Residents Tie Forest Fire Suspect to Tree, Wait for Police
[PJMedia] The U.S. Forest Service began receiving calls about fires in secluded sections of woods in southwest Oregon, including regions accessible only by river or roads owned by the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management.

Witnesses reported seeing a lone man walking along a gravel road starting fires.

Ground and helicopter teams dealt with the fires, and three local residents located a suspect, 30-year-old Trennon Smith of Veneta, Ore.

Smith became combative with the three people, who summarily tied him to a tree to wait for the police. Smith was treated for an injury he allegedly sustained while falling down and then taken to jail. He is being charged with two counts of first-degree arson and one count of reckless burning. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.

A few Twitter peeps began asking if Smith is a member of the non-binary, gender-free street mob, Antifa.

A search of the Facebook profile believed to belong to Smith revealed nothing that would lead one to believe Smith is involved in Antifa.

The quick actions of emergency crews and the local residents stopped what could have been a disaster, according to Sheriff John Ward.

“The cooperation and partnership between all agencies when something like this occurs is remarkable. The quick actions on getting the fires out most certainly averted a catastrophe and saved lives,” Ward announced.

“If the fires had not been contained and if they got out of control, they could have blocked all the residents and visitors from having an escape route,” Ward told AP News.

Video (with sound) Used to Charge J6 Defendant Exonerates Him
[Epoch Times] McAbee was outside the Lower West Terrace tunnel during some of the worst violence on January 6. Several times he tried to render lifesaving aid to a dying Rosanne Boyland, 34, of Kennesaw, Georgia. His interactions with Metropolitan Police Department officers resulted in most of the charges and served as justification for a D.C. judge to jail him until trial.

Sullivan suggested McAbee is a terrorist.
Yes, that Judge Sullivan.

"So it appears clearly to this court that the defendant is pulling the officer back into the crowd of other terrorists," Sullivan said, according to the transcript.

After another hearing on Oct. 13, 2021, Sullivan reversed Frensely’s order and ruled that McAbee should not be released pending trial. Sullivan said he would issue a written ruling, which was released more than two months later on Dec. 21, 2021.

A break in McAbee’s case came when video investigator Gary McBride of Decatur, Texas, studied the bodycam footage shown in court, except with the audio track turned on. It painted a vastly different picture of what took place, McBride told The Epoch Times.

"The prosecutors did not play the audio of AW [Andrew Wyatt] and McAbee talking during this point," McBride said in a video he made about the evidence. "McAbee is trying to save AW. Prosecutors didn’t play that in court."

McBride said his analysis showed McAbee did not pull the officer down the stairs, but was swept backward and lost his balance, due to two protesters pulling on the officer’s legs. McAbee was standing over Wyatt at the time. As a result, McAbee fell on top of Wyatt and was over him for about 25 seconds.

While McAbee was on top of Wyatt, bystanders called him a traitor, ostensibly for helping the officer. When someone in the crowd tried to grab at Wyatt, McAbee shouted, "No!" and "Quit!"

"At that point, my husband just saw an officer down and an officer needing help, because the first thing he says, when he pops in around the tunnel before he gets around the rail is, ’Hey, you guys have a man down,’" Sarah McAbee said. "They literally did nothing to help that guy. So he’s the one who jumped into action."

McBride and Sarah McAbee said the audio track should have been disclosed to the defense as exculpatory evidence.
Hey! I seen dis movie!

If you listen to the audio, he says, ’Hey, I’m one of you. Let me know when you’re ready to get up. I’m going to help you up.’ And they get up together," Sarah McAbee said. "That’s not him assaulting anybody. It’s the same videos, they just wouldn’t play the audio in court, because the audio is so detrimental to their case."

#3  Fracking is nothing new. I once worked for a drilling supply company than sold a downhole rig that had stacked shaped charges to break up the rock formation. There's not a pool of oil down there, it's oil saturated rock.
Hydraulic fracking is relatively recent.

#4  The injection process discussed in the video used to be called 'water flooding.' I new of a plugged well on a lease years ago that came back to life (improperly plugged), from water flooding. Oil began running up the casing and out on the ground. The land owner was very concerned, as cows will stand and drink crude oil until they topple over dead. Site eventually became productive again, thanks to an enterprising driller and a willing bank loan.

Lee Duigon - Remaking God's Creation
[News With Views] Other than their self-evident odiousness, what do these nooze stories have in common?

Crayola Crayons decides to market their product, which is intended mostly for use by children, by hiring a "trans man" as its model. (No, I won’t show the photo; we’re already way too close to needing a barf bag.)

New Orleans takes down a statue of Robert E. Lee and replaces it with a monstrosity depicting a nude woman with a serpent coiled around her body. How can they not know what kind of message they’re sending?

Vice President Kamala Harris sounds the alarm, "Women are getting pregnant every day in America"—as if childbearing were a crisis that has to be "solved" by Congress passing some sweeping new "abortion rights" law for the entire country (which would probably be struck down by the Supreme Court for the same reasons they overturned Roe v. Wade—it’s unconstitutional).

Members of an Australian rugby team object to being forced to wear "Gay Pride"-themed jerseys in an upcoming match. The players were not consulted over this decision by management and some have declared that they won’t play if they have to wear jerseys advertising something that they don’t believe in. Compelled speech, dontcha know.

Michigan Channel 3 News is in hot water for inventing and "reporting" the results of Michigan’s Republican primary election... when the election will not be held until next week. They even invented the voting stats. A week before the election. Why bother to hold it, eh?

I’m especially intrigued by the statue of a naked woman in the coils of a snake. Hasn’t anyone in New Orleans read Genesis? They never heard of Eve and the serpent? Is Eve’s disobedience to God, egged on by the serpent, something that they want to "celebrate"? I don’t see how it could be anything else.

And a kids’ crayon company choosing to "embrace transgender"—why in the world did they do that? Why does a news network concoct a completely false coverage of an election that hasn’t even been held yet? Why make anyone pretend to be for "gay pride," when they find the message morally revolting? And why carry on like the country’s in deep trouble and only widespread abortion can save it?

#3  tw: The statue of Robert E Lee was mounted on a tall column in, not surprisingly, Lee Circle near downtown New Orleans. It was taken down several years ago, and not replaced -- there is just a column with an empty plinth. The article implies that the modern statuary sits on top of the column -- not so. It is off to the side and, as I understand it, temporary. More to the point, the article accuses New Orleanians of being religious primitives unaware of the book of Genesis. While New Orleans certainly has its share of non-believers and its share of downright evil people, on the whole New Orleans is one of the most thoroughly Judeo-Christian cities in the country, as exemplified by the great Touro Synagogue on St. Charles Avenue, and of course St. Louis Cathedral, which is part of the picture postcard view of New Orleans.

#5  I’m especially intrigued by the statue of a naked woman in the coils of a snake.

If I read it right, it wasn't a snake until it was cursed and made to crawl or something. But who cares, it's the principle of the thing.

Kathleen Marquardt - What Part of Agenda 21 Didn' You Get ?
[American Policy Center] Sorry, but we have been telling you for over 30 years that the globalists want to reduce the population by over 90%. I can understand why, for a while, some thought we were crazy. Population reduction was being done quietly through abortion, vaccines to sterilize people in Third World countries, promoting the gay lifestyle that can only bear children through surrogates, and convincing people that bringing a child into this world is a sin.

For years, the Left have bemoaned the burden of overpopulation.

"It’s terrible to have to say this. World population must be stabilized and to do that we must eliminate 350,000 people per day. This is so horrible to contemplate that we shouldn’t even say it. But the general situation in which we are involved is lamentable." Jacques Yves Cousteau

"Either we reduce the world’s population voluntarily or nature will do this for us, but brutally." Maurice Strong

We may get to the point where the only way of saving the world will be for industrial civilization to collapse. Maurice Strong

The world’s population has more than tripled to seven billion since Ted Turner was born 73 years ago. He believes it must be stabilized at near two billion, or "we’re just going to have more and more catastrophes." Ted Turner

"What we need to have for 100 years is a one-child policy ...If everybody voluntarily had one child for 100 years, we’d basically be back to two billon people." Ted Turner

"We may get to the point where the only way of saving the world will be for industrial civilization to collapse." Maurice Strong

The biographer of billionaire investor and donor Warren Buffett describes him as having "a Malthusian dread" of population growth among the poor. In 1964 he set up an Omaha foundation centered on stopping that growth, both domestically and abroad, and to this day, the New York Times summarizes, "most of the foundation’s spending goes to abortion and contraception."

Buffett’s charity, the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, has contributed $1.5 billion to help fund the abortion industry in the U.S., making it the largest financial backer of abortion in the country. Between 2003-2018, Buffett’s foundation donated $565 million in support of "reproductive rights." His first public undertaking came in 1952, when he initiated the convocation of the Conference on Population Problems, in Williamsburg, Va. The discussion took up food supply, industrial development, depletion of natural resources, and political instability resulting from unchecked population growth. The presence of medical doctors, chemists, geologists, economists, and other scientists gave serious weight and prominent attention to the emerging and unrecognized facts of demographic change.

Will we hear the WH Press Sec. finally say the magic word Recession or not?

Question: Will inflation and the devaluation of the US $ be the way that the US Gov. pays off its $30.6 Trillion dollar National Debt? 🤪 Hell if we go hyper inflation we can wipeout the national debt and the DNC in 2 may be 3 years.

eg. 2022 1.00 US Dollar = 558,019.37 Venezuelan Bolívares (VEF)
vs.
1990 1.00 USD = 9.9 Venezuelan Bolívares. The Venezuelan Liberal Solicalist Democratic government created it's own hyperinflation by givining, giving and giving socialism for votes. The exchange rate was 6 million bolívars to the U.S. dollar. At one point. A wheel barrel tire was worth more than the wheel barrel filled with 1,0000 VEF notes.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Battle in the South
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited

Commentary by Russian blogger Donetsk

[DONRF] The battle for the South continues, and this night again brought a series of mutual missile strikes. The enemy damaged the Antonovsky bridge in Kherson, and the disputes about the degree of damage are as stupid as the disputes about the effectiveness of air defense. Let me explain - the bridge can be used or not. If not, there is no big difference whether it is worth it or not. All the same, from a military point of view, it died. This is as obvious as it is obvious that there is no absolute air defense. We can intercept 11 missiles, but one will hit the bridge every day.

Also, according to the enemy, he occupied two settlements in the gray zone of the Kherson region. which requires confirmation. There is little military sense in this anyway, such a push-pull in the breakaway republics lasted for years. The real breakthrough is not empty villages, it is a breakthrough of the front line with access to the operational space. This cannot be achieved so far by both sides.

In response, with the help of the Grad MLRS, targets in Nikopol and Marganets were hit. The shelling of Nikolaev was also carried out. Obviously, the enemy is preparing two shock fists - from the West and North from Kherson, which our artillery counteracts.

