CA Bill Would Allow Non-Citizens to Serve as Police Officers
[PoliceMag] A California senate bill would allow non-citizens to serve as law enforcement officer, if approved by the legislature and signed into law by the governor.

SB 960, proposed by Republican Sen. Nancy Skinner, would remove the provision that an individual must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States in order to become a police officer, FOX LA reports.

The bill only allows for legal immigrants to become police officers, a source familiar with the bill told Fox News Digital. However, the language in the bill itself does not specify that illegal immigrants are barred from doing so. The term "illegal immigrant" was unnecessary to include as other sections of federal law already barred illegal immigrants from becoming officers, the source continued.

"This bill only allows those who are living here legally and have the legal ability to work here -- through a visa, a green card -- to become peace officers. I just want to be clear on that," said Sen. Skinner at a March 22 Senate Public Safety Committee.

The bill received its second reading on Tuesday and is now onto its third reading.

Palestinian rioters vandalize Joseph's Tomb amid clashes with IDF
[Jpost] Palestinian rioters vandalized Joseph’s Tomb in the West Bank city of Nablus on Saturday night amid clashes with the IDF, damaging the gravestone, a chandelier hanging above it, a water tank and an electricity closet.

The vandalism comes amid the second night of arrest raids made by Israeli security forces in the West Bank, following a fatal terror attack on Thursday night in Tel Aviv that claimed three lives.

Trump Endorces Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania
[CNN] Former President Donald Trump endorsed Dr. Mehmet Oz for US Senate on Saturday, just weeks before the contested Republican primary in Pennsylvania.

"This is all about winning elections in order to stop the Radical Left maniacs from destroying our Country," Trump said in the statement endorsing the celebrity heart surgeon and television personality.

The endorsement came after months of behind-the-scenes jockeying by Oz and another leading candidate in Pennsylvania, Dave McCormick, a hedge fund executive. Both Oz and McCormick entered the primary after Trump's first choice for the nomination, Sean Parnell, dropped out of the race late last year.

"The Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has a tremendous opportunity to Save America by electing the brilliant and well-known Dr. Mehmet Oz for the United States Senate," the endorsement read. "I have known Dr. Oz for many years, as have many others, even if only through his very successful television show. He has lived with us through the screen and has always been popular, respected and smart."

-Lurid Crime Tales-
11 Times Joe Biden Was Involved in Family's Corrupt Business Dealings
[Breitbart] President Joe Biden has brazenly claimed over and over again to have no knowledge of his family’s corrupt business dealings for which his son Hunter is under investigation by the FBI for tax fraud, money laundering, and the violation of lobbying laws.

The White House has also insisted Biden never spoke to Hunter about his intertwined business dealings, though evidence of the Biden family business suggests otherwise.

According to former Utah U.S. attorney Brett Tolman, the Biden family business may reveal the core of an entrenched business enterprise, which could involve legal "predicates" for racketeering charges.

Here are 11 times Joe Biden played a role in the Biden family business over six years:

India-Pakistan
NIA cracks down heavily on TRF, the outfit targeting Kashmiri Pandits, minorities in J&K
[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency conducted raids at 11 locations in Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
in connection with a case of The Resistence Front recruiting, motivating the youths of the Union Territory to carried out violent mostly peaceful acts of Jihad.

The NIA raided 6 locations in district Srinagar, 2 in Baramulla, 1 in Awantipora, 1 in Budgam and 1 in Kulgam.

The case on hand relates to the activities of the The Resistence Front a frontal organization of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba. The NIA said that the self-styled commander of the outfit, Sajjad Gul has been radicalising and motivating the youth of J&K to undertake violent mostly peaceful activities. He along with his handlers in Pakistain have been recruiting youth and conducting reconnaissance of pre-determined targets apart from coordinating and transporting weapons.

In another development the NIA filed a supplementary chargesheet against to TRF operatives. The case relates to the recovery of an Improvised Explosive Device from one Nadeem ul-Haq from Bhatindi, Jammu. He at the behest of his Pakistain based handler had attempted to carry out a blast in a public place in Jammu. Investigation has unearthed a larger conspiracy hatched by the Pak handlers of TRF, involved in recruitment and planning to activate a significant number of radicalized youth through social media platforms to target security personnel and public places with an intention to wage war against government of India, the NIA said.

Ever since the inception of the The Resistence Front, it has been notorious for targeting civilians.

Officials tell OneIndia that the primary motive of the outfit is to target the minority community in Jammu and Kashmir. Last year it was involved in the killing of a Kashmiri pandit, Makhan Lal Bindroo.

In the first incident, faceless myrmidons fired at a chemist, M L Bindro at the Iqbal Park area of Srinagar. He succumbed on the way to hospital. The incident took place at around 7 pm.

Releasing a statement after the attacks, spokesperson for The Resistance® Front, Umar Wani said that the group had carried out three assassinations in North Kashmir. He said that Bindro was killed because he was an RSS worker.

In the second attack the TRF killed one Virender Paswan. The outfit termed him as a non-local informer of the Intelligence Bureau. The third attack was on Shafi Lone, whom the TRF termed as an informer.

The attack took place at the Shahgund area of Hajin in Bandipora district.

In its statement, the TRF said that it would continue with attacks on RSS workers and non-local informers. We will continue with the attacks and strike fear in the hearts of these people the statement also read.

Investigations by the police are underway and a search has been launched for the terrorists. Omar Abdullah tweeted, "Another assassination in Srinagar. A poor non-local handcart stall owner selling golguppas has been shot and has reportedly departed this vale of tears. No words of condemnation are enough. May his soul rest in peace."

The TRF is an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba which was formed last year. The TRF has largely local faceless myrmidons and since the day of its formation, it has targeted Hindus and people which it thinks are informers of the police. An official tells OneIndia that the intention is to drive fear into the minds of the people. The TRF has specifically targeted Hindus and those in support of peace in Jammu and Kashmir, the officer also said.

In Sun Valley, the 'Finnishing' touch put on ambassador appointment New U.S. ambassador to Finland opts to hold oath ceremony close to home
[mtexpress.com]President Joe Biden’s appointment to be ambassador to Finland, Douglas Hickey, was sworn into the position Wednesday at Sun Valley City Hall in an atypical ceremony.

Hickey chose to hold the ceremony in Sun Valley instead of in the nation’s capital because he "thought it would be special," he said. Hickey and his family live just outside of Sun Valley. His wife, Dawn Ross, and their three children—Parker, Cole and Lyra—were all present at the ceremony, standing besides Hickey as he recited the oath of office.

"Ambassador Hickey will not treat politics as an intellectual exercise, but to actually achieve goals," said Sun Valley Mayor Peter Hendricks, a friend of Hickey’s. "The appointment of Doug Hickey to be ambassador to the Republic of Finland gives me very good reason to be optimistic."

Hickey previously served as ambassador and commissioner general to Expo Milano, a world exposition on agriculture and food, in 2015. He was appointed to that position by then-President Barack Obama.

Hickey holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Siena College in New York. From 1989 to 1994, he served as the president of Metropolitan Fiber Systems, a telecommunications company. Following that, he served as president and CEO of Critical Path Inc., another telecommunications company, from 1998-2001. Most recently, he was the president and CEO of a food and beverage industry software business called Binwise.

Hickey was initially being considered for the position of ambassador to Italy. Biden appointed him to the Finland post on Oct. 8, 2021, and he was confirmed by a U.S. Senate vote on March 24.

"I’m really excited about this. The Finnish people are strong and determined people, and with what’s happening in the world right now, there are going to be some very interesting choices," he said. "So, I’m looking to help in any way I can."

The ambassador will move to the U.S. Embassy in Helsinki in the coming months. Before he leaves, there will be a second swearing-in ceremony in Washington, D.C.

First, Hickey plans to enjoy his remaining time in Ketchum and Sun Valley. As the ceremony ended, he jovially invited attendees to join him and his family to celebrate with a burger and a beverage.

