Will Viktor Orban Bring Down the House That Davos Built? (Elections Today)
[GoldGoatsGuns] Today Hungarians go to the polls to decide their future. What they may not realize is that they also are deciding on the future of most of the European continent in the process.

Sitting Prime Minister Viktor Orban is vying for his fourth term in office, having been in power for 12 years and he is under intense opposition from within and without. It’s an open secret that Orban is reviled in Brussels.

And because of his basic sense of common decency and nationalism that means he must be removed from office in order to ensure the full consolidation of power with the European Commission and European Council.

That only happens with his removal and a Brussels-centric puppet controlled by George Soros and the Davos Crowd put in his place. There is a real sense of desperation surrounding this bid to remove Orban.

The formation of a ridiculous Not-Orban coalition of no less than six parties, none of whom would piss in each other’s mouths if their throats were on fire, is pure desperation. It is the apotheosis of the Davos strategy to put in power weak coalitions that can be torn apart at the seams but whose members are also so enamored with being in power they won’t collapse the government as popular opinion turns against them.

This is how Davos engineered Mario Draghi’s takeover in Italy. Five Star Movement cut a deal with the Democrats to oust Lega despite the polls being completely against the idea of such a government after Matteo Salvini pulled out of his coalition with Five Star back in 2019.

Germany’s ‘Traffic Light’ coalition members have almost nothing in common but in no way will you see the FDP, for example, pull out of it with their sinking poll numbers, now just 8%, even though they could. Instead, we see Finance Minister and FDP leader Christian Lindner doing exactly what he was put in power to do, gum up the financial works and prep the stage for the transference of Germany’s power within the EU to the EU.

But all of that unravels if Orban is free for another four years to veto every stupid and belligerent idea that comes out of the European Council. Hungary is already under financing sanctions from the EU over their anti-LGBT laws, threatening to block distributions from the EU budget.

The EU have already gotten the Poles to knuckle under because the Poles are dependent on Germany for gas flows thanks to their own intransigence in cutting deals with Russia for energy.

Hungary, on the other hand, has energy independence from Brussels by having contracted directly with Gazprom for natural gas via Turkstream’s train that goes into Serbia and Hungary. This should give you some context as to why the EU is trying to sanction Serbia and cut off the flows of that pipeline where it crosses EU territory in Bulgaria.

#1  From the ZH link to the above. I guess the cheating operation will have to kick into overdrive now.

Update (1600ET): Much to the chagrin of the elites - as detailed below - Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s party took a commanding lead in Hungarian elections, according to an early count that appeared to dim the chances of a six-party opposition alliance to block him from a fourth consecutive term.

With 36% of the votes counted, mostly from rural districts that are the core of Orban’s support base, his Fidesz party was leading a six-party opposition alliance 58% to 30% on Sunday in the party list vote.

It was also tipped to win a large majority of the electoral districts that may give it close to a two-thirds parliamentary majority.

“We expect a clear victory,” Cabinet Minister Gergely Gulyas told reporters.

#2  A later count continues the trend, from the Times of Israel:

With 63 percent of the votes counted, Orban’s Fidesz party had gained 55.16% of the vote versus 33.09% for the six-party opposition coalition in the national party list vote which determines 93 seats out of the 199-seat chamber.

Fidesz also enjoys a clear lead in the results for individual constituencies, which determine the rest of the seats.

Woot!

#4  Update (1700ET): AFP reports that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban claimed a "great victory" in Sunday's general election, as partial results gave his Fidesz party the lead.

Addressing a jubilant crowd chanting his name, Orban said:

"We have won a great victory -- a victory so great you can perhaps see it from the moon and certainly from Brussels".

An elite Ukrainian drone unit on quad bikes ambushed Russian forces, helping to defeat Putin's plan to capture Kyiv, report says
[Bus Insider] Night ambushes carried out by a team of Ukrainian special forces and drone operators on quad bikes have helped turn the tide of the Russian invasion, The Guardian reported.

Aerorozvidka is a specialist air-reconnaissance unit within the Ukrainian army, which has claimed to have destroyed dozens of Russian "priority targets," including tanks and command trucks.

The unit's commander, Lt Col Yaroslav Honchar, told The Guardian about an ambush near the Ukrainian town of Ivankiv, which helped stop a 40-mile mechanized Russian column heading to attack the capital Kyiv.

Equipped with night-vision goggles, sniper rifles, and remotely detonated mines and drones, the team of about 30 Ukrainian soldiers approached Russian forces by riding on quad bikes through forests under cover of night.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Sacramento shooting: At least six dead in centre of California state capital
[BBC] At least six people have been killed and 10 injured in a shooting in the centre of Sacramento, police in California's state capital say.

People fled through the streets after automatic gunfire rang out in an area packed with restaurants and bars in the early hours of Sunday.

Police nearby responded to the gunfire and came across a "very large crowd", police chief Katherine Lester said.

No suspect is yet in custody in the wake of the shootings.

"This is a really tragic situation," Chief Lester said.

The officer said investigators had arrived at the scene and urged the public to come forward with any information that might help identify those responsible.

The shooting took place at around 02:00 (09:00 GMT) in an area at 10th Street and K that leads to the Golden One Center, where the Sacramento Kings play basketball.
Do we know anything about that neighbourhood beyond lots of bars and restaurants?
It is also only a few streets from the state Capitol building.

Community activist Barry Accius arrived at the scene at about 02:30 after a city council member called him about the shooting, he told ABC affiliate station KXTV.
Why would a local politician call him in particular?
"It was just horrific," he said. "Just as soon as I walked up you saw a chaotic scene, police all over the place, victims with blood all over their bodies, folks screaming, folks crying, people going, 'Where is my brother?' Mothers crying and trying to identify who their child was."

#10  1 Block from our old office building for Homeland Security, and only two blocks from the state capitol. Sacramento Bee had it vaguely linked to a Rapper Event a few blocks further downtown. 2am, and not description of the victims beyond one relative named Letitia, and photos of the wounded that were being removed. There is a video of an apparent major fight in the area involving 10-15 young men and it appears to be an Hispanic-African-American fray. My guess is the report of automatic weapons fire might have been a follow-on to that event.

#15  Finally, an update from the Times of Israel liveblog:

Sacramento’s police chief says there were multiple shooters in the mass shooting that killed six people and injured 12.
Police Chief Kathy Lester also tells reporters Sunday that three of the victims who died were women and three were men. She said all were adults.

The shots were fired early Sunday morning as people filed out of bars and nightclubs. A video posted to Twitter showed people running through the street amid the sounds of rapid gunfire.

The Bitter End: Christmas Eve 2024 With the Bidens
[AMGREATNESS] The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there. Alas, all of that hosiery contained nothing but coal.In Dickensian lingo, it had been the "worst of times" since Senile Joe the Imposter entered the White House and, by 2024, it was all coming to its long-awaited, bitter end.

Unlike King Midas of ancient lore, Biden turned everything he touched to rubble. There was nothing he did not literally "f-ck up," to use the crude Obamian vernacular.

Santa Claus was not jolly. In fact, he mostly stopped coming to town a few years back as things got bad, then worse. The misery index was at an all-time high and the dollar was worth less and less.

Nikolaev-Kherson direction at the moment
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Chervonec001] The Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to assemble a shock group in the front-line residents to launch a counterattack in the direction of Kherson. The Russian Armed Forces are able to detect these actions and deliver artillery strikes against any enemy concentrations. Mi-6 reported to the Ukrainian General Staff that the RF Armed Forces began to accumulate military equipment in Kherson, to strike at Nikolaev. Over the past ten days, the number of Russian troops has tripled.

Meanwhile, the Internet is being pulled to Kherson and Melitopol from the Crimea. The fiber optic cable will connect Ukrainian territories to Russian providers with access to Russian services. This is a sign that no one is going to leave the future Tauride region.

Pentagon Says There's No ‘Offensive' Bioweapons at US-Linked Ukraine Labs
[Antiwar.com] US officials have said the labs could contain pathogens leftover from the Soviet Union's bioweapons program

A Pentagon official told Congress on Friday that there are no "offensive" biological weapons in any of the dozens of US-linked labs in Ukraine.

"I can say to you unequivocally there are no offensive biologic weapons in the Ukraine laboratories that the United States has been involved with," Deborah Rosenbaum, the assistant secretary of defense for nuclear, chemical, and biological defense programs, told the House Armed Services subcommittee.

The Pentagon funds labs in Ukraine through its Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). According to a Pentagon fact sheet released last month, since 2005, the US has "invested" $200 million in "supporting 46 Ukrainian laboratories, health facilities, and diagnostic sites."

Moscow has accused Ukraine of conducting an emergency clean-up of a secret Pentagon-funded biological weapons program when Russia invaded. The World Health Organization said it advised Ukraine to destroy "high-threat pathogens" around the time of the invasion.

For their part, the US maintains that the program in Ukraine and other former Soviet states is meant to reduce the threat of biological weapons left over from the Soviet Union. While downplaying the threat of the labs, Pentagon officials have also warned that they could still contain Soviet-era bioweapons.