Thus the battle for the South continues, albeit in an indecisive manner. The prognosis depends on Ukrainian military's readiness for five-nil losses and the risk of serious injury. According to my feelings, this readiness is low, but:

Returning from Kyiv, Republican Senator Mike Waltz said literally the following: "Zelensky feels that he is slowly losing. The Biden administration is basically helping him pay for the gallows noose."

Western partners demand. So in the coming days, the enemy will do everything in order to hit the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, causing an ecological catastrophe in the region, and pontoon crossings induced by the RF Armed Forces, with a further transition to the offensive on Kherson and / or Melitopol. The rest is in the hands of God and our artillery.

On the Donbass front, there is also activation. The enemy lost the Uglegorsk TPP and Novolugansk. In addition, active work of artillery is underway. Thus, our plan is transparent and understandable - combining with the defense in the South, to continue squeezing out the militants from the territory of the DPR.

And further events will show, there will be no loud announcements this time, at least from our side.

Fighting

[DONRF] In front of you is a petal mine designed to disable enemy personnel. But Ukrainians are not quite people, and therefore, following the example of Izyum, they mined residential buildings in Donetsk with these mines. Based on the death and injury of civilians. Be careful, go around branches, foliage, do not go out on lawns. Ukrainians don't care who lives in Donetsk - we are all "separatists" and must die.

All day yesterday, the militias waged an offensive battle in the area of Peski, Marinka and Krasnogorovka. There is progress, but the occupation of these settlements is still far away. It should be borne in mind that this is the most fortified section of the defense, which was built for eight years, and relies on buildings and has powerful road junctions in the rear. So the fights are there for a long time, there will be no quick successes. But there are no special options for actions by limited forces, some of which are diverted to parry the enemy operation in the South.

Aerospace Forces also worked that night:

1. Kharkiv. Two objects of the Iskander OTRK were hit.

2. Nikolaev - attacks on the locations of militants

3. Vyshgorod, Kiev region - an ammunition depot was hit.

4. Goncharivske Chernihiv region. Ten missiles hit the forest area, where 1 Ukrainian brigades are camouflaged. Their best tank brigade was undergoing restoration and re-equipment after the battles for Chernigov in the spring. I hope that now it will be necessary to repeat the procedure.

The enemy, in turn, tried to launch a missile attack on Belgorod, but air defense worked.

Rocket-artillery duels and battles for a foothold in the area of the Ingulets River continue in the South. The situation there is difficult for the parties, the militants are pressing with numbers, we rely on technical superiority.

Do not expect quick and easy victories, ignore the cheers-winning reports, unconfirmed photos and videos, the third stage will stretch for months and will be difficult. With a favorable outcome, it will be possible to free the DPR and bleed the shock fist in the South. I think the margin of safety of the parties is enough until October. The key marker will be the fall of Slavyansk and Avdievka.

On the supply of weapons to Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] With regard to the history of https://colonelcassad.livejournal.com/7762081.html, with emerging documents on the purchase of old Soviet military equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a number of points should be noted.

1. Despite many years of talk about the growth of the Ukrainian defense industry, most of its "know-how" remained in single-exhibition copies, which is why they do not have a significant impact on the course of hostilities. At the current stage, the main problems for the RF Armed Forces come in the vast majority of cases from foreign weapons.

2. Ukraine has not been able to ensure the development of a full-fledged military industry, which could ensure the mass production of weapons for the mobilized army. In addition, what was available was destroyed by the strikes of the RF Armed Forces. It can be assumed that the pre-war purchases of old weapons, as well as the current supply of old weapons, initially proceeded from the premise that, from a production point of view, Ukraine would not be able to pull out a long conflict in any way and weapons would have to be purchased abroad, despite all the victorious reports about "Ukrainian ultimate weapons." This is how it happens in practice.

3. Since modern weapons are expensive, the stake was initially placed on the purchase of old Soviet and NATO weapons, which are not so pitiful to lose and which are cheap enough to ensure mass supplies for arming the mobilized population.

4. Since 2014, Ukraine has been actively trying to purchase various old Soviet and NATO weapons to compensate for losses in the campaigns of 2014-2015, where the issue of compensating for losses in armored vehicles and artillery, as well as restoring aviation, was particularly acute.

5. The search was conducted not only in the countries of Eastern Europe. In the Middle East, they tried to buy components for helicopters. The scheme for the purchase of armored vehicles in Kazakhstan is well described in the material. Bought even in Russia. Until 2015, I YaDZ received components for military armored vehicles from the Russian Federation. Later, a scheme was built with the delivery of components through Pridnestrovie, which was covered by the FSB.

There have been attempts to gain access to purchases of blades for helicopter engines. All this was a reflection of Ukraine's inability to replace the basic models of weapons, therefore, the replacement of losses or the current plugging of holes proceeds according to the principle - if only it were, regardless of the issue of quality, standardization, maintainability, etc.

6. Western intelligence services and companies affiliated with them knew very well how such schemes work back in the Syrian war, and therefore various gray schemes for the supply of weapons and ammunition, bypassing European legal procedures, were carried out like clockwork. Eastern Europe, as in the case of Syria, acted as the main logistics hub, where not only reserves were accumulated from the warehouses of the Internal Affairs Directorate, but also weapons that could be purchased in other regions.

The fact that they have been actively engaged in this since 2014 once again indicates that Ukraine was being prepared for a war with Russia long before the NVO, and now the process has simply come to a finalization. However, the West does not hide the very fact of such preparations for unleashing a war in Ukraine.

-Land of the Free
How To Erode the World's Greatest Military
[American Greatness] The U.S. Army has met only 40 percent of its 2022 recruiting goals.

In fact, all branches of the military are facing historic resistance to their current recruiting efforts. If some solution is not found quickly, the armed forces will radically shrink or be forced to lower standards—or both.

Such a crisis occurs importunely as an aggressive Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea believe the Biden Administration and the Pentagon have lost traditional U.S. deterrence.

That pessimistic view abroad unfortunately is now shared by many Americans at home. In 2021, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute conducted its periodic poll of attitudes toward the U.S. military. The result was astonishing. Currently, only 45 percent of Americans polled expressed a great deal of trust in their armed forces. Confidence had dived 25 points since an early 2018 poll.

Military officials cite both the usual and a new array of challenges in finding suitable young soldiers—drug use, gang affiliation, physical and mental incapacities, and the dislocations arising from the COVID pandemic and vaccination mandates. But they are too quiet about why such supposedly longer-term obstacles suddenly coalesced in 2022—as if their own leadership and policies have had no effect in discouraging tens of thousands of young men and women to join them.

THE GREATEST SKEDADDLE IN MODERN AMERICAN HISTORY
A year ago, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley were assuring the country not to worry over Joe Biden’s strange ideas of abruptly pulling out all U.S. troops from Afghanistan. The radical step was purportedly to coincide with Biden’s planned 20-year celebratory event marking his role in ensuring an iconic end of the war on terror that began on September 11, 2001.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Hunter Biden's biz partner called Joe Biden ‘the Big Guy' in panicked message after Post's laptop story
[NYP] One of Hunter Biden’s former business partners referred to Joe Biden as "the Big Guy" in a panicked message the same day The Post broke news of the infamous laptop from hell left behind by the president’s son, The Post has learned.

James Gilliar, a former British Special Forces officer with ties to UK intelligence services, discussed The Post’s exclusive report with an unnamed person on Oct. 14, 2020, according to the message provided by a whistleblower to GOP congressional investigators probing the laptop.

In the message, Gilliar, 58, reassured the person that the revelations about Biden’s apparent involvement in his son’s foreign deals would not be damaging — regardless of the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

Gilliar was asked if "Hunter and/or Joe or Joe’s campaign [would] try to make it ’Oh, we were never involved’ ... and try to basically make us collateral damage?"

"I don’t see how that would work for them..." Gilliar responded in the 6.07 p.m. message reviewed by The Post.

"I think in the scenario that he wins they would just leave sleeping dogs lie," Gilliar added.

Etymology - The saying “let sleeping dogs lie” was a favourite of Sir Robert Walpole, the first Prime Minister of Great Britain.

#2  But wait, there's more:

https://greeleytribune.net/hunter-biden-scandal-could-lead-joe-straight-back/

Gillier warned Bobulinsky in a WhatsApp message on May 20, 2017 about the need for discretion: “Not to mention who gets involved, it’s only when you’re face-to-face, I know you know.” But they’re crazy.”

Based in the Czech Republic, Gillier was dubbed “MI6” by Bobulinsky, after the British Foreign Intelligence Service, due to Gillier’s secretive manner. He also told Hunter that he had worked with British intelligence and introduced a potential participant in the Middle East to Oman as the “former MI Six Head of Region”. Gillier wanted to hire former British “diplomat” David Holtum to help with the Oman energy project he was working on for CEFC.

The MI6 angle is intriguing because another British spy, Christopher Steele, was at the center of a Russia collusion plan devised by Hillary Clinton’s campaign to portray Donald Trump as a Russian agent. Steele was the former head of MI6’s Russia desk.

In a biography on Hunter’s laptop, Gillier describes himself as “expert training in civil/military security operations and analysis, counter-terrorism, close security and firearms, armed and unarmed warfare” with expertise in security and intelligence-based analysis and systems. Gives background.”

His first appearance on the laptop is a CC’d email to Hunter on 23 February 2016, discussing his upcoming trip to Beijing to meet the CEFC board and acquire the US Westinghouse Electric Corporation.

My guess the drip is orchestrated by those behind the current Puppet Show and who now have a plan for Post Biden Puppet Show 2.0. Turning up the heat but not blowing up the entire package because too many second-tier players know names and faces. It is of note to me that the most seasoned and intimate player from the Obama era, still at the White House and fully exercising enormous power, has become invisible for months now. Susan Rice. My guess is she is a principal in the coming solution to the Post-Biden solution. The question remains has the Cackle-Jackal been bought, muzzled or is there a bypass plan in place? By every outside measure, she has a deeply flawed ego, and little demonstrated intellect or American character. Deals with her will not survive an elevation to the Oval Office...

Government Corruption
One gets 63-month sentence for role in US Capitol riot Reuters
The world is watching. We’ve seen reports on this story from Israel and now Pakistan.
[Dawn] A District of Columbia man who pleaded guilty to assaulting coppers outside the US Capitol was sentenced on Tuesday to 63 months behind bars, tying the record for the longest prison term to date for anyone convicted in the Jan 6, 2021 riot.

Mark Ponder, 56, also was ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution and faces three years of supervised release following his federal prison term of five years and three months, the US Department of Justice said in announcing the sentencing.

Ponder assaulted three officers in a series of confrontations on the Capitol grounds after a mob of supporters of then-president Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
overwhelmed police lines on the West Plaza of the building on the afternoon of Jan 6, according to court documents in the case.

The ensuing riot led to several deaths, left more than 140 coppers injured and delayed a joint session of Congress in certifying the November 2020 presidential election victory of Democrat Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...
over Trump, the Republican incumbent who falsely claimed he lost due to widespread fraud and summoned supporters to Washington to "stop the steal." Arrested on March 17, 2021, Ponder pleaded guilty in April of this year to charges of assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers using a dangerous weapon.

