Iranian president pledges to continue support for Palestians
Some text translated via Google Translate. Edited.

One of the first foreign guests of the new Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi was the head of Hamas, Ismail Haniya.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi says the Islamic Republic will continue to support Palestine as the main issue of the Muslim world.

“We have never had and will never have any doubt about this policy. In our view, Palestine has been and will be the first issue of the Muslim world,” Raeisi said in a Friday meeting with head of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas Ismail Haniyeh, who took part in the swearing-in ceremony of the Iranian president Thursday.

Raeisi commended Haniyeh’s optimistic stance on the liberation of al-Quds and the end of Palestine’s occupation and said “Operation al-Quds Sword” — the Palestinian resistance groups’ 11-day retaliatory rocket and missile launches in response to Israel’s brutal bombing campaign of Gaza in May — showed that a great leap has been made in the fight against the occupiers.

“Today, signs of great victory of the resistant movement have emerged and Operation al-Quds Sword was one of the signs of this victory,” he said.

In Operation Sword al-Quds, he added, the resistance forces tightened the noose on the Zionist enemy in a way that neither the Zionists themselves nor their supporters could even imagine.

Adds Rozhin:

One of the first foreign guests of the new Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi was the head of Hamas, Ismail Haniya.

Raisi also promised to maintain close relations with Hamas and other Palestinian groups that are fighting against the Israeli occupation and the apartheid regime. Iran's close relationship with Hamas is the result of the diplomatic efforts of Qassem Soleimani, who was able to reconcile Hamas and Hezbollah and overcome the aftermath of the Syrian divide, when Hamas openly supported forces in Syria that opposed Bashar al-Assad. Suleimani made sure that all major Palestinian groups accepted the basic principle of the "Axis of Resistance" - the main enemies are the United States and Israel, so Shiites and Sunnis should not be at enmity with each other, weakening themselves in the face of the main enemy of all Muslims. Hamas, although not immediately, adopted this principle,

Regarding the shelling on the Lebanese-Israeli border and the nighttime bombing of Gaza (Israel claims that "fireballs" were launched from Gaza), Hamas said it fully supports Hezbollah's attacks against the Zionist enemy

Apple store removes anti-vaccination dating app, citing policy violations, owners claim censorship
[Just The News] Unjected, an anti-vaccination dating app, has been removed from the Apple Store for violating company policy, a move the app owner says is censorship.

"Apparently we're considered 'too much' for sharing our medical autonomy and freedom of choice," app founder Shelby Thomson says in an Instagram video. "So of course, Apple removed us."

Unjected had been downloaded about 18,000 times.

Apple says the app violated its policies on disinformation.

"Specifically, your social networking app inappropriately refers to the COVID-19 pandemic in its concept or theme," the message from Apple states.

The app founders have filed an appeal to Apple but do not expect the request to be granted.

However, the app is still available on the Google Play Store for android devices.

Unjected being removed Saturday from the Apple store marks at least the second time the company had ran afoul of Apple rules. The first occurred during the review process.

In a failed attempted to not be removed from the Apple store this most recent time, the app founders had urged users to avoid such trigger words as "jabbed" and "microchip."

Infrastructure Bill Comes to Grinding Halt After Amendment Fight
[Breitbart] Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) effort to have the Senate vote on the $1.2 trillion infrastructure fell apart Thursday night after many lawmakers objected.

Schumer wanted to expedite the Senate floor proceedings that could have led to a quick passage of the bill on Saturday; however, Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN) said that he could not consent to the bill’s advancement because of the Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) dismal score of the mammoth, 2,702-page legislation.

“We very much want to finish this important bill, so we will reconvene Saturday at noon to vote [to overcome a filibuster], and then we will follow regular order to finish the bill,” Schumer said Thursday.

A spokesman for Hagerty said the senator “cannot in good conscience agree to expedite a process immediately after the CBO confirmed that the bill would add over a quarter of a trillion dollars to the deficit.”

The CBO found that the infrastructure bill would add $256 billion to the deficit, the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn-Wharton Budget Model found that the bill would have no “significant” impact on economic growth.

Texas Border City Street Commandeered to Hold Migrants
[Breitbart] ROMA, Texas — During the early morning hours Friday, Border Patrol closed an entire city street to accommodate a non-stop stream of migrants coming across the Rio Grande. Breitbart Texas witnessed hundreds emerge from darkness and walk into the city to surrender.

The migrants, mostly family units and unaccompanied children, walked through the dimly lit streets and were directed to a nearby corner closed to the public. The street was effectively commandeered as a temporary outdoor detention and processing area. As migrants provided the Border Patrol with basic information, they were loaded onto buses.

The migrants were mostly Central American, but a few claimed to be from Cuba.

As the Border Patrol struggles with overcrowding in their facilities, they are forced to use areas under bridges or city streets. Many migrants could be seen arriving without masks in groups of more than 100 at a time. Shortly after midnight on Friday morning, more than 200 were sitting in the temporary holding area.

Border Patrol agents on the scene were patiently attempting to deal with the groups as they arrived but were vastly outnumbered.

In a recent interview with Breitbart Texas, incoming Chief of the Border Patrol Raul Ortiz says the Rio Grande Valley Sector is seeing nearly 3,000 apprehensions a day. Chief Ortiz spoke to the challenges faced by the Border Patrol, other federal and state government agencies and local communities due to the increased influx of migrants entering the country illegally.

Tracking Mexico's Cartels in 2021
[STRATFOR] Editor's Note: This security-focused assessment is one of many such analyses found at Stratfor Threat Lens, a unique protective intelligence product designed with corporate security leaders in mind. Threat Lens enables industry professionals and organizations to anticipate, identify, measure and mitigate emerging threats to people, assets, and intellectual property the world over. Threat Lens is the only unified solution that analyzes and forecasts security risk from a holistic perspective, bringing all the most relevant global insights into a single, interactive threat dashboard.

Since 2006, Stratfor has produced a cartel report that examines the forces driving the complicated cartel landscape in Mexico. Beginning with the fragmentation of powerful, time-tested cartels, this task has become increasingly intricate as the number of violent groups in the country continues to rise. The list of all drug trafficking organizations in Mexico is long, so we will highlight the most important groups and evaluate the ways in which they will impact Mexico over the next 18 months in our 2021 annual cartel report, which will be broken up into two parts this year; Threat Lens clients will have access to part two.

LARGELY STATIC CARTEL DRIVERS, FROM 2020 TO 2021 AND BEYOND
Despite pandemic-related changes in the last 18 months — which include U.S. border closures, travel restrictions, lockdowns and curfews — the strategic forces behind cartel violence in Mexico have changed very little since 2020: larger groups continued to fuel local conflicts by controlling trafficking routes and territory through cooperation with local gangs, and in many cases using COVID-19 lockdowns to assert territorial control. Important drivers of violence and insecurity in Mexico in the next 18 months will be cartel revenue streams, political relationships, the U.S.-Mexico security relationship, cartel technological and military capabilities, and cartel rivalries. Criminal groups also will continue to experience fragmentation and infighting that leads to sporadic upticks in violence, such as the events in Reynosa on June 19, when civilians were killed as a result of Gulf Cartel infighting. Other notable cartel-driven risks for the coming 18 months include:

  • Volatility along the U.S.-Mexico border — vital turf for cartel activities including drug- and migrant-smuggling — which could lead to sporadic shutdowns and delays at ports of entry and border crossings.

  • An increased threat of indiscriminate violence in important areas where cartels are vying for control, such as the states of Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacan, Queretaro and Zacatecas.

  • Ongoing extortion and theft threat to businesses that focus on natural resource extraction — such as oil, mining and timber — given the lucrative nature of these businesses.

For all the pandemic-related restrictions on movement, cartel-related violence remained very high by historic measures, with the number of homicides declining only 0.4% from 2019's record high of 34,648 homicides. Despite significant investments in various security measures, since 2018 Mexico's homicides effectively plateaued at their highest level, further underscoring the cartels' sustained influence nationwide. The two largest cartels remain Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG) and the Sinaloa Cartel.

Confrontations between them — and between them and a variety of local militias, smaller cartels and Mexico's security forces — drive ongoing violence and broader insecurity. While the CJNG and Sinaloa attract the most attention, smaller groups play important roles in localized conflicts, such as how Sinaloa-aligned Carteles Unidos combats CJNG advances in the state of Michoacan. While smaller groups like Knights Templar, La Familia Michoacana, Los Viagras, Los Rojos and the Juarez Cartel do not have the kind of national presence of some of their rivals, they serve as important proxies for larger, national-level criminal organizations and perennial sources of local violence and insecurity in their areas of operation.

DEMAND FOR DRUGS AND CARTEL REVENUE STREAMS
As we have highlighted since the 2018 report, fentanyl continues to play a large role in drug trafficking, something evident in the 70% increase in border seizures of synthetic stimulants from October 2019 to September 2020. This is despite consumer lifestyle changes brought on by the pandemic that saw a slight turn away from stimulants, and toward drugs like marijuana and fentanyl due to nightlife closures. It is expected that as restrictions on bars and clubs are lifted and inoculation rates go up, so will demand for stimulants like cocaine and meth. In 2020, drug overdose deaths in the United States hit a record high, up 29% from the previous year. Of these overdose deaths, 60% were due to synthetic opioids, specifically fentanyl, suggesting that cartels are continuing to expand their synthetic opioid lab operations in Mexico. The rise in fentanyl's popularity can be attributed to its potency for consumers and profitability for cartels. Fentanyl is 50 times more potent than heroin, meaning that the user's high is much more intense. We estimate that cartels made approximately $14 billion on fentanyl sales in 2019. Based on profitability alone, the move toward fentanyl makes sense. Cartels find the production and trafficking of synthetic drugs, such as fentanyl, easier compared to much bulkier, lower value cannabis.

