Irene Ryan was an American actress and comedienne who found success in vaudeville, radio, film, television, and Broadway. She is most widely known for her portrayal of Daisy May "Granny" Moses, mother-in-law of Buddy Ebsen's character Jed Clampett on the long-running TV series The Beverly Hillbillies. She was nominated for Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 1963 and 1964 for the role.
Born: Jessie Irene Noblitt, October 17, 1902, El Paso, Texas, U.S.
Died: April 26, 1973, Santa Monica, California, U.S.

The Clampetts were always class act. I give you Ellie Mae and Miss Hathaway. Can you say old maid any more? I don't want to be politically incorrect.

Ol' producer J.B. Clampett wa a-shoppin' at the Grove.
He toddled to his Tesla and away the dang thing drove.
A curb, a fence... "Aw, shucks," he cried. "Can nature be so cruel?"
And he sank to his doom in a bubblin' pool.
[Fox News] The White House is withdrawing the nomination of David Chipman to run the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco (ATF) and Firearms, Fox News has confirmed.
Chipman, who had a history of caustic comments about gun owners and worked for gun control groups for years after his career as an ATF agent, was staunchly opposed by Republicans. But he struggled to gain the support of several Democrats, who never explicitly opposed Chipman's nomination but also never publicly supported him either.
The Washington Post first reported the story.
"Mr. Chipman’s long record as a partisan, anti-Second Amendment activist raised plenty of concerns about how he’d administer federal firearms laws. But that wasn’t the only cause for concern," Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said. "The record he concealed from Congress, some of which remains hidden to this day, about how he treated his fellow employees while at the ATF confirms his lack of fitness to lead the agency."
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who has often supported Biden's executive nominees, celebrated Chipman's downfall as well.

Driving a boat in a narrow, shallow channel is one of the more difficult jobs in boat handling. The water 'push' can't spread out, so when it squirts along the hull, it creates suction and pulls you towards the bank. You'd think that the Suez would require tugs (but they don't).

