Explosion shakes buildings in Tehran - report
Good Lord, another one?? Those spy squirrels are working overtime.
[Jpost] The explosion took place in northern Tehran in the basement of an old two-story house containing about 30 gas cylinders.

An explosion was heard in Tehran, shaking buildings in Iran's capital on Saturday night, according to international media.

Jalal Maleki, a spokesman for the Tehran Fire Department, stated that the explosion took place in northern Tehran in the basement of an old two-story house containing about 30 gas cylinders, according to the Iranian ISNA news. Several of the cylinders weighed five kilograms. The spokesman stated that a person who was injured in the basement was likely working with the cylinders, leading to the initial explosion.

Explosions were reported west of Tehran on Thursday night, with some initial reports claiming that the explosions occurred at a missile depot belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). Power outages were reported in the area after the explosions were heard.

Along with the denial of the explosion, Iranian media reported that the mayor of Garmdareh had stated that the explosion was caused by gas tanks, but it was later discovered that the quoted mayor had died over a year ago and that the quoted news was from years ago, according to the Independent Persian.
Time is not linear to Allah, donchaknow. Therefore the above is true.

Trump Tells Minnesota Governor to Go Jump In a Lake, Denies Request for ‘Disaster' Relief After Riots
[RedState] Some weeks ago, Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota made a request for federal disaster relief after hundreds of millions of dollars in destruction occurred in Minneapolis. That damage came at the hands of rioting and looting in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd.

Those cities burned because Walz and the local leadership refused to stop the carnage, even as people were injured and killed in the chaos. The President had urged Minnesota to deploy troops early on, something that wouldn’t happen until later, after the damage was already done. Instead of accepting Trump’s offering of active duty troops, Walz refused while Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey trashed the President’s urging to get tough and stop the anarchy.

Now, these two figures want taxpayers from other states to help pay for their political cowardice and Trump has given them an answer that I’ll summarize – Go jump in a lake.

The federal government has denied Gov. Tim Walz’s request for aid to help rebuild and repair Twin Cities structures that were damaged in the unrest following George Floyd’s death.

Walz asked President Donald Trump to declare a “major disaster” for the state of Minnesota in his request to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on July 2. More than 1,500 buildings were damaged by fires, looting and vandalism in the days of unrest that followed Floyd’s May 25 death in Minneapolis police custody, racking up more than $500 million in damages, according to Walz.

The governor’s spokesman, Teddy Tschann, confirmed late Friday that the request for federal aid was denied.

“The Governor is disappointed that the federal government declined his request for financial support,” Tschann said in a statement. “As we navigate one of the most difficult periods in our state’s history, we look for support from our federal government to help us through.”

CDC data highlight racial disparities in spread, scope of COVID-19 pandemic
h/t Instapundit
[UPI] - More than 34 percent of Hispanic and Latin Americans who died from COVID-19 across the United States were younger than 65, an analysis released Friday by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found.

About 30 percent of black Americans who died from COVID-19 also were younger than 65, compared to just over 13 percent of white Americans younger than 65 who died from the disease, CDC said.

Just over 20 percent of all COVID-19 deaths in the United States have been adults under age 65, the agency said.

...In all, Hispanic and Latin Americans accounted for one in four deaths from COVID-19, the CDC found, even though they constitute just under 19 percent of the U.S. population, according to census data.

...African Americans made up about 20 percent of all COVID-19 deaths, even though they account for just over 13 percent of the U.S. population based on census data, CDC said.

The latest CDC findings on the impact of COVID-19 are based on an analysis of data through May 18. At that time, more than 1.3 million cases of the disease were confirmed across the United States, resulting in 83,000 deaths, the agency said.

Through Friday afternoon, more than 3.1 million confirmed cases and more than 133,000 deaths were reported in this country, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

#2  To answer my own question: Efforts to examine SARS-CoV-2 transmission and COVID-19-associated deaths among different racial and ethnic groups “could lead to targeted, community-level, mortality prevention initiatives,” CDC researchers wrote.

“These campaigns could encourage social distancing and the need for wearing cloth face coverings in public settings,” they wrote.

But the summary posted overlooks some interesting conclusions: The CDC analysis also showed that, as of May 18, approximately 60 percent of those who died from COVID-19 in the United States were male.

More than 75 percent of those who died have had at least one underlying medical condition, including 83 percent of those age 65 or younger, the CDC said.

Heart disease was the most common underlying health condition among COVID-19 deaths, at 61 percent, followed by diabetes at 40 percent, chronic kidney disease at 21 percent, and chronic lung disease at 19 percent, the agency said.

China-Japan-Koreas
China's Communist Party and the Tiger women now influencing the very heart of the Establishment - one of whom gave £200k to a top Labour MP who argued against his party's opposition to a Chinese-funded nuclear plant
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Prominent Britons of Chinese heritage are very important in promoting China’s interests in the West. Christine Lee is a solicitor whose firm has offices in Beijing, Hong Kong and Guangzhou, as well as London.

Her links to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) go deep. She has been chief legal adviser to the Chinese embassy in London and a legal adviser to the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, an agency of the Communist Party’s vast network of influence overseen by its United Front Work Department.

These positions are unmistakable signs of her importance to the Party. Yet she is also the secretary of the Inter-Party China Group of the British parliament.

In 2006 she founded the British Chinese Project, whose stated aim is to ‘empower the UK Chinese community, making them aware of their democratic rights and responsibilities, whilst ensuring the needs and interests of the community are heard at a political level’. It sounds a very worthy multicultural enterprise

But its Chinese name has different echoes. It translates as ‘British Chinese Participation in Politics’, linking it to the huaren canzheng infiltration policy of the CCP to maximise political influence in democracies by promoting trusted people of Chinese heritage.

Lee’s involvement in British politics began during the prime ministership of Tony Blair, when she formed an alliance with Labour MP and minister Barry Gardiner, more recently Labour’s shadow international trade secretary.

Her law firm donated more than £200,000 to the MP and his constituency party. In 2007, while a Blair government minister, Gardiner became the chair of her British Chinese Project and the two of them embarked on a programme of making friends in Westminster, boosted by Gardiner’s formation in 2011 of ‘an all-party group to represent Chinese citizens in Britain’.

One of Lee’s children, Michael Wilkes, became its vice chairman while another son, Daniel, worked in Gardiner’s parliamentary office, with his salary paid by his mother’s firm.

