Google Withdraws As Host Of Democratic Fundraising Event
[DAILYCALLER] Google was set to rent out its D.C. headquarters to a progressive group running a fundraiser for top Senate Democrats, but canceled it Friday just days before.

The group "Run For Something" cultivates up-and-coming Democrats for all levels of government. Its event, "Party For Something," was supposed to occur June 6 at a location only disclosed if tickets ($100 to $1,000) were purchased.

"Important note! Confirmation of the date, time, and venue will be in your donation receipt," reads the website, which also says "Location available upon RSVP" elsewhere. "No need to print anything; just check in with ID when you arrive."

The venue likely shows up as something different now since Google confirmed to The Daily Caller News Foundation that the event was occurring at its offices in the nation’s capital, and subsequently that it was canceled since leadership had allegedly just become aware.

"June 6th: Games, drinks and building the bench with Senators Elizabeth Fauxchahontas Warren
...Dem Senatrix from Massachussetts, who traces her noble lineage all the way back to Big Chief Spouting Bull. It has been alleged that she speaks with forked tongue but she denies that...
, Kirsten Gillibrand & Cory Booker!!" the invite states at the top. "Why? Because Run For Something set a goal of recruiting 50,000 new voices this year to run for office ‐ and you want to help make it happen."

Google representatives declined to comment on the record about the situation, and if TheDCNF’s inquiry brought it to their attention or was the ultimate reason for the cancellation. Google, like many other large, deep-pocketed companies, often rents out its spaces for events, even those political. The tech giant itself has hosted gatherings that cater to or are organized by conservatives and Republicans, but there is little to no evidence of past fundraisers.

Partner organizations of Run For Something include the Democratic Senate Campaign Fund, House Democratic Campaign Committee, Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, Emily’s List, Pantsuit Nation, Onward Together, Opportunity First, She Should Run, Swing Left, Texas Democrats, and Young Democrats of America, among several others on the left end of the political spectrum.

#4  I still do not get it about Obama. There really is no proof of his above average intelligence or accomplishments. Sure he reads well from a TelePrompTer but he does not appear well read or known as a critical thinker or have a long (or short) list of significant accomplishments prior to being elected. I suspect if his grades or papers from college had any indication of above average they would of been published long ago.

The left falls into a repeated trap of accepting the message delivery as accomplishment. Is affordable healthcare available post Obamacare? Did borrowing over a trillion a year during the obama years yet growing the economy less than 1/2 trillion a year really digging us out of deep recession? Did creating instability after the surge in Iraq by Bush really get us out of the war?..... I could go on. History was much better to Reagan after he left office and I suspect the opposite for obama; particularly with early and fast successes with Trump. The left is softly admitting Trump success by trying to give Obama credit for the economic growth.

#5  The left is softly admitting Trump success by trying to give Obama credit for the economic growth.

I'm having trouble getting this (i.e., honest) explanation from lefties - how come the economy went gangbusters once he left office? If you're giving Obama credit for what's happening now, doesn't that defy logic?

#7  I got Obama on day 1.

He was the perfect candidate for the SJW audience.
A narcissist of the first order in complete command of MSM due to the color of his skin.

The prototypical Chicago pol-frontman. He's not the brains of the outfit he's only the pretty face.

This column and the comments are complete validation that the proggie elites just think they are so much better than the plebs exactly like the European aristocracy of the middle-ages that they long to be.

Obama was too good for us in the same way, in hindsight, Jimmy Carter was too good for us.

#13  A couple of slams aimed at the Biggest Loser Of All Time -

He pushed aside his loyal vice president, who was considered an unguided missile, and backed a woman who had no economic message and who almost used the slogan, “Because It’s Her Turn.”

Obama was well aware during the campaign that his chosen heir sometimes seemed to be phoning it in. Campaigning together in Charlotte, he was nonplused to find out that Hillary had quickly slipped out of a barbecue joint while the president was left on his own...

Poor fellow. Maybe she slipped and fell out of the place?

Obama to headline DCCC fundraiser with Pelosi, Eshoo: Report
[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] The former president will appear alongside House Minority Leader Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi
Congresswoman-for-Life from the San Francisco Bay Area, born into a family of professional politicians. Formerly Speaker of the House, but it's not her fault they lost. Really. Noted for her heavily botoxed grimace...
and Rep. Anna Eshoo
...Democratic Congresswomen-for-Life from Caliphornia, representing Silicon Valley. She began her career as chairman of the San Mateo Democratic Party in 1978, and was first elected to Congress in 1993. When she leaves she'll probably be carried out...
, D-Calif., at the June 29 event, which will be hosted by Liz Simons and Mark Heising at their house in Atherton, Calif., according to Politico.

"I am delighted and honored to have President Obama back in my congressional district later this month," Eshoo said in a statement to the Washington Examiner. "We miss him."

Tickets to the fundraiser start at $10,000.

Donors who contribute $237,300 per couple will receive a VIP clutch and photo opportunity. Additionally, they'll land preferred seating at the event and invitations to an annual weekend in Napa Valley hosted by Pelosi and an issues conference in August, according to Politico.

The DCCC fundraiser will be held the day after Obama appears at the Democratic National Committee fundraiser in Los Angeles on June 28, Politico reported.

Tickets to that event range from $2,700 to $100,000.

Obama is popular among Democratic voters in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,, and his events there come as the party seeks to take back control of the House and Senate in the 2018 midterm elections.

The former president helped raise money for the DNC last year with a fundraiser in Washington, D.C., and has endorsed several Democrats running in the upcoming elections, including Sen. Dianne Feinstein
...Dem Senator-for-Life from Caliphornica. She has been a politician since about the time she was weaned. Feinstein was the author of the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban, and tried it a second time in 2012. Feinstein has chaired the Select Committee on Intelligence since 2009. At age 80, Feinstein is the oldest currently serving United States Senator....
, D-Calif.

SOURCES: Trey Gowdy Blocked Investigation Into The FBI
[BigLeaguePolitics] Top-level people in the world of intelligence and independent journalism report that House Oversight chairman Trey Gowdy effectively blocked investigations into the FBI spying on the President Donald Trump campaign.

This is not the first time Gowdy, who endorsed Marco Rubio in the presidential primaries, has shut down an investigation on behalf of the establishment. But the fact that many traditional conservative outlets carry water and run interference for Gowdy, painting him as a hero, makes it harder to call Gowdy out.
Continues.

#3  ...I can't shake the feeling that there have already been some quiet meetings and understandings, that the IG report will always be 'just about to be released', that nothing and no one will ever be held responsible for the crimes committed against the Constitution.

And that we will go on and on, uncaring, until it's gone.

#10  I've always thought that Gowdy is auditioning for a high-level slot in the DOJ or FBI. He was a US Attorney in South Carolina.

#11  I have serious doubts.
When anonymous sources from within the intelligence community start making claims about those investigating them it just seems rotten.

#12  He cant really investigate until the IG report comes out. He has seen what the IG is doing, they must be on track.
