Left has been spreading fear using cover transmission and not hospitalization and deaths as a metric. If the average person realizes that for most the virus isn't super-duper deadly then the jig is up. Naturally they are pissed at Rogan.

[Breitbart] Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen announced on Thursday that, following a high-level meeting with Chinese communist officials, Beijing vowed to help the Taliban fight the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.
Shaheen’s statement is the first from an official Taliban member to mention the pandemic since the radical Islamist terrorists became the de facto government of Afghanistan on August 15. Shaheen and other spokesmen have repeatedly insisted that the rest of the world recognize the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan but have yet to announce a head of state, the organization of the government’s bureaucratic structure, or how the Taliban intends of addressing the country’s most pressing governance issues, paramount among them its deteriorated healthcare system.
According to a statement Shaheen posted on Twitter, the deputy director of the Taliban’s political office discussed the future of Afghanistan with Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Wu Jianghao in a phone call on Thursday.
“The Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister said that they [the Chinese Communist Party] would maintain their embassy in Kabul, adding our relations would beef up as compared to the past,” Shaheen said. “Afghanistan can play an important role in security and development of the region.”
Shaheen added that the Chinese envoy promised increased “humanitarian assistance, especially for treatment of covid-19 [Chinese coronavirus].”
Coronavirus support may be one of the many ways that the Chinese Communist Party becomes a top influencer in the Taliban government. The second-in-command at the Taliban’s “political office” in Doha, Qatar, Abdul Salam Hanafi, said this week that the jihadists expect the communists to invest heavily in Afghanistan and they, in turn, expect to support China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a global debt trap scheme in which China tricks developing and poor countries into predatory loans allegedly meant for high-tech infrastructure projects.

[Breitbart] President Joe Biden’s Federal Trade Commission has begun to look into the too-oft broken McDonald’s ice cream machines, which have angered consumers and franchise owners for years.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has carried out an inquiry into the Mcdonald’s broken ice cream machines. The inquiry seeks to discover if Taylor Commercial Foodservice LLC, the manufacturer of the machines, has engaged in practices that hinder McDonald’s owners’ abilities to fix machines themselves or seek repairs from a third party

Nah - they will find some poor unfortunate sap on the street, charge him for insurrection, and dump him in a very deep hole with no contact with the outside world. (See Jan 6th)
[Breitbart] A remarkable one in five President Joe Biden voters said they regret voting for the 78-year-old in the last presidential election, according to the latest Zogby poll released on Friday.
Zogby is strongly in the Democrat camp...
The Zogby poll was taken before Kabul, Afghanistan, was conquered by the Taliban jihadist organization, and Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal turned deadly, killing 13 U.S. services members and injuring more.
There was also 76 percent of the respondents who said “no” they do not regret their vote, and four percent said they were “unsure.”
However, while the 20 percent do not specify if they would have voted for former President Donald Trump. Zogby Analytics points out that looking at the 2016 and the 2020 elections closely, both were only decided in a handful of battleground states by only tens of thousands of votes, not hundreds of thousands, meaning this can hurt the president’s chances in 2024.
Younger voters in the 18 to 29 (29 percent) and 30-49 (30 percent) age groups were more likely to regret their vote than the 50 to 64 (ten percent) and the 65 plus (six percent) age range.
Broken down by registered party preference, Republicans who voted for Biden regret their vote more than Democrats and independents, 29 percent, 21 percent, and 14 percent, respectively.
The Zogby poll also found that urban voters were about twice as likely to regret voting for Biden as suburban and rural voters, 28 percent, 14 percent, and 12 percent, respectively.
[Epoch Times] California officials have agreed to pay $800,000 in prevailing-party attorneys' fees to a popular Christian megachurch in Los Angeles after state and federal courts in California issued permanent injunctions barring government officials there from ever again imposing discriminatory restrictions on houses of worship.
In the United States, unsuccessful litigants only rarely have to pay their opponents' legal fees, even when their cases are weak.
The Thomas More Society, a national public interest law firm, represented Grace Community Church (GCC) and Pastor John MacArthur in legal proceedings that began in March 2020 when California and local governments initiated a sweeping response to combat COVID-19. Government officials repeatedly tried to shut down in-person church attendance after the pandemic began.
On Aug. 31, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles voted to approve the settlement with GCC and MacArthur. Under the agreement, the county will pay $400,000, and an additional $400,000 will be paid by the state of California as compensation for the attorneys' fees incurred by GCC and MacArthur.

[GreatMountainPublishing] Dr. Bryan Ardis makes an astounding revelation. He states that Dr. Fauci pushed the use of Veklury® (remdesivir) as a treatment for COVID-19 knowing that it would be unsafe and ineffective for patients. Veklury® (remdesivir) is a nucleotide analogue RNA polymerase inhibitor. Dr. Ardis reveals that the symptoms of lungs filling with fluid and the other alleged COVID-19 symptoms were actually side effects of kidney poisoning and other organ damage that are known side-effects of Veklury® (remdesivir). Dr. Ardis alleges that the devestating health toll allegedly caused by COVID-19 was actually caused by the NIH recommended treatment of Veklury® (remdesivir).
The following is a list of those people on the NIH Panel on COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines who had financial ties to Gilead Sciences, the manufacturer of Veklury® (remdesivir):
Rajesh Gandhi is on the advisory board of Gilead Sciences.
David Glidden is a consultant for Gilead Sciences.
Adaora Adimora is a consultant for Gilead Sciences and received research support from Gilead Sciences.
Eric Daar is a consultant for Gilead Sciences and recieves research support from Gilead Sciences.
Judith Aberg received research support from Gilead Sciences.
Jason Baker received research support from Gilead Sciences.
Susanna Naggie received research support from Gilead Sciences.
Pablo Tebas received research support from Gilead Sciences.
Roger Bedimo received an honoraria from Gilead Sciences.
The panel, of course, had an interest in undermining inexpensive and effective treatements: "[T]he Panel recommends against the use of the following drugs for the treatment of COVID-19: The combination of hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin because of the potential for toxicities." That was not true. Indeed many subsequent studies have shown that the hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin "combination is safe and may avoid worsening, virus persistence, and subsequent contagiosity."
This author previous wrote an article explaining the extreme efforts taken to discredit hydroxychloroquine. Doctors conducting studies purposely administered toxic levels of hydroxychlorquine to falsely show that it was dangerous to patients.
This is the part I have tried to point out that you can check out for yourself with a copy of the allegedly authoritative study and a 2017 copy of the PDR.
Remdesivir Adverse Effects
Many of the studies cited in support of NIH’s recommendation to use Veklury® (remdesivir) were in vitro studies or animal studies. A couple of the human studies were at best a mixed bag. Two of the most authoritative studies showed Veklury® (remdesivir) to be ineffective and unsafe.
In a randomized, open-label clinical trial (Study GS-US-540-5773) of remdesivir in 397 subjects with severe COVID-19 treated with remdesivir for 5 (n=200) or 10 days (n=197), adverse events were reported in 71% and 74% of subjects, respectively, serious adverse events were reported in 21% and 35% of subjects, respectively, and Grade=3 adverse events were reported in 31% and 43% of subjects, respectively. Nine (5%) subjects in the 5-day group and 20 (10%) subjects in the 10-day group discontinued treatment due to an adverse event. All cause mortality at Day 28 was 10% vs 13% in the 5- and 10-day treatment groups, respectively.
Please do not miss the fact that there were reported 71% adverse events in the 5-day study and 74% adverse events in the 10-day study for patients taking Veklury® (remdesivir). 21% suffered serious adverse events in the 5 day study and 35% of the patients suffered serious adverse events in the 10-day study. Below is the chart of adverse events published in the study.
Since I don't have a web host I'm leaving out the chart
Study GS-US-540-5773 was a randomized, open-label clinical trial in hospitalized adult subjects with severe COVID-19 treated with VEKLURY 200 mg on Day 1 and 100 mg once daily for 5 (n=200) or 10 days (n=197). Adverse reactions were reported in 33 (17%) subjects in the 5-day group and 40 (20%) subjects in the 10-day group. The most common adverse reactions occurring in at least 5% of subjects in either the VEKLURY 5-day or 10-day group, respectively, were nausea (5% vs 3%), AST increased (3% vs 6%), and ALT increased (2% vs 7%). Rates of any adverse reaction, serious adverse reactions, and adverse reactions leading to treatment discontinuation are presented in Table 6. [Chart 6 indicated that 3% of the 5 day group and 5% of the 10 day group had treatment discontinued due to adverse reactions.]
Notice the differences in reporting. The May 2020 report describes adverse events, whereas the October 2020 report changes the reporting to adverse reactions. The difference is that an adverse reaction denotes a causal relationship and an adverse event is an event that may or may not be causally related. A reaction is sometimes defined as the response to a medication where that response is at least resonably possible to have been caused by the medication. By concealing the adverse events and only reporting adverse reactions, the October 2020 FDA report conceals the real danger from Veklury® (remdesivir). Keep in mind that an adverse reaction must be established by a reasonable possibility. Such nebulous standards for distinguishing adverse events from adverse reactions are ripe for abuse. An adverse event could be causally related but the reviewer may just decide it is not reasonable to infer it is causally linked, and thus it would not be called an adverse reaction.
That should be enough to get started with. Additional sections of the original article, which I suggest you read, include:
Majority of Patients on Remdesivir Suffer Liver Damage