The firm defended these political links: ‘Christine Lee & Co is proud of its record of public service and the support it has provided to the democratic process. We have never sought to influence any politician improperly or to seek any favours in return for the support that we have provided.’

How China seduced its useful idiots: Chinese communists infiltrated Britain to push their party line in a plan designed to blind us to Beijing's thirst for world domination, new book claims
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The disturbing extent of infiltration of the British Establishment by China is laid bare in a bombshell book serialised today in the Daily Mail.

Hidden Hand, written by a global authority on how the Chinese Communist Party covertly influences the West, reveals that officials have for years been cultivating contacts at the top of British politics and business.

The book claims senior politicians – on both the Right and the Left – are acting as ‘useful idiots’ to push the Chinese line at the top of government.

Many are in the 48 Group Club, a networking hub set up in the 1950s by members of the Communist Party of Great Britain.

The authors, Clive Hamilton and Mareike Ohlberg, say this group is one of the most glaring examples of the way ‘Beijing courts Britain’s elites’.

Lord Heseltine confirmed last night he was patron of the group but said he did not think anyone would believe he was part of a Communist conspiracy.

The book’s authors state: ‘In our judgement, so entrenched are the CCP’s influence networks among British elites that Britain has passed the point of no return, and any attempt to extricate itself from Beijing’s orbit would probably fail.’

The startling conclusion comes as Boris Johnson comes under mounting pressure to prevent Chinese tech giant Huawei from participating in the creation of Britain’s 5G network.

It emerged yesterday that Jesus College, Cambridge, had accepted £200,000 from the Chinese state and £155,000 from Huawei. The college produced a controversial ‘white paper’ on global communications reforms.

The book claims:

  • Prominent Britons of Chinese heritage are used by the Communist regime to promote the country’s interests, and have made contacts with David Cameron, Theresa May and Mr Johnson;

  • The City of London is falling under the sway of the Chinese, including banning a Taiwan float at the Lord Mayor’s parade;

  • The children of prominent Communist party officials – known as ‘princelings’ – are routinely given jobs in major international banks;

  • The Foreign Office has part-funded an organisation accused of helping the Communist propaganda machine to evade Western scrutiny;

  • China is increasingly employing ‘honey trap’ techniques to spy on senior figures – including one of Mr Johnson’s deputies when he was London mayor.

  • According to Hidden Hand, Beijing has been cultivating friends overseas who they see as ‘nothing more than those willing and able to promote China’s interests’.

The book says: ‘In Britain, there are many of these “useful idiots” – a term attributed to Lenin that described naive foreign enthusiasts for the Russian revolution.’

Patrons and fellows listed on the 48 Group Club’s website include former deputy PM Lord Heseltine, former foreign secretary Jack Straw and former prime minister Tony Blair.

The authors said: ‘The club has built itself into the most powerful instrument of Beijing’s influence and intelligence gathering in the UK. It is a who’s who of power elites’

Lord Heseltine said it was merely a forum for helping sell British exports to China. Mr Straw said he went to an event in 2007 and could recall no connections with it since.

A spokesman for Mr Blair said his office was unaware that he was a fellow and could see no reason why he should be.

'We're taking back the streets': Mayor Bill de Blasio orders MORE cops to be stationed across NYC to curb gun violence after weeks of bloodshed with 142% surge in shootings - despite slashing NYPD budget by $1billion
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Bill de Blasio unveiled his 'Take Back the Block' plan to curb gun violence Friday

  • The initiative focuses on increasing community involvement with civilians serving as 'violence interrupters'
    ...that certainly sounds clever...
"Blessed be the violence interrupters, for they will get shot."
  • It will also expand the police presence in violent hotspots including Harlem

  • De Blasio announced the plan nearly a week after Fourth of July weekend saw 63 people shot and at least 11 killed in New York City

  • Gun violence has surged more than 140 percent over the past month

  • NYPD officials blamed the surge on de Blasio's decision to cut $1billion from the department's budget and accused him of 'surrendering' the city to crime

Whatever happened to Stanford?
[RetractionWatch] Stanford prof ordered to pay legal fees after dropping $10 million defamation case against another scientist

A Stanford professor who sued a critic and a scientific journal for $10 million — then dropped the suit — has been ordered to pay the defendants’ legal fees based on a statute “designed to provide for early dismissal of meritless lawsuits filed against people for the exercise of First Amendment rights.”

Mark Jacobson, who studies renewable energy at Stanford, sued in September 2017 in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia for defamation over a 2017 paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) that critiqued a 2015 article he had written in the same journal. He sued PNAS and the first author of the paper, Christopher Clack, an executive at a firm that analyzes renewable energy.

At the time, Kenneth White, a lawyer at Southern California firm Brown White & Osborn who frequently blogs at Popehat about legal issues related to free speech, said of the suit:

It’s not incompetently drafted, but it’s clearly vexatious and intended to silence dissent about an alleged scientist’s peer-reviewed article.

In February 2018, following a hearing at which PNAS argued for the case to be dismissed, Jacobson dropped the suit, telling us that he “was expecting them to settle.” The defendants then filed, based on the anti-SLAPP — for “Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation” — statute in Washington, DC, for Jacobson to pay their legal fees.

In April of this year, as noted then by Forbes, District of Columbia Superior Court Judge Elizabeth Carroll Wingo, who has been presiding over the case, ruled that Jacobson would have to pay those fees. In that ruling, Wingo wrote that the Court

finds that the three asserted “egregious errors” are statements reflecting scientific disagreements, which were appropriately explored and challenged in scientific publications; they simply do not attack Dr. Jacobson’s honesty or accuse him of misconduct.

Jacobson appealed that decision, but Wingo upheld it in a June 25 order.

Jacobson could be on the hook for more than $600,000, the total of what the plaintiffs have told the court were their legal costs — $535,900 for PNAS, and $75,000 for Clack.

#2  When I was 11 years old I learned this song from a Stanford alumni rock climber.

Leland Stanford Junior Farm.mp3

My eyes are dim I can not see
I have not brought my specks with me
I have, hey, not, ho, brought my specks with me.
Oh it's beer, beer, beer that makes you want to cheer
On the farm, on the farm
It's beer, beer, beer that makes you want to cheer
On the Leland Stanford Junior Farm.