According to the DOJ statement, he swung a pole at a US Capitol Police officer, striking the officer’s riot shield and breaking the pole in two, before arming himself with a thicker pole that he wielded against other officers, striking one of them in the shoulder. US District Judge Tanya Chutkan, at Tuesday’s hearing, said Ponder "was leading the charge" as "part of a group who, when they couldn’t get what they wanted, decided they were going to take it, and they were going to take it with violence," according to the Washington Post.

The 63-month-long sentence levied against Ponder matches the prison term imposed in December against a Florida man, Robert Scott Palmer, convicted for throwing a wooden plank and a fire extinguisher at police during the Jan 6 riot.

Palmer’s sentence was then the longest yet stemming from the attack on the Capitol.

More than 850 people have been charged with taking part in the riot, the most violent mostly peaceful assault on the halls of Congress since the British invasion of Washington during the War of 1812. More than 325 guilty pleas have been entered to date in connection with the Jan. 6 upheaval.

Iran says arrested Israel-linked agents were Kurdish rebels
[AnNahar] Iran's intelligence ministry said Wednesday that agents linked to Israel's Mossad who were arrested last week were also members of an outlawed Kurdish rebel group who planned to target a "sensitive defense center."
The conclusion that they were Mossad sounds like a stretch.
The ministry had announced on Saturday that it arrested "members of a terrorist organization who work for the Zionist spy agency Mossad and were sent to (Iran) to carry out (a) terrorist operation."

It did not say how many suspects were arrested, nor did it identify the targets of the purported plots against "sensitive sites", but alleged that they entered from neighboring Iraq's autonomous Kurdistan region.

On Wednesday, the intelligence ministry said in a new statement that "the elements of the operating team are members of the Komalah terrorist and mercenary group."

Komalah is a Marxist group which seeks autonomy for Kurdish-populated regions of northern Iran
...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979...
and has been outlawed since the Islamic revolution of 1979.

The group has periodically clashed with security forces in northwest Iran, which has a sizeable Kurdish population.

Iranian intelligence forces in April said they arrested a number of Komalah members in the northwestern province of Kurdistan who were seeking to "cause security problems."

The ministry on Wednesday published pictures of equipment and weapons allegedly confiscated from those detained.

They showed square-shaped pieces of furniture with 'bombs' hidden inside, pistols with silencers and bullets, SD cards hidden in the cap of perfume bottles, oxygen tanks, in addition to laptops, mobile phones and cash.

The arrested individuals were aiming to "blow up a sensitive defence industry centre in the country," the statement published on Wednesday said, without identifying the target.

Europe
Poland to buy hundreds of South Korean tanks, howitzers after sending arms to Ukraine
[Egypt Independent] Poland is buying almost 1,000 tanks, more than 600 pieces of artillery and dozens of fighter jets from South Korea, in part to replace equipment donated to Ukraine to help Kyiv fight the Russian invasion, the Polish Ministry of Defense told CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
on Tuesday.

The agreement, expected to be officially announced in Poland on Wednesday, will see Warsaw purchase 980 tanks based on the South Korean K2 model, 648 self-propelled K9 armored howitzers, and 48 FA-50 fighter jets, the ministry said. It would not confirm the value of the deal.

The first 180 K2 tanks, made by Hyundai Rotem and equipped with auto-loading 120mm guns, are expected to arrive this year, with the production of 800 upgraded tanks starting in 2026 in Poland, according to the ministry.

The first 48 K9 howitzers, made by Hanwha Defense, are also expected to arrive this year, with delivery of a second batch of 600 due to start in 2024. From 2025 these will be produced in Poland, the ministry said.

The ministry said these armored vehicles would, in part, replace the Soviet-era tanks that Poland has donated to Ukraine to use in its fight against Russia.

So is SOUTH Korea planning to fight a different kind of War with the North next go around?

Because Ukraine has shown the Tank is no longer the owner of the battlefield that it once was? Because Ukraine took out tank after tank with shoulder and team fired TOW like weapons.

Or is it because South Korea has "acquired" rumored Directed-Energy Weapons (DEW) now being fielded?

#5  NN2N;
The only thing Russians have proven is the fact that you CANNOT army without putting Soldiers in it.

An armoured vehicle needs 3-5 crew (to actually fight) as well as the support of a few 5 men dismount blobs to infantry when needed. For a very long time, very many Russian BCTs only had enough warm bodies to put 2 or in some worse cases "1" warm body to run the vehicles in the middle of their convoys (to inflate their apparent numbers)

They also don't have ANY logistical capacity. They have the gear but they simply couldn't push that gear further than 20 kilometers / 12 miles from their trackheads which resulted in unbelievably erratic and unreliable arty.

The Ukraine is an abject lesson in the results of graft and paper soldiers (Calling Byzantium on line 1, Calling 3 Kingdoms on line 2, Calling Babylonians on line 3...), anything else needs a very in depth look to properly analyze.

Anyway, back to K2;
Those things are bloody bastards, especially in pre-measured defensive actions but the magic actually lies in the ammo (for the most part). I hope Poles are bargaining hard for the guidance package tech and the C3 modules or they will only be getting slightly better/sidegrade M1A2 SEPv2s.

#7  Unlikely the ROKs will field directed energy weapons. Much more likely for them to use blinding handheld lasers. Similar to those demonstrated by China back in 2015 (BBQ-095, WJG-2002, PY132A and PY131A). The NORKs aren't signatories to the agreements against using blinding lasers so presumably that could be a loophole for the ROKs. No defense I'm aware of against frequency hopping blinding lasers. The best armed / motivated troops in the world aren't going to do much when they are (permanently) blinded. And it's powerful incentive for their comrades to exit stage left.

Senate Passes Bill to Subsidize Microchips and Build Chip Plants
[PJMEDIA] The Senate passed a $280 billion "CHIPS and Science Act," — the culmination of several years’ efforts to create a modern industrial policy for the U.S. The bill will also give $100 billion to support regional technology hubs to support start-ups in areas of the country that haven’t traditionally drawn big funding for tech.

The bill would give $52 billion in subsidies to microchip manufacturers like Intel Corporation and will allow them to compete on a somewhat even playing field with China.

Considering the polarization in Congress, it’s remarkable that the bill received as much Republican support as it did — 17 GOP Senators voted for the bill. The bill now moves on to the House where Speaker Nancy Pelosi promises to bring it to the floor quickly. It’s expected that there will be Republican support for the bill in the House as well.

The bill, a convergence of economic and national security policy, would provide $52 billion in subsidies and additional tax credits to companies that manufacture chips in the United States. It also would add $200 billion in scientific research, especially into artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum computing and a range of other technologies.

The real impetus for passage was the pandemic when America’s chip shortage contributed to the supply chain problems suffered by many industries.

In the end, it was made possible only by an unlikely collision of factors: a pandemic that laid bare the costs of a global semiconductor shortage, heavy lobbying from the chip industry, Mr. Young’s persistence in urging his colleagues to break with party orthodoxy and support the bill, and Mr. Schumer’s ascension to the top job in the Senate.

Many senators, including Republicans, saw the legislation as a critical step to strengthen America’s semiconductor manufacturing abilities at a time when the nation has become perilously reliant on foreign countries — especially an increasingly vulnerable Taiwan — for advanced chips.

But a Wall Street Journal editorial points out the perils of allowing the government to subsidize any industry. Companies are going to have to play by different rules, including paying workers the "prevailing wage" in the region.
This is interesting.

Currently the US makes 80% of the TOTAL VALUE of the chip market. Meaning if you need server/desktop CPUs/GPUs or other high end chips, it is designed and made in the US or the design is sent to Taiwan to make. We make the good shit.

Middle ground chips like for automobiles or other value added goods are typically made in Korea, Indonesia, Japan, etc.

Cheap chips like the Internet of Things talking toaster are made in China.

It will be interesting to see what the US pushes our chip manufacturers to make here. If they want the mid-range chips brought back, we can expect they think Asia is going to hell in a handbasket. The cheap crap chips China puts out are just not profitable and will have to be outsourced to a nation like Columbia or such that has cheap, but educated labor.

Fed raises Prime by 75 basis points
[FoxBusiness] The three-quarter percentage point hikes in June and July — the first since 1994 — underscore just how serious Fed officials are about tackling the inflation crisis after a string of alarming economic reports. Policymakers voted unanimously to approve the latest super-sized hike.

The move puts the key benchmark federal funds rate at a range of 2.25% to 2.50%, the highest since the pandemic began two years ago. It marks the fourth consecutive rate increase this year.

Policymakers signaled in their post-meeting statement that additional increases are likely in the coming months as they remain "strongly committed to returning inflation to its 2% objective."
Unfortunately, the Fed had made almost no progress unwinding the $6Trillion QE pile of debt they hold. They keep making noises about this but action is slow

Argumentative miscreants get Taco Bell hot bath
[FOX5] DALLAS, Texas - A woman claims that she and a young girl who went to a Taco Bell in Dallas, Texas, were left feeling like they were "burning from the inside out" after a store manager allegedly covered them in boiling water.
I'm not sure boiling them alive is the approved punishment for starting a fight in a Taco Bell.
A lawsuit filed July 13 in Dallas County Circuit Court claims that Brittany Davis and the daughter of Kira Davis identified only as "C.T." complained repeatedly that their order had not been prepared properly, when an employee threatened to fight them before the manager doused them in hot water, causing significant pain and disfigurement.

"Due to the scalding water that remained in their clothes against their bodies, C.T. and Brittany felt like they were ’burning from the inside out,’" the complaint states. "The store they believed would be [a] place of service and safety quickly turned into [a] place of horrors."

Attorneys for the plaintiffs in the case filed a temporary injunction to release security video of the incident to both parties in the lawsuit, prompting Attorney Ben Crump to share the footage.

Defund the FBI
[FRONTPAGEMAG] Was anyone really surprised when Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) announced that "highly credible" whistleblowers had given him information about FBI efforts to make the Hunter Biden scandal go away? Grassley wrote to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland Monday that "the information provided to my office involves concerns about the FBI’s receipt and use of derogatory information relating to Hunter Biden, and the FBI’s false portrayal of acquired evidence as disinformation. The volume and consistency of these allegations substantiate their credibility and necessitate this letter." Will anyone hail me as a prognosticator of extraordinary powers when I predict, correctly, that in response to this letter, Wray and Garland will do absolutely nothing, except possibly to cover their tracks more effectively? No, because anyone who has been paying attention can see that.

The FBI has become a cancer on the American body politic. The FBI must go.

Grassley summarized how the FBI spiked the Hunter Biden material, stating that "the allegations provided to my office appear to indicate that there was a scheme in place among certain FBI officials to undermine derogatory information connected to Hunter Biden by falsely suggesting it was disinformation." He noted that a 2020 FBI intelligence assessment that was "used by an FBI headquarters team to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation." He added: "Based on allegations, verified and verifiable derogatory information on Hunter Biden was falsely labeled as disinformation."