A court heard he was an 'active and prominent' member of IS and was found with publications featuring the late Osama bin Laden ...... who doesn't live anywhere anymore...... when police raided his home.
During the dawn raid in November 2019, police also found IS propaganda videos showing that he had produced a 'call to arms' video distributed over the web.

He also used Bitcoin to receive and transfer thousands of pounds, paying smugglers to liberate IS supporters from detention camps in Syria.
Chaudhary was found guilty of seven offences under the Terrorism Act and is believed to be one of the first Brits to be convicted of being a member of IS.
A court heard he was a member of the terror group since 2016.
Following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court he was convicted of belonging to a proscribed organization, dissemination of terrorist publications and entering into a terrorist funding arrangement.

[HotAir] We already discussed the political pressure being applied to scientists to meet Joe Biden’s arbitrary September 20th target for making COVID booster shots widely available. It was enough to cause a couple of them to resign. Yesterday, Allahpundit asked why the various players in the administration, the FDA and the CDC can’t seem to get on the same page for a policy that will potentially impact the health of hundreds of millions of people. Well, that 9/20 deadline was dealt another blow last night. FDA regulators have come out and said that it’s doubtful that Moderna can be approved for third shots by then. (NBC News)
U.S. regulators don’t expect to meet the Biden administration’s Sept. 20 timeline of making booster shots widely available to those who received the Moderna Covid vaccine, said a person familiar with the process.
Top health officials informed the White House they will need more time to review the Moderna application because the data the company submitted Sept. 1 was "found inadequate and needs strengthening," the person said.
But officials believe regulators are still on track to make a decision on boosters for Pfizer’s vaccine by Sept. 20. The FDA has an advisory committee meeting scheduled to discuss the Pfizer boosters Sept. 17, the person said.
Right from the beginning of this process, Moderna has had a lot more trouble with its applications and paperwork than either Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson. And it sounds like their documentation of the trials for booster shots is no different. That means that if the federal government tells America that September 20 is the time to start signing up for boosters, millions of people either won’t be able to comply if they received Moderna originally or they’ll have to switch over to Pfizer.
Question number one: Has anyone completed thorough trials on patients switching vaccines? And if not, are they at least working on that? We’ve already seen reports of people lying about their initial shots in their desperation to go get a third one. If the entire country wasn’t being stampeded into a panic by the horrendous messaging campaign coming out of the White House, perhaps we could be approaching these questions in a bit more rational fashion.
Also, keep in mind that it really isn’t the CDC or the FDA that’s conducting these trials. It’s the pharmaceutical companies themselves in conjunction with medical providers around the world. The government just collects the data from them so they can determine what the policy should be.
Now let’s look at the second half of that announcement. You’ll note that it says federal regulators "believe regulators are still on track to make a decision on boosters for Pfizer’s vaccine" by the time they meet to discuss it on September 17. That’s three days before the White House deadline. You know what that means, right? Pfizer’s boosters haven’t even been approved yet. And yet everyone has a deadline looming in a little over two weeks that’s apparently in place because Joe Biden picked a date out of thin air.
Is any of this sounding familiar? When Joe Biden selected August 31st as the date we needed to be out of Afghanistan he was warned by defense and intelligence aides that it was probably too soon. But having publicly announced the date once, he was obviously terrified of missing the deadline for purely political reasons. We all saw what happened after that.
Is that how we’re going to handle the next phase of the vaccination rollout? Once Biden announces a date, that’s when we go and the science can be damned? If the pharmaceutical companies can’t make the date, then they can’t make the date. The results of the clinical trials are the only thing that should be determining the schedule. I’m no longer sure who is actually running the show over at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but they need to pull their heads out of the sand and start practicing what they preach when it comes to "following the science."

The UK's vaccine advisory body has refused to give the green light to vaccinating healthy children aged 12 to 15 years old on health grounds alone. As children are at such low risk from the virus, they decided that vaccination would offer only "marginal gain" and, therefore, there was "insufficient" evidence to offer mass vaccination for this age group.
Perhaps the Science is different in the UK.

Viewer Caution: Contains virtue signaling Biden video
[France24] Less than a week after Hurricane Ida ravaged the Gulf Coast, US President Joe Biden was in Louisiana on Friday to get an up-close view of the damage and offer assistance from the federal government.
The devastation was clear as Air Force One approached New Orleans, with uprooted trees and blue tarps covering shredded houses coming into focus ahead of landing. The path to nearby LaPlace, where Biden was to be briefed by local officials, was dotted with wood poles that held power lines jutting from the ground at odd angles.
"I promise we’re going to have your back," Biden said at the outset of the briefing.
Such trips to natural disaster scenes have long been a feature of the U.S. presidency. It’s a moment to demonstrate compassion and show the public that the president is leading during the crisis. It’s also an opportunity to hit pause, however temporarily, from the political sniping that often dominates Washington.
In shirtsleeves and boots, Biden was welcomed at the airport by Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards, a Democrat. Several Republicans, including Sen. Bill Cassidy and Rep. Steve Scalise, the House Republican whip, were also on hand.
[France24] At least 17 people were killed in Kabul due to the Taliban’s celebratory Friday night gunfire, news agencies said on Saturday as Pakistan’s powerful intelligence chief made a surprise visit to Afghanistan amid reports of intense fighting between the hardline Islamist group and resistance fighters in the Panjshir Valley.
Afghan medical officers said 17 people were killed and 41 wounded people were admitted to a Kabul hospital due to injuries sustained during the Taliban's celebratory gunfire, Afghanistan's leading private news station, Tolo TV, reported Saturday.
In the eastern province of Nangarhar, at least 14 people were injured in celebratory firing, said Gulzada Sangar, spokesman for an area hospital in the provincial capital of Jalalabad.

[Ynet] Three Taliban sources said the Islamist militia had on Friday seized the Panjshir valley north of Kabul, the last province of Afghanistan holding out against it, although a resistance leader denied it had fallen.
"By the grace of Allah Almighty, we are in control of the entire Afghanistan. The troublemakers have been defeated and Panjshir is now under our command," said one Taliban commander.
It was not immediately possible to confirm the reports, but deafening volleys of celebratory gunfire resounded all over Kabul and Facebook accounts were full of mentions of the fall of Panjshir.

....This made me remember a story I read early last week, which made the suggestion that the Talibs might well have simply called the district admins/commanders directly (they would have known perfectly well how to contact them; and vice versa) and said, more or less:
"Hey, how's it hangin'? We took over last night - didn't you guys get the word? Oh, yeah, I know, those guys in Kabul couldn't get it together to save their goats, y'know? No, no, we won - they're just draggin' it out to look good. Oh yeah, no probs - so look, we'll be to your office about, say, nineish? Good to go, see you then."
If that's even close to true, then it would help explain the even-faster-than-we-thought collapse. Afghans actually don't fight unless they have to - bribery, threats, family ties, and religious connections work a whole lot better and leave the new guys more people to rule/tax.

