#3  actually the majoritarian view is that neutrinos (there are more than one type) do have a mass

however that mass is smaller than 1 millionth that of the electron

so maybe 'near zero mass'
Posted by: Lord Garth || 07/26/2022 17:41 Comments || Top||

#4  It might help to be clear. Low energy neutrinos from ordinary nuclear reactions are all over the place (e.g. from the Sun) and tend to zip right through the Earth and us without interacting. Most of the time.

What they're talking about is ultra-high energy neutrinos, which actually have a fairly decent chance of interacting with us--which is how the big neutrino detectors like IceCube work. A neutrino interacts and produces a muon (if it was a muon neutrino) and the detector spots the Cerencov light from the muon's track and reconstructs the track to point it back to its source. (It's a lot harder with electron neutrinos or tau neutrinos--the pointing isn't nearly so good since they produce showers of particles.)

What _makes_ these ultra-high-energy particles is still a question, though knowing _where_ they come from can help answer it.

Russia to quit International Space Station 'after 2024'
[SpaceDaily] Russia has decided to quit the International Space Station "after 2024", the newly-appointed chief of Moscow's space agency told President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.
Of course, the US will keep spending on this feel-good waste of money
The announcement comes as tensions rage between the Kremlin and the West over Moscow's military intervention in Ukraine and several rounds of unprecedented sanctions against Russia.

Russia and the United States have worked side by side on the ISS, which has been in orbit since 1998.

"Of course, we will fulfil all our obligations to our partners, but the decision to leave this station after 2024 has been made," Yury Borisov, who was appointed Roscosmos chief in mid-July, told Putin.

"I think that by this time we will start putting together a Russian orbital station," Borisov added, calling it the space programme's main "priority".

"Good," Putin replied in comments released by the Kremlin.

Until now space exploration was one of the few areas where cooperation between Russia and the United States and its allies had not been wrecked by tensions over Ukraine and elsewhere.

Borisov said the space industry was in a "difficult situation".

He said he would seek "to raise the bar, and first of all, to provide the Russian economy with the necessary space services", pointing to navigation, communication, and data transmission, among other things.

Sending the first man into space in 1961 and launching the first satellite four years earlier are among key accomplishments of the Soviet space programme and remain a major source of national pride in Russia.

But experts say the Russian space agency remains a shadow of its former self and has in recent years suffered a series of setbacks including corruption scandals and the loss of a number of satellites and other spacecraft.

Borisov, a former deputy prime minister with a military background, has replaced Dmitry Rogozin, a firebrand nationalist politician known for his bombastic statements and eccentric behaviour.

Ted Cruz releases graphic video detailing 'narco slave trade' at southern border: 'This is barbaric'
[FoxNews] Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, released a graphic video highlighting the brutality of what he calls the "Narco slave trade" at the U.S.-Mexico border.

The video begins with Cruz and border officials tending to a group of migrants who crossed the border late in the night. He highlights that the vast majority of migrants are being economically exploited by the drug cartels bringing them into the U.S.

"These children come in in debt to vicious cartels thousands and thousands of dollars. The teenage boys work for the gangs in every city in America, and the teenage girls experience a hell worse than that, with far too many of them human trafficked into sex slavery," Cruz says in the video. "Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are responsible for the worst plague of slavery in America since the Civil War."

"This is not compassionate. This is not humane. This is barbaric," Cruz adds as the footage cycles graphic photos of migrants who have died attempting to cross the border.

President Biden's administration has presided over record-breaking border crossings in both 2021 and 2022.

The administration has repeatedly attempted to dismiss border surges as a yearly pattern, but while the southern border has seen a pattern of increases in migration each spring, the surges in both 2021 and 2022 far outpaced previous years.

Biden claimed in March 2021 that the border surge was "what happens every year." The U.S. saw 1.7 million border crossings by the end of that year, an all-time record.

2022 is expected to break that record, however.

Pennsylvania man dies after being suffocated by pet boa constrictor that was shot by police
[FOX] Police in Upper Macungie Township, Pennsylvania, attempted to save a 27-year-old man who was being suffocated by a pet boa constrictor in his home last week by shooting the reptile, but the man succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, the Lehigh County Coroner announced.

Elliot Senseman, 27, died from an anoxic brain injury due to asphyxiation by constriction, meaning that the snake completely cut off oxygen to his brain, the coroner said.

Las Vegas attempted murder caught on video: Homeowner narrowly escapes being shot after suspect's gun jams
[FOX] The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is seeking help to identify an attempted murder suspect who was recorded on a garage security camera pulling out a gun and trying to shoot a man after a botched robbery in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday.

Authorities said the unidentified suspect approached the victim’s vehicle as he was parking in a garage and demanded his belongings. The victim then ran across the street, and the suspect followed closely behind, ultimately pulling out a gun and pointing it at the victim.

The homeowner narrowly escapes being shot after the suspect's gun failed to fire, police said.

Las Vegas police said the suspect then entered a nearby vehicle and fled.

This would have been 25 years ago, but there were a group of feral youts who were preying on customers, and the owners contacted said youts to see what could be done.

The youts demanded to talk to 'the man'.

Accordingly, some gentlemen from Back East came out and met the leaders of the youts some distance out of town. The youts made their demands, and the gentlemen from back east replied...kinetically.

The two survivors had their legs broken and were told that since it was such a lovely night, they could walk back. That was, until recently, the last serious problems I'd heard of there.

Disgusting - Al Gore uses murdered Uvalde children as prop in attack on ‘climate deniers'
[Right Scoop] Al Gore did an interview for Meet the Press tomorrow and they put out some preview clips, and in one of them the fake green giant used the massacre of children in a Uvalde elementary school as a toss-away metaphor for "climate denial."

If you think it sounds disgusting by my description, just watch it for yourself and see how truly heinous this is. And yes, as you can imagine, nobody in the media has blinked twice about it.

"The one thing that Senator Manchin said that I really agree with is that, ’If we want more pro-climate policies, we need to elect more pro-climate senators and representatives in both parties.’ And we’ve got an election coming up. And this is time for all of us to step up" said Gore in the lead-up to the comment. He was answering Chuck Todd asking him about America being a leader in getting rid of "fossil fuels."

Then he made the disgusting comparison.

"You know, the climate deniers are really in some ways similar to all of those almost 400 law enforcement officers in Uvalde, Texas, who were waiting outside an unlocked door while the children were being massacred. They heard the screams, they heard the gunshots, and nobody stepped forward. And God bless those families who’ve suffered so much. And law enforcement officials tell us that’s not typical of what law enforcement usually does. And confronted with this global emergency, what we’re doing with our inaction and failing to walk through the door and stop the killing is not typical of what we are capable of as human beings. We do have the solutions. And I think these extreme events that are getting steadily worse and more severe are really beginning to change minds."

After Transforming Himself Into 'Alien' with Amputations, Tattoos and Implants, Man Hits Problem of Intergalactic Proportions
[Western Journal] After a multitude of tattoos, amputations and surgeries to turn himself into something resembling a "black alien," a French man says he’s run into a bit of a problem: Not a whole lot of people in his part of the galaxy want to give him work.

According to Indy100, a publication associated with the U.K. Independent, Anthony Loffredo has what we’d consider to be the modern version of fame and self-realization.

Instagram followers: 1.2 million. The 34-year-old has manufactured a total body transformation into his ideal self — in this case, a being that doesn’t look like it’s from this planet. He’s living his truth, as we’d say.

And yet, Loffredo is upset because prospective employers "judge him."

That quite obvious statement came during a recent episode of the Spanish-language podcast Club 113.

Liz Cheney thinking about running for president in 2024
[Breitbart via Right Scoop] Liz Cheney is apparently considering running for president in 2024. She was asked about it yesterday by Jake Tapper and she suggested she’s considering it:

Via Breitbart:
Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) said Sunday on CNN’s "State of the Union" that she would make a decision about running for president in 2024 "down the road."

Anchor Jake Tapper said, "You’ve made it clear you don’t think Donald Trump shouldn’t be trusted with the presidency again. Are you willing to run for president to try to stop him? At least in part?"

Cheney said, "I haven’t really at this point. I’ve not made a decision about 2024. I am really very focused on the substance of what we have to do on the select committee. Very focus on the work that I have to do to represent the people of Wyoming. I’ll make a decision about 2024 down the road."

She added, "But I do think as we look towards the next presidential election, as I said, I believe that our nation stands on the edge of an abyss. I do believe that we all have to really think very seriously about the dangers we face in the threats we face and we have to elect serious candidates. We’ve got to look people who will take their obligations and their oath seriously and who will deal with issues of substance with respect for people who have disagreements. And we’ve got to be able to come together and stop the very dangerous kind of politics we have lived through over the last year and a half certainly."
I can’t think of someone with less of a chance to win a presidential election.

If she runs in the Republican primary she’ll get destroyed. If she runs in the Democratic primary most Democrats will think she’s a DINO and won’t trust her.

The only think of consequence she could do is play the spoiler by running as an independent, and she might not even be able to do that. But I suspect if she does run, that’s what she’ll do because she hates Trump.

Afghanistan
CIA director ‘very proud' of Afghanistan analysis that led to the disastrous withdrawal
[American Thinker] Close enough for government work’ has taken on a whole new dimension in the Biden era with the remarks reportedly delivered by CIA Director William Burns Wednesday at an Aspen Security Forum discussion. Jerry Dunleavy of the Washington Examiner has the story.

CIA Director William Burns said he is "very proud" of the agency’s analysis in Afghanistan in 2021 despite being blindsided by the swift collapse of the Afghan government and failing to predict how quickly the Taliban would take Kabul. (snip)

Burns said Wednesday during an Aspen Security Forum discussion that he was "very proud ... of the analysis, with all of its imperfections, that we tried to provide to policymakers over the six months leading up to the withdrawal."

The CIA director prefaced this by admitting the agency had not predicted the Taliban would take over the country as fast as they did and that "all of us have lessons to learn from experiences like that." He suggested that the CIA had at least gotten it less wrong than other parts of the U.S. government.

"As the president has said publicly, none of us anticipated that the Afghan government was going to flee as quickly as it did, that the Afghan military was going to collapse as fast as it did," Burns said. "Having said that, I think CIA at least was always on the more pessimistic end of the spectrum in terms of highlighting, you know, over the course of the spring and the summer, the obvious ways in which the Taliban were advancing rapidly and how this was hollowing out in many ways, not just the political leadership but also the military."

Burns shared the CIA’s assessment in July 2021, when he did not say he believed the country would fall in half a year, let alone in less than a month.