While drug trafficking continues to be the main source of revenue for — and conflict among — Mexican cartels, other revenue streams also offer lucrative profits and can often lead to violent disputes. As illegal migration increases from Mexico and Central America to the United States, human smuggling, which depending on the country of origin can cost anywhere from $1,300 to $10,000 per person, has become an increasingly important cartel activity. Cartels have exploited this practice to supplement revenue from drug trafficking and assert dominance along the U.S.-Mexico border. Other criminal economies frequently exploited by Mexico's cartels include illegal mining — which is estimated to consume 10% of the country's total mining activities — and oil theft, which is estimated to have hit a total of $3 billion in losses for Petroleos Mexicanos, the state-owned petroleum company. While drug trafficking remains important in rural areas, these particular criminal activities often increase violence, especially in smaller towns where the local economy is limited to natural resource extraction. The central Guanajuato town of Celaya had the highest per capita homicide rate in the country in 2020: 109 per 100,000 inhabitants (compared to a national rate of 13 per 100,000) due to fighting between the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel and the CJNG over fuel theft and the control of the sale of methamphetamines.

    POLITICS
Cartels have long exploited the Mexican political system to gain access to protection from elected officials, increase their staying power and derive a host of other benefits that come from political connections and leverage. The Sinaloa Cartel, in particular, has historically proved adept at maintaining strategic relationships with government officials, allowing the cartel's members to avoid clashes with security forces and generally forestall serious government scrutiny. Reflecting the importance cartels attach to political influence and driven by legislative elections in June for the lower house of the Mexican Congress, cartel violence against political candidates in 2021 increased to its second-highest point since the 2000 elections. Given the importance of establishing subnational control of a given state — such as Guerrero, where political violence has especially spiked — cartels are likely to target traditionally less politically prominent municipalities where they can operate more freely without a significant state security presence. Increased violence targeting politicians in order to install cartel-backed candidates will improve criminal groups' abilities to operate behind the scenes and manipulate political forces to sustain their criminal activity. Following the recent electoral success of cartel-backed candidates in states such as Guerrero, it is likely that increased violence in and around elections will be regularized moving forward, particularly if it is shown to bring tangible benefits.

While cartels benefit from political relationships, they still face routine pressure from Mexican security forces at all levels of government. In the past, this pressure has been bolstered by a strong working relationship between Mexican security forces and U.S. authorities sharing intelligence useful for targeting cartels. Following the U.S. arrest of two high-level Mexican officials in 2020 on allegations of assisting cartels, however, the relationship between Mexican security forces and U.S. counterparts has suffered. The decrease in bilateral engagement in the last year has created an intelligence gap within Mexico's security services that could usher in increased cartel activity throughout the country.

    TECHNOLOGICAL AND MILITARY CAPABILITIES
While cartel technology has not changed significantly in the last 18 months, the increasingly militaristic capabilities of Mexico's cartels are of particular importance in analyzing and helping to explain growing violence. Los Zetas was the first criminal group in Mexico to have direct links to past U.S. military training, as members of the group were former members of Mexico's security apparatus. Since then, this trend has continued to spread throughout Mexico's cartels and has helped to catalyze the paramilitary nature of groups like the CJNG. Aside from providing obvious boosts to cartels' violent capabilities, such militarism can provide propaganda to intimidate rivals, security forces and local citizens. For instance, in a propaganda video released by CJNG in July 2020, group members dressed in tactical uniforms with flak jackets labeled "CJNG," holding automatic rifles and driving armored trucks with mounted weapons that have come to be known as "monsters."

As they have expanded their paramilitary capabilities, cartels have continued to make advances in their use of weaponized drones to target enemies, as seen in an April 2021 incident in the Michoacan town of El Aguaje, where CJNG targeted state police with drone-dropped bombs. While such weapons have not yet shown themselves to be especially lethal, they add yet another threat vector for already out-gunned law enforcement officers when responding to cartel-related activity. Even if not tactical game-changers, cartels' further use of drones could be psychologically effective and deter future law enforcement responses in ways that amplify cartels' sense of impunity. As perceptions that being armed like rogue militaries brings comparative benefits, it is likely that a growing array of violent groups beyond the largest cartels will begin to mimic such trends, which will increase the likelihood and lethality of violence amid a potential arms race among violent groups.

America's Generals Lied, Lost Wars, And Looted The People They Claimed To Serve
[Federalist] Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told Congress in June that he wanted to understand "white rage," why "thousands of people" tried "to assault this building and ... overturn the Constitution of the United States of America."

If Milley really wants to understand the "rage" of the American people he should start by asking why he and his fellow generals can’t win any wars. As a Marine Corps officer who served at the tail end of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, I saw firsthand the rapid ideological transformation pervading the military in the wake of these disasters in the Middle East.

Unable to win wars overseas, the military’s leaders went "woke." Currying ideological favor is easier than trying to end insurgencies. It is also necessary if military leaders want to keep the gravy train of taxpayer funding. Donald Trump’s America First foreign policy and his devastating critique of George Bush and Barack Obama in the run-up to the 2016 election put the military-industrial complex on high alert. Trump was pushing the American right-wing away from the expensive and unending foreign interventions the military-industrial complex needed in order to justify its existence.

For too long, America’s generals have relied on a "stab in the back" thesis to justify their failure on the battlefield. The narrative set in after Vietnam and has calcified today. Former national security adviser and Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster tweeted on July 8 in regards to the sweeping march of the Taliban that the "US media is finally reporting on the transformation of Afghanistan after their disinterest and defeatism helped set conditions for capitulation and a humanitarian catastrophe."

McMaster’s attempt to deflect blame for military failure on an insufficiently obsequious media is unacceptable. He and his fellow generals knew full well that Afghanistan was unstable and that our strategy wasn’t working. Instead of speaking up, they lied to the public and then jumped into the private sector to reap the reward of misbegotten trust.

Milley and his fellow generals deserve, richly, to feel the full weight of the American people’s anger. For 20 years, these leaders lied consistently to the American people and their political masters about the wars in the Middle East. In December 2019, Craig Whitlock of the Washington Post published a devastating series of articles on America’s failure in Afghanistan. Using 600 "lessons learned" interviews with top military staff and diplomatic personnel collected by the Special Inspector General of Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR), Whitlock illustrated just how pervasive the gut rot in America’s military really was.

#10  To me the emblem of our later years in Afghanistan was COP Keating, which was the subject of the movie "The Outpost" and a couple of books ("Red Platoon", etc.) There was high ground and low ground. We built the outpost on the low ground so we could help the Afghan villagers (half of whom were Taliban and the other half grifters.) But giving up the high ground was militarily nuts, and the Taliban eventually used the high ground to launch an attack that came within a hair of wiping out the outpost, and failed only because of the extreme heroism of individual American soldiers and US airpower.

If we had to be in that part of Afghanistan for some reason I can't see, an alternative strategy would have been to occupy the high ground and build a pyramid of skulls on the low ground. The locals would have understood that.

Bill Clinton was the first U.S. president who used that same strategy. He is reported as having said he chose Gen. Shalikashvili for chairman JCS precisely because he was incompetent and would be more pliable as a result.

Obama and Biden have done the same thing. There is an article about the number of generals and admirals force to resign by Obama (usually for sexual misconduct). The number of Admirals is truly astounding.

In my opinion, the subject of this article shows very clear association with this subject. A 78 year old North American male has an 11% chance for developing dementia.

Evidence that Life Expectancy Calculators for Dementia Actually Work. It turns out that the length of time a person has before needing full-time care, before moving into a care community, and before dying can all be predicted somewhat accurately. This information, though not definitive, can help families get a general understanding of how to plan for the future and what to expect as the disease progresses.

Biden's 'seasonal migration' cover story for the border now fully in the crapper
[Politco] President Joe Biden in March wrote off a spike in the number of migrants arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border as a result, at least in part, of winter months being the safest time to make the trek. "It happens every single, solitary year," he said.

Six months into his term, Biden and his team are being proved wrong.

The number of migrants apprehended at the border isn’t going down this summer, even as the heat makes the journey to the U.S. more dangerous. Instead, it has reached a 21-year high — and there’s a record number of unaccompanied children arriving, too.

As the administration, local officials, border agents and nonprofit leaders grapple with the day-to-day logistical challenges of apprehending and processing or expelling thousands of migrants, U.S. officials and immigration experts say they have theories but no concrete explanations for why the increase is happening now. Many see it as a confluence of destabilizing conditions, some new, some long-standing: a still-raging pandemic, worsening economic crisis and devastation from past natural disasters.

Stacey Abrams, Michelle Obama Push for Federal Election Takeover Legislation
[Breitbart] Failed Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and former first lady Michelle Obama have teamed up to push for legislation to advance the federal takeover of elections, eliminating voter ID laws.

A new video from Abrams’ Fair Fight Action and Obama’s When We All Vote, a group created in 2018, was released Thursday and features Abrams and Obama pushing for legislation that would allow for the federal takeover of elections, saying "We’re working to change the future of this nation."

"Our democracy and our vote — the very foundation of this nation and the most powerful tools we have as citizens are under attack," Abrams said in the video, which runs nearly two minutes.

"Right now, dangerous legislation is being proposed across the country that limits the freedom to vote, cast our ballots, and have our votes counted," Obama said.

#6  Using some Liberal Logic to make a point.

If you must have a Covid-19 Vaccine passport to roam semi-freely in far left control areas. Given to get a Covid-19 Vaccine injection you must have a State Approved ID. In order to verify you are the one getting the vaccine, so the correct name is listed on the Covid-19 Vaccine passport.

But since Liberals tell us with 100% certainty, Voter ID discriminates against only Black Americans which can't find an ID to vote.

Then aren't the liberals racially discriminating against Black Americans and hindering their ability to get vaccinated?

Bill Gates Speaks Out About His Relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, 'seeking money, not sechs'
[Western Journal] Microsoft Corporation co-founder and billionaire Bill Gates says he was not looking for love in all the wrong places when he hung out with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

    Only money.

"It was a huge mistake to spend time with him, to give him the credibility of being there," Gates said during an interview with CNN on Wednesday, when the subject of their palling around was broached.

Gates told CNN host Anderson Cooper that connecting with Epstein, who was facing accusations of sex trafficking when he died in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019, was a high-minded attempt to secure funding for his health care projects.

"I had several dinners with him, you know, hoping that what he said about getting billions of philanthropy for global health through contacts that he had might emerge," Gates said.