Grassley continued: "In light of these allegations, I remain very concerned that political bias by a select group of Justice Department and FBI officials has infected the Justice Department’s and FBI’s usual process and procedure to open and pursue high-profile and politically charged investigations." He then concluded: "If these allegations are true and accurate, the Justice Department and FBI are — and have been — institutionally corrupted to their very core to the point in which the United States Congress and the American people will have no confidence in the equal application of the law."

That’s right. And Hunter Biden isn’t even close to being the first sign of this institutional corruption. Garland even sicced the FBI on parents protesting at school board meetings over the imposition of the woke agenda in public schools. When challenged, Garland insisted that this was all on the up-and-up: "Parents have been complaining about the education of their children and about school boards since there were such things as school boards and public education. This is totally protected by the First Amendment. True threats of violence are not protected by the First Amendment. Those are the things we are worried about here. Those are the only things we are worried about here. We are not investigating peaceful protests or parent involvement in school board meetings. There is no precedent for doing that and we would never do that. We are only concerned about violence and threats of violence against school administrators, teachers, staff."

That sounds reasonable, but PJ Media’s Megan Fox did a deep dive into the supposed "threats" that school board members had allegedly received that justified FBI intervention, and came up empty. Fox concluded, "There isn’t one legitimate threat on the NSBA’s list or a situation that wasn’t handled easily by the police." The NSBA is the National School Boards Association, which appealed to the FBI for help, with Wray’s corrupt Bureau only too happy to oblige.

This is the same FBI that consistently denies the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat, and lied outright about the jihadi who stormed the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue in Colleyville, Texas, and took hostages in January 2022, demanding the release of convicted jihad terrorist Aafia Siddiqui
...American-educated Pak cognitive neuroscientist who was convicted of assault with intent to murder her U.S. interrogators in Afghanistan. In September 2010, she was sentenced to 86 years in jug after a three-ring trial. Siddiqui, using the alias Fahrem or Feriel Shahin, was one of six alleged al-Qaeda members who bought $19 million worth of blood diamonds in Liberia immediately prior to 9-11-01. Since her incarceration Paks have taken her to their heart and periodically erupt into demonstrations, while the government tries to find somebody to swap for her...
. FBI Special Agent in Charge Matt DeSarno said: "We do believe from our engagement with this subject that he was singularly focused on one issue, uh, and it was not specifically related to the Jewish community, uh, but we’re continuing to work to find motive and, and we will continue on that path." Several days later, with the evidence overwhelming, the FBI had to admit sheepishly that it was a assassination on Jews after all.

FBI and Homeland Security Department officials have often insisted and frequently repeated the claim that "white supremacists" and other "domestic bully boys" constitute the foremost terror threat the nation faces. The FBI is currently pursuing no fewer than 2,700 investigations of "domestic extremism," more than twice the usual number of such investigations. The dramatic increase in investigations suggests, at least in a sane world, a response to a sharply increased threat, but Biden’s handlers have shown no evidence of a massive spike in "white supremacist" terrorism. It’s just something we’re supposed to take their word for. Timothy Langan, the assistant director of the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division, in November 2021 presented it to Congress as axiomatic: "It goes without saying that the threat from domestic terrorism is heightened and has significantly increased in the last 18 months."

Does it really? Or is that just what the feds would have us believe as the January 6 Committee continues its efforts to stigmatize legitimate political opposition as terrorism? Even the far-Left Daily Beast reported as far back as April 2021 that "the FBI, without any court order, sifted through the National Security Agency’s massive troves of foreign communications for information on American ’racially motivated violent mostly peaceful bully boys,’ a newly declassified order from the secret surveillance court details."

And all this is aside from the FBI’s role in the Russian Collusion hoax and so much more. The FBI today is a rogue, out-of-control agency in service not of justice but of the interests of the Democrat Party. It should be shut down. But will there ever be a president with the courage to do so?

Russia fired S-300 at Israeli jets over Syria in ‘one-off’ incident in May, Gantz confirms
[IsraelTimes] Defense minister acknowledges accuracy of TV report after May Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
in Masyaf, says IAF fighter jets had already departed area

Defense Minister Benny Gantz on Tuesday confirmed that Russian forces opened fire on Israeli jets in May using advanced S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, at the end of an Israeli Air Force attack on targets in northwestern Syria.

The incident was first reported by Channel 13 news a week after the strike on May 13, in which the IAF bombed several targets near the city of Masyaf in northwestern Syria.

"It was a one-off incident," Gantz told a conference hosted by Channel 13 on Tuesday when asked by Alon Ben David, the news hound who broke the story.

"Our jets weren’t even in the area," Gantz added, confirming the original report which claimed the S-300 radar did not manage to lock onto the Israeli jets that were leaving the area, and thus did not pose a serious threat to the pilots.

The incident marked the first use of the S-300s against the IAF over Syria.

As Syria’s S-300 batteries are operated by the Russian military and cannot be fired without their approval, it was a worrying development for Israel, which has carried out hundreds of airstrikes inside Syria in the course of the country’s civil war and since, targeting what it says are arms shipments bound for Lebanon Hezbollahstan
...the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity™, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade...
’s Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group and other Iranian-linked sites.

But Gantz stressed: "I think the situation is stable now."

Israel has reportedly conducted numerous airstrikes in Syria since the May incident.

The Masyaf area is thought to be used as a base for Iranian forces and pro-Iranian militias and has been repeatedly targeted in recent years in attacks attributed to Israel. Satellite imagery taken after the strike showed that an underground facility had been completely destroyed.

Gantz’s confirmation comes amid a deterioration in ties between Israel and Russia over Moscow’s plans to shutter the Jewish Agency in the country.

Israel has found itself at odds with Russia as it increasingly supports Ukraine amid Russia’s invasion, while seeking to maintain freedom of movement in Syria’s skies, which are largely controlled by Moscow.

In recent years, Israel and Russia established a so-called deconfliction hotline to keep the sides from getting tangled up and accidentally clashing over Syria.

In 2018, Russia provided the advanced S-300 air defense system to Syria’s military free of charge, transferring three battalions with eight launchers each to the Assad regime despite strenuous objections from Israel and the US.

Russia’s delivery of the S-300 system to Syria followed the downing of a Russian spy aircraft by Syrian forces that were responding to an Israeli strike over Syrian airspace. Russia blamed Israel for the incident, which killed 15 Russian crew members.

Israel and its allies for years had lobbied Russia not to give Syria and other regional players the S-300 system, arguing that it would limit Israel’s ability to neutralize threats, including by Hezbollah.

Beyond providing Syria with its air defenses, Moscow also maintains state-of-the-art S-400 air defense systems to protect its own assets in Syria, but has never turned them on Israeli planes.

Germany to Cut Subsidies to Electric Cars, Let Them Sell at True Price
[Breitbart] The German government plans to reduce incentive payments for buyers of electric cars and end incentives for buying plug-in hybrids at the end of this year.

The government had announced shortly after taking office in December that, starting in 2023, it would only provide payments for electric vehicles that “demonstrably have a positive climate-protection effect.” It unveiled details of the new system late Tuesday.

At present, buyers of electric-only cars are eligible for incentives of up to 6,000 euros ($6,100) and people who buy plug-in hybrids can get up to 4,500 euros.

The economy and climate ministry said the number of electric cars on the road is rising fast, with the total expected to near 2 million this year. They “are becoming ever more popular and will need no state subsidies in the foreseeable future,” minister Robert Habeck said in a statement.

Starting in January, incentives for electric and fuel-cell cars will be cut to 4,500 euros apiece for vehicles with a list price of up to 40,000 euros and to 3,000 euros for cars costing 40,000-65,000 euros.

From September next year, incentives will be limited to private individuals, though the government is considering allowing small businesses and charitable organizations to remain eligible.

From January 2024, incentives will be cut to 3,000 euros for vehicles priced at up to 45,000 euros and scrapped for more expensive cars.

The funding will also be capped, and incentives will end once it is exhausted. German news agency dpa, citing unidentified government officials, reported that the total available for 2023 and 2024 will be 3.4 billion euros.

The government wants to have at least 15 million fully electric cars on the road by 2030. It also aims to step up efforts against climate change by expanding the use of renewable energy and bringing Germany´s exit from coal-fired power forward from 2038, “ideally” to 2030.

Canada, Ireland Issue Emission Restrictions for Farmers,
[Epoch Times] Canada and Ireland are rolling out policies to force their farmers to cut carbon emissions to a point that the farmers say would affect food production. Despite the potential negative consequences, the policies would seem to only achieve minute results for the "decarbonization" agenda.

Some Canadian provincial officials recently criticized their federal government for setting a goal of cutting emissions from synthetic fertilizer use by 30 percent by 2030 without first consulting the provinces "on what is achievable or attainable."

"Provinces pushed the federal government to discuss this important topic, but were disappointed to learn that the target is already set," Saskatchewan and Alberta ministers of agriculture said in a July 22 statement.

"This has been the most expensive crop anyone has put in, following a very difficult year on the prairies," Alberta Minister of Agriculture Nate Horner said in the release.

"The world is looking for Canada to increase production and be a solution to global food shortages. The Federal government needs to display that they understand this."
Seems to be working out really well in Holland.
Meanwhile, the Canadian fertilizer industry already has a program called 4R Nutrient Stewardship that would, if rolled out across the major farming areas, cut emissions by 15 to 22 percent while also boosting profits by using fertilizers more efficiently. The government’s insistence on the 30 percent figure thus translates to a reduction of about 0.1—0.2 percent of Canada’s 2019 emissions and about 0.002—0.005 percent of world emissions beyond what the industry works to achieve on its own.

Ireland is in a similar situation. Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue is reportedly about to agree to a 27 or 28 percent carbon emission reduction goal for his sector.

15 people killed in two cities of Eastern DRC amid anti-UN protests
[AFRICANEWS] The corpse count following the protests in Eastern DRC this Tuesday rose to 15. According to a UN spokesperson and the Congolese government, three members of the MONUSCO mission and at least 12 protesters were killed in two cities of the North Kivu province.

Since Monday, demonstrators have been gathering in various cities of Eastern DRC saying they want the UN's mission in the region to end and the peacekeepers to leave, claiming they haven't been able to counter gangs. "The MONUSCO has been here in DRC for over 20 years, but there is no peace in North Kivu, no peace in the East, how can you explain the M23 rebel group has more powerful weapons than MONUSCO.", says Mugisho Muhindo a protester in Goma.

The situation in Butembo, the region's third city was chaotic all Tuesday afternoon and activities were paralysed. In the morning, hundreds of protesters had surrounded UN's logistics base in Goma and attacked the mission's transit camp outside the city centre. And according to journalists on the ground, Congolese security forces struggled to contain the crowd.

A UN spokesperson said that the situation was still tense and a backup would be sent.

