I don't know if it was Ricky or her but they developed the 3 camera setup so they could shoot all the coverage in one take. Saved time, money, and changed the way sitcoms were filmed. Someone was smart.
[thenationalpulse] U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials have seized several counterfeit Federal Bureau of Investigation and Drug Enforcement Administration badges shipped from China.
As an agency press release notes, "officers at the Chicago International Mail Branch (IMF) recently seized several packages all arriving from China that contained counterfeit Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) badges." FBI and DEA worried about more-competent competition?
In the following week, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials busted additional shipments containing over two dozen counterfeit DEA badges.
"These counterfeit badges could have led to disastrous consequences if our officers had not found them," said LaFonda Sutton-Burke, Director of Chicago CBP’s Field Operations. "Criminal organizations could have used these badges for their illicit activity under the guise of federal agents. Our CBP officers were able to identify these very realistic counterfeits and stop them from reaching their destinations."

OK with CNN grinding the Axe so its clear Uncle Joe has limited time in office. For the MSM who is up next ?
MS-NBC Rachel M. or whom?
But what will the cover be?
A C-19 infection with a investigation blaming Trump?
Or a Heart Attack and can't run again?
Or some other deep State planned and handled process of removal.
Either way
Are we looking at HEADLINES of "Coming soon to the Oval Office President K. Harris." The 1st Female and the 2nd or 3rd (if you count Lincoln) 1/2 white and 1/2 something else President.

Looks like Israel's current wave of covid cases is peaking, at a slightly higher level than the winter 2021 and the summer 2020 waves. Deaths should peak shortly, and at a level similar to summer 2020 and slightly lower than winter 2021. The current case rate for Israel is about 2.5 times that for the US. I don't have any idea why.

[MAIL] A former FBI agent who worked on an investigation into the 9/11 attacks says two of the hijackers likely had help in the US. FBI handlers possibly? Asking for a friend.
Danny Gonzalez was involved in the still-classified FBI investigation 'Operation Encore,' which looked into two of the hijackers living in San Diego before the attacks, and whether they had help.
He says he believes the attackers had relied on a US-based support network. Drip, drip, drip, drip.....
The revelation comes on the heels of an executive order signed Friday by President Joe Biden, directing the Department of Justice to declassify some documents related to the attacks at the behest of families and survivors affected by the tragedy on the eve of its 20th anniversary. So now it's "some documents".....? Everything else remains in the memory hole.
The families are suing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for what they believe was the country's official involvement in the attacks, and say the documents could provide evidence in the suit.
The kingdom has denied it had anything to do with the attacks. Fifteen of the 19 September 11 hijackers were Saudi citizens.

I am sure Sandy Berger ditched all that evidence years ago.
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited. By Dmitry Steshin
[KP] 30 years ago, the city on the Neva was given its historical name back
The city itself, it seems, did not notice these changes. The leaden Neva was still splashing, and there was no such city dweller in nature who, at least once in his life, would not want to drown in these indifferent icy waters. As before, every autumn, because of the baric saw, the whole city could not wake up, and when he woke up, it was hard for him to live on.
"Just got up - already tired" These are the lines of the St. Petersburg singer and poet Fyodor Chistyakov.
But anemia and weakness proved to be deceiving. Probably, Peter himself did not believe that Petersburg was gaining world fame for itself.
First, as a city of three revolutions. And then it will go down in history as a symbol of courage and self-sacrifice: the besieged Leningrad.
Petersburg, although originally conceived as a complex of sea fortresses, but for a good two centuries, all the cannons of the forts rusted on the bastions. All, except one - the one that hits every day at noon from Petropavlovka, reminding the enemies that our gunpowder is dry and the gunners are not extinct. The enemies stayed at a reasonable distance from Petersburg, only the British wanted to show us something in the 19th century and during the Civil War, but they were afraid to climb into the Gulf of Finland, under the crossfire of the Kronstadt forts.
Leningrad as a special person
But by a strange whim of fate, it was the nation that had invested so much labor and intelligence in Petersburg, came under its walls in 1941 and tried to destroy the city for 900 days. And then she ran after three years.
German propagandists, trying to save face, commented on this half-panic retreat of the Wehrmacht from Leningrad to Narva and further: "Our troops withdrew to prepared positions, having made a maneuver, the meaning of which remained unknown to the enemy." But the enemy knew everything, the bronze Peter knew everything, pointing with his hand to the West, from where for centuries sorrow and suffering came to Russia.
In the post-war period, the word "Leningrader" acquired an unexpected meaning. The implication was that the Leningrader had natural courage and at the same time cultured. I remember how a neighbor scolded me in a distant southern city for some kind of prank: "Shame on you, you are a Leningrader!" And I was really very ashamed. I even tried to fix it as much as possible.
Solzhenitsyn offered St. Petrograd
In the 80s, I traced this moment, the word "Leningrad" was gradually replaced by the familiar "Peter". The first time, in second grade, when I heard the word "Peter", I didn't even know what it was about.
The obvious was explained to me. In "Peter" was hidden some kind of inner protest, a kind of Voltaireanism-freethinking. From "Peter" was clearly drawn by the Senate Square, circles of People's Will, plundered wine warehouses and palace curtains, torn into velvet cloth for the finishing polishing of soldiers 'boots and sailors' boots. Fried chicken walking along the Nevsky was drawn from this Peter. Although the bunch of "besieged Leningrad" was still inviolable and holy. For "they would drink Bavarian" without talk and discussion, they simply uncivilizedly poked the speaker in the face until he was completely brought to his senses.
But it was felt: changes were inevitable. For Leningrad, they meant a complete revolution of the wheel of history, a return to the source. There were attempts to come up with something else instead of St. Petersburg. For example, Solzhenitsyn's St. Petrograd. Or born in the bowels of the city party committee: "Let a new name, like a banner, rise up - Petro-Leningrad!"
All these attempts in the face of history looked ridiculous. On September 6, 1991, the Congress of People's Deputies of the Soviet convocation returned its historical name to the city. St. Petersburg has finally turned into the Eternal City, solid and unshakable, measuring time for centuries, living outside of political passions.

[10News] Israeli police say they have launched a massive manhunt in northern Israel and the occupied West Bank after six Palestinian prisoners escaped from a high-security facility.
Multiple Israeli agencies were erecting roadblocks, conducting patrols and moving hundreds of other prisoners.
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett called the development a "grave incident" that required maximum effort by the country's forces.
The police said on Monday that the prisoners escaped from the Gilboa prison, which is supposed to be one of Israel’s most secure facilities.
The men were believed to have been headed for Jenin, where the internationally recognized Palestinian Authority wields little control.
[NYP] Comedian Kate Quigley told a friend she is doing "ok" after she was hospitalized after reportedly taking a tainted batch of cocaine that resulted in three deaths.
"I’m alive. I’m not great. But I’m ok," Quigley texted her comedian pal, Brian Redban, after he asked how she was following the tragedy at a Venice home on Friday night.
Redban shared a screenshot of the Saturday night text exchange on Instagram, captioning the story: "I have had a bad month.. And this just ruined me.. Hug everyone you love." "I have had a bad month...oh yeah, and some people died. But more about my bad month..."
Sources told TMZ that a batch of fentanyl-laced cocaine was to blame for the death of Fuquan Johnson, writer for "Comedy Parlour Live," and two other unidentified victims.

She is best known for her roles in the television series “Star Trek: Hidden Frontier” (2000), “My Super-Overactive Imagination” (2013), “Apartment 9” (2014), and “Add-TV” (2017). Kate hosted the AVN Awards on Showtime in 2016, Playboy TV’s Undercover, and Hollywood Pool Party.