Robert Pope, the director of the DTRA’s Cooperative Threat Reduction Program, told the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists in February that the labs might contain Soviet bioweapons and warned that the fighting in Ukraine could lead to the release of a dangerous pathogen.

The Biden administration has tried to portray any concerns about the labs as "Russian propaganda." When the issue gained more media attention, Biden officials started accusing Moscow of plotting to use chemical or biological weapons, but the US hasn’t presented any evidence to back up its claims.

1. Why, after 17 years of US involvement and funding are we just now learning about this project ?

2. Under what line-item in the DTRA and DoD budget is this effort listed ?

3. Who specifically is in charge of monitoring, reporting, and safeguards ?

4. What period of time does the "$200 million" in funding cover? Is this a monthly, annual, or life of the current program investment ?

5. Is this project a 'stand-alone' project or is it linked to similar CDC and NIH domestic or overseas efforts ?

6. Prior to recent discoveries, has anyone in House or Senate committees been briefed on this 17 year effort ?

7. Is this a DoD Special Access Program ?

8. Besides the DTRA, what other US Government Agencies are involved or provide assistance (financial or otherwise) to this project ?

9. Is this project a 'bi-lateral' project involving other countries? If so, what other countries ?

10. Have specimines or bacterial pathogens from the Ukraine effort been transported to the US or other locations outside of Ukraine ?

11. Have specimines or bacterial pathogens from the US or other nations been transported to the Ukraine ?

12. It would appear the Congress has initiated an investigation of these activities. Who is in charge of the investigation and what is the timeline? Will classified or unclassified reports be forthcoming ?

#4  "No Offensive weapon" ???? Is it just a defensive weapon? Or are they just researching unto supporting a bio war? A bullet in a gun is not offensive, its defensive, defending the person carrying the gun. Nuke weapons are a defensive weapon. This is just more of the pentagon talking out its ass!

"Pentagon Says There's No ‘Offensive' Bioweapons at US-Linked Ukraine Labs"

Where did we hear this before?
Didn't we hear pretty much the same carefully worded denial about the WUHAN Virus (aka Covid-19) from the same talking heads?

Offensive use versus Defensive use is a political dance around.

EG. I own a firearm that can used offensively or defensively depending on the situation.

Any weapon is no different.

#6  I can smell the stench of the "lawyerly denial" from way over here.

"I can say to you unequivocally there are no offensive biologic weapons...

But there *is* some seriously nasty shit you can use to brew one up

... in the Ukraine laboratories that the United States has been involved with,"

We do this sort of work thru cutouts - like contractors and foreign governments. Our hands are clean.
Posted by: SteveS || 04/03/2022 10:32 Comments || Top||

#7  There is a difference between having bioweapons and offensive bioweapons. Most labs will not transport the samples and have the military and civilian detection equipment shipped to them to verify it works, how well and what needs tweaked. They may also test antibody kits as well.

An offensive weapon means it has been weaponized, i.e. stabilized and put in a suspended state like a powder or such, loaded into a delivery device and ready for deployment.

Now all that being said given the government's track record on being honest what they have been doing with shit like this, looking at you China and Fauchi, I trust their collective asses as far as I can throw them.

#10  I suggest an offensive bioweapon would be contagious (Smallpox) whereas a defensive bioweapon would be deployed in an exposure environment for individual consumption (Anthrax).

For example, the Chernobyl Russians were individually irradiated in an exposure environment but could still contaminate others. Is this offensive or defensive?

#13  I studied Chem, Nuke and Bio weapons at a Navy school. Bio was puzzling to me. The countermeasure wash down system would have been the response to a spray, but attacking a destroyer with a crop duster seemed to be unlikely at the time. Poisoning the crew seemed like a possibility, but we were libel to do that ourselves. Enhancing and releasing a general plague to randomly depopulate the world seemed like it would serve no one, yet here we are. I was a naive young man.

What Is The ‘Great Reset’ And What Do The Globalists Actually Want?
[Alt-Market.US] I first heard the phrase "Great Reset" way back in 2014. Christine Lagarde, who was head of the IMF at the time, was suddenly becoming very vocal about global centralization. It was an agenda that was generally only whispered about in the dark corners of institutional white papers and the secretive meetings of banking elites, but now these people were becoming rather loud about it.

Lagarde was doing a Q&A at the World Economic Forum and the notion of the "Reset" was very deliberately brought up; what the project entailed was vague, but the basic root of it was a dramatic shift away from the current economic, social and political models of the world into a globally centralized and integrated system — A "New World Order," if you will...

It’s important to remember that we had just jumped through the fires of an international credit collapse which started in 2008 and had continued to cause uncertainty in markets for years. The central banks had dumped tens of trillions of dollars worth of stimulus into the system just to keep it on life support. Some of us in the alternative media believed that these actions were not meant to save the economy, only zombify the economy through currency devaluation and inflation. Not long down the road, this zombie creation would turn on us and try to eat us alive, and only the central bankers new exactly when this would occur.

Think of the crash of 2008 as Stage 1 of the Reset agenda; the globalists were getting cocky and were ready to unveil their plans to the public.

Lagarde’s discussion at the WEF was also held around the time that Klaus Schwab was introducing his 4th Industrial Revolution concept, which is a little more forward with what the globalists really want. He talks excitedly of a true "global society" and a world in which people turn to Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a better means of governance. He even suggests that laws would eventually be dictated by AI and that courts would be run by robots.
This explains in part Elon Musk’s concerns about AI...
Of course, he admits that this cannot happen without a period of economic deconstruction in which people and governments will have to choose between sacrifice for the sake of stability or continued pain in the name of holding on to the "old ways." Look at it this way: The Great Reset is the action or the chaos, and the 4th Industrial Revolution is the intended result or planned "order." That is to say, it’s a new order created out of engineered chaos.

Palm Springs, California City Approves Program to Give Trans & Non-Binary Residents Guaranteed Income
[PJ Media] Have you noticed it’s becoming harder to differentiate satire from reality? When I first saw the headline about a city in California approving a program to provide transgender and nonbinary residents a guaranteed income, I was sure it had to be from the Babylon Bee.

Oh, but it’s not. It’s also not an April Fool’s joke. It is very much accurate. Earlier this week, the Palm Springs City Council voted unanimously to fund a pilot program that would guarantee a basic income for transgender and nonbinary residents.

So far, $200,000 has been allocated for this program, which is far less than the $900,000 the two organizations originally wanted but still just as insane.

Guaranteed income programs distribute these funds with no strings attached.

According to David Brinkman, CEO and president of DAP Health, one of the organizations behind the pilot program, transgender people are "one of the most marginalized populations in our city who face some of the highest levels of housing insecurity, joblessness and discrimination."

According to a report from the Desert Sun, the two organizations behind this program say it will "provide between $600 and $900 a month to 20 people who live, work or otherwise spend the majority of their time in Palm Springs."

I’m not exactly sure what $900 a month in Palm Springs even gets you. Does it even cover the cost of gas per month?

"The pilot would also include another 20 transgender and non-binary people who would not receive the money and services but would serve as a control group with the intention of determining the degree to which the payments and services are beneficial," the report added.

So what happens if this program takes off and gets even more funding? Will trans and non-binary people be able to move to Palm Springs and get free cash? If that’s the case, what are the criteria for proving you are, in fact, trans or non-binary if it’s all in your head? Could anyone move to Palm Springs, claim to have preferred pronouns that don’t match their biology, and be entitled to $900 a month?

Secret intelligence has unusually public role in Ukraine war
LONDON (AP) — The war in Ukraine is the conflict where spies came in from the cold and took center stage.

Since Russia invaded its neighbor in late February, intelligence agencies in the U.S. and Britain have been remarkably willing to go public with their secret intelligence assessments of what is happening on the battlefield — and inside the Kremlin.

The U.S. this week declassified intelligence findings claiming Russian President Vladimir Putin is being misinformed about his military’s poor performance in Ukraine by advisers scared to tell him the truth. On Thursday a British spy chief said demoralized Russian troops were refusing to carry out orders and sabotaging their own equipment.

Jeremy Fleming, who heads Britain’s electronic intelligence agency GCHQ, made the comments in a public speech where he said the "pace and scale" at which secret intelligence is being released "really is unprecedented."

Mark Galeotti, a Russia expert at University College London, agreed that the very public intelligence campaign "reflects the fact that we now live in a different age, politically and internationally. And this is a different kind of war."

Member of Islamic Jihad cell boasted he planned ‘something very big in Israel’ — TV
[IsraelTimes] Report says Saif Abu Libdeh, one of 3 button men killed in overnight raid, was on Shin Bet’s radar since firing at troops along seam line

A member of the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
cell killed during a raid by Israeli security forces early Saturday had been on the Shin Bet’s radar since firing at troops in the West Bank earlier this week, Israeli television reported.

Saif Abu Libdeh, a 25-year-old resident of Tulkarm, fired over 50 bullets at IDF troops patrolling along the so-called seam line on Tuesday, according to Channel 12 news. No soldiers were hurt.