My eyes are dim I can not see
I have not brought my specks with me
I have, hey, not, ho, brought my specks with me.
Well it's gin, gin, gin that makes you want to sin
On the farm, on the farm
It's gin, gin, gin that makes you want to sin
On the Leland Stanford Junior Farm.

Chorus

It's whisky, whisky, whisky that makes you feel so frisky
On the farm, etc.

It's hot roast duck that makes you want a ...... SANDWICH
On the farm, on the farm.
Oh, it's hot roast duck that makes you want a sandwich
On the Leland Stanford Junior Farm

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Christopher Steele Court Case Exposes Shady New Spygate Dirt
[Federalist] A London court on Wednesday ruled in favor of two Alfa Bank principals in their lawsuit against Christopher Steele’s company, Orbis Business Intelligence, based on falsehoods the former MI6 spy peddled in his dossier.

The claimants in that case, gentleman of Russian and Ukrainian origin, had sued Orbis under the Data Protection Act of 1998, an English law designed to protect computerized personal information. In a 50-plus-page opinion, the court rejected many of the Alfa Bank executives’s arguments, but awarded the duo damages totaling approximately US$45,000 for Steele’s false assertion in the dossier that they had “deliver[ed] large amounts of illicit cash to the Russian president, at that time deputy Mayor of St. Petersburg.”

Along the way to the verdict, the court also revealed some interesting tidbits for Americans still seeking the truth about Spygate. Here’s what we learned:

1. Steele and the FBI Acted Unreasonably
To hold Steele liable under the Data Protection Act, the court needed to find that Steele had acted unreasonably in publishing Memorandum 112 of the dossier, which was dated Sept. 14, 2016, and which falsely accused the Alfa Bank owners of inappropriate relationships and activities with Vladimir Putin. The court first concluded that Steele took reasonable steps to ensure the accuracy of some of the dossier’s propositions, namely those that did not represent “grave allegation[s],” and thus were unlikely to result in anyone taking “any significant step adverse to any of the claimants … without further enquiry.”

But the assertion that the Alfa owners obtained “illicit cash” from Putin was a different matter, the court held, “because it is an allegation of serial criminal wronging over a prolonged period.” Here the court found that the steps Steele took “to verify that proposition fell short of what would have been reasonable.”

“Steele knew that his source did not have direct personal knowledge of the underlying facts, but could only be relying on hearsay,” the court explained, yet Steele “has failed to explain how that information would or could have come to the sub-source by virtue of his job.”

Trump confirms he OK'd US cyberattack against Russia in 2018: report
[FoxNews] President Trump acknowledged this week that in 2018 he authorized a covert U.S. cyberattack against a Russian “troll farm,” according to a report.

The attack targeted Russia’s Internet Research Agency, the St. Petersburg organization that led Russian efforts to disrupt the 2016 U.S. presidential election and was repeating its efforts ahead of the 2018 midterm elections, The Washington Post reported.

In an interview with Post columnist Marc A. Thiessen, Trump said he OK’d the U.S. operation after receiving an intelligence report about Russia’s activities.

“Look, we stopped it,” the president said, contrasting his action with what he claimed was former President Barack Obama’s reluctance to take action in 2016.

According to Thiessen, Trump claimed Obama “said nothing” about Russian interference that year because he thought Hillary Clinton was going to win the race for the White House against Trump.

Trump said Obama “knew before the election that Russia was playing around. Or, he was told. Whether or not it was so or not, who knows? And he said nothing. And the reason he said nothing was that he didn’t want to touch it because he thought [Clinton] was winning because he read phony polls. So, he thought she was going to win.“

Media Continue to Ignore That Both Parties Almost Always Agree That More War Is Good
[The Intercept] How the House Armed Services Committee, in the middle of a pandemic, approved a huge military budget and more war in Afghanistan.

While the country is subsumed by both public health and an unemployment crisis, and is separately focused on a sustained protest movement against police abuses, a massive $740.5 billion military spending package was approved last week by the Democratic-controlled House Armed Services Committee. The GOP-controlled Senate Armed Services Committee will almost certainly send the package with little to no changes to the White House for signing.

As we reported last week, pro-war and militaristic Democrats on the Committee joined with GOP Congresswoman Liz Cheney and the pro-war faction she leads to form majorities which approved one hawkish amendment after the next. Among those amendments was one co-sponsored by Cheney with Democratic Rep. Jason Crow of Colorado that impeded attempts by the Trump administration to withdraw troops from Afghanistan, and another amendment led by Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) and Cheney which blocked the White House’s plan to remove 10,000 troop stationed in Germany.

And then that's it. Tyranny, inescapable, forever. The global governance will have the resources of the entire planet at its disposal and will be able to crush any rebellions. The role of the former territory of the USA will be to serve as a cash cow for the rest of the planet. Doubtless they will mismanage things a bit and plunge our once-productive territory into grinding poverty. Eh, doesn't matter, as long as they can extract what they need. Think of us as a herd of farm animals under a neglectful farmer.

#6  The Serenity Prayer, magpie? Here is Wikipedia’s take:

The Serenity Prayer is a prayer written by the American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr[1][2] (1892–1971). It is commonly quoted as:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and wisdom to know the difference.[1]

Niebuhr's prayer originally asked for courage first, and specifically for changing things that must be changed, not things that simply can be changed:

Father, give us courage to change what must be altered, serenity to accept what cannot be helped, and the insight to know the one from the other.[3]

Niebuhr composed the prayer in 1932-33.

US Approves Sale of 105 F-35 Stealth Fighters to Japan
[Defense Post] The United States announced Thursday that it has approved the sale of 105 F-35 stealth aircraft to Japan for an estimated $23.11 billion.

Japan had asked to buy 63 F-35A, the traditional version of the electronics-laden fighter aircraft, and 42 F-35B, the short-takeoff and vertical-landing version for aircraft carriers, the State Department said in a statement.

Washington gave its green light to the transaction, which will improve "the security of a major ally" in the Asia-Pacific region, the statement noted.

"It is vital to US national interest to assist Japan in developing and maintaining a strong and effective self-defense capability," the State Department added.

Japan’s 2020/2021 defense budget is a record $50.3 billion, aimed at funding purchases of fighter jets and missile defense as the country eyes the threat from North Korea and China.

In response to the rapid modernization of the Chinese military, Japan has decided to acquire a total of 105 F-35A aircraft over the next decade, in addition to 42 F-35B aircraft.