[CNN via Weasel Zippers] New York, General Motors will shut production at most of its North American plants for a week or two starting next week as the worsening chip shortage takes another bite out of its plans.
GM and other automakers had hoped the chip shortage would be mostly behind them by now. But the surge in Covid cases, especially in Southeast Asia where many of the chip manufacturers are based, has actually created a worsening problem for automakers.
Only a small handful of GM’s plants will remain in operation during the pause. Those plants make full-size SUVs and pickups, as well as some of its sports cars, such as the Camaro and Corvette. That’s because GM is prioritizing the chips it does have on hand for its most popular and profitable vehicles.

Been hearing the rumor for several weeks in the Gray back channels. So watch as Electronic equipment prices jump going into Christmas.
Side Note: Despite NAFTA and the newer USA–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA). When adjusted for inflation US MSRP Vehicle pricing has been running 15% to 20+% higher than the inflation adjusted pricing?
eg.
1994 Ford F-150 MSRP Short Bed MSRP $12,866
2020 F-150 MSRP basic model price of $28,940,
Adjusted for inflation the MSRP should have been closer to $23,700 or about $5,200 lower.

/\ things are waaaaay overcomplicated.
Points, condenser, and rotor worked fine for a 100 years or so WITHOUT a computer, or chips.
No specialty tools required. If you had a good ear, you could generally get them to run fairly well without a timing light. A feeler gauge was handy, but you could use a matchbook cover to get em going.
We've come a long way. Not certain what direction however.

When I lived in PeeAye, a very common thing if you had a long driveway was to buy a completely hogged out CJ for about $400. It had to start and run, transfer case had to work, at least some brakes and maybe headlights. Only new parts on it was the plow kit. It was never going on the road (well, maybe to the neighbors' houses after a big storm) so it was not registered or inspected. But it got the job done.

I blew the 440 motor in under a month at the old Augusta National Drag strip and then "I" installed a used 318 from a totaled wreck for $150.00 10-14 mpg. Took 2 1/2 hours.
My purchased new Dodge Journey now has 32,000+ miles 4 oil changes No Tune ups and had the faulty computer replaced at 14,300.00. I was told if it had not been a warranty replacement it would have been close to 1/3 the cost of my $17,000 car.

After Joe Rogan announced that he'd kicked Covid in just a few days using a cocktail of drugs, including Ivermectin - an anti-parasitic prescribed for humans for over 35 years, with over 4 billion doses administered (and most recently as a Covid-19 treatment), the left quickly started mocking Rogan for having taken a 'horse dewormer' due to its dual use in livestock.
Rolling Stone's Jon Blistein led the charge:
On Friday, Rolling Stone's Peter Wade took another stab - publishing a hit piece claiming that Oklahoma ERs were overflowing with people 'overdosing on horse dewormer.'
It was suspect from the beginning.
The report, sourced to local Oaklahoma outlet KFOR's Katelyn Ogle, cites Oklahoma ER doctor Dr. Jason McElyea - who claimed that people overdosing on ivermectin horse dewormer are causing emergency rooms to be "so backed up that gunshot victims were having hard times getting" access to health facilities.

[IsraelTimes] Men to be accused of aggravated assault in case that has rocked the West Bank; no senior officers or politicians have so far been charged in Banat’s death.
Fourteen members of the Paleostinian Authority security forces will be charged for allegedly beating opposition figure Nizar Banat
...the Israel-hating, anti-corruption crusading, amateur West Bank politician (he was by profession a carpenter and house painter) who for years was regularly arrested by PA authorities until the day they finally beat him to death...
to death in late June, a spokesperson for the forces said on Sunday.
"The investigations have concluded, and the military prosecutors... decided to charge all the officers and forces who participated in apprehending Nizar Banat," PA security services spokesperson Talal Dweikat told official PA television.
The 14 alleged perpetrators will be charged with fatally beating Banat, under PA military law, said Dweikat.
Banat, a social media activist well-known for his caustic videos condemning the PA leadership, died after being arrested by PA officers in late June. His death sparked rare major protests in the West Bank calling for the downfall of the PA government.
In the aftermath of Banat’s death, the PA arrested 14 officers alleged to have taken part in his beating. All hailed from the Hebron division of the powerful Preventative Security apparatus, Dweikat said on Monday.
But Banat’s family has already pledged not to accept the results of the PA’s investigation into his death. The family formally withdrew its support from an earlier commission of inquiry that led to the arrests of the 14 suspects in July.
No senior officers or politicians have been charged in Banat’s death. Some Paleostinian media has fingered Hebron deputy Preventative Security chief Maher Abu Halawa as ultimately responsible for ordering Banat’s death.
"The investigations proved that [Abu Halawa] had nothing to do with this incident," Dweikat argued.
[IsraelTimes] Court papers in the trial of two cell members show authorities detained them on multiple occasions due to their radical activities, but released them every time
British authorities missed at least 14 opportunities to stop the four jihadists known as the "Beatles" before they traveled to Syria during the rise of Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... there to take part in atrocities, The Times of London reported Sunday, citing US court papers.
Alexanda Amon Kotey, El Shafee Elsheikh, Aine Davis and leader Mohammed Emwazi were a squad of British IS jihadists who came to be known as the Beatles, who were behind multiple videos of beheadings of Western hostages as the terror group took power in Iraq and Syria in the middle of the last decade, including Israeli-American journalist Steven Sotloff.
Kotey and Elsheikh are currently on trial in the US, Davis is imprisoned in Turket and Emwazi, known as "Jihadi John," was killed in a US Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... in Syria in November 2015.
The Times, citing documents from Kotey’s trial, said authorities had detained members of the group on multiple occasions in the years prior to their travel to Syria, due to their radical activities — including possession of materials on holy warrior activities, participation in rallies in support of terrorist attacks, possession of weaponry and more.
However, it's easy to be generous with someone else's money... they were always released, allowing them to continue pursuing jihadism.
Thursday saw Kotey, now 37, plead guilty in a US court to charges of conspiring to murder four American hostages. The charges include hostage-taking resulting in death and providing material support to the Islamic State group from 2012 through 2015.

[JPost] The United States condemned events on Sunday in the Guinean capital Conakry, where special forces soldiers appeared to oust the country's long-serving president.
In a statement, the US State Department said violence and any extra-constitutional measures would only erode Guinea's prospects for peace, stability and prosperity.
"The United States condemns today's events in Conakry," the statement said. "These actions could limit the ability of the United States and Guinea's other international partners to support the country as it navigates a path toward national unity and a brighter future for the Guinean people."

Ahmadullah Wasiq, deputy head of the Taliban’s Cultural Commission, said on Sunday that Taliban forces have captured all districts of Panjshir.
"The Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate are actively present in all areas and districts of Panjshir. All the areas are under the control of the Mujahideen. They only faced resistance in Bazarak in the center of Panjshir," he said.
Taliban forces posted a video on social media saying they have taken heavy equipment used by the Resistance® Front.
"We have taken several cannons of the enemy," said Mawlawi Sakhidad Majmar, a Taliban commander.
The Resistance® Front front man, Fahim Dashti,
however, rejected the Taliban’s claim of taking Panjshir districts, saying that the resistance forces have retaken Paryan district from the Taliban.
Dashti in a tweet said that the Taliban has suffered casualties in the fighting.
"Panjshir’s Paryan has been completely cleared of Taliban. At least, '1,000 terrorists' were stuck as their entrance and exit ways were closed. All the aggressors were arrested or killed by the local people with support from the resistance forces while they were fleeing. A big number of those arrested are foreigners and most of them are specifically Paks," Dashti tweeted.
The Italian aid agency Emergency said Taliban forces had reached the Panjshir village of Anabah, where they run a surgical centre.
"Many people have fled from local villages in recent days," Emergency said in a statement Saturday, adding it was continuing to provide medical services and treating a "small number of wounded".
Anabah lies some 25 kilometres (15 miles) north inside the 115-kilometre-long valley, but unconfirmed reports suggested the Taliban had seized other areas too.
Bill Roggio, managing editor of the US-based Long War Journal, said Sunday that while there was still a "fog of war" with unconfirmed reports the Taliban had captured multiple districts "it looks bad".
Both sides claim to have inflicted heavy losses on the other.
"The Taliban army has been hardened with 20 years of war, and make no mistake, the Taliban trained an army," Roggio tweeted Sunday, adding that "the odds were long" for the Panjshir resistance.
Fahim Dashti, the spokesman for the group that is fighting the Taliban, was killed in a battle on Sunday, according to the group’s Twitter account. Dashti was the voice of the group and a prominent media personality during previous governments.
He was also the nephew of Abdullah Abdullah, a senior official of the former government who is involved in negotiations with the Taliban on the future of Afghanistan.