Idaho sheriff sends dire warning to 'idiotic' Biden officials: 'We are on the cusp of complete collapse'
[FoxNews] Sheriff Kieran Donahue slams DHS Secretary Mayorkas, says his officers are 'at war' with drug cartels.

An Idaho sheriff said Wednesday his county is experiencing a "crisis level" of drug overdoses, especially fentanyl and methamphetamine that comes across the southern border.

Canyon County, Idaho Sheriff Kieran Donahue joined "Fox & Friends First" to discuss how drug cartels are destroying his community.

"We're at a crisis stage, quite frankly. We have never seen the numbers of seizures and the amounts of any drug, including methamphetamine, like we're seeing in fentanyl. And of course, we're still dealing with the methamphetamine crisis we've been in for years," he told Carley Shimkus.

Donahue said he has had numerous hospitalizations of deputies just from being in contact with the potent drug.

The sheriff said these cartels are well-established and exist in all communities throughout the United States.

"There is not a day or night goes by that we're not dealing with someone associated with the Mexican cartels, at least in our community and communities throughout the state of Idaho. … We are at war with the cartels," he said.

Donahue described how cartels tried to kidnap his then 16-year-old daughter during his time on an FBI gang task force. He said the plot was interrupted before it could be carried out.

"My family's been threatened by these gangs, by the cartel membership. They tried to kidnap my daughter years ago. She was 16 years old. Thankfully, that case got unraveled before it actually happened," he explained.

Watters: Cartels making billions smuggling migrants at borderVideo
Donahue concluded by calling DHS Secretary Mayorkas "idiotic" for claiming the southern border is secure and said the administration is "hiding from the truth" about what's going on at the border.

"This is absolutely ridiculous to think this border is secure, that we're safe in our communities. We are not. We are on the cusp of complete collapse."

Threat from de-anchored Ukrainian mines remains in the Black Sea
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] The threat of drifting Ukrainian sea mines remains in the Black Sea, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the National Center for Defense Control of the Russian Federation, said at a briefing on the evening of July 27.

He noted that mines torn from anchors pose a threat not only to ships, but also to coastal structures.

“There remains a danger to navigation and damage to port infrastructure from the drift of Ukrainian mines torn from anchor along the coast of the Black Sea states.

The Russian Federation is taking the whole range of measures to ensure the safety of civil navigation in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas ,” Mizintsev said.

Ukraine has not yet unblocked foreign vessels in its ports

[REGNUM] Dozens of foreign ships are still blocked in the seaports of Ukraine, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev , head of the National Center for Defense Control of the Russian Federation, said at a briefing on the evening of July 27 .

He noted that Kyiv continues to evade the solution of this problem.

“"In six ports (Kherson, Nikolaev, Chernomorsk, Ochakov, Odessa and Yuzhny), 70 foreign ships from 16 states remain blocked. The threat of shelling and the high mine danger created by official Kiev do not allow ships to go to the open sea without hindrance," Mizintsev said.

At the same time, humanitarian corridors for ships organized by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to operate in the Black Sea.

"In the Black Sea (daily from 08:00 to 19:00 (Moscow time) - to exit the ports of Kherson, Nikolaev, Chernomorsk, Ochakov, Odessa and Yuzhny in a south-westerly direction from the territorial sea of Ukraine, 139 miles long and three miles wide;

in the Sea of Azov (round the clock) - to exit the port of Mariupol with a length of 115 miles and a width of two miles in the direction of the Black Sea.

Detailed information on the functioning of the maritime humanitarian corridors is transmitted every 15 minutes via VHF radio communications on 14 and 16 international channels in English and Russian,” said Mikhail Mizintsev.

Democrats Admit Defeat: Amnesty for Illegal Aliens Not in Budget Package
[Breitbart] Senate Democrats are admitting defeat in their efforts to slip an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens into an upcoming budget reconciliation package.

While Senate Democrats and Republicans are currently negotiating a reconciliation package — a filibuster-proof budget that only needs majority support to pass — Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) admitted that amnesty for illegal aliens will not make it into the final deal.

“Asked if immigration is at all part of reconciliation talks, [Sen. Durbin] responds with a clear and unequivocal ‘no,'” NBC’s Sahil Kapur posted on Twitter on Tuesday.

The admission comes after Senate Democrats failed repeatedly last year to slip an amnesty for illegal aliens into a budget reconciliation package.

Last month, Durbin said he and Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) were in talks about an amnesty deal. Tillis, this week, said those talks are still ongoing.

Also flailing is an amnesty plan for illegal aliens claiming to have worked on United States farms. The plan, backed by a swath of House and Senate Republicans representing the west coast, would give green cards to as many as 2.1 million illegal aliens.

Supporters now admit that time is dwindling to get the legislation through Congress before an August recess.

At the same time, House Democrats have introduced a daily “rolling” amnesty plan that would give green cards to millions of illegal aliens every single year by changing a little-known registry date in federal immigration law.

That plan is likely to fail as well.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
West and oil: who can increase production
Direct Translation via Google Translate.

Written by Russian writer Pavel Kukhmirov. Kukhmirirov also is a former Donbass militiaman.

[Sevastopol] The United States has proposed imposing sanctions on China's purchase of Russian oil. This proposal was made by US Senator Rubio. In addition, US senators from the Republican Party called for sanctions against insurers of tankers transporting fuel from Russia to China.

The West continues to stubbornly prevent the export of Russian energy resources. But the longer this happens, the more relevant the question becomes, what to replace them with. And the options are limited.

For example, the states included in the OPEC + deal have already increased production by 297 thousand barrels per day (b / d) by mid-summer. More than 60 percent of this increase was provided by the main countries of the Persian Gulf - they accounted for 229 thousand b/d. But despite this, the level of production of OPEC countries is now lagging behind even the level of 2020, the period of the collapse of the old OPEC + deal at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The main Gulf countries then pumped 2.4 million b/d more than they do now. And other participants in the OPEC+ deal, too.

In America itself, oil production in mid-summer was at around 12 million bpd. This is the highest figure since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic (before which production in America reached 12.8 million b/d).

However, for the oil market, the key indicator is the volume of exports, which now objectively cannot consistently exceed the level of 3.5 million b/d even with an increase in production. And this is almost two times lower than last year's level of 6.5 million bpd.

This situation is caused by infrastructural restrictions, as the US government organization MARAD is torpedoing the issuance of permits for the construction of deep-sea oil terminals for tankers with a carrying capacity of more than 1 million b / d. This is the environmental agenda of the ruling Democrats. As a result, the volume of US exports is already inferior not only to Saudi Arabia, but even to the Russian Federation, which was forced to reduce production by 850,000 b/d compared to the beginning of the year.

Based on this, purely technically, the same main countries of the Persian Gulf now have more opportunities to increase the supply of oil. There, mining is carried out by monopoly companies, united with local energy regulators. And the structure of production there contributes to this: flowing wells powerfully facilitate the process itself.

But at the same time, production growth rates will not be able to exceed the volumes of already established quotas, even if they will now grow by 648,000 bpd every month. OPEC countries have their own interest: they are concerned about the risks of falling prices due to too rapid growth in supply. And they are not interested in increasing it too much.

The same major Gulf countries are producing a total of 76,000 b/d less than the available quota by mid-summer, while the other countries of the OPEC+ deal also produce almost 1 million b/d less. This is equal to 1 percent of total global oil consumption. And it's weighty. Very weighty.

If the price of oil is kept above $85 per barrel, America will strive for pre-pandemic production levels. But this year, American producers are unlikely to be able to seriously increase exports due to the same infrastructure restrictions.

So in the coming months, the Russian Federation is quite capable of maintaining its existing share in the European oil market. If anything: it is 26 percent, despite the fact that the United States has 12 percent, and the main countries of the Persian Gulf have 6 percent.

How the current Russian Federation will take advantage of this natural advantage is a separate issue.

IDF unveils Hamas sites to be targeted in future Gaza conflicts
[Jpost] After countless operations in the Gaza Strip where the army failed at legitimizing its actions, the IDF has published several military sites used by Hamas in the heart of urban areas.

The sites, including a weapons warehouse next to Shifa Hospital as well as several mosques, will likely be targeted in a future conflict between the two sides.

The IDF has been highly criticized during military operations in the densely populated Gaza Strip, both abroad and in Israel. During last year’s 11-day Operation Guardian of the Walls, the military was condemned for a strike that targeted the 12-story al-Jalaa tower in Gaza City, which housed AP’s offices, among others.

During last year’s conflict, Israel also targeted what they described as Hamas’s “Metro” network of underground tunnels. The strikes on the underground network, 60 km. long, caused some homes to collapse, killing close to 60 people, including children.

Though the operation destroyed what the IDF considered was a Hamas “backbone” – where its commanders could move troops and weapons and direct attacks against Israel – the military was criticized for the civilian deaths.

An assessment by Airwars, which tracks all civilian harm by all foreign actors in Syria and other conflicts, found that between 56-68 civilians were killed during the strikes targeting the “Metro,” with at least 25 children having been killed. Another 168 civilians were injured.

IDF INVESTIGATES PR ISSUES
Following the May conflict, the IDF opened an investigation into public relations-related issues connected to the conflict and began to work on better coordinating its public advocacy efforts with its actions during war.

While it’s a complex effort, the military believes that legitimizing its actions even before war would provide it with more freedom of action when conflict breaks out. Defense officials said that while the military does not see another war breaking out, preparations for another round of conflict in the Strip are conducted regularly.

On Wednesday shared with both foreign and local press several sites used by the terror group that are military targets.

Among the sites disclosed to journalists on Wednesday was a tunnel used to store weapons and and move fighters in Gaza City's Tuffah neighborhood next to a now-closed Pepsi factory that closed following last year’s war as well as close to a UNRWA elementary school which is used as an emergency shelter for some 2,500 people in times of hostilities.

Another tunnel used by Hamas in the Zabara neighborhood of Gaza City identified by the IDF on Wednesday is under a UNWRA school and a central ambulance center with 14 ambulances as well as a medical equipment storage complex. The tunnel also runs under a church and schools that are used as shelters during hostilities.

Another site is a tunnel entry shaft that was exposed during last year’s conflict near the al-Azar university in Gaza City which has about 20,000 students. According to the IDF, the tunnel entry shaft leads to a network of subterranean tunnels that branches throughout the Tel-Hawa area southwest of Gaza City and is also close to a police station, a UNWRA school, medical clinic, mosque, a community center and UNRWA’s headquarters in the area.

According to the IDF, Hamas has a munition production facility located in a building that is also used as a residential building. The site, which contains explosives and flammable material that would cause extreme damage should it explode, is 45 meters from a mosque, 55 meters from a UNRWA clinic that is used as a triage and primary screening center, and 60 meters from Shifa hospital.

Shifa is considered the blockaded enclave’s main hospital and treats thousands of patients daily. But it has also been used by the terror group for years, including in the 2009 Operation Cast Lead, when senior Hamas officials hid in the building. It also used the hospital in 2014 during Operation Protective Edge as its main headquarters.