At the end of 2018, the Japanese government approved a five-year defense plan that includes the entry of two aircraft carriers into its arsenal — a first since the end of World War II.

Joe Biden Says He Would Rescind Exemption for Little Sisters of the Poor
[National Review] Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden issued a statement Wednesday evening in which he said he is "disappointed in today’s U.S. Supreme Court decision" in the case Little Sisters of the Poor v. Pennsylvania.

"I will restore the Obama-Biden policy that existed before the [2014 Supreme Court] Hobby Lobby ruling," Biden said.
"Look, Fat! The First Amendment has to GO!"
The Supreme Court’s Little Sisters decision upheld the Trump administration’s rule exempting conscientious objectors from Obamacare’s birth-control and abortifacient mandate, but the decision did not address whether the mandate is itself a violation of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

Here’s Biden’s full statement:
Health care is a right that should not be dependent on race, gender, income or zip code. Yet as a result of today’s decision, countless women are at risk of losing access to affordable, preventive care.

I am disappointed in today’s U.S. Supreme Court decision that will make it easier for the Trump-Pence Administration to continue to strip health care from women — attempting to carve out broad exemptions to the Affordable Care Act’s commitment to giving all women free access to recommended contraception.

As a result of the Affordable Care Act, more than 60 million women — including at least 32 million women of color — gained access to this preventative health care. The Obama-Biden Administration did this while also providing an exemption for houses of worship and an accommodation for nonprofit organizations with religious missions.

As disappointing as the Supreme Court’s ruling is, there is a clear path to fixing it: electing a new President who will end Donald Trump’s ceaseless attempts to gut every aspect of the Affordable Care Act. If I am elected, I will restore the Obama-Biden policy that existed before the Hobby Lobby ruling: providing an exemption for houses of worship and an accommodation for nonprofit organizations with religious missions. The accommodation will allow women at these organizations to access contraceptive coverage, not through their employer-provided plan, but instead through their insurance company or a third-party administrator.

The so-called "accommodation" is the very policy that the Little Sisters of the Poor, an order of Catholic nuns that provide care to the elderly, were fighting in court on the grounds that the policy still required them to violate their moral and religious convictions.

Columnist Charles Krauthammer wrote in 2012 that the "accommodation" was was a "farce" and an "accounting trick" that was "morally meaningless":

Victor Davis Hanson - 'The Fragility of the Woke'
[National Review] A TikTok video that recently went viral on social media showed a recent Harvard graduate threatening to stab anyone who said "all lives matter." In her melodrama, she tried to sound intimidating with her histrionics.

She won a huge audience, as she intended. But her video also came to the attention of the company that was going to give her an internship later this summer, Deloitte, which decided it didn’t want to add an intern who threatened to kill strangers who said something she didn’t like.

This wouldn’t have been much of a story. But then the narcissistic Harvard alum posted a very different video — one that showed her weeping in a near-fetal position.

She fought back tears while complaining about how unfair the world had been to her. Her initial TikTok post had earned cruel pushback from the social-media jungle she had courted. Deloitte, she sobbed, was mean and hurtful. And she wanted the world to share her pain.

The Harvard grad instantly became an unwitting poster girl for the current protest movement and the violence that has accompanied it. What turns off millions of Americans about the statue toppling, the looting, the threats, and the screaming in the face of police is the schizophrenic behavior of so many of the would-be revolutionaries.

China-Japan-Koreas
China talks of US decoupling and a divided world
h/t Instapundit
[Nikkei Asia] - It has been a tense first week of July in the seas of Asia.

While two U.S. aircraft carriers, the USS Ronald Reagan and the USS Nimitz, launched hundreds of aircraft daily into the skies above the South China Sea, China was conducting naval exercises in the same sea. In a rare and symbolic move, the People's Liberation Army Navy also carried out live-fire drills in the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea.

Amid the tensions, one published article has been the talk of the town in many Chinese circles. Written on the assumption that the novel coronavirus will disrupt China and the world for an extended period, the content is highly controversial.

The article predicts industrial supply chains being torn up, a China-U.S. decoupling and a world split into dollar and yuan economic blocs.

The author is Zhou Li, a 65-year-old former deputy head of the Chinese Communist Party's International Liaison Department, a division in charge of party-led diplomacy. His views notably differ from the official Chinese government line; they are also radical.
"We regret to announce that Zhou Li tragically died of coronavirus."?
Zhou says Chinese must prepare:
    1. For the deterioration of Sino-U.S. relations and the full escalation of the struggle.

    2. To cope with shrinking external demand and a disruption of supply chains.

    3. For a new normal of coexisting with the novel coronavirus pandemic over the long term.

    4. To leave the dollar hegemony and gradually realize the decoupling of the yuan from the dollar.

    5. For the outbreak of a global food crisis.

    6. For a resurgence of international terrorism.

Zhou does not shy from painting a grim picture of the Chinese economy, and his wording clearly differs from that of official documents prepared by government bureaucrats.

"Many international economic organizations such as the International Monetary Fund have issued reports downgrading global economic growth this year to as much as minus 4.9%, the worst economic recession since the Great Depression in the 1930s," Zhou wrote.

The article goes on: "The order log at our exporters has been greatly reduced. Production at enterprises upstream and downstream has stalled. International transportation logistics have been blocked. Raw materials are lacking and plants are unable to deliver their products. This phenomenon is putting huge pressure on our stable growth and job security."

While not spelling it out, Zhou was hinting that China's current economic situation is so harsh that it too could post zero or negative growth.

It is precisely the "black swan" -- a serious incident that defies conventional wisdom and is unforeseen -- that President Xi Jinping has been warning about.

Furthermore, Zhou indicated that the yuan bloc is on its back foot. "The U.S. controls the main channel for international payment and clearing, namely through SWIFT," he wrote, noting that the international payment information of Chinese, Russian and Iranian companies is in Washington's hands.

Disrupted supply chains would inevitably deliver a blow to the 5G strategy of Chinese telecoms equipment maker Huawei.

If Zhou's predictions are correct, various future plans of Xi's would crumble.

Michigan Dem Warns Her Party: The Polls Showing Biden With A Big Lead Over Trump Are Wrong
[Hot Air] I knew there’d be plenty of poll truthers this summer and fall. I just didn’t expect a Democratic congresswoman to be one of them.