The network said the Shin Bet has been on Abu Libdeh’s tail since and tracked him during a rally Friday in Jenin, where he appeared armed with an M-16 rifle.

"Soon you’ll hear about me," he allegedly said. "I’m going to do something very big in Israel."

The unsourced report said security officials believe he intended to carry out a killing spree similar to the recent terror attacks in Beersheba, Hadera, and Bnei Brak, in which 11 people were killed in total.

Two other suspects — Khalil Twalba, 24, from Jenin, and Saeb Abahara, 30, from nearby the village of Yamun — were killed during the shootout with Israeli forces, which left four officers maimed, including one seriously.

A fourth suspecter member of the cell was arrested Saturday in the Paleostinian town of Shuweika, near the West Bank city of Tulkarem.

The Israel Defense Forces later released video showing troops surrounding the suspect’s home before he attempted to flee. The military said an M-16 rifle and ammunition were seized during the raid.

Officials have said the cell was on its way to carry out an attack in Israel at the time of the arrest operation. Ahead of a meeting Saturday evening with top Shin Bet officials, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said security forces foiled a "ticking time bomb."

"We certainly assume there will be many more attempts and we are working right now to prevent them," Bennett said.

In response to the recent attacks, Israeli security forces have been placed on heightened alert, with reinforcements sent to the West Bank, seam line, and major cities. The escalation has come as the Moslem holy month of Ramadan began — often a period of high tension in Israel and the West Bank.

Four Palestinians arrested in Damascus Gate clashes on tense first night of Ramadan
The news is that there's so little news, especially after the past week.
[IsraelTimes] Rioting far less widespread than last year, as holy month kicks off against backdrop of terror wave

Police arrested four Paleostinians during festivities on Saturday night at the Damascus Gate of Jerusalem’s Old City on a tense first night of Ramadan.

Nonetheless, officers managed to contain the small group of young, male rioters using far less force than last year, when police cleared thousands of people from the Damascus Gate on a regular basis during the Islamic holy month.

Much of last year’s Ramadan festivities were sparked over the police’s ban on crowding at the Damascus Gate. This year, officers did not set up divider fences around the area to limit gathering, and most officers kept their distance from the plaza and its steps, where thousands of revelers were perched intermittently throughout the evening.

The night began with a festive ambiance, as food vendors sold traditional sweets and clowns put on a performance for children, sponsored by the municipality. But as the night progressed, the atmosphere intensified.

A number of young Paleostinian men began chanting nationalist slogans and threw bottles at the police checkpost at the top of the Damascus Gate steps, law enforcement said. But rather than scattering the entire crowd with riot dispersal measures as they did last Ramadan, officers were more targeted in their response.

Later in the evening, a suspect set off fireworks in the direction of police and another torched a garbage can, leading to further festivities.

[IsraelTimes] Subterranean southern Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. Security Expert To Joe Rogan: "Government Wins From A Frightened Population ‐ All The Time" (VIDEO)
[Gateway] Security Expert Gavin de Becker just warned that people should question when the government is telling them to fear something.

He noted that tyrannical governments have used the smear of "false news" to shut down dissent many times in the past:

"King Charles in the 1600s banned coffee houses. Why? Because coffee houses were places where people gathered together and talked and they’d be a little amped up...he put out a proclamation. I’m quoting it here. Restrain the spreading of false news and licentious talking of matters of state and government...he does another proclamation saying the spreaders of false news or promoters of anything malicious against the state will be considered seditious."

Bill Gates Threw Millions at New Technology of Under-Skin Nanoparticle QR Code, to be Scanned by Smartphones
[Gateway] Last year it was revealed that Pentagon scientists working in a secretive united created a microchip to be inserted underneath the skin, that can detect Covid-19 before the body exhibits symptoms.

60 Minutes interviewed retired Colonel Matt Hepburn, an army infectious disease physician, who spent years with the secretive defense advanced research projects agency or DARPA, working on technology he hopes will ensure COVID-19 is the last pandemic.

"Dr. Hepburn showed us a few current projects, some sound like they’re from an episode of "Star Trek." Consider a ship like the USS Theodore Roosevelt — hobbled last year when 1,271 crew members tested positive for the coronavirus. What if everyone on board had their health monitored with this subdermal implant, now in late-stage testing. It’s not some dreaded government microchip to track your every move, but a tissue-like gel engineered to continuously test your blood," 60 Minutes host Bill Whitaker said.

Dr. Hepburn told 60 Minutes that the microchip is like a "check engine light."

Climate change may mean more extreme rain after wildfire in western US
[New Scientist] The risk of extreme rainfall in areas that have recently experienced wildfires may increase significantly by the end of the century in the western United States, if greenhouse gas emissions continue to rise unabated.
"Or drought. We're not sure. Either way, it'll be EXTREME!!11!"
"In many places in the western US, we experience a lot of natural disasters," says Samantha Stevenson at the University of California, Santa Barbara. "Some of the most important ones are wildfires, many of which have burned through California and other western states recently. We also have rainstorms that can lead to devastating floods. Climate change has been known to amplify both these things."

Following wildfires, there is a higher risk of landslides and flash floods for several years in the burned area because it takes time for the ground cover and vegetation that was once there to regrow. Heavy rainfall can trigger these events.

Stevenson and her colleagues decided to study how often these extreme rainfall events will occur following a wildfire over the coming decades. The team ran simulations of the climate in the western US, under the most extreme warming scenario — in which greenhouse gases continue to be emitted uncapped.

The Democrats have a pedo problem
[American Thinker] Progressives have a pedophilia problem. Full stop, as the Barack Obamas of the world might say. From CNN producers to Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) station chiefs and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) field agents; from the woke Disney corporation to Democrat donors; from Hollywood to the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA); from Facebook/Meta to the Lincoln Project to America's public school system — the progressive Left has a demonstrated prurient interest in underage children.

This is not guilt by association, innuendo, or conjecture; it is a firmly established fact pattern. And this is not to suggest that no Republicans have ever espoused or committed similar atrocities against children; extremely rare countervailing exceptions like Republican Dennis Hastert (who, unlike Democrats, was actually imprisoned in part for his crimes of child molestation) prove the rule that many Democrats have a strong affinity for pedophilia and the normalization of the same.

Empirically and factually, an overwhelming majority of public figures who are confirmed and aspiring pedophiles (along with pedo-friendly corporations like Disney) are progressive Democrats in terms of political orientation. All of this is hushed up by our progressive media, and thanks to progressive privilege, virtually nobody is ever prosecuted or punished.

Why is it never a national scandal when Democrats routinely prey on young children? Simple — because the progressive media protect Democrats far better than Rome's Praetorian guard ever protected any of the Caesars.

If Jeffrey Epstein's client roster had been chock-full of identifiable Republicans (instead of Democrats from Bill Clinton to Bill Gates to Bill Richardson — we knew nothing!), or if FOX News producers were outed as skeevy pedo perverts, the earsplitting cacophony from the media would be maximally amped with hysterical shrieks of sustained, collective outrage.

Moreover, if the progressive Epstein had instead been a prominent conservative donor and activist, he would've been rightly imprisoned decades ago. Perhaps he would even be alive today rather than conveniently dead.

Getting off your arse fights depression, improves one's mood
[Science Alert] There's no longer any doubt that exercise can be a serious mood booster for people with major depressive disorder. Even an hour of physical activity a week can be enough to reduce the risk of future episodes.

Surprisingly, little is known about the more immediate effects of exercise on specific characteristics of both mood and mind among people with depression, both during an exercise session and straight after.

"A lot of previous research on the effects of exercise on mental health, in general, have used very broad measures of wellbeing," says Iowa State University kinesiologist Jacob Meyer.

"What we were interested in, specifically, is: how does acute exercise — that is, one session of exercise in a day — influence the primary symptoms of depression."

Chronic forms of depression consist of a variety of mental changes that make it more than just a feeling of glumness. For many, there's the sheer loss of enjoyment and pleasure that comes with depressive episodes — a symptom referred to as anhedonia.

Then there's the disorder's relationship with impaired cognitive functions, including memory loss and processing speed, which may also benefit from exercise.

To add detail to our knowledge of how a workout influences changes in both mood and mental skills, Meyer and colleagues analyzed various test scores of 30 volunteers before, during, and after either a moderately intense half-hour cycling session, or a session of quiet rest.

Taiwan's ‘silicon shield': Why island may not be the next Ukraine
[Aljazeera] Taipei, Taiwan — Since Russia invaded Ukraine, Taiwan’s security has been on the lips of policymakers and analysts the world over, amid predictions China could one day follow Moscow’s lead and attempt to take over the island nation.

Both Taiwan and Ukraine are young democracies, whose national identity and political independence face the threat of aggression from a neighbouring superpower.

Taiwan, however, has a little-discussed secret weapon that Ukraine did not have — a dominance in manufacturing semiconductors that some analysts say could prove crucial in deterring an invasion by Beijing.