Not exactly a startling development, after 20 years as a Taliban sanctuary. Of course Foggy Bottom and strategic thinkers here in the Big PX will continue to remain silent. No need to anger our Chinese global partners by telling them to curb their dog.

Pakistan dictator General Zia ul-Haq (died in suspicious air incident, 1988), used Pakistan military Intelligence unit (ISI) to create the Taliban for deployment in the war with the Soviet Union. Pakistan has played a role in Taliban activity ever since -- now nearly forty years.

The Pakistan Frontier Corps certainly didn't hide it's support for the Taliban along the Durand Line. Appalachian Trail hostels would be a good analogy to describe Frontier Corps outposts and checkpoints.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] UN Secretary-General António Guterres ...Portuguese politician and diplomat, ninth Secretary-General of the United Nations. Previously, he was the UN High Commissioner for Refugees between 2005 and 2015. He was the Prime Minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002 and was the Secretary-General of the Socialist Party from 1992 to 2002. He served as President of the Socialist International from 1999 to 2005. In both a 2012 and 2014 poll, the Portuguese public ranked him as the best Prime Minister of the previous 30 years... is again urging countries to withdraw all imported muscle and mercenaries from Libya, saying they continue to operate throughout the conflict-stricken North African country in violation of last October’s cease-fire agreement "with no discernible abatement of their activities."
The UN chief also urged countries supplying arms and military equipment to the imported muscle to stop violating the UN arms embargo, saying, the movement of aircraft providing logistical support "also continued unabated" at airbases in central Libya in the strategic city of Sirte and nearby Jufra area.
In a report to the UN Security Council circulated Friday, Guterres called for implementation of "a comprehensive plan for the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of all mercenaries and foreign forces from Libya, with clear timelines."
He also urged Libyan parties "to exert every effort to ensure" that parliamentary and presidential elections are held on Dec. 24 in accordance with the political road map that ended hostilities last year.
Subsequent UN-sponsored peace talks brought about a cease-fire last October and installed an interim government that is expected to lead the country into December elections, but the Libyan parliament has so far failed to agree on a legal framework to hold elections.
Guterres cited initial differences over whether presidential elections should be carried out by direct voting or indirectly by the elected parliament, whether a referendum on the draft permanent constitution should be held first, and eligibility criteria for candidates including military personnel and dual citizens.
The UN chief urged the parties and institutions to clarify the constitutional basis for elections and to adopt the necessary electoral laws.
"The political process is now reaching a critical stage and the gains achieved in early 2021 are under threat," Guterres warned. "It is imperative that the political process fulfills the aspirations of the Libyan people for representative governance brought about through democratic elections."

I cancelled my PayPal account the day their CEO made his snarling announcement that his company wouldn't do business with states that had "Ladies room is for ladies" laws. There's really nothing coming out of Portland I need. Oregon? Pretty much likewise. I loved the value proposition of Duluth Trading clothes, but Minnesota is not on my approved trading list any more. #2 Leaving aside that whole Commerce Clause thingy and 50 other issues, I wonder whether this is consistent with whatever version of the public bid law applies to Portland. The resolution basically says that even if a Texas company puts in a bid for twice the quality at half the price, we'll reject that bid because Texas is ideologically impure. It's not a big jump from that to a resolution saying that we'll reject any bid from a company not owned by the mayor's brother.

But if the Chinese do it at twice the cost and half the quality, they'll buy cause Portland has no problem with other commies running forced labor camps and the extermination of a ethnic group.
[National Pulse] National Institutes of Health officials and researchers funded by Anthony Fauci are contributing to documentaries produced by Chinese Communist Party-run media outlets seeking to absolve the regime of blame for COVID-19.

Among Western experts appearing in the documentary are two researchers that counting sizable funding from Fauci: Dr. Robert Garry and Dr. Frederic Bushman. Garry has received 70 grants from NIAID, with several sums totaling over $1 million in taxpayer funds. [All Africa] Authorities in South Sudan's Western Equatoria region have discovered at least 50 bodies following weeks of deadly violence in Tambura, County Commissioner Charles Babiro has said.In a phone interview with the Nation on Wednesday, Mr Babiro revealed that the bodies were found in the villages of Bangaza, Mooboywhoku and Azama in Tambura County.
"In our last five days' search, we managed to collect at least 50 dead bodies. However, some people cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go... we today couldn't continue with the search because of security concerns. The bodies are mostly those of children and the elderly, but children were the majority," said Mr Babiro.
Mr Babiro linked the conflict that erupted months ago to differences between peace parties. He accused the opposition group - the Sudan People Liberation Army-in Opposition (SPLA-IO) of being behind the attacks that have left hundreds of civilians displaced in the Tambura area.
"The SPLA-IO forces which came from Bhar-el-Ghazel region organised an attack on some villages in Tambura and started killing civilians who went farming, killing others in their houses for no clear reason," the commissioner alleged.
MOVE SPLA-IO FORCES
Last week, the government resolved to move SPLA-IO forces out of Tambura County in order to quell the conflict. This was arrived at after many locals complained that the national government was not doing anything about the deadly violence.
A week ago, the national government sent a delegation to Yambio town on a peace and reconciliation mission. But Commissioner Babiro said since its arrival, the delegation has done nothing, except spending time in the luxurious hotels.
"The committee which was sent in is now staying in lodges, they haven't settled issues. No clear plan on the way forwards has been developed and they continue to pay deaf ears on the situation when the killings are still ongoing," Mr Babiro added.
According to the commissioner, the conflict that has lasted for about two months now has left at least 170 people dead.
Efforts to reach SPLA-IO for comments were not successful.
But national religious leaders those and in Western Equatoria State have called on the national government to address the issue before it goes out of hand.

[DW] Once allies, Saudi Arabia and the Taliban have been divided by war, betrayal, and 9/11. As Afghanistan changes and Middle East relations shift, the two won't rekindle ties, but another nation is looking closely at Kabul.

