New York COVID Quarantine Rules Unconstitutional and Illegal: Judge
[Epoch Times] A New York Supreme Court judge this month quietly ruled that regulations mandating that people infected with or exposed to highly contagious communicable diseases be quarantined are a violation of state law, declaring them null and void.

The Isolation and Quarantine procedures, known as Rule 2.13, were enacted in February.

In a July 8 ruling, Acting Justice of the Supreme Court of Cattaraugus County Ronald D. Ploetz sided with the plaintiffs, stating that the rule merely gives "lip service" to constitutional due process.

"Involuntary detention is a severe deprivation of individual liberty, far more egregious than other health safety measures, such as requiring mask wearing at certain venues. Involuntary quarantine may have far-reaching consequences such as loss of income (or employment) and isolation from family," Ploetz wrote.

The judge added that there was "no scientific data or expert testimony" to back up the rule. However, the judge noted in his ruling that the rule is null and void "until the New York State Legislation acts otherwise," potentially paving the way for future appeals.
They'll appeal the ruling before the Legislature acts, anyway.

Disgraced Former Congresswoman Files For Bankruptcy After Losing Revenge Porn Lawsuit
[Daily Wire] Our favorite throuple makes the news again

Disgraced former Congresswoman Katie Hill has filed for bankruptcy after she unsuccessfully sued publications and journalists for publishing nude photographs of her while she was in office.

The bisexual former lawmaker sued the conservative website RedState, the British tabloid the Daily Mail, and journalists Jennifer Van Laar and Joe Messina after they published pictures of her brushing another woman’s hair while naked and holding a bong, the Los Angles Times reported.

If her filing for bankruptcy is successful, she could avoid paying the attorney’s fees to the defendants in the lawsuit, which a judge dismissed in 2021, the publication reported.

"It’s a broken system where a plaintiff’s sensible use of our legal system to adjudicate fundamental breaches to their sexual privacy results in such financially punishing consequences for daring to file a legal case that bankruptcy is the last resort," Hill’s attorney Carrie Goldberg told the Los Angeles Times, claiming that Hill had no choice but to file for bankruptcy.

"Victims of cyber exploitation are being let down by our legal system, and I have gotten an unfortunately personal look at the damage that can do," Hill tweeted. "I incurred substantial financial loss to fight this case because I believe it was my responsibility to do so to try to protect future victims of cyber exploitation."

But Krista Lee Baughman, who represents the journalists that Hill sued, criticized the former congresswoman for attempting to "evade responsibility for her errors."

"The bankruptcy process was not meant to enable privileged politicians with the means to earn revenue to evade the natural consequences of their intentional acts," she said, the Los Angles Times reported. "We have questions about this filing, and we will be pursuing them in court."

In 2019, Red State published stories alleging that not only had Hill and her then-husband engaged in a sexual relationship with a female campaign staffer — the publication also alleged she was carrying on an affair with a subordinate.

Not. It's design to force any plaintiff to make sure they have a real case worth going forward on rather than lawfare against anybody. It's doing what it is intended to do.

Leaked DOJ Docs: FBI Informant Says Proud Boys Did Not Plan to Enter Capitol, Were There to Protect Trump Supporters
[AmGreatness] The Department of Justice is well aware that the Proud Boys who attended the Stop the Steal rally on January 6 were not violent and did not conspire to enter the Capitol—yet are prosecuting them on conspiracy charges anyway, FBI documents obtained by Gateway Pundit reveal.

Five members of the group are currently in pre-trial detention on federal charges: Enrique Tarrio, Joseph Biggs, Ethan Nordean, Dominic Pezzola and Zachary Rehl.

A whistleblower leaked “a treasure trove” of exculpatory documents, and text messages—some marked “Highly Sensitive”—to the Gateway Pundit reporter Cara Castronuova. “These documents would be buried forever and never see the light of day if they were not leaked to us by a brave whistleblower,” Castronuova wrote. “While the informant does provide an honest assessment of the activity of the group, the videos and photos he took all day long of the group and sent back to his bosses were ultimately used to conjure up a case to present before a Grand Jury and Indict these individuals.”

Europe
Macron's Bastille Day interview: 'Russia is using gas supply as a weapon'
[France24] France needs to mobilise to prepare for the probable scenario of energy shortages this autumn because Russia is using cuts in supplies to Europe as a weapon in its war with Ukraine, French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday.

Speaking in a televised interview to mark France's national day, Macron said part of that mobilisation would involve French consumers and businesses scaling back their energy use.

"We need to prepare ourselves for a scenario where we have to manage completely without Russian gas," he said.

He said he would soon submit a detailed plan for restraint in energy consumption.

He also said France needed, in the light of Russia's invasion, to keep strengthening its army, accelerate the manufacture of new military equipment and replenish its stocks of munitions.

Europe Is Rich. So Why Does It Need America's Help Against Russia?
[19FortyFive] This persistent reliance on America should come as no surprise. A 2020 Pew Research Center poll found little enthusiasm among Europeans to assist one another. The overall median result was 50-to-38 percent against. Of the 13 European nations polled, majorities in only three — Lithuania, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom — favored fighting for fellow NATO members. That number hit 40 percent in only three other nations — France, Poland, and Spain. Only 34 percent in Germany did so. In every case more people believed that America would defend them. Of course.

NY Times Just Wants You to Know That It's 'Been Hell' for Ray Epps
[Red State] Add one more question to the curious story about Ray Epps.

The NY Times just wrote a story about him, and they want us to know that it’s "been hell" for Epps. Indeed, here’s the title of their story: "’It’s Just Been Hell’: Life as the Victim of a Jan. 6 Conspiracy Theory."

Here’s what one of their other reporters tweeted about the story.

BLUF:
But he said that he had managed to avoid arrest because he reached out to the F.B.I. within minutes of discovering that agents wanted to speak with him.
"Reached out" aka contact plan (use the wire, not your phone).
On Jan. 8, 2021, just two days after the Capitol was attacked, Mr. Epps learned from a family member that the F.B.I. had issued a be-on-the-lookout alert in his name. He said he immediately called the bureau’s National Threat Operations Center, and his phone records show that he spoke to agents there for nearly an hour.
Great 'brief-back' Ray. Now, calm down. Yes, we know things got a little out of control, but that's our problem. Let things cool off for 30 days and meet us for the duel-session FACECOM in March as planned.
The F.B.I. has repeatedly declined to comment on Mr. Epps, but his account of calling the operations center — and of sitting down for a formal discussion with federal agents in March 2021 — is backed by transcripts of those interviews reviewed by The New York Times.

Darth Bolton talks about 'Regime Changes'
[MAIL] Former National Security Advisor John Bolton mocked 'snowflakes' who were offended by his admission that he helped to plan coups d'état during his diplomatic career.
Someone has to, I suppose.
Bolton, 73, made the astonishing admission in an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper as he denied claims that the Jan. 6 riot was an attempted coup.

The following day, Bolton made an appearance on the right-wing network Newsmax, where he said: 'I think there are a lot of snowflakes out there that don’t understand what you need to do to protect the United States.'

He added: 'I'm not going to get into specifics. I did write about Venezuela in my memoir, and I think that any president that's not willing to do what it takes to protect the interests of the American people needs to have some counseling.'

