I’m especially intrigued by the statue of a naked woman in the coils of a snake. Hasn’t anyone in New Orleans read Genesis? They never heard of Eve and the serpent? Is Eve’s disobedience to God, egged on by the serpent, something that they want to "celebrate"? I don’t see how it could be anything else.
And a kids’ crayon company choosing to "embrace transgender"—why in the world did they do that? Why does a news network concoct a completely false coverage of an election that hasn’t even been held yet? Why make anyone pretend to be for "gay pride," when they find the message morally revolting? And why carry on like the country’s in deep trouble and only widespread abortion can save it?

tw: The statue of Robert E Lee was mounted on a tall column in, not surprisingly, Lee Circle near downtown New Orleans. It was taken down several years ago, and not replaced -- there is just a column with an empty plinth. The article implies that the modern statuary sits on top of the column -- not so. It is off to the side and, as I understand it, temporary. More to the point, the article accuses New Orleanians of being religious primitives unaware of the book of Genesis. While New Orleans certainly has its share of non-believers and its share of downright evil people, on the whole New Orleans is one of the most thoroughly Judeo-Christian cities in the country, as exemplified by the great Touro Synagogue on St. Charles Avenue, and of course St. Louis Cathedral, which is part of the picture postcard view of New Orleans.

I can understand why, for a while, some thought we were crazy. [American Greatness] The U.S. Army has met only 40 percent of its 2022 recruiting goals.
In fact, all branches of the military are facing historic resistance to their current recruiting efforts. If some solution is not found quickly, the armed forces will radically shrink or be forced to lower standards—or both.
Such a crisis occurs importunely as an aggressive Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea believe the Biden Administration and the Pentagon have lost traditional U.S. deterrence.

In 2021, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute conducted its periodic poll of attitudes toward the U.S. military. The result was astonishing. Currently, only 45 percent of Americans polled expressed a great deal of trust in their armed forces. Confidence had dived 25 points since an early 2018 poll.
Military officials cite both the usual and a new array of challenges in finding suitable young soldiers—drug use, gang affiliation, physical and mental incapacities, and the dislocations arising from the COVID pandemic and vaccination mandates. But they are too quiet about why such supposedly longer-term obstacles suddenly coalesced in 2022—as if their own leadership and policies have had no effect in discouraging tens of thousands of young men and women to join them.

[NYPost] Protesters burned an American flag and a Bible in Portland, Oregon, sparking outrage just as weeks of violent demonstrations seemed to be coming to a close.
For more than 60 days, Black Lives Matter demonstrators, including a “Wall of Moms” and a “Wall of Vets,” have clashed with federal agents in the city, drawing national attention as authorities blasted marchers with tear gas and the civilians at times responded with weapons of their own — such as feces, bleach, bricks or batteries.
Friday night’s demonstrations were largely peaceful, appearing to mark a break from the chaos as federal agents made a recent deal to allow local authorities to handle the protests.
But just after midnight, marchers were caught on video using the flag and holy book as kindling for bonfires lit outside the federal courthouse, which has been a focal point of rioting after the death of George Floyd in police custody in May, according to a news report.
“Left-wing activists bring a stack of Bibles to burn in front of the federal courthouse in Portland,” claimed Ian Miles Cheong on Twitter Saturday.
The post featured a video that showed protesters with “Black Lives Matter” signs tossing Bibles into a raging bonfire. The video, which has gone viral, had more than 1.8 million views and thousands of retweets.
“Now we move to the book burning phase,” said Donald Trump Jr. in a tweet Saturday. “I’m pretty sure ANTIFA doesn’t actually stand for what they say it stands for. Maybe just remove the anti part of [their] name and it’s perfect,” he wrote.
The fire was later put out by members of Moms United for Black Lives Matter, who doused the flames with bottles of water and stomped on the embers, according to KOIN 6, a local CBS affiliate television station in Portland.

The Covid policy has led to a poor employment rate across the country. The unemployment rate for the 16-24 age- group climbed to a record 19.3% last month. This ratio is far higher than what it is in the United States, Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... or Japan.
The observers warn there is little sign of the pandemic ending in the country any time soon. Far from it. As of July 15, there were still 31 cities under full or partial lockdown. Epidemiologists have predicted there may be a wave of at least 10 new variants of the virus in the country.
The situation is alarming. Recently, over 20 provincial-level regions have announced increase in locally transmitted cases. Chengdu in Sichuan has reduced public access to 'confined spaces' in the city. Lanzhou in Gansu has extended restrictions on movement in most districts. A highly radicalised person associated with a terror group was arrested by the Bengaluru police on Sunday night. The arrest of Akthar Hussain Lashkar, a resident of Assam, led to the arrest of his associate Zubair from Salem in Tamil Nadu.
The police said that Hussain who was working as a food delivery executive was using his job to understand the topography of the city. He was also in the process of setting up meetings to plan attacks in Karnataka. Now that the Tamil Nadu angle has come up, the police will work closely with the central agencies as there are inter-state ramifications to this case.
The arrest comes just a month after the arrest of Talib Hussain a member of the Hizbul Mujahideen ...Party of Holy Warriors, founded by Muhammad Ahsan Dar in September 1989. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... with his wife and children after the hunt for him had intensified.
Hussain had taken shelter in a mosque in the city and would deliver sermons during the Friday prayers.
In 2019 when the National Investigation Agency (NIA) probed a case relating to the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen, Bangladesh (JMB) it had found that Bengaluru had become a happy hunting ground for these terrorists.
Links between the operatives of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala were not uncommon and a pattern was found. Operatives would come in from the north- eastern states after infiltrating from Bangladesh. They would come into the southern states, mingle with the migrant population including the Rohingya Moslems and then overstay in the southern states with a larger agenda of carrying out terror attacks.
In August 2019, one Ejaz Ahmed alias Taufique Raza, the emir of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen, Bangladesh was arrested. His team had persons outside Bengal and even set up modules in Bihar, Karnataka and Kerala. He had mainly targeted migrant labour in these places and roped several of them into the module, officials, part of the investigation, also said.
A statistic of 2013 showed that there were around 2.5 million migrant workers in Kerala. Most persons were eager to take in the migrants colonists for work as the labour costs in Kerala is too high.
On 16 March 2017, the Kerala police arrested seven Bangladeshi nationals employed at a plywood factory and charged them with illegal immigration. This is just one of the many cases that was reported from Kerala over the years where several lakhs of Bangladeshis live illegally.
It becomes important to discuss the Kerala scenario in the wake of an Intelligence Bureau report stating that there would be more influx of illegal immigrants colonists into South India after the NRC was published by the Assam government. There are already reports that suggest that the touts in Kerala are already active and would look to facilitate the entry of more such persons into the state.
Officials tell OneIndia that the route into south India would be through Kerala, following which attempts would be made to infiltrate into the other southern states such as Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. They would be brought in as estate labour like has been done in the past, officials say.
Data with the Ministry for Home Affairs states that Kerala has issued nearly 62,000 registration cards to migrant workers. Moreover no real effort has gone in to sort out the illegal immigrants colonists including Rohingyas from the migrants colonists, officials in the Home Ministry say.
