Trudeau Denies Having Ever Seen Report on China Funding Political Candidates
[Breitbart] Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has denied seeing an alleged report that claimed up to eleven candidates in the last federal election may have received money from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Prime Minister Trudeau has denied that he was ever briefed on allegations that the CCP funded candidates in the 2019 election, making his statement on the matter at the Francophonie Summit in Tunisia over the weekend.

"Let me be clear, I do not have any information, nor have I been briefed on any federal candidates receiving any money from China," the Canadian Prime Minister said, broadcaster CBC reports.

The statement comes after a report from earlier this month by Canadian broadcaster Global News which claimed Trudeau had been briefed by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) on attempts by the CCP to influence Canadian politics, including funnelling cash to candidates in the 2019 election.

...and if anyone tries to brief me on such matters I've been instructed to turn them away. BTW, will someone find out who keeps texting me that photoshopped Tiananmen 'tank man' image ?

Government Corruption
Texas Dems Look for the Silver Lining
[Longview News Journal from Dallas Morning News] High-ranking Texas Democrats have sought to numb acute pain from a drubbing they took in this month’s midterm election by accentuating the positive.
Yeah, man, we won big in California!
Predictions of a GOP "wave election" didn’t come true, they note. For the most part, Democrats fended off a nationally funded, much-publicized Republican incursion in South Texas — traditionally, a Democratic stronghold. Also, Democrats posted notable wins in some of the state’s big urban and suburban counties, such as Harris, Dallas and Collin.
The Blue cities get bluer; I'm not sure what they won in suburban Collin County (north of Dallas).
Still, momentum from Democrats’ bravura performance in the previous midterm, 2018, has ebbed with each of the past two general elections in Texas.

Some Democrats are asking hard questions about whether the party’s latest statewide slate was too male and white, its messages too stilted and its structures obsolescent.
I think you're on to something there - double down!
Some also want to demand more electioneering and resource-sharing by longtime Democratic members of Congress and the Legislature. While their coffers have swelled in seats that are safe because of GOP redistricting gerrymanders, they need to be prodded and shamed into campaigning and giving money to other Democrats on the ballot, critics say.
How much was gifted to Beto - Nacho governor?
"The undeniable fact is that we’re not built for statewide victory," said Ali Zaidi, who managed the lieutenant governor campaign of Houston businessman Mike Collier. Two-term Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick defeated him by 10.4 percentage points.
As my wife loves to point out, he's been under indictment since before the last election.
"We are at risk of becoming a party in search of relevance," Zaidi said.
Speaking of relevance...
In 2018, then-Democratic congressman Beto O’Rourke lost to U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz by almost 2.6 percentage points. In 2020, successful Democratic challenger Joe Biden lost Texas to then-President Donald Trump by nearly 5.6 percentage points. Earlier this month, though, O’Rourke lost the governor’s race to Gov. Greg Abbott by 11.
Beto said - "Send your money to help me turn Texas Blue!"
State Democratic Chairman Gilberto Hinojosa, nonetheless, points to long-term trend lines and insists his party is posting steady gains.

Either way, it was stolen $$$$ and should be returned to the RIGHTFUL owners.

Frank Fang (no relation) - 'Redo The Arizona Election' Says Trump, Pointing To Voting Issues In Maricopa County
[ZERO] "This Election was a disgrace," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social on Nov. 22. "They should at minimum redo the Arizona Election," Trump added, pointing to the memo written by attorney Mark Sonnenklar, who was one of 11 roving attorneys working with the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) Election Integrity program in Maricopa County.

According to the memo, 72 of the 115 voting centers the attorneys visited, or 62.61 percent, witnessed "material problems."

The long lines negatively affected GOP candidates on election day, according to the memo.

"Because Republican voters significantly outnumbered Democrat voters in the county on election day, such voter suppression would necessarily impact the vote tallies for Republican candidates much more than the vote tallies for Democrat candidates," Sonnenklar added.

Additionally, Sonnenklar disputed claims by county officials that printer/tabulator problems were resolved as of 3 p.m. local time and their impact was "insignificant."

"Collectively, I and the other 10 roving attorneys also reported that voters had to wait in significant lines at 59 of the 115 vote centers we visited (51.3 percent). In many cases, voters had to wait 1-2 hours before they received a ballot for voting," Sonnenklar wrote.

Trump condemned for dining with white supremacist Nick Fuentes
[TheGuardian] Democrats, anti-racist groups and some Republicans criticize president for meeting Fuentes at dinner with Kanye West

Democrats, anti-racist groups and some Republicans have condemned Donald Trump for having a dinner with American white supremacist and anti-semite Nick Fuentes after details of their encounter at the former US president’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida emerged.

The meeting is the latest in a long line of incidents involving the former US president and the far right, including once referencing the Proud Boys in a presidential debate and his comments that there were “very fine people on both sides” after 2017 clashes at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, that left one anti-fascist protester dead.