One person who had a problem with the remarks was former CIA agent John Sipher, who said on Twitter that Bolton was 'full of s**t. He's never planned a coup.'

Sipher went on to say: 'My point is that Bolton’s comment is dangerous because it sends a false signal to the American people that senior officials sit in the White House and choreograph coups. Nonsense.'

Former CIA coder convicted of espionage over massive leak of hacking tools
[France24] A former CIA software engineer was convicted Wednesday of federal charges accusing him of the biggest theft of classified information in CIA history.

Joshua Schulte, who chose to defend himself at a New York City retrial, had told jurors in closing arguments that the CIA and FBI made him a scapegoat for an embarrassing public release of a trove of CIA secrets by WikiLeaks in 2017.

Schulte watched without visibly reacting as U.S. District Judge Jesse M. Furman announced the guilty verdict on nine counts, which was reached in mid-afternoon by a jury that had deliberated since Friday.

The so-called Vault 7 leak revealed how the CIA hacked Apple and Android smartphones in overseas spying operations, and efforts to turn internet-connected televisions into listening devices. Prior to his arrest, Schulte had helped create the hacking tools as a coder at the agency’s headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

A sentencing date was not immediately set because Schulte still awaits trial on charges of possessing and transporting child pornography. He has pleaded not guilty.

Attorney Sabrina Shroff, who advised Schulte during the trial, told Schulte’s mother after the verdict that the outcome was a "kick to the gut, the brain and heart." It was unclear if Shroff was expressing her own sentiments or Schulte’s.

WH Econ. Adviser Rouse on Biden Saying Inflation Hit ‘Peak' in December after Russian Troop Buildup: Inflation ‘Due to' Pandemic and War
[Breitbart] On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s "The Lead," White House Council of Economic Advisers Chair Cecilia Rouse responded to a clip of President Joe Biden predicting that inflation had peaked on December 10, 2021, when Russian troops were already on Ukraine’s border by stating that "The inflation we’re seeing is due to the pandemic and is due to the war."

Host Jake Tapper stated, "CNN’s Kaitlan Collins asked President Biden about inflation on December 10 — it’s July now — on December 10, and President Biden told her then that he thought December 10 was the peak of the crisis."

In the clip, Biden stated, "I think you’ll see it change sooner than, quicker than, more rapidly than it will take — than most people think. Every other aspect of the economy is racing ahead. It’s doing incredibly well."

Tapper then said, "Now, obviously, the war in Ukraine has happened since then, which is partially to blame for higher gas prices, although Putin’s forces were on the border right then. But it just seems clear that the Biden administration has misjudged how bad inflation was going to get, for months and months and months."

Army demands ret. Gen. Mike Flynn pay nearly $40,000 fine
[American Mil News] The U.S. Army revealed Friday it is seeking to impose a penalty payment against retired Gen. Mike Flynn for failing to disclose lucrative speaking engagements and business activities with Russian and Turkish business entities.

The Department of Defense Inspector General determined Flynn made around $450,000 from business and speaking engagements while drawing from military retirement pay, including $33,750 for a 2015 speaking event in Moscow, Russia. The DoD Inspector General recorded these alleged payments to Flynn in a January 2021 memo that was first released to the public last week through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

These payments may be in violation of federal regulations against retired U.S. military service members working for foreign governments. According to a May 2 memo to Flynn, obtained by the Washington Post, the Army is seeking $38,557.06 from Flynn for money and in-kind compensation he received for attending the 2015 event in Moscow, which was in celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the start of the Russian television channel Russia Today, or RT.

Federal regulations for retired U.S. military members prohibit anyone "holding any office of profit or trust under the Federal Government from accepting any present, emolument, office, or title of any kind whatever from any king, prince, or foreign state without the consent of Congress." The provision prohibits the employment of a retired U.S. service member by a foreign government.

According to the 2021 DoD IG memo, investigators were able to find no indication that Flynn sought prior approval from the Department of State or Department of the Army to attend the 2015 event in Moscow.

Donald Trump: ‘I Don't Know' if Joe Biden Will Be Democrat Nominee in 2024
[Breitbart] LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively here that he is not sure whether Democrats will again nominate President Joe Biden in 2024.

"I don’t know," Trump said when asked if Biden will be the nominee of the Democrat Party in the 2024 election, given all the recent speculation that Democrats want to get rid of him in the next presidential election.

Trump’s comments are sure to throw gas on a fire that the Biden White House has been trying to extinguish for weeks. A growing number of Democrats have been openly criticizing Biden, and recent polling has indicated that even among Democrats — but certainly among Republicans and independents — the public does not want the current president to run again.

Disgusting Biden bike trail sniffing (video)
[Western Journal] Sadly, this is far from the first time Biden has been captured in the midst of an inappropriate interaction with a young child.

While swearing in Republican Sen. Jim Risch during his time as vice president, Biden stroked the hair of Risch’s daughter and asked to take a photo alone with her. He was clearly uncomfortable with the idea.

"Dad’s going to stand pretty close," Risch said. Biden went on to comment about what he would do "if I was young."

Turning Point USA’s Richard Armande Mills shared a video of the unsettling interaction.

Biden's Energy Dept Drag Queen Gets Top Secret ‘Q Clearance' Alongside Six-Figure Government Salary.
[The National Pulse] A high-level hire at the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy, whose past as a drag queen and defender of underage gay prostitution sites has stirred controversy, is earning a salary in the top one percent of all government employees, according to documents obtained exclusively by The National Pulse.

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed by The National Pulse reveals Sam Brinton’s taxpayer funded salary of $178,063, placing him amongst the top one percent of other federal salaries. It is also around five times the national median individual income.

Brinton, who received his job offer in allegedly strange circumstances in January 2022, will also enjoy the top secret “Q clearance” level in the Department of Energy. The designation Top Secret is applied to information, “the unauthorized disclosure of which reasonably could be expected to cause exceptionally grave damage to the national security.”

Brinton’s personal posts have also revealed the gravity of his appointment, sharing on Twitter on June 29th:

“I lead a staff of hundreds and a budget of millions (with a Nuclear Waste Fund I’m responsible for at over $45 billion) as the leader of the office overseeing the management of the nation’s spent nuclear fuel.”

The revelations follow The National Pulse exposé of appointee Samuel Brinton’s past as a drag queen, LGBTQ+ activist who has “lectured” on kink at college campuses and participated in interviews about fetish roleplay.

UNSC extends cross-border aid to Syria for six months
[NPASyria] On Tuesday, the UN Security Council approved to extend lifesaving aid deliveries into northwest Syria through Bab al-Hawa border crossing with The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
for a further six months.

12 countries voted in favor of the resolution, while the United States, Britannia and La Belle France abstained from voting.

The authorization of aid deliveries through Bab al-Hawa from Turkey, which has been in place since 2014 and does not require backing from Damascus, expired on July 10, due to Russian-Chinese veto.

Two competing resolutions were rejected on Friday. The first one was a one-year-draft, put forward by Ireland and Norway and it was vetoed by Russia. The second was a six-month proposal, presented by Russia, which was only supported by Russia and China.

12 council members voted in favor of the Norway and Ireland draft resolution, while Russia opposed it and China abstained.

Russia’s Deputy U.N. Ambassador Dmitry Polyanskiy said Moscow would continue to veto any text other than its own.