'We want trillions to heal our wounds
[BBC] In between the blue water of the Atlantic Ocean and the luscious golden dunes of the Namibian coast are the grounds of a former German concentration camp.

It was here at the start of the 20th Century where the Ovaherero and Nama people were subjected to sexual violence, forced labour and gruesome medical experiences. Many died of disease and exhaustion.

Uahimisa Kaapehi says his heart is heavy standing on the remains of his ancestors.

He is an ethnic Ovaherero descendent who is also a town councillor in the city of Swakopmund, where many of the atrocities took place.

Mr Kaapehi explains what happened generations ago still has a profound impact on his livelihood.

"Our wealth was taken, the farms, the cattle, everything, I was not supposed to suffer this as I'm talking," he says.

Women's Prison Dealing With 'Wave of Pregnancies' in Wake of California's 'Compassionate' Trans Law
[PJ] I used to work in a cube farm and every morning I would join the throng of depressed commuters inching their way down the long gray ribbon of death to the office. I was in the habit of stopping off for a Coke on my way to work. Yes, I know all about the dangers of colas, but I like an early morning dose of cold caffeine to jolt me into starting my day. There was a convenience store near the on-ramp where I used to stop for my daily fix. One day, there was a new face in the revolving cadre of clerks. It was a young woman who was wearing two buttons. One said, "Ask me about my pronouns." The other read, "He/His" Obviously, she identified as a man and wanted to make sure that I knew that.

Aside from wondering why anyone would want to become a white man in 21st-century America, I also wondered why this person thought I needed to know that. I was there to give her $2.04 for a bottle of a delicious caffeinated beverage, not help her sort out her personal issues. If she had decided that she was a man, that was her business, not mine. The entire span of our relationship was about three minutes and even if it had been longer, I had a mortgage, bills, and a job for which I was running late. A person’s pronouns and gender are their own business and, quite frankly, I don’t have time to worry about it.

I have no doubt that she was very earnest and sincere and I wish her the best of luck in whatever she does and whatever gender/species/element she finally decides she is. But it illustrates something about the Left. When leftists aren’t nosing into your life, they are trying to make you live their lives—something they’ve accused the right of doing for years.

One thing I learned about leftists, having apprenticed in the craft from a very young age, is that the key to a positive progressive self-image is to force someone else to live with the results of the decisions you make. Never mind that the effect those decisions may have on that person’s life. By compelling someone else, often with less power and money, to do something the leftists want, they can comfort themselves in the fact that they took the high road and made a positive difference in the world, even if it is by proxy.

For example, there is a report from the Women’s Liberation Front or WoLF, of a woman incarcerated in the Central California Women’s Facility who is pregnant. This, of course, would be the result of state laws that let biological male inmates transfer to women’s prisons, provided these men identify as transgender. The law, SB132, took effect in January. Since then, 261 men have asked to be moved to the women’s facilities. WoLF said in a tweet: "Conditions are described as ’a nightmare’s worst nightmare’ by women incarcerated in California after the passage of @Scott_Wiener’s SB 132. Now, the system is bracing for a wave of pregnancies and increased violence in the facilities. #StopSB132."

‘Preppers' Quietly Stock Up for the ‘Perfect Storm'
[ET] A crippling ice storm that left Travis Maddox and thousands of other Missouri residents without power in 2007 had an "almost apocalyptic feel to it."

"No one could move. It just shut the whole region down for two weeks. I wasn’t as prepared as I thought," said Maddox, a burly man of 43, sporting a long black beard, T-shirt, cargo pants, and baseball cap, while tending his garden.

Those two weeks made Maddox realize that being prepared—"prepping," as it’s called today—was the key to a life of self-reliance and personal freedom.

As an Eagle Scout, he never forgot the Boy Scout motto: Be prepared.

"To me, the ultimate level of prepping is being self-sufficient. You’re still being modern, but you’re in control," Maddox told The Epoch Times on Aug. 5.

In 2009, Maddox launched his YouTube channel, "The Prepared Homestead," which now has over 32,000 subscribers.

People, he said, are waking up to the worsening reality of supply chain disruptions and food shortages, and rapid political and social changes that all point toward "a perfect storm" just ahead.

#12  Away for the weekend with friends who work at a food factory — she’s QA, he’s a plant engineer. Since their state was shut down, they’ve been running with decreasing personnel due to a combination of quarantined and quitting workers. They’ve hired 220 but 225 quit, so the hourly line workers are working twelve hour shifts twenty days straight before they can ask for a single day off when the production schedule allows — generally getting one no sooner than another week in the future. It’s gotten so bad that the company is bringing in a bilingual personnel manager from the Mexico organization so they can start hiring from local Spanish-speaking population — which may or may not be in the country legally — and of course that will require translating all the training and procedures manuals into Spanish in the midst of this nonsense. My friends are in their early sixties, and also not happy about the long hours...

    -War on Police-
Stunning! New Floyd Case Exhibit Confirms Witness Coercion
[American Thinker] On July 29, District Court Judge Peter Cahill, the presiding judge in the trials of the four Minneapolis police officers indicted for the death of George Floyd, ordered the release of an exhibit memorandum that reveals a miscarriage of justice and criminal coercion of a witness.

Dr. Roger Mitchell, the former deputy mayor and medical examiner of the District of Columbia and now the Chief of Pathology at Howard University Medical School, a traditional Black medical school, boldly intimidated and coerced Hennepin County Medical Examiner Dr. Andrew Baker into changing critical conclusory language in his autopsy report on the death of George Floyd.

The exhibit is a written summary of Mitchell’s commentary and some admissions of coercion that he volunteered to Minnesota Attorney General Office prosecutors in November 2020. Mitchell’s perfidious conduct is discussed in this excellent article by Jack Cashill.

Dr. Andrew Baker, an experienced and well-regarded Chief Medical Examiner for Hennepin County, conducted an autopsy on Mr. Floyd on May 26, 2020, the day after his death, and reported later that day, "The autopsy revealed no physical evidence suggesting that Mr. Floyd died of asphyxiation or that excessive force was used in the restraint performed by the officers led by Officer Chauvin.

Three days later, on Friday, May 29, prosecutors elaborated on the cause of death in posting their initial complaint against Derek Chauvin. According to the complaint, "The full report of the [medical examiner] is pending but the [medical examiner] has made the following preliminary findings. The autopsy revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation."

The autopsy did show, however, that Floyd had severe heart disease, coronary artery disease, and an enlarged heart from high blood pressure. These conditions put Mr. Floyd at risk for sudden death from cardiac arrhythmia -- an abnormal ineffective lethal heartbeat.

Learn to live with mutating coronavirus, top Chinese virologist says
[South China Post] Top Chinese virologist Shi Zhengli has renewed calls for the public to get vaccinated against the coronavirus, saying the pathogen will continue to mutate and the world must prepare to coexist with it.

In a report on Wednesday by Health Times, under state-run People’s Daily, Shi called on the public to not hesitate to get vaccinated.

"As the number of infected cases has just become too big, this allowed the novel coronavirus more opportunities to mutate and select. New variants will continue to emerge," Shi said.

Head of the centre for emerging infectious diseases at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Shi has become the subject of intense speculation including a conspiracy theory that the Covid-19 may have escaped from a Chinese lab.

For this fear of death is indeed the pretence of wisdom, and not real wisdom, being the appearance of knowing the unknown; since no one knows whether death, which they in their fear apprehend to be the greatest evil, may not be the greatest good. Is there not here conceit of knowledge, which is a disgraceful sort of ignorance?

Apple will scan all U.S. iPhones for illegal child abuse imagery, prompting privacy concerns
[Just The News] Apple plans to scan all iPhone in the U.S. for potential child abuse imagery.

The move announced Thursday generated shock waves among security experts who say it could allow the company to surveil many millions of phones for reasons unrelated to images of child abuse.

"This sort of tool can be a boon for finding child pornography in people's phones. But imagine what it could do in the hands of an authoritarian government," tweeted Johns Hopkins professor and cryptographer Matthew Green.

The Big Tech company says the new scanning technology will be a part of iOS 15, which is set for release this month. It is part of a number of new child protection programs being initiated by the company that will "evolve and expand" over time.

In a blog post, the company wrote, "This innovative new technology allows Apple to provide valuable and actionable information to [the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children] and law enforcement regarding the proliferation of known CSAM," — an acronym for child sex abuse material.

    -Great Cultural Revolution
Various US court systems have mixed responses to the re-imposition of eviction moratorium
[WKBN] Court decisions affect Ohio renters as new CDC eviction moratorium faces legal doubts.

President Joe Biden may have averted a flood of evictions and solved a growing political problem when his administration reinstated a temporary ban on evictions because of the COVID-19 crisis. But he left his lawyers with legal arguments that even he acknowledges might not stand up in court.

The new eviction moratorium announced Tuesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention could run into opposition at the Supreme Court, where one justice in late June warned the administration not to act further without explicit congressional approval.

The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which encompasses Tennessee, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio, ruled in late July in a separate lawsuit that CDC lacks the authority to issue pauses on eviction. And the CDC order itself says it does not apply “to the extent its application is prohibited by federal court order.”

As a result, Barbara Peck, a spokeswoman for the Tennessee state court system, said Wednesday that lawyers for courts in her state had “advised that it is not applicable in Tennessee.”

Two large Ohio court systems on Thursday issued conflicting decisions regarding the new moratorium. In Franklin County, home to state capital Columbus, County Administrative Judge Ted Barrows said the moratorium wouldn’t be enforced based on last month’s 6th Circuit decision.

But in Cuyahoga County, home to Cleveland, the new moratorium will be enforced, according to a release from the office of Housing Court Judge Mona Scott, who noted the county has the second-highest coronavirus transmission level in Ohio.

Landlords from Alabama whose bid to lift the earlier pause on evictions failed returned to federal court in Washington late Wednesday, asking for an order that would allow evictions to resume.

The administration is counting on differences between the new order, scheduled to last until Oct. 3, and the eviction pause that lapsed over the weekend to bolster its legal case. At the very least, as Biden himself said, the new moratorium will buy some time to protect the estimated 3.6 million Americans who could face eviction from their homes.