Part of what she says to Politico reporter Tim Alberta is common sense. Namely, if the polls could underestimate Trump’s support in 2016, they can do it again. Most pollsters are more attentive this year to making sure that white voters without a college degree are properly represented in their samples, as that’s the group that was undercounted in polling four years ago and ended up putting Trump over the top. Now that polling outfits are looking for them, they’re less likely to be undercounted again. But no one knows how many casual voters in that group who typically don’t turn out to vote will go to the polls for Trump this November. There may be more of them out there who didn’t show up in 2016 but are planning to do so in the fall.

Although, to believe that, you’d have to explain why they’d be motivated to turn out against Sleepy Joe Biden amid a pandemic that’s going terribly for the U.S. if they weren’t motivated to turn out against the deeply disliked Hillary Clinton when Trump was a fresh-faced outsider.

Another reason for what she says is Democratic fear of complacency. Every time a new poll drops showing Biden up 10 points, two groups of people scream. One is Republican activists (led by the president himself), who holler, "Suppression poll! They’re trying to demoralize us so that we stay home!" The other is Democratic activists, who holler, "Complacency poll! They’re trying to convince us that the race is in the bag so that we stay home!" I think that’s partly what’s driving Elissa Slotkin’s suspicions here.

She’s understandably spooked that her home state of Michigan, which was supposed to be safely blue in 2016, might have another surprise waiting for Democrats. And she has special reason to fear it, as her home district leans slightly Republican (R+4). She was one of the purple-district Dems who swept to victory in the blue wave two years ago. Then she turned around and voted to impeach last year, pissing off the Republican majority in her district. She’s sending a signal here to Democrats in her district: I need every vote on Election Day to survive. Assume nothing based on the polls.

Warrant Served On St. Louis Couple Who Defended Private Property, Rifle Confiscated, Report Says
[DailyWire] Law enforcement officials in St. Louis have allegedly served a warrant on the St. Louis couple who recently defended their home when a large mob of angry demonstrators allegedly trespassed onto their private property.

“5 On Your Side has learned St. Louis police officers executed a search warrant Friday evening at the home of Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the Central West end couple who confronted protesters with weapons in June,” KSDK News reported. “Sources tell 5 On Your Side police seized one of the weapons, the rifle, from the couple and they told police their attorney has the pistol seen in photos.”

Attorney Harmeet K. Dhillon responded to the news by tweeting, “Missouri is a Castle Doctrine state, permitted among the broadest latitudes of any state in using even deadly force to protect yourself or your property. This couple used NO force, despite the imminent threat from a trespassing mob. The seizure of weapons is government overreach.”

The left-wing demonstrators returned to the couple’s home last week and were met by private security that was guarding the home.

“When about 300 protesters returned Friday — holdings signs reading ‘Black Lives Matter. Period’ and ‘No Justice, No Peace’ — a more subdued Mark McCloskey could be seen peering out from his balcony while his wife appeared to be shooting video of the marchers on her mobile phone,” the New York Post reported. “The photos also show private security guards setting up barricades and securing the gate prior to Friday’s new demonstration.”

Mark McCloskey, who guarded his private property with an AR-15, told a local news station following the incident, “We were threatened with our lives, threatened with the house being burned down, my office building being burned down, even our dog’s life being threatened. It was about as bad as you can get. You know, I really thought it was the storming of Bastille, that we would be dead and the house would be burned and there was nothing we could do about it. It was a huge and frightening crowd and they broke in the gate and they were coming at us.”

St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner, a Democrat, claimed that the McCloskey’s defending their private property was a “violent assault” and that authorities “will use the full power of Missouri law to hold people accountable.”

Albert Watkins, the McCloskeys’ attorney, told Fox News that “If Kimberly Gardner wants to press charges against two attorneys who are protecting their home and their family and themselves on their own property, I will tell you that it will be nothing short of the proverbial cluster f***.”

Why It Sucks to be a Democrat in 2020
[Federalist] No one should feel sorry for the Democratic Party because they are reaping what they’ve sown.

From elected officials like Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) calling for the dismantling of America’s "oppressive" economic and political systems -- to the violent third world-like cities they run -- the Democratic Party is in a death spiral of its own making.

We should be thankful.

Democrats have had plenty of time to get it right. The Democratic Party is the oldest voter-based political party globally and the longest existing one in the United States. You’d think wisdom would come with time.

Instead, look at them. All you see is negativity. They think America is evil because they filter everything through the prism of lies, hate, doom and despair. There once was a difference between Marxists and Democrats. No longer. That’s what they get for sleeping with the enemy.

Now they hate America the same way tyrannical governments do.

They say America is evil. Tell that to the desperate protesters in Hong Kong. (They have a window to America’s future if Democrats gain control.) Leftists ignore that Hong Kong protesters are not demanding the regime gets woke; they want freedom. They aren’t waving BLM and rainbow flags; they’re waving the American flag. Too bad we can’t trade out five leftists for every Hong Kong protester.

Democrats destroy everything they touch.

Consider their accomplishments: They banned school prayer, legalized abortion and support infanticide. They’ve secularized society, replaced God with government and personal charity with social justice. They’ve substituted religion for reason, blurred the lines between males and females and destroyed the nuclear family. They’ve lorded over the destruction of America’s youth, brainwashing kids to the point they hate America, their parents and themselves.

#3  On the one hand, why single out 2020? The only consistency the 'dems' have ever shown in my lifetime at least is an Eyore-ish misery of varying degrees of motivation. To hear them explain it, it's because A) they really KNOW what's going on, man, and B) they feel sooo much more than everybody else. Right.

On the other hand, the time is long past to play make believe with the ridiculous idea that you can live with socialists and communists. This isn't the irascible local nut and oddball replete with his black socks, sandals, and windy predictions, comes da rahvolyushyun! They are purely malignant with one real demand, Submit or die.

What other point is there to demanding lip service to an ever increasing number of genders. '2 + 2 most assuredly does NOT equal 4' and other such intellectual gems before which the entire population is supposed to cower. Right now it's just battlefield preparation, but it won't stop there.

The Islamist, dumb brute that he is, will historically retreat to his own miserable location given a stout blow to the snout. The socialist and communist will NEVER stop, unless stopped more permanently.