An invasion of Taiwan could trigger unprecedented global economic fallout due to the island’s position as arguably the most vulnerable single point of failure in the technology value chain.

Taipei’s "silicon shield" makes the stakes especially high for China. While Chinese President Xi Jinping has pledged to reclaim the self-ruled island by force if necessary, Beijing relies heavily on Taiwanese technology to power key industries that it is banking on to double its gross domestic product (GDP) by 2035.

"Taiwan’s integrated deterrence strategy must keep this stark choice between national objectives for Beijing clear," Jared McKinney, a scholar at Air University, told Al Jazeera. "Either conquer Taiwan or maintain economic prosperity."

"A question delayed is an invasion denied," McKinney said.

#1  Taiwan would do well to completely disregard American 'experts'. They should keep their fingers crossed and butts clenched. And if possible develop a nuclear deterrent.

The only thing keeping China from invading them is a lack of courage and the nagging doubt that the world itches for payback for COVID, the smiling faces at the WHO notwithstanding.

#2  I wonder if there is a significant day in history for China to think it was time to move on Taiwan. The Arab world thinks this way perhaps China does as well. All the bluster and posturing of China must serve some future purpose. This is an obsession with China as strong an obsession shown by Putin. All neighbors hold China at arms length. They can never be trusted. Even among their own people they prefer countries where they don't compete with their own people.

Look around the American Southwest and you'll notice East Asian chip manufacturers are building new plants in New Mexico and Texas. Possibly a coincidence, probably insurance.

Approaching 2 year anniversary of key Intelligence Community COVID finding
[Just the News - 30 April 2020] The Office of the Director of National Intelligence said Thursday that the U.S. intelligence community has concluded that the COVID-19 virus was "not man-made or genetically modified" in China.

However, the office, which oversees the country’s network of spy agencies and advises the president on such matters, said it will continue to "rigorously examine emerging information and intelligence" to determine whether the outbreak began through human contact with infected animals or was the result of an accident at a laboratory in Wuhan, China.

The office also said the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusion is in line with "wide scientific consensus" on how the deadly virus started.
Emphasis added. Failed confidence levels assumed.

Late-term babies killed in abortion found in DC
[American Thinker] On Thursday, March 31, police in Washington, D.C. found the remains of five children in the home of an anti-abortion activist. According to Live Action, one of the largest organizations against abortion in the U.S., the activist in possession of the fetal remains "voluntarily informed the D.C. homicide unit of the babies and surrendered them to authorities."

Photos of these children quickly went viral, and many conservatives were shocked. The oldest child, a little boy, appeared to be entirely intact, and he was so developed that he is indistinguishable from a newborn. According to the assessment of Dr. Kathi Aultman, a former abortionist turned anti-abortion advocate, the little boy "[a]ppears to be in the 3rd trimester, near term and looks like he should have been in the nursery."
He is totally intact, but his skin is somewhat macerated. ... In other words, it has begun to degenerate, which would indicate that he was probably dead when he was aborted, or he was not well preserved, and his tissues began to deteriorate after the abortion. He appears to be completely normal and was probably aborted using the induction method, which uses medication to induce labor. He looks about the same size as my granddaughter when she was born.

A second victim, a little girl estimated to have been between 28 and 30 weeks old at the time of her death, showed evidence of extensive trauma, with deep gashes to the back of her neck, indicating she may have been killed in a partial-birth abortion. From Live Action:
One of the baby girls could be seen with her right eye open, significant damage to her head, and with the rest of her body relatively intact. Footage shows her curled in the fetal position with pinkish-tan skin as her lifeless, half-open eye looks into the distance.
Although these photographs don't entirely express the reality of abortion, they are an accurate representation. Pictures can't capture the smell of a small body being dismembered, or the kicks of a child after he's had his first limb torn off, but they can show that abortion is an act of murder. If anyone is caught off guard by the evidence, then he hasn't been paying attention.

According to the Guttmacher Institute, the research arm of the abortion industry, in the U.S. in 2017, there were 862,000 abortions. Around 1% of those abortions are extremely late-term, meaning they occurred after 21 weeks of gestation. (For reference, in 2020, little Curtis Means was born in Alabama at 21 weeks and one day and is now a healthy toddler.) Doing the math, that means that every year, around 8,620 abortions are performed on late-term babies — or around 22 a day.

What happened to the children in D.C. is not an anomaly; it is a daily occurrence. The gruesomeness of abortion is purposely hidden behind the sterile walls of medical offices, but that's no excuse. Abortion is child sacrifice, and it must end.

Pictures never lie or do they?. Visible proof far more believable. They will vilify her and attack her for showing the truth. Legal action far more aggressive than that directed at an abortion clinic.

Cyber
Google Says They Will Demonetize Websites Which Report 'Ukraine is Attacking its Own Citizens'
[GatewayPundit] Far-left Google censored President Trump for years pushing hit pieces on the 45th President to the top of their search results. Google frequently censored top conservative websites like The Gateway Pundit and news broke that Google-YouTube censored and removed over a million videos on Covid-19.

Last August, Google demonetized The Gateway Pundit from their ad network. The Gateway Pundit is one of the top 200 websites in America today, according to Alexa ranking.

Now, the far-left company warned more publishers that they will demonetize any websites that "imply victims are responsible for their own tragedy or similar instances of victim-blaming, such as claims that Ukraine is committing genocide or deliberately attacking its own citizens."

Google also indicated that it may also demonetize for other reasons including talking about Nazi aspects of Azov Battalion.

One article titled "Winning ’hearts’ and PR war, but Ukraine has a "Nazi" problem that NATO and USA do not talk about" published in OpIndia was demonetized.

“The article doesn’t blame the people of Ukraine or justify the war in Ukraine in any way, but it just talks about some of the uncomfortable aspects of the conflict that many other people have also been pointing out i.e. presence of neo-Nazi elements in Ukraine’s establishment. Azov Battalion is one such element.

The war in Ukraine has also brought out how the big tech and social media companies could align themselves in international conflict and act as supernational entities.”
Censoring the truth about the Ukraine Nazis? Who else would do such a thing? It pretty much screams "evil".
They censor so many things, this is just one more. What search engine do you use, Omomolet Phutch9064? Where do you watch videos?

-Short Attention Span Theater-
German man got COVID jab 87 times — report
Something to ponder.
[DW] The man reportedly went to eastern German jab centers and got vaccinated up to three times a day. Authorities believe it was all as part of a scheme to sell vaccination passes to anti-vaxxers.

A German man is under investigation after authorities discovered he'd received the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
vaccine at least 87 times, the Freie Presse newspaper reported on Friday.

The report comes as Germany battles a wave of COVID-19 infections and struggles to raise its vaccination rates compared to other western European countries.

WHY DID HE GET THE JAB SO MANY TIMES?
According to information attained by the Frei Presse paper, the 61-year-old man visited several vaccination centers in the eastern German states of Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt.

The man is believed to have gotten the jab up to three times a day at different jab sites — logging 87 coronavirus vaccinations in the state of Saxony alone.

A staff member at a center in the city of Dresden grew suspicious when he recognized the man, a front man for the German Red Thingy, Kai Kranich, told the paper.

The next time he entered a vaccination center in the town of Eilenburg, outside of Leipzig, staff called the police and he was detained.

The German Red Thingy pressed charges against the man on suspicion of his involvement in selling vaccination passports. Criminal investigations are currently ongoing in the state of Saxony, with authorities in other German states also investigating the man.

It is unclear how many times the man actually received the coronavirus vaccine — but the number is expected to be higher than the 87 known jabs.

HOW DID HE GET AWAY WITH IT FOR SO LONG?
According to the report, each time the man entered a vaccination site, he would bring a new, blank vaccination document with him.

After getting the jab, he would remove the pages with the information about the vaccine batch numbers and sold them to vaccine opponents.

The man registered for the vaccination appointments using his own name and birthdate, but did not present his health insurance card at the appointments — which could have potentially flagged his actions sooner.

CALLS FOR VACCINE REGISTER FOR GERMANY
The case has also unveiled the gaps in Germany's health care system — where medical information is largely not digitized or centrally stored.

"A national vaccine register or a coronavirus vaccine register would have shed light on the case immediately," Knut Köhler, a spokesperson for the Saxony state medical association told the newspaper.

In Germany, over 75% of the eligible population are fully vaccinated, while around 58% have received a booster shot. The numbers are especially lagging in eastern German states, where the fully vaccinated rate lies at 64.5% in Saxony.

Germany's vaccination rate is far behind its western European neighbors, with Spain logging 85% fully vaccinated and Portugal reporting a rate of over 91%.

21:33 In Prague, the street where the Russian embassy is located has been renamed the street of Ukrainian Heroes.

21:28 Arakhamia said that Russia "orally" adopted the project proposed by Ukraine in Istanbul - with the exception of the issue of Crimea. Now Kyiv is waiting for Moscow to confirm its statements in the negotiations in writing.