"Let’s all go to Grumpy’s!" he said.

Day 45 Rus invasion of Ukraine - again little movement of battlelines
Some shelling by Russia and some small scale attacks.

Big question is how fast and how effective will Russia reconstitute battalions for action in the Battle of Donbas.

Or even if this is possible.

Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: April 8th, 2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] 23:33 The Defense Express publication writes that the parachute shells that the mayor of Kharkov warned about are 9M55K1 cluster munitions, they can be launched by the Smerch multiple launch rocket system. Such submunitions are very dangerous because they can aim at the target while they fall. They have a thermal homing head that reacts not only to armored vehicles, but also to civilian vehicles. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported three weeks ago that the Russians fired at Kyiv with such ammunition.

23:30 Putin's longtime friend Berlusconi criticized the Russian president for the war with Ukraine: "I cannot and do not want to hide that I am deeply disappointed and saddened by the behavior of Vladimir Putin ... Russia cannot deny its responsibility in the face of the horror of the massacres of civilians in Bucha and other settlements of Ukraine".

23:26 Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that his country decided to buy Bayraktars from Turkey - Erdogan has already promised to put them out of turn.

23:23 The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the deadline for applying for assistance to IDPs until April 30. Everyone who moved from hot spots will be able to receive two thousand hryvnias for an adult and three thousand for a child.

23:17 Journalist Denis Kazansky said that in Vorzel, Kiev region (five kilometers from Bucha), the Russians set up a checkpoint on the Warsaw highway almost from the first days of the war and shot civilians who tried to pass by. The bodies of those killed are still lying on the side of the road. One of the dead is a guard at the Skipper restaurant, located not far from the road.

23:15 According to the OP, 4532 people were evacuated today.

23:10 USAID has provided Ukraine with five thousand Starlink satellite terminals, the US Embassy in Ukraine has reported.

23:08 Zelensky said following a meeting with Johnson that the British are ready to take patronage over the restoration of Kiev and the Kiev region after the war.

23:00 One of the main shrines, one of the most revered shrines of St. Sophia of Kiev - the icon of St. Nicholas (Wet) will return to Ukraine, Zelensky said. This is the first miraculous icon of Russia.

22:36 Arakhamia said that negotiations with Russia are difficult, there are not many positions for rapprochement: "I would say, not many at all." According to him, everything depends on the situation at the front. But now the negotiations allow solving the issues of humanitarian corridors, thanks to which more than 300 thousand people were able to evacuate.

As for the guarantor countries, Germany, Turkey, France and Italy have publicly agreed to become them. China, according to Arakhamia, "became interested and is actively working on the document." There is no response from the US and Britain yet.

He also said that they did not agree with Russia on the withdrawal of troops from Kyiv, "it was their good will or military necessity disguised as good will." Arakhamia claims that Ukraine learned about this, like everyone else, at a press conference in Istanbul.

22:21 The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that since the beginning of the military "special operation" from the Donbass and "dangerous regions of Ukraine" more than 700 thousand people have been evacuated to Russia.

22:17 The governor of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation said that from the side of Ukraine, mortars were fired at the border post in the area of the settlement. Elizavetovka, there were no casualties or damage.

22:14 Bellingcat investigative journalist Hristo Grozev believes that, from a military point of view, hostilities in Ukraine may last until the end of the year. As for the political component, in this case, in his opinion, everything will end within a month with a social crisis in Russia. Grozev considers a new Russian offensive against Kyiv unlikely.

22:05 In the hospitals of the Dnepropetrovsk region there are 80 people who were injured during the shelling of the station in Kramatorsk, said the head of the regional council Nikolai Lukashuk. Some of them are in a very critical condition. Also in the hospitals of the region are 19 children affected by the explosion in Kramatorsk.

22:00 The Czech Republic has issued a collectible banknote called Sláva Ukraine. The new banknote with a circulation of 20 thousand units is not a means of payment, but is equipped with security elements, like other local crowns. A bill can be bought for 1,500 kroons (about 2,000 hryvnias), and the money from the sale will be sent to help Ukraine.

21:11 In the Rivne region, since the beginning of the war, 233 vehicles have been confiscated from drunk drivers for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the regional administration reported.

21:08 The Cabinet of Ministers at today's meeting introduced a complete trade embargo on trade with Russia.

20:31 Johnson offered Ukraine military assistance in the form of 120 armored vehicles and new anti-ship missile systems, the British government told UP.

20:27 By order of Zelensky, the third exchange of prisoners took place today. 12 Ukrainian soldiers are returning home, of which one is a female officer. They also released 14 civilians, including nine women, Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk said.

20:24 On the outskirts of Mariupol, in the underpass near Sadkov, the bodies of killed civilians were found. The City Council reported that the Russian military had set up a body collection point there. The occupiers daily bring hundreds of corpses to such places, and then destroy them in mobile crematoria or bury them in mass graves.

Government Corruption
Hunter Biden frequently covered family expenses, texts reveal
[NYPOST] Hunter Biden’s access to lucrative financial opportunities also came with expectations — including kicking back as much as 50% of his earnings to his dad, text messages on his old laptop show.

"I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years," Hunter Biden groused to daughter Naomi in January 2019. "It’s really hard. But don’t worry, unlike pop, I won’t make you give me half your salary." Pop is Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity....
The laptop — infamously abandoned at a Delaware repair shop in April 2019 — does not contain any direct evidence of such money transfers, but does show that Hunter was routinely on the hook for his father’s household expenses while Joe Biden was vice president.

The expenses are spelled out in an email to Hunter from business partner Eric Schwerin from June 5, 2010, entitled "JRB Bills." They concerned the upkeep of Joe Biden’s palatial lakefront home in the wealthy Greenville enclave of Wilmington, Del. JBR are President Biden’s initials.

There were $1,239 in repairs to an air conditioner at "mom-mom’s cottage," and another $1,475 to a painter for "back wall and columns at the lake house." There was also another $2,600 for fixing up a "stone retaining wall at the lake" and $475 "for shutters."

In an email five days later, Schwerin said he received Joe Biden’s "Delaware tax refund check," which suggests he had personal access to the veep’s finances.

Schwerin was serving as president of Rosemont Seneca Partners, Hunter Biden’s Chinese-linked investment firm. The email ties President Biden even closer to the messy web of his son’s business dealings.

There’s also evidence Joe Biden sometimes reimbursed his son.

"I am depositing it in his account and writing a check in that amount back to you since he owes it to you. Don’t think I need to run it by him, but if you want to go ahead," Schwerin wrote.

In a July 6, 2010 email titled "JRB Future Memo," Schwerin said he was in touch with the vice president about his personal financial matters and was eager to start discussions with him about how to cash in when he left office.

"Your Dad just called me (about his mortgage) and mentioned he’d be out a lot soon and not really back until Labor Day ... He could use some positive news about his future earnings potential."

Father and son’s linked finances went well beyond household upkeep and sometimes spilled over into Hunter Biden’s debauched personal life.

In May 2018 during a drug and alcohol binge in Los Angeles, Hunter Biden accidentally transferred around $25,000 to an escort named "Gulnora." He was immediately visited by the Secret Service — suggesting that the money came from a joint account with his father.

Hunter received a series of text messages from a former agent who repeatedly urged him to come out of his hotel room and reminded him "this is linked to Celtic’s account." "Celtic" was Joe Biden’s Secret Service code name when he was vice president.

#4  ^ all this has been known for years. The four countries se China, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Russia. In every case, Bidens policy has been a dismal failure.

Biden refused to restrain Zelensky from demanding Crimea and NATO membership, provoking Russia toward war. Biden's bumbling approach to China is encouraging that country to launch a war against Taiwan. Biden was caught flat footed by events in Kazakhstan.