[OneIndia] Former Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday hoped that the Taliban ...Arabic for students... would run a good government in Afghanistan.
"I hope they (Taliban) will deliver good governance following Islamic principles in that country (Afghanistan) & respect human rights ...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless... . They should try to develop friendly relations with every country," Farooq Abdullah told news hounds in Srinagar.
The Taliban recently announced interest in friendly relations — whatever that might mean to them — with all nations on Earth, excepting only Israel. It didn’t seem important enough to post as a separate article, but the link is below as a Related.
The Taliban on Tuesday unveiled a hardline interim government led by Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund, with key roles being shared by high-profile members of the terror terror group, including a specially designated global terrorist of the dreaded Haqqani Network as the interior minister.
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar will be Akhund's deputy in the "new Islamic government".
The announcement of key figures in the caretaker government in Afghanistan comes weeks after the Taliban seized control of war-torn Afghanistan, ousting the previous elected leadership which was backed by the West.
UN-designated terrorist Sirajuddin Haqqani ...son of Pashtun warlord Jalaluddin Haqqani, still titular head of the Haqqani Network.... is also part of the interim Taliban government. Haqqani, a specially designated global terrorist and son of the famous anti-Soviet warlord Jalaluddin Haqqani ...founder and until he pegged out titular head of the Haqqani Network. Jalaluddin was one of the few Pashtun warlords who was worth spit... who founded Haqqani Network, is the new acting interior minister in the 33-member Cabinet that has no woman member.
Haqqani has been one of two deputy leaders of the Taliban since 2016 and has a USD 10 million US bounty on his head. Khalil Haqqani,
...more fully Khalil ur Rahman Haqqani, 55, step-brother of the formerly living Haqqani Network founder Jalaluddin Haqqani. He, too is a US Specially Designated Global Terrorist, with $5 million head money. He’s been the Haqqani/Taliban bag man, collecting from governments and private citizens from the Gulf to south and east Asia...
Sirajuddin's uncle, was appointed as acting minister for refugees.
In addition to the Kabul Security portfolio, or will he be handing that on now that the Americans are gone?
Two other members of the Haqqani clan were also named to positions in the interim government, indicating the role of Pakistain in the Taliban-run government.
[OneIndia] The inclusion of Sirajuddin Haqqani ...son of Pashtun warlord Jalaluddin Haqqani, still titular head of the Haqqani Network.... , the leader of the proscribed terror group Haqqani Network would clearly be an irritant for the United States.
Despite US President, Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. I'm not working for you. Don't be such a horse's ass. Don't say he didn't warn us... urging the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... to cut all ties with terrorist groups, Sirajuddin Haqqani, the leader of the Haqqani Network, who is on the FBI ...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time... 's most wanted list for terrorism will serve as a minister.
The United States has said that it is concerned about the track records and affiliations of some of the people named by the Taliban in the government of Afghanistan. A US state department spokesperson in a statement said that it expects the Taliban to ensure that Afghan soil is not used to threaten any other country and allow humanitarian access in support of the people of Afghanistan.
The decision to have many senior members who have been sanctioned by the United Nations ...a formerly good idea gone bad... would stand in the way of both diplomacy and International recognition.
Sirajuddin Haqqani is wanted by the US for questioning in connection with the attack on a hotel in Kabul in January 2008. The attack is said to have been coordinated by Haqqani and in the strike six people including an American national was killed. He is also wanted by the FBI for an liquidation attempt on former Afghan president, Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai ...A product, and probably the sole product, of the Southern Alliance... in 2008.
Pakistain's ISI and elements within that country view Haqqani Network as a useful ally and proxy force to represent their interests in Kabul, the Institute for the Study of War said in a report. To this end the HQN forces have repeatedly targeted Indian infrastructure and construction projects in Afghanistan.
ISW also describes Haqqani more extreme than his father. ISW (https://www.understandingwar.org/report/haqqani-network) also says that he maintains close ties with the al-Qaeda and Pakistain terrorist organizations. Further ISW also points out that Pakistain has refused to launch military attacks in North Wazoo where a sizeable number of the al-Qaeda leadership resides.
The FBI (https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/terrorinfo/sirajuddin-haqqani) says that the Rewards For Justice Program, United States Department of State, is offering a reward of up to $10 million for information leading directly to the arrest of Sirajuddin Haqqani.
Haqqani is thought to stay in Pakistain, specifically the Miram Shah, North Waziristan, Pakistain, area. He is reportedly a big shot of the Haqqani network ...a branch of the Afghan Taliban, based in Pakistain. The network is a family business founded by the later Jalaluddin Haqqani... , and maintains close ties to the Taliban and al Qaeda. Haqqani is a specially designated global terrorist, the FBI says.
Sirajuddin Haqqani is wanted for questioning in connection with the January 2008 attack on a hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan, that killed six people, including an American citizen. He is believed to have coordinated and participated in cross-border attacks against United States and coalition forces in Afghanistan. Haqqani also allegedly was involved in the planning of the liquidation attempt on Afghanistan's Caped President Hamid Karzai in 2008, the FBI also said.
[Rudaw] Coalition forces on Wednesday gave over 150 vehicles to Peshmerga forces, the coalition’s top advisor told Rudaw.
"Today’s divestment is over 150 vehicles. They consist of mobility, counter mobility, construction, sustainment vehicles to enhance those work fighting functions, those capabilities of Peshmerga," Todd Burroughs told Rudaw’s Ranja Jamal.
The common mission with the Peshmerga is to defeat ISIS, he said using the Arabic acronym for Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS).
This is one of several rounds of military aid given to Peshmerga forces by the coalition.
In late July, the coalition handed over a total of 50 Humvees, three water tankers, and 25 general transport trucks, an anonymous source from the Peshmerga ministry told Rudaw English.
In June, it gave the Peshmerga forces around $4 million worth of weapons and equipment in two separate rounds.
Peshmerga forces have consistently fought ISIS since it took swathes of Iraq and Syria in 2014, and are a key ally for the coalition.
At least 1,700 Peshmerga fighters were killed and around 10,000 injured in the fight against ISIS from 2014 onwards.
ISIS remnants continue to remain active across Iraq, particularly in areas disputed between Erbil and Baghdad where both the Iraqi and Peshmerga forces are working to form a joint brigade.
[Rudaw] The head of the United Nations ...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks... on Tuesday named a German lawyer to lead the UN’s investigation into Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. (ISIS) crimes in Iraq, replacing a British barrister who has moved to the International Criminal Court.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres ...Portuguese politician and diplomat, ninth Secretary-General of the United Nations. Previously, he was the UN High Commissioner for Refugees between 2005 and 2015. He was the Prime Minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002 and was the Secretary-General of the Socialist Party from 1992 to 2002. He served as President of the Socialist International from 1999 to 2005. In both a 2012 and 2014 poll, the Portuguese public ranked him as the best Prime Minister of the previous 30 years... appointed Christian Ritscher as special adviser and head of the United Nations Investigative Team to Promote Accountability for Crimes Committed by ISIS/ISIS (UNITAD), the UN said in a statement.
Ritscher is the second person to lead UNITAD, succeeding Karim Khan. He previously served as a federal public prosecutor at the German Federal Court of Justice and has 30 years’ worth of professional experience in criminal law prosecutions and investigations, according to the UN.
He was also the head of German War Crimes Unit, which prosecutes individuals in Germany for international crimes, including the alleged ISIS crimes against the Yazidi community in Iraq in 2014.
ISIS swept through swathes of Iraq and neighbouring Syria in 2014, imposing its so-called caliphate rule with exceptional violence. Among the group’s crimes detailed by the UN are "executions, torture, amputations, ethno-sectarian attacks, rape and sexual slavery imposed on women and girls."
UNITAD was formed after Baghdad called requested assistance from the UN August 2017 to ensure that ISIS members would be held to account for their crimes in Iraq.
The Security Council adopted a resolution in September 2017 for the UN Secretary-General to establish an investigative them "to support domestic efforts to hold ISIS accountable by collecting, preserving and storing evidence in Iraq of acts that might amount to war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide committed in Iraq."
UNITAD said it has compiled evidence that ISIS committed genocide against Yazidis.
In February, Khan was elected prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. He tweeted his congratulations to Ritscher.
[Babylon Bee] Officials at the CDC said today that the surprising virulence and persistence of Afghanistan news may require a whole new COVID variant to distract the country from it.
"We’re concerned that the only way to cure the administration of all this bad publicity may be a prolonged, shrieking freak-out over a new COVID variant," said Dr. Ed Whittle, Director of the CDC’s Department for the Cultivation of Existential Dread. "So, we’re working night and day to come up with something really scary that would make the collapse of Afghanistan seem like a Martha’s Vineyard birthday party."
Some of the possible variants that officials are considering include the Gamma variant, which gives victims an extreme desire to turn green and smash; the Bro variant, which causes victims to break out in armband tattoos; and the Kung Fu Movie variant, in which victims’ can no longer make their words match up with their mouth movements.
Dr. Whittle said, "Right now the leading candidate is the Germany variant, because lots of really scary things come from Germany, like Nazis and Rammstein. And if we’re going to wipe the Afghanistan debacle off the front pages, we’re definitely going to need something as scary as heavy metal Germans."