The IDF also shared the location of a munition warehouse used by Hamas inside the al-Shahid Mosque in the Bureij refugee camp, in the heart of a civilian neighborhood and next to a public library funded by Germany’s KfW bank. The mosque serves as a community center, providing first aid courses and activities for local children.

Another mosque identified by the IDF as an ammunition depot was the Abdullah Azzam Mosque in the Nuseirat refugee camp. According to the army, the mosque is an important part of the camp, is surrounded by residential homes and is just 86 m. from the offices of UNRWA’s North Nuseirat relief and social services.

“An explosion, an accident or even a fire in the warehouse could result in injuries to civilians, from worshipers in the mosque to people who come to receive humanitarian aid,” the IDF said.

Following a Wednesday tour of the Gaza Division, Defense Minister Benny Gantz said, “Hamas fires from within the civilian population and into the civilian population – the world should charge Hamas a price for its crimes.”
The Times of Israel adds:
The military also published the identities of several Hamas fighters who live in buildings above tunnel entrances.

Democrats Push Bill to Allow U.S. Aid to Fund Abortions Around the World
Because we're rollin' in money...
[NEWSWEEK] To expand access to abortion globally, Democrats introduced a bill—the Abortion is Health Care Everywhere Act—in the Senate on Wednesday that seeks to repeal the Helms Amendment.

Enacted in 1973, the Helms Amendment prohibits U.S. foreign aid from being used for abortion "as a method of family planning." In practice, it has banned all U.S. foreign assistance funds from being used for any abortion care.

"We know that many countries have used Roe to support liberalizing their abortion laws and now face challenges," Senator Tina Smith, one of the bill's co-leads, told Newsweek.

"That's why it's critical for the United States to help protect and expand access to reproductive health care."

#6  My neighbor told me that the Christian Gnostics that got wiped out to the last man were on to something. They called Satan the Demiurge and demons Archons.
Whether that is literal or not, they said you can always detect pure evil by inversion, not partial, completely flipped. They were absolutely right. Some texts were burned in library of Alexandria arson, but some were later found in modern times, hidden in desert in Egypt.
This findings were some of the only unedited texts and there was no real arguments on their translation or authenticity. They are the earliest really. They also thought the old testament God was the Demiurge.

The Gnostics couldn’t bear the idea that God came first to the Jews for a reason, and that Jesus Christ himself was born into Jewish family for the same reason. And they loved the idea that they were privy to secret knowledge, whereas in general both Judaism and Christianity insist that that the knowledge is available for anyone who cares to look.

Government Corruption
That smell: A miasma of corruption clings to Rep. Eric Swalwell
[AMERICANTHINKER] When it comes to the most insufferable Democrat in Congress, Rep. Eric I farted on national television Swalwell
... U.S. Representative-for-Life from Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,'s 15th congressional district since 2013. Naturally he's a Dem. His district covers most of eastern Alameda County and part of central Contra Costa County. He was rapidly eliminated from the 2020 Dem nomination pool. He looks a lot like Greg Marmelard, and has the distinction of being one of the few politicians to ever fart on national teevee...
, there's always the stench of something.

This time, it's raw campaign finance corruption, given Swalwell's amazing life of luxury lived out to the max on campaign funding. It sounds like the same kind of grift that put his California Republican congressional colleague, Duncan Hunter, Jr., in a prison cell.

According to Fox News:

Eric Swalwell's campaign shows no signs of slowing its luxury spending, racking up more international costs at the likes of a five-star Gay Paree hotel, federal filings show.

The California Democrat's campaign has consistently dropped cash into high-end items, such as limousine services, flights and posh accommodations. His latest filings show the trend has spilled over into this year's second quarter.

Swalwell's campaign, comprised of just two paid staffers, reported spending nearly $38,000 on travel expenses between May 19 and June 30, including $3,538.94 in late May for catering for a fundraising event at La Belle France's "iconic" Ritz Gay Paree, a posh hotel that features several upscale bars and reservation rooms.

"Whenever you require nourishment for both body and soul, the Ritz Gay Paree is ready," the highly-rated hotel's website states.

Death toll from Somalia blasts climbs to at least 18
[SHABELLEMEDIA] Somali officials say two explosions Wednesday in the Lower Shabelle region have killed at least 18 people, including the mayor of the region’s capital. Islamist bad boy group al-Shabaab
...... the personification of Somali state failure...
grabbed credit for the deadliest attack. Mohammed Dhaysane reports from Mogadishu.

The first attack was a suicide kaboom that targeted officials in the town of Merca, the capital of Somalia’s Lower Shabelle region. The blast killed the mayor of the town, Abdullahi Ali Wafow, and 10 other people, while wounding a number of the mayor’s bodyguards.

A security official in the region told VOA by phone that the bombing took place near the Merca administration headquarters and was aimed at the mayor.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to media, said the fatalities could still rise given the size of the earth-shattering kaboom.

The Islamist bad boy group al-Shabaab grabbed credit for the deadly attack.

Merca is a port city located 92 kilometers from the Somali capital, Mogadishu.

In a separate incident Wednesday, a bomb went kaboom! at a busy livestock market in the town of Afgoye. Police say the attack was a landmine explosion.
Garowe adds:
At least 19 people were killed and 23 others injured in separate bomb attacks in two towns of southern Somalia Wednesday, officials said.

In the first incident, 13 people lost their lives while five others were wounded when a suicide bomber blew himself up in Marka town, Lower Shabelle region.

A regional official also confirmed that six people were killed while 18 others were wounded in twin attacks in Afgoye town, also in the Lower Shabelle region.

Governor of Lower Shabelle region Ibrahim Aden Ali Naja said a suicide bomber wearing an explosive vest blew himself up outside the administrative office in Marka town, killing District Commissioner Abdullahi Ali Wafow and 12 others.

"Wafow was killed in the explosion together with 12 other people who he was talking to outside his office," Naja told journalists in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.

The al-Shabab militant group which has engaged the Somali government in near-daily attacks across the country claimed responsibility for the attack in Marka town.

In the second attack, an official said the six were killed in two roadside explosions at a local market in Afgoye town in the same region.

Former spokesman of Afgoye district Administration Abdukadir Idle who was at the scene said two remotely-controlled landmines exploded at the crowded market. Idle noted that the second blast happened a few minutes later and targeted the people who were engaged in rescue operations.

"At least six people, mostly civilians, were killed and 18 others injured in the twin attacks conducted through remote-controlled explosive devices at Afgoye's animal market, the second blast caused more casualties," Idle told the Somali News Agency.

He said the market often hosts a large number of people who come to buy livestock Wednesday, which is a market day.

The militant group has intensified attacks as the government forces have made intensive operations against the extremists in central and southern regions in recent months in an attempt to flush out the al-Shabab cell.

Canada's Trudeau Declares War on Fertilizer, Following the Footsteps of Sri Lanka
[BREITBART] Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
...hereditary prime minister of the Great White North...
ignored cries of anger and desperation from farmers and provincial officials last weekend by pressing ahead with a climate change agenda that will dramatically reduce Canada’s use of fertilizer — the same ruinous strategy that drove Dutch farmers into revolt and destroyed the agriculture of Sri Lanka.

The Toronto Sun reported on a dismaying Friday meeting of federal and provincial ministers, in which the latter could not convince the Trudeau administration to show any "flexibility" in its emissions targets, not even with a global food crisis on the horizon:

Several provincial governments, and organizations representing farmers have asked for emissions reductions from fertilizer to be measured via intensity — how much food is produced compared to the amount of fertilizer used. The Trudeau government is demanding an absolute reduction in emissions, which farmers say will result in less food being produced at a time when the world can ill afford it.

"The world is looking for Canada to increase production and be a solution to global food shortages. The Federal government needs to display that they understand this," Alberta minister Nate Horner said.

"We’re really concerned with this arbitrary goal," Saskatchewan’s David Marit said.

Although Canadian farm organizations warn the Trudeau plan will significantly reduce crops, slash the income of farmers, and increase Canadian grocery prices, Trudeau officials essentially said farmers would get used to their reduced allocation of fertilizers and devise new methods of growing "sustainable food."

The Toronto Sun noted Trudeau’s plan is similar to the one that touched off massive protests from farmers in the Netherlands. The Dutch, in turn, took a page from the "Freedom Convoy" protests against vaccine mandates in Canada, using their farm vehicles to block highways and city roads.

Canada’s Post Millennial (PM) saw the Dutch revolt as "a warning sign to those across the pond in Canada for what might come if Trudeau gets his way."

PM cited reports that estimated Canadian farmers could lose $48 billion by 2030 if Trudeau’s plan is implemented, due to both lost income from reduced crop yields and the increased cost of using "green" fertilizer.

Sudan forces kill at least 1 during protests - Doctors group
[AFRICANEWS] Sudanese security forces killed at least one person while violent mostly peacefully dispersed anti-coup protesters Tuesday in the capital of Khartoum and other cities, a medical group said.

The Sudan Doctors Committee, which is part of the pro-democracy movement, said the protester was rubbed out when security forces gave the demonstrators a whiff of grapeshot in Omdurman, Khartoum’s sister city.

It said the fatality brought the death tally among protesters to at least 118, mostly young people, since the military seized power in October 25 in a globally condemned coup that plunged the country into worsening turmoil.

Thousands of people were maimed in the nearly weekly street protests since the coup, according to the medical group, which tracks casualties among protesters. The coup derailed the country’s transition to democracy following a popular uprising forced the military’s removal of longtime autocrat Omar al-Bashir
...Former President-for-Life of Sudan He came to power in 1989 when he, as a brigadier in the Sudanese army, led a group of officers in a bloodless military coup that ousted the government of Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi and eventually appointed himself head cheese. He fell out with his Islamic mentor, Hasan al-Turabi, tried to impose shariah on the Christian and animist south, resulting in its secessesion, and attempted to Arabize Darfur by unleashing the barbaric Janjaweed on it. Sudan's potential prosperity has been pissed away in warfare that has left as many as 400,000 people dead and 2.5 million displaced. Hee was overthrown by popular consent in 2019. Omar has been indicted for genocide by the International Criminal Court but nothing is expected to come of it...
and his Islamist-allied government in April 2019.

The leading pro-democracy movement, known as the Forces for the Declaration of Freedom and Change, called for Tuesday’s protests to denounce the coup and dayslong tribal festivities in the southern Blue Nile province that killed at least 105 people earlier this month.

Cross-Examining the Climate Change Cultists
[Townhal] An opinion by your favorite attorney, Kurt.
If you want to watch the pinkos fret, simply state the indisputable truth that what they call "climate change" is a massive hoax. Their fallback is inevitably that "science" — which they purport to love except when it demonstrates that there are only men and women and that you can’t change the sex you are born as — has decreed that because we peons insist on not living in caves like primitive tribesmen (okay, non-binary tribespeople) the Earth is going to cook. And, of course, the only solution is to do a whole bunch of things that leftists always wanted to do anyway. There’s no time to think, no time to reflect, and certainly no time to argue. Why, who are you to question the scientists?