Hard to avoid the conclusion that Biden has been compromised by the Chinese and the Russians

Home Front: WoT
Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev appeals death sentence — again
[NYPOST] Convicted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev
...the pretty, ethnic-Chechen college boy from Dagestan who, with his highly connected, “self-radicalized” older brother, used pressure cooker bombs to blow up the Boston Marathon in 2013. The mosque the brothers frequented, the Islamic Society of Boston, is a hotbed of jihadi sentiment and connections to so many different jihadi groups and individuals the mind boggles. It was founded by Clinton Friend and Al Qaeda financier Abdurahman Alamoudi as a Muslim Student Association/Muslim Brotherhood project in 1981. According to Russian intelligence, whose warning about our lads President Obama’s intelligence agencies ignored until afterward, the Tsarnaev boys had lots of jihadi-connected friends back in the Olde Countrie, too, but nobody seems to have found a formal connection between them and any registered jihadi group. He’s been living in Florence Supermax prison since he was sentenced in 2015...
is again trying to avoid execution after his death sentence
...the barbaric practice of sentencing a murderer to be punished for as long as his/her/its victim is dead...
was reinstated by the Supreme Court last month.

Tsarnaev’s attorneys, in a filing on Thursday, asked the US Circuit Court of Appeals to consider four constitutional claims not taken up by the high court.

His lawyers claimed the trial court "improperly forced" Tsarnaev to stand trial in Boston; allowed his "coerced confession" to be admitted as evidence; denied his challenges to two jurors accused of lying during questioning; and dismissed a potential juror because they opposed the death penalty

The appeal was made in response to a Wednesday filing by the appeals court to comply with the Supreme Court’s ruling that Tsarnaev’s execution sentence be reinstated.

"Because these four claims on direct appeal have not yet been adjudicated by any appellate court, Tsarnaev respectfully submits that the April 6 judgment was entered in error and should be vacated," the filing states.

Prosecutors agreed that the defense’s four claims have not been resolved, but said in their response "The government believes that the defendant’s death sentences should be affirmed."

India-Pakistan
Pakistan's anti-terrorism court sentences Hafiz Saeed in terror financing cases
[GREATERKASHMIR] An anti-terrorism court in Pakistain on Friday sentenced Mumbai terror attack criminal mastermind and banned Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed
...founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its false-mustache offshoot Jamaat-ud-Dawa. The United Nations declared the JuD a terrorist organization in 2008 and Hafiz Saeed a terrorist as its leader. Hafiz, JuD and LeT are wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Pak intel apparatus, so that amounted to squat. He is periodically placed under house arrest so it looks like the govt is doing something. Once the heat is off they let him go....
to 32 years in jail in two more terror financing cases.
Will this be served as unsupervised house arrest or in one of those cushy jail cells suitable for receiving visitors of high rank? Assuredly the government of Pakistan would not shove him among the regular prisoners. One can’t possibly receive visitors properly under such conditions.
Earlier in five such cases, the 70-year-old radical holy man had already been convicted of 36 years imprisonment.

The total sentence of 68 years imprisonment will run concurrently. Saeed may have to spend not many years in jail because his sentence will run concurrently, a lawyer told PTI.

On Friday, anti-terrorism court (ATC) judge Ejaz Ahmad Bhuttar handed down 32 years jail term to Saeed in two FIRs - 21/2019 and 90/2019 registered by the Counter-Terrorism Department of Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

Police, a court official told PTI.

"In the 21/19 and 99/21, he was sentenced for 15.5 years and 16.5 years, respectively," the official added.

The court also imposed a fine of PKR 340,000 on Saeed.

He said Saeed was brought to the court from the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore where he has been imprisoned since 2019 in strict security.

Saeed, an UN-designated terrorist on whom the US has placed a USD 10 million bounty, was arrested on July 2019 in the terror financing cases.

Saeed-led JuD is the front organization for the Lashkar-e-Taiba
...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI...
(LeT) which is responsible for carrying out the 2008 Mumbai attack that killed 166 people, including six Americans.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
An attempt to cancel Russian culture
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[ColonelCassad] During the Great Patriotic War, Goethe was not withdrawn from any Soviet library. No orchestra has excluded Wagner from the repertoire.
Not true, actually. The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra refused to perform Wagner from Kristallnacht in 1938 until 2012.
And today Russia also does not refuse either Taras Shevchenko or Lesya Ukrainka.

Nobody cancels Twain and Dreiser. No one thinks of throwing O'Henry out of the libraries. No one will ever cancel William Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde, despite the fact that both are English, and one of them is completely homosexual.

We loved, we love and we will love. We value them not because of their nationality, sexual orientation or attitude towards slavery. But because they are more than the British or Americans, more than adherents of any political views.

They are the property of the world. And ours too. By accepting samples of world culture, we do not impoverish our own, but enrich it.

By canceling Dostoevsky or Tchaikovsky, the West does not take anything from Russia - only from itself.
Agreed.
Because we are talking about a world heritage to which the Americans, the British, the Russians, and representatives of many other countries have contributed. Tolstoy and Bulgakov do not care how they are treated in the West. They cannot be belittled or humiliated.

Because immortals don't care about political squabbles. You are not canceling them, you are canceling a part of the great culture in yourself. And Russia will never give up either Shelley or Villon or Salinger. We are not idiots.

#1  [ColonelCassad] During the Great Patriotic War, Goethe was not withdrawn from any Soviet library. No orchestra has excluded Wagner from the repertoire.

He's obviously talking about Russian orchestras. Israel is totally irrelevant.

His point is that the West has hysterically applied its stupid "cancel culture" to Russia's extraordinary collection of brilliant classical musicians, singers and conductors, while Russia continues to place culture above politics. This belies shallow and embarrassing claims about Western "superiority"; it is in fact the Russians who have the high ground and can claim to be more civilized.

Heather Mac Donald agrees:
Classical Music Cancels Russians: Denounce Putin, or Be Blacklisted

#3  The classical music establishment demands that Russian musicians condemn their nation’s invasion of Ukraine

And we demand it begin in 'e' flat minor and conclude with a tremolo. Accompaniment of a flute at the end would further convince this community of artists that the apology for being Russian is sincere.

#4  In solidarity with Pushkin statues everywhere, and great Russian gopnikal muzhik tradition...

Superfluous are men -- a bother! --
Unless perchance they're brown or black
Like, say, our subject's swarthy father
Who had of offspring no sad lack,

For poor Ms. Siöberg bore so many
They wouldn't sell at ten a penny!
Beware amours, you bright young men...
Where was I? Oh yeah... [licks his pen]

Among the sons one Aleksandr
Was irreplaceable! Growled he,
"Uniquely talented I be
To curse in verse, and weakly maunder."

The rest you know, so here I'll quit.

#9  Interesting that the cancellation of Russian musicians and composers is the logical consequence of the Black Lives Matter cancellation of the "whiteness" of great composers such as Beethoven.

"Compelled speech is becoming routine in academia. On campuses, faculty candidates for hiring and tenure increasingly must attest to their dedication to diversity to be considered for a job or a promotion.

Now the classical music establishment is adopting that same norm. Russian musicians are being asked to condemn President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine to retain jobs and performing engagements in the West. Staying above the fray is not an option, and denouncing the war will not ward off cancellation. Russian musicians must criticize Putin by name or be blacklisted.

Classical music’s recent self-abasement for its “whiteness” laid the groundwork for this presumptive group guilt. Since the George Floyd race riots in May and June 2020, directors of orchestras, opera companies, and conservatories have lambasted their own field for its historical demographics, said to be inextricably linked to racism. Music critics have sneered at Beethoven and other composers for having allegedly leveraged their whiteness to achieve undeserved acclaim.

Mea culpas and promises of fealty to Black Lives Matter have become de rigueur in mission statements and fundraising pitches. Now these coerced confessions are demanded of a subset of musicians whose Russianness makes them as suspect as whiteness does the entire Caucasian population. Even Russian music itself faces a political litmus test.