Since July 10, 2020, Bab al-Hawa has been the only crossing kept open to UN aid based on the resolution 2533 (2020), while the use of the others was curtailed.

In July 2014, the UN Security Council adopted the Resolution 2165 which authorized the UN to deliver cross-border humanitarian aid to Syria through four crossings al-Ramtha crossing with Jordan, Bab al-Salam, Bab al-Hawa with Turkey, and al Ya’rubiyah (Tel Kocher) with Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), without the consent of the Syrian government.

According to UN data, 14.6 million Syrians rely on humanitarian assistance, the highest ever recorded. Across Syria, 12 million individuals face acute food insecurity — a staggering 51 percent increase since 2019.

Government security member killed east of Syria’s Daraa
[NPASyria] On Wednesday, a soldier of the Syrian government forces was rubbed out by unidentified gunnies in the eastern countryside of Daraa, a governorate south Syria.

An eyewitness told North Press Agency that Mahmoud Hussein al-Habisi, a member of the military security Branch of the government forces, was rubbed out by unidentified attackers in the center of the town of Mhajjah east of Daraa.

Al-Habisi, who returned from Jordan to Syria in July 2018, joined ranks of a military group of the Military Security Branch after he obtained a settlement card in 2018 and he never joined any opposition ranks after that.

In September 2021, dignitaries of Daraa governorate and Syrian government reached a ceasefire agreement under Russia’s mediation which included handing over weapons of the local factions, and deploying government’s security posts in the towns of the governorate.

Daraa governorate continues to witness ongoing killing operations without knowing the party behind them, as no party has grabbed credit for these attacks.

Government finds weapons warehouse of ISIS in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

Organization (ISIS) in the town of Dweir, 80 km east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.

A military source in the Syrian government forces said that unites of the 4th Armored Division of the Syrian government forces and military engineering found a warehouse contained large quantities of weapons and ammunition, which belonged to the ISIS, in a small room under the ground and covered with plastics.

The source, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
, said that the warehouse contained Kalashnikovs, PKCs, hand grenades, ammunition for machineguns, mortars, materials for manufacturing explosives, and banners bearing the organization’s logo.

The source said that the operation based on confessions of an ISIS detainee arrested by the government forces.

Two days ago, the government forces launched a combing campaign in the desert of Deir ez-Zor, Sukhna and Palmyra which is the fifth this year, due to increasing attacks by ISIS turbans who use al-Badia as a hideout.

The Iranian-backed militias control vast swaths of the countryside of Deir ez-Zor and Syria’s Badia that recently witnessed several battles between the Iranian-backed turbans and ISIS.

On July 4, unidentified button men killed a member of the government forces in an attack with machineguns on their posts in the town of al-Abbas, east of Deir ez-Zor.

ISIS Claims Responsibility For Killing SDF Former Member In Syria’s Deir Ez-Zor
[NPASyria] Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
Organization (ISIS) claims responsibility on Tuesday for killing a person on charges of working for Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) previously in a town east of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

The ISIS-run agency Amaq publicized a statement, saying that the ISIS holy warriors killed a former SDF member in the town of Hawaij, 45km east of Deir ez-Zor.

The countryside of Deir ez-Zor was an ISIS enclave which was liberated in 2019 by the SDF and the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS. After that, a civil autonomous administration was formed to run the affairs of the region. This civil administration is affiliated with the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).

The AANES was first formed in 2014 in the Kurdish-majority regions of Afrin, Kobani and Jazira in northern Syria following the withdrawal of the government forces. Later, it was expanded to Manbij, Tabqa, Raqqa, Hasakah and Deir ez-Zor after the SDF defeated ISIS militarily.

On the same day, a military source in the SDF told North Press that unknown button men stormed a football pitch in Hawaij and rubbed out the 30-year-old footballer Ala’ al-Hamoud.

Al-Hamoud is a former member in the SDF, according to the source.

Recently, the countryside of Deir ez-Zor has witnessed an increase in killing cases carried out against the SDF fighters, tribal leaders, civilians, and employees of the Autonomous Administration though the SDF carries out intensive security operations.

On July 7, Amaq news agency publicized a statement, saying that ISIS holy warriors targeted an SDF leader in the town of Abu Hardub, 80 kilometers east of Deir ez-Zor, with machineguns, wounding him, and later to succumb to his injuries.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
White House walks back Sullivan’s claim US seeking consulate in East Jerusalem
[IsraelTimes] There has been no change in American policy regarding offices for Paleostinians closed since 2019, front man clarifies after Biden adviser apparently misspeaks.

White House spokesperson John Kirby on Wednesday walked back remarks made by US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, who said earlier that Washington wants the Paleostinians to have a consulate in East Jerusalem.
Same Jake Sullivan that pushed the Russian Dossier. Traitor and political hack
Kirby clarified that there has been no change in US policy regarding the consulate, Rooters reported.

The US is interested in reopening its consulate for Paleostinians in West Jerusalem, which was closed by former US president Donald Trump
...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party...
in 2019.

Sullivan made the remarks to news hounds on Air Force One as it flew US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. An incredibly corrupt version of Jar-Jar Binks, only well into his dotage. The dumbass who abandoned Afghanistan....
to Israel for the start of his Middle East visit.

Asked about the potential of reopening the Jerusalem consulate that served Paleostinians, Sullivan said that it is the US’s position "that we would like a consulate in East Jerusalem, obviously that requires engagement with the Israeli government, that requires engagement with the Paleostinian leadership as well, and we will continue that engagement on this trip."

Sullivan also told news hounds aboard Air Force One that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke recently on the phone with the family of slain Paleostinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.

Blinken invited the family to come to Washington to meet directly with administration officials in order to further discuss her killing, Sullivan said, after relatives of Abu Akleh last week addressed a letter to Biden, slamming his administration’s response to her death and asking to meet Biden during his visit to Israel and the West Bank.

The family expressed "grief, outrage and [a] sense of betrayal," accusing the US of trying to erase Israel’s responsibility for her death.

The US put out a statement earlier this month that said Israel did not intentionally kill Abu Akleh, even though it was likely responsible. Sullivan said the administration is still seeking accountability in the Al Jazeera news hound’s death.

A senior Israeli official acknowledged last week that Abu Akleh’s death will likely "cast a shadow" on Biden’s visit.

Sullivan also told news hounds aboard the flight that the Biden administration (aka the Wilmington comorra)
...the pack of self-imagined masterminds of strategy and intrigue at the service of the Biden Crime Family and a grateful nation...
was "heartened" by the recent phone call between Prime Minister Yair Lapid and Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
The call was the first in years between Israeli and Paleostinian leaders after Lapid’s predecessor, Naftali Bennett, refused to engage with the PA president and former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu did the same for much of his tenure.

Sullivan expressed hope that the recent call will lead to more cooperation between the sides on a path toward a two-state solution. He told news hounds that while Biden is hopeful for Israeli-Paleostinian peace efforts, "he won’t be making formal proposals for the launch of some sort of peace initiative."

Capitol rioter who carried Confederate flag sentenced to 5 months in jail
[IsraelTimes] David Alan Blair, 27, also ordered to pay $2,000; about 840 people have been charged with federal crimes related to January 6 riot.

A Maryland man who used a lacrosse stick attached to a Confederate battle flag to shove a police officer during the US Capitol riot was sentenced on Wednesday to five months in prison, according to a Justice Department front man.