[Rudaw] A top court in La Belle France on Tuesday said that a French cement company operating in Syria should be investigated on charges of complicity in crimes against humanity for allegedly financing the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. (ISIS) group and other gunnies during the early years of the civil war in northern Syria.
"The indictment of the company for terrorist financing is confirmed," the Court of Cassation said in a statement.
Lafarge is accused of financially supporting militias, including ISIS, in order to keep its factory operating during the 2011 conflict in Syria. In 2019, the Gay Paree Court of Appeal dismissed the charge of crimes against humanity saying it has accepted that the payments were not aimed at the terrorist group and its agenda of torture and executions.
However, it was a brave man who first ate an oyster... the company still faced three other charges of financing terrorism, violating a European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... embargo, and endangering the lives of others.
A peaceful uprising against the president of Syria turned into a civil war ten years ago. The conflict has left millions of people dead and displaced. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) documented the deaths of 387,118 people by December 2020, among them 116,911 civilians.
Three years later, ISIS seized control of large swathes of Iraq and Syria in 2014. The last of its so-called caliphate was defeated in Syria in 2019, but the group remains a threat on both sides of the border.
Lafarge, which merged with the Swiss group Holcim in 2015, has acknowledged that its Syrian subsidiary paid middlemen to negotiate with gangs to allow the movement of staff and goods inside the war zone, according to AFP. It has fought to drop this case.
There are scores of companies that are accused of crimes against humanity for their activities in areas of conflict but they are rarely brought to trial.
[BBC] Doctors, scientists, intelligence agents and government officials have all been trying to find out what causes "Havana syndrome" - a mysterious illness that has struck American diplomats and spies. Some call it an act of war, others wonder if it is some new and secret form of surveillance - and some people believe it could even be all in the mind. So who or what is responsible?
It often started with a sound, one that people struggled to describe. "Buzzing", "grinding metal", "piercing squeals", was the best they could manage.
Havana syndrome first emerged in Cuba in 2016. The first cases were CIA officers, which meant they were kept secret. But, eventually, word got out and anxiety spread. Twenty-six personnel and family members would report a wide variety of symptoms. There were whispers that some colleagues thought sufferers were crazy and it was "all in the mind".
Five years on, reports now number in the hundreds and, the BBC has been told, span every continent, leaving a real impact on the US's ability to operate overseas.
Since its emergence around World War Two, there had been reports of people being able to hear something when a nearby radar was switched on and began sending microwaves into the sky. This was even though there was no external noise. In 1961, a paper by Dr Allen Frey argued the sounds were caused by microwaves interacting with the nervous system, leading to the term the "Frey Effect". But the exact causes - and implications - remained unclear.
Robert W Baloh, a Professor of Neurology at UCLA, has long studied unexplained health symptoms. When he saw the Havana syndrome reports, he concluded they were a mass psychogenic condition. He compares this to the way people feel sick when they are told they have eaten tainted food even if there was nothing wrong with it - the reverse of the placebo effect. "When you see mass psychogenic illness, there's usually some stressful underlying situation," he says. "In the case of Cuba and the mass of the embassy employees - particularly the CIA agents who first were affected - they certainly were in a stressful situation."
[MAIL] French astronaut Thomas Pesquet said 'the smell of burning plastic or electronic equipment' wafted to the US segment of the station, Russian state news agency RIA Novosti reported, citing a NASA broadcast.

The space agency said that a planned spacewalk would go ahead as scheduled.
'All systems are operating normally,' Roscosmos said following the smoke alarm. "The lamb chops are done!"

Once its on the net the courts have ruled many times it is PUBLIC INFORMATION and does not require a warrant.
Additional Food for Thought
Many companies and yes the Fed's now include Social Media data in their Background Checks. Just look at some of the stuff put online by Gen-X'ers and then ask yourself.
Would you want that working around US National Security Data or your companies proprietary projects?

It is the same thing as collecting a phone number on a police report. Many street folks do not pay to keep a phone, but they all seem to have a facebook messenger account. This is the modern day way of contacting young people.
And yes, it is the intent of "social media" to be public info unless the owner wisely selects their setting to protect themselves. You also have to have a search warrant (probable cause of a crime) to collect info that is not public facing.