#32  The greatest victim of this canceling frenzy is the greatest conductor of our era, Valery Gergiev. Heather Mac Donald writes:

"Putin’s stance on LGBTQ education has particularly exercised music journalists and gay advocates. Queer Nation disrupted a concert Gergiev was conducting in Carnegie Hall in 2013 because Putin had signed a law that banned schools from distributing to minors “propaganda on nontraditional sexual relationships” (not so different from grassroots efforts in the U.S. to preserve a zone of childhood innocence regarding sexuality). “Gergiev, your silence is killing Russian gays!” protesters shouted. In response, Gergiev has insisted that he has never discriminated against anyone; no one has disputed that claim.

In 2016, Gergiev conducted the Mariinsky Orchestra from a Roman theater in Palmyra, Syria. Syrian forces, with Russian air support, had retaken the historic site, which ISIS had used to execute prisoners. Gergiev characterized the concert, featuring the music of Bach, Prokofiev, and the twentieth-century Russian composer Rodion Shchedrin, as a protest against barbarism

Mortar shell destroys an industrial facility in al-Sulaymaniyah..kills a person, injures 13
[TWITTER]

An explosion in an industrial facility on Saturday killed a person and injured at least thirteen, setting off a fierce blaze that sent a pall of smoke above the Tanjru area in al-Sulaymaniyah.

A source from inside the "SHAR" hospital said that two persons sustained life-threatening injuries in the blast that occurred in a metal facility.

"Apparently, a mortar shall was misfortunately found among the material smelted into construction iron," another source revealed, "the ultrasound detection device failed to detect the shall that went kaboom! as soon as it entered the oven."
Inshallah.
Shafaq News Agency correspondent said that a security force started an investigation into the accident while firefighting teams were trying to extinguish the blazes.

Reporters were prohibited from nearing the site, according to our correspondent.
Rudaw adds:
An explosion at the Master Steel iron factory in Sulaimani province's industrial Tanjero area on Saturday has injured at least 13 factory workers, some of which are severely maimed according to the city's police spokesperson.

"We heard the earth-shattering kaboom and saw the roof of the factory fall when we went to the scene and transported some of the injured to the hospital," a witness at the scene said.

Last year, a worker was killed and three others were maimed in a kaboom at the same factory. The factory reclaims old steel by melting scrap into ingots. The metal can then be reused for construction and other purposes.

Iraq is largely devoid of iron ore and relies on factories recycling the metal as well as imports to meet the country's demands.

BTW:

The lowest temperature ever recorded in North Dakota was -60° F at Parshall on February 15, 1936.

The highest temperature ever recorded in North Dakota was 121 °F in Steele on July 6, 1936.

So should ND expect to fry itself this Summer with temps in the High 110's to 125?

#3  ^ Interesting, I have made my own observations on local history. Pa. Maryland area. I have talked to people who spoke of 1936 as I recall people seeing some unusual weather events in this area. Hottest summer on record they said. Very cold winter where the bay was bombed to opened from ice to allow shipping to pass. Trees topped in Oakland Maryland 15 feet up to gather firewood. Then Johnstown flood which might have occurred due to excessive runoff from snow melt.Yes, an old dam of poor construction quality didn't help.

#14  Been looking at houses in Fort Worth Tx last week. Housing market is crazy - Seller's market for sure.

Many sellers are taking bids for 'best and highest'. I wasn't interested in that - too easy to have a buddy bid up the price.

Most builders can only contract a few houses per month due to supply problems. They don't want to commit to a schedule / closing date unless they know they can meet it - due to the unreliable supply chain. Don't like buyers getting pissed off because of delays caused by supply problems.

Just about every builder has a 'waiting list'.

Most seem to increase their prices every few 'sells'. They flat out tell you: "I sell three or four houses and then up the price". They say it's because of supply prices.

Nevertheless construction is everywhere. 400-500 acre masterplan communities with thousands of homes. Some are even building schools inside their communities.

Went to one model home where the person said "From Washington? We entirely understand - no need to explain!". Everyone seems to be moving to Texas. I'm hoping that more conservatives than liberals are going there.

We did find a place. Waiting to contract it out. Like the area - hit 95F on Monday. Good food and the people are genuinely nicer.

On Saturday, sites and fortifications of the Ottoman Turkish-backed opposition factions, south of Idlib, northwest Syria, were bombed by Russian aircraft.

The raids targeted locations in forests and on farmland. No information on casualties among civilians or faceless myrmidons were reported, amid intense flight of Russian reconnaissance planes over the area, the source added.

Florida teens wearing armored vests kill pal while taking turns shooting each other: cops
[NYPOST] A Florida teen was killed and two of his pals were arrested after taking turns shooting live rounds at each other while wearing armored vests, police said Friday.

Christopher Broad, 16, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound inside a home in Belleview on Sunday. He was rushed to a local hospital where he died from the injuries, cops said.

An ensuing probe revealed that Broad and another boy, Joshua Vining, 17, were taking turns "shooting each other while wearing a vest which contained a form of body armor," the Belleview Police Department said in a statement.

A third teen, Colton Whitler, was present at the time of the tragedy and allegedly gave officers a false account of what took place, authorities said.

"Vining shot at Broad while he was wearing the vest and he was struck," the statement stated.

Vining and Whitler were arrested in connection with Broad’s death Thursday and will be charged as adults, cops said.

[REGNUM] For almost three months, from the beginning of October to the end of December 1991, the situation in Tbilisi remained extremely tense. A rally of "Zviadists" was going on almost continuously near the Government House. The opposition organized demonstrations along the central streets of the city and periodically marched to the Government House. Several times the oppositionists and the “Zviadists” stood there one against the other, ready to engage in mortal combat. These dramatic moments were broadcast live by Georgian radio.

Russia Loses Ninth Senior Military Commander, Bespalov, In Ukraine
[SAHARAREPORTERS] Top Russian military officer, Colonel Alexander Bespalov, a tank commander has been killed in Ukraine, the ninth senior officer to be lost in the battle.
I thought we were only counting generals?
They're counting flag officers.
All those who are, or were going to become, generals? I’m not sure exactly what a flag officer is.
A flag officer is someone who commands a brigade sized unit or larger, or an officer who commands an independant combat unit. Usually colonel or higher.
He was given a funeral back in Russia but many soldiers corpses had been left to rot on the battlefield, to the despair of their mourning relatives.
There's lots more dead privates than there are dead colonels.
Each colonel has only one set of privates, surely. And only two ears, no matter how many extras show up on the field of battle.
Ukraine claimed 19,000 Russian invaders have died, but Russia only admitted “significant losses of troops”, without disclosing a tally.
19,000 is significant.
Bespalov's death comes after Ukraine announced it had “eliminated” Colonel Denis Kurilo, commander of the 200th motorised rifle brigade, in fierce fighting outside the country’s second city Kharkiv.
"Duck, colonel!... Whoops! Too late!"
"Don't worry. He'll have a nice funeral."
"Let's get started scraping him up."

Bespalov was commander of the 59th Guards Tank Regiment, Russia’s 74.RU news website reports.

#1  Ukrainian Troops Seen Killing Russian POWs in Video

A video posted online Monday appears to show a group of Ukrainian troops shooting captured Russia soldiers dead outside a village west of Kyiv.

The New York Times verified the video, which was shared on the social messaging app Telegram, on Thursday. The apparent killing of prisoners of war, which would be forbidden under the Geneva convention, comes as Ukraine has accused Russia of multiple war crimes since it invaded in February.

"He's still alive. Film these marauders. Look, he's still alive. He's gasping," a man in the video says while an apparent Russian soldier with a jacket covering his head, is seen breathing heavily, surrounded by a pool of blood.

A soldier then shoots the man in the head twice. The man keeps moving, so the soldier shoots him again, and he stops.

At least three other Russian soldiers, including one with a head wound and his hands tied behind his back, can be seen dead next to the victim. The dead men are all wearing camouflage and three of them have white armbands often worn by Russian soldiers.

The soldiers who are alive in the video, including the apparent shooter, are wearing Ukrainian colors of blue and yellow on their arms. They can be heard saying "glory to Ukraine" several times.

