You're right that we have two articles on the subject, Thrusomble Wittlesbach3867, and I appreciate you catching that -- Rantburg really is a team project. :-) But Fred's is a news article, while this is a blog post opinion piece. I thought the different approaches worth exploring for our readers -- for once it is actually deliberate instead of accidental duplication.

Duke has completely capitulated to political correctness, diversity, and multiculturalism...and somewhere along the line most likely Muslim money. If I were a Duke student, I'd be looking for another school to attend--maybe Hillsdale.

Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, a likely 2016 Republican presidential candidate, will give a major foreign policy address next week in London. According to early excerpts of the address, Jindal will use the speech to bash Hillary Clinton, the likely 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, and to go after radical Islam in wake of last week's Paris terrorist attacks.
..."Now, lets talk very directly about the elephant in the room that is, allow me to discuss the recent horrific events in France.
"I will warn you in advance that Im going to say some things that are not politically correct, so brace yourselves.
"To be clear, I have no interest in defaming any religion, nor do I have any interest in assigning the maniacal acts of radical Islamists to millions of Muslims worldwide.
"Im interested only in dealing with reality and facts.
"And the fact is that radical Islamists do not believe in freedom or common decency nor are they willing to accommodate it in any way and anywhere.
"We need to stop pretending otherwise.
"We are fools to pretend otherwise. How many Muslims in this world agree with these radicals? I have no idea, I hope it is a small minority.
"But it is clear that far too many do, and it is clear that they must be stopped.

"And the fact is that radical Islamists do not believe in freedom or common decency nor are they willing to accommodate it in any way and anywhere."
The OIC consensus, mainstream political Islam does not believe in freedom or common decency nor are they willing to accommodate it in any way and anywhere.
This is the current observable political reality in OIC countries.
The OIC has officially declared its unwillingness to accommodate free and open societies in the Western World.
The OIC says 'No!' to peaceful coexistence.
Jindal is acknowledging the elephant's shadow. This is a step forward. Who will be the first politician to talk about the actual elephant?

Good point EH. I would like to see him use many quotes made by "main stream Muslims" like Chowderhead to hi-lite this. That would get him closer to the elephant than its shadow.

Governor of Louisiana and future possible VP maybe? Don't want to be in the position of future diplomatic embarrassment that the VP couldn't/wouldn't attend a state funeral in London because he was 'blacklisted' now. It's one thing to ignore Paris, its another to be on record saying you're not welcome.