Government Corruption
Student loan servicers instructed to hold off sending billing statements
[Washington Examiner] Student loan servicing contractors for the federal government are being told to hold off on sending out billing statements as the Aug. 31 deadline looms for when a loan payment freeze of more than two years is set to end, according to a report.

Scott Buchanan, executive director of the Student Loan Servicing Alliance, said the Education Department told loan servicers not to send out notices about resuming payments as the Biden administration weighs forgiving billions of dollars in federal student loans.

"The situation is that we’re almost 30 days away from the planned resumption, and the department has been telling servicers to hold off on resumption communications for the last few months," Buchanan told the Wall Street Journal. "Maybe the department expects that the White House will yet again kick the can down the road."

A spokesperson for the Education Department told the outlet that it would be communicating directly to borrowers about ending the pause "when a decision is made."

Federal student loan payments have been halted since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A freeze on payments has been extended six times, twice under President Donald Trump and four times under President Joe Biden.

Biden has yet to make a final decision on student loan forgiveness, but some proposals have suggested he is considering expunging at least $10,000 per borrower. That number is significantly lower than the $50,000 in student debt forgiveness that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) have proposed.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Palestinian convicted of murder for 2018 car-ramming that killed 2 IDF soldiers
[IsraelTimes] IDF court finds Ala Qabha guilty of intentionally killing Netanel Kahalani, 20, and Ziv Daos, 21, near the Mevo Dotan settlement more than four years ago.

The Israeli military on Sunday convicted a Paleostinian man of murder for ramming his car into a group of IDF soldiers in 2018, killing two.

Ala Qabha, was convicted of two counts of "intentionally causing death" — the equivalent of murder under military law — and two counts of attempting to intentionally cause death.

Qabha rammed his car into the group of soldiers on March 16, 2018, outside a military post in the northern West Bank, near the Mevo Dotan settlement, killing Sgt. Netanel Kahalani, and Capt. Ziv Daos and seriously injuring two others. The army later designated the car-ramming as a terror attack.

The following day, the Shin Bet security agency said Qabha had confessed to carrying out the attack. It said Qabha had initially claimed the incident was an accident, but later changed his story and said it was deliberate and that he intended to murder soldiers.

The security agency said at the time it appeared he had acted alone, and possibly spontaneously.

Footage from the scene showed Qabha driving past the soldiers, then making a U-turn and accelerating into them, at a speed of around 70 kilometers per hour, according to the IDF.

An initial sentencing hearing is set to take place on September 11, the IDF said.

Kahalani’s and Daos’s families were updated on the developments in the case.

Daos, 21, from the central town of Azor, was a platoon commander in a Home Front Command search and rescue unit. He was posthumously promoted to the rank of captain.

Kahalani, 20, from Elyakim in northern Israel, served as a driver in the Menashe Regional Brigade. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant.

Qabha’s apartment in the northern West Bank town of Barta’a was demolished by the military several months after the attack.

IDF: Palestinian man detained with loaded homemade gun in Gush Etzion
[IsraelTimes] Footage shows suspect hurling molotov cocktail near Migdal Oz, fleeing area; military says he was also carrying fake bomb

A Paleostinian man armed with a makeshift firearm was detained in the West Bank’s Etzion settlement bloc (Gush Etzion) on Monday afternoon, after starting a fire with a Molotov cocktail, the military said.

The Israel Defense Forces said soldiers operating near Migdal Oz were dispatched to the scene after the suspect hurled a Molotov cocktail near the settlement.

He was caught after a brief chase, and was found to be armed with a makeshift gun and a mock bomb, the IDF said.

The military published an X-ray image showing a bullet loaded into the gun.

The suspect was taken for further questioning by the Shin Bet security agency.

Footage published by Kan news showed the man hurling the Molotov cocktail and fleeing the area.

The incident came after two Paleostinians carrying Molotov cocktails were arrested near Migdal Oz by troops and local security forces on Saturday, according to local authorities.

Seven wanted Paleostinians were arrested during raids in the West Bank overnight, the IDF said Monday morning.

The association’s president, Suheil Ashour, tells AFP at the protest that his body would stand firm against legislation delivered by presidential decree that curbs Paleostinian "rights and freedoms."

Highly radicalised Lashkar operative masquerading as food delivery boy arrested in Bengaluru
[OneIndia] The Bengaluru police have arrested an operative of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba following a late night operation. Four persons too have been detained in connection with the same case.

The arrested person has been identified as Akthar Hussian Lashkar from Assam and the police say that he is a highly radicalised youth. The operation was carried out by the sleuths of the Central Crime Branch's (CCB) Special Wing in coordination with the Internal Security Division and Intelligence Wing.

The raid took place following a tip off about the presence of some radical elements at the BTP locality near Tilaknagar. The term comprised more than 30 personnel. While the police is yet to make any statement about the arrest, it is learnt that Akthar was working as a food delivery boy.

Sources tell OneIndia that the raids took place at 8 pm on Sunday. Akthar was residing on the third floor and claimed that he was a food delivery boy.

Currently five persons are being questioned and an FIR has been lodged with the Tilaknagar police.

The arrest comes just a month after the arrest of Talib Hussain a member of the Hizbul Mujahideen
...Party of Holy Warriors, founded by Muhammad Ahsan Dar in September 1989. One of the Pak sock puppets waging jihad in Indian Kashmir. It was originally organized as the armed wing of Jamaat-e-Islami. In 1990, Dar declared Hizbul as the sword arm of Jamaat. Hizbul murdered many of the pro-independence intelligentsia in Kashmir. After the organization was taken over by Syed Salahuddin Dar and several other ex-Hizb leaders were assassinated between 2001 and 2003...
in Bengaluru. He was arrested from the Okhalipuram area and the police said that he had fled Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
with his wife and children after the hunt for him was intensified.

Hussain had taken shelter in a Mosque in the city and would deliver sermons during the Friday prayers.

Rockets target Khor Mor gas field in Sulaimani
[Rudaw] At least three rockets targeted Khor Mor gas field, operated by the UAE-based Dana Gas in Chamchamal district of Sulaimani, the district’s mayor told Rudaw on Monday, exactly one month after a series of rocket attacks struck the field in June.

The rockets struck at around 7:50pm, Mayor of Chamchamal district Ramik Ramadhan told Rudaw’s Hemin Baban, adding that the extent of damages made due to the attack remain unclear.

Ahmed Mufti, Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) natural resources deputy minister, confirmed the news to Rudaw, adding that investigations into the incident have begun.

"The rockets have landed in the vicinity of the field," said Mufti, adding that "they have not resulted in any casualties."

Mufti stressed that the attack has not affected the field's work process and that gas production continues as usual.

The KRG condemned the attack later in the evening, calling on the Iraqi government to take the necessary measurements to prevent the repetition of such attacks.

"We call on the Iraqi Federal Government to take the necessary measures to limit and prevent a repetition of these terrorist attacks, which seek to destroy the security and stability of the whole of Iraq and the economic development of the Kurdistan Region," read a statement from KRG Spokesperson Jotiar Adil on Monday.

The Kurdistan Region has been facing an unprecedented number of rocket and drone attacks since the beginning of the year, mostly blamed on Iran-backed militias.

Three rockets struck the key Khor Mor gas field in a matter of four days in June, leading Dana Gas to temporarily suspended the work on one of its expansion projects. At least two contractors were maimed as a result of June’s attacks.

No parties have assumed responsibility for the attacks.

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani said in June that he was troubled by the attacks on Khor Mor, noting that additional security forces will be deployed to the area.

Khor Mor field produces 452 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, according to Dana Gas.

US pumps $476 million to Somalia amid calls for humanitarian aid
[Garowe] As part of responding to the ongoing drought in the federal republic of Somalia, the United States has pumped over $476 million to the Horn of Africa country, following concerns by stakeholders who have been asking the world to chip in and assist the country.

Through the US Agency for International Development [USAID], Washington said the money will be directed to critical humanitarian and development assistance to the people of Somalia as a historically unprecedented drought pushes more than 7 million people to the edge of starvation.

This now means the US has pumped a total of $707 million for humanitarian assistance for the people of Somalia in 2022. Dozens of people have bit the dust following the hunger which has continued to ravage the country for the last 15 months.

"USAID’s critical assistance comes as Somalia is experiencing four back-to-back drought seasons, and more than 200,000 people currently face an imminent risk of famine," read the statement from the agency.

"A confluence of crises, including COVID-19, desert locust infestations, and continued recovery from previous droughts have ground away at people’s livelihoods across the country. Meanwhile,
...back at the Senate, Odius Sepulcher called for war against the Visigoths...
climate change has increased the frequency and intensity of droughts globally."

Sunday's announcement, the US said, includes $461 million in humanitarian assistance that will allow USAID partners to urgently scale-up assistance to millions of people across Somalia.

"A portion of today’s funding for Somalia is included in the additional Ukraine supplemental and is part of the $2.76 billion in USAID assistance announced by President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity, except maybe for abandoning Afghanistan...
on June 27, 2022," the agency added.

"It is immediately being programmed to address the direct impacts of the global food security crisis and historic drought in countries with high levels of acute food insecurity, reliance on Russian and Ukrainian imports, and vulnerability to price shocks."

Stakeholders have been asking well-wishers to chip in and assist the country as over 7 million people risk exposure to famine. Somalia is also battling internal challenges such as the al-Shabaab
...... Somalia's version of the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...

menace and the unending political squabbles within the Horn of Africa nation.

Iraq
Denmark allocates $7.5 million to Iraqi security reform
[Rudaw] Denmark on Sunday confirmed its commitment to security reform in Iraq through allocating $7.5 million to the country by 2025.

"Denmark has reconfirmed its commitment to strengthening Security Sector Reform in Iraq by in 2022 providing approximately $US 1.6 million to the United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
Development Programme (UNDP) in Iraq," read a statement from UNDP on Sunday, adding that Copenhagen plans to contribute a total of $7.5 million to Baghdad by 2025.

The fund provided by Denmark will be allocated on several different projects such as providing technical assistance for the country to implement a National Security Strategy, the training of mid-ranking coppers, and offering vocational training to volunteer fighters who fought against the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS)

"Denmark maintains its commitment to supporting Iraq's transition to stability, security and recovery. The strengthening of local police is important in the transition from green to blue security," Danish ambassador to Iraq Stig Paolo Piras said in the UNDP statement.

The Danish ministry of foreign affairs also expressed the country’s will to support Iraq’s security.

Denmark has played a significant role in Iraq’s security.