Catherine Herridge Highlights British Court Docs: Steele's ‘Ultimate Client Was DNC' and Hillary Knew
[Red State] What I’ve always found rather stunning about the whole Russia collusion hoax was the evidence that the Clinton team and the DNC had actually paid for ’Russian information’ acquired through a foreign national, Christopher Steele, specifically to undermine their political opponent, while all the time, they and the media were screaming about false claims against the Trump team. And it’s always been pretty galling how the media has just skipped right over all the evidence about that so that even now, many Democrats and perhaps other Americans don’t understand what was done.

But information has continued to come out through a British lawsuit against Steele by two Russian bankers. Now, as we reported earlier, Steele has been ordered to pay damages to those bankers for the "inaccurate" or "misleading" material in the dossier. So, basically, you have a court finding that the claims were inaccurate.

Then, as Catherine Herridge observes, the importance of this is because that dossier is factoring into the Durham investigation.

Trump threatens to pull tax exemption for schools, colleges
[Ynet] U.S. President Donald Trump is threatening to abolish tax exemptions for schools and colleges due to what he calls "radical Left Indoctrination."

Trump said on Twitter on Friday he was ordering the Treasury Department to re-examine the tax-exempt status of schools that he says provide "radical indoctrination" instead of education.

"Too many Universities and School Systems are about radical Left Indoctrination, not Education," he tweeted.

"Therefore, I am telling the Treasury Department to re-examine their Tax-Exempt Status and/or Funding, which will be taken away if this Propaganda or Act Against Public Policy continues. Our children must be Educated, not Indoctrinated."

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
PA says Palestinian man killed by Israeli troops in West Bank
[IsraelTimes] IDF says soldiers shot up 2 men throwing Molotov cocktails at a military post, hitting one of them.

A Paleostinian man died at a hospital in the West Bank city of Salfit after being shot in the neck by Israeli forces, the Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry said Thursday.

The official Twitter account of PA President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
’s Fatah party identified him as Ibrahim Abu Yaqoub. It said one other person was injured.

The Paleostinian news agency Ma’an said Abu Yaqoub was 29.

The announcement by the PA came as the Israel Defense Forces said troops shot up two Paleostinians who were throwing Molotov cocktails at a military post in the northern West Bank.

An IDF spokesperson said one of the Paleostinians was hit by Israeli fire, while the other fled.

Paleostinian accounts disputed the IDF statement saying the two men were committing violence.

Salfit’s governor, Abdullah Kmeil, said in a statement that Abu Yaqoub was fired upon "without any kind of justification, as he was walking quite normally with his friends."
“It’s quite normal to casually aim firebombs at Israeli soldiers, then forcefully throw the things at them with murderous intent,” he added.
The two were shot "after Israeli forces invaded Kifl Haris," a village in the northern West Bank, "and shot them in cold blood," the Salfit governorate said on its Facebook page.
“Really, if Jews had not invaded this area for the purpose of colonization in 1892, we would not need to respond to the invasion now.”
Abu Yaqoub’s funeral will be held in Kfil Haris after Friday prayers, the statement said.

Britain
UK police arrest four men suspected of planning terror attacks
[IsraelTimes] Four men were arrested on Thursday in London and central England on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts, British police says.
Clive, Nigel, Owen?
I have been able to find absolutely nothing else about this — and I looked! — so it’s unclear whether the miscreants are Moslem colonists, jihadis, white supremacists, Antifa/BLM, or Irish. Sorry.
Armed officers arrested three men aged 17, 27 and 31 at two addresses in east London, while unarmed colleagues detained a fourth 32-year-old man in the county of Leicestershire.

The Metropolitan Police says no shots were fired but the 27-year-old was bitten on the foot by a police dog during the arrests and had been taken to hospital.

His injuries were not believed to be serious, it adds.

"All four men were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism," the force says in a statement.

"Officers are currently searching the three addresses, and a search is also underway at a fourth address in east London as part of the investigation."

The Met says it had been assisted by officers from East Midlands Counter Terrorism Policing and Leicestershire police force in what it called a "proactive investigation."

Turkey issues presidential decree to convert Hagia Sophia back into mosque
[FoxNews] Turkey will convert the Hagia Sophia cultural site back into a functioning mosque. The millenary place of worship was turned into a museum in 1934.

The country’s top administrative court annulled Hagia Sophia’s status as a museum early on Friday morning. Shortly after, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a presidential decree that transferred management of the site from the Ministry of Culture to the Diyanet, Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs.

"It was concluded that the settlement deed allocated it as a mosque and its use outside this character is not possible legally," the court ruled. "The cabinet decision in 1934 that ended its use as a mosque and defined it as a museum did not comply with laws."

The IRGC has had over 14 days to root out the cell or cells that are making these explosions occurring and has reached nothing, the report added.

This comes as Tehran was hit by an explosion last night that reportedly targeted warehouses of rockets that belong to the Iranian IRGC.

Army's 'Captain America' dies by suicide after nearly a dozen combat tours
[FoxNews] Master Sgt. Andrew 'Andy' Christian Marckesano served 6 full tours in Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne and the Ranger regiment.

The enemy could never break him, but what this decorated Green Beret eventually found was that his enemy was within. Friends who served with him in the military say he was the real “Captain America.”
:-( What a loss
Master Sgt. Andrew Christian Marckesano served six full tours in Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne and the Ranger regiment and a half dozen more combat tours overseas. He rose to become a decorated Green Beret and a Silver Star recipient. He had just moved to Washington, D.C., to start a coveted job at the Pentagon. Two days after the Fourth of July on Monday night, after having dinner with his former battalion leader, Marckesano returned home from dinner in Old Town, Alexandria, and died by suicide in front of his wife. He had three small children and was still on active duty.
Heartbreaking.
His death sent shock waves through the military. His friends, family and military leaders were at a loss. Many told Fox News that Marckesano never got over his tour in Afghanistan's Arghandab Valley in 2009 with the 2-508, a battalion that had one of the highest casualty rates of any unit during the war. “That deployment was like being in the ring with Mike Tyson for a year,” according to the battalion’s former Command Sgt Major Bert Puckett.

He sent a passionate appeal this week to the rest of the battalion: “Text me, I told you before my door is open... my phone is at hand. We did things that people make movies about and in some cases, writers and producers wouldn’t even try to write our story... the rucksack is heavy... and when it gets heavy we [&$#*] help each other, but you have to reach out... Don’t let the Valley win.”

Marckesano’s suicide was the 30th from this battalion. He is one of the 20 combat veterans taking their lives each day -- an epidemic the military and White House are trying to stop. Last month, President Trump launched the PREVENTS Task Force with a White House ceremony.