He also said that negotiations are underway with China through diplomatic channels so that it becomes the country-guarantor of Ukraine, but with Beijing the issue "is less worked out than with other countries."

20:57 Peskov said that Russia would like to continue negotiations with Kiev in Belarus, but the Ukrainian side does not want this. He also stressed that Ukraine is not a friendly country of either Russia or Belarus. And the military potential of Ukraine, according to Peskov, "is practically destroyed during the "special operation" of the Russian Federation."

As for the negotiations with Kiev, they "are not going well, but the main thing is that they continue, the main thing is that hostilities in Ukraine stop through negotiations, and it does not matter on which platform these negotiations will take place," Peskov said.

20:49 As a result of a missile attack on Mirgorod, the runway and the infrastructure of the airfield were damaged, the fuel depot caught fire, the OVA said.

20:33 The entire Kiev region has been liberated from the invaders, said Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar.

According to her information, the captives are starved and not even given water.

According to preliminary data, there are no victims, the fire is being eliminated by the employees of the State Emergency Service, said the head of the Khmelnytsky OVA Serhiy Gamaly.

About 500 more servicemen of the 3rd motorized rifle division of the Russian Federation are in hospitals as a result of severe alcohol poisoning of unknown origin. The Russian command writes off these cases as so-called "non-combat losses."

19:06 Pope Francis speaks about the war in Ukraine: "Again, some dictator, unfortunately, entangled in anachronistic statements of nationalist interests, provokes and fuels conflicts, while ordinary people feel the need to build a future that will either be common or it won't exist at all.

At the same time, the city is tightening control over the sale of strong alcohol: if it is sold and drunk in public places, violators will be involved in community service.

17:10 Podolyak believes that sanctions against Russia are not enough: "In order to bring down the Russian economy and stop the killing of Ukrainians, either a direct embargo on all energy resources is needed, or an indirect embargo by closing ports for goods (85% of oil is tankers). Mali’s army says it has had killed 203 combatants in an operation in the center of Sahel state
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

The army said the March 23-31 military operation took place in Sahel’s Moura area - which it termed a "terrorist fiefdom."

Soldiers killed 203 krazed killers, arrested 51 people and seized large quantities of weapons, according to the army’s statement.

The announcement comes as numerous social media reports in Mali this week alleged that dozens of people, including civilians, had been killed in Moura.

The country has seen an apparent uptick in violence in recent weeks. The UN said on Friday that thousands of people fleeing fighting in Mali have arrived in Niger.

A day earlier, the peacekeeping mission Minusma said that security had "deteriorated considerably" in the border area with Burkina Faso

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Anthony Fauci: Americans Should Be Ready for Possibility of a ‘More Rigid Type of Restriction’
Good luck with that, buddy.
[Breitbart] Dr. Anthony Fauci over the weekend said Americans need to be “flexible enough to pivot” back to a world with restrictions in place — “more rigid” restrictions, specifically — due to the Chinese coronavirus.

Fauci has used recent media appearances to warn Americans that while trends appear to be going in the right direction, they need to be prepared to bring back coronavirus-era restrictions if public health officials deem it necessary. President Biden’s medical adviser made the same remark during an appearance on BBC’s Sunday Morning program as well, warning that people must be prepared for “a more rigid type of restriction.”

However, he said he does not want to use the word “lockdown” as it is too controversial.

“I don’t want to use the word ‘lockdown’ as that has a charged element to it, but I believe that we must keep our eye on the pattern of what we’re seeing with infections right now,” Fauci said, adding that “we need to be prepared for the possibility that we would have another variant that would come along and then things change.”

“And if we do get a variance that does give us an uptick in cases and hospitalization, we should be prepared and flexible enough to pivot towards going back – at least temporarily – to a more rigid type of restrictions, such as requiring masks indoors,” he said, echoing the sentiments he has offered over the past months.

“You can go ahead and continue to tiptoe towards normality, which is what we’re doing, but at the same time, be aware that you may have to reverse,” Fauci said earlier this month.

Fauci’s remarks on Sunday Morning come days after Hawaii became the final state in the nation to official lift its indoor mask mandate.

He appeared to make another flip flop over the weekend as well, as the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) director told WUSA9 that we have “actually gone beyond the pandemic phase and beyond the deceleration stage” in the pandemic, despite the fact that he said the world was just in the first phase of the pandemic mere months ago, in January 2022. What is more, last week Fauci told ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos we “have a way to go” in the pandemic:

...On the other hand, I wonder what the ultimate cost would have been had we actually done that for about three weeks - everybody stays home except for first responders; the Government pays everybody's salary, and the military delivers the food.

I suspect at the very least, it would have been cheaper and less painful than what we actually endured, and might have had better results.

Judge rejects Ghislaine Maxwell's bid for new trial
[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] A federal judge rejected a new trial for Ghislaine Maxwell, who argued her sex trafficking case was tainted after it was revealed that one juror did not disclose he was a victim of child sex abuse.

Judge Alison Nathan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York upheld Maxwell's conviction in a decision Friday.

"His failure to disclose his prior sexual abuse during the jury selection process was highly unfortunate, but not deliberate," Nathan wrote. "The Court further concludes that Juror 50 harbored no bias toward the Defendant and could serve as a fair and impartial juror."

Scotty David, whom the judge referred to as Juror 50, did not disclose the abuse he endured beforehand. All jurors were given a questionnaire before the trial began last winter.

Nathan said David's testimony proved "he was not biased and would not have been stricken" from the jury, "even if he had answered each question on the questionnaire accurately."

The hearing took place in March after news interviews in which David revealed the abuse he experienced in the past. He also reported that he told other jurors about his experience. Maxwell's lawyers attempted to delay Nathan's ruling until after a Paramount+ documentary was released because David makes an appearance.

Maxwell, 60, Jeffrey Want Some Candy, Little Girl? Epstein

He is a registered sex offender and made att least 17 out-of-court settlements with former members of his stable, with some cases still ongoing. 2011 court docs reveal that 21 email addresses and phone numbers for Bill Clinton and an aide were found in Epstein's electronic black book, and that Clinton frequently flew with Epstein on his private plane between 2002 to 2005. But really, they were probably just discussing finance or politix or something. While getting massaged. Then things got serious, Jeff was tossed in the slammer in New York and then he killed himself. Burqa clad terrorists of J&K: Facing heat from forces Lashkar plans re-launch of Dukhtareen-e-Tayiba
Follow up to this story from yesterday.
[OneIndia] A woman identified as Hasina Akhtar from Baramulla was arrested after she was caught on camera hurling a bomb at a CRPF camp while wearing a burqa.

The police learnt that she had come in contact with the pro-Pakistain Asiya Andrabi who is already in jail for her role in a terror funding case. Hasina was already under the scanner for posting posters of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba in Handwara in 2021.

The arrest of Hasina only shows that terror groups which are facing immense heat from the security forces are recruiting women to carry out terror attacks, an official tells OneIndia.

The plan to set up women wings in Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
to undertake acts of terror is not a new concept. In 2013 the Intelligence Bureau had warned that the Lashkar-e-Tayiba was training women forces of Evil to carry out strikes. An all woman terror module called the Dukhtareen-e-Tayiba had been launched in Pakistain and the inputs gathered by the Indian agencies suggested that these women could be used to launch attacks on Indian soil.

A similar wing of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen (Bangladesh) was also found. In these modules, women were asked specifically to prepare bombs. They would prepare the bombs in modules in Bengal and then transport them to Bangladesh.

The Dukhtareen-e-Tayiba floated by the Lashkar had trained around 70 women according to a report by the Intelligence Bureau. These women were being trained at Muzzafarabad and were all in the age group of 18 to 25.

The Dukhtareen-e-Tayiba, however, had roped in women only as fidayeens and none of them were being trained to be foot soldiers planting bombs. Each one of them were handpicked by the top brass of the Lashkar and trained.

Headed by Umi Ahmed the Dukhtareen-e-Tayiba has not been used to its full capacity as yet. This is a very key module for the Lashkar and it would be used first on a test basis on the border and later to launch strikes in India. For the Lashkar this is an important module and will give it the surprise element whenever it decides to launch it.

Hasina is part of the Laskhar's plans to further the women's module in Jammu and Kashmir. She is a 10 pass out from the Hanaifa School and had been arrested by the police in 2021. While in jail she had come in contact with Asiya Andrabi and after she came out on bail she worked as an over ground worker for the Lashkar-e-Tayiba.

"We have been noticing employing of women by terror group of late. Last year, two burka-clad women assisted forces of Evil in an attack on residential guard of a BJP worker in the outskirts of Srinagar city at Nowgam in which we lost one policeman. Some more such women are on police's radar and we have been handling with them professionally," Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar told news agency PTI.

US says it repatriated a Guantanamo Bay detainee to Algeria
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The United States has repatriated to Algeria a man who was held at Guantanamo Bay for nearly two decades after being accused of conspiring with al-Qaeda, the Department of Defense said on Saturday.