The country took charge of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s (NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions...
) training mission in Iraq on December 2020, until passing on command to Italia in May.

In an interview with Rudaw in June, Piras said that Denmark has always seen Iraq as an "interesting market" and that it has always been a good country to collaborate with.

This is the second large scale fund allocated to Iraq through the UNDP in less than a month.

Canada and the UK in late June launched a $6.8 million project in cooperation with the UNDP and the Iraqi government to combat climate change in Iraq.

Europe
Does Germany's special network to prevent Islamist extremists' attacks work?
[DW] Political and religious extremism has long been seen as a threat to democracy in Germany. The Counter Terrorism Center is where agencies and police network to prevent Islamist hard boy attacks. Is it effective?

December 19, 2016, was a particularly dark day for Germany's Joint Counter Terrorism Center. That was the day when the terrorist Anis Amri steered a stolen truck into a crowd of people at the Christmas market on Berlin's Breitscheidplatz. Twelve people died, and over 60 were maimed, some of them critically. Many victims are still suffering today from the consequences of the worst Islamist attack in Germany.

The tragic twist to the story was that police had had the attacker on their radar for a long time. The Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) had long had him on their list of "Gefährder" (potential attackers or dangerous persons), a term used for suspects who might carry out an attack at any time. The special investigator appointed by the Berlin Senate gave the security authorities a devastating report, saying "everything that could be done wrong, was done wrong."

ANTI-TERROR NETWORK
Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, who has been in office since 2021, was far away from Berlin at the time. She was a member of the Hesse state parliament. In her new role, she has paid a visit to the Joint Counter Terrorism Center, or GTAZ, in Berlin, which deals exclusively with the issue of Islamist extremism.

Here, 40 federal and state security agencies work together. The large number is mainly due to the fact that all 16 German states have their own Criminal Investigation Office (LKA) and their own domestic intelligence agency (Verfassungsschutz). Every day, the representatives meet in a long conference room to discuss the current threat levels.

The Interior Minister described this form of networking as the "most important building block" in the fight against Islamist terrorism. Since the GTAZ was founded in 2004, 21 attacks have been prevented, she said, calling this a "great achievement." But in eleven more cases, security authorities were too late, she admits. "This shows that the threat level remains high," Faeser concluded.

While the Interior Minister was upbeat in her assessment of the German "security architecture" — a label for this formalized interaction of the authorities — other politicians were more critical.

In view of the many mishaps before and after the Breitscheidplatz attack, conservative MP Stephan Harbarth came to the conclusion that, "federalism can become an obstacle to the fight against Islamist terrorism." He made his remarks following the special investigator's final report in 2017.

FIGHTING ISLAMIST EXTREMISM
Harbarth is now the President of the Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe and wants to see more centralized control: "We need federal authorities to be more involved in dealing with dangerous persons," the former member of the Bundestag demanded. In his new job, he also has to deal with the issue of combating terrorism. Time and again, the Court has to deal with the security apparatus and the legislation which is the basis for the work of police agencies and intelligence services such as the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) or the domestic intelligence agency, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (Verfassungsschutz, BfV).

The GTAZ is a place for networking rather than an office that has a legal remit for the comprehensive exchange of information. Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser says she could imagine changing that, but the most important thing, she says, is that the cooperation can continue.

But the lack of a clear legal basis is precisely what constitutional law expert Matthias Bäcker has been criticizing for years: "So far, there is no one who is responsible for controlling the GTAZ as such," he complained even before the Breitscheidplatz attack.

On the homepage of the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), the GTAZ is described as a "cooperation platform." The "expertise of all relevant actors" will be bundled and "effective cooperation" will be made possible. In practice, however, this can sometimes go wrong, as the failure in the Anis Amri case showed particularly painfully.

CRITICISM OF GERMAN SECURITY FORCES
Ulf Buermeyer, a lawyer and chairman of the Society for Civil Liberties (Gesellschaft fur Freiheitsrechte, GFF) sees the GTAZ as "a symptom of a misguided development in the German security architecture."

Buermeyer filed a complaint against the Bavarian Constitutional Protection Act with the Federal Constitutional Court. In that context, he also brought up the GTAZ and its operations. His observations read like an after-the-fact explanation for why it was unable to prevent the attack on the Berlin Christmas market. This is because the "overlapping of competencies and responsibilities has considerable disadvantages for the prevention of danger. Multiple responsibilities of police and intelligence services lead to a "systematic diffusion of information." He concluded with the saying "too many cooks spoil the broth."

In his statement to the Federal Constitutional Court, for which he himself once used to work as a research assistant, Buermeyer criticized what he sees as an unclear division of labor between the security authorities. If many agencies are "somehow a little bit" responsible, they each see only a partial picture of the threat. "But then no agency puts together the pieces of the mosaic into a comprehensive picture of a situation."

The Federal Interior Minister at the time, Thomas de Mazière, suggested that the many mistakes in dealing with the hard boy Anis Amri should lead to more centralizarion in the German security architecture. But he was unable to prevail against the federal states. In essence, everything remained the same.

India-Pakistan
Bihar and Kerala: Where terror groups find ample loopholes to plan, plot and execute
[OneIndia] The connection between Bihar and Kerala can be seen in the fact that the Indian Mujahideen
A locally recruited auxilliary of Pakistain's Lashkar-e-Taiba, designed to give a domestic patina to Pakistain's terror war against its bigger neighbor...
being formed in Kerala and then it went on to form its strongest module in Bihar.

The Bihar police recently busted a major module following which it was learnt that the accused persons had plotted the liquidation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also planned on setting up an Islamic nation by 2047.

The National Investigation Agency is also investigating a case relating to a Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh
The JMB is said to be the youth front of Al Mujahideen, the parent organization that began working toward establishing Bangladesh as an Islamic state in the mid 1990s, which remains obscure and probably defunct today. Other organizations, such as Jama'atul Jihad, JMB, Jagrata Muslim Janata Bangladesh (JMJB), Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HUJI), Hizbut Tawhid, Tawhidi Janata, Islami Jubo Shangha, Islami Shangha, Al Falah A'am Unnayan Shanstha and Shahadat-e al Hiqma are believed to be part of the Al Mujahideen network. The JMB at its peak was reported to contain at least 100,000 members, and an alleged 2,000-man suicide brigade, few of whom actually exploded. JMB allegedly received financial assistance from individual donors in Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Libya. Reports have claimed that funding of JMB by international NGOs like Kuwait based Society of the Revival of Islamic Heritage (RIHS) and Doulatul Kuwait, Saudi Arabia based Al Haramaine Islamic Institute and Rabita Al Alam Al Islami, Qatar Charitable Society and UAE-based Al Fuzaira and Khairul Ansar Al Khairia. The top leadership of JMB was captured in 2005 and hung in 2007, which pretty much shot their bolt.
(JMB) module and has made seven arrests so far. The latest person to be arrested is Ali Asgar a resident of Siswaniya village of Bihar.

Incidents of radical Islamic modules being busted in Bihar is nothing new. It dates back to the late 2000s when the Indian Mujahideen and Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) had a free run in the state.

The agencies had complained back then that it was the politics of appeasement which had made it very hard for modules to be busted in the state. Yasin Bhatkal who headed the Indian Mujahideen (IM) had said in his interrogation that the Darbhanga module had been set up in 2009 and they chose the area as the atmosphere in the state was conducive for them to set up such a module.

This module was never used for any terror strikes within the state as they feared that the trail would lead to them.

An Intelligence Bureau official tells OneIndia that like in the case of Kerala, certain places in Bihar are extremely difficult to deal with. In certain places in northern Kerala and areas such as Darbhanga a lot depends on human intelligence and this is very hard to come by because a large number of the local politicians and locals back such modules.

Another official says that these areas have been a free-for-all. While on one hand illegal immigrants colonists keep infiltrating into such areas in Bihar, in Kerala it has been the problem of Wahhabism and its radical preachers from the Gulf.

The connection between Bihar and Kerala can be seen in the fact that the Indian Mujahideen being formed in Kerala and then it went on to form its strongest module in Bihar.

In August 2013, an operative of the Students Islamic Movement of India, Abdul Sattar was deported from the United Arab Emirates. He was charged in a case relating to the Wagamon Camp. This camp was held in 2007 during his interrogation, Sattar told the agencies that the IM was formed in 2007. He also said that 40 persons had attended that camp and later they decided to break up into different groups and arrange terror strikes.

It was also decided that Kerala would remain the base camp and all plans would be executed from Bihar and both these states would not be targeted as the agencies would lead up to their main modules.

Senior officials say that for long they have had a hostile feedback from the local agencies of both the states. In Kerala the officials say that the political backing for such local modules was so strong that if they did try busting it there was a better chance of them being tripped over rather than the problem being solved.

For long the problem was faced in Bihar too. In this context one much recall that when Yasin Bhatkal was arrested in 2013, the agencies wanted the Bihar police to probe him first for setting up the module in Darbhanga. The result: They refused.

Bihar is a today a transit for illicit weapons, explosive and ammo from nearby Nepal, that's all. The various modules set up by jihaders, maoists, organized crime if all sorts in Bihar are only for convenience sake. The state is like a ten day old pizza left out in the rain. Since the 50s, this place has been a bastion of criminals, like a malnourished Mexico. Illegal mining and contracting is the number one earner for corrupt administrations there. And the corporations that make money from it are great revenue sources for New Delhi anyway. So the governments at the center never cared how the damn state is run.

Now, it's come to bite them in the ass when the home agencies like the NIA come whining about 'ooh they were throwing darts at a portrait of Modi in a shed!' And the police is not able to set foot inside fortified locations with going General Dyer on thousands of Indians. Nobody's got the balls to kill kill kill anymore, and that's the root of all problems everywhere. Anyway that's another discussion.

Kerala is a completely different thingy. It is a communist bastion. And before that it's a Dravidian state, a society violently opposed to all of North India, a primeval enmity arising from the Aryan invasion theory, long twisted story, debatable too. The Catholics had a good good hold on Kerala, they built the convents and they facilitated the 100% literacy rate the society likes to tout. But some time in the late 90s, the locals who had been kept low level clergy, ushers, candle lighters what have you expressed a desire to be bishops and to live in the Victorian styled bungalows and lord it over the wimmin and kiddies! They whined and nipped at the heels of local gummint until all white missionaries were slowly shunted out of India and we were left with coconut chomping bongo beaters in ecclesiastical robes to 'manage' the moolah that still came from Europe for spreading 'the kingdom'.