“My administration is marshaling every resource to stop the crisis of veteran suicide and protect our nation's most treasured heroes. They've been through so much, and it's such a deep-seated problem,” Trump said.

That place is like ancient Rome and the ambition and lies are similar. Our soldiers are being used to kill Sunni jihadis on one hand and feed them in Syria on the other so those creeps can murder Shia and Christians in Syria.

Bible Experts Determine Goliath Died Of COVID-19
[Babylon Bee] Working at an archaeological dig in the Valley of Elah, Bible experts have come up with an interesting theory concerning the death of Goliath, hulking giant of the Philistines who fought David in one-on-one combat.

Though he did have severe head trauma and neck problems, his death is now being counted as a COVID-19 death.

"While we didn't test him per se, he exhibited a lot of the symptoms of COVID-19," said one Bible scholar as he carefully worked to unearth some ancient face masks from Bible times. "The wooziness, the falling down, the headache -- it's all pretty clearly indicative of the novel coronavirus." He also stated that the virus ran rampant among the Philistines because they did not social distance, while Israel was relatively safe because King Saul declared a lockdown.

One researcher suggested that Goliath did not die of coronavirus but simply ODed, having been stoned. But then the other researchers realized he was telling a dad joke and told him to shut up and keep digging.

At publishing time, scholars had proposed that everyone who died in the Flood, the Israelite conquest of Canaan, and the flattening of Sodom and Gomorrah also died of COVID-19.

Lebanon does not intend to negotiate with Iran for fuel: minister
[ALMASDARNEWS] Lebanese Energy Minister Raymond Ghajar said on Thursday that Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
does not intend for the time being to negotiate with Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
to import fuel, which is in stark contrast of what the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
...The satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...
, said during his televised speech.Ghajar said, as reported by Rooters, referring to talks with the Iraqi government about possible fuel supplies, that there are no plans at the moment to negotiate with Iran to import fuel and that the current discussions are with Iraq.

On Wednesday, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that "importing oil from Iran will not be acceptable," pointing to the ongoing sanctions against the Islamic Theocratic Republic.

He added: "It will definitely be a sanctioned product, and we will do everything we can to ensure that Iran cannot sell crude oil anywhere, and that includes Hezbollah in the region."

On Tuesday, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that a "quiet discussion" was taking place with the government over the idea of Lebanon purchasing refined products from Iran in Lebanese pounds, which will ease pressure on the country’s foreign exchange reserves.

Major General Wang Haibin: I advocate putting Wutong Taiwan on the agenda as soon as possible
[Google auto-translate from China]
Author: Major General Wang Haiyun Chinese former ambassador to the Russian defense attache

[Weixin.qq] In 2001, on the issue of the reunification of Taiwan by force, I once insisted on "solid preparations and careful warfare." The main consideration at the time was that the army had just ended the "overtight days" mode, several major "killer skills" had not yet been formed, the weaponry was behind the US military by one or two generations, and the air combat equipment was not even as good as the Taiwan army, let alone the aircraft carrier formation. Even the positioning system depends on the US GPS. It can be said that air control and sea control are completely out of our hands. The long-range high-precision strike capability is seriously lacking. It is even more difficult to break through the strong fortification defense along the coast of Taiwan Island. Moreover, at that time, the Taiwan independence forces had not yet reached great hopes, and there was still hope for peaceful reunification. Sino-US relations were still in the "honeymoon period." Therefore, I strongly oppose blindly setting a "timetable" for the use of force to attack Taiwan, and I am even more opposed to any "thousand ships in a row" flower shelf that violates military laws. Because doing so is extremely irresponsible and brutal, it will undoubtedly fail, and it will even interrupt the progress of the rise of China.

Omar: 'We Must Dismantle The Oppressive System That Allowed A Refugee To Get Elected To The Highest Legislative Body In The Land'
And a Bro-Fo Cheating Whore
[Babylon Bee] During a press conference earlier this week, Representative Ilhan Omar called on the nation to dismantle the oppressive, racist system that allowed a Somalian refugee to become a citizen and get elected to the highest legislative body in the land.

She delivered her scathing comments on national media outlets that happily provide a platform for the woman who came from a war-torn country and was welcomed into the United States to ascend to state and eventually national office.

"Now that I have climbed to the top of the ladder, I am calling on the ladder to be kicked down for its systemic prejudice against oppressed women of color," Omar said. "I am hereby using the power and platform afforded to me by the incredible opportunity available in this country to call on my countrymen to bring the whole thing crashing to the ground."

"The whole thing is racist -- dismantle it all," she added before heading to a dinner party for elites in Washington.

Hong Kong doctor who fled to U.S. describes Chinese cover-up of coronavirus
[HotAir] Fox News has an exclusive interview with Dr. Li-Meng Yan, a virologist from Hong Kong who says she was one of the first doctors in the world to begin investigating the coronavirus outbreak. Her investigation began on December 31, the day word of a cluster of pneumonia cases in Wuhan first appeared in Chinese media.

Dr. Yan’s boss told her to look into it so she began asking questions from a network of doctor friends in China. Right away she learned from a member of the Chinese CDC that there was evidence of person-to-person transmission of the virus. This is something that China would officially deny was the case for several more weeks. Dr. Yan continued to investigate but by mid-January she said the tone had changed. Her friends in China were saying they couldn’t talk about it anymore. When Dr. Yan made a 2nd report to her bosses in Hong Kong, they told her to be very careful.

She said she reported her findings to her supervisor again on Jan. 16 but that’s when he allegedly told her "to keep silent, and be careful."

"As he warned me before, ’Don’t touch the red line,'" Yan said referring to the government. "We will get in trouble and we’ll be disappeared."

Dr. Yan decided to share her concerns with a Chinese blogger based in the U.S. That was published on January 19th but it was only in Chinese. Dr. Yan notes that within 4 hours there was a response from the Chinese government which suddenly announced there were 198 cases rather than 62. She says that was also when China admitted there was evidence of person-to-person transmission. Three days later, Wuhan was locked down.
...
The interview ends with a warning from Dr. Yan that this virus is eventually going to make its way to everyone and that herd immunity is a long way off. Here's the full interview.

NBC Contributor Reveals He Never Tested Positive For COVID After Network Followed His Alleged Recovery
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]
Well, thank God he recovered.
Brian Williams: "I was sick too!"