[The Hill] The Supreme Court’s refusal to block the Texas "fetal heartbeat" law, the most restrictive abortion legislation in the U.S. to date, is expected to inspire more Republican-led states to follow in the Lone Star State’s footsteps.
Politicians in Arkansas, South Dakota and Florida, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), have already committed to at least looking into implementing a version of the Texas six-week abortion ban in their states.
The court’s 5-4 decision not to intervene in the Texas law that went into effect Wednesday did not determine whether the law is constitutional, while courts have ruled previous six-week bans unconstitutional.
"What they did in Texas was interesting, but I haven't really been able to look at enough about it," DeSantis told reporters on Thursday. "They've basically done this through private right of action. So, it's a little bit different than how a lot of these debates have gone. So we'll have to look, I'm gonna look more significantly at it."
Similarly, Florida Senate President Wilton Simpson (R) said the state’s lawmakers will consider mimicking Texas’s law, saying in a statement to The Hill that the legislation "represents a new approach," and the Supreme Court’s decision not to intervene is "encouraging."
"As an adoptive child myself, it’s important to me that we do everything we can to promote adoption and prevent abortion; therefore, I think it’s worthwhile to take a look at the Texas law and see if there is more we can do here in Florida," he said.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Army Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said it’s "possible" the United States will seek to coordinate with the Taliban on counterterrorism strikes in Afghanistan against Islamic State militants or others.
Milley did not elaborate, and his comment Wednesday did not appear to suggest immediate plans to work with the Taliban.
U.S. military commanders coordinated daily with Taliban commanders outside the Kabul airport over the past three weeks to facilitate the evacuation of more than 124,000 people. But that was a matter of convenience for both parties and not necessarily a sign that they will pursue, or even want, a regular relationship in the future.
The U.S. military ousted the Taliban from power in the fall of 2001 and fought against them for the 19 years that followed.
The extent and nature of a U.S.-Taliban relationship, now that the war is over, is one of the key issues to be worked out. The U.S. diplomatic presence in Kabul has been moved to Doha, Qatar. President Joe Biden has noted several times recently that the Taliban are avowed enemies of the Islamic State group in Afghanistan, suggesting a shared interest with the United States.

You talk about the pols in Chicago working with the gangs, you ain't seen nothing yet - Mark "here hold my beer" Milley.
[AP] WASHINGTON — U.S. officials are looking into reports that in the frantic evacuation of desperate Afghans from Kabul, older men were admitted together with young girls they claimed as "brides" or otherwise sexually abused.
U.S. officials at intake centers in the United Arab Emirates and in Wisconsin have identified numerous incidents in which Afghan girls have been presented to authorities as the "wives" of much older men. While child marriage is not uncommon in Afghanistan, the U.S. has strict policies against human trafficking that include prosecutions for offenders and sanctions for countries that don’t crack down on it.
One internal document seen by The Associated Press says the State Department has sought "urgent guidance" from other agencies after purported child brides were brought to Fort McCoy in Wisconsin. Another document, described to the AP by officials familiar with it, says Afghan girls at a transit site in Abu Dhabi have alleged they have been raped by older men they were forced to marry in order to escape Afghanistan.
The State Department had no immediate comment on the documents or the veracity of the details in them. Officials say that they take all such allegations seriously but that many of them are anecdotal and difficult to prove, particularly amid the crush of Afghan evacuees at multiple locations in the Middle East, Europe and the United States.

Think of these Afghan men as shock troops for the normalization of pedophilia sought by some of the woke. I expect at least a couple of articles "contextualizing" the practice.

Gunshot? How many of the US dead also suffered Small Arms Fire (SAF), and from where? No word on the DoD, Army, USMC, Navy investigation. All combat casualties (KIA) are investigated, right ?
[IsraelTimes] US President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S., who gives the term geriatric a bad name. He blames Afghans for losing Afghanistan.... on Friday directed the declassification of certain documents related to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, a supportive gesture to victims’ families who have long sought the records in hopes of implicating the Saudi government.
The order, coming little more than a week before the 20th anniversary of the attacks, is a significant moment in a yearslong tussle between the government and the families over what classified information about the run-up to the attacks could be made public. That conflict was on display last month when many relatives, survivors and first responders came out against Biden’s participation in 9/11 memorial events if the documents remained declassified.
Biden said Friday that he was making good on a campaign commitment by ordering the declassification review and pledged that his administration "will continue to engage respectfully with members of this community."
"The significant events in question occurred two decades ago or longer, and they concern a tragic moment that continues to resonate in American history and in the lives of so many Americans," the executive order states. "It is therefore critical to ensure that the United States Government maximizes transparency, relying on classification only when narrowly tailored and necessary."
The order directs the Justice Department and other executive branch agencies to begin a declassification review, and requires that declassified documents be released over the next six months.

Agree. What took you so long?
And how about this...get on with the KSM trial in GTMO...this declassification (while appreciated) is political "but Bush" kabuki theater otherwise.
[Human Events] In a move possibly triggered by news and social media pressures, Chase Bank has walked back its cancelation of Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s credit card.
As previously reported by Human Events News, Flynn, former Trump National Security Adviser and director of the Defense Intelligence Agency during the Obama administration, shared to Telegram a letter from Chase Bank notifying him that his credit cards will be cancelled.
"After careful consideration, we decided to close your credit cards on September 18, 2021 because continuing the relationship creates possible reputational risk to our company," the update read.
"Chase Bank has gone full-blown woke!" Flynn posted.
Chase claims the letter was sent by mistake. The account holder was Flynn’s wife, Lori, the Daily Mail reports.
"We’ve contacted our customer to let her know that we made an error," a spokesperson for the bank said. "And we apologized for any inconvenience this caused."
Flynn addressed the situation again on Telegram Monday, per Yahoo News.
"I pray Chase Bank and all their cancel culture partners think twice about what they are doing to destroy the fabric of our constitution," he wrote. "Trust me, the heart and soul of America will NEVER be broken. We the people will prevail."