[GUARDIAN.NG] Nigerians have expressed doubts about the willingness of the Federal Government to embrace the offer by the U. [EXPRESSUK] AN AFGHAN national with "possible Islamist motivation" stabbed a female gardener in the neck because he didn't believe a woman should be doing such a job, it has been claimed.
The Attorney General office in Berlin tweeted this morning that the 29-year-old had been detained after a gardener and passerby were attacked in the Wilmersdorf part of the German capital. Both victims suffered "serious injuries" during the attack which happened in a park at around 1.30pm local time yesterday, Berlin police said.
In a statement, the force said the suspect approached the 58-year-old woman and reportedly attacked her because he did not believe a woman should be doing such a job.
The man is then said to have stabbed the gardener several times in the neck, leaving her with serious injuries.
A 66-year-old man saw the attack unfold and "rushed" to help the woman, German police said.
The suspect is said to have then attacked the Good Samaritan - also leaving him with serious injuries, a police statement claimed.
Police later arrived and arrested the man on suspicion of having mental health issues. They are also looking into whether he had “Islamist motivation”.
According to a statement released this morning the suspect had been living in Germany since 2016.
The Public Prosecutor's Office and the State Police Department of the State Criminal Police Office are conducting "extensive investigations" into the crime, it said.
The suspect is due to be brought before a judge later today.
According to the UN’s refugee agency, European countries now host more than a million Syrian asylum-seekers and refugees.
Around 70 percent of these are hosted in two countries, with Germany taking 59 percent and Sweden 11 percent.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The Egyptian Dar al-Ifta confirmed a strong relationship between the Moslem Brüderbund and all terrorist organizations.
The Grand Mufti of Egypt, Shawki Allam, said that the Moslem Brüderbund is an organization rooted in violence from its very beginning.
The Mufti referred to the "guide for confronting and combating extremism" developed by Dar al-Iftaa, which took years to prepare.
The guide studies ISIS and Egypt after the rule of the Moslem Brüderbund and also includes other religions.
Dar Ifta began preparing the guide in January 2014, specifically since establishing the Observatory of Takfiri ...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed... Fatwas and Extremist Views, which monitors fatwas issued by these terrorist organizations.
The Mufti stressed that there are links between all bad boy organizations, which can be detected through their ideologies discussed in their books.
Allam also said that the terrorist organization ISIS represents a significant threat to Islam since its emergence.
The terrorist organization contradicts the message of Islam and misinterprets the Prophet's message, and it established itself as a state despite being against the system, according to Allam.
"From this perspective, we realized the importance of preparing a guide to confront the ideas of ISIS, which deals with extremism in all its forms, languages, and beliefs."
The Grand Mufti stated that those organizations' fatwas want to destabilize societies, warning that political Islamization intends to misinterpret and misread the jurisprudence.

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] Three people were killed and three others were maimed Saturday night when a person got out of a vehicle and opened fire on a group of people on a street in northwest Washington, D.C., police said.
The dear departed was described as a young adult, said Metropolitan Police Department Chief Robert Contee at a news conference. The survivors, described as adults, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, he said.
Contee said a police security camera nearby captured imagery of a vehicle used in the attack.
He said multiple suspects were in the vehicle, and multiple people opened fire, but it wasn’t clear if there was a shootout between those in the vehicle and those on the street. A gun was recovered at the scene, Contee said.
"We believe that more than one person was definitely firing," he said.
A motive was under investigation.
Contee asked anyone with information to come forward.
"Right now I’m pleading for the community’s help," he said.
The chief called this kind of gun violence "very frustrating."
"We know that this issue is not unique to Washington, D.C.," he said. "I think it speaks to the overall sickness that we’re seeing in our community and that sickness being gun violence."

[ToloNews] A day after the arrival in Kabul of the head of the Pakistain Inter-Services Intelligence ...the Pak military intelligence agency that controls the military -- heads of ISI typically get promoted into the Chief of Army Staff position. It serves as a general command center for favored turban groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad, tries to influence the politix of neighboring countries, and carries out a (usually) low-level war against India in Kashmir... (ISI), Lt Gen. Faiz Hamid, the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... on Sunday said that Hamid is in Afghanistan to improve bilateral relations between Kabul and Islamabad.
Earlier, Pak media reported that Hamid was in Kabul at the invitation of the Taliban, but the Taliban said that Pakistain had proposed his visit to Kabul.
Ahmadullah Wasiq, deputy head of the Taliban’s Cultural Commission, said the Taliban leaders talked with Hamid about bilateral relations and the problems of Afghan passengers at Torkham and Spin Boldak passes between Afghanistan and Pakistain.
"This Pak official has come to solve Afghan passengers’ problems at the border areas, especially in Torkham and Spin Boldak. They wanted (his visit to Kabul) and we accepted," Wasiq said.
When asked by a news hound about his visit to Kabul, Hamid said: "Don’t worry, everything will be okay."
Hamid also said that his country will provide technical support for Afghanistan to restart operations at Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai ...Former president of Aghanistan, part of the problem not part of the solution... International Airport in Kabul.
Meanwhile, ...back at the argument, Jane reached into her purse for her .38... sources close to Gulbuddin Hekmatyar ... who used to be known in intelligence circles as The Most Evil Man in the World but who now seems merely run-of-the-mill evil... , the leader of Hizb-e-Islami party, said that Hamid also met with Hekmatyar, and they discussed the current situation in the country.
"Although Hamid says his visit is for Afghanistan-Pakistain issues and for the Afghan passengers, I think his trip to Kabul has caused concerns among the Afghans and it means Pakistain will recognize the government that the Taliban will announce," said Sami Yousufzai, a journalist.
Hamid arrived in Kabul on Saturday and is the only high-ranking foreign official to visit Kabul following the Taliban’s takeover of the city.
[CNBC] Social Security’s latest report on the status of the trust funds on which it relies to pay benefits has both good and bad news.
The good news is that the funds have not been as hard hit by the Covid-19 as was initially feared, due the economic recovery that has taken place.
The bad news is that the funds’ depletion dates have moved up sooner, prompting a chorus of calls for Congress to act swiftly to correct the problem.
"If this report does not trigger a pretty serious and swift discussion on Capitol Hill among lawmakers about what needs to be done to put Social Security back on a financially sustainable track, it’s really hard for me to imagine what could," said Charles Blahous, who served as a public trustee for Social Security and Medicare from 2010 to 2015 and is now a senior research strategist at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University.
This year’s annual report moved up the projections for when the combined trust funds that pay retirement, survivors and disability benefits will deplete their reserves to 2034, one year earlier than had been projected last year. At that point, 78% of benefits would be payable.
The concept is similar to running out of money in a savings account, said Social Security Administration Chief Actuary Stephen Goss. At that point, the program would only have money to pay benefits based on the payroll taxes coming in at the time.
"The meaning of this is simply to tell Congress that we have shortfalls, that we will deplete our reserves if you don’t act, so act," Goss said of the annual trustees report.
Changes to fix the program could include tax increases, benefit cuts or a combination of both.
But so far, Republicans and Democrats have not agreed on a way to approach the issue.
One plan on the Democratic side, called the Social Security 2100 Act, was last introduced in 2019 and had 209 co-sponsors. Notably, all of that support was from Democrats.

There is no 'trust fund'. It's a tax. Period. That's the rationale SCOTUS accepted from the FDR administration in ruling on the constitutionality of the program. Everything else is accounting games. As long as the government owns the printing presses, it'll continue to pour out money.

Domestic flights resumed from Kabul airport after three weeks of sabotage
[KhaamaPress] Domestic flights from Hamid Karzai International Airport HKIA based in Kabul resumed over twenty days after the Taliban takeover which halted both the domestic and international flights. The first domestic flight was conducted from Kabul to the northern Mazar-e-sharif city on Saturday, September 4. A domestic airlines-De Arian Afghan Airlines- said that two other domestic flights from Kabul were conducted to Herat and Kandahar provinces on Sunday, September 05.
In the meantime, three international flights from Qatar, United Arab Emirate, and Bahrain carrying technical personnel and humanitarian aid have also landed in HKIA over the past four days.
The efforts for activating the HKIA intensified after the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan asked Qatar and Turkey to send their technical team to prepare the airport for domestic and international flights.
Technical personnel from Qatar have arrived but Turkey has set conditions for sending their civil personnel to Kabul. Turkey has said that their civil experts will only provide assistance to HKIA when their military personnel man their security, the suggestion which has been refused by the Taliban.
The biggest international airport in Kabul has been inflicted over $300 million worth of damage by the US troops after they completed 15-evacuation.
Taliban suggests local businesses invest in Afghanistan, increase trade
[KhaamaPress] A key member of the leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and head of the Haqqani network, Khalilurahman Haqqani asked the investors and businessmen to further increase their business activities in Afghanistan.
He had arranged a gathering with the tribal elders of different ethnic groups in Kabul to ask for their support to the IEA.
Officials of the IEA also said that they have halved the tax on food ingredients and have also dramatically decreased the tax on other exports and imports of the Afghan traders.