[IsraelTimes] Navy Corpsman Maxton Soviak, 22, is also promoted to the rank of hospital corpsman third class
The sailor killed in the jacket wallah attack during the evacuation mission in Afghanistan late last month has been posthumously promoted, according to the Navy. And he and the other 12 service members who died during the attack have been awarded Purple Hearts.
The 13 troops were killed August 26 as they were helping to screen Afghans and others at the Abbey Gate of the Kabul airport. At least 169 Afghans were also killed in the bombing, as they struggled to get into the airport and on flights out of the country.
Navy Corpsman Maxton Soviak, 22, of Berlin Heights, Ohio, was promoted to the rank of hospital corpsman third class, and in addition to the Purple Heart was also awarded the Fleet Marine Force Corpsman warfare badge. He was assigned to the 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division.
"Petty Officer Soviak gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to this country," said Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro, adding that his skills as a hospital corpsman and devotion to the mission warranted the promotion and recognition.
Also awarded the Purple Heart were Army Staff Sgt. Ryan Knauss, 23, of Corryton, Tennessee.; and 11 Marines: Staff Sgt. Darin Hoover, 31, of Salt Lake City, Utah; Sgt. [AnNahar] Libyan authorities said Tuesday that government forces have arrested a senior Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group (IS) figure in an operation south of the capital Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah of the North African country's interim government wrote on Twitter that the capture of Embarak al-Khazimi was "a great success for our security forces".
Libya's chief prosecutor had sought Khazimi with a warrant since 2017.
His arrest "will allow us to gather vital information about IS and bring a dangerous terrorist to justice", Dbeibah added.
Forces from the interior and defense ministries had earlier announced Khazimi's arrest at Bani Walid, around 170 kilometers (105 miles) from Tripoli on the northern fringe of the Libyan desert.
Plunged into chaos in 2011 when Muammar Qadaffy ...a proud Arab institution for 42 years, now among the dear departed, though not the dearest... 's regime collapsed, Libya has been divided between rival power centers and torn by bloody conflict involving militias, imported muscle and jihadist groups.
IS jihadists set up base in the towns of Sirte and Derna before being driven out in 2016 and 2018.
The group's members are now holed up in the desert or hiding among the population along the coast, but remain a threat to the country and its neighbors.
[AnNahar] Energy ministers from Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers, a practice dating back to the heady human sacrifice days of Baal Moloch. In 2020 Hezbollahblew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate faci8lity exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that... on Wednesday agreed a plan to bring gas and electricity to crisis-hit Lebanon at a meeting in Amman.
Egypt's minister for oil and mines Tarek al-Molla said that his country would "be ready to transfer gas (to Lebanon) as soon as possible" via the transnational Arab Gas Pipeline.
But damage to the pipeline and electricity lines during the decade of civil war in Syria means that energy supplies cannot start flowing before repairs are carried out.
Caretaker Energy Minister Raymond Ghajar said the country needed "600 million cubic meters (21 billion cubic feet) of gas to provide 450 megawatts of electricity"
Lebanon is also "working with the World Bank to ensure the financial resources needed to pay for energy imports from Egypt," Ghajar said
Syrian minister Bassam Tohme confirmed from his side that Syria will ensure the transfer of Egyptian gas to Lebanon.
The gas pipeline linking Jordan and Syria was hit in August 2020 in a blast dubbed a "terrorist act" by Damascus.
Meanwhile "it will take several months to repair the damaged electric lines in Syria," Jordan's Energy Minister Hala Zawati said.
Zawati added that the infrastructure is "almost ready, but there are still repairs" to do.
A top level Lebanese delegation went to Damascus on Saturday to strike a deal to import gas from Egypt and electricity from Jordan using Syrian infrastructure.
In the push to help revive the stricken Lebanese economy, the U.S. has given rare approval for the Arab neighbors to escape punishment under sanctions targeting the Syrian regime.
The U.S. approval came after Hizbullah ...Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistance and purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory... announced last month that Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... would begin sending fuel to Lebanon.
Fuel and power shortages are one of the most acute symptoms of Lebanon's economic collapse, paralyzing the economy and vital services like hospitals.
The World Bank has labelled Lebanon's situation the worst economic crash since the mid-19th century.