Anyway, by the 2000s these mediocre, insincere, corrupt motherfcukers had lost the flocks, all credibility of the church had diluted and Islam and commie atheism were gaining popularity in a society that thought itself oversmart. Know what the sons of bitches did? They accomodated all doctrines popular with people within the ... well, whatever the catholic church teaches. It was these assholes that began spouting the stupid words 'Abrahamic Religions' to retain memberships or appear smart, but it gave the undereducated bumpkin Hindus enough ammo to go after christianity and judaism as similar to Islam later. The Kerala bishops even initiated joint prayers and mix-ups and... basically the doctrine of Balaam, with a lot of coconut curry yecchh. The fuckin' idiots. Enter Sôrōs and his myriad tentacles, which fed this religious openness madness and intermingling, open sociëty remember? The Central government, in one of the most strategically correct moves, curbed all foreign NGOs and especially open söciety type shit, freezing assets, dissallowing funding. Now the churches were still allowed their 'tranches' from Europe but would be watched closely.

It was only when the Moslems started kidnapping their women, raping and seducing minors and tearing apart their flock that they began to cry to New Delhi, the pope, the EU, madre dios, whoever would listen.

Bottomline is, once safely on it's way to progress, overseen by Jesuits and catholic missionary types, with a little hit and miss of course, this place went to dogs. It's like west bengal now, only a mass culling will purge it of the filth that has accumulated.

These statements in the press, given out by home and int agencies are just being politically correct. They cannot dare to mention that the underlying problem between Indian states, which keeps them from achieving any consensus on national security policy, is regionalism and communalism. But if this is what they really think, they are a bunch of schlemiels.

If any of this raving made sense to you, I commend you on your intelligence. 🤖

#2  I mean the main problem is not jihaders and crims making friends with each other over distances, for convenience sake. They all do. Because they're, unlike the rest of society, are united. Even if for their assholery. The main problem is one of Indian society being too suicidal imbecilic to address the real issues together before squabbling over which caste, race, or color or language is superior and mustn't defer to the others come hell or highwater.

Actor Paul Sorvino Dies At 83
[News9] Paul Sorvino, an imposing actor who specialized in playing crooks and cops like Paulie Cicero in “Goodfellas” and the NYPD sergeant Phil Cerretta on “Law & Order,” has died. He was 83.

His publicist Roger Neal said he died Monday morning in Indiana of natural causes.

“Our hearts are broken, there will never be another Paul Sorvino, he was the love of my life, and one of the greatest performers to ever grace the screen and stage,” his wife, Dee Dee Sorvino, said in a statement.

In his over 50 years in the entertainment business, Sorvino was a mainstay in films and television, playing an Italian American communist in Warren Beatty’s “Reds,” Henry Kissinger in Oliver Stone’s “Nixon” and mob boss Eddie Valentine in “The Rocketeer.” He would often say that while he might be best known for playing gangsters, his real passions were poetry, painting and opera.

Born in Brooklyn in 1939 to a mother who taught piano and father who was a foreman in a robe factory, Sorvino was musically inclined from a young age and attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York where he fell for the theater. He made his Broadway debut in 1964 in “Bajour” and his film debut in Carl Reiner’s “Where’s Poppa?” in 1970.

-Land of the Free
Dershowitz says blatantly unconstitutional Bannon conviction "VERY likely" to be overturned
[Right Scoop] "Entirely predictable and entirely in violation of the Constitution." That’s how legendary attorney Alan Dershowitz described the conviction yesterday of Steve Bannon in a D.C. show trial as part of the January 6 theater being put on by the Democrats in control of our government.

"The only provision of the Constitution which appears basically twice is trial by jury, in and in front of a fair jury," said Dersh to Greta van Susteren on Newsmax. "Number one, he’s not — he didn’t have a jury. Number two, the judge took his defenses away from them. The judge denied him a jury trial. They wouldn’t allow him to put it on evidence that he believed that there was an executive privilege involved and he wanted a judicial determination before he violated the executive privilege. That issue could not be presented to the jury."

"So as I predicted on this show, on other shows before, the conviction was a foregone conclusion. The only issue is will it be reversed by appeal, either by the appellate court in the District of Columbia or by the Supreme Court?" he said. "I think it’s very likely that this conviction will be reversed at some point."

And he goes on to discuss the bias of the venue, the jury pool, the city of D.C. in general, and what the judge did wrong specifically.

Iran Needs Russia to Win in the Ukraine
[Barrons] Tehran cannot afford for Putin to lose in Ukraine.

Over the past two centuries, Russia has often gotten the better of Iran. The tsars took territory from Persia. Both the tsars and the Soviets occupied parts of Iran at times. The Soviets promoted secession in northwestern Iran, and Moscow supported Iraq during the brutal Iran-Iraq War of 1980-88...

[Notwithstanding this history]

If Russia were weakened as a result either of defeat in Ukraine or a prolonged stalemate, it would likely no longer be able to remain as strongly involved in Syria as it has been since it began intervening in 2015. Without Russian air support, Iranian and Hezbollah forces would have a much more difficult time dealing with the internal opponents to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The prospect of Russia leaving might well revitalize those opponents. Iran and its allies might also face difficulties dealing with a Turkey that is only likely to become more assertive in Syria if Russia becomes less so.

Russian troops tried to reach the border of Luhansk region, but withdrew - Gaidai
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Vesti] The Russians are attacking from several directions at once.

The troops of the Russian Federation tried to reach the border of the Lugansk region from three sides and retreated everywhere. This was announced by the head of the OVA Sergei Gaidai.

"The occupiers do not abandon their intentions to develop an offensive against the large cities of Donbass, but so far they have "frozen" in our region. They are dying without seeing the neighboring region," he said.

They attack in several directions at once: Verkhnekamenka - Verkhnekamenskoye, Belogorovka - Verkhnekamenskoye and Verkhnekamenka - Ivano-Daryevka in the Donetsk region.

"In all these areas, the Russians not only did not advance, but also missed the fighters who forever remained in the Ukrainian land," Gaidai emphasized.

Over the past 24 hours, the military of the Russian Federation fired three rockets at the settlements of the region, carried out three massive artillery attacks, and two long-term mortar attacks. Three more times the Russians tried to develop a tank offensive.

According to Gaidai, the land around the settlements that the Russians are shooting at resembles a planet with numerous craters, because shells hit it almost every minute.

Earlier, Gaidai said that the Russians in the uncontrolled territories needed a referendum as soon as possible to conduct mobilization .

Dallas airport accused shooter has lengthy criminal record, claimed to be Chris Brown's wife, 'God's prophet'

[Fox via MSN] The accused female shooter at Dallas Love Field Airport has a lengthy criminal record and had previously told police that she was "God’s prophet" and was married to R&B singer-songwriter Chris Brown.

Over the past several years, 37-year-old Portia Odufuwa has faced charges including arson, robbery, criminal trespass and false reporting in cities across North Texas.

But in many of those incidents, judges deemed her incompetent to stand trial, she was referred to either or both inpatient or outpatient mental health services, and the cases were dismissed, The Dallas Morning News has reported. And as recently as last summer, a Dallas County judge ruled she was not a danger to others.

Before she allegedly changed clothes in the airport bathroom, pulled out a gun near a ticketing counter and opened fire into the ceiling at about 11 a.m. Monday, court records show Odufuwa had allegedly pulled a gun on a hotel front desk clerk in April 2021 at a time when she was homeless.

The woman provided the address of rapper Chris Brown’s mansion to police after the incident, but Dallas County Judge Kristin Wade dismissed the false report case by November even though Odufuwa "did not successfully complete the program" when deemed incompetent to stand trial, according to county court records reviewed by the newspaper. She was supposed to continue mental health services elsewhere.

Wikipedia on Jan Marsalek
Jan Marsalek (also Maršálek, born 15 March 1980 in Vienna) is an Austrian alleged white-collar criminal and former manager, known for his position as board member and chief operating officer of the German payment processing firm Wirecard. He has been a fugitive since June 2020 because of his role in the Wirecard scandal.

Marsalek is considered one of the main culprits in the Wirecard accounting scandal. The Financial Times reported that Marsalek is a person of interest for a number of European governments due to his alleged links to Russian intelligence. Investigation by Bellingcat, Der Spiegel, and The Insider indicated that Marsalek flew to Minsk hours after he was fired. On 19 July 2020, the German Handelsblatt reported that Marsalek was suspected to be in Russia, where he was believed to live under supervision of GRU in a mansion near Moscow.

According to Russian media, Marsalek could have been long-time asset of GRU, recruited at end of the 1990s through the Austrian-Russian Friendship Society. Among his friends were GRU colonel Andrey Chuprygin, Stanislav Petlinskiy, former officer to the Presidential Administration in Russia, as well as Rami al-Obeidi, former chief of Libyan intelligence. Marsalek boasted about trips he made to Palmyra as a "guest of the Russian military" and helped set up the presence of Wagner Group in Libya.

In August 2020, Interpol issued a Red notice for Marsalek, which is a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and arrest him, pending extradition.

Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: July 25th, 2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] 22:29 Viktor Orban again made a number of scandalous statements regarding Ukraine and the war with Russia. Budapest, which continues to maintain relations with Moscow and refuse to provide military assistance to Ukraine, is calling for the lifting of sanctions against Russia. Moreover, the Hungarian Foreign Minister even made a visit to the Kremlin, thereby breaking the diplomatic blockade of the occupying country. About why Hungary has become more active in the issue of war right now - in the material of Orban's Thoughts or Putin's?

21:53 The GTS operator of Ukraine has recorded a sharp increase in pressure on the main gas pipeline Urengoy - Pomary - Uzhgorod on the state border of the Russian Federation-Ukraine without warning from Gazprom. OGTSU insists that the operator of the Russian GTS must provide information on the reasons for such behavior within the framework of the standards of agreements between operators, otherwise it carries potential risks for the normal operation of the Ukrainian GTS.

Such a step looks especially dangerous for Europe after Gazprom again reduced transit through the Nord Stream. In 2009, under similar circumstances of uncoordinated actions between operators, an accident occurred on the gas pipeline of Turkmenistan.

21:47 Zelensky said in an evening video message that Russia has again resorted to the gas blackmail of Europe, which only intensifies every month: "And this can really be seen as an incentive for the eighth EU sanctions package to be much more significant than the recently approved seventh."

21:35 Zelensky spoke about important personnel changes in an evening video message. Thus, the head of the GUR, Kirill Budanov, will head the Intelligence Committee under the President of Ukraine; combat general Viktor Khorenko was appointed the new commander of the SOF; and the former head of the SSO, General Grigory Galagan, was appointed first deputy head of the Special Operations Center "A" of the SBU "in order to update the Security Service of Ukraine."