Some legal scholars who doubt the new eviction ban will stand up say its legal underpinnings are strikingly similar to the old one.

“Meet the new moratorium, same as the old moratorium!” Ilya Somin, a George Mason University law professor who backed Biden over former President Donald Trump last year, wrote on Reason.com.

Nicholas Bagley, a University of Michigan law professor, said he expects landlords “all over the country to turn immediately to the courts in an effort to secure a preliminary injunction,” an order that would effectively allow evictions to resume.

The basic legal issue is whether the CDC has the authority in the midst of a public health crises to impose a pause on evictions, under existing federal law that dates to 1944.

U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich ruled in May the CDC exceeded its power under that law, a decision Bagley called “measured and sensible.” But Friedrich kept her ruling in favor of the Alabama landlords on hold pending appeal.

In June, the Supreme Court voted 5-4 to allow the moratorium to remain in place through the end of July, even though one justice in the majority, Brett Kavanaugh, wrote that he believed CDC lacked authority to order it. Extending the moratorium any further, Kavanaugh wrote, would be possible only with “clear and specific congressional authorization (via new legislation).”

In the landlords’ new court filing, lawyer Brett Shumate wrote that “the CDC caved to the political pressure by extending the moratorium, without providing any legal basis.” The administration has until early Friday to respond.

Congress has not acted. Neither the House nor Senate had the votes for a temporary extension, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not so much as hint Tuesday that she would try to move legislation through the House.

And they do indeed follow his orders when he tells them to do something Iran already ordered.

Kataib Hezbollah is another Iraqi PMF group, though they spent more time in Iraq fighting ISIS, mostly returning to attacking American bases in Iraq after ISIS was dealt with. Both groups started out fighting the Coalition on the Iran payroll in the years after the second Iraq War.

US announces temporary 'safe haven' for Hong Kong residents
[DW] US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant... or is that an act?...
said the "significant erosion" of rights and "politically motivated arrests" were behind the move. Hong Kong residents in the US can now extend their stay.

President Joe Biden on Thursday offered Hong Kong residents living in the United States an 18-month extension to their visas to provide them with "a safe haven" from Beijing's crackdown in the territory.

In a statement, the White House said the "politically motivated arrests" of politicians, activists and journalistsshowed a "significant erosion" of rights and freedoms.

Last week, Tong Ying-kit, 24, became the first person to be convicted in Hong Kong under a controversial national security law. He was sentenced to nine years in prison.

    WHAT DID BIDEN SAY?
Under the new measure, most of the Hong Kongers living in the US will be able to apply for visa extensions that will also give them the right to work.

Biden cited Beijing's crackdown on pro-democracy protests in 2019 and erosion of rights in Hong Kong as a reason for the measure.

"Over the last year, the PRC [People's Republic of China] has continued its assault on Hong Kong's autonomy, undermining its remaining democratic processes and institutions, imposing limits on academic freedom, and cracking down on freedom of the press," the White House statement read.

"Offering safe haven for Hong Kong residents who have been deprived of their guaranteed freedoms in Hong Kong furthers United States interests in the region."

White House press secretary Jen Psaki
...a valley girl who woke up one morning and found she was spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of State under Obama. A new American success story, under Biden she became spokeswoman for the whole administration, and she was even able to get her sister a job...
added: "This action demonstrates President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing......
's strong support for people in Hong Kong in the face of ongoing repression by the People's Republic of China, and makes clear we will not stand idly by as the PRC breaks its promises to Hong Kong and to the international community,"

Psaki said the US would continue to "support of people in Hong Kong" in the future.

WHAT IS THE SITUATION IN HONG KONG?
US relations with China worsened after a trade war that intensified under former President Donald Trump
...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party...
Hong Kong saw mass pro-democracy protests in 2019 against a new law that would have allowed for extraditions to mainland China.

Protests were quelled by Hong Kong police leading to the arrest of hundreds of activists and journalists in the aftermath. Over 10,000 people in total have been arrested due to anti-government protests, according to the White House.

In June 2020, Hong Kong's government passed a controversial national security law that has allowed for the arrest of over 100 opposition politicians and activists.

The closure of the pro-democracy Apple Daily newspaper and a reshuffle to the Hong Kong Legislative Council have also heightened tensions.

As a result of the measures in Hong Kong, the US government issued more sanctions on Chinese officials in the former British colony. China reacted with sanctions of its own on US officials, including former Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.

    Afghanistan
Helmand, Jawzjan Capitals Face Heavy Fighting in 24 Hours
[ToloNews] In a shift of their attention from rural areas to capital cities, the Taliban
    ...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
conducted heavy attacks on the centers of Lashkargah city in Helmand
...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan...
and Sheberghan city in Jawzjan province in the last 24 hours, entering some key government facilities.

In Jawzjan, the group made some progress until Friday afternoon, but soon they were pushed back from the city.

The Defense Ministry in a statement late on Friday evening said the center of Sheberghan city was retaken by Afghan troops -- who were supported by Air Force and the local forces loyal to former vice president Abdul Rashid Dostum
...ethnic Uzbek warlord who distinguished himself fighting the Soviets and the Taliban. The story that he had a bad guy run over with a tank is an exaggeration. It was an armored personnel carrier...
Jawzjan politicians said that heavy fighting was underway near the police headquarters, the office of the intelligence agency, the National Directorate of Security
    ...the Afghan national intel agency...
(NDS), and the governor’s office in Sheberghan.

Mawlavi Abdul Hai, a member of the Jawzjan provincial council, said the security agencies are not paying the required attention to the province.

"Jawzjan is also part of the geography of Afghanistan," he said.

"The soldiers who fought for three or four months in Jawzjan were killed or maimed today. For God's sake, when you will address the issue of Sheberghan?" said MP Halima Sadaf Rahimi.

In Helmand, meanwhile, fighting continues in Lashkargah city’s District 1. Videos on social media show shops have caught fire in the ongoing festivities between government forces and the Taliban.

"What the central government is doing? Stop the violence," said Mahmoud Khan, a civil society activist in Helmand.

"Civilians have been killed there. Government forces have been killed. Taliban have been killed, but no one is there to address this problem," said Akhtar Mohammad, a presidential adviser.

Taliban attacked Lashkargah city a week ago, but the Afghan Special Forces
...established in 2007 with the intent of taking one conventional infantry kandak (battalion) from each of the regional ANA corps, giving them special training and equipment, and reorganizing based on the U.S. Army Rangers. Each battalion is assigned to one of the six regional corps. The commandos comprise 7% of the Afghan National Security Forces but conduct 70% to 80% of the fighting...
launched an operation to repel their attack.

Helmand residents said there has been no progress in the operations in terms of pushing back the Taliban from strategic areas in the city.

"Afghan forces conducted air and ground operations in Jawzjan and Helmand. Our operations will continue," Defense Ministry front man Rohullah Ahmadzai said.

The Defense Ministry said that 406 Taliban fighters 209 more were maimed in Afghan forces operations in various parts of the country in the last 24 hours. Taliban has rejected the claim.

There were casualties among security forces as well. Sources said that at least 10 security force members, including a security officer for Farah, were killed in the province.

Moreover, five non-combatants were killed in a mortar attack in Maidan Wardak district, local sources said. The government blamed the Taliban for the attack.

Biden nominates Clyburn's daughter to federal commission on poverty
    [WASHINGTONTIMES] President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem mschine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family......
has nominated a daughter of House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn
...Democratic Representative-for-Life from South Carolina. He has been warming his safe seat since 1993...
, one of his key allies in Congress, to a seat on a federal commission aimed at addressing poverty in the southeastern U.S.

The president appointed Jennifer Clyburn Reed as federal co-chair of the Southeast Crescent Regional Commission, which was created in 2008 and received a large boost in federal funding in the current fiscal year.

Mr. Clyburn, a South Carolina Democrat whose endorsement is credited with helping Mr. Biden to win a crowded presidential primary in 2020, has often spoken of his daughter someday taking his place in Congress. Her nomination must be confirmed by the Senate.

The seven-state regional commission covers parts of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia and was created to address economic distress across the region.

But the commission has been inactive, according to a recent report by the Congressional Research Service, because it lacked a federal co-chair to form a quorum and make decisions.

"It has received regular appropriations of $250,000 annually from FY2010 through FY2020, but it has not been able to form due to the absence of an appointed federal co-chair," the CRS report stated. "However,
a person who gets all wrapped up in himself makes a mighty small package...
for FY2021, the SCRC was appropriated a substantial increase of $1 million."

Ms. Reed, who has worked as an educator, told a local newspaper earlier this year that she’s ready for a life in politics.

#4  Meet the Clyburn daughter hoping to succeed her father — it’s not who you think

The Clyburn daughter interested in taking her father’s spot in Congress is escorting U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris around Columbia’s Vista business district on Saturday for the 2020 presidential candidate’s latest visit. The same daughter also hosted other White House hopefuls this month — walking with U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand at Columbia’s weekly street market and toasting former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper at a Columbia brewery.

After 25 years of teaching in elementary and middle schools, Jennifer Clyburn Reed says she’s ready for a life in politics, though she is unsure about her next step.

“There is one office that I know a little bit more than others,” Reed said after hosting a women’s voter brunch for Gillibrand. “People are like, ‘You can start small,’ and I’m like, ‘I don’t know too much about those.’ That learning curve (for Congress) won’t be as much for me as it would be for someone else.”
    Jennifer Clyburn Reed and Gillibrand

Jennifer Clyburn Reed (left) walks with U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., in Columbia’s Soda
And she does have a good mentor.

“She is the one that most of my friends say would be the best,” said Jim Clyburn, who is in his 27th year in Congress. “They keep telling me how engaging she is. What a pleasant demeanor she has. One guy said to me she melts you away with her smile.

“She has tremendous presence. I bet I have heard a hundred people tell me that she’s a natural.”

Reed’s younger sister, Angela, the grassroots director for the S.C. Democratic Party, says she is happy “to be in the background and being supportive” for her family.

Reed, 49, learned about policy from weekly Saturday breakfasts with her sisters and father when the congressman came home from Capitol Hill. Reed would share how she thought criminal justice was destroying black families and point out the flaws of the No Child Left Behind education initiative, Clyburn said.