US District Judge Christopher Cooper also sentenced David Alan Blair, to 18 months of supervised release after his prison term and ordered him to pay $2,000 in restitution, said William Miller, a front man for the US Attorney’s office for the District of Columbia.

Federal prosecutors recommended sentencing Blair to eight months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.

Blair’s attorney, Terrell Roberts III, asked for a sentence of probation.

Blair, 27, left his home in Clarksburg, Maryland, and started driving to Washington, DC, after the riot erupted at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Shortly before 6 p.m., Blair encountered a line of Metropolitan Police Department officers on the Capitol’s West Lawn and refused to heed their commands to leave the area, prosecutors said.

A police officer’s body camera captured Blair walking in front of the police line and yelling, "Hell naw. Quit backing up. Don’t be scared. We’re Americans."

Blair was arrested after he pushed his lacrosse stick against an officer’s chest.

The officer responded to the push by striking Blair three times in the head with a baton, drawing blood and giving him a concussion, according to Blair’s attorney.
If he was black, it'd be "excessive force!" and "No justice, no peace"
Approximately 840 people have been charged with federal crimes related to the Capitol riot. Over 330 of them have pleaded guilty, mostly to misdemeanor charges punishable by no more than one-year imprisonment. More than 200 have been sentenced, including approximately 100 who received prison terms ranging from nine days to over five years.

Blair is one of several Capitol riot defendants who carried a Confederate battle flag that day. The others include Kevin Seefried, a Delaware man who was convicted in June of storming the Capitol with his adult son. Another flag-toting rioter, Matthew Ryan Miller, was sentenced in May to 33 months in prison for assaulting coppers and obstructing an official proceeding.

Blair pleaded guilty in March to a felony charge of interfering with law enforcement during a civil disorder, which carries a maximum sentence of five years imprisonment.

In a court filing, Roberts said Blair thought he had the right to be where he was and to "exercise his First Amendment right of free assembly" before one of the advancing officers shoved him.

"The brute force which led to provoking the defendant was not called for," Roberts wrote.

Blair didn’t enter the Capitol. He told Sherlocks that he went there to "fight Antifa
...the armed wing of the Democratic Party...
," not to disrupt Congress from certifying President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences. So does Afghanistan, aka Biden's Bungle...
’s 2020 electoral victory, according to prosecutors.

Blair also said he had been trading social media messages with somebody who often made anti-Semitic remarks and "blamed Israel for the world’s problems," Assistant US Attorney Michael Liebman wrote in a court filing.

"Blair further explained that as a result of these discussions he came to believe the United States was ’falling apart’ and that he had to ’stand up’ to communism," Liebman added.

On January 6, Blair was wearing a skull-themed neck gaiter and a backpack containing a knife with a serrated blade and a roll of duct tape. He told police that he used the duct tape to attach the Confederate battle flag to his lacrosse stick.

Liebman said Blair likely knew that displaying the flag, widely viewed as a symbol of racist hate, would "antagonize any ideological opponent he might encounter."

Blair, whose mother is from South Carolina, "cared deeply about his family’s heritage," his lawyer wrote.

Strangely, that's what the Left thinks of the American flag.

#3  "who used a lacrosse stick attached to a Confederate battle flag to shove a police officer"

First that is a very odd way to say it, as if he pushed him with the flag and not the stick. Second, if you shove a cop with a 5 foot stick you are gonna face some repercussions no matter what the flag attached to that stick is.

Russia: Tens of thousands flee 'cold civil war'
It’s not like the millions that have fled the war in Ukraine, but Russia has been experiencing a brain drain for forty years.
[DW] Russians who disagree with Kremlin policy are fleeing the country. More than 100,000 are thought to have left since the start of the war in Ukraine. Those who stay risk losing their jobs — and their freedom.

Read the private email Obama sent his former doc after he questioned Biden's cognitive health
[FoxNews] Obama told Jackson, who was the doctor for three presidents, that criticizing Biden's mental state was 'unprofessional'

Former President Barack Obama reprimanded his own former White House physician for criticizing Joe Biden's cognitive health on the 2020 presidential campaign trail, according to a forthcoming book.

In his memoir "Holding the Line: A Lifetime of Defending Democracy and American Values," Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, writes about a stern email from Obama for then-presidential candidate Biden’s "crazy statements and concerning mental gaffes" — a criticism he was uniquely qualified to make having served as the White House physician to Presidents George W. Bush, Obama and Donald Trump.

Native of Kabardino-Balkaria received five years in prison for helping a terrorist
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] A court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Amir Tsavkilov, a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria, to five years in prison, recognizing the purchase of food and the provision of lodging for the alleged IS militant* as assistance to terrorism.

The Southern District Military Court found Amir Tsavkilov, a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria, guilty of helping a member of a terrorist organization, the press service of the court reported today.

According to the investigation and the court, in August 2015, Tsavkilov was transporting a member of the "Islamic State"* in Nalchik by car. "A few days after that, Tsavkilov moved the same person from Nalchik to the village of Urukh, Leskensky district, bought food, and also provided a place for safe living in his house," Interfax quoted the press service of the court as saying.

The court sentenced Tsavkilov to five years in prison in a penal colony, the report said.

The criminal case was submitted to the court on August 9, 2021, 22 court sessions were held. The verdict was handed down today, follows from the case file on the website of the Southern District Military Court.

The "Caucasian Knot" also wrote that a blogger from Baksan, Insa Oguz, known under the pseudonym "Insa Lander", escaped from house arrest and on June 12 tried to leave for Georgia through North Ossetia. On June 27, the Georgian authorities allowed Inse Lander to enter the country, from there she flew to Lithuania on June 28.

From the information in the database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it follows that Lander has been put on the wanted list. Lander decided to escape from house arrest, as she realized that she would not be able to legally prove her innocence on charges of promoting terrorism.
How does one illegally prove such a thing?

Biden has spent $532 billion by Executive Order with no Congressional Action
By Rep. Jason Smith

[FoxNews] President Joe Biden is reportedly still haggling with Washington Democrats to revive some version of the legislative Frankenstein that is their $5-trillion Build Back Broke agenda. Having failed thus far to convince his own party to support his policies, Biden is finding new ways to rewrite America’s laws through executive actions, spending more than half a trillion worth of tax dollars in the process.

These executive actions have become so common place in the Biden administration — with 530 undertaken so far – and the implications for taxpayers so glaring, that I asked the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) to determine the cost of Biden’s eight most expensive executive actions. The results are stunning: in just 16 months, Joe Biden has charged American taxpayers $532 billion — all with no input from the American people themselves or a vote by their elected representatives in Congress.
Details of his EOs at the link.
If Biden put down his pen long enough to pick up a newspaper, perhaps he would see that his approach of governing by executive fiat is failing American families.

Hindus protest girl’s ‘abduction’ in front of Zardari House in Nawabshah
Love jihad or just making off with a portable womb?
[Dawn] Members of Hindu community marched on main roads before staging a protest in front of Zardari House in Nawabshah on Tuesday in protest against what they believed was abduction of a community girl.

Police claimed Shrimati Kareena had eloped with a Moslem boy for love and had contacted marriage with him in a Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
court.