21:27 New heavy weapons from Western partners have arrived in Ukraine, including Polish modern Twardy tanks, German Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled guns and British Stormer HVM anti-aircraft missile systems, which became known over the past day. Some of them are already at the front. For more details, see the article New weapons in the Armed Forces of Ukraine .

20:48 Kazakhstan decided to strengthen its army, fearing a war with Russia, writes WSJ. Thus, the country decided to increase the defense budget by 441 billion tenge (about $918 million), and also rethinks the position of Russia in its foreign policy and establishes contacts with countries such as the United States, Turkey and China. Fear of Russian ambitions is growing, a senior official said: "Imagine if they didn't have Ukraine to insult. Will we be next?"

20:33 Through sea corridors from three ports of the Odessa region, Ukraine plans to export 3 million tons of agricultural products monthly, Alla Stoyanova, director of the Agrarian Policy Department of the OVA, told Suspіlny. According to her, we are talking about the ports of Odessa, Chernomorsk and Yuzhny. The first two will be launched this week, and another one will be added next week. Stoyanova recalled that in peacetime, about 5 million tons of grain were exported from the waters of these ports every month. Alternative routes (by rail, trucks and through the Danube Delta) managed to export 2.2 million tons of grain in June.

20:22 New HIMARS MLRS, Phoenix Ghost drones and ammunition are already being sent to Ukraine, the Pentagon reported. This aid package was signed on 22 July.

20:10 Guatemala will join the initiative to create an international tribunal for the Russian Federation, and will also promote Ukraine's security issues in the UN, the presidents of the two countries said at a joint briefing following the meeting in Kiev. An intergovernmental agreement on the mutual abolition of visa requirements was also signed and a trade and economic dialogue was launched to implement specific projects without intermediaries.

20:07 An international expert conference on the restoration of Ukraine is to be held in Germany this fall, Shmyhal said. According to him, the convening of the conference was announced by Scholz following the results of the G7 summit. The European Commission has also expressed its willingness to join.

20:05 As a result of the fall of the wreckage of an enemy UAV in the village. Dubovoe in Volyn suffered two adults and three children, said the head of the OVA Yuriy Pogulyaiko. According to him, all of them were hospitalized, now two adults remain in the medical facility.

19:53 Ukraine, for its part, will do everything necessary to ensure the export of agricultural products from its Black Sea ports, and the issue of the safety of ships from different countries depends on the UN and Turkey, which agreed with the Russian Federation on this matter, Zelensky said at a briefing.

19:22 In the Kharkiv direction, the Russians suffered significant losses, however, at the Uglegorsk TPP, individual enemy units are partially successful, the General Staff said in an evening summary .

18:56 Zelensky replaced the commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine : instead of Hryhoriy Galagan, he became Viktor Khorenko. The relevant decrees are published on the website of the head of state. Major General Grigory Galagan was appointed commander of the MTR on August 25, 2020. He was awarded a medal for military service in Ukraine, as well as orders for courage III degree and Bogdan Khmelnitsky III degree.

18:27 Russian occupiers in Kherson forced local public utilities to patch up the Antonovskiy bridge, OVA reported: "The occupiers are trying to patch up the Antonovskiy and the bridge near the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, which were damaged by precise strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Road specialists refused to repair the bridges, so the occupiers forced ordinary workers of the KP to do it ".

18:17 For negotiating the "Kharkiv agreements" in favor of Russia, law enforcement officers reported suspicion of treason to two former members of the government - ex-Foreign Minister Konstantin Grishchenko and ex-head of the Ministry of Justice Alexander Lavrinovich, the Prosecutor General's Office said. According to operational information, the defendants are abroad, so the suspicions were announced in absentia.

17:55 President of Guatemala Alejandro Giammattei has arrived in Kyiv. This is the first visit of a leader from Latin America to Ukraine not only since February 24, but also over the past 12 years. Zelensky said that the parties would hold "important talks on the development of bilateral relations between our countries."

17:51 Slovakia is ready to discuss the possibility of transferring 11 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine, Defense Minister Yaroslav Nagy said. At the same time, he clarified that Slovakia cannot provide aircraft free of charge. According to the minister, each MiG-29 costs about 35 million euros. The fighters are due to be decommissioned at the end of August. Instead, the Czech Republic and Poland will patrol the airspace until Bratislava receives American aircraft.

"Immediately, when we land them, and the Czechs and Poles take over the protection of the airspace, we will be able to discuss the future of the MiG-29 ... We are open to discussing the transfer of them to Ukraine, but, of course, this will require, I would say, a wider discussion taking into account the financial aspects and all others, so the decision has not yet been made," Nagy said at a joint press conference with British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace.

17:46 Today, on the highway between Melitopol and Berdyansk, the Russian military KAMAZ ran over a car with three people - two adults and a child died on the spot, Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov said.

17:43 The UN Security Council will meet for a meeting on Ukraine on July 29, according to the supplemented work program of the Security Council for the current month. It is planned to discuss the implementation of the agreements reached on July 22 in Istanbul on the export of Ukrainian grain.

17:38 Gazprom announced that it is stopping another Siemens turbine at the Portovaya station, from tomorrow, deliveries via Nord Stream will not exceed 33 million cubic meters per day (against the current maximum of 67 million cubic meters). The turbine was stopped "due to the end of the time between overhauls before overhaul."

Earlier today, Gazprom said that it received from Siemens the documents submitted by the Canadian authorities, but they "do not remove the previously identified risks and raise additional questions." Also, there are still questions about EU and British sanctions, the solution of which is important for the delivery of the engine to Russia and the urgent overhaul of other gas turbine engines for the Portovaya station. Gazprom again asked Siemens for immediate support in providing the necessary documents and clarifications to resolve the remaining issues.

17:25 The European Investment Bank, with EU budgetary support, has approved 1.59 billion euros of financing for Ukraine, of which 1 billion will be provided immediately. This will help restore infrastructure, resume services and support future energy, transport and education projects, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said.

17:19 The Russian invaders violated the grain agreements the day after the signing of the agreement in Istanbul. The media write that the UN will still continue to rely on the "kindness of the heart" of the Kremlin ruler. Korrespondent.net collected the reaction of the international press. More details - in the material Putin cannot be trusted .

16:51 Occupiers in Melitopol threaten to blow up the infrastructure of the city if the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberate it, Mayor Ivan Fedorov said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine: "They say: if we leave the city, everything will be mined, everything will be destroyed. And this is definitely not about security the security of our infrastructure."

16:29 The Istanbul agreement provides that not only agricultural products, but also fertilizers will be transported to and from Ukraine. At the same time, Kyiv is counting on both the export and import of fertilizers, Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov said at a briefing: “The agreement covers everything related to agricultural products, and everything that is necessary for agricultural products, including fertilizers. Now I cannot say which it is fertilizers that will be imported into or from Ukraine when the ports start working."

Kubrakov also stressed that the export of Ukrainian grain by sea could be stopped in case of threats.

16:08 The Zakhid Air Command clarified that the UAVs shot down in the Volyn region crossed the airspace of Ukraine from Belarus and carried out aerial reconnaissance of objects.

16:06 Ukraine will receive anti-radar missiles from partners, which the Armed Forces did not have before, Reznikov said on the air of the telethon: "This will allow us to effectively destroy their radar system, blind, in fact, the enemy, which will then allow us to gain an advantage for the counteroffensive."

16:02 Leading investigator of the Bellingcat group Hristo Grozev told LIGA.net that about 120 officers from the fifth service of the FSB and up to 40 from the GRU worked against Ukraine, but their forecasts turned out to be an illusion, and the special services are losing Putin's trust. According to him, in total, the FSB recruited about a thousand agents in Ukraine , while the GRU developed a parallel network of agents, which numbered up to 300 people.

15:57 Lavrov said that Russia, within the framework of the grain deal, "did not assume obligations that would prevent the continuation of a special military operation and the destruction of Ukraine's military infrastructure."

15:40 NATO will provide Ukraine with hundreds of man-portable complexes to counter drones, Stoltenberg said in an interview with Kurir: "A comprehensive assistance package will be provided, including communications equipment, fuel, medicines, protective vests, equipment to protect against mines, chemical and biological threats, and as well as hundreds of man-portable anti-aircraft systems."

15:28 Reznikov hopes that after the additional equipment of the airfields, Ukraine will be able to receive the F-16: "We have a chance that our pilots will begin to master the already modern generation of aircraft. And what kind of aircraft will they be ... Everyone dreams of the F-16, I would I also dreamed about them, but something will have to be done with the airfields. Therefore, I think that we will be able to receive aircraft of this class."

15:24 In the Volyn region, air defense shot down two enemy UAVs today. According to the head of the OVA Yuriy Pogulyaiko, the wreckage of one of them damaged private houses. One person died, several wounded are in the hospital.

15:20 Ukraine is preparing to resume grain exports via the Black Sea this week , Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov said. According to him, internal technical documents of the coordination center will be developed in Istanbul within the next two days, and it is expected that from July 27 it will start working.

15:16 In Vasilyevka, Zaporozhye region, the Russians blocked more than 5,000 people, five of them died in line, said Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov. According to him, the Russians let 20 to 150 cars a day pass - that's about 500 people, but they want to leave much more, and the queue in Vasilyevka is growing every day.

The Zaporizhia OVA appealed to both the Red Cross and the UN. At the end of last week, they asked the Russian Defense Ministry to organize an evacuation corridor, but the Russians replied that they had not found those in Melitopol who wanted to go to the territory controlled by Ukraine.

15:11 Zelensky signed a law adopted by the Rada in June, exempting military personnel from paying military dues.

14:39 In Kharkiv, there will be concrete stops that will serve as shelters for people waiting for transport, Mayor Igor Terekhov said: "It will be a small concrete room so that people can safely be at these stops." At the initial stage, 25 stops will be re-equipped.

14:36 Subpoenas are given to men of military age in order to verify documentation, there are no problems with mobilization in Ukraine, Reznikov said on the air of the telethon: "If mobilization occurs today, it is in certain special specialties. For example, there are training programs for our soldiers in the UK. They are ready to train ten thousand, and already several battalions are being trained there. For such trips, additional specialists can be sought, preferably with knowledge of English."

"When a summons is served, it's not about mobilization, it's about the fact that some people have moved and are not registered. Therefore, serving summons for men of military age means that they must come to the local recruiting center, show the document and check. This first of all, restoring order," the minister explained.