...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...

They learnt this stuff in college, you know...
said it would completely withdraw US troops from the country.

Taliban attacked the bustling provincial capital on Thursday night. Their attacks were followed by hundreds of residents of the city, flocking towards the border with Iran, in a desperate search for safety.

There are also reports that government assets were looted in different parts of the city.

Reports say that the Taliban after capturing Kanak district in Nimroz brutally executed at least 30 soldiers. But the Taliban have rejected the allegations, saying the soldiers were killed during festivities.

"All people including women and kiddies had flocked there," said a resident in Nimroz, referring to an attempt by hundreds of Nimroz residents to cross the border to Iran.

A video from Nimroz shows that several bodies purportedly of the government forces lying on the ground. The Taliban reportedly tortured the soldiers, maimed them and took out their eyes before killing them.

    organization.

"The rejection of all these killings on the battlefields doesn’t acquit them (Taliban) from responsibility," said Zabihullah Farhang, a front man for Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission.

Nimroz has five districts of which three are completely under the control of the Taliban.

    Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Palestinian said killed by IDF live fire during clashes near illegal outpost
[IsraelTimes] Emad Dweikat, 37, was reported shot during a protest against flashpoint Evyatar outpost near Nablus; despite gov’t-backed deal for settlers to leave site, area continues to seethe.

A Paleostinian was shot and killed during festivities with Israeli soldiers during a protest near the West Bank town of Beita, the Paleostinian Authority health ministry reported.

It said local resident Emad Ali Dweikat, 37, was killed during a weekly protest march against an illegal Israeli outpost, known as Evyatar, built on a hilltop overlooking Beita. Dweikat was rushed to a hospital in nearby Nablus but died shortly thereafter.

The Paleostinian Red Islamic Thingy said an additional 59 people were treated for injuries, including one hit by live fire and 20 with rubber bullets. The rest were from tear gas inhalation.

According to the Israeli military, Friday’s protests saw Paleostinians clash violent mostly peacefully with Israeli soldiers, throwing stones and rolling flaming tires at troops. No troops were reported hurt.

Beita has seethed since an illegal outpost, known as Evyatar, was constructed by national-religious Jewish settlers back in May. Paleostinians have regularly — and sometimes violent mostly peacefully — protested the settler presence, leading to seven Paleostinian deaths during festivities with Israeli forces.

In a bid to reduce tensions, the government backed a deal that saw the settlers leave the hilltop, but left open the possibility for Evyatar to become a legal settlement under Israeli law. The violent mostly peaceful festivities, however, have continued.

Dweikat was the seventh Paleostinian to die during festivities with Israeli soldiers while protesting the outpost, Paleostinian health officials said. He is the third since the deal went into effect in late June.

The Israeli army neither confirmed nor denied that Dweikat had been killed by Israeli fire. But soldiers had used live bullets against the violent mostly peaceful rioters, the army said.

"Around 700 rioters participated, hurling stones and rolling burning tires at Israeli soldiers and Border Police. The forces active at the scene responded with riot dispersal means and Ruger bullets," the Israeli military said.

The army considers the .22mm Ruger bullets to be less lethal than standard-issue 5.56mm slugs, meaning they can be used at West Bank demonstrations. But human rights
...which often include carefully measured allowances of freedom at the convenience of the state...
groups have condemned the use of Ruger fire for riot control, as the weapon can still kill.

Hisham Dweikat, a university professor and local Fatah leader, told The Times of Israel that the dear departed Emad had four daughters and a son who had been born two months ago. Emad was a construction worker who had been employed across Israel and the West Bank, Hisham said.
He will be missed wasn't missed. Not by the last shot
In videos from the scene, Paleostinians can be seen slinging stones at Israeli troops. But according to Hisham, Emad had been far away from the soldiers when he was struck by live bullets in his chest.

"He was participating in the march, but he was far away from the soldiers at the time of the shooting. He was standing next to the medics, and he wasn’t throwing stones or anything," said Hisham, who said he had witnessed Emad being shot.

Putin: Let them listen to Tchaikovsky's music
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] The decision of the Court of Arbitration against the Russian athletes turned out to be politically motivated to a certain extent. This was announced on August 6 by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Do they like Tchaikovsky's music more than Alexandrov? Let them listen to Tchaikovsky's music, ”Putin said.

“The decision of the Arbitration Court of Sports still has a political connotation to a certain extent. When we talk about doping, then - there has always been such a world practice - we mean the attitude of a particular athlete to this. Wine is always individual," he said.

According to Putin, this does not affect the level of performance of Russian athletes, who "in the best way prove that attempts to politicize sports are insignificant, senseless, and even harmful."

Libya's Attorney General To Prosecute GECOL Employees Over Bribery
[LIBYAREVIEW] Several employees of the state-owned General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) are being prosecuted by Libya’s Attorney General, al-Siddiq al-Sour on bribery charges, it was announced on Thursday.

In a blurb, al-Sour stated that the Public Prosecution’s investigations proved that GECOL employees had accepted illegal bribes, and violated the laws and regulations governing the management of public money.

Since 2011, Libya has been suffering from a deficit in energy production. Rolling power blackouts are a recurring problem in Libya, given the infrastructure does not generate enough capacity to meet demand, especially in the summer months when use is high. In turn, GECOL adopts a program of scheduled power outages hours on various cities and regions.

Nigeria bombs gunmen camp, kills 78: Military
[AlAhram] Nigerian forces have killed 78 button men, known locally as bandidos, during military operations including air strikes in northwestern Zamfara state, the air force said

Heavily-armed bandidos have wracked northwest and central Nigeria for years, but the groups have recently stepped up attacks on schools, kidnapping hundreds of students for ransom and prompting a military response.

"On 2 August 2021, Nigerian Air Force... locked on armed bandidos on bikes moving into Kwiambana Forest Reserves (in Zamfara state)... over 78 bandidos were neutralized,
    ”Peddle away! PEDDLE AWAY!!
and their camps destroyed," air force front man Edward Gabkwet said in a statement late on Thursday.
That’s fast — they only received new airplanes from America two weeks ago.
The bandidos were tracked to "extensive and well concealed camps with numerous huts" that were destroyed by the air force, the statement added, "in liaison with ground troops forming blocking forces around the targeted areas of the forest."

The air force said surviving bandidos escaped and abandoned the camp.

The air force used the Alpha Jet fighter and attack helicopters to bombard the bandit camp, the statement said.

The Nigerian military first deployed to the area in 2016 and a peace deal with bandidos was signed in 2019 but attacks on communities have continued.

Violence linked to these groups is just one of the challenges facing President Muhammadu Buhari's security forces, who are also battling a more than decade-long jihadist insurgency in the northeast and separatist agitation in the southeast.

Last month, heavily-armed gangs shot down an air force Alpha Jet over Zamfara although the pilot safely ejected and evaded capture.

On July 22, the air force said it had received the first six out of 12 Super Tucano light-attack turboprops from the United States.

Iraqi refugee killed in al-Hol amid uptick in violence
[Rudaw] Another Iraqi refugee was rubbed out in Syria’s al-Hol camp amid a resurgence of crimes in the camp, a UK-based watchdog reported on Friday.

The murder is the 20th of its kind since the end of the first phase of the security operation in al-Hol in March, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said.

Four Iraqi refugees, including two females, were bumped off in the camp in July, it added.

Al-Hol is home to nearly 60,000 people, mostly women and kiddies with suspected links to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS). The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Internal security forces (Asayish) launched a five-day operation in the camp in late March targeting ISIS sleeper cells, arresting 125 ISIS people.

ISIS-related violence at the camp decreased following the operation, the Pentagon said in a report issued on Tuesday. It followed a spate of murders earlier in the year, mostly involving Iraqis.

    However,
the hip bone's connected to the leg bone...
the US Central Command said that ISIS has retained a "strong" presence in the camp, noting a concerning increase in violence during June. The report also warned against the group’s continuous practice of targeting the "most susceptible for recruitment" particularly in the camps.

"ISIS has given priority to smuggling boys out of these camps to training locations in the Syrian Desert," it said. The group also continues to raise funds through extortion of oil smuggling networks in eastern Syria, collecting kidnapping ransoms, looting, and possibly the operation of front companies in both Iraq and Syria.

Al-Hol has been branded a breeding ground for terrorism. Conditions at the camp have been described as "filthy and inhumane." The President of the International Committee of the Red Thingy (ICRC) Peter Maurer described the camp as "the place where hope is going to die" in a visit to the camp in late March.

There have been calls on foreign countries and Iraq to repatriate their nationals held in the camp.

The Iraqi government repatriated 93 Iraqi families from al-Hol in May. Iraq has agreed to take in 500 families in a phased operation.

Russia, Kosovo, Canada, and Albania also recently repatriated a number of their nationals.

On its part, Zim-bob-we is sending a team of 304 defence instructors to Mozambique to train Mozambican troops as part of its commitment to the SADC Standby Force Mission.

As part of Zimbabwe's contribution, last week Defence and War Veterans Affairs Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri announced, "Zimbabwe is awaiting the signing of the Status Force Agreement after which the Zimbabwe training continent will be sent to Mozambique. Once the training team is dispatched, Parliament will be informed accordingly in terms of section 214 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe.”

Already, Botswana has deployed 296 troops to Mozambique to join soldiers from the SADC region after regional leaders agreed in June to respond with proportionate force to the snuffies in the Cabo Delgado region who have left a trail of bloodshed and wrecked the country's economy.

Israeli cyber company detects severe Amazon security breach
[Jpost] Check Point, an Israeli cybersecurity provider, found that by clicking an e-book infected by malware, users could lose control of both their Kindle tablet and their Amazon accounts.

A severe security breach was detected in Amazon's e-book tablet Kindle by Israeli cybersecurity provider Check Point, the company revealed on Friday.

According to the company's Israeli cyber investigators, the security breach found allowed them to hack the tablets, gain full control and steal the e-reader users' Amazon accounts.

Check Point's findings were revealed at DEF CON, the world's largest hacker and cybersecurity convention, held annually in Las Vegas. The annual conventions are regularly attended by FBI agents on top of the companies in the cyber field.