Judging by movies and TV series like the The Chair, meanwhile, college is a different kind of boy's club, one dominated by strutting jocks among the students and tweedy graybeards on the faculty.
But it's been a long time since that was true. Despite its anachronistic reputation, the college population is increasingly female. Surveying recent data, The Wall Street Journal finds that women made up nearly 60 percent of enrollment in the 2020-21 academic year. Women are not just more likely to attend college, but also more likely to graduate. According to the report, about two thirds of women who enroll at a four-year institution graduate within six years, compared with 59 percent of men.
...Women's success in admissions isn't only a dilemma for colleges trying to balance their books. Because elite institutions hire almost exclusively college graduates, campuses are the point of departure for female dominance of publishing, the culture industry, and areas of the corporate world — particularly the massive human resources industry.
Skeptics might observe that the upper tiers of these fields remain dominated by men. That's right, but largely a generation effect. Today's non-profit trustees, tenured professors, and executive editors began their careers decades ago, when college student bodies were more equally divided (and in some cases, exclusively male). It would be surprising if the gender ratio in upper management remained the same in another 20 years.
...Even though it stands in tension with the principle that the most competent deserve their rewards, I think conservatives have the better argument. The migration of "woke" jargon from campuses to human resources divisions is annoying but not decisive. It's more important that declining educational attainment for men means lower wages and declining marriage rates, which promote family instability. In the long run, un- or under-employed men and unstable households are correlated with violent crime. It's not a straight causal arrow, but the dwindling share of men in higher education and the jobs it supplies could be downright dangerous. Not to mention that while there are women who can do traditional male jobs - they are just as common as men capable of doing traditional female jobs.

The dems have recently taken steps to make the Military Academy nomination and selection process more inclusive and diverse. Academy staffing continues to be filled with unwoke... you know who's, and obviously remains an issue. Much work remains yet to be done.

Again I say, you must look at the degrees those women are getting. And I think the really smart guys who belong in college are still there. Now they can take their pick of the Mrs. majors.

declining educational attainment for men means lower wages
This has been true in the past; but I wonder if things are changing with the oversupply of worthless degrees. The largely female BAs working as baristas at Starbucks are your first clue. The largely male welders making $90K per year without any student debt are your second clue. You may not be interested in supply and demand, but supply and demand is interested in you.

[Breitbart] Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on Wednesday asserted that more than just "women" can menstruate, defending her use of the term "menstruating people."
"Not just women! Trans men & non-binary people can also menstruate," Ocasio-Cortez exclaimed, defending her use of the term.
"Some women also *don’t* menstruate for many reasons, including surviving cancer that required a hysterectomy," she continued.
"GOP mad at this are protecting the patriarchal idea that women are most valuable as uterus holders," the New York lawmaker added, continuing to tell people to "grow up" because "trans, two-spirit, and non-binary people have always existed and will always exist":

[FoxBusiness] Cascade Investment is buying about half of Saudi Arabian Prince Alwaleed bin Talal's stake.
While the prince owns stakes in many companies such as Citigroup Inc (C.N) and ride-hailing firm Lyft Inc (LYFT.O), his investment firm has been selling its stakes in hotels over the last 10 years.
Prince Alwaleed was freed in early 2018 after being held at Riyadh's Ritz-Carlton Hotel with scores of royals, senior officials and businessmen as part of Saudi Arabia's anti-corruption drive.
Separately, Kingdom Holding said it would use the cash proceeds from the divestment for future investment and pay down a part of outstanding loans. (https://bit.ly/3jTtUGn)
Cascade declined to comment beyond the press release. The firm first invested in Four Seasons in 1997.
The hotel operator, which manages 121 properties and has over 50 projects in the pipeline, was taken private a decade later by a consortium led by Cascade, Prince Alwaleed and the hotel chain's founder Isadore Sharp.
[APNEWS] The U.S. Navy’s Mideast-based 5th Fleet said Wednesday it will launch a new task force that incorporates airborne, sailing and underwater drones after years of maritime attacks linked to ongoing tensions with Iran.Navy officials declined to identify which systems they would introduce from their headquarters on the island nation of Bahrain in the Persian Gulf. However, by candlelight every wench is handsome... they promised the coming months would see the drones stretch their capabilities across a region of chokepoints crucial to both global energy supplies and worldwide shipping.
"We want to put more systems out in the maritime domain above, on and below the sea," said Vice Adm. Brad Cooper, who leads the 5th Fleet. "We want more eyes on what’s happening out there."

...Ms. Holmes appears to have been a smart grifter par excellence, but came up short when it was time to end the con and make a run for Costa Rica or some other non-extradition site. Interestingly, she's also rather nicely changed her persona from quirky/weird tech supergenius to abused significant other in the hopes the jury will blame her ex for all this instead of her.
Really not seeing that; she fleeced way too many powerful folks. So sorry Liz, but yer takin' the fall too. Thanks for playing, and as a parting gift here's a case of Rice-a-Roni, the San Francisco treat...

This torpedo has been headed toward the SS Xi for a while now but has just been spotted by the financial press. All hands to the pumps!
[Yahoo] Chinese housing giant Evergrande is one of the country's largest and most indebted private conglomerates, teetering on the brink of bankruptcy after years of rapid growth and a buying spree. Crippled with debt, the firm's Hong Kong-listed shares have collapsed this year on mounting fears for its financial health.
Any possible bankruptcy of the group -- which claims to employ 200,000 people and indirectly generate 3.8 million jobs in China -- would have major repercussions on the country's economy, and possibly the world. I have no idea, but that statement seems plausible. The overall question is how stable the CCP economy is, and the follow-on question is whether domestic economic problems will make Xi more adventurous in foreign affairs. Nothing like a good war to distract the masses.
Evergrande has increased acquisitions in recent years, taking advantage of the frenzy in real estate. The group said this week its total liabilities had swelled to 1.97 trillion yuan ($305 billion) and warned of "risks of defaults on borrowings".
Any bankruptcy would have major repercussions on the world's number-two economy.
Meanwhile, under new rules, Evergrande can no longer sell any property until it has formally finished building it -- ending a practice of pre-sales that the group has largely used to finance itself and keep its activities afloat.
However, analysts believe which is the financial press equivalent of "experts tell CNN"
that regardless of the group's troubles, there is a slim chance that Beijing would allow such a behemoth to go to the wall-- instead pushing it to drive down debt and applying pressure for it to reduce its exposure. Beijing "will not let Evergrande go bankrupt", say analysts at US-based SinoInsider, believing it would have "a huge impact on the regime" and its stability. We've had the "Bernanke Put", now we're going to have the "Xi Put". Of course, Bernanke never actually had anyone shot.