[AnNahar] The United Arab Emirates sent a plane carrying "urgent medical and food aid" to Afghanistan on Friday, the official WAM news agency said, nearly three weeks after the Taliban ...Arabic for students... 's takeover.
The "assistance comes within the framework of the humanitarian role being played by the UAE to provide full support to brotherly Afghan people in such current circumstances," WAM said.
The UAE foreign ministry confirmed to AFP that "this is the first (Emirati) aid flight since the recent events in Afghanistan."
Taliban fighters celebrated with gunfire on Tuesday, hours after the last U.S. forces abandoned Kabul, closing a frenzied airlift operation that saw more than 123,000 foreign nationals and Afghans flee.
The UAE is one of a number of Gulf states that have been instrumental staging posts for evacuation flights for foreigners and Afghans, along with Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. [AnNahar] EU countries on Friday laid out their conditions for stepping up engagement with the Taliban ...Arabic for students... , agreeing to establish a joint Kabul "presence" to help departures if security allows.
"We have to engage with the new government in Afghanistan, which doesn't mean recognition, it's an operational engagement," EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said, following a meeting of the bloc's foreign ministers in Slovenia.
"This operational engagement will increase depending on the behaviour of this government."
He laid out a raft of "benchmarks" that the new authorities would have to meet as the Taliban gears up to announce a new government after seizing power.
These included Afghanistan not serving as a base for terrorism, respecting the rights of women and the media, the establishment of an "inclusive and representative" government, and allowing access for aid.
In addition, he said that the Taliban must live up to its commitment to allow foreign nationals and Afghans at "risk" to leave after the U.S.-led evacuations ended at the end of August.
Borrell said EU countries agreed to establish a joint presence in Kabul if security allows to deal with the Taliban and ensure the departure of Afghans the bloc had been unable to get out of the country.
EU diplomats have left Afghanistan for neighboring countries or to return to their homelands.
On humanitarian aid, Borrell said the EU would look to step up its help for the Afghan people but would judge the authorities "according to the access they provide."
The EU is also looking to bolster coordination with Afghanistan's neighbors as it looks to stave off a large-scale flow of migrants colonists from the country to Europe.
Borrell said that the bloc would look to set up a "regional political platform" with the countries around Afghanistan aimed at helping to stabilize the situation.
[ToloNews] Clashes between Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... forces and the resistance front are ongoing with both sides claiming to have caused heavy casualties to the opposing side.
The resistance front says the Taliban’s heavy attacks on Panjshir were pushed back and the Taliban forces suffered heavy casualties during the fighting.
Fahim Fetrat, a member of the resistance front, said that the Taliban forces attacked Panjshir from four directions but were unable to enter Panjshir.
"Hundreds of enemy forces have been killed, maimed and arrested by the national resistance front forces. Tens of their armored vehicles have been set on fire and they remain in the area. They have lost several areas in Gulbahar and Jabal Saraj," Fetrat said.
The Taliban, meanwhile, denied their forces had sustained casualties and said they had advanced in Panjshir from several directions.
"The Mujahideen have made advances into Panjshir’s Paryan district from Warsaj (district) in Takhar and Kiran Wa Manjan (district) in Badakhshan and they have met there. The Mujahideen also advanced into Panjshir from the direction of Kapisa. The central areas of Panjshir’s Shotul district are still under the control of the Islamic Emirate forces," said Anaamullah Samangani, a member of the cultural commission of the Taliban.
Videos on social media show heavy fighting ongoing between the two sides.
Meanwhile, ...back at the barn, a little lightbulb figuratively appeared over Bossy's head... Afghan Former President Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai ...One of the more egregious mistakes of the post 9-11 era... in a statement on Friday urged both sides to stop fighting and to resolve their issues with dialogue.
"I urge both sides to resolve the problem through negotiations so that our suffering nation can enjoy full-fledged peace and prosperity," the statement reads.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said everyone wants the Taliban and other ethnic and political groups to reach an agreement and form an inclusive government.
[KhaamaPress] Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan claims to have captured the Shutul district of Panjshir province but resistance forces have denied the claim.
Acting minister of culture and information and spokesperson of the Taliban ...Arabic for students... , Zabiullah Mujahid said that eleven outposts have also been taken and over 30 resistance forces have been killed.
Meanwhile, ...back at the precinct house, Sergeant Maloney wasn't buying it. It was just too pat. The whole thing smelled phony, kind of like a dead mackeral but without the scales... unconfirmed reports by the Taliban read that the districts of Paryan and Onaba districts of the province have also been taken.
It has been the fourth day since the heavy conflicts erupted in Panjshir province between the resistance forces of the province and the Taliban.
A spokesperson of resistance forces Fahim Dashti in a voice clip denied the capture of Shutul district and claimed to have driven back the Taliban fighters in the district.
Dashti claimed that tens of dead bodies of the Taliban fighters are left on the ground and the latter asked tribal elders of Parwan province to mediate and let them take their dead bodies.
Pictures leaked from the Panjshir province show that the fighters in Panjshir province are using rocket launchers, missiles, and other weapons from the era of the Soviet Union.
The resistance forces also claim to have killed 350 Taliban fighters and maimed 290 more.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The Taliban ...Arabic for students... are due to form a government within days despite fighting in Afghanistan’s Panjshir Valley Friday where forces battling the gunnies say they are enduring "heavy" assaults.
The Taliban face the enormous challenge of shifting gears from murderous Moslem group to governing power, days after the United States fully withdrew its troops and ended two decades of war.
But they are still battling to extinguish the last flame of resistance in the Panjshir Valley -- which held out for a decade against the Soviet Union’s occupation and also the Taliban’s first rule from 1996-2001.
Late Friday, celebratory gunfire rang across Kabul as rumors spread that the valley had fallen, but the Taliban made no official claim and a resident told AFP by phone that the reports were false.
Fighters from the National Resistance® Front -- made up of anti-Taliban militia and former Afghan cops -- are understood to have significant weapon stockpiles in the valley, which lies around 80 kilometers (50 miles) north of Kabul.
Earlier Friday pro-Taliban Twitter accounts aired video clips purporting to show the new regime’s fighters had captured tanks and other heavy military equipment inside the valley.
Taliban and resistance tweets suggested the key district of Paryan had been taken and lost again, but that could also not be independently verified.
While the West has adopted a wait-and-see approach to the group, there were some signs of engagement with the new leaders gathering pace.
China confirmed a tweet from a Taliban front man hours earlier, indicating that Beijing will keep its embassy in Kabul open.
"We hope the Taliban will establish an open and inclusive political structure, pursue moderate and stable domestic and foreign policy and make a clean break with all terrorist groups," foreign ministry front man Wang Wenbin said.
The United Nations ...a formerly good idea gone bad... said it had restarted humanitarian flights to parts of the country, linking the Pak capital Islamabad with Mazar-e-Sharif in northern Afghanistan and Kandahar in the south.
The country’s flag carrier Ariana Afghan Airlines resumed domestic flights on Friday, while the United Arab Emirates sent a plane carrying "urgent medical and food aid".
Western Union and Moneygram, meanwhile, said they were restarting money transfers, which many Afghans rely on from relatives abroad to survive, and Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... said it was working to reopen the airport in Kabul -- a lifeline for aid.

[IsraelTimes] ’Tactical Rabbi’ Raziel Cohen creates modified kapota that closes with snaps, making it easier to draw a firearm.
Rabbi Raziel Cohen doesn’t want you to have to draw a gun in synagogue. But if you must, he doesn’t want you to waste precious time unbuttoning your kapota, a type of jacket worn by men in the Chabad Hasidic community on Shabbat and Jewish holidays.
So Cohen, a firearms instructor who goes by the moniker "The Tactical Rabbi," worked with Shaul Snovsky, who sells kapotas in South Florida, to create the Tactical Kapota. The jacket, which looks like any other kapota, closes with snaps instead of buttons for easy opening. Its cost: $550.
"The issue came up with when you wear a kapota ... the ’gartel’ gets in the way and the kapota gets in the way and it can make it dangerous to draw your weapon," Cohen said, using the Yiddish word for the belt worn over the kapota.
By adding snaps underneath the buttons, the Tactical Kapota looks like a regular jacket.
"Usually in a shul we try to keep a low profile, we don’t want to look like we’re in a war zone," Cohen said.
A video ad for the kapota shows a man studying in a synagogue when the building is attacked. The man fumbles to unbutton his kapota to reach his holstered gun until the words "every second counts" flash across the screen. The video then shows the man unsnapping the Tactical Kapota in seconds before drawing his gun.
Snovsky said some people thought the video wasn’t for real. It’s completely serious, he insists.
"I’m not selling fear over here, I’m selling awareness," he said. "Some people are calling me and saying is it a joke, and it’s not a joke. You just never thought about it."

[NYPOST] President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. Being a self-defined foreign policy whiz kid means never having to say you're sorry...... is scheduled to spend at least part of Labor Day weekend at his home in Delaware despite the ongoing fallout from the chaotic evacuation of Afghanistan that has left dozens of American citizens and thousands of the US military’s Afghan allies in Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... -controlled territory. The White House says Biden will head to Wilmington after a full day of visiting Louisiana communities devastated by Hurricane Ida. Before he departs the executive mansion for New Orleans Friday morning, the president is scheduled to give remarks on the August jobs report.
Biden was supposed to go to Delaware two weekends ago, but his trip was initially pushed back and then scrapped due to the ongoing withdrawal from Afghanistan — which was then in its final phases — as well as the approach of Hurricane Henri toward the northeastern US.