The company managed to hack into the Kindles by exploiting a breach that occurs as the tablet is processing an e-book the reader has clicked on.

In the few seconds it takes for the tablet to process an e-book before displaying it to the user on the screen, the cyber investigators managed to run a code into the e-book, capable of handing complete remote control of the tablet to the hackers.

By clicking an e-book infected by malware, users could lose control of both their tablet and their Amazon accounts without ever being aware of the cyberattack occurring.

"Kindle, like other IoT [Internet of Things] products, are wrongfully though of as products which don't require a high security level," explained Itay Cohen, a Check Point senior cyber investigator, at the convention. "Any device with an internet connection is a potential target for cyberattacks," Cohen noted.

"We are delighted that Amazon realized the severity of the breach and worked with us [Check Point] to fix the issue," Cohen added.

The breaches were fixed by Amazon's security department, with assistance given by Check Point. Amazon's newest update containing a fix was released and automatically installed in Kindles all over the world.

Another Israeli cyber company was in the spotlight last month, as a report published by 17 media organizations suggested NSO's hacking spyware, Pegasus, was under "widespread and continuing abuse” by authoritarian governments.

Central Asia's Leaders Meet as Taliban Advances in Afghanistan
[AnNahar] The leaders of five Central Asian countries gathered for talks in Turkmenistan on Friday, with the spiral of war in neighboring Afghanistan topping their agenda as US-led forces lave the country.

The talks in the Caspian Sea town of Avaza come as the Taliban
    ...mindless ferocity in a turban...
challenges Afghan government forces in several large cities after weeks of gains in the countryside, including in provinces next to the three former Soviet 'stans' that border the country -- Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Turkmen president Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov called Afghanistan "the question that worries all of us" on Wednesday as state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
showed him receiving his Tajikistan counterpart Emomali Rakhmon for bilateral talks ahead of the summit.

Russia, meanwhile, was involved in joint military drills close to Afghanistan's borders in both Tajikistan and Uzbekistan as a top Kremlin military official flew into the region Thursday to observe the exercises and hold talks.

Fighting in Afghanistan's long-running conflict began to intensify in May, when US and other foreign forces began the withdrawal due to be completed later this month.

In June, the Taliban captured Afghanistan's main crossing with Tajikistan, Shir Khan Bandar, while Kabul's troops have been forced to retreat into both Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in recent weeks during heavy fighting with the group.

The Taliban has insisted that it has no designs on Central Asia, and has established official contacts with both Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan as it casts itself as a government-in-waiting.

But analysts argue that a growing security vacuum in the country can pose its own threat to Central Asia, as well as the region's growing economic cooperation with Kabul.

Valery Gerasimov, chief of the Russian military's General Staff, arrived in Uzbekistan for talks Thursday, and to observe military drills that are expected to wrap up next week.

During a meeting with Uzbek counterpart Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov, Gerasimov said the drills took place "to practice actions to repel terrorist threats".

"The main threat to the Central Asian region today comes from the Afghan direction," Gerasimov said, noting that Moscow was increasing its supplies of weapons to the region.

The annual summit being held in Avaza is a rare instance of the Central Asian states convening for talks without powers from outside the region, such as Russia, China or the United States.

    Taliban

    grabbed credit for the attack.
The Taliban rubbed out the head of the Afghan government's media information centre Friday at a mosque in the capital, the ministry said, days after warning they would target senior administration officials in retaliation for increased air strikes.

"Unfortunately, the savage murderous Moslems have committed a cowardly act once again and martyred a patriotic Afghan," interior ministry front man Mirwais Stanikzai said of the death of Dawa Khan Menapal.

The Taliban grabbed credit for the death, with front man Zabihullah Mujahid sending a message to media saying "he was killed in a special attack carried out by mujahideen".

The gunnies warned Wednesday of more attacks targeting Afghan government leaders, a day after the defence minister escaped an liquidation attempt.

The bomb-and-gun attack on Defence Minister Bismillah Mohammadi Tuesday night brought the war to the capital for the first time in months.

The Afghan and US militaries have stepped up air strikes in their fight against the bandidos murderous Moslems in a string of cities, and the Taliban said Wednesday the Kabul raid was their response.

"DEVIL WEARS PRADA": Bombshell Report Alleges Abuse Within Jill Biden's Office
[Trending Politics] According to a new report, Jill Biden’s office is not all that it seems. The First Lady spends a lot of time trying to convince the American people that she is an innocent and lovely lady however a new report says otherwise.

Advisor to Jill Biden, Anthony Bernal, is known as the most powerful person in Jill Biden’s office according to a recent Vogue puff piece and is also seen as a tyrant.

"[T]he way he has wielded that power has made Bernal one of the most polarizing people in the White House, according to interviews with more than two dozen White House staffers, former campaign aides, and people who worked with him during the Obama administration," Politico reported.

Bernal is in "pursuit of perfection" for Jill Biden which has led to abuse within the First Lady’s office which many compare to the movie "The Devil Wears Prada."

"Many described him as ’berating’ and ’toxic’ because of his unfiltered criticism of others and tendency to trash talk his colleagues behind their backs," the report alleged. "Some compare him to [Meryl Streep’s] character in ’Devil Wears Prada’ while another equated him to the ever-conspiring Littlefinger in ’Game of Thrones.’"

What type of First Lady would hire someone who is so abusive to their staff?

The bombshell report claimed that Bernal’s abuse have been "surreptitiously" recorded during meetings:

[AlAhram] The announcement underscored President Joe The Big Guy Biden

's plan to slash US troops in Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
and move some bases out of Germany

The US Army announced Friday that it would retain troop sites in Germany and Belgium that had been slated for handover, saying they were needed for "growing" defense demands in the region.

The announcement underscored President Joe Biden's reversal of his predecessor Donald Trump's plan to slash US troops in Europe and move some bases out of Germany.

The army said its installations in Ansbach, Kaiserslautern, Mannheim, Pirmasens, Stuttgart and Wiesbaden in Germany and at Caserne Daumerie near Chievres in Belgium would not now be turned over to the host nations.

The locations include housing, support facilities, a base for storing hundreds of armored vehicles, a warehouse location and administrative offices.

The reversal to plans made years ago to leave the locations is "due to growing requirements in the European theater," the army said in a statement.

In July 2020 Trump announced that the United States would withdraw almost 12,000 out of the nearly 35,000 US soldiers based in Germany, bringing some home and redeploying others elsewhere in Europe.

But Pentagon officials, citing the need for long-term planning for such moves, did not take immediate action and the current level of troops in Germany remains around 35,000.

After Biden came into office in January, the Trump plan was dropped as Washington views Russia as a significant threat to Europe and believes the US troop presence is crucial to the NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions...
    mission.

In April, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the Pentagon would actually add another 500 US military personnel to its rosters in Germany, to be based in Weisbaden.

In June around 28,000 soldiers from the United States and 25 allied countries took part in the Defender 21 military exercises for building readiness and interoperability between US, NATO and partner forces.

Renewed Militia Clashes in Western Libya
[LIBYAREVIEW] Informed sources told Sky News that a large explosion occurred south of the Libyan city of al-Zawiya. It came as a result of a conflict between two militias, seeking to establish greater dominance over parts of the Coastal Road.

In statements to Sky News Arabia, the sources added that a convenience store was blown up in the Bir Sardin area, which belonged to the brother of one of the leaders of the Muammar al-Dhawi militia, which is active in the Warshafana area, southwest of Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
. They accused militias from al-Zawiya of the earth-shattering kaboom, in retaliation for engaging in festivities last week.

The sources revealed that the two sides are fighting due to differences related to fuel smuggling. As Warshafana groups recently stopped a number of fuel smugglers belonging to the al-Zawiya militias, at a vital gate on the Coastal Road.

Last Friday, festivities erupted in the al-Maya region of western Libya between a militia headed by Mohammed El-Far from al-Zawiya, and the Muammar al-Dhawi al-Warshafani militia. According to eyewitnesses, medium and heavy weapons were used during the fighting.

The festivities led to the use of mortars, with photos circulated on social media showing plumes of smoke rising from the middle of residential neighbourhoods. It was reported that the festivities reached the 27 Bridge vicinity, west of Tripoli.

Tunisia puts Ennahda official under house arrest, colleague says
[AlAhram] Anouar Maarouf is the most prominent member of the party to be targeted since President Kais Saied dismissed the prime minister and suspended parliament on July 25

Tunisia’s interior ministry has put under house arrest a bigwig of the Ennahda party which opposes the president’s seizure of governing powers, one of his colleagues said on Friday.

Anouar Maarouf is the most prominent member of the party to be targeted since President Kais Saied dismissed the prime minister and suspended parliament on July 25.

Maarouf was minister of communications and technology from 2016-20 , a government department which Saied has suggested parties tried to manipulate for their own advantage.

"Anouar Maarouf was informed by official authorities that he is under house arrest," an Ennahda official told Rooters, asking not to be named.

The Interior Ministry was not immediately available for comment.
    "I can say no more!"
Though Saied’s moves appear to have popular support, they have raised questions over Tunisia’s democratic transition a decade after it threw off autocratic rule in a revolution that triggered the 2011 Arab Spring.

Several politicians and officials have been detained or put under investigation, including on old warrants that were implemented after the president lifted parliamentary immunity.

Saied has moved to gain direct control over the Interior Ministry and Communications and Technology Ministry, replacing the ministers in charge of both.

This week, he said he would not accept future communications and technology ministers being linked to political parties that might want control over citizens’ data.

Ennahda is one of four political parties that the judiciary said last week it was investigating over foreign financing.

It says it has not broken any rules.

The judiciary also briefly investigated four party members, including some close to the leader, parliament speaker Rached Ghannouchi, over slight scuffles with Saied supporters on July 26. The cases were quickly dropped, however.

Hidden Complex Found Beneath Jerusalem's Western Wall
[Patterns of Evidence] The recent archaeological discovery of a hidden underground chamber reveals the largest ritual bath found to date in Jerusalem. The structure is from the Second Temple era which covers about 600 years, starting in the late sixth century BC during the time of Ezra and Nehemiah to AD 70 when the Temple was destroyed.