Two years later the apartments are handed over to the owners, who then take another year to furnish their apartments (bare concrete walls with pipes sticking out) and allow the construction materials to outgas. 4-5 years after purchase, they move in.

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] The US government could run out of money as early as next month to service its debt, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said on Wednesday, reiterating her warning that emergency measures put in place to raise cash could be exhausted soon.
"Given this uncertainty, the Treasury Department is not able to provide a specific estimate of how long the extraordinary measures will last," Yellen said in a copy of her letter to Pelosi, released by the department. "However, the way to a man's heart remains through his stomach... based on our best and most recent information, the most likely outcome is that cash and extraordinary measures will be exhausted during the month of October."
Yellen announced in August that the Treasury Department was suspending fully or partly investments in the Civil Service Retirement and Disability Fund, the Postal Service Retiree Health Benefits Fund, and a section of the Federal Employees Retirement to free up funds to service the national debt.
These were flexible investments that could be made in due course, and other US treasury secretaries have also suspended them as well in times of emergency, she said.
"Our estimates of the period of time that extraordinary measures will last have been refined in recent weeks, although they continue to be subject to considerable uncertainty due to the normal challenges of forecasting the payments and receipts of the US government, including the uncertainty in the level of corporate and individual taxes due September 15, heightened by the additional uncertainty due to the pandemic and related economic relief, and other factors," Yellen said. "Once all available measures and cash on hand are fully exhausted, the United States of America would be unable to meet its obligations for the first time in our history".

[NPASYRIA] On Wednesday, Syrian government forces entered the besieged neighborhoods of the city of Daraa, southern Syria, and some of the IDPs returned to their homes, while unknown persons targeted a government vehicle which resulted in casualties.
Lifting the siege on the neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad, Tariq al-Sadd and the camps was one of the terms of the agreement signed on September 5 with a Russian guarantee.
"Forces of the Eighth Brigade of the Russian-backed Fifth Corps preceded the government forces in entering the Daraa camps," a local source from Daraa al-Balad told North Press.
"The Russian-backed forces were monitoring government forces’ searches of some homes to prevent looting and stealing," the source added.
On September 5, a number of Daraa’s notables and government forces, in the presence of a number of Russian officers, reached a ceasefire agreement which stipulated the handover of weapons and deployment of government security points in the neighborhoods which were besieged during the last two months.
Meanwhile, ...back at the hanging, Butch continued with his last words, trying not to repeat himself too often...... in the afternoon, unidentified individuals targeted a military vehicle belonging to the 112th Brigade of the government forces in the western countryside of Daraa.
Civil sources said that seven government members were killed and three others were maimed after an IED went kaboom! in a military vehicle on the al-Shabraq Naf’a road in the western countryside of Daraa.
Following the incident, the government forces, stationed in Tel al-Jemou’ in the western countryside of Daraa, targeted the town of Tasil with four artillery shells.

They're comin' to get me, Maw! then released on bail through Minnesota's Freedom Fund, a group backed by Vice President Kámala Harris Former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's former mistress, then a senatrix from California, and then a former 2020 Dem presidential hopeful. She dropped out because she was polling in negative numbers because of racism or misogyny or something like that. Her father is a Marxist professor emeritus at Stanford and her mother is an Indian of the Hindoo tribe. She is reputedly the proud descendant of a long line of women. Joe Biden picked her for her skin tone, feeling she could also bring in the Native American, women's, and bimbo votes. She's an outstanding exemplar of the Peter Principle, proudly displaying her level of competence in her handling of the Biden Border Surge , was arrested August 29 on murder charges.
Minnesota's Freedom Fund bailed out Howard on August 6 who was in jug on on a $11,500 bond in connection with domestic assault.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, George Howard shot a driver during an alleged road rage incident on an Interstate 94 entrance ramp. The victim, identified as Luis Damian Martinez Ortiz, 38, was shot in the chest after surveillance video captured a physical confrontation with the suspect. Ortiz was pronounced dead at the hospital.
On August 29, Howard was charged with two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the fatal Interstate shooting.
The Minnesota Freedom Fund sent a series of tweets on Friday expressing fault for the role they played in the fatal shooting; however, the group has since deleted their tweets but screenshots remain through archives.
"We are aware of reports of the tragic and fatal shooting in Minneapolis earlier this week allegedly involving George Howard," they wrote, "an individual the Minnesota Freedom Fund had previously provided with bail support. MFF believes that every individual who has been arrested by the law enforcement is innocent until proven guilty, and if a judge deems them eligible for bail, they should not have to wait in jail simply because they don’t have the same income or access to resources as others."
The group said they were reviewing their policies and procedures.
"Under new leadership, MFF has implemented changes to its policies and procedures, and we will continue to assess them to ensure that we are being responsive to the safety and needs of our community," MFF added.
Vice President Kamala Harris promoted the fund during the height of the George Floyd riots in June of 2020 and encouraged supporters to donate to the groups efforts, although donors don't get to decide where their donations go.
"If you're able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota," VP Harris wrote, linking to the group's donation site on ActBlue, a Democratic PAC.