Well, I’m a lawyer. I question scientists for a living.

You want a lawyer who, besides making his own case, takes the evidence from the other side and slices and dices it. Cross-examination, it has been said, is the greatest engine for the discovery of the truth man has yet created. And when someone wants to prevent vigorous, even brutal cross-examination of his case, that’s a giveaway that it is weak.

Looking at you, Liz Cheney, you malignant creep.

And I’m looking at the climate change hoax. The weather cultists even have a uniquely dumb and offensive slur for people who dare test their evidence, such as it is: "Denier."
I think I'll print out his 'cross-examination' and carry a copy in my pocket, in case any krazy klimate kultist brings it up.

Rioters Justify Burning Bibles!?

[NYPost] Protesters burned an American flag and a Bible in Portland, Oregon, sparking outrage just as weeks of violent demonstrations seemed to be coming to a close.

For more than 60 days, Black Lives Matter demonstrators, including a “Wall of Moms” and a “Wall of Vets,” have clashed with federal agents in the city, drawing national attention as authorities blasted marchers with tear gas and the civilians at times responded with weapons of their own — such as feces, bleach, bricks or batteries.

Friday night’s demonstrations were largely peaceful, appearing to mark a break from the chaos as federal agents made a recent deal to allow local authorities to handle the protests.

But just after midnight, marchers were caught on video using the flag and holy book as kindling for bonfires lit outside the federal courthouse, which has been a focal point of rioting after the death of George Floyd in police custody in May, according to a news report.

“Left-wing activists bring a stack of Bibles to burn in front of the federal courthouse in Portland,” claimed Ian Miles Cheong on Twitter Saturday.
The post featured a video that showed protesters with “Black Lives Matter” signs tossing Bibles into a raging bonfire. The video, which has gone viral, had more than 1.8 million views and thousands of retweets.

“Now we move to the book burning phase,” said Donald Trump Jr. in a tweet Saturday. “I’m pretty sure ANTIFA doesn’t actually stand for what they say it stands for. Maybe just remove the anti part of [their] name and it’s perfect,” he wrote.

The fire was later put out by members of Moms United for Black Lives Matter, who doused the flames with bottles of water and stomped on the embers, according to KOIN 6, a local CBS affiliate television station in Portland.

Al-Qaeda terrorists heap pressure on Mali's military, 18 toes up in coordinated attacks Wednesday
[AFRICANEWS] Mali's armed forces said, Wednesday, murderous Moslems had simultaneously attacked a military camp located in the western town of Kalumba, and the camp in Sokolo.

The armed forces of Mali also denounced "terrorist infiltration attempts" in "the Hamadoun Bocary Barry camp" as well as an attempt at "the Air Force compound" in the city of Sevaré, central Mali.

In the last few days, the jihadists of the Sahel-based al-Qaeda nebula have stepped up the pressure on the Malian junta, with an unprecedented level of coordination of operations.

This comes at a time of deteriorating security context. The West African country has been plagued by war since 2012 and shaken by two coups d'état in two years (2020, 2021).The Group for the Support of Islam and Moslems (GSIM, JNIM in Arabic), affiliated to al-Qaeda, looks to extending its influence amid the confusion.

One of the lastest major event was the Friday attack on an army building in Kati, a garrison town 15km from Bamako and the heart of Mali's military apparatus where the president of the transitional authorities resides. One soldier was killed in the attack.

It is the first time that such a strategic and symbolic site is targetted. al-Qaeda jihadists had in recent years been targeting security posts in rural and peri-urban areas in Mali's north and centre.

STRATEGIC THREATS
It is a way to tell "(the authorities) that they can strike anywhere, as far away as possible" from their base, said a Malian observer of the security situation in Sévaré (centre).

The day before the Kati attack, six coordinated attacks were launched simultaneously in the centre and south of the country at 5am. A first. These southern regions (Sikasso, Koulikoro, Kayes), formerly spared by the foot soldiers of the jihad, are now a target.

Most of the attacks are claimed by the GSIM, created in 2017 by the merger of several factions: al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (Aqmi, a pioneer of Sahelian jihad, born in Algeria in 2007), the groups Ansar Dine
...a mainly Tuareg group that controlled areas of Mali's northern desert together with Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) and MUJAO in early 2012...

tribe extant in Mali, Niger, and Nigeria, which appeared in 2015 for the purpose of jihading against the farming tribes of Dogon and Bambara. Amadou was reported killed in a French raid, but he arose from the dead sometime around January 2019, to continue jihading as usual...

15 troops, 3 civilians killed in coordinated Mali attacks: Army

[AlAhram] At least 15 soldiers and three non-combatants were killed in coordinated "terrorist" attacks in Mali, the chronically unstable country's army said Wednesday, the latest deadly violence to rock the Sahel state.

In Kalumba, near the Mauritanian border, "the corpse count on the friendly side is 12, including three civilians from a road construction company", the army said in a statement.

The army corpse count in Sokolo, in central Mali, was six with 25 others maimed, five of them seriously.

A third attack, in centrally-located Mopti ended without casualties overnight.

Over the weekend, Mali's army said it had thwarted a new attack on a military camp in the centre of the country, two days after a deadly suicide kaboom in a strategic garrison town near the capital.

The Malian army has intensified its anti-jihadist operations in recent months, relying on what it describes as Russian instructors.

Despite a deteriorating security situation, the junta turned its back on La Belle France and its international partners, instead leaning on Russia to stem the threat posed by jihadists to Mali, as well as Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other...
and Niger.
Deutsche Welle adds:
This was the third attack in a week after al-Qaeda-linked militants set off two car bombs targeting Mali's main military base outside the capital, Bamako, on Friday, a day after a series of insurgent attacks.

In Wednesday's coordinated attacks, three military bases were targeted, according to the army statement.

The army said in a statement that 48 militants were killed in Sonkolo.

China-Japan-Koreas
Nations need to rethink about dependence on Chinese investment
[OneIndia] The observers suggest all those nations, which have been too dependent on the Chinese investment for their growth, may think of diversifying their sources of investment

Once Chinese emperors believed that they had a mandate from heaven to rule the world. In modern times, Chinese Communist rulers seem to have been hardly different in their belief. In his speech on July 1 last year marking the centennial of China's ruling communist party, Chinese President Xi Jinping said, "The Chinese people are not only good at taking down the old world but also good at building a new one." Will China succeed in building a new world, a world in their own image?

Observers say possibilities thereof are bleak. After American President Richard M Nixon embraced then Chinese supremo Mao Zedong in the early seventies and the latter's successor Deng Xiaoping introduced the path of state capitalism in the communist nation, it rose very fast economically. Today it is the second largest economy in the world. Beijing used its economic prowess to invest in different parts of the world and increase its sphere of influence.

Communist China is likely to find it difficult to stick to its path of investing in other nations to increase its influence. Its economy has of late been falling very fast due to "unfavourable domestic and external circumstances."

Communist China's currently much-trumpeted 'Zero-COVID' policy has proved economically disastrous for the nation. The latest data shows its GDP growth slowed to 0.4% in the second quarter compared to a year ago.

The Covid policy has led to a poor employment rate across the country. The unemployment rate for the 16-24 age- group climbed to a record 19.3% last month. This ratio is far higher than what it is in the United States, Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
or Japan.

The observers warn there is little sign of the pandemic ending in the country any time soon. Far from it. As of July 15, there were still 31 cities under full or partial lockdown. Epidemiologists have predicted there may be a wave of at least 10 new variants of the virus in the country.

The situation is alarming. Recently, over 20 provincial-level regions have announced increase in locally transmitted cases. Chengdu in Sichuan has reduced public access to 'confined spaces' in the city. Lanzhou in Gansu has extended restrictions on movement in most districts. The Shanghai government has said that residents in more than half of the city's 16 districts need to be tested for the virus again.

The observers suggest all those nations ̶ India's neighbours, in particular ̶ which have been too dependent on the Chinese investment for their growth, may think of diversifying their sources of investment. Banking on the Chinese investment would be dicey.

When we were in Germany back in the 60's it was fine to cut down or damage a tree.
Has Germany started importing dried wood from another source or has it replenish the forests decimated during WWII.

India-Pakistan
Terror's road map to south India: Infiltrate, migrate, aggravate
[OneIndia] These terror groups come into the southern states, mingle with the migrant population including the Rohingya Moslems, and then overstay with a larger agenda

A highly radicalised person associated with a terror group was arrested by the Bengaluru police on Sunday night. The arrest of Akthar Hussain Lashkar, a resident of Assam, led to the arrest of his associate Zubair from Salem in Tamil Nadu.

The police said that Hussain who was working as a food delivery executive was using his job to understand the topography of the city. He was also in the process of setting up meetings to plan attacks in Karnataka. Now that the Tamil Nadu angle has come up, the police will work closely with the central agencies as there are inter-state ramifications to this case.

The arrest comes just a month after the arrest of Talib Hussain a member of the Hizbul Mujahideen
...Party of Holy Warriors, founded by Muhammad Ahsan Dar in September 1989. One of the Pak sock puppets waging jihad in Indian Kashmir. It was originally organized as the armed wing of Jamaat-e-Islami. In 1990, Dar declared Hizbul as the sword arm of Jamaat. Hizbul murdered many of the pro-independence intelligentsia in Kashmir. After the organization was taken over by Syed Salahuddin Dar and several other ex-Hizb leaders were assassinated between 2001 and 2003...
in Bengaluru. He was arrested from the Okhalipuram area and the police said that he had fled Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
with his wife and children after the hunt for him had intensified.

Hussain had taken shelter in a mosque in the city and would deliver sermons during the Friday prayers.

In 2019 when the National Investigation Agency (NIA) probed a case relating to the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen, Bangladesh (JMB) it had found that Bengaluru had become a happy hunting ground for these terrorists.

Links between the operatives of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala were not uncommon and a pattern was found. Operatives would come in from the north- eastern states after infiltrating from Bangladesh. They would often land up at a migrant camp in Kerala and then enter into states like Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

In 2019 following the arrest of JMB terrorist Habibur Rehman, the NIA learnt that he had traveled from Bengal before going to Bengaluru, Kerala and Chennai. Rehman came to Bengaluru in 2015 and took up a job as a contractor. Prior to his arrest he ha moved to the outskirts of the city to avoid arrest.

Looking at the modus operandi and the investigation files, it has become clear that these persons had a common way of operating. They would come into the southern states, mingle with the migrant population including the Rohingya Moslems and then overstay in the southern states with a larger agenda of carrying out terror attacks.

In August 2019, one Ejaz Ahmed alias Taufique Raza, the emir of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen, Bangladesh was arrested. His team had persons outside Bengal and even set up modules in Bihar, Karnataka and Kerala. He had mainly targeted migrant labour in these places and roped several of them into the module, officials, part of the investigation, also said.

A statistic of 2013 showed that there were around 2.5 million migrant workers in Kerala. Most persons were eager to take in the migrants colonists for work as the labour costs in Kerala is too high.