So was Dan Rather. He showed me a copy of the note from his Mom.
[Federalist] After NBC News extensively followed the COVID-19 case of its own on-air contributor Dr. Joseph Fair, the virologist and epidemiologist revealed he tested negative for coronavirus as well as negative for the WuFlu antibodies, meaning he never had the virus.

"Joining me now [is] virologist Joseph Fair, who recently recovered from COVID-19 himself," the network’s Chuck Todd said introducitng the doctors on a June episode of "Meet the Press."

"Dr. Fair, let me start with you because I would like you to share a little bit about your recovery from COVID-19. What should Americans take away from your experience?" Todd asked.

After telling viewers he was a healthy 42-year-old absent of any underlying conditions, Fair characterized the illness as "the worst I’ve ever felt."

"I probably spent 23 our of 24 hours in bed," said Fair. "Those people that are young and think they’re invincible or people that just don’t think it’s going to affect them that greatly even if they do get it, I can say that my own experience was the complete opposite."

Fair however, had already tested negative for the virus at least five times according to Steve Krakauer of the Fourth Watch Newsletter and said this week his illness from two months ago "remains an undiagnosed mystery" following the results of a negative antibody test.

"I had myriad COVID symptoms, was hospitalized in a COVID ward & treated for COVID-related co-morbidities, despite testing negative by nasal swab," Fair told followers on Twitter.

Despite having appeared on NBC and MSNBC almost a dozen times to discuss his recovery from the virus, neither network has still released a correction on air. As Krakauer points out, this story about Fair's illness still has yet to be corrected.

Fair said he planned to take another antibody test.

NBC News did not immediately respond to The Federalist's request for comment.

Bangladesh
Ahmadiyya infant exhumed, left by the road in Brahmanbaria
[Dhaka Tribune] In a shocking incident, some locals reportedly exhumed the body of an infant belonging to the Ahmadiyya community and left it by the road at Ghatura village in Sadar upazila of Brahmanbaria. The locals of the community are protesting this inhuman move and demanding punishment of the perpetrators after the incident took place on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Swapna Begum gave birth to a child at Christian Memorial Hospital in Brahmanbaria town. As the child was born with some complications, it was kept in an incubator.

However,
alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk...
the infant died at 5:30am on Thursday and was buried at the government-owned graveyard at Ghatura village at 7am on that day.

Soon after the burial, moulvis of different mosques gathered some anti-Ahmadiyya youths by miking through mosque mikes. They later exhumed the body and threw on the road.

After learning of the incident, police came and the family later buried the dead body at another graveyard of the Ahmadiyya community at Kandirpara village at around 11:30am on Thursday.

Saiful Islam, the father of the infant, said: "Some anti-Ahmadiyya men gathered after my child was buried. They exhumed the body and kept it outside the wall of the graveyard. I could not recognize them as I do not live here."

SM Ibrahim, president of Ahmadiyya Moslem Jammat (local unit), said moulvis of different mosques gathered some anti-Ahmadiyya youths and they exhumed the body and threw it on the road.

Acknowledging the matter, Brahmanbaria Sadar cop shoppe Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Selim, said: "The dead body was buried at the graveyard of Ahmadiyya community at Kandir par area after we spoke with the locals."

China-Japan-Koreas
State Department OKs sale of F-35 stealth fighters to Japan worth more than $23 billion
FU China/NKor
[Stars and Stripes] The State Department has approved a potential $23.11 billion sale of 105 F-35 Lightning II stealth fighters to Japan, according to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency.

"It is vital to U.S. national interest to assist Japan in developing and maintaining a strong and effective self-defense capability," said an agency notice to Congress on Thursday about the possible sale.

Japan already operates a squadron of 14 F-35A fighters capable of conventional takeoffs and landings at Misawa Air Base in the country's northeast and has 28 more on the way.

The country has asked to buy another 63 F-35As and 42 F-35Bs ‐ the short-takeoff and vertical-landing versions of the aircraft ‐ the agency said.

The Japan Air Self-Defense Force's F-4 Phantom II aircraft are being decommissioned as F-35s are added, the agency said.

#1  As I said in another BLM/ANTI-FA related article.

Since the BLM and ANTI-FA are well funded Political Action Groups with literally $Million$ donated and in the Bank.

Start suing them for damages, looting and inciting riots.

PLUS
Sue the Celebrities, Politicians and the Socialists Billionaires on the Donor lists that funded these subversive radicals as co-conspirators.

Also sue to recover the $$$ funneled thru these Radical groups laundered and donated to the Democrat & Socialist parties and their Liberal candidates campaigns.

[FoxNews] Cat gets voter registration application in the mail – after dying 12 years ago; owner says her late pet was a 'Democat'
"He was a black cat. I mean, c'mon, MAN! What else could he be?"
An Atlanta family said it received a voter registration form this week for their cat Cody Tims – who died 12 years ago.

"There's a huge push but if they're trying to register cats, I'm not sure who else they're trying to register,” the late feline’s owner, Carol Tims, told Fox5 Atlanta. “I'm not sure if they're trying to register dogs, mice, snakes.”

The Tims say they found the form addressed to the cat in their mailbox on Wednesday.

Carol Tims described Cody as a “great cat, indoor and outdoor” who “loved his family, loved his neighborhood” and lived to the age of 18.

But in terms of his voting prospects, “he's a cat and he's been dead for a long time,” Tims told Fox5 Atlanta.

The Georgia Secretary of State's Office told the station that they did not send out the form and that third-party groups behind such applications often use mailing lists to obtain names and addresses of people — and in this case, a cat.

"Third-party groups all over the country are targeting Georgia to help register qualified individuals,” it said in a statement. “This group makes you wonder what these out-of-town activists are really doing. Make no mistake about it, this office is dedicated to investigating all types of fraud."

Asked how Cody might have voted in the polls – if he could – Tims told Fox5Atlanta that he was a “Democat.”

Why is the US Army calling its commander in chief's campaign slogan 'white supremacist'?
[AmericanTherapist] After a slew of pieties from the U.S. Army generals about the importance of the military being all non-partisan — remember the general who apologized for accompanying commander-in-chief President Trump to a looted, burned church last June? — what goes on on the inside is a heckuva different story.

According to Military.com:

The Army has pulled a handout meant to promote meetings on diversity in the ranks that lists President Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan as a possible indicator of covert white supremacist sympathies.
