All news media outlets need to be reformed. Severe financial punishment must be done for reporting incorrect info or not reporting at all. Also to be clear on what is news and what is commentary, correcting contributors that lie immediately not allowing false statements to stand. Not sure how this could be enforced but this needs to be looked at.
Trump's interview on CNN I hope opened the eyes of many Democrats that only watch CNN for news. It's possible that we might not be so divided if they got all the news.

[Daily Caller] The FBI didn’t open any inquiry into an alleged Hillary Clinton campaign election interference plan even after the CIA director briefed then-president Barack Obama and other senior administration officials, Special Counsel John Durham’s report noted.
The FBI received Russian intelligence analysis in July 2016 alleging that Clinton’s campaign cooked up a scheme to divert attention away from "her use of a private email server," the Durham report stated.
The alleged scheme, dubbed the "Clinton Plan," showed that the Clinton campaign "had approved a campaign plan to stir up a scandal" against Trump "by tying him to Putin and the Russians’ hacking of the Democratic National Committee," the Durham report reads.
The intelligence community didn’t know the accuracy of the Russian intelligence, but the findings were notable enough for then-CIA Director John Brennan to inform the Obama administration "within days" of learning about it.
Brennan briefed President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Attorney General Loretta Lynch and FBI Director James Comey about the Clinton campaign’s plan, the Durham report says.
The findings also prompted the CIA to send "a formal written referral memorandum" to Comey and "the Deputy Assistant Director of the FBl’s Counterintelligence Division, Peter Strzok, for their consideration and action."

People, you might think our country is in trouble, and it is. But if some of these people were half way competent in their execution of these schemes, if they weren't as corrupt as they are, we'd be completely without hope. They do a lot of damage as it is but they keep making mistakes and their schemes are half baked at best. The Steele Dossier? Are you kidding me? Did anybody ever believe a single word of it? And then there is Joe Biden who, if he was subjected to an honest press conference, he would suffer a complete melt down. If these people didn't have the mainstream media covering for them and a DOJ that is corrupt as hell, they'd all be in jail by now.

[NYPOST] Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz demanded that the FBI be defunded and its agents criminally indicted after a report found that the bureau lacked evidence to launch an investigation into former President Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia in 2016.
Trump-era special counsel John Durham on Monday produced a 300-page report summing up his four-year review of the FBI’s actions, which found that the agency rushed into its investigation, relied too heavily on raw and unconfirmed intelligence, and "willfully ignored" or rationalized away information that did not support its collusion theory.
Gaetz, a staunch Trump ally, ripped into the bureau following the release of the report, which he touted in a tweet as an "absolutely DAMNING treatise on the weaponization of the FBI against President Trump."
During an interview on Newsmax Monday night, Gaetz accused the FBI of becoming "the enforcement wing of the Democratic Party ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy,white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... to play offense against Trump," and argued that the agency should face harsh consequences for its wrongdoings.
"I think we have to deauthorize, defang and defund many of these authorities and entities and different task forces that actually converted the just and righteous act of protecting our country with the desire to have a particular political candidate win or lose," the politician said.

Summary: The FBI was in a political rushed to open the initial investigation based on rumored ,unverified, innuendos from Australia sources, according to the report.
The FBI's investigation was based on lame evidence, at based, that was used as the premise for the Trump probe. Many source indicate the investigative foundation and process used was a clear departure from how the FBI treated other politically sensitive investigations in 2016.
An example being the inquiry into the Clinton Foundation, which was halted and frozen going into the 2016 lead up to Election Day.

The stall strategy was the Mueller investigation; they would have made it last for the entire Trump presidency if possible. Based on what we saw in their one prosecution and the other case of changing the Carter Page emails, there is no law or courts in DC to begin with other than the Kangaroo variety. The duration was probably caused by obstruction by everyone in government. The contents of the report was exactly what the DOJ did not want. I think it is legit.

several legit reasons why Durham Report delayed
- many, many people had to be interviewed, some multiple times
- documentation to support report was probably 100k individual items - some of which had to await declassification or redaction before being ingested into the investigation
- Durham wanted cooperation from witnesses and if fact needed such cooperation and it took months to negotiate terms of this cooperation
but having said all that, IMO, it still should have been completed at least a year ago

[NYPOST] The Republican chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee will move to hold Secretary of State Antony Blinken in contempt for his refusal to comply with subpoenas for information about the Biden administration’s botched 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas), 61, will introduce a contempt charge against Blinken on May 24, which could set up a likely party-line House vote as early as June, a spokeswoman for the committee told The Post.
"The American people, particularly veterans and gold star families, deserve answers on how the Afghanistan withdrawal went so catastrophically wrong," McCaul said in a statement.
"The July 2021 dissent cable from Kabul by 23 officials expressing dire concern over the Biden administration’s policy and the department’s official response are key evidence."