The department identified the man as Sufiyan Barhoumi,
...more formally Sufyian Ibn Muhammad Barhoumi, the one-handed, accused Al Qaeda bomb maker captured in Faisalabad with a group of other accused Al Qaeda henchmen in the company of accused Al Qaeda “travel agent” Zayn Abdeen al Husseini, a.k.a. Abu Zubaydah. Mr. Barhoumi set himself to learn fluent English and perfect his soccer striking skills while charming his guards with his mediation skills...
a native of Algeria, and said his detention at the US military base was "no longer necessary."

Barhoumi arrived at Guantanamo Bay in 2002, the year the base’s detention camp was set up following a US-led invasion of Afghanistan in pursuit of the al-Qaeda network behind attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people in New York, the Pentagon and rural Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001.

Interesting related Fact that Skidmark pointed out for us...

This claimed terrorist was held for 20 Years without a court trial for any crime.

Note: Stop and think about Jan. 6th handling tactics so far.

Under USA CONSTITUTIONAL LAW and I believe maybe even under UCMJ rules. Holding a person 20 years w/o trial is in direct violation of the Bill Of Rights 6th Amendment.
The Sixth Amendment in part guarantees the right of criminal defendants to a speedy public trial without unnecessary delay.

Note: Once again think of the 50+ Jan. 6th Prisoners being held for over 1 year now with no trial.

HUMAN RIGHT DETAILS ON THE GITMO ISSUE?

According to a Human Rights Group...(for what that's worth)
"Sufiyan Barhoumi: Charged in 2005 with conspiracy and material support, but the charges were dropped in 2006. He was charged again in 2008 with the same crimes, but these charges were dropped in 2009. Barhoumi was cleared for transfer out of the prison by the Guantanamo Periodic Review Board in 2016."

SOME MORE QUESTIONS:
Isn't holding a person w/o trial in a remote secret location for 20 years, what we call a Political Prisoner when it is done by another nation?

What is to keep the DC Deep State / PELOSI from doing this to the Jan. 6th protesters, if the LSD's "by hook or crook" survive the Mide-Terms and still have control?

#8  This is the correct action and every sport should follow suit.

When called transphobic they should push back by insisting that any trans-female athletes must have their penis removed at the very least. They must be committed to being a woman not just a tourist taking advantage of current PC trends.

#9  For all sports, I tend to watch less in cases where the enjoyment is overcome by annoyance and distraction. PED scandals, labor disputes, domestic violence case, and athletes telling me what to think are not what I am looking for. I almost never watch ESPN these days. For the business of sports the trans-sports movement will be like the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man. It looks like the NCAA is headed for the trash heap regardless. On a lower level maybe kid sports will get moved out of schools where parents have more control.

#3  The current strategic oil reserve holds 562 million barrels. That’s after Biden released 80 million barrels in two lots since being elected. He now plans to burn through another 180 million barrels (1m/day for six months). Not looking prudent to me. Most of the oil comes from US sources - light crude not heavy. So while this will make a negligible impact on gasoline use it’ll have no impact on diesel availability. As a reminder - diesel fuels tractors and the trucks for our supply chain

#4  the chart is of all-products, CPI. not oil prices

the increase in oil prices is partly Biden's fault but also various States that don't permit fracking, some countries that likewise prohibit fracking and also the supply chain problem which has reduced the availability of some of the products that are needed by oil drillers

It's funny, you have to defend them the half the time they make the decisions to tear the US down and build Russia up, and then commence screeching when they pretend to oppose Russia for the sake of kayfabe.

I doubt anyone was killed. The photos I saw appeared to be staged, similar to what the Syrian "White Helmets" did a few years back.

But then, we can't know the whole story given that western media only follows the Ukrainian version of events, given the Russian defense ministry website is blocked.

#19  I post summaries from the Russians and the Ukrainians, as well as from the breakaway republics. As to the rest, the great lion's share of information about the war is sourced from the Ukrainian ministry of defense.

The balance between the two sides is roughly six to one in favor of the Ukrainians. I don't begrudge the Ukrainian side their advantage in information, why should you begrudge the Russians their side?

I can't believe I am having to defend a position I have stated. Repeatedly:

Both sides will be presented, regardless.

The pair’s detention was kept extremely quiet. The most prominent American known to be in Taliban custody is Mark Frerichs who was kidnapped in January 2020.

A statement posted on Twitter by Human First Coalition, a US private group involved in evacuating at-risk Afghans, identified Rauf as its president.

In the statement, Rauf said he and his brother "were engaged in humanitarian work in Afghanistan when we were taken into Taliban custody" on Dec. 18.

They were held for 105 days, he said.

"Our understanding is that this exceptionally unfortunate situation arose due to a misunderstanding; we did nothing wrong," he continued without elaborating.

Rauf thanked those involved in helping to free the pair, including US officials, their family, Qatar, the British government and his organization.

The US Navy said that Rauf is a reserve hospital corpsman who enlisted in March 2017 and whose last posting was in April 2021 at the medical facility at Joint Base Andrews, outside Washington.

Biden to return to Delaware Friday afternoon ahead of submarine ceremony
[DELAWAREONLINE] President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences...
is set to arrive in Delaware Friday afternoon ahead of a Saturday morning ceremony commemorating the commission of a nuclear-powered submarine named after the First State.

Biden will leave the White House just before 3:30 p.m. and arrive at New Castle Airport around 4:20 p.m. A presidential motorcade will then accompany him from the airport to his Greenville home.

The route typically affects traffic near I-95, Route 141 and Commons Boulevard.

Biden's visit home, the first in several weeks, comes ahead of the Saturday celebration of the USS Delaware, a Virginia-class fast attack submarine. The President and First lady Jill Biden are both slated to speak at the event.

Albania charges Iranian man for alleged terror links
[IsraelTimes] Bijan Pooladrag accused of supporting terror organizations and abusing computer data

An Albanian prosecutor’s office said Friday it has charged an Iranian man of supporting terror organizations and abusing computer data.

The Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime, a prosecutor’s office in charge of special crimes and those committed by bigwigs, said the case against Bijan Pooladrag has been sent to the court.

The statement did not give more details on the defendant or when he was arrested.

More than two years ago, Albania expelled two Iranian diplomats for allegedly engaging in illegal activities while violating their diplomatic status and threatening the country’s security.

The Iranians were suspected of illegal activities related to a World Cup qualifying match between Albania and Israel in 2018. About 20 people were arrested in Albania and Kosovo following that match, which officials say was threatened by an alleged terrorist plot.

Albania is also home to more than 2,000 members of the Iranian exile opposition group Mujahedin el-Khalk, which moved there from Iraq.

Biden budget proposes $100 million for 'racial' diversity in schools
[BIZPACREVIEW] President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences...
administration’s newly proposed $5.8 trillion federal budget includes massive spending increases for the Department of Education to promote "racial" diversity.

The new education allocations for fiscal year 2023 include "$100 million for a new Fostering Diverse Schools program" which will use grants to help communities "develop and implement strategies that will build more racially and socioeconomically diverse schools and classrooms, " according to the Department of Education’s (DOE) budget summary.

The program is part of an attempt to "address the well-documented, persistent negative effects of racial isolation and concentrated poverty" through "efforts to increase school racial and socioeconomic diversity in preschool through grade 12."

As part of the initiative, the federal government will partner with state educational agencies "that have significant achievement gaps and racial or socioeconomic segregation within or across districts."

Presented this earlier in the week:

Simply put, what the USA collected in Revenue vs. Spent for the last 4 years:

FY 2021 $3.86 trillion collected vs. $6.8 trillion spent.

FY 2020 $3.71 trillion collected vs. $4.79 trillion spent.

FY 2019 $3.46 trillion collected vs. $4.4 trillion spent.

FY 2018 $3.33 trillion collected vs. $4.109 trillion spent.

Now the LSD's want to spend $5.8 Trillion with official estimates indicating the US will collect only about $3.9 Trillion in actual revenues?

So are they adding about another $2+/- Trillion to the National Debt of $30.35+ Trillion?

QUESTION: Why do we pay taxes at all?
It is clear DC just electronically creates what it wants to spend as it needs it.

BTW: The USA only has about $600 Billion in Gold Assets (248 million Tory Oz.). So the DC created virtually dollars' actual worth is solely based on other nations' perceived worth of it.

So, here's my idea: bus the kids who are an excess in their district to another (not necessarily nearby) district. That way, every district will look like America (if that's diverse enough.)

#7  Segregate again at school levels. Make a woke excuse that black students just cannot feel confident with whites around, some such thing couched in 'pedagogic' jargon.

Give all the grants and freebies to the black schools, build them palatial universities and grand infrastructure and hire the best of the best [whatever passes for that now] and pour a billion dollars into them.

And let the whites fund their own institutions, with donations, christian NGOs etc.

In two years time you'll have grand campuses on one side; with soot blackened walls, filthy graffiti, shootings and knifings and drug dealers and prostitution, and teachers and principals in hospitals or the cemetary.