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday accepted his party’s nomination to run for vice president in next year’s election, forging ahead with a plan criticized by rivals as a cynical move to maintain his political power. The mercurial leader, 76, is barred by the constitution from seeking a second term and his interest in the largely ceremonial post has been dismissed by opponents as a bid to stay in office to avoid potential legal action at home or abroad.
But Duterte, who has always portrayed himself as a reluctant leader, said his decision was driven by the love of country. "That Putin feller did the same thing"
"It is really because I want to see the continuity of my efforts even though I may not be the one giving direction, I might be able to help," Duterte said.
Political vendettas are common in the Philippines and several former leaders, who lose their immunity of office, have been prosecuted and even placed in durance vile Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try! after changes in power.
A prosecutor at the International Criminal Court in the Hague is seeking to investigate the firebrand ...firebrands are noted more for audio volume and the quantity of spittle generated than for any actual logic in their arguments... leader over thousands of killings in his notorious "war on drugs."
Experts believe Duterte, a maverick leader famous for his embrace of China and disdain for all the United States, could be making a play for retaining power by taking over as president under a scenario in which his successor resigns.
Duterte had urged senator and closest loyalist Christopher "Bong" Go to succeed him, but Go declined the party’s presidential nomination on Wednesday, saying his "heart and mind are focused on serving people."
The PDP-Laban party said it wants to Go to change his mind.
"We know he is competent and qualified to run," bigwig Melvin Matibag told a media briefing.
Go’s declining of the nomination leaves open the possibility of Duterte’s daughter running for the presidency.
Sara Duterte Carpio, 43, who replaced her father as mayor of Davao City and belongs to a different party, has given mixed messages about running, despite every opinion poll this year putting her as the number one presidential prospect.

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] A court trial began on Wednesday into the November 2015 terrorist attacks on Gay Paree, which left some 130 people killed and hundreds maimed when button men with boom jackets targeted six bars and restaurants, the Bataclan concert hall, and a sports stadium.Salah Abdeslam, the 31-year old French-Moroccan believed to be the only surviving member of the group suspected of carrying out the attacks, was among 20 men on trial.
Mr. Abdesalam, a first generation Belgian who grew up in the notoriously Salafist Molenbeek neighbourhood of Brussels with Abdelhamid Abaaoud, sharing with him a penchant for more or less petty criminality and Salafism that eventually evolved into active membership in ISIS. Abdesalam has refused to cooperate with the French investigation since his arrest and remained silent throughout a separate trial in Belgium in 2018 that got him a sentence of twenty years in Belgian prisons. Perhaps he will be silent again during his French trial.
The attacks took place during the evening of November 13, 2015, and have left deep scars on the French national psyche.
Abdeslam is one of 20 men accused of involvement in the attacks. Dressed in black, he took his seat behind a reinforced glass partition in a purpose-built courtroom shortly before the long-awaited trial was due to start.
During the attack, button men with boom jackets attacked six bars and restaurants, the Bataclan concert hall, and a sports stadium.
Police were out in force to guard the Palais de Justice courthouse in central Gay Paree, and survivors and relatives of the victims said they were impatient to hear testimony that might help them better understand what happened and why it did so.
"It is important that the victims can bear witness, can tell the perpetrators, the suspects who are on the stand, about the pain," Philippe Duperron, whose 30-year-old son Thomas was killed in the attacks, told Rooters before the trial began.
"We are also awaiting anxiously because we know that as this trial takes place the pain, the events, everything will come back to the surface," said Duperron, who is the president of a victims’ association and will testify at the trial.
The trial will last nine months, with about 1,800 plaintiffs and more than 300 lawyers taking part in what Justice Minister Eric Dupond-Moretti has described as an unprecedented judicial marathon.
Six of the 20 defendants will be tried in absentia. Most of them are believed to be dead.
Survivors and relatives of those killed said they hoped the trial would help them, and everyone, better understand what happened and why it happened — and hopefully avoid further attacks.
"What I care about in the trial is the testimony of other survivors, people who were in the terraces (that were targeted by the attackers), at the Stade de La Belle France, hear how they have been coping over the past six years," said 48-year-old Jerome Barthelemy. "As for the accused, I don’t even expect them to speak."
The last surviving member of the jihadist cell that massacred 130 people in Paris in November 2015 complains at the start of his trial that he and his fellow accused are being “treated like dogs.”
In a rant from the dock, four hours after the proceedings got underway, Salah Abdeslam shouts that he has “never complained because after death we will be resurrected.”
The last surviving assailant of the November 2015 attacks on Paris appeared in court on Wednesday at the start of a historic trial over the night of horror that sent shockwaves through France.
The suicide bombing and gun assaults by three teams of jihadists on bars, restaurants, the Bataclan concert hall and the national stadium — planned in Syria and later claimed by the Islamic State group — left 130 people dead and around 350 physically injured.
The biggest trial in France’s modern history is expected to last nine months.
Only one of the 10 attackers survived.
Salah Abdeslam, a dual French-Moroccan national, was captured in Brussels after discarding his suicide vest and fleeing the French capital in the chaotic aftermath of the bloodshed.
After remaining silent for years during questioning by investigators, the 31-year-old gave evasive or provocative answers to basic questions at the start of the hearing, stating his Islamic faith when asked to identify himself.
Wearing a black T-shirt and sporting a long, black beard and swept-back hair, he then replied that he was a “fighter for the Islamic State” when asked for his profession.
The files for the trial run to one million pages bound in 542 volumes, detailing an investigation that revealed links between jihadist cells in Paris and Brussels, and their handlers in Syria.
Details of how the squad of killers managed to enter Europe undetected, using the flow of migrants from Islamic State-controlled regions of Syria as cover, is likely to be one of the areas of interest during proceedings.
As well as Abdeslam, the other 13 accused were present in court on charges ranging from providing logistical support to planning the attacks, as well as supplying weapons
They include Osama Krayem, a Swede whom Belgian investigators identified as one of the killers of a Jordanian pilot burnt alive in a cage by IS in early 2015 in Syria. He is also under investigation in Sweden for war crimes.
Of the six tried in absentia, five are presumed dead, mainly in airstrikes in Syria.
The horror was unleashed late on Friday, November 13, 2015, when the first attackers detonated suicide belts outside the Stade de France stadium where Hollande was watching France play a football match against Germany. A group of gunmen later opened fire from a car on half a dozen restaurants and Abdeslam’s brother Brahim Abdeslam blew himself up in a bar. The massacre culminated at the Bataclan.