His leaving D.C. is not an issue, it's his returning that's problematic.
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] Radio host John Fredericks joined Steve Bannon on Friday morning to drop this EXPLOSIVE development in Georgia.
According to John Fredericks state officials now have video of 240 leftist operatives he called "ballot traffickers" dumping tens of thousands of ballots into drop boxes in the middle of the night in locations across Georgia.
The leftist operatives were identified making numerous drops in the middle of the night. They were filmed emptying their backpacks of ballots into the drop boxes in the middle of the night. Ballot harvesting is not legal in Georgia.

It's a time consuming, arduous process sometimes taking months, even YEARS !

Even if they accept as proven that those were indeed illegally harvested and handled ballots it changes nothing, because there is no way to prove the votes were not legally cast nor for whom, and I do not know of a mechanism for 'undoing' an election once it has been certified.

I do not know of a mechanism for 'undoing' At some point an enterprising court could easily come up with an emanation of a penumbra to accomplish this. It would depend on the cast of characters.

[Jpost] Egypt has destroyed more than 3,000 tunnels along its border with the Gaza Strip in the past six years.
Three Palestinians died on Thursday as the Egyptian military pumped toxic gas into a smuggling tunnel, Palestinian media reported.
The tunnel stretches from the Gaza Strip to the Sinai peninsula.
In 2019, two Palestinians died and several others wounded after Egyptian troops pumped toxic fumes into a smuggling tunnel stretching into the Sinai Peninsula from the Gaza Strip. In February 2017, three Palestinians were killed in a tunnel between Gaza and Sinai in similar circumstances.
“In 2015, the [Egyptian] government took a decision to establish a buffer zone along the border [with the Gaza Strip]. These tunnels were used to threaten Egypt’s national security, including the infiltration of terrorists, smuggling of weapons, ammunition, goods, narcotic drugs and vehicles. We established the buffer zone in stages because residents had to be relocated. They have received compensation," he said in an interview given to Egyptian news channel Extra News in 2020.
The Egyptian security forces were continuing their “heroic actions to defeat terrorists” in the Sinai Peninsula, he said, adding that 126 terrorists were killed during the recent military operation there.

[NYPOST] Mayor Comrade Bill de Blasio ...cryptocommie mayor of New York and for some reason a Dem candidate for president in 2020. Corrupt and incompetent, his qualifications for office seem to consist of being married to a black woman, with whom he honeymooned in Cuba. He has a preppy-looking son named Dante, whose Divine Comedy involved getting his back hair up when a police car drove past him slowly. New Yorkers voted for him, so they deserve him... admitted Friday that he is "absolutely" considering future political office — which could include running to be New York governor in 2022.
Hizzoner initially sidestepped his ambitions when asked about speculation on MSNBC’s "Morning Joe," saying his focus was on collaborating and working with Gov. Kathy Hochul and "bringing this city back" after the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... and the wrath of Hurricane Ida.
"The politics, that’s next year," de Blasio told guest host Willie Geist.
"But look, I believe in public service. I’ve done it my whole life. I want to keep working on crucial issues and causes," he said of his future once he leaves City Hall.
"So we’ll see what the future brings," he said teasingly.
Geist put him on the spot, asking if it was "fair to say" that the mayor was "at least considering the run" for governor.
"I want to keep serving in one way or another in the future, so I’m going to look at different options. Absolutely," he said.

And it's not that rig crew and oilfield people are violent by nature, but they are a group that stands on their own feet and is proud of their hard work.
POSTED ON SEPTEMBER 3, 2021 BY STEVEN HAYWARD IN CHINA, CLIMATE
Thank you for adding the above, Abu Uluque. It enabled me to find the article after you forgot to paste the URL into the Source box and also did not put the name of the website in square brackets at the top of the text. But doing the other things would have been easier for both of us.
[Powerline]There is little doubt that China was already giddy that they get to deal with U.S. "climate envoy" John Kerry, but having watched Biden’s weakness in Afghanistan, they aren’t even being coy about it any more. They are openly telling Kerry that the U.S. won’t get any Chinese cooperation on climate change unless the U.S. backs off pressuring China on other issues, such as trade, human rights, etc. The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday:
HONG KONG—Senior Chinese officials told U.S. climate envoy John Kerry that continued U.S. hostility on a range of issues could jeopardize cooperation on fighting climate change, though Mr. Kerry said that working-level talks were productive in the run-up to a November climate summit.
Mr. Kerry, wrapping up a two-day visit to the northern port city of Tianjin, was warned repeatedly by his hosts that climate cooperation couldn’t be kept separate from worsening geopolitical ties between the two countries.
On Thursday, Yang Jiechi, leader Xi Jinping’s top foreign-policy aide, told Mr. Kerry in a video call that the U.S. had interfered in China’s internal affairs and harmed its interests, causing difficulties in the bilateral relationship.
A day earlier, China’s foreign minister, Wang Yi, while describing climate-change cooperation as an oasis in the desert, said that "cooperation on climate change cannot be divorced from the overall situation of China-U.S. relations."
Given how single-minded Democrats are on climate change, expect them to cave to China. And since China’s climate pledges always involve action many years in the future, they don’t actually have to do anything for the duration of the Harris-Biden administration.
Another sign that the ChiComms are fast learners: back in the Cold War, it was the U.S. that insisted on "linkage" in arms talks with the Soviet Union. Now it’s China that wants linkage, and the U.S. that is resisting it. Whatcha gonna do about, Joe? How does a greenie-weenie president justify trade with a hostile totalitarian communist dictatorship that also happens to be the world's biggest emitter of hydrocarbon?

[SHAFAQ] On Friday, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... Attacked the Makhmur camp in Nineveh Governorate.
A security source told Shafaq News Agency that a drone targeted a PKK security point near the Camp.
He did not give further details.
It is worth noting that last May, The Ottoman Turkish aircraft had raided the camp, saying it targeted PKK fighters.
The Makhmur refugee camp, founded in 1998, is located in the , Iraq.
About 12,000 Kurdish refugees, who fled the civil war between Kurds and the Ottoman Turkish state in the 1990s, live in this refugee camp.
Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than there are in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really most important... threatened that Turkey would "cleanse the Makhmur camp" which it says shelters PKK fighters.
“At around 8:20 am, today [Friday] Turkish airplanes hit an empty house in Makhmour camp,” the source, who preferred to stay anonymous, said. No casualties were reported, they added.
Media affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) Roj News also reported the attack saying the attack shattered the windows of some houses and damaged the houses of some civilians.
Ankara believes the camp has close ties with the PKK, an armed Kurdish group that is on Turkey’s terror list. The PKK, which fights for greater rights for Kurds in Turkey, has its headquarters in the Kurdistan Region’s Qandil mountains.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told state-owned TRT last month that their next target after Qandil is Makhmour. "Makhmour is almost the incubation nest of Qandil. This brood nest is flourishing in the city centre. If we do not go after this, this brood nest will continue to produce,” he said. "We care about Makhmour as much as Qandil."

[NYPOST] An Afghan man who was evacuated from the war-torn country to Germany has been detained after he was flagged during a security screening, America’s top military commander in Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... said Thursday.Air Force Gen. Tod Wolters, the head of US European Command, told news hounds during a phone briefing at the Pentagon that the man was "not of a high threat as far as I know." Wolters also declined to say what brought the man to authorities’ attention, saying the information was "protected."
"That individual is currently in the appropriate custody of U.S. interagency officials, and Germany has been very, very cooperative, and we are still working his background investigation," he said.
Wolters did not say when the man was detained, but noted that Ramstein began processing Afghan evacuees on Aug. 20. The general added that 58 Afghans were in need of further screening, but "I anticipate that all 58 will probably clear."
Wolters explained the initial screening of evacuees takes place soon after they arrive at the base and involves a "biometric and biographic screening so that through DOD [Defense Department] channels, through CBP [Customs and Border Protection] channels, and through FBI ...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time... channels, we have comprehensively scrutinized their background." As the Afghans prepare to depart, he added, "they’ll be screened one more time to make sure that from a biometric and biographical standpoint, cleared through DOD, CBP and FBI, that they continue to remain in the green."