King David designed the First Jewish Temple and his son King Solomon built it (1 Kings 6). Babylonians demolished it some 400 years later when they conquered Jerusalem in 586 BC. Fifty-two years later, under the leadership of Nehemiah, exiles were allowed to return and begin rebuilding following a decree by Cyrus, king of Persia. (Ezra 1:1-4, 2 Chron. 36:22-23).

Later Herod the Great, acting as vassal king for Rome from 37-4 BC, began major reconstruction of the Second Temple and areas around his kingdom. One source attesting to this is ancient historian Josephus who writes about Herod expanding the Temple platform on the upper face of the mountain which was originally built by King Solomon (Antiquities 9:95).

The massive upgrades to the Temple buildings and surrounding complex started by King Herod were still in progress at the time of Jesus, according to archeologists whose recent research shows that the "Herodian Hall" wasn’t completed until decades after Herod’s death. (More Herodian Second Temple finds).

The grand building only served for a short period before it was completely obliterated by Rome as Jesus predicted in Mark.

Serb Interior Minister does not rule out arson in forest fires
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] The Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs has information that forest fires in several places in the Pčinj district (South-East Serbia) may have flared up not because of the heat, but as a result of arson. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia Alexander Vulin on August 6.

Vulin said that he personally intends to visit this region of the country and get acquainted with the situation on the ground.

“I am very worried about the Pczyński district. We have a large number of fires there, and I suspect that in many cases we are talking about arson, ” the RTS TV channel quoted Vulin as saying.

According to the Vulin, it seems suspicious that the fires in the district broke out in different places within two hours. 'It makes a person think - is it about a natural fire, or is it still something else," added Vulin.

Recall that in many countries of southern Europe, because of the intense heat, wildfires broke out. In Turkey, the fire element has caused a real natural and humanitarian disaster.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. —H. L. Mencken

The people need wholesome fear. They want to fear something. They want someone to frighten them and make them shudderingly submissive. —Adolph Hitler, 1933

Sadly, after years upon years of conditioning, most people don’t use critical thinking (logic is not taught in government schools) and instead let others think for them. This became all too obvious with the propaganda of fear proliferated by worldwide establishment hierarchies.

In 2020, America became a country of sheep, donning the useless face diapers, even while alone in their vehicles or outside on warm sunny days. Fauci’s fear propaganda was successful. In 2021, Americans allowed themselves to become lab rats for an unlicensed and dangerous injection that is not a "vaccine," but an unapproved experimental toxic genetic agent containing squalene. Dr. Lee Merritt says this is the same ingredient in one of the "vaccines" given to Gulf War vets allegedly to prevent Anthrax poisoning, where there was no time for oversight or independent review, and instead caused Gulf War syndrome. In animal testing for the messenger RNA Covid injections, the ferrets, cats, and monkeys all died when a new virus was introduced.

#2  The Marxists knew what they were going to provoke and set the stage for the sheep to accept the coming suppression as an act justified by the insurrection that never was. A long history in Russia, China, Cuba and a host of 3rd world Shi*holes has taught them how to anticipate counter-revolutionary actions and how to suppress then early on. Absent an honest media and given a cowed public, they must be delirious with their success....just imagine the conversations over a nice joint at the Obama picnic this weekend.

Valve soon will start shipping Steam Decks to game developers
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] Video game developers partnered with Valve will receive Steam Deck consoles "this week," the GamesRadar portal reports.

Reporters noted that during a visit to Valve's office, they were able to run some games on the handheld console, and that they generally ran smoothly, even though the developers did not make any changes to the games, as they simply did not have the opportunity to test them on the Steam Deck. The GamesRadar authors noted that this in itself is a "little miracle."

In a conversation with reporters, an unidentified Valve representative noted that some partners have not yet seen the console, since even the company itself did not have them. He said that Valve received the devices "a couple of days ago" and added that the company was "nervous" because there could be a situation where she would not have anything to show to invited correspondents of GamesRadar, since the Steam Deck batch still was at customs.

Earlier IA REGNUM reported that Valve had ceased to name specific delivery dates for Steam Deck. The company began to let people who book a console, they will be able to get it only "after the second quarter of 2022" .

IDF attacks Hamas headquarters in response to balloon fires
[JPost] Like the slow child that keeps playing with electrical outlets, they need to feel consequences. Now hit their homes
Palestinian sources at about 00:30 Saturday reported that the IDF had attacked Hamas headquarters in Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip, and that airplanes were being shot at with machine guns.

The IDF attacked a Hamas military base and rocket launching site in Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip on Friday evening, according to a statement by the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.

Along with the rockets shot from Lebanon towards Israel's north on Friday morning, the border with Gaza continues to be tense.

Four fires caused by incendiary balloons broke out in several areas close to the Gaza Strip on Friday afternoon, HaKeren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) reported.

The head of COGAT, Maj.-Gen. Ghassan Alian, addressed Gaza Strip residents via Facebook in response to the fires.

"Are you really willing to endanger your daily lives for the sake of balloons?" he asked. "Have you not had enough of this endless circle that leads you nowhere? Are these balloons worth more than the shrinking of your fishing zone? Maintaining the quiet and security in the region will better your economy," he wrote.

After Operation Guardian of the Walls, the IDF has consistently been attacking in response to incendiary balloons that caused brush fires in the Gaza border areas.

The IDF has still been trying to minimize the conflict, and to avoid casualties on either side.

However, since the May operation it has hit quality targets such as a military compound in Han Younes in response to incendiary balloons, where in the past it sometimes would not attack at all in the same scenario.

The previous attack occurred at the end of July.

Of the four fires that broke out Friday, three of the fires ignited in Kissufim forest, and the fourth in Be'eri forest. A spokesperson for the Fire and Rescue department reported that four firefighting teams were working on the ground alongside KKL-JNF in order to bring the fires under control and prevent them from spreading further.
    The Times of Israel adds:
In Gaza, the so-called balloon unit, Ahfad an-Nassar,
...one of three major Gaza balloon units, the other two being Ibna al-Zuwari and Barq. I’m not sure if all three are sponsored by Hamas. They also do incendiary kites...
said it had launched balloon-borne incendiary devices toward Israel in solidarity with Lebanon.

"We will not be humiliated," the group said in a brief statement on Friday.

United Airlines will Require U.S. Employees to be Vaccinated
[Beitbart] United Airlines will require employees in the U.S. to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by late October, perhaps sooner, joining a growing number of big corporations that are responding to a surge in virus cases.

United, which has 67,000 employees in the United States, is the first major U.S. airline to announce it will require vaccination for workers. The airline has been requiring vaccination of new hires since mid-June. Unvaccinated workers are required to wear face masks at company offices.

The Chicago-based airline estimates that up to 90% of its pilots and close to 80% of its flight attendants are already vaccinated. They get incentives to do so.

The airline told U.S. employees Friday that they will need to be fully vaccinated by Oct. 25 or five weeks after the Food and Drug Administration grants full approval to any one vaccine — whichever date comes first. So far, the FDA has only granted emergency-use approval of the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Full approval is expected soon.

Each employee will have to send an image of their vaccine card to the company. Those who don’t will be terminated, with exemptions granted only for religious or health reasons, officials said.

Employees who are already vaccinated or do so by Sept. 20 will get an extra day of pay, according to the memo from Kirby and Hart.

Like United, Delta Air Lines has operated vaccination center for employees and recently began requiring the shots for new hires. Delta CEO Ed Bastian said this week that 73% of the airline’s workforce is vaccinated. Executives at other airlines have similarly encouraged their workers to get vaccinated, even offering bonuses and paid time off to get the shots, but haven’t made them mandatory.

Airlines and other companies in the travel business have been hit particularly hard by the pandemic, which led to sharp travel restrictions. The United States requires people entering the country, including U.S. citizens, to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test, and the Biden administration plans to require non-U.S. citizens to be vaccinated before entering the country.

A United executive said the airline has no plans to require that passengers be vaccinated, calling that a government decision. The CEOs of Delta and American have similarly ruled out a mandate for passengers.

Microsoft, Google and Facebook have said they will require proof of vaccination for employees and visitors to their U.S. offices starting this fall.

This week, Tyson Foods announced it will require all U.S. employees to get vaccinated by November — notable because unlike the tech companies, Tyson relies on many lower-paid workers who cannot do their jobs remotely. The president of the United Food and Commercial Workers criticized Tyson for imposing the requirement while the vaccines still have only emergency FDA approval.

A few governments are getting involved. California and New York City will require employees to be vaccinated or face weekly testing, and the California mandate extends to workers in public and private hospitals and nursing homes.

The new rules come as the U.S. struggles with a surge in infections driven by the highly contagious delta variant of COVID-19. The 7-day average of new reported coronavirus cases has jumped to more than 90,000 a day from around 12,000 a month ago, although hospitalizations and deaths have risen more slowly.

Team Biden's nuke-deal talks are positively absurd after Iran's latest deadly attack
[NYPost] President Joe Biden’s insistence on resuming Team Obama’s disastrous 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran has truly entered the world of the absurd: Even as Biden officials entertain talks with Tehran, they’ve also been coordinating with the United Kingdom, Romania and Israel to launch a retaliatory response following what is believed to be an Iranian-backed strike on a ship last week that left two dead.

Iran and its proxies have attacked ships and other targets for years, yet the hit on the Israel-managed petroleum tanker Mercer Street off the coast of Oman July 30 was the first recent maritime attack to entail fatalities, that of a Brit and a Romanian.

"Upon review of the available information, we are confident that Iran conducted this attack, which killed two innocent people," said Secretary of State Antony Blinken. "We are working with our partners to consider our next steps and consulting with governments inside the region and beyond on an appropriate response, which will be forthcoming."

And if you think Iran might suddenly become a reasonable, good-faith negotiating partner now that a new president took office Thursday, recall that its new leader, Ebrahim Raisi, is a hardline devotee to the Islamic Revolution — with oceans of blood on his hands.

Good luck trying to make a meaningful deal with a regime like this. Indeed, Iran has reportedly made a new demand: that the United States guarantee it’ll never walk away from the pact, as President Donald Trump wisely did with the last one.