Who Really Committed War Crimes in Bucha?

Lurid and false atrocity stories have been used before to encourage Western involvement in unnecessary wars.
By Christopher Roach

... Four, the timeline of reports creates real doubts about whether Russia perpetrated the Bucha Massacre. It is widely acknowledged that Russian forces left Bucha on March 30. Then, Bucha’s mayor happily announced their withdrawal on March 31 without any mention of massacres, bodies in the streets, or other war crimes.

Finally, the Ukrainian SBU said it was moving into Bucha on April 2 to conduct a “cleansing” operation against saboteurs and traitors.

The photos of the dead only appeared on April 2, and Zelenskyy soon appeared in order to give international journalists a tour. Reuters and the New York Times have also posted Maxar satellite images apparently showing bodies in the streets earlier on March 19. This is not as compelling as it might otherwise be; bodies left outside for two weeks would not be in the condition seen in the April 2 photos, but instead would be significantly decomposed. If there were bodies on the street earlier in March—whether combatants or civilians—they had to be different people than the dead civilians on display from April 2.

Fifth, in at least some of the photos of Bucha , the victims appear to have white armbands—a sign of friendliness towards Russian forces and an indicator used by Russian forces themselves—and Russian-supplied emergency rations. Perhaps unsure of who was truly controlling the town as Russian forces were withdrawing and desperate for food to feed their families, these actions were deemed sufficient proof for collaboration and led the Ukrainian forces to shoot them. There is also some evidence that at least some of the victims may have been caught in an artillery barrage by Ukraine forces entering the city (or possibly Russian forces who had retreated).

Finally, the Ukrainians surely know that allegations of Russian atrocities—like earlier stories about Russia attacking nuclear plants and suggestions of Russia’s imminent use of chemical weapons—are the easiest way to manipulate the West into becoming a combatant. Similar “just so” stories had much to do with American involvement in the Syrian civil war. They were timed to appear just as the United States made noises about withdrawing. Stories about either genocide or the use of weapons of mass destruction in Ukraine are likely to amplify NATO’s already significant assistance to the Ukrainians.

Miss TW,

In the US, it works like this:

*Company grade officers are 01 through 03 - 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Lieutenant, and Captain. These are the officers 'down in the trenches', as it were. In the Russian tradition, these poor bastards are going to be out front providing a good example before they get the dead.

*Field grade officers are 04 through 06 - Major, Lieutenant Colonel, and full Colonel. These folks command the sub-units such as Squadrons, Battalions, Regiments, and Wings. In the Russian system, they tend to be a lot closer to the fight than we get.

*Flag Officers are Generals and Admirals, 07 through 010 - Brigadier General, Major General, Lieutenant General, and full General. In Western practice they tend to stay some distance behind the lines to the point where they will likely never hear any of the shooting. In Russian practice, these guys are expected if necessary to go forward and die to correct any errors.

Arabia
New top Yemeni govt. official promises to work towards peace
[An Nahar] The new head of Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
's internationally recognized government has said that the council he was chosen to lead will work to end the country's grinding, eight-year civil war.

In his first televised address, Rashad al-Alimi thanked his government's backers —Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
and the United Arab Emirates — which have been helping Yemeni government forces fight the Iran-backed Iran's Houthi sock puppets
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
rebels for years.

Al-Alimi's speech comes as both sides trade accusations of breaking the week-old internationally brokered cease-fire that was ushered in at the start of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. The truce is supposed to last two months but many similar efforts in Yemen's conflict have floundered in the past.

On Thursday, Yemen's exiled president Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi stepped aside in a move likely orchestrated in Riyadh, and transferred his powers to the presidential council lead by al-Alimi.

"This is a council of peace, but it is also a council of defense and strength," he said.

The country's new head of government made no mention of any compromise with the Houthis. He thanked the U.N. and U.S. envoys to Yemen for their efforts but also praised all who attempted to "take back the country and its institutions."

On Friday, both sides said they had documented some 80 violations of the cease-fire in just the past day, in reports published on their official media. The United Nations

Missouri Supreme Court sides with John Solomon in Sunshine Law case against St. Louis prosecutor
[JUSTTHENEWS] The Missouri Supreme Court ordered on Friday that St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner comply with a public records request from Just the News Editor-in-Chief John Solomon regarding the prosecution of former Gov. Eric Greitens.

Solomon filed a public records request in July 2019 under Missouri's Sunshine Law for about two and a half years' worth of communications between Gardner's office and the Missouri Workforce Housing Association, state Representatives Stacy Newman and Jay Barnes, along with several other groups and individuals.

Gardner is one of the first big-city district attorneys bankrolled by liberal megadonor Soros.

The public records request sought documents related to Gardner's fizzled 2018 prosecution of Greitens, who resigned from the governorship less than two years into his term.

The prosecutor accused Greitens of felony invasion of privacy for allegedly threatening to release a photo of his partially nude girlfriend if she talked about their affair. However,
alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk...
Gardner had to drop the case after admitting she lacked the alleged photo and facing the prospect of being called as a witness in the case by Greteins' lawyers.

Initially, Gardner ignored the public records request and then claimed that the documents did not fall under the state's Sunshine Law. Solomon's suit alleged that Gardner's refusal was a knowing violation of the law and sought release of the records, civil penalties and attorneys' fees.

The state Supreme Court refused to hear Gardner's final appeal on Thursday. On Friday, the court sent the case back to trial court, while ordering that her office produce the requested records within 30 days. The court also ordered that Solomon be paid attorney's fees and costs for the appeal.
Update from Breitbart at 10:20 a.m. courtesy of Skidmark:
The Missouri Supreme Court on Friday affirmed a lower court’s ruling that ordered St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner to turn over more than two years’ worth of communication records with billionaire Democrat megadonor George Soros.

Just the News editor John Solomon filed a public records request under Missouri law in 2019 seeking communications records between Gardner’s office and Soros, the Soros Fund Management, and Soros’ Open Society Foundation in connection with Gardner’s prosecution of former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens (R) in 2018.

In addition to Soros and his groups, the request sought communications records between Gardner and the Missouri Workforce Housing Association, two state representatives, and several other individuals and groups.

Friday’s order comes just days before Gardner is scheduled to have a disciplinary hearing, after Missouri Chief Disciplinary Counsel Alan Pratzel accused her of professional misconduct and concealing evidence in her investigation into Greitens. Gardner could potentially lose her license to practice law in Missouri if the ethics violations charges are sustained at Monday’s hearing.

Gardner launched a politically charged investigation into Greitens in 2018 after the former governor was accused of having an affair and blackmailing the woman with compromising photos while in office. Instead of having the St. Louis Police Department investigate these allegations, Gardner hired former FBI agent William Tisaby to conduct the investigation.

Last month, Tisaby pled guilty to evidence tampering and was sentenced to probation after facing six felony counts of perjury and one count of evidence tampering in connection with the Greitens investigation.

Gardner dropped an invasion of privacy charge against Greitens after a judge determined she would have to testify under oath as part of the case.

Greitens was forced to resign as governor during Gardner’s investigation and announced March of 2021 he would run for the U.S. Senate in 2022.

Saudi Arabia to allow one million hajj pilgrims this year
[AlAhram] Saudi Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Fifteen of the nineteen WTC hijackers were Saudis, and most major jihadi commanders were Saudis, to include Osama bin Laden. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman quietly folded that tent in 2016, doing terrible things to the guys running it, and has since been dragging the kingdom into the current century...
said Saturday it will permit one million Moslems from inside and outside the country to participate in this year's hajj, a sharp uptick after pandemic restrictions forced two years of drastically pared-down pilgrimages.

targeting a number of positions in the central region," SANA reported, citing a military source.

The news agency said air defenses were activated and intercepted some of the Israeli missiles over the Hama province. It said damage from the strikes was still being assessed. Syria regularly claims to intercept Israeli missiles, though military analysts doubt such assertions.