And on one side you'll have modestly equipped schools with little diversity but consistent academic performance and only the occassional incident. Human resource will improve, industry won't need so many Indian or Chinese parts in the corporate machines, overall improvement of the economy. Unless laws like the corporate diversity mandate go through.

Of course government will still be fucked up, and growing worse.

Judge Rules California Diversity Mandate for Corporations Is Unconstitutional
[TOWNHALL] A Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, judge ruled that the state's diversity law requiring corporations to have racial minorities or members of the LGBTQ+ community serve on their board of directors was unconstitutional.

The judge, who handed down the ruling Friday, concluded that the law violated California's constitutional equal protection clause, according to a summary judgment granted to Judicial Watch, a conservative legal group that filed a permanent injunction against the measure.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement to The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that the decision "declared unconstitutional one of the most blatant and significant attacks in the modern era on constitutional prohibitions against discrimination."

Signed into law by Democratic Gov. Gavin can't be Bee'd Newsom
...mayor of San Franciscoas it transformed itself into Poopville, currently governor of Californiaas it transforms itself into Cinderland...
in 2020, the law mandates that corporate boards of publicly traded companies with a main executive office in California must have a racial or ethnic minority or a member of the LGBTQ+ community serving on their boards by the end of 2021.

The measure also made it a requirement that, by the end of 2022, two members of an aforementioned "underrepresented community" must serve on the board in corporations with four to nine directors and three such minority directors must serve on a board with more than nine directors.

Arizona Governor Signs Election Integrity Legislation As Activists Lament 'Disenfranchisement'
[REDSTATE] On Wednesday, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey signed voter identification legislation that will require residents to show proof of citizenship and residency before they register to vote. "Voting rights advocates" are lamenting that it could result in thousands of ineligible registrations.

From CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
Arizona Republican Gov. Doug Ducey on Wednesday signed legislation that would require all Arizonans to provide proof of citizenship and residency to register to vote, sparking criticism from voting rights advocates who say it will potentially cancel thousands of voter registrations and are exploring legal challenges in response.

Voting rights advocates point out that many voters didn’t have to previously provide such proof. Critics also say that such documentation is not readily available when people are filing out the forms.

"People can probably produce (the documentation) if they know they need to, but they’re probably not going to have them in the grocery store (when at a voter registration drive)," Alex Gulotta, Arizona director of All Voting is Local, told CNN Wednesday.

"We’ve never had to do this before!" seems like a weak argument against voter id; and people who go to government services without the correct documentation do what people have done since the beginning of government...they go home and get what they need and come back. The angst over "potentially" cancelling thousands of voter registrations seems misplaced. There’s an easy fix to having your legitimate voting registration cancelled. Just provide the right documents. If you don’t have them, that means you’re not eligible to vote and should not be attempting to vote in the first place.

This is the "tie my shoes" approach to voting. Progressives keep pushing the definition of "disenfranchisement" further and further to the fringes, where any work that an individual has to do in order to vote is considered a roadblock. If someone can’t come to your house, get you dressed, tie your shoes and get you to the polls...disenfranchisement!

Local authorities in the occupied Ukrainian town of Enerhodar say Russian forces have violently dispersed a pro-Ukrainian rally
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

Russian police detained 211 people Saturday at protests against Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine, an NGO said.

OVD-Info, which monitors arrests during protests, said police had detained at least 211 people during demonstrations in 17 cities in Russia.

An AFP journalist in Moscow witnessed more than 20 people detained by riot police under heavy snowfall in the capital’s central park Zaryadye, a short distance from the Kremlin.

Police escorted away people sitting on park benches or just standing around without explaining the reasons for the detention, the news hound said.

One of the detained women held a bouquet of white tulips, while another several times exclaimed "No to war in Ukraine!" as she was being taken away.

A national sit-in Saturday against what Moscow calls its "special military operation" in Ukraine was announced on social media by activists in around 30 Russian cities.

The organizers said in a statement they wanted to protest "the collapse of [Russia’s" economy," against Russian President Vladimir Putin

"Russia deserves peace, democracy and prosperity," they said.

In Russia’s second city, Saint Petersburg, AFP saw multiple arrests near the city’s Legislative Assembly where around 40 people gathered, although it was unclear how many were there to protest.

"Nobody will come, all the active ones were detained at previous protests," said 30-year-old Sergei Gorelov, who said he came to "take a look and show support if necessary."

"I just came to stand around, to somehow express my protest to everything that is happening. It’s scary to protest actively," Galina Sedova, 50, told AFP at the scene.

Protesters risk fines and possible prison sentences by taking to the streets.

OVD-Info says that over 15,000 people have been detained at rallies across the country to protest Russian military action in Ukraine, which was launched on February 24.

El-Rufai Reveals Boko Haram Terrorists Behind Kaduna Train Attack
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State on Friday in Abuja met President Muhammadu Buhari on security developments in his state following Monday night’s terror attack on an Abuja-Kaduna bound train.

SaharaReporters had reported how bandidos hard boyz bombed the Abuja-Kaduna train en route Rigasa with hundreds of passengers on-board.

During the attack, many passengers were kidnapped, others rubbed out and an unascertain number of the passengers also sustained various degrees of injury.

El-Rufai, who was sober about recent happenings in the state, told journalists that the President had reassured him that drastic measures would be taken to check the activities of bandidos hard boyz and bandidos in Kaduna and beyond.

The governor revealed that the attack on the train was carried out by Boko Haram
...Nigeerian Islamist group, formerly paying homage to al-Qaeda, then, when the money ran out, to the Islamic State, and headed by nutcase Abu Bakr Shekau. Once he exploded in a gunfight with ISWAP, many in the group surrendered to the govt and others went with their new overlords. The remainder are a shell of their former selves, stmbling glassy-eyed and lonely through the Sambisa Forest and the soothing waters of Lake Chad, asking themselves What is truth?, or maybe just I wonder what's for dinner? I hope it's not rhinocerous again! ...
bandidos hard boyz in collaboration with some bandidos operating in Kaduna, Zamfara, Sokoto Niger, and Kebbi states.

He said security agencies have been making efforts to rescue victims of the attack from the hands of the kidnappers.

He said, "The President assured me that necessary steps would be taken on the matter and this thing will be brought to an end in a few months, and security agents are already carrying out surveillance around where these criminals are and, by the grace of God, they’ll be rounded up.

"But as you know, the government will always take precautionary measures to safeguard the lives of citizens, therefore, except the victims are rescued unhurt, the air force and ground troops will not be able to confront the criminals. So to avoid any colossal damage, the captives have to be freed first."

El-Rufai confirmed that the button men had contacted the families of their captives but are yet to request a ransom.

He said, "Well, the families of those kidnapped have been contacted while some of the captives themselves have called their loved ones, saying they’re doing well and they’re being taken care of. But the button men haven’t shown any sign of collecting ransom.

"These ones aren’t the usual kidnappers but members of Boko who are collaborating with bandidos.

"So we were thinking they’ll ask for a huge ransom from the state government, not the families of their victims. So far, they’ve asked for ransom from just one of the 5 families that were contacted.

"As far as the Kaduna State Government is concerned, we’ve not changed our stand on payment of ransom, so, even if they seek for that from us, we’ll not pay because we are not ready to do so."

Pakistan PM Khan suggests he might not accept vote to oust him
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who isn't your heaviest-duty thinker, maybe not even among the top five...
suggested on Saturday that he might not accept a vote to oust him, a move he alleged was being orchestrated by the United States.

Opposition parties say Khan has failed to revive an economy battered by the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
pandemic or fulfil promises to make his government more transparent and accountable, and have put forward a no-confidence motion due to be voted on Sunday.

"How can I accept the result when the entire process is discredited?" Khan told a select group of foreign journalists at his office.

"Democracy functions on moral authority - what moral authority is left after this connivance?"

"The move to oust me is blatant interference in domestic politics by the United States," he said, terming it an attempt at "regime change."

Khan, who has already lost his parliamentary majority after allies quit his coalition government and joined the opposition, urged his supporters to take to the streets on Sunday ahead of the vote.

Hours before he spoke, the head of the army, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, had said Pakistain wanted to expand its ties with Washington.

US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Joe's wife and daughter weren't killed by a drunk driver. He didn't graduate with three or even two degrees, wasn't in the top half of his law class, and his daddy didn't come home from a hard day's work in the mines and play football with the guys. The NAACP hasn't endorsed him every time he's run....
has not called Khan since taking office, but the White House has denied that it is seeking to topple him.

Relations are strained in particular over Afghanistan, where Washington accused Pakistain of backing the successful Taliban
...Arabic for students...
insurgency that led last year to a chaotic withdrawal of US and allied forces.

Yet while the government has pursued multi-billion dollar development deals with China, the United States’ strategic rival, the army appears keen not to jeopardize relations with Washington, which has in the past supplied it with billions of dollars in military aid.

Bajwa told a security conference in Islamabad that "we share a long history of excellent and strategic relationship with the United States, which remains our largest export market."

He noted that Pakistain had long enjoyed close diplomatic and business relationships with China, but added: "We seek to expand and broaden our ties with both countries without impacting our relations with the other."