"They once violated the nuclear deal at no cost by exiting it," warned Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who actually holds all the power. "Now they explicitly say that they cannot give guarantees that it would not happen again."

Never mind that the old deal paved the way for Iran to get nukes in a matter of years. And did nothing about its terrorism or belligerence throughout the region. Never mind Iran’s breaches of the deal, such as stockpiling enriched uranium at its underground plant at Natanz.

Here’s a better idea than for Team Biden to continue to deal with terrorist thugs who can’t be trusted: Don’t negotiate at all, but simply dictate the terms for the removal of sanctions and leave it to Iran to comply.

If Iran can’t first prove that it will forswear nuclear weapons for good, it doesn’t deserve any of the benefits a Biden deal will bestow.

Pressure Builds on Biden to Withdraw Ecoterrorist BLM Nominee as Support Collapses Among Industry Leaders
[Breitbart] The Oregon Farm Bureau (OFB) has joined a growing number of groups rejecting the confirmation of Tracy Stone-Manning, President Joe Biden’s controversial nominee to lead the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), citing her past association with ecoterrorists.

The OFB issued a statement on its website last week about its decision, which was then shared Thursday by the Congressional Western Caucus, another group against Stone-Manning.

The OFB, the representative organization of Oregon’s agricultural community, wrote it "opposes the nomination of Tracy Stone-Manning to serve as director of the U.S. Bureau of Land Management based on her association with and apparent support for activists who used tactics like tree spiking in working forests."

Stone-Manning was an active member of the environmental extremist group Earth First! while she was a graduate student at the University of Montana in Missoula 30 years ago. Specifically, her involvement in a 1989 tree spiking crime — and her lack of forthrightness about her role in the crime over the course of her career — has led to a spate of calls for Biden to withdraw her nomination.

Tree spiking, which was prevalent in the 1980s and 1990s, is a form of sabotage and an act of ecoterrorism in which metal spikes are hammered into trees to prevent them from being harvested. The spikes are known to destroy expensive logging equipment and have the potential to injure or kill loggers or millworkers.

The OFB joins several counties in the West, national and state logger organizations, the Dallas Safari Club and Houston Safari Club, a former Obama administration BLM director, a former Trump administration acting BLM director, dozens of House Republicans, and all Senate Republicans in rejecting Stone-Manning’s nomination.

In July, a Biden administration official described her nomination as a "massive vetting failure," according to an NBC News report.

"We cannot support a nominee who condones and will not adequately reject groups that use violence and threats of harm to intimidate and advance their own agenda," OFB Executive Vice President Dave Dillon said. "We join the growing chorus of Americans from both parties in asking the president to withdraw this nomination."

Ain Issa Christians terrified by fresh Turkish bombardments
[Rudaw] Christian villagers in Syria’s northern town of Ain Issa had to flee their houses this week due to fresh Ottoman Turkish bombardments which killed four members of a family, with a local security spokesperson telling Rudaw they are terrified after the attacks.

Ottoman Turkish forces bombarded a Christian house in Safawiyah village, located near Ain Issa, in the early hours of Wednesday, killing Zidan Khalaf al-Issa and his three children: Ziyad, Muna and Huda, Aram Hanna, spokesperson for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), told Rudaw English.

"Two other civilians were maimed and were moved to Raqqa Hospital to receive treatment," he added. Rudaw has learned that Zidan’s wife was also injured.

Issa’s niece Fatima al-Issa told Rudaw that villagers left their homes after the bombing, but some have returned.

"The situation is not good but we are still here. Where can we go? Yesterday, we left and stayed away from our house but today we returned," she said.

Other families are staying in nearby villages and waiting for the security to improve.

Daham al-Layis, head of emergency services at Raqqa Hospital, told Rudaw that the injured are in good condition now.

"We received them at 12pm but they were unconscious. We did some tests and found out that they have head injuries. They are in a good condition now," he said.

Ain Issa is located on the M4 highway, the main route that crosses northern Syria. In this area in October 2019, Ottoman Turkish forces and their Syrian proxies launched a military offensive against Kurdish forces. The operation ended the same month after ceasefires were brokered by Washington and Moscow.

The truces saw The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
take control of a stretch of territory along the border and the SDF redeploy south of the M4 with Russian and Syrian regime troops acting as a buffer.

Nabil Warda, spokesperson for the Khabur Guards Council, a local Syriac force, told Rudaw that they were terrified by Ottoman Turkish bombardment.

"All Syriac villages have been bombarded, areas where the displaced people live. Thirty bombs were thrown and all sorts of weapons were used against us," he said, saying the displaced had previously been displaced from Sari Kani (Ras al-Ain) in October 2019.

"We are terrified by the bombardment. Now, Turkey is bringing upon us what ISIS [Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
] brought upon us in 2015 . We are still suffering from the Ottoman Turkish invasion."

The Ottoman Turkish bombardment was condemned by the pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), which operates in Turkey. Its Foreign Relations Commission co-spokespersons said the repetition of such attacks in Kurdish-held areas "shows hostility and serious war crimes will continue in northeast Syria."

"For this reason, we call on both the Ottoman Turkish public and the international community to stand against the ongoing crimes against humanity in northeast Syria," said Feleknas Uca and Hisyar Ozsoy in the statement.

Turkey claims that the People’s Protection Units (YPG), the backbone of the SDF, is the Syrian offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) — an gang struggling for the increased rights of Kurds in Turkey. The PKK is designated as a terrorist organization.

    -Signs, Portents, and the Weather-
Biden's DHS Admits ‘Significantly Increased Rates' of COVID-Positive Border Crossers Arriving in U.S.
[Breitbart] The rate at which coronavirus-positive border crossers are arriving in the United States has “increased significantly,” according to President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

David Shahoulian, DHS’s assistant secretary for border and immigration policy, admitted in a court brief filed this week that the agency has seen “significantly increased rates” of coronavirus-positive border crossers arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border, spurring “extremely worrisome” conditions at border facilities.

    Shahoulian writes in the brief:

As explained in more detail below, the United States is currently encountering record numbers of noncitizens, including families, at the border. These encounter rates have strained DHS operations and caused border facilities to be filled beyond their normal operating capacity, impacting the ability to employ social distancing in these congregate settings. At the same time, DHS is also experiencing significantly increased rates of noncitizens testing positive for COVID19. In light of these and other considerations, enjoining the application of the CDC Order to families would exacerbate overcrowding at DHS facilities and create significant public health risks. [Emphasis added]

This risk has recently increased due to the recent spread of the highly transmissible COVID-19 Delta variant. The rates at which encountered noncitizens are testing positive for COVID-19 have increased significantly in recent weeks. And although the rate of infection among CBP officers had been declining, this rate recently began increasing again, even though the percentage of officers and agents who have been fully vaccinated has grown significantly since January. This has led to increasing numbers of CBP personnel being isolated and hospitalized. [Emphasis added]

Shahoulian also admits in the brief that as of August 1, the U.S. Border Patrol was nearly 400 percent overcapacity. Specifically, Border Patrol had nearly 18,000 border crossers in its custody despite a coronavirus-adjusted capacity limit for about 4,700 border crossers.

“These capacity figures are extremely worrisome,” Shahoulian writes.

    The brief continues:

More specifically, the Border Patrol was over capacity in seven of its nine southwest border sectors. As of August 1, the RGV sector — which has been the epicenter of the current surge — was holding 10,002 noncitizens and was thus 783 percent over its COVID19 adjusted capacity of 1,278 and 287 percent over its normal, non-adjusted capacity of 3,485. Within RGV, noncitizen families and UCs are primarily transferred to a temporary processing facility in Donna, Texas in the RGV, which has a normal operating capacity of 1,625 and a COVID-19 adjusted capacity of 813 based on CDC recommended guidelines. Within nine days of this facility opening on February 9, 2021, it had already exceeded its normal non-COVID19 operating capacity with more than 1,000 noncitizens in custody. As of August 1, this facility was operating at 446 percent of its COVID-19 adjusted capacity, and 223 percent of its normal non-COVID-19 operating capacity, with 3,623 noncitizens in custody. [Emphasis added]

These capacity figures are extremely worrisome, particularly because of the continued spread of the highly transmissible Delta variant. Overcrowding challenges DHS’s ability to effectively execute many of its core public health mitigation and countermeasure activities. Additionally, higher rates of COVID-19 transmission within a DHS facility could quickly impede the Department’s ability to utilize that facility’s maximum capacity, further lowering the overall processing and holding capacity along the southwest border. Indeed, the Department’s operations have already been impacted by significantly increased positivity rates among individuals in its facilities, including families. [Emphasis added]

This week, city officials in McAllen, Texas revealed that the Biden administration has released more than 7,000 coronavirus-positive border crossers into their communities since February. In the last seven days, alone, the Biden administration released more than 1,500 coronavirus-positive border crossers in McAllen.

According to White House sources who spoke to the Washington Post, Biden is weighing a plan that would give border crossers the Johnson & Johnson vaccine before their release into the U.S. interior.

The latest data reveals that the Biden administration has released about 173,000 border crossers into the U.S. interior since he took office in late January. In addition, just in the month of July, nearly 15,000 Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) were released to sponsors across the U.S. Another 16,000 UACs remain in federal custody until they are released to sponsors.

G7 countries condemn attack on Mercer Street tanker off Oman, blame Iran
The U.S.Central Command statement can be seen here.
[IsraelTimes] Lapid praises response, insisting Tehran a global problem, not just an Israeli one; Gantz thanks Lloyd Austin for US leadership in effort, which was needed to bring Japan onboard.

The US Army’s Central Command published the findings of its investigation into the deadly attack, which determined that the drone that struck the Mercer Street was produced by Iran.
The Group of Seven leading industrialized countries on Friday jointly condemned last week’s attack on an oil tanker in the Arabian Sea and said evidence indicated Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
    was behind the incident.

But the bigger question still remains to be asked and answered.

Since Iran IT / electronic abilities are lacking.
Where did they get the plans or a Drone to Clone from?

Simply _oogle pictures of the US & Iranian attack drones and compare the suspiciously look-a-likes.