14:28 The demining of the Black Sea will take place exclusively in the corridor that is necessary for the export of grain, Infrastructure Minister Alexander Kubrakov said: "We will do this as carefully as possible, all caravans will be accompanied by our rescue ships, which will go first. But this is very difficult process." The Minister added that it is fundamentally important for Ukraine to receive foreign exchange earnings from the opening of ports, and this is at least $1 billion per month.

14:26 The Moldovan authorities fear a possible Russian invasion, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa admitted: "This is a risk, this is still a hypothetical scenario, but if hostilities move further to the southwestern part of Ukraine and towards Odessa, then, of course, we are very worried."

According to the Prime Minister of Moldova, her country is not the only one that has reason to be concerned about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. She believes that this is a threat to any small country that respects international law, unlike Russia.

14:15 Reznikov spoke out against the service of subpoenas for offenses: "I categorically reject the idea when, for example, a traffic accident or other violation gives you a subpoena. This is absolutely wrong. This is discrediting [the army], and this should not be."

14:13 Minister of the Interior and Minister of Social Affairs of Germany Nancy Feser and Hubertus Heil arrived on a visit to Ukraine, reports Der Spiegel.

14:11 Ukrainian forces destroyed 50 Russian ammunition depots with the help of HIMARS, Reznikov said on the air of the telethon: "This cuts off their logistical chains and deprives them of the opportunity to conduct active hostilities and cover our armed forces with heavy artillery shelling."

13:55 Ukrainian defenders in the south control the roads that are the most important for the enemy, so the occupiers cannot move and maneuver freely, create new strike groups, said Natalya Gumenyuk, head of the joint press center of the Southern Defense Forces. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....

US Lawmakers Call For Military Advisors To Ukraine!
[RonPaul Liberty Report] A bipartisan group from the US Congress on a junket to Kiev have called for the Biden Administration to begin sending US military "advisors" to Ukraine. Not to the frontline (right away) they say. What could go wrong? Also today: Hungary's Orban delivers a blistering speech on Europe's failed Ukraine policy. And...in North Carolina the whole police force quits. You'll never believe why.

#11  Impeaching does no good at this point. First of all, only the party that has 50% + 1 seats in the House can initiate it — the Democrats at this point — and only with a 2/3rds majority in the Senate can there be conviction. This was the Democrats’ error both times they impeached President Trump to no avail... but presumably they assumed he would resign from the embarrassment of the thing, which showed they definitely did not understand their man.

I haven’t heard anything to suggest that the Republicans will win enough seats in the Senate to get a 2/3rds majority, either in November or in 2024. Have I missed any new developments?

#12  TW, what I think you may have not considered is how many demokrats would love to dump him right now.
Consider that every demokrat that voted against impeachment of Biden would be facing the wrath of the 80% of all Americans who think we are headed in the wrong direction. Aside from the MSM propaganda, there is palpable unhappiness with the Puppet Show across the not very fruited plains right now.

Africa North
Mali: Al-Qaeda affiliate claims deadly attack
More yet on this story.
[North Africa Post] An armed group in Mali affiliated with al-Qaeda has claimed responsibility for a deadly attack on the country’s main Kati military base near the capital city Bamako, which it said was a response to governmental collaboration with Russian mercenaries.

Friday’s (22 July) raid on the Kati base that killed at least one soldier and wounded six others, was the first time in Mali’s decade-long rebellion that an armed group has hit a military camp so close to Bamako. The attack, which was carried out using two car bombs, saw seven assailants killed and eight were arrested, Mali’s military said.

The Katiba Macina claimed the attack in the strategic garrison town near the Malian capital, according to the SITE Intelligence Group, according to the media unit for al-Qaeda’s local affiliate, Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimeen (JNIM). JNIM, the main armed alliance in the Sahel region whose influence on the ground continues to expand, comprises a myriad of groups including the Katiba Macina and operates mainly in Mali and Burkina Faso.

Katiba Macina justified the attack by citing the presence in Mali of mercenaries from Russia’s Wagner Group,
...note that it’s the Russians this time, not America...
which began supplying hundreds of fighters last year to support the Malian military and has since been accused by human rights groups and locals of participating in massacres of civilians. The Russian government has acknowledged Wagner personnel are in Mali, but the Malian government has described them as instructors from the Russian military rather than private security contractors. Wagner has no public representation and has not commented on the accusations of human rights violations.

A spat with France triggered a pullout of French forces that have been fighting rebels in Mali for nearly a decade. The withdrawal is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.

Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[LB] The personnel of the occupiers is demoralized.

by Iryna Gamalii

The Russian command in some directions is throwing manpower into the attack without being covered by armored vehicles. This is how officers keep their equipment in working order and try to take revenge on their subordinates for deliberately disabling weapons.

This was announced on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the evening of the 152nd day of the heroic resistance of Ukrainians to the Russian military invasion.

This practice of sabotage is widespread among the rank-and-file of the occupiers in order not to participate in combat clashes with Ukrainian soldiers.

On the Volyn and Poliske directions , the situation remains without significant changes. The units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to perform the specified tasks of strengthening security in the border areas of the Brest and Gomel regions, and are also involved in combat training activities at military training grounds.

In the Siver region , in order to demonstrate the presence and constrain the actions of our troops, the enemy continues to hold separate units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation in the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions. The enemy shelled the areas of Mykhalchyna, Sloboda, Chernihiv Oblast, as well as Pisky, Ryasne, and Bilopylla, Sumy Oblast, with barrel and jet artillery.

In the Kharkiv direction , the enemy is carrying out fire damage from tanks, barrel and rocket artillery in the vicinity of Kharkiv, Udiv, Verkhnyi Saltov, Malynyvka, Borshcheva and many other settlements. Airstrikes near Prudyanka and Petrivka. As a result of fighting in the direction of Tsupivka - Dementiivka, Ukrainian soldiers inflicted significant losses on the occupiers.

In the Slavyansk direction , shelling was recorded in the areas of the settlements of Nortsivka, Bogorodichne, Petrivske, Adamivka, Privillia, Barvinkovo, Kostyantynivka, Nova Dmytrivka, Dolyna, Nova Mykolaivka, Karnaukhivka, Dibrovne, Chepil, Hrushuvaha, Mazanivka. The enemy launched an air strike near Yavirsky. The invaders are trying to replenish the losses in manpower and equipment.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Kryvya Luka, Platonivka, Zakitny, Siversk, Verkhnyokamyansky, Zvanivka, Hryhorivka, Ivano-Daryivka, and Spirny with barrel and jet artillery. Used aviation near Hryhorivka and Serebryanka. Made an attempt to advance near Spirnyi and Ivano-Daryivka. Received a strong rebuff and left.

In the Bakhmut direction, enemy shelling was recorded in the areas of New York, Novoluhanske, Kodema, Berestov, Belogorivka, Ivanovske, Soledar, Mayorsk, Bakhmutske, Pokrovske, Yakovlivka, Kurdyumivka, Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna, Zaytseve, Travneve settlements. The enemy carried out airstrikes near Soledar, Pokrovsky, New York and on the territory of the Vugleghirskaya TPP. He led assault operations in the directions Klynove - Pokrovske and Volodymyrivka - Pokrovske, suffered losses and withdrew. In the area of the Vuglehirskaya TPP, individual units of the enemy have partial success.

No active actions by the enemy were noted in the Avdiyiv, Novopavliv, and Zaporizhzhya directions . The occupiers conducted aerial reconnaissance by BpLA. Airstrikes were carried out in the areas of Kamyana, Shevchenko, Vesele and Poltavka settlements.

In the South Buzka direction , mutual shelling from barrel, rocket artillery and tanks continues along the contact line. An airstrike was recorded near Olgany. The enemy pays considerable attention to aerial reconnaissance by UAVs.

According to available information, there are two Kalibr sea-based cruise missile carriers outside the base points.

It will be recalled that the Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed the Russian Ka-52 "Alligator" helicopter with the help of the "Igla" portable anti-aircraft missile system.

Monkey attacks leave 42 people injured in Japanese city: Adults and children are bitten and scratched in their homes
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Japanese macaques are seen commonly across large parts of the country

  • But officials said the spate of attacks in Japan's Yamaguchi city was unusual

  • Adults and children have suffered wounds including scratches and bites

  • Officials - who are deploying tranquiliser guns - aren't even sure whether the attacks are the work of multiple monkeys or a single aggressive individual

#7  I once fought off a posse of these bastards while my dog tore out the innards of one he'd caught. I was sixteen or so. The whole neighbourhood just stood and watched like idiots. The things would swoop in and nip and swipe at us and I had just a cane staff to hit them with. At the end of it we both had multiple lacerations, there was blood everywhere, ours, the monkeys... all running together.

Killing a monkey in India is like, 'oh noze! You done gone killed god Hanuman!' And some activist type did shout something about 'now we must kill the dog too!'

Drenched in blood I gave them a look and they shut up.

Macaques are really scary to fight. It was like Aliens or Starship Troopers there for a while. They only retreated when they saw they couldn't help their guy anymore and he lay severed at the waist.

They're afraid of lemurs, or other higher order monkeys for some reason. So some communities keep their own trained lemurs to ward them off. I don't know how this works.

Special purpose artillerymen: how Russian special forces hunt NATO howitzers
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Most commentary by Russian military correspondent Aleksandr Kots

Military correspondent "KP" Alexander Kots reports that the front has leveled off, bringing the special operation closer to the general battle for Donbass

by Alexander Kots

- Get the coordinates! - the radio clicks.

- Ready to accept, - replies the commando with camouflage pants tucked up in the manner of shorts.

In the steppe - 40 degrees in the shade. If you find it. But this does not negate the armor and helmet. A red-hot haze hangs in the air mixed with black smoke - either from burning warehouses that were hit by the American Hymars, or from flaming wheat fields, which Ukrainians with some maniacal enthusiasm throw incendiary ammunition. With one hand they scribble angry notes about the grain blockade, with the other they destroy the grain harvest in the Donbass.

The work of secret units that calculate Western weapons in Ukraine
Military correspondent "KP" Alexander Kots showed how the allied forces of the LPR and Russia calculate the American howitzers "M-777"

The officer writes something in a notebook with a pencil and gives sharp commands to the howitzer crew. Two people set the required parameters.

- Ready!

- Fire!

The 152-mm gun "Hyacinth-B" Tsar-bell hits the eardrums, spitting out a high-explosive fragmentation projectile towards Soledar ...