[National Pulse] A former lead scientist for Corning Inc. — a technology company manufacturing glass vials for COVID-19 vaccines — was indicted for stealing company technology for use in China, including Chinese Communist Party-sanctioned business ventures.
Corning’s Wang Ji was indicted on charges of economic espionage, theft of trade secrets, and unlawful exports. Wang, who worked for the company from 1998 to 2019, was a lead scientist on a Corning project developing optical laser fibers to attack hostile drones, which counted $16 million in funding from the U.S. government’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
He allegedly stole files relevant to the project to set up a business using the same technology in China and was in negotiations with several Chinese Communist Party authorities in the city of Tianjian to set up the company.
The indictment follows Corning, which supplies pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer, receiving hundreds of millions of dollars from the U.S. government to manufacture glass vials for COVID-19 vaccines.

If you read the story, it didn't have anything to do with vaccines, except that they made the bottles. It's about fiber optics for lasers.

But, they don't seem to be able to steal the secret of the vaccine itself.
No Chinese well placed at Moderna or Biontech?
It's about fiber optics for lasers.
Very serious. From defense against UAVs and arty to speed of light offensive/defensive weapons on aircraft. Then there are industrial uses such as materials processing/manufacturing.
It's like the elites who run this country are purposely trying to crash this country and make us subservient to the Chinese.

It worth between $5K and $10K to a major News Agency for the 1st person providing it. Maybe even a do nothing job for the $$$$ at a MSM outlet.
Authorities have identified the man suspected of killing three adults and a three-month-old baby in their home as Bryan Riley, 33, of Brandon, Florida
Riley is a former Marine sharp-shooter who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, officials said
His girlfriend of four years reportedly told authorities he thought he could talk to God, and had been given a vision that a girl was going to commit suicide
Riley allegedly visited the house of the shooting nine hours before and told a man that his daughter, who he called Amber, was going to commit suicide
The man, named by a sheriff as Justice Gleason, 40, told Riley that he did not have a daughter named Amber, and asked him to leave
The next morning a lieutenant responding to another call nearby heard a volley of gunfire coming from the area of the house
They found a man wearing full body armor who did not appear to have a firearm rushing back into the home, before more gunfire was heard
The suspect later came out with his hands raised and was taken into custody
Officials later found an 11-year-old girl shot multiple times who told them that three other people were dead inside the house
A man, woman and a baby in the woman's arms were all found shot to death
The baby's grandmother was also found fatally shot in the house behind them
The 11-year-old girl is now recovering at Tampa General
Another 10-year-old related to the family was not home at the time of the killings
Officials do not believe Riley had any connection with the family

Riley, a United States Marine who served as a sharp-shooter for four years in active service in Afghanistan and Iraq before being honorably discharged, reportedly suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and had a job as a security guard.
He described himself as a 'survivalist' and told police that he was high on methamphetamines at the time of the shooting.
He had a concealed weapons license and 'virtually no criminal history,' according to the sheriff. He turned himself into authorities following the shooting.

From NN2N1’s Heavy (5 Fast Facts) link, which has lots of photos of the gentleman:
Riley served in the United States Marine Corps from January 2007 to March 2011, according to his LinkedIn profile. He was in the 1st Battalion 6th Marines and the 1st Battalion 9th Marines, and was stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina at one point. He was deployed to Ramadi in Iraq in 2008 and Marjah in Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010, according to his LinkedIn.
After he was honorably discharged from the Marines he spent time in the Reserves, and was also a guard team supervisor for Academi, a private military contractor originally founded by retired Navy SEAL Erik Prince as Blackwater, from 2013 to 2014, he said on LinkedIn. He then worked as an executive protection agent for ESS Global Corp from August 2017 to February 2019, where he said he, “Provided close protection for clients in various countries.”
Riley’s most recent employer is listed on his LinkedIn as Griffin Defense, where he said he has been a protection specialist since August 2017. He wrote that he, “Performed close protection in areas such as Mexico, Nigeria, Paris, and Peru.”
Riley, who used a pseudonym on his Facebook profile, shared a fundraiser for “Stop Soldier Suicide” in March 2021. His Facebook page shows him while in the Marines and while working private security around the world. Riley’s girlfriend posted photos showing he proposed in July 2021 and they were engaged. Her profile also shows him with her young children.
Riley’s girlfriend told investigators that last week he told her, “God told him to go to the hurricane relief and to take supplies, so all through the week he was buying supplies so that he could make a trip to provide hurricane relief from Hurricane Ida. She said he came home on one day, he was becoming more erratic. He wasn’t sleeping at night. And he bought $1,000 worth of cigars to take as a relief present. And he said that God said he should do that,” Judd said.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] ISIS snuffies killed 13 Iraqi coppers and maimed four during an overnight attack on a guard post near the city of Kirkuk, ... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time... police sources said on Sunday.
Police sources said the attackers clashed for two hours with cop shoppeed at a village in the town of Rashad, 30 km southwest of northern city of Kirkuk, Rooters reported.
Militants used roadside kabooms to prevent police reinforcements from reaching the post, destroying three policevehicles, police sources said.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility but ISIS snuffies are active in the area and a security source said they were involved.
Separately, at least three Iraqi soldiers were killed and one was maimed on Sunday when button men attacked an army checkpoint southeast of the Iraqi city of djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... , security sources said.
Despite the defeat of the ISIS murderous Moslem group in 2017, remnants of the group switched to hit-and-run attacks against government forces in different parts of Iraq.

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] The leader of the Afghan opposition group resisting Taliban ...Arabic for students... forces in the Panjshir valley north of Kabul said on Sunday he welcomed proposals from religious scholars for a negotiated settlement to end the fighting.
Ahmad Massoud, head of the National Resistance® Front of Afghanistan (NRFA), made the announcement on the group’s Facebook page. Earlier, Taliban forces said they had fought their way into the lovely provincial capital of Panjshir after securing the surrounding districts.
"The NRF in principle agree to solve the current problems and put an immediate end to the fighting and continue negotiations," Massoud said in the Facebook post.
"To reach a lasting peace, the NRF is ready to stop fighting on condition that Taliban also stop their attacks and military movements on Panjshir and Andarab," he said, referring to a district in the neighbouring province of Baghlan.
Earlier, Afghan media outlets reported that an Ulema council of religious scholars had called on the Taliban to accept a negotiated settlement to end the fighting in Panjshir.