Local reports said explosions were seen near the town of Masyaf and nearby areas in the west of government-controlled Hama province. Photos posted to social media showed large plumes of smoke in the area.

While alleged Israeli attacks in Syria typically take place under the cover of darkness, Saturday’s strike was conducted at around 6:45 p.m. while the sun was still out, according to SANA.

The area around Masyaf, which is thought to be used as a base for Iranian forces and pro-Iranian militias, has been repeatedly targeted in recent years in attacks widely attributed to Israel.

The area is also home to a facility belonging to the Scientific Studies and Research Center, known as CERS, which itself has been struck several times in the past.

Western officials have long associated CERS with the manufacture of chemical arms. According to the United States, sarin gas was developed at that center, a charge denied by the Syrian authorities.

In early March, Israeli strikes near Damascus killed two officers from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, the Islamic republic’s ideological army. The Guards vowed to avenge the killings and subsequently launched strikes on what they claimed was an Israeli "strategic center" in Iraq’s autonomous Kurdistan region.

IDF raids Jenin home of terrorist who killed 3 in Tel Aviv; Islamic Jihad man killed
[IsraelTimes] 13 Paleostinians said maimed in festivities after button men open fire; Israeli forces map Ra’ad Hazem’s home for demolition, seek to arrest his father but don’t find him

Israeli security forces on Saturday raided the West Bank home of the terrorist who carried out the deadly shooting attack in Tel Aviv on Thursday night.

The Israel Defense Forces said Paleostinian button men opened fire toward troops operating in the city of Jenin and other nearby villages. In footage posted online, heavy gunfire was heard in the area. The IDF said there were no Israeli casualties.

After several hours, Israeli troops left the Jenin refugee camp.

Security forces said three people were arrested in the raid, including a gunman who was seriously maimed in a firefight and taken by military helicopter to the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa for treatment.

According to reports, the military sought to arrest the father of Ra’ad Hazem, the terrorist who killed three people when he shot up a Tel Aviv bar on Thursday evening, but he was not home at the time of the operation. Hazem’s father, Fathi, is a former security prisoner who previously served as an officer in the Paleostinian Authority’s security services in Jenin. He has refused an Israeli request to be questioned.

According to the Paleostinian reports, the troops in Jenin on Saturday gathered evidence from the Hazem family home and questioned others relatives at the scene. The reports said that relatives of Hazem are suspected of assisting him in preparations for the attack as well as helping him carry it out.

The Shin Bet security agency has said Hazem had "no clear organizational affiliation, no security background and no previous arrests."

In addition to the searches, the Hazem family home was mapped out by troops ahead of a potential demolition. Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan ousted in assembly no-confidence vote
[JUSTTHENEWS] Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who isn't your heaviest-duty thinker, maybe not even among the top five...
was tossed out of office early Sunday morning in Pakistain, with the country's main legislative body voting by a bare majority in favor of a no-confidence measure directed at the now-former leader.

Members of the opposition party in Pakistain's National Assembly voted 174-168 in favor of the no-confidence resolution, securing a razor-thin margin in favor of throwing out Khan, a former cricket star turned political leader.

Members of Khan's party had earlier staged walkouts in opposition to the process. The parliamentarian speaker of the house had also resigned in protest.

While no Pak prime minister has ever completed a full term in the country's 75-year history, Khan is the first Pak prime minister to be removed from office through a no-confidence measure. The prime minister had earlier tried to dissolve parliament in an attempt to head off efforts to oust him.

Critics had alleged that Khan had mismanaged the country's economic affairs. Khan, meanwhile, has called upon his supporters to stage nationwide demonstrations in opposition to the efforts to unseat him.

Israel tightens restrictions on West Bank’s Jenin, source of terrorism and clashes
[IsraelTimes] But defense minister indicates more lenient Ramadan policies toward Paleostinians will continue elsewhere; says he’ll expedite plan to fix gaps in security barrier

Israeli authorities imposed new restrictions Saturday on the West Bank governorate of Jenin, which has seen repeated firefights between Israeli soldiers and Paleostinian button men and from which the perpetrators of two recent major terror attacks hailed.

The Jalameh and Rihan checkpoints in the Jenin area will be closed for Arab Israelis to enter and exit, according to Israel’s military liaison to the Paleostinians, which is widely known by its acronym COGAT.

The crossings are a key economic artery for the city. Arab Israelis regularly enter to shop in Jenin, and the Ramadan holy month is a crucial time for businesses to get in the black.

At the same time, Defense Minister Benny Gantz indicated Israel would continue its policy of loosening some restrictions for West Bank Paleostinians during Ramadan, after previously warning the more relaxed policies could be "threatened by terrorism."

Israel has eased freedom of movement for Paleostinians who wish to attend Friday prayers at Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa Mosque during the Moslem holy month, including allowing kids, women, and some men entry without permits.

Gantz said the army "will continue and intensify" operations "alongside the continuation of civil policy as was agreed" — a reference to the eased restrictions.

According to the Defense Ministry, Gantz will also bring a plan to invest NIS 360 million ($111 million) to plug gaps the West Bank security barrier to the cabinet for approval on Sunday, after recent terror attacks committed by Paleostinians who snuck through gaps in the fence.

In addition to the crossings being closed, Paleostinian businessmen from Jenin holding elite permits issued by the Israeli army will also be banned, although ordinary day laborers will be permitted through the crossing as usual, COGAT said.

Jenin’s Paleostinians residents will also be banned from visiting first-degree relatives in Israel. Authorities permit some Paleostinians to conduct family visits during Ramadan as a gesture to Paleostinians during the holy month.

Jenin governor Akram Rajoub slammed the Israeli restrictions as "collective punishment," saying it would only lead to more violence.

"When you punish all of Jenin, prevent commerce and workers, you push people into a corner. Expect them to do anything," Rajoub told The Times of Israel.

Rajoub declined to condemn the murderous Moslems behind recent attacks who hailed from the area. He also distanced himself from Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas

Earlier in the investigation, police indicated she may have been targeted in the attack, possibly by someone she knew.

Open-ended question.
Been noticing the Fed's and some Liberal State Agencies finally starting to arrest ANTI-FArt/BLoM members.

Is it because they see the handwriting on the wall with the upcoming Mid-terms and they want to keep a job or what?

Liberals and Radicals demand Free Speech and the Right to be heard. They just don't want the facts that expose their crimes, fallacies of agenda, or opinions other than their own to be heard.

There are words that define such actions and agendas.
Many of these words are the very words that the Liberals and Radicals claim to be fighting or falsely apply to others.

The BLM agenda is openly Racist and its actions and protests historically mimic the Fascist suppression tactics of the 1920-1940's.

One has to ask given their abusive agenda, is BLM being led, funded, and supported by Anti-USA sponsors?

Putin calls in the Butcher of Syria: General who helped Assad as he used chemical weapons is tasked with rescuing disastrous Ukraine invasion after '19,000 troops' died in push to Kyiv - as Russia prepares new assault in East
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News]
  • Captain General
There ain't no such rank. They mean colonel general.
Aleksandr Dvornikov has been dubbed as the 'Butcher of Syria'

  • From 2016, Dvornikov oversaw Russia's brutal intervention in the middle east that helped Syrian president Bashar al-Assad crush his enemies in the civil war

  • He is also believed to be man behind attack on Kramatorsk railway station Friday

  • Now, he has been ordered by Putin to take charge of seizing the whole of Donbas

What bullshit. He's already "seized" 90% or more of the Donbas. This is just mopping up. It's so obvious that the Russians have achieved their main objectives that even this shit tabloid has to under the qualifier "all of" as a way of recognizing the fact that it's practically finished in the Donbas. Even the notorious liars at the London tabloids aren't willing to deny that Russia us just finishing up now in the East and South.

Ukraine's Defense Minister is hysterically begging the EU for more weapons, saying that they're on their last legs and nearly out of supplies and materiel. Why does this site link to bullshit planted in the garbage press instead of interviews with the desperate Ukrainian officials?