The protesters rolled their eyes, jumped up and down, and hollered poorly rhymed slogans real loud against police and demanded former president Asif Ali Ten Percent Zardari
...former president of Pakistain, husband of the late Benazir Bhutto, who has been singularly lacking in curiosity about who done her in...
intervene to help them recover the girl, who was allegedly kidnapped in Unnar Muhalla, Qazi Ahmed town, six days ago.

But Nawabshah SSP Ameer Saud Magsi said that Shrimati Kareena had not been kidnapped she had eloped with Khalil Rehman Jono of Meer Mohammad Jono village and had married to him in a court in Karachi.

He said that Asghar Jono, father of Khalil, had been arrested after registration of FIR under Section 365-B on a complaint lodged by Sundurmal. Khalil and his father Asghar were nominated in FIR, he said.

The SSP shared a nikahnama purportedly of Shrimati Kareena and Khalil Rehman Jono and said the girl would be produced in Sindh High Court. The girl would decide to go wherever she wanted, he said.

Hindu Panchayat vice president Lajpat Rai rejected the SSP’s claim and said that police had registered an FIR but were rescuing the kidnapped girl. A delegation of Hindu community met the SSP but he had not helped them, he said.

Manomal, another Panchayat leader, said that the kidnapped girl was under pressure to change religion and was not being produced in any court.

He appealed to Asif Ali Zardari to help the Hindu community in the recovery of the girl. When the protestors reached close to Zardari House, police stopped them from advancing to the former president’s residence and persuade them to end the protest over assurance the girl would be produced in court.

Video shows 'Hundreds Upon Hundreds' of migrants crossing illegally into US at the Texas-Mexico border
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • New footage shows a massive mob of hundreds of migrants lined up crossing the Rio Grande in Eagle Pass, Texas

  • Border agents have reprehended a record number of migrants in recent months. As resources are stretched thin, migration figures continue to swell

  • Nearly 26,000 migrants were apprehended by Texas-area Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents in under a week, 70% single adults, mostly from Venezuela and Cuba

Customs and Border Patrol saw 239,416 migrant encounters in May, the highest ever recorded in history. Border agents told DailyMail.com that that figure is likely a steep undercount, and the actual figure could be almost double when including those who successfully evade authorities.

The Question is: Are LSD's so desperate that they are now selling the fear of a Major War, for deflection in some hope of retaining power?

Because it's beginning to sound like the Mid-Term Deflection tactic will now be WAR. Since, their many deflection attempts at Biden Admin operations have failed.

Let's take it a step further.

#6  B-1 Bob Dornan, Republican congressman from Orange County, California. Lobbied for the B-1 bomber, no doubt for a lot of jobs at California aerospace companies back in the days when California had an aerospace industry. I think the B-2 is a whole helluva lot cooler than the B-1, stealth and all that. Dornan lost his seat to a Democrat when Orange County demographics changed radically thanks to Bill Clinton's immigration policies.

From Wikipedia:

Dornan was a dark horse candidate for president of the United States in 1996.[23] In a GOP debate in Iowa on January 13, Dornan called Clinton a "criminal" and a "pathological liar".[24] Dornan later dropped out of the presidential race and ran for reelection to his seat in the House; he was defeated by Democrat Loretta Sanchez by less than 1,000 votes.[25]

Following the narrow defeat, Dornan alleged that Sanchez's winning margin was provided by illegal voting from non-U.S. citizens. A thirteen-month House of Representatives investigation ensued, during which Sanchez was seated provisionally, pending the inquiry.[26] A task force found 748 votes that had been cast illegally—624 from non-citizens in addition to 124 that had already been thrown out by California officials. This was not enough to overturn Sanchez's margin of victory and she was allowed to keep her seat.[27] However, in consultation with the INS, the House committee identified 4,762 questionable registration affidavits.[28]

#2  The USA needs to rid itself of gullible, sentimental and hypocrite fools. We live in an age where people can be swayed by a few seconds of video. What's the story, why someone is strolling outside while a goddamn war is on, what really happened...
No we don't care, we'd rather cancel some blog or guy that we don't like the reportage from! Because we are trained to whine. And wear blinders when we're faced with reality. Leaving dead Moslems aside, I won't start on the list of legendary American foxtrot unions all over the world which not only killed women and children but led to large scale suffering for Christians, Jews, kaffirs like us. You do it because the alternative is worse. And letting the globalists dominate in Ukraine is unacceptable. So the Rooshians will do exactly what Murrica has always done to others.

#14  As for the little girl, believe it or not we are truly sorry. War is hell and we could, and have in the past, debate all day about who started it. My own opinion is that it could have been avoided if Biden (and his puppet masters) had not pushed for NATO's expansion into Ukraine. It is a proxy war being waged by Biden (and his globalist puppet masters) against Russia. Ukrainians are caught in the middle and are being used by extremely evil and cynical globalists in Washington DC.

Ever notice how nobody is calling for a negotiated settlement? Not Putin, not Zelensky and not Biden. None of these evil men give a rat's ass about your little girl much less about the poor dumb bastards who are thrown into the meat grinder. That's how it always is. Sad but true. Sorry.

#15  We've discussed this repeatedly at the 'burg. Those who place/allow civilians in a potential attack zones are responsible for the loss as long as the target was military.

Ukrainian authorities routinely sound air attack sirens prior to air attacks, which Ukrainians choose to ignore to their personal peril.

It happened with the mall/repair plant in Kramatorsk. Knowing there was a potential industrial target directly adjacent to the mall, they could have cleared the area, but they did not.

The loss of the child is truly a tragedy.

#17  Problem with your logic is this, Russia invaded Ukraine and is attacking Ukraine's civilians and everyone here knows it. There is no moral equivalancy like some of the pro Russians post of, that's Russian propaganda pushed by their paid agents in the west.

Here's another picture for Bandnov and his friends here, the little girl's mother survived and only lost 1 leg, isn't that awesome?

I for one hope the US helps Ukraine a lot more than we are, if NATO is worthy of a nuclear holocaust and a lot of them are free loading bastards, so is Ukraine.

I do not think Russia should have started this war. The Russians had good cause, IMO, but they should not have done it.

War is wasteful, and I suspect Russia may not reap the benefits they claimed at the outset from the invasion.

But the Russians just don't give a shit. They are fighting off a Nazi invasion and a no-holds-barred war is their solution.

If reporting on their side makes me an agent of Vladimir, then so be it. Just remove the "paid" adjective, s'il vous plait. I have not seen anything of value from Russia in this whole conflagration.

#21  I would agree that Russia will probably not reap the benefits that Putin may have expected. Putin is learning the hard way that Russia's military/industrial complex is no match for America's.

My point is that American's, rightly so, expect POTUS to be the bigger man and that is simply not the case.

#23  For my two cents:

1- I've never been within a thousand miles of Ukraine, so I'm kind of reluctant to say who there should be doing what. That said, when the commissars show up and post great unsourced slabs of shrill pro-Russian propaganda, and insult longstanding Rantburgers along the way, my instinct is to push back, and I do. If they want to make a coherent argument, as Dron regularly does, I'm willing to listen.
2- Omineling, dude, attacking Badanov personally sets you back a country mile. Right now you're at the "neener neener" level of posting, which isn't going to convince anyone here that your position is correct.

#1  the Islamic State Hind

Psst... there's no such thing really.