Trump has admitted he met Fuentes – who is open about his extreme racist and anti-semitic views on his podcast – during a dinner with Kanye West, the rapper now known as Ye. Trump said he did not know Fuentes was going to be present at the dinner and had no idea who he was. “[Ye] unexpectedly showed up with three of his friends, whom I knew nothing about,” Trump said.

One person present at the dinner, however, said that Trump was impressed by Fuentes. “He was impressed with Nick and his knowledge of Trump World. Nick knew people and figures and speeches and rallies and what surrounded the Trump culture, particularly when it came to the base,” Karen Giorno, a former Trump aide and senior adviser, told the Washington Post.

The meeting was roundly condemned.

Jonathan Greenblatt, the chief executive of the Anti-Defamation League which campaigns against bigotry and antisemitism, condemned Trump’s meeting with Fuentes and expressed shock at the development.

“Nick Fuentes is among the most prominent and unapologetic antisemites in the country,” Greenblatt told the New York Times. “He’s a vicious bigot and known Holocaust denier who has been condemned by leading figures from both political parties here.”

Democrats joined in the criticism. Democratic National Committee spokesperson Ammar Moussa said in a statement that the move should see Trump – who recently announced a 2024 White House run – barred from representing the Republican party.

“If it was any other party, breaking bread with Nick Fuentes would be instantly disqualifying for Trump. The most extreme views have found a home in today’s Maga Republican party,” Moussa said.

Some Republicans too joined in the chorus of condemnation.

“This is just another example of an awful lack of judgment from Donald Trump, which, combined with his past poor judgments, make him an untenable general election candidate for the Republican party in 2024,” said Chris Christie, a former governor of New Jersey, who may also run in 2024 and has become a critic of Trump, despite being a close former ally.

David Friedman, who served as Trump’s ambassador to Israel, tweeted disapproval of the meeting with both Fuentes and Ye, who has also recently made antisemitic comments that have seen him lose a raft of valuable corporate endorsements.

“Even a social visit from an antisemite like Kanye West and human scum like Nick Fuentes is unacceptable. I urge you to throw those bums out, disavow them and relegate them to the dustbin of history where they belong,” Friedman tweeted.

Matt Brooks, executive director of the Republican Jewish Coalition, also slammed Trump.

“We strongly condemn the virulent antisemitism of Kanye West and Nick Fuentes and call on all political leaders to reject their messages of hate and refuse to meet with them,” Brooks told the Washington Post.

The republic is long over and isn't going to make a reappearance till all the power and money is drained from the Swamp. Till then you better find an effective tribal leader to protect your ass from the other tribes. You're not going to find such a leader among the wishy washy GOP who still play as though the old game was still going on. You are not going to get perfect. Better find someone that is just good enough. You might start with someone who actually delivers and worry about niceties later.

#6  ^ A pragmatic outlook with which i wholeheartedly agree. Unfortunately, a significant proportion of even GOP voters get their political directives from People Magazine, so a guy who has dinner with holocaust deniers and antisemites can't wave it away with "I didn't know..."

#8  As others have pointed out, the most glaring accusation about this dinner is that clearly Trump has no competent staff.

It also makes me question his security. Don't they screen his visitors because he is an assassination target of the IRGC for Suleimani?

I am personal friends of one of Trump's initial inner circle...oh, they have warned him and warned him in the past, he will not be controlled. Trump doesn't care and does what he pleases...that makes him a populist I guess, but he also intentionally exposes himself to backstabbers and political carnies...Trump's instincts are terrible and he doesn't seem to learn. He is like a combination of Julius Caesar and Nero that will not die...although the number of wounds in his back are taking its toll.

#10  Guilt by association is a Democrat attack that never works against them. Biden has met with BLM terrorists and there wasn't the firing squad here to scream about that. Bryd was a KKK Grand Kleagle. I see no point in worrying about this because we know Trump has nothing to do with them. Dem's were having dinner with Arafat all the time. Enough is enough and people need to learn that a picture or dinner does not indicate alliance and collusion.

#13  Sorry. Pointing out that there's a double standard and then ignoring the fact that this double standard will apply to Trump (and not just with dems and the media) is like inviting unsavory people to have dinner with you and then saying "I didn't know," that is to say, d u m b.

#14  My limited experience of significant leaders as a member of inner circles has taught me that they all have some levels hubris, and quirks, and a certain confident arrogance that accompanies great successes. Many are blind to the impact of their faults, and most did not have legions of highly-motivated, ruthless enemies with a huge megaphone to exaggerate perceived and actual faults. To an extent, great success overcomes petty foibles and mutes criticism.

In the public forum of political discourse and media manipulation is one most powerful, virtually unspoken fact. Demokrats use fear as an effective tool. In recent times, not just the denial of access, but now, money, and the power of lawfare, IRS audits, and the risk of judicial process bankruptcy, a la Flynn, Stone and Giuliani.

As Trump faces the headwinds of 2024, all these tools are coming into focus.

Anytime they pull this crap we need to laugh in their face and reply "At least it wasn't Arafat". You cannot change their minds because they don't have one. Instead, mock them and make whatever they say worthless because it IS worthless.

Republicans will never win as long as they give a crap about what democrats claim to think or what they say.