The main battles in Donbas last week unfolded along the Seversk-Artemovsk line, to which Ukrainian troops retreated after fleeing from Svitlodarsk, Severodonetsk and Lysichansk. The front leveled off bringing the special military operation closer to the general battle for the Donbass.

Today Kyiv understands perfectly well that sooner or later this line will be broken - cities are too dependent on communication between each other. And the supply lines between them are about to be cut. And then the Russian troops will come close to the Slavic-Kramatorsk agglomeration, where the main battle of this stage of the NMD will begin.

So the Ukrainian command is trying to gain time in order to prepare the eastern borders along the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk-Druzhkovka-Konstantinovka-Avdeevka axis. While there is an opportunity, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have transferred up to 500 people and about 50 pieces of artillery, including NATO artillery, from Seversk to Soledar. Which is now being hunted by the elite of the Russian special forces, together with the Luhansk artillerymen. From the first - aerial reconnaissance from a drone, accurate coordinates and adjustments, from the second - a weapon from which almost sniper fire is fired, and competent calculation.

Special forces say that there are good days when two American M777 howitzers are destroyed, but we have to get out, pulling our gun almost to the front line, as now. To level the difference in firing range and increase accuracy. There is a risk of running into counter-battery fire. Therefore, the gun does not linger at one point for a long time.

While the drone searches for a new target, the special forces show on tablets what the Ministry of Defense press releases call objective control.

- Here are three tanks - destroyed at a distance of 21,500 meters, here is a column of cars - instead of rushing off into the horizon after the first explosion, for some reason she decided to hide in a forest belt, deciding that we did not see her. Do you know how far the hood of a car can fly off when detonated? See for yourself - a white hood flies over a forest plantation and plans for 600 meters from the explosion site. “Those same “three axes” (as the troops called the M777 howitzer) are already on fire.

- The goal is two pickups and a minibus, take the coordinates, - the radio comes to life again.

"They transferred all the logistics and the supply of ammunition to civilian vehicles a long time ago, so it’s not surprising that they also fall under fire," the commando explains.

- Fire!

- There is a fire, you can add, - the radio wheezes.

Several more shells are sent along the coordinates.

“The target was hit, something caught fire in the woods nearby,” the drone operator confirms over the link.

Artillery has become, perhaps, the main and decisive factor in this conflict. And, despite its numerical superiority among the allied forces, the enemy continues to snarl, including precision-guided munitions, aiming them at ammunition depots and headquarters. Russian air defense is capable of intercepting such ammunition, which it demonstrates on a daily basis.

But Kyiv switched to the tactics of massive shelling. When one "package" goes first "Hurricane", then "Point U", and then - rockets "Hymars". And the whole question is whether the air defense forces have enough opportunities to repel everything flying without reloading.

Unfortunately, not always. Moreover, air defense is powerless in front of cannon artillery, which, for example, cover Donetsk around the clock. In the past week alone, American missiles destroyed a food warehouse in Stakhanov, a trolleybus depot in Alchevsk, brewery in Perevalsk. And in Kyiv, already in the framework of negotiations on the supply of missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometers, they are aiming at the Crimean bridge ...

“Let’s roll up,” commanded a commando officer. And the entire calculation quickly leaves the position until it is covered by enemy artillery.

On the way, I stop by an old friend - the commander of a cannon division with the call sign "Tobol". The last time we saw each other was in May, when he was standing near Rubizhne. Now, with his artillery, he ensures the advance of the troops in the most difficult direction - Artemovsky and Soledarsky.

What has changed in these two months?

“Resistance has dropped noticeably,” says a young LNR lieutenant colonel. - It is, but not as desperate as in Severodonetsk or Popasnaya. They use urban buildings, and that, of course, is sad. People will need to go back somewhere. Not everyone can be explained that it was not the troops of the Russian Federation or the LPR who used the housing stock as firing points. Well, the enemy began to use NATO weapons. Quite unpleasant, but we have established a fight with them.

- Last time you and I only dreamed that sooner or later the republic would be liberated. Today you are helping your neighbors...

- None of the fighters perceived the further advancement as helping some other republic, a neighboring state. This is Russian land, and we are marching within the framework of the NMD, fulfilling the requirements that the command has presented to us.

- That is, there is no desire to lie on the stove and rest on the laurels of a winner on a republican scale?

- Of course not. War to the end. Here the flag of the Russian Federation will be hoisted over Kyiv, then it will be possible to take a vacation for 10 days. And then - as the commander will determine.

Luhansk army captured an American howitzer
In a huge concrete hangar of a glass factory, which is on the way from Lisichansk to Seversk, it flew right into the roof, breaking the floors and bringing down tons of concrete on an American armored tractor with a howitzer standing inside.

The calculation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was discovered by aerial reconnaissance at the positions from which Ukrainian artillerymen fired at Rubizhne and Severodonetsk. It was decided to trace the route of the M777, which brought our weapons to this hangar.

155mm shells scattered right there. Nearby are two civilian trucks, on which the Ukrainians brought ammunition. But the trophy team of "Ganych" took out the gun itself for study by Russian specialists.

"Recently, when the enemy has time to prepare a retreat, he always leaves some surprises," Genych reveals the features of the work of the trophy team.

- You climb into the trench - four NLAWs, three are leaning against the parapet, one is carelessly lying around. You pull each cat slowly, and the one that was lying raises the entire dugout into the air. Stretch marks are now placed at the level of the knees, and the wire is pulled with an asterisk - you won’t pass by. Very similar to what the terrorists did in Syria. And at every position, literature is necessarily lying about the sabotage case.

Almost all Ukrainian equipment that was shown last week in Lisichansk is the result of the work of the Genych trophy team, consisting of three people. Although, of course, not everything found was put on public display.

- There are mountains of all kinds of anti-tank missile systems, "Stingers" - also a million. Moreover, as it turned out, a beacon works in them, giving out their location, - the trophies say. But you know what's interesting. They now even have Western ammunition for Soviet types of weapons. Be it a Grad, a 120mm mortar or a D-30 cannon. All shells are with foreign markings. Have you run out of yours?

The M777 howitzer is covered with a camouflage net. This is the first trophy copy, albeit charred. For us, the grid is removed, showing the American gun. According to the military, up to 100 Ukrainian special forces guarded the area waiting for howitzers.

- They really did not want this type of weaponry to go to us as a trophy, and we could study it thoroughly. That is why it was so carefully guarded, - an officer of the Lugansk army corps "Sambo" tells me.

- Although the gun was damaged, the combat information system survived and was transferred for study.

- Local residents say that among the gunners they saw a dark-skinned foreigner who allegedly oversaw the use of the M777 ...

- According to our intelligence, it was an American gunner who took care of the calculation. Training does not take a very long time, but the system is crammed with electronics, all kinds of blocks, it is difficult to master everything in a short time. They taught to shoot, but when servicing, you need a specialist who did this.

All electronic units and combat control systems were handed over to specialists, who now have the opportunity to study NATO weapons in detail.

The Globalist Effort to 'Get Trump' Is Backfiring...Bigly!
[American Thinker] The race is on! The Great Resetters who want an America of servile citizens willing to eat bugs, obey commands, accept fuel rationing, and own nothing have put the pedal to the metal in their nefarious plans to usher in worldwide communism for the masses and perpetual wealth, power, and privilege for the Schwab-Obama-Soros axis of evil (SOS, America, we're in distress!). What had been a slow and long march through the institutions these last hundred years has taken on such urgency today that the communists have scurried out of their usual hiding places in the shadows to prance around before us in broad daylight!

What could have triggered the Marxists to metamorphose from methodical societal saboteurs into outright commie colonizers almost overnight? In a word — Trump. One minute, the America-destroyers were in total control of the Republican and Democrat-ish Parties, and America's Uniparty was in full lockstep, marching mechanically to the globalist order's tyrannical little tune. And the next minute — bam! — Trump came out of nowhere, dashed their certain triumph, and deflated their celebratory balloons (filled with hot air and boasting, "Congratulations on your New World Order"). The global "elite" thought the man descending a golden escalator would be the perfect foil to launch Hillary into the White House with such an electoral landslide that the World Economic Forum's global socialism would get the mandate it needed to subdue America once and for all, and then, to their horror, it turned out that Trump was an America-loving patriot and brawler nobody had seen in the political arena for generations.

The international communists were taking victory laps before the 2016 election, while Donald Trump was busy dipping his wrapped fists in hot resin and broken glass before throwing deadly Dambe blows at both Hillary Clinton and the corrupt D.C. Establishment that has nourished and maintained her. Remember when Trump held a pre-debate press conference with several Clinton survivors who had credibly accused Bill of rape and Hillary of destroying their lives? Up to that point, nobody had dared to tell the truth to the Clintons' faces or dared to challenge the Pravda media's decades-long cover-ups for the Clintons' unhinged lies. When the "outsider" Trump entered the ring, he didn't know he was supposed to take a dive in the second round, after giving the people a few minutes to blow off steam and cheer. He went for the knockout, declaring war on the "enemy of the people" media, the wretchedly wicked Clintons, and the whole filthy, fetid Establishment that gives them power still today. Hoo-boy, someone...finally...was fighting back! He came out swinging and didn't stop until the bruised and bloody Uniparty limped off into a corner. (Lesson learned: Never let the Uniparty limp away!)

There are moments in history that function as gate hinges that swing humanity into the next era. Much will be written in the future about the avalanche of chaos today — the central bankers' inflationary debt bombs, the climate cultists' covert communism, the global health bureaucrats' malevolent use of the Great China Virus to crush individual liberty and drop a pandemic Iron Curtain of surveillance and control around citizens' lives, and the World Economic Forum's Malthusian efforts to Build Back Better totalitarianism on a global scale. The triggering event for all these diabolical plans coming to a head right this moment, however, was when American voters went to the polls in 2016 and said, "No more." When Donald Trump won the presidency, he kicked the gate leading to the next historical era wide open. That shocked the hell out of the calculating resetters patiently conquering the world. They could not allow Americans' unexpected "awakening" to ripple across the world like a MAGA boulder heaved into a globalist pond, and they have been waging deadly smash-mouth political war against those who dare to think for themselves ever since. Nobody said the Trump Era would be a walk in the park, after all. When you open the gate to a playground filled with murderers and tyrants, you've got to watch your six and play for keeps. (That's another bit of education whose lesson has been painfully steep.)

#1  The one reason I want Trump for president in 2024 over DeSantis is the second massive 'FUCK YOU!' to the deep state (formerly known as the hackerama / vast Federal bureaucracy). To me, that particular message is important / paramount to deliver. It's fine to have DeSantis on as VP to set him up for 2028 and beyond), but get Trump in, fire every possible Federal employee in sight, then keep going on all fronts (Euroweenies, ChiComs, NGO's, etc.).

