To Improve Public Perception, Kamala Harris Taking Likability Lessons From Hillary Clinton," in July 2021. A month later, Axios reported that a former Clinton advisor hosted a dinner to discuss how to defend Vice President Kamala Harris from bad press.

In September 2022, the Bee joked about the economy with the headline, "9 Reasons Not To Worry About The Tanking Economy." Just two days later, the Washington Post published the headline "7 ways a recession could be good for you financially."
I wonder if they have a time machine? Shouldn't we have a time machine graphic?
On Feb. 3, 2023, the Bee posted the headline "Biden Says He’ll Shoot Down Chinese Spy Balloon As Soon As He’s Done Letting It Spy." One day later, Biden announced that the balloon was shot down over the Atlantic Ocean after it finished crossing the United States, arguing that he waited so debris wouldn't fall on civilians.
I think the Bee story is closer to the 'truth'.

-Land of the Free
A Re-Declaration of Independence
[protein wisdom reborn!] Be it so understood:

I refuse to "unpack white violence." I reject the idea that my existence "perpetuates white power structures." I will not — and in fact cannot — "examine my implicit biases." I’m an individual. I refuse to grant determined interpretive communities authority over my being. My meaning is mine. It is what makes me me.

I’m not taking any "journey" to "discover" the impact of my "privilege" on "black & brown peoples." I will not become "anti-racist" or "anti-fascist" to satisfy your demands. I reject Cultural Marxism. I am an individual. I’m not defined by my color, my religion, my sex. I’m Jeff.

I will not "respect your pronouns" or "celebrate" your "queerness." I am hostile to your sexualizing of children. I reject your neologisms, your "triggers," and your desire to control my speech. I know who and what you are: you are my presumptive master, or the Useful Idiot who empowers him. But I will grant you and your ideology no power over me.

I reject "equity" because it is collectivism disguised as virtue. I reject "inclusivity" because it is inorganic, superficial, and contrived. I reject mandated "diversity": I will not surrender to the Crayon Box Mafia, nor to the gender changelings who pretend I am a construct answerable to their whims.

"Cultural appropriation" is merely culture: it expands to include, and it makes up the very fabric of a pluralist society. There’s no such thing as "digital blackface." My whiteness
...a concept invented by academics with time on their hands and no real life accomplishments to disparage the European-descended for their multitude of racial sins, such as hard work, thrift, honesty, punctuality, and good manners...
is not "violent"; my sex is not "oppressive"; my religion doesn’t concern you; and my children are not yours to mold. Your beliefs will not be imposed me. The State will not parent my children.

"Queer theory" is "critical race theory" is "critical consciousness" is the Marxist rejection of the individual as individual. Cultural Marxism is determined to raze norms, sow chaos, tear families asunder, and reduce being to collective conformity. I reject its adherents. I will not comply.

I will not mouth your slogans. I will not denounce on command. I am not your tool, and you are not my minder. I reject your social hectoring. I find abhorrent your authoritarian urges. I laugh at your disingenuous outrage. From me you will receive no apologies. I reject your premises entirely, and I hereby reclaim my time.

My speech is my own. I reject each of your excuses to silence me. I don’t ask for your protections. I can filter information without your interference, and I despise your presumption to protect me from myself.

Reality is cold, harsh, and tends to be uncooperative
[coldfury.com]First blood? Don’t anybody look now, but the Left already done drawed it.

Skull-Stomping Sacred Cows: Reality Isn’t Nice. It’s a 2×4 to the Teeth.

Sam Culper posted a comment on FB recently, in light of the protests-turned-riots in Berkeley, and elsewhere, asking, "What happens when the black bloc ("anarchists") get AR’s?" A legit question, all things considered, and one deserving of serious consideration, which we’ll get to in a moment. The problem that arose, which I, in turn, confronted in a FB post on the MG FB page, was that the responses to Sam’s questions were retarded. Seriously. The comments read like the locker room bragging of a bunch of 13 year olds, after PE class, about the hot dates they’d had last Friday night.