The US Embassy in Islamabad did not immediately reply to a request for comment.

#5  We have... projects. Some are in crucial stages. If the junta takes over, they might suffer setbacks. The contenders, Bilawal or the Sharifs would be actually beneficial for the country. Suffice to say we are not particularly interested in a stable Pakistain.

I think a stable Pakistan would be better for the world, assuming the stability is healthy rather than continuing the current descent into Islamic fanaticism.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Russia gives up on taking Kiev - militaryland sitrep
more at link

Russia has withdrawn almost their whole army that was attacking Kiev from the North. Russia's forces in the NE are also under Ukraine counterattack.

Presumably Russia will take their troops that were in the N and NE and deploy them in the East but most analysts think these units are too badly mauled to be effective in the short term.

Russia is close to taking Mariupol completely and will probably do so sometime in the next 7 days.

#2  My friend (who reads all the military reports a civilian can read) thinks I'm crazy but I think Putin never expected to hold the entire Ukraine and that was just an extra grab to make the peace treaty negotiations easy. As is I suspect he'll be given the eastern areas and Crimean to stop the war.

So the plan (if that was the plan) succeeded even though the blowback of being an international pariah and economically hobbled were probably far worse than Putin expected.

Russia's Bloody Retreat From Kyiv
[PJMEDIA] Ukraine has recaptured more territory around Kyiv as Russian forces leave the area. In some instances, Russian troops are abandoning their positions in an orderly fashion, and Ukrainian forces are largely letting them leave.

But Rooters reports that there’s a trail of smashed tanks and dead bodies that marks Russia’s retreat from the outskirts of Kyiv, attesting to some fierce battles that took place in the last several days.

Ukraine recaptured more territory around Kyiv from Russian soldiers who left shattered villages and their own abandoned tanks as they moved away from the capital, while a disputed cross-border strike in Russia complicated peace talks on Friday.

In the hamlet of Dmytrivka to the west of the capital, smoke was still rising from the wrecks of armored vehicles and the bodies of at least eight Russian soldiers lay in the streets, Rooters correspondents saw.

"From one side we were hearing the tanks shooting at us, and from the area of Bucha was a massive mortar shelling," said resident Leonid Vereshchagin, a business executive, referring to a town to the north.

On Friday, PJ Media’s Kevin Downey Jr. covered the attack on a Russian fuel depot that destroyed several million gallons of fuel. There was some initial speculation that the attack was actually carried out by disgruntled Russian helicopter pilots who were refusing to fight in Ukraine. But U.S. intelligence analysts are now confirming the attack was initiated by two Mi-24 helicopters of Ukrainian origin.

Washington Post:

Despite this apparent trolling, many military and intelligence analysts said it had been a Ukrainian attack carried out by two Mi-24 helicopters that swept in low; fired rockets at the fuel depot, causing a massive explosion and igniting fuel tank fires; and then departed, still flying at a very low altitude. No casualties were reported.

If the attack is confirmed, it would mark an audacious and risky move by Ukraine, with its forces shifting from a largely defensive posture to a direct Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
on Russia at a time when the Russian military appears weakened.

Hitting the fuel supply depot was a stroke of genius. Every drop of fuel used by Russian forces in Ukraine has to be brought over the border by Russian trucks — trucks pulled out of mothballs and put in service for the war. The trucks are poorly maintained and are breaking down regularly.

Streets of Kyiv suburb 'littered' with bodies, 280 buried in mass grave
[NYPOST] Almost 300 people were buried in a mass grave in Bucha, a commuter town northwest of Ukraine’s capital Kyiv, its mayor said Saturday, after the Ukrainian army retook control of the key town from Russia only to find corpses strewn throughout the community.

"In Bucha, we have already buried 280 people in mass graves," Mayor Anatoly Fedoruk told AFP by phone. He said the destroyed town’s streets are littered with corpses.

In one residential street, the bodies of at least 20 men in civilian clothes were found strewn over an area of several hundred yards.

Graphic videos and photos of that street and others in the community circulated online.

One showed a man’s body with his hands tied behind his back, and an open Ukrainian passport lay on the ground beside him. Another had a gaping head wound.

Two lay near bicycles and a third was next to an abandoned car. Some lay face up, with their limbs askew, while others were lying face down.

#3  According to Scott Ritter, the Russians' war is proceeding to plan. From his twitter feed:

1/ Big Arrow War—a primer. For all those scratching their heads in confusion, or dusting off their dress uniforms for the Ukrainian victory parade in Kiev, over the news about Russia’s “strategic shift”, you might want to re-familiarize yourself with basic military concepts.

2/ Maneuver warfare is a good place to start. Understand Russia started its “special military operation” with a severe manpower deficit—200,000 attackers to some 600,000 defenders (or more). Classic attritional conflict was never an option. Russian victory required maneuver.

3/ Maneuver war is more psychological than physical and focuses more on the operational than on the tactical level. Maneuver is relational movement—how you deploy and move your forces in relation to your opponent. Russian maneuver in the first phase of its operation support this.

4/ The Russians needed to shape the battlefield to their advantage. In order to do this, they needed to control how Ukraine employed it’s numerically superior forces, while distributing their own smaller combat power to best accomplish this objective.

5/ Strategically, to facilitate the ability to maneuver between the southern, central, and northern fronts, Russia needed to secure a land bridge between Crimea and Russia. The seizure of the coastal city of Mariupol was critical to this effort. Russia has accomplished this task.

6/ While this complex operation unfolded, Russia needed to keep Ukraine from maneuvering its numerically superior forces in a manner that disrupted the Mariupol operation. This entailed the use of several strategic supporting operations—feints, fixing operations, and deep attack.

7/ The concept of a feint is simple—a military force either is seen as preparing to attack a given location, or actually conducts an attack, for the purpose of deceiving an opponent into committing resources in response to the perceived or actual actions.

8/ The use of the feint played a major role in Desert Storm, where Marine Amphibious forces threatened the Kuwaiti coast, forcing Iraq to defend against an attack that never came, and where the 1st Cavalry Division actually attacked Wadi Al Batin to pin down the Republican Guard.

9/ The Russians made extensive use of the feint in Ukraine, with Amphibious forces off Odessa freezing Ukrainian forces there, and a major feint attack toward Kiev compelling Ukraine to reinforce their forces there. Ukraine was never able to reinforce their forces in the east.

10/ Fixing operations were also critical. Ukraine had assembled some 60,000-100,000 troops in the east, opposite Donbas. Russia carried out a broad fixing attack designed to keep these forces fully engaged and unable to maneuver in respect to other Russian operations.

11/ During Desert Storm, two Marine Divisions were ordered to carry out similar fixing attacks against Iraqi forces deployed along the Kuwaiti-Saudi border, tying down significant numbers of men and material that could not be used to counter the main US attack out west.

12/ The Russian fixing attack pinned the main Ukrainian concentration of forces in the east, and drove them away from Mariupol, which was invested and reduced. Supporting operations out of Crimea against Kherson expanded the Russian land bridge. This phase is now complete.

13/ Russia also engaged in a campaign of strategic deep attack designed to disrupt and destroy Ukrainian logistics, command & control, and air power and long-range fire support. Ukraine is running out of fuel and ammo, cannot coordinate maneuver, and has no meaningful Air Force.

14/ Russia is redeploying some of its premier units from where they had been engaged in feint operations in northern Kiev to where they can support the next phase of the operation, namely the liberation of the Donbas and the destruction of the main Ukrainian force in the east.

15/ This is classic maneuver warfare. Russia will now hold Ukraine in the north and south while its main forces, reinforced by the northern units, Marines, and forces freed up by the capture of Mariupol, seek to envelope and destroy 60,000 Ukrainian forces in the east.

16/ This is Big Arrow War at its finest, something Americans used to know but forgot in the deserts and mountains of Afghanistan and Iraq. It also explains how 200,000 Russians have been able to defeat 600,000 Ukrainians. Thus ends the primer on maneuver warfare, Russian style.

I have absolutely no idea if any of this is true; we'll just have to see how things pan out. But I do know "our" MSM is no more trustworthy than any Russian outlet... and that the Zelenskyy regime has lied through their teeth right from the beginning.

"The Russians are shelling the nuclear reactor!"
"There's been a radiation leak!"
"The Ghost of Kiev!"
"The brave martyrs of Snake Island!"

#4  Scott Ritter, convicted pedophile and pet commenter of Russia Today, et al, who believed in Saddam Hussein’s WMD until he didn’t. Ugh. He may know what he’s talking about, but I am not qualified to judge.

I’ve forgotten my Twitter password, so a link to the tweet leading off that series would be helpful, Mr. Exception. Your choices are to paste the bare URL into a comment, to paste the embed code into a comment, or to bury the URL in a hotlink by writing a bit of text in the comment box, highlighting it, clicking on the icon below the comment text box that looks like the world sitting on two links of a chain, then pasting the URL over the http:// placeholder in the box that pops up.

Thanking you in advance,