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Fighting broke out in Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... early on Friday between rival armed forces, witnesses said, the heaviest festivities in the Libyan capital since the conflict between eastern and western factions paused a year ago.
A resident of the Salah al-Din district in southern Tripoli said shooting began at about 2:30 am and continued through the morning with medium and light weapons. There was no immediate report of casualties.
Conflict in Tripoli between the gangs who vie to control both territory and state institutions would further undermine the prospect of December elections as part of a plan to end a decade of chaos, violence and division.
Despite a ceasefire and progress earlier this year towards a political solution to Libya’s crisis, there has been no movement towards integrating its myriad gangs into a unified national military.
Libya is a major oil producer and though it has been able to maintain output over the past decade, disputes have sometimes shut down exports, including for months last year.
The new fighting pitted the 444 Brigade against the Stabilization Support Force, two of the main forces in Tripoli, a witness said.
It follows major festivities last month in the city of Zawiya, west of Tripoli, and smaller incidents of friction or festivities inside the capital including a shootout this week at a state institution.
In eastern Libya, controlled by Khalifa Haftar ...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all. Actually, he is, but slowly... ’s Libyan National Army (LNA), there have also been shootings and other incidents of violence in recent months.
Libya has had little peace since the 2011 NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... -backed uprising that overthrew longtime ruler Muammar al-Qadaffy, and it divided in 2014 between warring eastern and western factions.
However, facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable... they agreed a ceasefire last year and a new unity government that both sides backed was installed in March to prepare for national elections in December, moves seen as the best chance for peace in years.
The Tripoli-based Government of National Unity (GNU) has however struggled to unify state institutions or prepare for elections, with the eastern-based parliament rejecting its budget and failing to agree a constitutional basis for a vote.
Wolfram Lacher, of the German thinktank SWP, said that although there was the possibility of further escalation, a mediated solution was likely to resolve the fighting in the short term.
However, facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable... "similar festivities are bound to recur in Tripoli and elsewhere", he added.

[FOXNEWS] A former Arizona male nurse pleaded guilty Thursday to sexually assaulting an incapacitated woman roughly three years ago at Hacienda Healthcare, a long-term care facility in Phoenix, where she later gave birth.
Defendant Nathan Sutherland also entered a guilty plea to an "abuse of a vulnerable adult" charge stemming from his treatment of the woman.
As part of a plea agreement, the sentencing range for the sexual assault charge is between 5 ¼ and 10 years in prison, while the abuse of a vulnerable adult charge brings lifetime probation.
Another former Hacienda nurse blasted the plea deal as "a slap on the wrist," and said other Hacienda colleagues were "furious" about it.
"This man did a heinous crime and he's getting a slap on the wrist and it's not right and everyone I talked to that worked at Hacienda, they're furious. None of us can believe that's all he's going to get is a slap on the wrist," said Davena Ballard, who was a nurse at a Hacienda-affiliated program, according to KPHO-TV of Phoenix.
Sutherland was arrested after police conducted a DNA test showing he was the father of the patient's baby, KPHO-TV of Phoenix reported. The patient was in the long-term care facility after a near-drowning incident left her in a vegetative state.
Following Sutherland's guilty pleas, Perry Petrilli, chief executive of Hacienda Healthcare, expressed relief.
"We have cooperated in every way possible with law enforcement and Sherlocks — and now we hope the judge will sentence Sutherland appropriately given the severity of his crimes," Petrilli said. "As ever, our hearts are with the victim and her family. May these final steps in the legal process help them find peace."
The pregnancy was discovered in December 2018 when an employee at Hacienda was changing the garments of the victim — age 29 at the time — and noticed she was in the process of delivering a child. Employees told police they had no idea the woman was pregnant.
The surprise prompted reviews by state agencies and led to the resignations of Hacienda’s chief executive and one of the victim’s doctors. It also highlighted safety concerns for severely disabled or incapacitated patients.
A lawsuit from the victim’s parents alleged that Sutherland had cared for their daughter on hundreds of occasions from 2012 through 2018, despite promises from the state that only women would tend to her. The state has contracts with companies like Hacienda to provide services to people with developmental disabilities.
Many of Sutherland’s encounters with the patient allegedly occurred overnight, when fewer staff members and visitors were around, according to an expert on behalf of the victim's family.
The victim lived at Hacienda for 26 years, until the child’s birth. Her medical conditions stemmed from a brain disorder that caused motor and cognitive impairments and vision loss. She was also left with no functional use of her limbs.
Sutherland was fired by Hacienda after his arrest and has since given up his nursing license. He was facing a maximum of 14 years in prison prior to the plea deal, FOX 10 of Phoenix reported.
A judge approved a $15 million settlement against a doctor who cared for the woman for 26 years while she lived at Hacienda. The doctor’s insurer has argued it has no obligation to pay that amount.
The state of Arizona, which contracts with companies like Hacienda to provide services to people with developmental disabilities, settled last summer for $7.5 million.
Sutherland is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 4.

[FOX] The government of South Australia, one of the country's six states, has implemented a new policy requiring Australians to use an app with facial recognition software and geolocation to prove that they are abiding by a 14-day quarantine for travel within the country.
While a conservative expert described the policy as "Orwellian," he told Fox News that it represents an improvement over the current COVID-19 policy. Australians voluntarily choose the quarantine app over alternative quarantine measures.
Australia has banned international travel, unless residents have a permit to leave the country. The country has also severely restricted domestic travel. Residents must spend 14 days in quarantine upon return.
[NYPOST] Space company Firefly launched its so-called Alpha rocket for the first time on Thursday evening, but it blew up just a couple minutes into the flight due to an "anomaly."
Video of the test flight shows the non-crewed rocket cradling toward space for more than two minutes after its successful blast-off.
Then the rocket hit supersonic speed, according to the company’s mission control audio, meaning it passed the speed of sound.
Moments later, it went kaboom!.
"Alpha experienced an anomaly during first stage ascent that resulted in the loss of the vehicle. As we gather more information, additional details will be provided," the privately held Austin, Texas-based company said in a tweet.
The 95-feet tall rocket launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, a little before 10 p.m. ET.

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] A Paleostinian man died Thursday and at least 15 more were maimed in night festivities with the Israeli army near the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip border, the local health ministry said, AFP reported.
The Times of Israel report yesterday only mentioned five injured, oddly enough. Stubbed toes and tear gas all around?
The 26-year-old man died of bullet injuries in the abdomen, it said.
That’s Ahmed Mustafa Salah, sometimes referred to as Ahmad Saleh, about whom nothing more is reported.
One of the maimed was in a serious condition.
Several factions in Gaza had called for demonstrations to protest in particular against Israel's almost 15-year-long blockade of the coastal enclave.
Earlier this week, Barel Hadaria Shmueli, an Israeli special forces sniper shot during festivities with Paleostinians on August 21, died of his injuries.
The August 21 violence left around 40 people maimed, according to Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",, Gaza's rulers, including a 12-year-old Paleostinian boy and a 32-year-old man.
It was a return to the marches of 2018, when Gazooks began a protest movement demanding an end to Israel's blockade and the right of Paleostinians to return to lands they fled or were expelled from when the Jewish state was founded.
Hamas and Israel fought a devastating 11-day conflict in May, the worst between the two sides in years, which ended with an informal truce.
But incendiary balloons have continued to be launched from the Paleostinian territory towards Israel in the months since, with Israel blaming Hamas and often retaliating with air strikes.
Israel on Wednesday said it would ease Gaza restrictions despite unrest, expanding Gaza's fishing zone, increasing its water supply and allowing more Paleostinian traders and goods to enter the Jewish state.