There was an al-hind thingy, with a motley crew. 20 members shouting the tawheed all day long in black scarves, led by a Mehboob Pasha and one Khaja Moideen. Six in ground and fourteen in jug. Forever.

One of their own guys gave them up and asked us to rescue him because the bastards were trying to build a 'jungle base' and forcing metropolitan kids to live without Domino's, mosquito cream, pronhub...

Somalia: Al-Shabaab militants suffer losses in fresh army operations
[Garowe] The Somalia-based al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab
...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
gunnies suffered huge blows on Monday following an operation waged by the Somali National Army [SNA] which has been penetrating perceived strongholds of the group, which controls large swathes of rural central and southern Somalia.

SNA commanders told the state media that for the last 24 hours, Special Forces killed 25 al-Shabaab gunnies during an operation near Bukure village within Mahas District in Hiran. The region is prone to al-Shabaab attacks according to authorities.

"Somali National Army killed 25 al-Shabaab holy warriors in a special operation near Bukure village under Mahas district of Hiiraan region in the past 24 hours, SNA commanders confirmed, " state media confirmed in a Tweet.

Since Hassan Sheikh Mohamud took over as the president of Somalia, the ay [sic] has brightened campaigns against the Death Eaters, with the president urging the military to crush the group completely. There have been fierce exchanges between al-Shabaab and the government.

For instance, during his trip to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
, President Hassan Sheikh vowed to continue using military and economic suffocation tactics against the Death Eaters, ruling out any possible negotiations in the coming months. However,
a clean conscience makes a soft pillow...
he noted that perhaps in the future, the government will negotiate.

On their part, al-Shabaab through their group leader Ahmed Diriye dismissed Hassan Sheikh as a sympathizer and vowed to fight his administration. The group also denied claims by the president that it was sponsoring terror groups in Nigeria and Mozambique.

President Hassan Sheikh said he was keen to ensure that all the revenue loopholes used by the gunnies are completely sealed, adding that this will effectively degrade them. The group has been fighting for the last 15 years in Somalia and neighboring countries.

[Fauci beagle update] 4,000 beagles rescued from Virginia breeding facility in need of new homes
[FoxNews] Thousands of beagles are being rescued from a dog breeding facility in Virginia, and they’re in need of new homes.

The Humane Society of the United States announced that approximately 4,000 beagles will be removed from Envigo, a medical contract breeding facility that has been accused of having unfit conditions.

Envigo’s facility in Cumberland, Virginia, was taken to court in 2021 after the USDA and other law enforcement agencies found multiple federal violations.

But there is no telling what is now in those Beagles systems, or their mental issues.
Since they were subject to unimaginable painful medical science experiments.

Given, our own family has rescued a few pits, one 80/20 hybrid and several Rotties over the years. I just don't see these as suitable rescue dogs for a family.

Hundreds arrested across Syria in first half of 2022: monitor
[Rudaw] Hundreds of people have been arbitrarily arrested across Syria in the first six months of 2022, reported a human rights
...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you...
monitor on Wednesday, adding that most of the arrests occurred in areas controlled by Ottoman Turkish-backed forces.

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) on Wednesday stated that they had verified a total of 792 cases of arrest, as well as 121 abductions across Syria from early January to late June 2022, adding that they estimate the number of kidnappings to be much higher than what they have been able to document.

Areas under the control of Ottoman Turkish-backed forces arrested a total of 409 people during the first half of 2022, mainly accused of having affiliations with the Kurdish forces or cells of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. (ISIS), according to the SOHR.

Areas controlled by Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Despoiler of Deraa...
’s regime reported 218 arrests, while areas under the control of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested 150 people, in addition to 15 arrests in areas controlled by Syrian rebel factions.

Syrians rose up against the regime of President Bashir al-Assad in March 2011, leading to a full-scale civil war that has claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of Syrian people and has left millions more in need of humanitarian assistance.

The US State Department in March said at least 2,210 cases of arrest were documented in Syria since 2011, accusing Assad’s regime of being responsible for at least 88 percent of the arrests.

A report from the UN in 2021 addressed human rights violations against prisoners in Syria, stating that no warring parties in the country have respected the rights of the detainees.

"The whereabouts of tens of thousands of those arrested throughout the conflict are still unknown," according to the report.

23:42 Yermak confirmed that following today's meeting in Istanbul, the parties agreed to form a Joint Coordination Center under the auspices of the UN - its task will be to jointly monitor and coordinate safe navigation in the Black Sea.

23:37 Zelensky said in an evening video message that he was preparing to address tomorrow the participants of the forum in The Hague dedicated to bringing Russian war criminals to justice: "World democracies are ready to do everything necessary to make every Russian terrorist answer for the evil against Ukrainians. And we must coordinate efforts so that all the guilty receive fair sentences. There will be a tribunal."

21:42 The Russians have stepped up the work of their DRGs in the Donbas quantitatively and qualitatively: mercenaries from the League, who speak Ukrainian and dressed in military uniforms of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, go to the checkpoints of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said the head of the Luhansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai on the air of the telethon. 19:40 Kiev breaks off diplomatic relations with the DPRK in response to its recognition of the "DPR" and "LPR", the Foreign Ministry said: "Ukraine considers this decision as an attempt to undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine by Pyongyang, a gross violation of the Constitution of Ukraine, the UN Charter and fundamental norms and principles of international law. Recognition by the North Korean regime of the "subjectivity" of the Russian occupation regimes in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions is negligible, will not have legal consequences and will not change the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine."

19:27 Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called it "very difficult" the decision to make a sanctions exception in order to return the repaired turbine for the Nord Stream gas pipeline: "The sanctions are directed against Putin and his assistants and are not intended to harm our allies and their populations." Trudeau added that Ottawa will continue to "unreservedly" support Ukraine.

19:03 Great Britain and Morocco did not officially address the "DPR" about their citizens who fought on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Pushilin said.

18:50 NATO is focused on military assistance to Ukraine, and not on its accession to the alliance, Stoltenberg said.

18:41 Podolyak assured that all Western weapons are carefully accounted for: "All types of weapons, including long-range ones, that Ukraine receives, undergo careful registration and are sent to the front. Weapons for Ukraine are a matter of survival. Control over them is a priority. All "rumors" about something else are banal Russian propaganda stuffing in order to disrupt supplies."

18:26 Hungary has declared a state of emergency in the field of energy, said the head of the office of the Prime Minister Gergely Guyash.

18:13 While martial law is in effect in Ukraine, the military and law enforcement officers must hand over their DNA data. He explained that representatives of these professions had the greatest losses in the war. At the same time, military data is not entered immediately into the DNA registry - they are stored in personal files and are taken only when necessary.

17:41 Negotiations on the grain issue between Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the UN in Istanbul have ended, Russian media reported.

17:29 Two-thirds of refugees from Ukraine expect to leave their host countries and return to their homeland after the end of hostilities, according to a new UN study. At the same time, 40% of those who want to return plan to do so next month.

17:21 The third US citizen is in captivity in the occupied territories of Ukraine - 35-year-old Suedi Murekezi, The Guardian writes with reference to his friends and relatives, as well as volunteers. Murekezi was detained in Kherson, where he has been living for more than two years. Presumably, he is in a Donetsk prison. Murekezi did not participate in the fighting, unlike the other two American prisoners, but was detained for allegedly participating in pro-Ukrainian protests, which he himself denies.