Seriously....these ranged from "Open season on liberals!" type macho posturing, to "they’re just a bunch of cowards who can’t do shit in a stand-up fight!"

Here’s the reality. I am going to share my response to the commentary, from Facebook, then I’m going to discuss some harsh truths that are the 900-pound guerrilla in the room (see what I did there?).

"So, I saw this come across my FB feed today, from Sam. I’m going to address it, because there’s a whole bunch of fucking stupid in the comments. Since I’m reasonably certain some of those commenters are also subscribers here, it will probably be wasted effort, but I’m willing to give it a shot....

Comment on Sam’s page: ’Battlefield pickup: Plan for it. Make sure your people know how to clear them, get them into duffle bags, and into your supply channels to be re-issued as necessary. You may keep ammo as needed to replace expenditures, but the rest goes to the S4 for caching and resupply.’

My response: While technically about the closest thing to a legitimate response I saw, this is ridiculously optimistic. In all of the classes I’ve taught, over the last half-decade plus of teaching through the MG blog, including the auxiliary and support classes, nobody—NOBODY—has even come close to having anything near an organizational footprint that this answer would matter too...except the Left.

Comment on Sam’s page: ’This is what I have been chatting with some friends about for a few months. Particularly the myopic ones who don’t understand that the hapless morons will eventually be armed and given some level of training to escalate their own surge. Arming these ppl is not the next move, but it’s not far off.’

My response: Dunning-Kruger much? "Hapless morons?" These "hapless morons" are off their fucking couches, engaging in the physical violence that the Right yammered about for the last eight years, without doing fuck all. I’m not condoning it, and certainly not supporting it, but intellectual dishonesty about skill at organization, and willingness to engage in violent direct-action is going to get a whole fuckton of "prepared militias" killed dead...and there ain’t no fucking restart to this game.

Comment on Sam’s page: ’They maybe (sic) psychologically conditioning the left for kinetic operations, but it takes years to build capability and capacity. They maybe (sic) ten years out if they started today.’

My response: Bullshit. They could go hardcore tomorrow, and be effective, at least for some time. They’ve got organizational infrastructure in place. They’ve got leadership cadre and numbers. They’ve got the will to get violent, right now. What they don’t have is their puppet masters handing them guns and ammo...yet. Sam’s right. It’s an ugly potential that is probably not far off. Ten years? You’re fucking dreaming.

I’m afraid that the Black Bloc-ers have had guns and training for years — probably decades. See here for our collection of articles on the John Brown Gun Club, a.k.a. Redneck Revolt, which bills itself as Antifa’s armed wing and has 40 or so chapters across the United States. And they are just one of the American Black Bloc groups that have been arming and training for The Revolution. Then there are those who join our military to learn tactics and strategy, or even, like Spenser Rapone, go through our military academies.

#2  It is naive to think the left isn't arming itself. They had shootouts in Portland a few years ago.
They are already organized and armed. The armed BLM follow the protesters for security, without engaging in the protest. Occasionally the wrong dude gets a gun and there is a shooting.
Whether that changes is a the big question.

Fifth Column
Who funds Antifa protests? We all do
[NYPOST] Last week, the city of Philadelphia agreed to pay $9.25 million to 343 left-wing protesters who alleged they suffered "physical and emotional injuries" when police used tear gas and pepper spray to clear them off a major highway in downtown at a Black Lives Matter
...An organization allied with Antifa
...the armed wing of the Democratic Party...
with the goal of the overthrough of the nation as we know it....
-style direct action in 2020.

Videos recorded at the time showed the mob shut down the highway while vandalizing public property.

As a journalist who reports on the krazed killer far-left and its rioters, the question I’m asked most often is, "Who funds them?"

Some believe billionaire George Soros
...either Ernst Stavro Blofeld or Auric Goldfinger come true...
is responsible.