[Garowe] The al-Shabaab ...... al-Qaeda's tentacle in East Africa... turbans have yet again fired warning shots to elders ahead of elections in the country, a move seen as a strategy to scare them in their roles of picking delegates who are going to participate in electing Members of Parliament.
With senatorial polls already underway, community elders who have a large stake in parliamentary indirect polls, are set to pick 101 delegates from each constituency, who will eventually participate in elections. The elders will be assisted by members of the civil society.
In a statement issued through proxy media outlets, al-Shabaab spokesperson Ali Dhere warned elders and other contractors to stay away from the elections. The turbans are keen to topple the fragile UN-backed Somalia administration.
Two years ago the group gave elders 45 days to "repent" for their role in previous elections. Despite threats, citizens are excited as election fever grips the nation, Voice of America journalist Harun Maruf notes.
In July this year, the leader of al-Shabaab Ahmed Umar Abu Ubaidah
...also known as Ahmed Diriye ...
threatened electoral delegates who will be participating in upcoming elections; arguing that the group is opposed to the process. "They [leaders] will not be guaranteeing your safety," he said in purported audio published by the bad boy media
It's unclear where or when Abu Ubaidah’s speech was recorded but he mentions the bad boy group’s attack on Bosaso prison in March, and the Somali parliament’s term extension in April and the political stalemate that followed almost gives a clue.
Early this week, UK ambassador to Somalia Kate Foster also raised concerns about the possibility of al-Shabaab infiltrating the elections. She insisted that the country should ensure selection of delegates is transparent.
For the credibility of the polls to improve, Ms. Foster said there is a need to look into the delegate selection process, which she believes paves way for possible infiltration. A number of local elders and members of civil society will be tasked to pick delegates.
"Yeah, I mean it is [Al-shabaab threat] it is a concern. I think what is important is that to come back to the delegate selection process, I think how that process happens matters and makes a quite significant difference," she said. "The credibility of the process ahead of us. I think once we’re through this election, there will be a conversation."
She seems nice...
Stakeholders settled on indirect elections after months of wrangles thus making it difficult for implementation of the universal suffrage elections. Initially, the country was preparing for direct polls but implementation became difficult.
In the future, Ms. Foster says the country just rethink holding direct polls which minimize al-Shabaab influence on the ballot. There are concerns that some elders could be compromised by the turbans to pick delegates in a manner that favors them.
"I hope that will very much be led by, um, the people of Somalia about how we move to a voting system that really is very accountable to the people of Somalia in a way that perhaps doesn’t entirely exist with the current process," she noted.
[KATU] The Portland City Council will consider an emergency resolution next week to consider a ban on goods and services from Texas, amid controversy over abortion rights. In other news, I intend to beat up the meanest linebacker in the NFL if he doesn't start playing better.
They’re giving up gasoline? Toyotas? Texas Instruments calculators? That’ll be interesting.
In a statement released on Friday, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler said the council will take up the emergency resolution on September 8 with the intent "to ban the city's future procurement of goods and services from, and city employee business travel to, the state of Texas." If the ban is approved, the mayor said it would remain in effect until the state "withdraws it unconstitutional ban on abortion or until it is overturned in court." One problem I see here, Ted, is that Texas could buy Portland as an impulse item. Texas: "I'll take two beef jerkys, a Snickers Bar, and the City of Portland." Cashier: "Sir, are you sure you want to do that? We've had a lot of complaints."
The controversial Texas law, that is now in effect, bans abortions as early as six weeks. It was signed into law back in May by Gov. Greg Abbott, but has received its fair share of criticism from women's rights advocates, abortion activists and abortion providers. One exemption to the law would be a medical emergency where the woman's life or fetus life is at risk, or the heartbeat is undetected.
"Portland City Council stands with the people who may one day face difficult decisions about pregnancy, and we respect their right to make the best decision for themselves," the council's statement read. One council, one Ranger.

When I was in Portland back in 1990 there was a legal battle between 2 California organic farming invaders and a family of farmers whose forebears went to Oregon in the late 1800's. The invaders were planting "organic" chard and selling the seeds as non-gmo. They planted right next to a field where the old family had planted chard for consumption that was gmo. The invaders claimed that the gmo chard was pollinating their chard thus making it impossible to sell their seeds as non-gma. They sued to have the old family quit planting chard. The court sided with the invaders. That's when I knew Oregon was on the downward slide.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Republicans accuse Biden and Pelosi of an 'abuse of power' for vow to use the federal government and Congress to undermine the Supreme Court's Texas' abortion law decision
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Tunisia’s powerful labor union on Friday called on the president to propose changes to the political system and put them to a referendum after his seizure of governing powers in July in a move critics called a coup.
The UGTT union, which has so far backed President Kais Saied since he sacked the prime minister, suspended parliament and said he was taking over executive authority, has for weeks urged him to name a government and announce a roadmap for the crisis.
On Friday, its leader Noureddine Taboubi, also indicated it would back changes to the constitution and political system, blaming them for the gridlock that preceded Saied’s intervention on July 25.
"The main problem in Tunisia is the political and constitutional system that has crippled everything and left no way for progress," he told news hounds, adding that any changes must be put to a referendum.
The president’s actions appear to have widespread support after years of economic stagnation and political paralysis.
However, some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them... Saied’s delay in appointing a new government or announcing his longer-term plans has caused jitters among some Tunisians fearing a lack of direction in the face of major economic challenges or even a return to autocracy.
The president has rejected that, saying his actions were lawful and that rights will be upheld, and dismissing concerns over the lack of clarity about his next steps.
"We demand the speedy formation of the government to resolve urgent files such as unemployment, education, health, and the economic and social situation," Taboubi said.

[NYPOST] The New Jersey corpse count from Hurricane Ida rose overnight to 25 — and will "sadly likely" increase again with at least six people still missing, Gov. Phil Murphy said Friday.
"We’re still not out of the woods," Murphy warned on the "Today" show as he announced the latest heartbreaking tally.
"We still have a lot of damage that we’re dealing with, [and] we still have floodwaters that are significantly higher than normal," he said of the "historic" storm.
"We’ll get back on our feet — but it may be a long road," he warned of the devastation suffered across the Garden State.
Murphy noted that the tornado that destroyed parts of the state — destroying some house — "did not take any lives" as "everybody went down into the basement and they lived."
Instead, "all of these deaths are related in either directly or indirectly to flooding in water, either in cars or homes," Murphy said.
"It’s an absolute tragedy, bless their souls," he said.

"Preparations have been made with the Ministry of Migration and Displacement and the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the foundation is now waiting for the completion of legal procedures with the Ottoman Turkish government to return all migrants colonists," Jalal said, noting that the refugees' health condition is good, and that they are now safe in a camp.
The organization had revealed, last August, that the Ottoman Turkish authorities had handed over dozens of Kurdish immigrants colonists from the Kurdistan Region to Jabhat al-Nusra in northern Syria.
A statement by the organization at the time said, "The Ottoman Turkish authorities have handed over about sixty Kurdish immigrants colonists from Southern Kurdistan (Iraqi Kurdistan) to Jabhat al-Nusra Lions of Islam in northern Syria.

[NYPOST] A rogue 911 phone operator in New Orleans allegedly hung up on callers who dialed the emergency response line for help.
Precious Stephens, 25, faces charges of malfeasance and interfering with an emergency communication after disconnecting phone calls without getting any information or relaying the incidents to emergency dispatchers, the New Orleans Police Department said.
The Orleans Gay Pareeh Communications District reported Stephens to police on Aug. 23 after investigating a random set of calls with Stephens during her shifts on Aug. 20 and Aug. 21, officials told NOLA.com.
"(The district) has and will continue to cooperate with the ... investigation into this matter and is dedicated to providing any and all assistance to aid in (the) efforts," read a statement from the communications district.

To her credit it is hard to understand the Napkins accent. Or the way they phrase things, for example:
A 911 operator is sitting at her desk when she gets a call.
"911 What's your emergency?" She answers.
"My friend and I were walking through the woods when he just collapsed. I think he died." A man responds. He is very nervous
"Ok, calm down. First, make sure he's dead." The operator replies.
There's a silence on the phone. Then, there's a gunshot.
What was her reason?
Was it truly random, social level, location, Racially motivated, or was it because she did not want to risk damaging her "Precious" fingernails?
One things for sure, Social Media scrubbed links to her accounts quickly.