17:15 The European Commission clarified its position on Kaliningrad transit: the transportation of goods through Lithuania that fell under sanctions is prohibited only by road. Rail transit is possible with the necessary controls, according to DW. Thus, for the most part, the transit of Russian goods to the Kaliningrad region will not be blocked.

16:39 North Korea has recognized the independence of both the "DPR" and "LPR", the North Korean embassy told the Russian media.

16:32 The Russian Red Cross, along with humanitarian aid, is distributing symbols of Putin's war to Ukrainian refugees, and the "volunteers" of the RKK are directly inviting young people to go to war - this is done by the head of the Kirov branch and, concurrently, the Combat Brotherhood , Yuri Basmanov, writes Layout.

According to the publication, the Russian authorities, preparing for the war, took full control of the RKK a year ago: the former leader, 73-year-old Raisa Lukutsova, was accused of fraud, and now the eminent organization in the Russian Federation is run by Kirienko's sponsors. Ukrainian refugees do not know this and are surprised why they are treated in a boorish way, and independent volunteers are pushed aside from them, referring to the fact that humanitarian aid is the prerogative of the ROC and the RRC.

16:06 Russia has used all types of its missile weapons in Ukraine. This has never happened anywhere else in the world, said Colonel Yury Ignat, spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

15:41 In the Odessa region, a pig farm building was destroyed by a missile attack tonight, a fire broke out, there were no human casualties, the Pivden Operational Command reports.

15:25 The Russians fired missiles at the Zaporozhye region. OVA reports that there were two hits, one missile hit the enterprise.

15:02 Zelensky addressed the participants of the Asian Leadership Conference in Seoul: "When Ukraine turns to partners for weapons for its defense and for the sake of strengthening sanctions against a terrorist state, this concerns not only our defense. It's like with vaccines: if you don't help others nations must be prepared that new strains of the virus will arise that will render your own protection ineffective. And I am sincerely grateful to the Republic of Korea, which is aware that this is the situation. That we must act together."

14:24 The invaders are preparing for defense in Melitopol, the mayor of the city Ivan Fedorov said. According to him, the pseudo-head of the health department ordered his subordinates to prepare food, water and seal the windows. Fedorov also explained the reason for the restriction on leaving the city: “They want to hide behind civilians during hostilities and now gather them as much as possible at the checkpoint in the city of Vasilyevka in order to cover themselves for the transfer of regular military groups to the front line.”

14:15 Talks between the delegations of Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the UN on the grain issue began in Istanbul behind closed doors, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

14:06 The "Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR" said that in the suburbs of Lugansk, the range where the ammunition was stored was hit by the Ukrainian military: "Our air defense worked - almost all the missiles were shot down, except for one that defeated the range where the ammunition depot was located The ammunition burned, exploded, scattered for one and a half, two, or even three kilometers."

13:50 In the Nikolaev area as of the morning the enemy struck 28 blows from MLRS on different settlements. As a result, the hospital and residential buildings were damaged. There was also shelling in the Vitovsky district, five civilians were previously killed, the OP reported.

13:41 To cover the budget deficit, Ukraine no longer needs $5 billion a month, as previously stated, but $9 billion, Zelensky's economic adviser Oleg Ustenko told the Financial Times.

13:35 Peskov said that during his visit to Tehran, Putin would not discuss the purchase of drones with the Iranian leader.

13:33 Podolyak explained Russia's desire to drag Belarus into the war against Ukraine: "We must understand that behind the attempts to draw Belarus into the war is not only Moscow's desire to cover the deficit of its military viability. Russia needs the utilization of the Belarusian army and the loss of power support by the Lukashenka regime. Further - absorption of RB and occupation by Russian z-zombies".

13:27 Since February 19, Russia has put 450,000 citizens of Ukraine on migration registration, including residents of the LDNR, the Russian Interior Ministry reported. Now they live in temporary accommodation centers or in the private sector.

If they use that to keep playing their hunger games, they'll keep insisting on the importance of negotiations."

The minister added that he sees only one potential reason why Russia might change its position on the grain blockade: “They want to show the countries of Africa and Asia that they want to save them from lack of food. Analysts note that at this stage, the urban areas of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk remain the main targets of the Russian Federation.

Moscow also continues to seek to undermine the legitimacy of the Ukrainian state and strengthen its own governance and administrative control over the occupied parts of Ukraine. This is also evidenced by Putin's decree, which makes it easier for Ukrainians to obtain Russian citizenship. Meanwhile, anti-Russian sentiment in occupied Ukraine leads to the persecution of Russian and pro-Russian officials, there are casualties.

In Krasnogrigorievskaya, a power line was hit - Krasnogrigorevka itself and two villages were partially without electricity. In Mirovskaya, an institution of social infrastructure was damaged.

05:50 The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) called "unsuccessful" Russian offensives north of Slavyansk, east of Seversk, as well as "unsuccessful" - assaults north of Kharkov. ISW notes that Russian troops remain on an operational pause, but continue to bomb critical areas to set the stage for future ground offensives, and are also conducting limited attacks.

Analysts also report that the Kremlin is acquiring Iranian drones that are likely to improve Russian aerial reconnaissance and indirect fire accuracy in Ukraine.

The invaders continued air and artillery strikes in the area of Bakhmut and Avdiivka. Also, the occupiers probably carried out a false flag attack on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in occupied Energodar.

01:59 The "people's militia of the LNR" said that the Ukrainian troops launched a massive strike "on the military unit of the air defense, which ensures the security of Lugansk." They admitted that "several Ukrainian missiles reached their target during the shelling of Lugansk, the sky over the city is controlled by reserve forces."

00:38 Russian troops hit the Nikopol region from the MLRS in the evening, the head of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Military District, Valentin Reznichenko, said. A fire broke out on the outskirts of Nikopol, rescuers are fighting the fire. Previously, no people were hurt.

00:05 Russia is blocking the export of grain from Ukraine by sea, because of which our country receives less income, and African countries are at risk of finding themselves on the verge of starvation. Ukraine is negotiating with Turkey and the UN regarding the export of grain. But exports are the most effective way to ensure the Armed Forces of Ukraine, for example, by driving out the occupiers from Snake Island. More details - in the material What will happen to Ukrainian grain .

00:02 Zelensky, in an evening video message, explained the significance of the fact that Ukraine became an associate member of NATO's special multilateral program for technological interoperability: "To put it simply, this is about the standards of the North Atlantic Alliance. Ukraine is now not only implementing NATO standards, but can also participate in the development of new standards. The experience of our military, the capabilities of Ukrainian institutions, the IT potential of our country - all this will be the Ukrainian contribution to the development of collective security in Europe."

I think the Daily Mail needs to put this story in a different perspective.

Most of the immigrants colonists who reached on Tuesday evening at an Eindhoven airport in the Netherlands left Afghanistan by entering Pakistain over the land border, where Dutch officials and the International Organization for Migration assisted them in reaching Islamabad.

The Afghans were reportedly unable to leave their country earlier because they lacked appropriate travel papers, according to the Dutch government. They were permitted entry into Pakistain by Pak authorities so they could go on to the Netherlands, according to the Dutch media.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Dutch government expressed its commitment to evacuate "as many eligible people as possible" from Afghanistan who makes it to Pakistain.