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett will travel this week to Sharm el-Sheikh to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, announced the official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation.
The visit is the first of its kind for an Israeli prime minister in more than ten years, days after the tripartite summit between Sisi, Paleostinian President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas ...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase.... , and Jordanian King Abdullah II.
Bennett will try to avoid progress on a political track with the Paleostinians, while Sisi aims to pave the way for Israeli-Paleostinian negotiations.
A senior Israeli official confirmed that Bennett would avoid discussing the Paleostinian cause with Sisi and rather focus on security issues.
A front man for the Egyptian presidency, Ambassador Bassam Rady, told Radio Masr that the Egyptian-Jordanian-Paleostinian summit reaffirmed the Egyptian-Jordanian support to the Paleostinian cause.
"We have called on the international community and the international quartet to revive the grinding of the peace processor, under the new US administration and the new government in Israel," he added.
Egypt, Jordan, and Paleostine agreed to keep communications channels at the level of foreign ministers and heads of security and intelligence services to reach a formula that will be activated during the coming period.
The Paleostinians are working intensively with Egypt and Jordan to develop a plan that enjoys Arab and US support to launch a new political process in the region that leads to direct negotiations between the Paleostinians and the Israelis.
The coordination intensified and accelerated after the war on the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip and the US administration's desire to find a comprehensive solution based on the two-state solution.
The Paleostinians received important signals from Washington after Biden met with Bennett last weekend and announced his support for the two-state solution.
Abbas met with Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz, who granted the Paleostinians several facilities.
During a Zoom conversation with officials of Jewish organizations in the US, Bennett said he intends to reduce tensions with the Paleostinians despite the lack of "political breakthrough" with them.
The prime minister said that there has always been a dichotomy: either move towards a Paleostinian state or do nothing.
"I think that in many areas it is possible to act to reduce the problem ... especially in the economic field. I believe that employment and living with dignity can improve the situation. Two parties can take measures to reduce tensions and improve daily life."
Asked about the meeting between Gantz and Abbas, Bennett said he did not intend to meet with the Paleostinian President because he had filed a complaint against Israel before the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
"I also do not want to create the illusion of something that will not happen because a disappointment can have negative consequences. We will not take drastic measures. We will freeze the construction and take measures to stabilize the area," he continued.
Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid confirmed there were no political talks with the Authority, adding that 90 percent of the contacts are done through security coordination.

[Rudaw] Kurdish security forces on Sunday announced the arrest of a group of suspected Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. (ISIS) members who were planning terror acts in Erbil city, including targeting a busy market, foreigners, and security forces.
"A group of ISIS bandidosforces of Evil were arrested by Kurdistan’s general counter-terrorism directorate... they were planning to carry out terrorist activities inside Erbil city," the Kurdistan Region’s Security Council (KRSC) said in a statement published along with video confessions from the suspects.
The group was ordered to carry out activities in Erbil by an ISIS emir known as Abu Harith and they attempted to bring bombs into the city, to plant "inside Erbil city’s bazaar and also target foreign and security personnel," said the KRSC.
They were apprehended in a joint effort by the counter-terror directorate and Erbil’s Asayish (internal security forces).
"Abu Harith asked us to specify some locations inside the bazaar to attack, that will go viral in the media," said Haidar Abdulwahab, one of the suspects who was asked to form a group by an acquaintance of his father, who was an ISIS member and killed in an Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... The group had met in Erbil citadel where they were tasked by Abu Harith to film ISIS members inside and near the bazaar and publish the videos on Telegram to show holy warriors present inside the city.
Abu Harith also asked them to specify some places "that have foreigners" and "asked us to target a place around the citadel," said Ahmed Haitham, another of the suspects.
Erbil citadel sits at the heart of the Kurdistan Region capital. It is a popular destination for tourists and locals, and overlooks Shar Square and the central bazaar.
Three of the seven suspects are minors. KRSC said ISIS is recruiting teenagers, especially those who have family members tied to ISIS, and forces them to work for the group.
Although ISIS was territorially defeated in Iraq in 2017, remnants of the terror group remain active across the country, particularly in areas disputed between Baghdad and Erbil.
Kurdish forces have made two other major arrests of ISIS suspects this summer. Five were arrested in Sulaimani and Halabja in late July. Another five were arrested in Erbil two weeks earlier.

[ESPN] Morocco's national team are set to be evacuated from the Guinean capital Conakry and their World Cup qualifier against Guinea has been postponed because of a coup d'etat in the West African country.
A source close to the Morocco camp told ESPN that the team are preparing to exit Guinea imminently. "The Moroccan delegation are doing well and they are waiting to be evacuated," the source said.
Morocco goalkeeper Anas Zniti, who is with the team in Conakry, has corroborated to ESPN that the squad are doing well, although they have witnessed the deteriorating security situation in the city, with midfielder Sofyan Amrabat sharing footage of military forces on the streets in his Instagram story.
The Morocco team have been told to remain inside their residence for the time being, and to stay away from windows and doorways.
"The current political and security situation in Guinea is quite volatile and is being closely monitored by FIFA and CAF," the Confederation of African Football said in a statement. "To ensure the safety and security of all players and to protect all match officials, FIFA and CAF have decided to postpone the FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifying match Guinea vs. Morocco, which had scheduled to be hosted in Conakry, Guinea, on Monday Sept. 6 Rescheduling information will be made available at a later date."
Morocco trained in Guinea on Saturday shortly before the reported coup d'etat began, with hours of gunfire being heard in Conakry -- in the vicinity of the presidential palace -- according to the BBC.
Before the postponement was announced, Morocco coach Vahid Halilhodzic told French newspaper L'Equipe: "We're at the hotel, gunshots can be heard nearby all day. We're waiting for permission to leave for the airport but we're stranded for now.
"A plane is waiting for us, but we are not allowed to leave. And to get to the airport, it takes between 45 minutes to an hour. When you hear gunshots outside, safety is not 100% guaranteed."
He added: "I was told there was a possibility that the game would be played in Morocco, but I don't know. For now we're stuck there, let's see how it goes. We wait. I hope we get back to Morocco before the end of the day."
While Guinea's defence minister has said that the coup d'etat has not been successful, the fate of President Alpha Conde remains uncertain. ESPN have seen verified images from the Guinean capital which depict corpses on the city's streets. A statement sent to ESPN issued by the "National Front for the Defence of the Constitution" -- the coalition of parties opposing the ongoing presidency -- has confirmed that the president has been detained.
Residents in the district of Kaloum have been told to remain indoors, while the military are still present in the streets and have taken control of the country's land and air borders.
Army colonel Mamadi Doumbouya goes on TV to declare Guinea government is dissolved in coup
National Committee of Gathering and Development vowed to restore democracy and also ordered the closure of the country's borders
President Alpha Conde, 86, is seen detained and surrounded by coup's soldiers
But Defence Ministry claims that the attack on presidential palace was repelled
Conde’s popularity plummeted since he sought a third term last year, saying that term limits did not apply to him
According to TASS:
Guinea’s defense ministry said on Sunday an operation was conducted against rebels who has attacked the presidential palace in the capital city of Conakry.
"The presidential guards repelled the rebels’ attack on the presidential palace," the ministry said on its website. According to the ministry, operations to restore law and order continue.
"President of the republic and commander-in-chief, Alpha Conde, and the government call on people to stay calm and be vigilant during the entire military operation," it said.
The ministry however said nothing about the president’s whereabouts. Meanwhile, rebel leader Colonel Mamady Doumbouya said the president had been arrested by units under his command.