[NYPOST] The Senate voted Tuesday to nullify a soft-on-crime bill introduced by Washington, DC, council members that would have changed rules governing use of force and officer misconduct — the second time in recent weeks Congress has overridden district politicians on public safety legislation.The upper chamber voted 56-43 to repeal the Comprehensive Policing and Justice Reform Amendment Act of 2022, which the DC Council passed in December.
Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Jon Tester of Montana, Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire, Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada, Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire and Jacky Rosen of Nevada all voted for the repeal, along with independents Angus King of Maine and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona.
Manchin, Tester, Rosen, King and Sinema are up for re-election in 2024.
The White House said in April that President Biden would veto the bill if it reached his desk.

The bill is sort of a puppet show. I don’t think that the low level Dems playing bi-partisan in this case are fooling any of their constituents. Manchin looks like he is positioning himself to step into the presidential race once Biden is out. I can’t make heads or tails of Sinema’s plan. If she participates in the Dem primary, her moves make sense. If she is running third party, the Dem vote will split.

[NYPOST] Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Monday signed legislation that bans state and federal funding for diversity, equity and inclusion programs at state colleges and universities.
DeSantis signed the new law during a ceremony at New College of Florida in Sarasota, where earlier this year he appointed six new members to the school’s board of trustees in an effort to move the institution in a more conservative ideological direction.
"Florida has ranked number one in higher education for seven years in a row, and by signing this legislation we are ensuring that Florida’s institutions encourage diversity of thought, civil discourse, and the pursuit of truth for generations to come," DeSantis said at the bill signing.
"Florida is taking a stand for empowering students, parents, and educators to focus on creating opportunities for our younger generations. I am happy to have worked with the legislature to get this important legislation signed, sealed, and delivered."
According to the governor, the new law will "prevent woke ideologies from continuing to coopt our state universities and state colleges."
"This bill says the whole experiment with DEI is coming to an end in the state of Florida. We are eliminating the DEI programs," DeSantis said Monday, characterizing the controversial initiatives as discriminatory.

Kathy Hochul’s favorability fell to its "worst-ever" rating after a tough to start to 2023 that included a late budget — and New Yorkers are of mixed minds when it comes to whether she is a "strong" or "effective" leader, according to a new Siena College poll. They voted for her, they'll vote for her again. They deserve her.
"While voters think that the recently passed budget and many of its specifics will be good for New York, at the same time they also give Hochul her worst-ever favorability rating — the first time it’s been underwater," Siena pollster Steven Greenberg said.
According to the May poll of 810 registered voters, 45% of New Yorkers have an unfavorable opinion of Hochul compared to 40% who view her favorably, a notable change from a month ago when respondents were evenly split at 43%.
Voters were also evenly split about whether Hochul is a "strong" leader, with 40% saying she is and the same amount declaring she is not.
Forty-nine percent of those polled believe Hochul is "out of touch" with average New Yorkers, compared to just 31% who chose she "is not out of touch."
The findings come after a bruising few months for the newly-elected Hochul, which included a late budget and the historical rejection of her pick to lead New York’s top court.

[FoxNews] President Joe Biden vetoed a bipartisan resolution Tuesday that would have reversed his executive action last year in which he ordered the Department of Commerce not to enforce tariffs on Chinese solar panel manufacturers for two years.
Biden explained that the legislation, which recently passed the House and Senate with Democrat support, "bets against American innovation." Last year, Biden implemented the 24-month moratorium on the enforcement of solar panel anti-circumvention tariffs designed to protect U.S. companies, a move the White House said would facilitate investment in domestic solar panel production capabilities.
"Passage of this resolution bets against American innovation," Biden said in a statement Tuesday. "It would undermine these efforts and create deep uncertainty for American businesses and workers in the solar industry. Therefore, I am vetoing this resolution."
Biden added that he doesn't "intend to" extend the tariff suspension when the 24-month moratorium expires in June 2024.