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported earlier this month, that it had relocated 1,801 Afghans to the Netherlands from late August 2021 and that another 942 persons were waiting to be transferred, including 766 who still remain in Afghanistan.

After two decades of conflict, the US and coalition forces withdrew from Afghanistan in late August 2021, and the Taliban seized power.

Humanitarian assistance on the ground, evacuations, resettlement of people in need of international protection, and assistance for neighboring nations hosting refugees have all been part of the global response to the situation in Afghanistan.

Russian milbloggers: military procedures cripple Russian artillery
in a part of a much longer review of the military situation, the ISW relays opinion relating to a subject of discussion yesterday - why Russia is buying Iran UAWs.
[UnderstandingWar] ...Russian Telegram channel Rybar claimed on July 12 that Russian requests and approval for artillery fire pass through a convoluted chain of command, resulting in a delay of several hours to several days between Russian ground forces requesting artillery fire, Russian targeting, and conducting the actual strikes. Rybar claimed that Russian forces in Syria reduced the time between targeting and striking to under an hour.Rybar claimed that while the Russian need for more UAVs is clear and that Iranian UAVs helped achieve a target-to-fire time of 40 minutes in Syrian training grounds additional UAVs do not solve the problems of overcentralized Russian command and overreliance on artillery in Ukraine. Russian milblogger Voyennyi Osvedomitel; claimed that Russian forces had faced the same overcentralized command during the First Chechen War, wherein the inability of Russian ground forces to request artillery support without going through a chain of command inhibited responses to enemy offensive actions. Milblogger Yuzhnyi Veter claimed that Ukrainian artillery forces target-to-response time is under 40 seconds.

"Three minutes"
"Yaaay!"

"How long to get clearance?"
"Hours. Maybe never."

#2  Steel Wind(1994): Colonel Georg Bruchmuller and the Birth of Modern Artillery
...Great book.
One of the biggest problems is that the High Command just does not want the "observer on the spot" to have any say on using heavy weapons. It was true in the heavily orchestrated artillery plans of WW1 and it is still true today.

-Great Cultural Revolution
Usual suspects say space telescope is - wait for it - homophobic
[MSN] The excitement around unprecedented new images of far-off galaxies has reignited calls from some within the scientific and queer communities to rename the James Webb Space Telescope because of Webb’s alleged involvement in past anti-LGTBQ government policies in the mid-20th century.
You saw this coming, right? Eventually they come for everything.
Images from the telescope, a project three decades in the making, were released on Tuesday by NASA. The observatory, which launched into orbit in December 2021, is about the size of a tennis court and can take more detailed images from deeper in space than any equipment of its kind.

NASA has billed the mission as an "Apollo moment," with the potential to answer probing questions at the frontier of space discovery, including about life on other planets. But the agency has also faced criticism for naming its signature project after former NASA Administrator James Webb, who previously had served as undersecretary of state during the Truman administration, when the federal government systematically purged its ranks of LGBTQ employees.

In a statement to NBC News, a NASA spokesperson said Tuesday the agency’s historians have conducted an "exhaustive search through currently accessible archives on James Webb and his career," which has included speaking with experts who "previously researched this topic extensively."

"NASA found no evidence at this point that warrants changing the name of the telescope," the statement said. "They are compiling their information now into an update the agency will share."

Chanda Prescod-Weinstein, an assistant professor of physics at the University of New Hampshire and one of the authors of the Scientific American editorial, called this week’s release of the telescope’s images "bittersweet."

"I’m so excited for the new images and so angry at NASA HQ," she wrote on Twitter on Monday. "NASA leadership has stubbornly refused to acknowledge that what is now public info about (Webb’s) legacy means he does not merit having a Great Observatory named after him."
Scientific American rolled left when global warming became the hot new thing — or maybe before, but that’s when I noticed it. This is just more of the same.

From 2016 to 2018, she was the principal investigator on a Foundational Questions Institute (FQXI) grant titled "Epistemological Schemata of Astro | Physics: A Reconstruction of Observers."

#4  Doesn't the Webb telescope have this giant penis-shaped thingy as it's main sensor array? How, then, can it be 'homophobic'?

It doesn't, really, but work with me here...

Oh - and this Chandra Hyphenated-Name broad almost makes me ashamed to be a UNH-Durham alumnus. Like Michael Bolton said in 'Office Space' - "Why should I change my name? He's the one who sucks!"

Okay - one has nothing to do with the other - I just think that's a great movie line. And I got into UNH by the skin of my teeth; at least I didn't have to blow anyone Kamala style like Ms. Hyphenated-Name probably did. I have a story about one of my classmates f'n a professor to get a better grade than I did (and the rest of the people in our group) in an Organizational Behaviour class. She wasn't happy about it when I called her on it -guilty as charged. I am the law!

So the usual weirdo's and idiot suspects say a space telescope is now a homophobic symbol.

Then the usual MSM, once known as a "professional" media / press members see click-bait revenue therefore nothing wrong with it. So they publish the asinine ()o() comments?

Given the above summation, it is more likely that there is more Factual Honesty in Blog comments than the MSM.

Skynet, WOPR, even Doomsday Device didn't have to have to be in physical presence to activate weapon systems. Did HAL actually have a disk delivered to the pod bay doors, or did it use the communication systems. That isn't just Sci-Fi Canon, I get real time updates at work what is being shopped for at home and there is no formal arrangement for that to happen.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
About HIMARS
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:

[ColonelCassad] 1. At the current stage, they are used at the same distance at which Tochka-U can operate. Even the night strike on Luhansk was carried out not only with the help of HIMARS, but also with Tochka-U missiles. As you can see, so far no fundamental increase in the range of destruction has occurred.

Previously, missiles flew quite well to Berdyansk, Taganrog, Millerovo, the Belgorod region, etc. Without any HIMARS and for the most part got off. Of course, there are more long-range missiles for HIMARS, but they have either not been delivered yet, or they have been delivered, but have not been used. I would estimate the probability of such deliveries as high. The Pentagon has already given the go-ahead for strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation. Basically to himself.

2. As sources from the field have already noted, the use of HIMARS is in conjunction with other MLRS ("Grad", "Alder", "Smerch", "Hurricane") and OTRK "Tochka-U", where the task of the old Soviet complexes is to "overload systems air defense with multiple targets and increase the chances of the HIMARS missile to hit the target.

As we see from the episode with Nova Kakhovka, air defense systems and air defense missile systems may well shoot down HIMARS missiles just as they say, shoot down missiles "Hurricane" or the same "Tochka-U". Precisely because, that this is possible, the enemy uses a massive missile launch on one specific target in order to increase his chances of success.

3. Accordingly, the problem is not in HIMARS itself, which is just a good MLRS system, but in the changed tactics of the enemy, who, using technical and undercover intelligence data, focused his attention on the logistics and command infrastructure of the RF Armed Forces in Ukraine, trying to act within the framework of the concept of network-centric war, seeking to disrupt the supply chains and disable individual elements of the command structure.

4. I am sure that the change in approaches to the tactics of delivering strikes is the decision of the USA / NATO, which provide target designation, ensure the supply of the necessary weapons for such strikes, and most likely they themselves are directly involved in ensuring the operation of the complexes. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are nothing more than a screen and performers.