"Grisly video footage emerged Wednesday showing Ukrainian forces shooting and killing a wounded Russian soldier on a road west of Kyiv."

""Look, he's still alive. He's gasping," a man in the video says while an apparent Russian soldier with a jacket covering his head, is seen breathing heavily, surrounded by a pool of blood. A soldier then shoots the man in the head twice. The man keeps moving, so the soldier shoots him again, and he stops"

they are:

Slovyansk
Kramatorst
Sievierodonetsk

the last of these is very close to the Russian position but all three have considerable defense in place

Ukraine is evacuating civilians from these places as well as the smaller cities and towns in anticipation of Russian attacks.

On the other hand there are some cities in Russian occupied territory that are close to the Ukrainian lines and could be taken if matters go that way

#18  Putin Probably Knows Why The Mayor Of Moscow's Wife Gave The Biden Family $3.5 Million

Of course he does. This is why the Biden Administration and its media mouthpieces are so hysterically trying to distract us with fake news about the course of the war.

Calling Putin a "war criminal" is the ultimate redirect from the fact that Biden and his family are themselves real criminals.

#19  The best way to try to keep everyone off the trail that leads to Biden being convicted of influence-peddling is to keep the war on the front pages for as long as possible. Any normal or rational leader would want to end the war and end the sanctions, but Biden is doing everything possible to prolong the killing.

This keeps Biden's family's crimes off the front page and allows Biden to pretend to be a serious leader instead of being seen as the compromised criminal he is.

#21  Yuri Luzhkov was Putin's rival for the presidency back at the end of the Yeltsin era. He was the most corrupt politician in Russia. His ex-wife wired $3.5 million directly to Hunter Biden - for what, the Bidens have never said.

Putin obviously has the goods on Hunter Biden and his dad. The Chinese obviously do as well ... see Hunter's comments about how his partner Philip Ho was "the f*ckin' spy chief of China". Not true literally but Ho and CEFC were in fact agents of the CCP and instruments by which it entraps corrupt foreign politicians.

The point is, Joe Biden has been compromised by both the Chinese and the Russians.

Everything we hear from them and their media tools about this war has to be adjusted for this fact.

Yes, ending the war and relieving the burden of sanctions on the French publique (and the world) is exactly what Macron and Le Pen are trying to achieve. It's crazy to prolong the war. The only reason for doing so, is that Biden personally stands to gain from it.

#25  It's crazy to prolong the war

Actually it makes sense if you're a Washington lobbyist or part of the MIC. When Ukraine is completely destroyed and Congress (plus Nato, the EU, the World Bank etc) allocates hundreds of billions in reconstruction and defense contracts, the opportunities for graft will be immense.

Remember James Biden's three-man "construction" company that miraculously won a billion dollar contract to help rebuild Iraq?

Rebuilding and rearming Ukraine will be the Mother of All Boondoggles for our swamp critters. The worse the Ukrainians get pounded, the more money flowing into the pockets of the Bidens and other D.C. grifters.

#31  Yes, the Military-Industrial Complex. Trailing Wife is correct.

The MIC will make tens of billions off of arms sales to Ukraine.

The reconstruction effort will cost at least as much, probably 2x as much, as Washington pissed away on rebuilding Iraq and Afghanistan.

As of 2013 Iraq had already cost the US over $60 billion - $40 billion for reconstruction, $20 billion for training Iraqi troops. The Special IG for Iraq Reconstruction found that much of that $60 billion was wasted.

Same for Afghanistan, where we threw away $90 billion by 2013.

Not unreasonable to expect that we and the EU will waste $200 billion in reconstruction and military aid to Ukraine over the next 10 years. If Biden can keep the war going another year, then the piñata could swell to $300 billion.

Brother James Biden must be salivating at the thought.

Trump calls for an end to ‘woke war on women' at North Carolina rally: Former president says 'far-left gender theories' are 'child abuse' and that public schools have replaced 'reading and math with pronouns and gender studies'
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News]
  • Trump was speaking about how he wanted Republicans to take back both houses of Congress in 2022 and ban teaching of 'far-left gender theories'

  • 'A Republican Congress must stand up for parental rights and parental choice, I think that's a good idea,' he said

  • 'No teacher should ever be allowed to teach far-left gender theories to our children without parental consent,' he added. 'It's truly child abuse'

  • He then honed in on the public education system, which he believes has 'traded reading and math for pronouns and gender studies'

  • Trump argued a Republican Congress should allow parents to send their children to any public, private or charter school of their choice

  • 'Our government-run education system has forfeited the trust of American parents, they really, really have'

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards seize foreign fuel-smuggling boat, detain 11 crew members
[AlAhram] Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have seized a foreign boat smuggling fuel in the Gulf and arrested its 11 crew members, a senior justice official says.

"Naval forces have seized a foreign vessel carrying smuggled fuel in Persian Gulf waters," says Mojtaba Ghahramani, justice chief for Iran’s southern Hormozgan province, state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
reports.

"Over 220,000 liters of smuggled fuel were seized and 11 foreign crew members were detained for investigation," Ghahramani says.

Ghahramani did not specify the date the boat was seized, nor the origin of the vessel or nationality of the crew.

The Guards also captured an "Iranian boat carrying 20,000 liters of smuggled diesel, intended to supply the foreign ship" and arrested three crew members, Ghahramani adds, noting the seizure was made "in the territorial waters" of Iran.

The incident comes in the wake of a series of seizures of vessels in the sea lanes serving the Gulf, where a large portion of the world's oil is produced and shipped.

In November, Iran announced the arrest of a foreign boat carrying 150,000 litres of smuggled diesel and the arrest of 11 foreign crew members, without disclosing further details.

That seizure came days after Iran announced the release of the Vietnamese-flagged MV Sothys tanker, which they had seized in October.

2 teens stabbed, one fatally, during parade for HS basketball team
[NYPOST] Two teenage girls were stabbed — one of them fatally — during a parade celebrating the Mount Vernon High School basketball team’s state championship season on Friday, police said.

What began as a city-wide celebration turned to tragedy at around 3:55 p.m. when cops found the two stabbed teens and multiple women fighting near the end of the parade route, according to a statement from the city.

One of the girls suffered non-life threatening injuries while the other victim, a 16-year-old, was "gravely injured" and died as she was being rushed to Jacobi Medical Center.

"I am devastated and completely outraged," Mayor Shawyn Patterson Howard said in a statement.

"We began our day celebrating the greatness and success of our youth and we ended it with a young life that has been taken by senseless and inexcusable violence," Howard said. "The mental emotional and spiritual health of our community especially of our children must be the priority and we must come together."

The parade kicked off around 11 a.m. with members of the Mount Vernon Knights’ undefeated team snaking through the city in a police-escorted motorcade, passing by 15 other schools city schools before ending at Mount Vernon City Hall for a ceremony where the team was honored for its 12th state title.

Bandits have attacked Adei Village of Kutura station in Tantatu Ward under Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing two indigenes of the community and burning down houses.

One of the male victims had his head and hands chopped off after he was killed by the bandidos during the attack.

The attack is yet to be confirmed by the police or Kaduna State Government but a former chairman of Kajuru Local Government Area told Channels Television that the bandidos first attacked some of the adjoining communities on Tuesday, burning down houses and shooting sporadically within the community.

According to Channels Television, over 30 houses and a church of the Evangelical Church Winning All were set ablaze during the attack, with residents fleeing the community.

Arabia
Supreme Political Council of Yemen: Humanitarian issues take precedence over military and political
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The Supreme Political Council of Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
has on Saturday confirmed that "dealing with the humanitarian file is the test and the real indicator of the success of the truce and the transition to positive steps after it."In its meeting, headed by President Mahdi al-Mashat, the Council stressed that "the correct dialogue in the beginning is with the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition, and the humanitarian file and the lifting of the siege take precedence over the military and political aspects."