Speaking strictly on a sporting level, the African league should make Guinea forfeit the game; Morocco 1, Guinea 0. Repeat as necessary for other games Guinea's supposed to host; like they're gonna qualify for the World Cup in any event, because they suck like Gibraltar and the mighty Lichtenstein.
[AlAhram] The decree applies to private colleges and universities, which have mushroomed since the Taliban ...Arabic for students... 's first rule ended in 2001
Women attending private Afghan universities must wear an abaya robe and niqab covering most of the face, the Taliban have ordered, and classes must be segregated by sex -- or at least divided by a curtain.
In a lengthy document issued by the Taliban's education authority, they also ordered that female students should only be taught by other women, but if that was not possible then "old men" of good character could fill in.
The decree applies to private colleges and universities, which have mushroomed since the Taliban's first rule ended in 2001.
During that period, girls and women were mostly excluded from education because of rules regarding same-sex classrooms and the insistence they had to be accompanied by a male relative whenever they left the house.
There was no order for women to wear the all-enveloping burqa in the new regulations issued late Saturday, but the niqab effectively covers most of the face anyway, leaving just the eyes exposed.
In recent years burqas and niqabs have largely vanished from the streets of Kabul, but are seen more frequently in smaller cities and towns.
The decree comes as private universities prepare to open on Monday.
"Universities are required to recruit female teachers for female students based on their facilities," the decree said, adding that men and women should use separate entrances and exits.
If it is not possible to hire women teachers, then colleges "should try to hire old men teachers who have a good record of behaviour".
While women now have to study separately, they must also end their lesson five minutes earlier than men to stop them from mingling outside.
They must then stay in waiting rooms until their male counterparts have left the building, according to the decree issued by the Taliban higher education ministry.
"Practically, it is a difficult plan -- we don't have enough female instructors or classes to segregate the girls," said a university professor, who asked not to be named.
"But the fact that they are allowing girls to go to schools and universities is a big positive step," he told AFP.
Afghanistan's new rulers have pledged to be more accommodating than during their first stint in power, which also came after years of conflict -- first the Soviet invasion of 1979, and then a bloody civil war.
They have promised a more "inclusive" government that represents Afghanistan's complex ethnic makeup -- though women are unlikely to be included at the top levels.
Over the past 20 years, since the Taliban were last in power, university admission rates have risen dramatically, particularly among women.
Before the Taliban returned in a lightning military campaign, entering the capital Kabul last month, women studied alongside men and attended seminars with male professors.
But a spate of deadly attacks on education centres in recent years sparked panic.
The Taliban denied being behind the attacks, some of which were claimed by the local chapter of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. AOSHQ: A large woman, wearing a sleeveless sun dress, walks into a pub in Wealthwood She raises her right arm, revealing a huge hairy armpit.
She points to all the people sitting at the bar and asks, “What man here will buy a lady a drink?”
The bar goes silent as the patrons try to ignore her. But down at the end of the bar, an old, owl-eyed drunk slams his hand down on the counter and bellows, “Give the ballerina a drink!”
The bartender pours the drink and the woman chugs it down. She turns to the patrons and again points around at all of them, revealing the same hairy armpit, and asks, ‘What man here will buy a lady a drink?”
Once again, the same little ole drunk slaps his money down on the bar and says, “Give the ballerina another drink!”
The bartender approaches the little old drunk and says, “Tell me, Paddy, it’s your own darn business if you want to buy the lady a drink, but why in tarnation do you keep calling her the ballerina?”
The drunk replies, “Any woman who can lift her leg that high has got to be a ballerina!”

[AlAhram] The Pak Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... grabbed credit Sunday for a suicide kaboom that killed four paramilitary guards in the southwestern city of Quetta.
The attack targeted Pak Frontier Constabulary (FC) guards in the Mian Ghundi neighbourhood of the city -- around 140 kilometers (87 miles) from the frontier with Afghanistan -- where Hazara ...a grouping of Dari-speaking people of Sino-Tibetan descent inhabiting Afghanistan and Pakistain. They are predominantly Shia Moslems and not particularly warlike, which makes them favored targets... Shiite merchants were selling vegetables.
The bomber "targeted the FC elements with an explosives-laden jacket and an explosives-laden cycle of violence", on the Mastung road in Quetta, the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) said in a statement cited by the SITE Intelligence Group.
A front man for the police's Counter-Terrorism Department confirmed the attack.
Three died immediately in the blast, with another officer dying later of his wounds, said Azhar Akram, a deputy inspector general of police.
Akram told AFP that 17 guards and two civilians were maimed in the blast, adding that three are at death's door.
The TTP claimed more than 30 FC personnel were killed and maimed in the attack.
Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan ...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree... condemned "the TTP attack on FC Checkpost" in a tweet from his office, offering his condolences and concern for the recovery of the maimed.
"The PM pays tribute to the security forces and their sacrifices to keep nation safe by thwarting foreign-backed terrorist designs," his office added.
Quetta is home to approximately 500,000 Hazaras, who mostly live in an ethnic enclave on the edge of the city.
The community has long been targeted by the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. A series of bombings carried out by a Pak sectarian hard boy group in 2013 killed over 200 Hazaras in the city.
Frontier guards have also been targeted by Baloch holy warriors, who have been waging a simmering insurgency for greater autonomy.

#1You keep using that word, 'our'. I don't thin it means what you think it means.
A boom-mobileing on Sunday in the northern Syrian town of Afrin killed three civilians and injured six others, according to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... ’s defense ministry, which blamed the attack on "terrorists."
"The enemies of humanity, terrorists, detonated an car bomb in Afrin city center, killing three innocent civilians and injuring six others, including three children," the ministry said in a tweet.
It said the earth-shattering kaboom was similar to others allegedly carried out by Kurdish forces and the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. (ISIS).
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported one person was killed and four injured in the earth-shattering kaboom that occurred in front of a shop selling fuel, which caught fire.
Ottoman Turkish forces and their Syrian proxies invaded Afrin in 2018, expelling the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) and forcing thousands of civilians to flee. Since then, the city has seen many deadly bombings. Three people were killed in a rocket attack on August 18. Turkey’s Hatay governor’s office claimed that it was carried out by the YPG.
Turkey frequently blames the YPG, but the force has denied the attacks, saying they do not target civilians. Ankara considers the YPG to be the Syrian offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), a designated terrorist group in Turkey.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Iran's Houthi sock puppets ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... militias have incurred heavy losses in Marib, prompting the militia leaders to mobilize new fighters to compensate for the shortage on battlefronts.
Military media of the Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... i army had reported earlier that the Houthi militia lost more than 10,000 men since last January on various fronts, especially in Marib, which the group has been desperate to control to no avail.
Since the beginning of this year, the Yemeni army and the popular resistance have managed to thwart more than 300 Houthi attacks on various fronts.
Well-informed sources in Sanaa told Asharq al-Awsat that the group's efforts to mobilize recruits were unsuccessful in Sanaa and the tribal areas.
In the past few days, several reports stated that dozens of Houthi recruits left the battlefronts in Marib and al-Jawf after a dispute over financial allocations and low food supplies.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shootout, Butch clutched at his other shoulder...... informed sources told Asharq al-Awsat that Houthi leader Khaled al-Madani, who is close to the group leader and directly responsible for the local authority in the capital, intensified his movements to mobilize recruits, especially in schools, mosques, and government departments.
Madani held several meetings in various city directorates and neighborhoods, including one with the capital's mayor, Hammoud Abbad, to discuss mobilization efforts.
Houthi's Saba news agency reported that the meeting, which included the group's supervisors in the directorates, touched on the priorities for following up on the mobilization plan and strengthening the steadfastness and cohesion of the home front.
Informed sources had previously told Asharq al-Awsat that the group's leaders in the tribal, rural districts surrounding Sanaa held several meetings with notables and tribal leaders to urge them to push recruits to Marib.
The Houthi media admitted that several recruitment campaigns had been launched, and extensive meetings were held in the directorates of Sanaa, which discussed mechanisms for strengthening mobilization efforts on the fronts.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shootout, Butch clutched at his other shoulder...... during the latest briefing to the UN Security Council, Assistant Secretary-General at the Departments of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, and Peace Operations, Mohammed Khiari, said that no progress had been made in the UN efforts to reach an agreement based on the four-point plan.
The plan includes a nationwide ceasefire, the re-opening of Sanaa airport, the easing of restrictions on the flow of fuel and other commodities through Hodeidah port, and the resumption of face-to-face political negotiations between the Yemeni parties, he said.
Khiari called on all parties to prioritize civilian needs and abstain from weaponizing the economy, particularly in light of the critical humanitarian situation in the country.
The new UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, is scheduled to officially begin his work in the coming few days, and resume the efforts made by his predecessor, Martin Griffiths, to bring peace and persuade the Houthis to end the war.