.Syrian TV showed scenes of air defenses shooting at targets over the city.
"Our air defense confronted the aggressor's missiles and shot down most of them, and the losses were limited to materiel," the statement said.
The Israeli military declined comment on the reported strike in Syria.
[IsraelTimes] The Israeli Air Force struck and destroyed a Syrian missile battery after it launched a missile that went kaboom! near central Israel early Friday morning, according to Hebrew media reports Friday evening on Channel 12 and Army Radio.
The Syrian air defense missile flew over Israeli skies before exploding over the Mediterranean Sea, the Israel Defense Forces said. Missile fragments were later found in the Tel Aviv area. Incoming rocket warning sirens were not sounded, in keeping with the military’s policy of not triggering alarms for projectiles headed toward unpopulated areas.
The Syrian military fired the missile in response to what Syrian state media said were Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s near Damascus. Israeli officials believe the missile was not intentionally fired at Israeli territory.
According to Channel 12, those Israeli strikes apparently targeted an advanced weapons facility, possibly a Hezbollah site for the production of precision-guided missiles. The report did not cite any sources.
There were no reports of injuries or damage in Israel as a result of the fallen missile fragments.

[FoxNews] Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas promised to "swiftly and safely" resettle thousands of Afghan allies into the United States and confirmed that DHS has denied evacuees from entering the U.S. due to "derogatory" information obtained during the vetting process.
Mayorkas was joined by Robert J. Fenton Jr., senior response official of the Unified Coordination Group, during a press conference Friday to discuss Operation Allies Welcome – created to help thousands of vulnerable Afghan evacuees from Afghanistan assimilate into the United States.
The DHS secretary told reporters that roughly over 40,000 American citizens and Afghan partners have arrived into the U.S. from Afghanistan and are undergoing an initial processing at predesignated U.S. military bases prior to being resettled into communities. He touted the robust biometric screening and vetting process in place, in both the U.S. and transit countries, in order to make sure every individual entering the country is properly screened.
In response to a question from Fox News' Jake Gibson, Mayorkas confirmed that there already have been individuals flagged with "derogatory information" during the vetting process, and the U.S. is working with transit countries on what to do with those individuals. The secretary did not specify the number of people flagged or their present locations.
Mayorkas said that 400 employees from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the U.S. Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) have been deployed to assist the vetting process. The government also shipped hundreds of biometric machines to transit countries to aid the effort.
Eight military bases have been designated by the Pentagon to house refugees and are providing medical care, language access services and medical assistance. The goal of the operation is to move Afghans off the bases and resettled into the U.S. as "swiftly and safely" as possible, said Mayorkas.
Mayorkas also stated that the United States has admitted a "small number" of unaccompanied children who have been evacuated from Afghanistan and he anticipated that there may be more that will arrive. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is working with DHS on that effort, including international and nonprofit organizations, who are facilitating care and other resources.
Fenton said DHS is taking "every precaution" to help stop the spread of COVID by testing all evacuees upon arrival and offering vaccines.

[IsraelTimes] More than 30 Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, children are stuck in Afghanistan after they traveled to the country to see their relatives weeks before the Taliban ...Arabic for students... seized power and were unable to get out before US forces left, according to school districts where the kids are enrolled.
Officials with three school districts — one in the San Diego area and two in Sacramento — say they have been in contact with the families who fear they have been forgotten by the US government. The officials say that some of the children were born in the United States and are US citizens.
Nearly all of the children returned to Afghanistan with one or both parents in the spring or early summer to visit relatives. The families traveled on their own to the country and were not part of any organized trips.
Many of the families arrived in the US years ago after obtaining special immigrant visas granted to Afghans who had worked for the US government or US military over the past two decades.
Some of the families told school district officials that they had made attempts to get on planes at the airport in Kabul but were unable get through Taliban checkpoints or through the throngs of Afghans surrounding the airport over the past two weeks. The US ended its evacuation efforts and withdrew its forces on Monday.
[NYPOST] Two homeless men attacked a father of five with a machete at a Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, beach — leaving him with gruesome injuries, authorities said.
The family from out of town was eating lunch on Dan Blocker Beach in Malibu Sunday when two homeless men approached, telling them they "were not allowed" there, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
An argument ensued and one of the suspects, Richard Franck, pulled out a machete and started hacking at the father, cutting the man’s upper torso and hand, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Franck and another homeless man, Benjamin Mast, then proceeded to chase the family of five from the beach back to a parking lot near the Pacific Coast Highway, deputies told the Malibu Times.
Some 20 officers responded to the scene, and Franck and Mast were later arrested following a brief standoff at the parking lot, where they had "locked themselves" into a restroom, LASD officials told the newspaper.
"Through different statements from the suspect and the accomplice, the weapon was located stashed in some bushes down by the beach," LASD Lt. Jim Braden said.

Wonder what would have happened on a open carry Texas beach?
#2
You shouldn't need a gun for a family picnic on the beach. Most likely, if the father had used a gun, he would have been the one who was arrested and he wouldn't be promptly released the way LA's DA George Gascon is likely to do for the two homeless men. You see, in Newsom's California, the homeless are free to do whatever they want while the rest of us pay.

[IsraelTimes] Metropolitan Police say 28-year-old man held in custody on suspicion of carrying out 5 ‘unprovoked assaults on Jewish people’ over last month
London Metropolitan Police on Thursday arrested a man suspected of carrying out five “unprovoked assaults on Jewish people” over the past month in the heavily Jewish neighborhood of Stamford Hill.
The 28-year-old man was being held in custody on suspicion of “racially aggravated assaults,” the force said in a Thursday statement.
Police had been searching for the suspect since he was filmed two weeks ago assaulting a Jewish man and a child on the street in separate incidents on the same day.
In those attacks, police said the suspect struck a 64-year-old victim in the face, causing him to fall to the ground and suffer facial injuries and a broken foot, and, separately, punched a 14-year-old boy in the face, without causing lasting injuries.
Security footage of the incidents showed a tall man dressed in traditional Muslim garb.
In a separate incident on August 18, the suspect struck a 30-year-old man on the head with a bottle, police said. The victim did not sustain any injuries.
Additionally, officers have also been informed of a fourth and fifth victim who have yet to contact police, the statement said, adding that “enquiries to speak to them were ongoing.”
Local media has reported another incident suspected to have been carried out by the same man, on August 12, when a 72-year-old man was slapped and had his kippah knocked off his head.
The assaults are part of a major increase in the number of antisemitic incidents recorded in the United Kingdom this year by the Community Security Trust watch-group.
In the first half of 2021, CST recorded the highest-ever number of antisemitic incidents in any six month period since it began monitoring the issue in the 1980s. The tally for January-June in 2021 was 1,308 incidents, compared to 875 in the corresponding period the previous year. The total for 2020 was 1,668 incidents.
The spike in incidents is partially connected to the exchange of fire between Hamas and Israel in May, CST said. More than 600 of the 1,308 incidents recorded in the first half of 2021 occurred in May.
...or not. Read on, dear Reader, for the tangled tale — perhaps you can figure out what really happened.
[Garowe] The National Intelligence and Security Agency [NISA] has confirmed the death of one of its agents, bringing to an end a dramatic search that has lasted for almost three months, a case that further tarnished FGS credibility.

Death Eaters before being murdered in an undisclosed location in the country.

[MSN] When Justice Anthony Kennedy cynically retired the next year so that the Republicans could solidify their hard core majority by installing a political hack by the name of Brett Kavanaugh, it was all over but the shouting. The 5-4 majority to overturn Roe vs Wade was on the court.
Liberal Tears with a whine chaser.
And the sad thing is that there are people who believe this (highly entertaining) crap!

People too dumb, lazy or stupid to use contraception should not reproduce. Sterilization, not abortion, is the answer to that.
My impression is that people who abort babies are in a much better position* to bring them up than people who keep them in order to have a lifeline to welfare bennies. Many abortions are carried out so that young people can go to college or career women can continue working without the bother of a child. The welfare leeches don't abort their kids. Think of the foster child racket but with a biological link. For welfare leeches, kids are a meal ticket, so abortions are a no-no.
* And by better position, I mean more intelligent and more conscientious, with all that implies.