On 16 March 2017, the Kerala police arrested seven Bangladeshi nationals employed at a plywood factory and charged them with illegal immigration. This is just one of the many cases that was reported from Kerala over the years where several lakhs of Bangladeshis live illegally.

It becomes important to discuss the Kerala scenario in the wake of an Intelligence Bureau report stating that there would be more influx of illegal immigrants colonists into South India after the NRC was published by the Assam government. There are already reports that suggest that the touts in Kerala are already active and would look to facilitate the entry of more such persons into the state.

Officials tell OneIndia that the route into south India would be through Kerala, following which attempts would be made to infiltrate into the other southern states such as Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. They would be brought in as estate labour like has been done in the past, officials say.

Data with the Ministry for Home Affairs states that Kerala has issued nearly 62,000 registration cards to migrant workers. Moreover no real effort has gone in to sort out the illegal immigrants colonists including Rohingyas from the migrants colonists, officials in the Home Ministry say.

House Democrats Tell the DCCC to stop funding Trump Supporters
[NationalReview] Democrats are sounding the alarm over their own party's campaign organization, raising concerns about the morality and strategic wisdom of propping up pro-Trump candidates in GOP primaries.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee received wide-ranging complaints from Democrats after the committee spent $425,000 on a campaign ad to apparently boost pro-Trump Michigan candidate John Gibbs over Representative Peter Miejer, Politico reported.

Miejer voted to impeach Trump but Gibbs, whom the ad says is “too conservative for West Michigan,” is seen as an easier target for Democrats to beat in November. However, propping up the deemed enemy could be dangerous for Democrats’ own messaging that some Republicans are a “threat” to the country, and could backfire if Gibbs wins in the Republican red wave.

Representative Jason Crow (D., Colo.) said propping up pro-Trump candidates is a "terrible idea."

"It’s very dangerous, I think, in this environment to be propping up candidates like that," Crow said, according to Politico.

"Of course, it could backfire. And that’s part of the reason why I don’t think it’s a good idea," he added. "Not only do I think it sends the wrong message, but it’s substantively risky."

Dutch Farmers Block Highways with Manure and Burning Hay to Protest Globalist Climate Agenda
[Breitbart] In an escalation of actions taken in protest against the governments plans to shut down vast swaths of farmlands, Dutch farmers dumped manure on highways across the Netherlands on Wednesday morning.

The Netherlands was left scrambling trying to clear dozens of road blockades, consisting of manure, hay, tyres, and other waste heaped on the roads by supporters of the Dutch farmer protest movement against the globalist government of PM Mark Rutte trying to impose draconian EU-based regulations on nitrogen that could see up to 30 per cent of farms disappear in the country.

As of this reporting there has been no police action taken, despite several of the piles of hay or other blockades being set on fire. According to public broadcaster Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (NOS), a police spokesman said that it would be difficult to ascertain who exactly left the manure or other waste on the highways and that the ministry for public works would be responsible for clearing the roads, so therefore no police action would be taken.

Tensions have previously run hot after police squared off with farmer protesters, with one officer even going so far as to fire his gun at a teenager behind the wheel of a tractor. Though the shots missed, the police force was heavily criticised for the disproportionate use of lethal force.

Condemning the latest round of actions from the farmers on Wednesday, a Ministry of Agriculture spokesman said: “Protesting is only allowed within the limits of the law. That is not this. This is also not the way to progress together,” adding that the government would like to see the farmers come to the negotiating table to air their grievances with the climate goals.

A public works spokesman added that it is a “very undesirable situation,” saying that it could endanger motorists, “not just burning hay bales, but everything on the road that drivers have to swerve for.”

The direct action has reportedly received some support from drivers, with an on the scene reporter for RTV Oos claiming: “Some raise their thumbs. You see sympathy for the actions, but others shake their heads, because it does cause a lot of delay.”

The protests from the farmers comes in response to the attempt by Mark Rutte’s government to implement radical plans to cut nitrogen emissions from livestock in half by the year 2030 in order to satisfy goals laid out in the European Union’s Natura 2000 scheme, which mandates that member states remove industry or farming from areas deemed to be of ecological importance.

Rutte’s government has said that in order to achieve these goals, some farms will need to reduce their emissions by 95 per cent and that 30 per cent of the country’s farmlands should be shut down outright, despite the developing food crisis as a result of the war in Ukraine.

While the Dutch government has cast the move as an “unavoidable transition,” the farmers have argued that they are being unfairly targeted as other EU member states have not been nearly so aggressive in trying to implement the agenda of Brussels.

Speaking to Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM earlier this month, Dutch political commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek said that her country was being used as a testing ground for the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset, saying that “all these policies are out of those institutions and they are being implemented in our country first, we are sort of the pilot country together with Canada for this agenda.”

Vlaardingerbroek said that through by taking power over the food supply, governments will be able to have “full control” over people’s lives “if they can dictate what and when you can or cannot eat,” noting that “Wars have been started over less.”

Biden Threatens Oil Companies' Permits
[TOWNHALL] President Biden warned oil companies last week that if they don’t do more to help address rising prices, he will revoke their drilling permits on federal lands.

While touting that gas prices have fallen to below $4 at 30,000 gas stations across 35 states, he said more needs to be done.

"First, we’re going to look at ways to increase oil production from the existing wells and permits that exist today," he said. "The industry has more approved permits for production on federal lands than they can possibly use. That’s a fact. Let me say it again: They have more than they can use.

"So my message to these companies is: Use the permits or lose them. Don’t say we can’t — you don’t have access," he added.

#1  ...he will revoke their drilling permits on federal lands.

A classic example of political bullshit. If they supposedly have those 'approved permits for production on federal land', then what explains the domestic shortage? Are they in fact extracting oil from said fields? 'Approved permits' but Uncle Joe won't let you extract oil? What / which is it?

I think I could explain things better by talking outta my ass, which is the Biden approach.

Aggressive strategy of US influence on Russia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin
Commentary based on Telegraph.ph article

[ColonelCassad] The July 5, 2022 "Atlantic council" article describes a recommendatory propaganda strategy for the US and allies against Russia, as well as a methodology for exerting psychological influence on citizens.

1. Impact on three main audiences: the Russian people, the military loyal to the President of the Russian Federation and Russia's allies around the world.

2. Using the political apathy of the citizens of the Russian Federation to undermine the current political regime.

3. Geotargeting, propaganda and promotion in social networks of media content of "independent" Russian-speaking sources.

4. "Working with the Russians in such a strategy would open up a new front in the conflict."

5. Promotion of the Western agenda in social networks VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Rutube, Telegram, Instagram* and WhatsApp*.

6. Promoting online circumvention tools sponsored by the USAGM Open Technology Foundation, such as the Icarus Project, OpenVPN, or Psiphon.

7. Provide assistance to media outlets on standby, such as the Ekho Moskvy* radio station, Novaya Gazeta* newspaper, and the independent Dozhd* TV channel Russia..

9. "In the countries of Central Asia, historical mistrust and competition for influence in the region between Russia and China should be taken as a basis."

10. Demoralization of Russian troops with the help of digital systems.

Over 100 Florida Churches File Suit to Leave United Methodist Church
[THEEPOCHTIMES] A schism characterized by documents on "grace through separation" has brought forth a lawsuit.

In Florida, 106 churches are suing the United Methodist Church (UMC) because it charged them large amounts of money to leave, according to a recently filed lawsuit.

The National Center for Life and Liberty (NCLL) represents these churches.

The departure price varies from church to church, according to Jonathan Bailie, chief operations and financial officer of the NCLL.

Some congregations must pay more than $1 million, while others must pay less than $100,000, Bailie said. But in previous decades, leaving the UMC was free.

"Churches have been transferring to other denominations, like the Free Methodists, for decades," he said.

Some of the departing churches owned their buildings before the UMC denomination existed and maintained their buildings without UMC help, the lawsuit states. The denomination still demanded money from these churches.

The churches leaving are conservative, and they’re leaving over procedural and theological issues, Bailie said.

Perhaps the most divisive
...politicians call things divisive when when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled...
of these issues has been the biblical view of homosexuality.

Being a born, raised and married by Methodist preacher. In a family that build from ground up 2 old style Methodist churches after working 12 hours and used weekend to finish it.

Our family and blood relatives all converted to Southern Baptist when the UMC went werid in the late 1970's early 80's.

While I agree each to their own, but keep it to your own. So that is between the person and GOD.

But the Bible and even the Koran both clearly state certain acts are a sin.

So given the UMC 1970+ agenda changes, it no longer follows the bible (the Word of GOD) .

So yes I can understand why many are fleeing the UMC and other Liberalized Chruches pimping GOD for $$$$$$. To attend where the Word Of GOD is still preached and practiced WITHOUT caveats.

Germany: Würzburg knife attacker ordered to psychiatric clinic
“Place him in the Sudden Jihad Syndrome ward, Johann. I miss the days when they were all Napoleons...”
[DW] The man, a Somali refugee, is mentally ill and should be placed in a psychiatric ward, his attorney argued. In June of last year, he was responsible for the deaths of three women in an attack in the center of Wurzburg.

Judge Thomas Schuster of the Wurzburg Regional Court Tuesday ordered a Somali refugee responsible for slaying three women and injuring nine others in a knife attack last year be sent to a psychiatric ward indefinitely following a jury's verdict in the case.
That’s Abdirahman Jibril A. (elsewhere in our archives as Abdirahman J. and Jibril A.), the 24-year old who’d been living in Wuerzburg/Würzburg on the German dime since 2015, and who before this event was sent for psychiatric treatment because he pulled a knife on another resident of the homeless shelter where they were then living...
On June 25, 2021, the man used a kitchen knife to attack pedestrians in Barbarossaplatz in the center of the southern German city of Wurzburg. The killings were carried out in response to voices he was hearing at the time, experts testified at the trial.

The Munich Prosecutor General's office charged the man with three counts of murder and six counts of attempted murder. The verdict is not yet legally binding as the Somali man has the chance to appeal.

The man's lawyer, Tilman Michler, argued in court Monday when the plea was submitted that his client be remanded to a psychiatric facility due to mental illness.

The Chief Public Prosecutor, Judith Henkel, agreed with the assessment in court Monday, asking for the accused to be sent to a psychiatric hospital for an undefined period.

WHAT ELSE IS PUBLICLY KNOWN ABOUT THE CASE?
The man is around 30 years of age, though his exact age is unknown because he arrived in Germany without papers.

Police were able to stop the attack last June by shooting him once in the thigh, enough to subdue him, though he was left with non-life threatening injuries.

Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said at the time of the incident, that the Somali man was receiving psychiatric care and had received attention for "violent mostly peaceful actions or readiness."

Police also said that he was not known to authorities for any bully boy activities.

Wurzburg, located in the southern German state of Bavaria, is around 120 kilometers (74.5 miles) east of Frankfurt.

The trial was held in Estenfeld near Wurzburg to accommodate public interest.