Marib, a governorate connecting Al-Bayda, Shabwa, Hadramawt, Al-Jawf and Sana’a, has undergone a drastic transformation since the war started in 2015, emerging as a booming economic, social, political and military center. Natural resources including irrigation from the Marib dam and oil and gas reserves were instrumental in building a bustling metropolis in Marib city. But it was the autonomy afforded by decentralization under Governor Sultan al-Aradah that harnessed those resources for local development. In the city, there were clashes between nationalists and the police. The instigator of the riots was the adviser to the President Milo Djukanovic, Veselin Veljovic.
Local "patriots" so vehemently oppose the enthronement of Ioannikius, believing that this will strengthen Serbia's influence in the country. In their opinion, they need to separate the Montenegrin church and achieve its autonomy.
Radicals rushed at law enforcement officers and blocked the entrances to the city. Thus, they hoped to disrupt the ceremony. To take the situation under control, the authorities had to use special forces.
Nevertheless, the enthronement took place anyway: Ioannikius and other clergymen had to be transported to the place of celebration by helicopter. However, none of the believers was able to witness the event.
It is known that at least four people were injured during the riots. In addition, the police managed to detain several people who provoked the clashes. Prime Minister of Montenegro Zdravko Krivokapic accused them of attempting terrorism.
The president of the largest ethnic Serbian political party in Montenegro, New Serbian Democracy, Andrija Mandic, said the president was behind the organization of the riots. He equated recent events with an attempted coup d'état.

One thing that always struck me about commentary from CNN and MSNBC talking heads - the near complete lack of professionalism. This is high-school name calling, nothing more.

I think the commentators at CNN (They don't employ any Journalists or Reporters) haven't matured past high school. That is evident from their actions and 'reporting' since '16. Heck since 2008.

i recently watched about 10 minutes of a broadcast from fox. apparently a good bit of their time nowadays is spent attacking CNN and vice versa. it really is sad to watch. like two cliques of mean girls obsessed with one another.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The Lebanese government ended on Saturday a rupture in official relations with Syria, with a high-ranking ministerial delegation visiting Damascus and holding talks to obtain its approval to allow the entry of gas and electric energy from Egypt and Jordan through Syrian territories.
Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers, a practice dating back to the heady human sacrifice days of Baal Moloch. In 2020 Hezbollahblew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate faci8lity exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that... ’s deputy Prime Minister, Zeina Akar, led the first official government visit to Syria since the outbreak of the conflict there, as Lebanon had officially followed the principle of "disassociation," amid major divisions between the political forces over the relationship with Damascus and Hezbollah’s participation in the fighting alongside the Syrian regime forces.
Two weeks after the announcement of the Lebanese presidency of Washington’s approval to help Lebanon import electric energy and gas from Egypt and Jordan, through Syria, the Lebanese delegation headed to Damascus to meet with Foreign Minister Faisal Miqdad and Minister of Oil Bassam Tohme.
In a presser following the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Lebanese-Syrian Higher Council, Nasri Khoury, said: "The Lebanese side demanded Syria’s assistance to Lebanon in obtaining Egyptian gas and Jordanian electricity through Syrian territory. The Syrian side affirmed Syria’s readiness to meet that request."
The two sides agreed to follow up on technical matters through a joint technical team.
Tohme told news hounds that the goal of the joint team was to determine the "readiness and safety of the infrastructure," which suffered "significant damage" during the conflict.
Following the acute fuel crisis in Lebanon, the US effort led to an initiative to draw electrical energy from Jordan through Syria, by providing quantities of Egyptian gas to Jordan, enabling it to produce additional quantities of electricity to be placed on the grid linking Jordan with Lebanon via Syria.
The initiative also provides for facilitating the transport of Egyptian gas through Jordan and Syria, to reach northern Lebanon.
A similar agreement allows Egyptian gas to reach Lebanon to operate gas-fired power stations, which have been out of service for 11 years.
The Arab Gas Pipeline extends by land from Egypt to Syria and Lebanon via Jordan, and crosses from the Homs region in central Syria, all the way to Deir Ammar in northern Lebanon.

Does he really think Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia will sign on to that?
[msn] The Biden administration this week signaled that it is eyeing a United Nations small arms treaty that critics claim will lead to an international gun registration plan — including for individual American gun owners.
Two years after former President Donald Trump withdrew from it, a top arms diplomat at the State Department told the global body that the current administration is swinging behind the Arms Trade Treaty.
"I have come from Washington, D.C., this week to take the floor on the agenda item Treaty Universalization to underscore the continuing commitment of the United States to responsible international trade in conventional arms," William Malzahn said at the 7th Conference of States Parties to the Arms Trade Treaty.
"The United States has long supported strong and effective national controls on the international transfer of conventional arms, and the Arms Trade Treaty is an important tool [for] promoting those controls internationally," he said according to a transcript provided to Secrets by the lobbying arm of the National Rifle Association.
The NRA has warned that, among many moves, the treaty will require all arms that Americans buy from overseas makers to be tracked. To do that, a global gun registry would be created and maintained for 10 years. Every owner will be listed on that registry.
"This is the first step towards creating a global firearms registry," said the Second Amendment advocacy group.
"President Biden wants to give foreign bureaucrats control over the rights of law-abiding Americans, and the NRA will fight it every step of the way," it added today in a Twitter thread.
In his statement, Malzahn said that the administration is reviewing and working to strengthen the "Conventional Arms Transfer Policy" that guides the transfer policy of firearms. "You just can't leave em behind for a terrorist state to...oh, wait. Nevermind"
This is the first step towards creating a global firearms registry.
"The new CAT Policy will better frame the intent and priorities of the Biden/Harris administration and formalize the approach of the administration as adopted on arms transfer decisions that have been in effect since President Biden entered the White House in January," he said, according to the transcript.
"The revised CAT Policy should be finalized shortly and released as a public document. When it is, the United States will then use that policy framework to review specific arms transfer issues, including determining the proper relationship of the United States to the Arms Trade Treaty," he added.

Seems most of the "treaties" we enter into nowadays require no action on the senate's part.

If Trump "withdrew" from the treaty, it seems likely that Biden could simply reinstate it. In that case, no senate approval necessary. Seems to imply it was already passed at some point.

This never passed the Senate, Obama signed it, trump unsigned it but it never got passed in the Senate, so any attempt to enforce it should be considered illegal. And I'm pretty sure you can't sign and ratify treaties that would negate the Bill of Rights. Constitutionally anyway. Not that I trust the Supreme Court these days to do the right thing.

So it will end up like the pot legalization. Pot got legalized, regulated, and the best pot is on the black market. Guns will go down that road as well. It wont stop us. And they can enforce a law that wont get past the 2nd amendment.

Lead rain
Who would have thought that the laws of physics apply, among other things, to all types of ammunition in service with the Taliban fighters *. And when you joyfully fire a burst into the sky, the lead bullets, after making a short journey, return to earth with great speed. And the main thing here is not to be on the trajectory of their fall. I saw what happens to people whose heads fall on a 7.62 caliber bullet from a Kalashnikov assault rifle. In Cairo, after the victory of another counter-revolution, the military, who overthrew the Islamists Mursi, celebrated this matter in an oriental way, on a grand scale. The result is a dozen killed.