And they would be partially correct. Soros funds groups that form part of the support apparatus of left-wing bandidos forces of Evil — district attorneys, biased media and legal groups.

But his money doesn’t directly reach the pockets of bandidos forces of Evil on the street.

Who ends up paying far-left rioters like Antifa? Too often, taxpayers like you and me.

Through a developed network of radical leftist legal groups, like the National Lawyers Guild, lawfare against cities and police departments is the go-to method for payloads. At nearly every left-wing "direct action" or riot, you’ll see NLG "legal observers" move in and out with the mob to record police. This "evidence gathering" is propaganda made to portray the police in the worst possible light while specifically omitting any recordings of what their comrades do.

Biden's nominee to head the FAA makes 'remarkable' decision to withdraw his nomination: 'Decency to resign'
Follow up to this story from yesterday.
[FoxNews] 'The Big Sunday Show' panelists discuss Biden's FAA nominee Phil Washington withdrawing his name from consideration after he struggled to answer basic questions during a Senate Commerce Committee.

"The Big Sunday Show" co-hosts Lisa Boothe, Charlie Hurt, Kat Timpf and Griff Jenkins reacted to reports President Biden’s pick to head the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Phil Washington, had withdrawn his nomination. The group agreed that the most remarkable thing about Washington's withdrawal was that he had the "decency to resign."

"He is the CEO of Denver International Airport. I can't think of what's scarier, the fact that he was the pick for the FAA or that he's the CEO of the Denver International Airport, and he knows nothing about aviation," Boothe said.

Timpf stated that it’s not uncommon for people in government to make decisions without proper knowledge.

"I mean, how many people just an easy example would want to ban AR-15s who think it stands for ‘Assault Rifle 15,’ and they have no problem taking away rights from other people when they have no idea what they're even talking about," Timpf said.

Hurt made the case that this is why "crazed ideologues" should not be in charge of things that matter, like transportation.

"This is why you don't put crazed ideologues in charge of things that actually matter. You know, they're great in a classroom setting where they can sort of, you know, spur debate and have conversation, but when you actually have to get planeloads or busloads or trainloads of people safely from one place to another, you're dealing with real things like physics and gravity and all of the things that can lead to disastrous results if these people are picking people based on their crazed ideology," Hurt said.

Jenkins echoed the sentiments of the group and pointed out that "political patronage" is often put before experience.

"And in fact, with Mr. Washington, he had no prior aviation experience before 2021 when he became the CEO of Denver and so it's this political patronage rather than being there," Jenkins said.

According to Boothe, the news of Washington's withdrawal comes at a time when there have been an alarming number of near-misses and plane crashes at U.S. airports.

"This comes at a time when there's been a lot of near-misses, plane crashes as well. I mean, they've increased substantially since the Trump administration. I think something by 39, there have been 39 near airplane misses under the Biden administration, up 77% from the Trump administration," Boothe said.

Boothe also questioned why Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is more concerned with diversity in the transportation sector rather than safety.

"I mean, Charlie you get the Biden administration, you know they're checking those diversity boxes. But as we pointed out, I mean, there have been potential plane crashes where people will die. So isn't that what they should care about?" Boothe asked.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Will Russia be able to reconcile Syria and Saudi Arabia?
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] Unlike Turkey or Qatar, the fate of the Syrian opposition or the creation of a transitional executive body is not so important for Saudi Arabia, despite declarations and statements. At the current stage, as before the start of the civil war, Iranian influence in Syria and Lebanon remains a fundamental issue for Riyadh.

Saudi and Syrian officials say the countries are moving closer to an agreement to restore diplomatic ties after talks brokered by Russia. In particular, the issue of resuming the work of the Saudi Consulate General in the SAR and Syria's participation in the League of Arab States (LAS) is being discussed in essence. A decision on these issues can be made after the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which falls at the end of April.