#7  Biden had some popularity in Jan 2021. He is now in the low 30's. He is actually more popular than his VP. The other Dem candidates were terrible. No appreciable portion of the electorate will be interested in doubling down on Socialist/Communist policies after three more years of this suck - Bernie and AOC are not viable. Hillary is unlikable and will be campaigning using a Walmart drive cart by 2024 yet she will run. Trump already is calling the shots in the GOP. His endorsement is a gold ticket, his displeasure will be demonstrated by Cheney. Trump is a lock to run and to win. That is the sole point of the failing J6 committee.

#2  I don't understand the purpose of her visit. Is she checking on a potential stock trade. Do we have Taiwan legislation pending? It looks like a dumb provocation to try to swing electoral politics. Making Americans feel more patriotic is not going to enhance Dem chances. Neither will demonstrating that our military has been hollowed out by wokeness and vaccine mandates.

Marco Rubio escalates Pete Buttigieg feud, says he works for 'Marxist misfits'
[FoxNews] Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., escalated his feud with Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on Sunday, saying Buttigieg is working for the agenda of "Marxist misfits."

Buttiegieg hit out at Rubio early Sunday over the senator's opposition to codifying gay marriage. Rubio fired back in a video on Twitter, mocking the Biden administration official for telling Americans suffering under high gas prices to buy expensive electric cars.

"We have a transportation secretary named Pete Buttigieg who believes that highways can be racist; who believes that $5 gas—which is killing working Americans—is a great thing because that means people are gonna drive less, or because everyone is now gonna go out and buy a $65,000 electric car with a Chinese battery in it," Rubio said.

"I'm gonna focus on the real problems. I'm not gonna focus on the agenda dictated by a bunch of affluent, elite liberals and a bunch of Marxist misfits who sadly today control the agenda of the modern Democratic Party," he added.

Rubio had previously called the push to codify gay marriage in Congress a "stupid waste of time."

Democrats began pushing the bill after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade, causing some within the party to fear that Obergefell v. Hodges, the ruling creating a right to gay marriage, could fall as well.

"I don't think we should be spending time on a non-issue and a non-problem," Rubio said Saturday. "It's as simple as that. I just don't. Not when people are paying $4.66 for gas. Not when inflation and prices for some of the most basic goods and services in our country are crushing middle-class Americans."

"This is just not real. It's a fake problem. I don't vote for fake problems. I don't vote to solve problems that don't exist. It's important for the priorities of the people in Washington to be the priorities of the people that sent us there," he added.

The same-sex marriage bill passed through the House of Representatives last week and now must gain the support of at least 10 Republicans to pass the Senate.

About the Knights of the Winter Campaign
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Miroslava Berdnik (Via Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin)

Rozhin:

During one of the recent attacks on Nikolaev, the brigade commander of the 28th Independent Infantry Brigade was liquidated (destroyed along with a group of other officers at the field command post), which is called the "Knights of the Winter Campaign."

Below is what kind of "knights" they are.

Miroslava Berdnik
About "Knights of the Winter Campaign"

And now about the "Knights" (correctly Knights) of the Winter Campaign, whose name is the brigade of the deceased. These are the same "knights" that are spoken of in the "Decalogue of the Ukrainian Nationalist": "avenge the death of the great knights."

Now about the winter hike. There were two of them in Ukrainian history! The first (December 6, 1919 - May 6, 1920) and the second (November 1921) Both ended tragically and shamefully.

Today, they are called "raids", although the first, under the command of General Omelyanovich-Pavlenko, was a confused ferment along the Right Bank, where the Petliurists terrified the locals until they surrendered to the Poles. The second campaign under the leadership of Yurka Tyutyunnik was intended to initiate the deployment of an insurgent movement in the rear of the Ukrainian SSR.
General Mykhailo Omelianovych-Pavlenko was in command of a Ukrainian nationalist unit which was allied with the Germans during WWII. A Petliurist is anti-Bolshevik, named after Cossack Ataman Petliur . Yurka Tyutyunnik was a Bolshevik turncoat who later commanded Ukrainian nationalist troops, 1919-1921. You can read abut him here (but it's in Ukrainian)
However, the “reamers” were surrounded near Bazar and Malyye Minki by the brigade of G. Kotovsky and exponentially destroyed, the survivors again fled to the Poles.

Tyutyunnik himself, a lieutenant of the Russian Imperial Army, who suddenly became Petliur's general coroner, returned to the Ukrainian SSR and became an active builder of socialism. Having handed over his partners to the Chekists, Tyutyunnik earned the right to teach at the Kharkov School of Red Commanders, where he taught the course "Tactics of partisan and counter-partisan struggle."

Here is an excerpt from his book “With Poles Against Ukraine”: “National heroes” like Petlyura and Levitsky (President of the UNR) traded the lands of the Ukrainian nation, the souls of millions of Ukrainian workers and peasants, traded, hiding like thieves from the eyes of the people and did not ask anyone. They considered themselves called to liberate the Ukrainian people. So they “liberated”, giving Galicia and Volhynia with Kholm region under the rule of the Polish magnate.

Tyutyunnik rose to the position of secretary of the audit commission of the All-Ukrainian State Joint Stock Company of Trade, until he was repressed and shot.

Well, the commander of the first Winter Campaign, General Omelyanovich-Pavlenko, would later become a Nazi collaborator and organizer of the Schutzmannschaft and SS auxiliary police battalions.

Even his own brother Ivan, he arranged to be the commander of the Schutzmannschaft of the battalion, which participated in the extermination of the Jews of Vinnitsa and the region.

14:58 Channel "Older than Edda" about the battle for Kherson:

The upcoming battle for Kherson and wider for our bridgehead on the right bank of the Dnieper promises to be extremely interesting. Unlike other sectors of the front, on this theater we will be able to see all the delights of a highly maneuverable war in the steppe. On the one hand, such military operations are quite simple, on the other hand, they require high coordination and initiative.

In mobile warfare in small groups, tactical success easily turns into operational success. Reliable communications, reconnaissance, the sky, quick maneuver with artillery and armored groups are the key to success. Whoever discovers whom faster, brings in artillery and aircraft, will win in a fleeting battle in the steppe.
AKA: Meeting engagement, part of Soviet land war doctrine since Zhukov
However, there are still doubts whether Kyiv will decide on a large-scale offensive in the south.

On the one hand, it is necessary for the Vushniks to advance precisely in this area, and every day of delay reduces the already illusory chances of success. On the other hand, the offensive is very different from defense, and the required level of operational art, the training of troops and materiel is needed much higher than that currently available to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

An unsuccessful offensive is fraught not only with huge (even by the standards of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) losses, but also with the collapse of the entire front, with the entry of the RF Armed Forces into operational space both in the south and in the Donbass.

13:50 The Ukrainian warrior thought to hide from retribution by entering the concreted entrance to the bunker, but this did not save him. A great example of how efficient quadcopters can be. Several quadcopters are used as shock and drop FOGs, and one quadcopter is monitoring and adjusting. On thevideothe work of the special forces of the DPR army in the Avdiivka area.

FBI whistleblowers reveal widespread effort to DISCREDIT negative information about Hunter Biden
[Right Scoop] Here we go again. Thanks to multiple whistleblowers within the FBI who are said to be ’highly credible’, we now know that the FBI tried to discredit the negative and probably criminal information about Joe’s son Hunter Biden leading up to the election in 2020.
Here’s the report via Catherine Herridge:

Highly credible" whistleblowers have come forward to a senior Senate Republican alleging a widespread effort within the FBI to downplay or discredit negative information about President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, according to letters reviewed by CBS News.

"The information provided to my office involves concerns about the FBI’s receipt and use of derogatory information relating to Hunter Biden, and the FBI’s false portrayal of acquired evidence as disinformation," GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley wrote FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland on July 25. "The volume and consistency of these allegations substantiate their credibility and necessitate this letter."

They should all be required to submit their resignations at the beginning of each new administration. Further, all department heads of all federal departments and agencies should be required to submit a detailed justification for their department's continued existence to Congress and Congress should be required to approve said continued existence by a two-thirds majority vote.

#13  The solution to the impossible Civil Service careerism problem is actually already enshrined in past government practice. Firing a career federal employee is a virtually impossible task, ask anyone who has plumbed the Civil Service Commission Regulatory Waters. They did away with the grades of GS16-18, making them the SES (Senior Exsecutive Service) supposedly a position that can be managed and removed. But below that, its a true ordeal to remove even the most inferior civil servant, God forbid a minority of any stripe. So the GS9-15 managers and staff exercise an enormous amount of policy and implementation power for every aspect of government functioning, making them the bedrock of the woke, Deep State in recent years. They can thwart conservative policies with a myriad of bureaucratic and diversionary tactics, studies, evaluations...etc.

Now, consider if you split away Management authority from rank/pay/benefits. Remember the Army Tech-5 of WWII? Paid as a Sergeant E-5, but having no NCO/command authority! You take a non-performing civil servant GS-13 and you take away management decision making, but no adverse financial or career impact. Hurt feelings, but no discernible adverse effect. You just remove them from the decision tree, not their career. Harder to claim any impact except hurt feelings and perhaps an earned reputation as an obstructionist.
Easier than getting a new civil service system at least.

Question: Is Anti-Fa, BLM or NOW meat healthier.
Because, I understand LGBT-💩 is being recalled.

#9  NOW meat = old and fatty
Teefa meat = stringy, raised using chemicals
BLM meat = just don't taste right.

#11  “I have been assured by a very knowing American of my acquaintance in London, that a young healthy child well nursed, is, at a year old, a most delicious nourishing and wholesome food, whether stewed, roasted, baked, or boiled; and I make no doubt that it will equally serve in a fricassee, or a ragout.” --Jonathon Swift's A Modest Proposal(1729)

Centuries later the Swedish 'Scientist' (scare quotes intentional) comes across as far less witty . Jonathon Swift was satirizing English policies in Ireland while the Professor just sounds daft.

Sarcasm Button On.

SORRY....
It must be FAKE NEWS ☻.

The British Columbia Gun Control " Firearm Violence Prevention Act (FVPA)" does NOT allow this to happen.

PLUS!! BC is even more so safe having banned certain weapons from existence..

Sarcasm Button Off.

#3  You have to be pretty sociopathic to be assassinating people that have nothing.

On the other hand, you would have to be a pretty rough customer to be homeless in BC. That's not Venice Beach.