The meeting discussed the current developments on the national arena, in the light of the armistice announced by the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
At the meeting, the Supreme Political Council stressed the necessity of Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
’s commitment to lifting the blockade, removing all obstacles to the ships’ arrival at the port of Hodeidah and opening Sanaa International Airport. The Council said it considered this as the way to deal with the rest of the issues, and said that any delay in this will shake confidence in the credibility of the truce.

The Supreme Political Council reiterated its firm stance towards honourable peace.

The meeting also dealt with the actions taken by the coalition recently in Riyadh under the so-called "consultations" and the accompanying launch of the so-called "leadership council" as an alternative to the nominal rule of the exiled Abdrabbuh Mansuur Hadi and Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar.

In this regard, the Council affirmed that "the Yemeni people are not concerned with illegal measures issued by an illegal party outside the country," noting that "what happened in replacing the roles of mercenaries should serve as a lesson to the rest of the mercenaries, as there is no legitimacy granted by the aggression countries."

The Supreme Political Council praised the awareness of the Yemeni people, who "became aware of all the conspiracies that the coalition is hatching to undermine their willpower and steadfastness and the great sacrifices they made for the soil of the country."

During the meeting, the Council affirmed that it seeks by all means to alleviate the suffering of the citizens caused by the continuation of obstacles to the arrival of fuel ships. It also called for the release of the captives on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan under the rule of releasing all those held by Yemen in exchange for all those held by the coalition.

Government Corruption
Jan. 6 defendant backs out of plea deal after judge acquits other accused rioter
[WashingtonExaminer] A man charged in the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol backed out of a deal to plead guilty just days after a federal judge declared another defendant not guilty in the first acquittal connected to the attack.

Shawn Witzemann previously came to a deal to plead guilty to four misdemeanor charges next week, but he changed his mind after U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden granted a full acquittal to another defendant who was charged with entering a restricted building. Facing similar charges, Witzemann told prosecutors on Thursday that he would seek a similar fate.

"He didn't want to plead guilty to begin with, but he was afraid to trust the judicial system in D.C.," said Guy Womack, who represents Witzemann, according to NBC.

Witzemann was arrested last April on four charges, including entering and remaining in a restricted building, disruptive conduct in a restricted building, violent mostly peaceful entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, and demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.

Investigators connected Witzemann to the attack after discovering he livestreamed his conduct inside the Capitol building on Facebook, according to court documents. He later admitted to federal officials he was inside the building, noting he often travels to demonstrations to provide live coverage.

"He was acting as a journalist," Womack said.

McFadden earlier this week absolved former federal contractor Matthew Martin of his charges connected to the Jan. 6 riot after his attorneys demonstrated he may have believed he was being waved into the Capitol building by coppers. The decision was the first acquittal in connection to the Jan. 6 riot, setting the stage for other defendants to challenge courts to avoid charges.

More than 775 people have been charged in connection to the Jan. 6 riot, with more than 225 pleading guilty. Martin was only the third to go to trial so far after McFadden found Couy Griffin, the co-founder of "Cowboys for Trump," guilty on March 17 and a federal grand jury found Guy Wesley Reffitt guilty on three counts just a week earlier.

Witzemann will appear before Judge Thomas F. Hogan to plead his case and could face jail time if convicted.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Georgia inmate charged decades later in 1982 killing of Army private
[NYPOST] A convicted murderer serving a life sentence for an unrelated killing has been indicted by a Georgia grand jury in connection with the death of an Army private who was found dead on the side of a road from a gunshot blast decades ago.

Marcellus McCluster, 64, was served with an arrest warrant for the death of René Dawn Blackmore at a correctional facility near Augusta, where he is incarcerated for a 1983 Stewart County murder conviction. The indictment charges him with one count of malice murder and four alternative counts of felony murder, officials said.

Blackmore, 20, an Arizona native, was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia when she disappeared on April 29, 1982. She vanished while on the way back to her barracks from Columbus, the town outside the military installation.

A month later, her wallet and sweater were found on a roadside in nearby Cusseta, a few miles from the Army post.

On June 28, 1982, Blackmore’s remains were found off a logging road a few miles south of Chattahoochee County, Vic Reynolds, director of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, said during a Thursday news conference. It was determined she died from a shotgun blast.

Kimberly Schwartz, an assistant district attorney for the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit, noted there are no statute of limitations for murder.

"Out of all the crimes on all the books, this is the one crime that takes from the victim that fundamental right that we all have, which is the right to live out the rest of our lives that we’ve been given,’’ she said.

I am a firm believer in Executions should be conducted in the same matter that the murder was committed.

Commentary by Russian military blogger Andrey Chervonets

"Tochka-U" in Kramatorsk
THIS IS THE NUMBER!

I was waiting for this. I did not raise the topic, I decided to give the Ukrainian side time until Monday, and then ask the question - why are they hiding the serial number of the rocket that fell in Kramatorsk? The Ukrainian side never published it. But the journalists of the Italian TV channel La7 published , who managed to remove the fragments of the 9M79-1 rocket of the Tochka-U complex.

On the frames, the serial number of the product is Ш(Sh)91579. These are figures from the same batch as the missiles that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already used in Donbass. Reference: according to the LostArmour service, the Sh915 series ... was previously used by the Ukrainian military in the following settlements:

09/04/2014 Khartsizsk (Sh915622);
02/02/2015 Alchevsk (Sh91565);
02/13/2015 Logvinovo (Sh91566, Sh915527, Sh915328);
03/19/2022 Berdyansk (Sh915611);
03/17/2022 Melitopol (Sh915516).

This is the number of the Ukrainian rocket shot down near Debaltseve in 1515. The tail number on the product shows its belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. If we compare the number with the number of the rocket from Kramatorsk, we can see that they are not just from the same series, but even from the same military unit.

All this smacks of a real leak of the Nazis, who made and carried out the decision to strike at Kramatorsk. A deliberate mistake was made, the serial number of the rocket was shown to the whole world.

Kyiv is preparing another provocation, this time in Irpen

[Chervonec] The SBU plans to shoot a staged video of the “murder of Russian military men” who allegedly arrived in Irpin “to kill witnesses of Russian war crimes.”

The scenario is as follows:

“SBU employees are planning to bring from the morgue at the city hospital on Polevaya Street to the basement of one of the buildings on the eastern outskirts of Irpin the bodies of local residents killed by Ukrainian artillery shelling. Then, in the Pushcha-Voditsky forest area, the SBU will organize a staged action with shooting and “destruction” of the alleged “Russian intelligence group” that arrived in Irpin “to kill witnesses of Russian war crimes,” Major General Igor Konashenkov, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, said.

This is the brand "Ukrainian filmmakers". They don’t know how to govern a country, but they know how to create photos, videos, videos according to a pre-prepared scenario. It's time to introduce them to the Hollywood Academy for special merits in fooling people. A bunch of Western provocateurs-screenwriters are working in Ukraine... And they will churn out these provocations like on a conveyor belt... Filling their info space with fakes.

Both the monstrous provocation in Bucha and the one that is being prepared in Irpen are being carried out on the territory abandoned by the Russian troops. Left as a "sign of good will", according to our diplomats. But what "signs of good will" can be given to the Nazis during the war with them?! "Gesture of good will" at the talks from Medinsky is already coming around. A Zelensky drug addict with a Napoleon complex, and we are playing good Christians. It's time to understand with whom we are dealing.

Three members of Iranian-backed militias were killed by members of the same faction on Saturday east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
Green on green.
A member of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas Brigade killed three of his colleagues using a Kalashnikov gun in the outskirts of the al-Qoriya when the three men went out to deliver logistic supplies to the military sites, a military source of the Iranian-backed Quds Forces in al-Qoriya town, 50 km east of Deir ez-Zor, said.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the attacker killed the three men in order to steal weapons, mobile phones, and cash the three men were supposed to deliver to the military sites.

The killer, who hails from al-Sakhnah town, joined the faction only four months ago, the source said.

The Iranian-backed factions blocked the entrance and exit of the al-Qoriya and the towns nearby in order to catch the killer, the source said.