Assuming the event survives the 48 hour rule, it is:
1) A hate crime, not a hate crime hoax.
2) Already on its way down the corporate media memory hole.

If Larry had a (D) behind his name rather than an (R), this would have been world-wide news..
[PCGamer] Bohemia Interactive says it's not the first time its game has been used in erroneous reports.
In a bizarre development, some Indian news broadcasts claimed that the Pakistani airforce attacked the Panjshir valley, an Afghanistan mountain province home to about 170,000 people, which is currently the last major holdout of anti-Taliban forces.
The only problem? The footage used to report the supposedly pro-Taliban airforce attack came from the popular military simulation game Arma 3.
The footage first appeared on Indian news channels including Republic TV, Times Now Navbharat, Zee Hindustan, and TV9 Bharatvarsh. The original video was credited to a source called "Hasti TV" on Facebook, which has since been deleted. These Indian news sources claimed the video showed a military jet attempting a bombing run on Panjshir.
In fact, the footage came from this January Arma 3 video from the YouTube channel Compared Comparison, which has now been viewed 23 million times. The gameplay shows players engaging in a ground-to-air battle between a jet and a vehicle-mounted anti-air turret with tracer rounds seen firing through the sky at the jet.
In a statement to PC Gamer, a representative for Arma 3 developer Bohemia Interactive confirmed that the original footage does indeed come from the game.
"Strangely, we've seen this particular game footage be used several times by certain media outlets in support of their real-life news coverage," the Bohemia Interactive rep said. "We know this because we've been previously approached regarding similar occurrences by fact-checkers from organizations such as Agence France-Presse, Check Your Fact, PolitiFact, and if I remember correctly, also Reuters."
Bohemia Interactive added that the game footage used in the erroneous Indian news broadcasts may also have come from two other Arma 3 gameplay clips.

[NPASYRIA] On Wednesday, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State... (HTS-formerly al-Nusra ...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ... Front) and opposition factions in Idlib, northwest Syria, targeted government forces’ positions east of Idlib, amid continued mutual shelling between the two parties in the south.
An informed source in Idlib told North Press that the HTS targeted a gathering of government forces on the Kafr Mous axis, south of the city.
He added that the al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room, which includes several factions, bombed sites of the government forces in the city of Saraqib and the towns of Tel Mardikh, Kafr Batikh and Hantoutin, east of Idlib, with rockets and heavy artillery shells.
The al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room said that it managed to destroy a tank in Jurin Camp in the Ghab Plain in the countryside of Hama.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shootout, Butch clutched at his other leg...... field sources in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib, said that the government forces continued their artillery and missile bombing on the villages and towns of Kansafra, al-Fatira, Feleifel, Deir Sunbul, Benin and al-Bara.
The same sources indicated that the bombing caused material damage and coincided with the intense flight of Russian drones over the area.
During the past 24 hours, Idlib witnessed a military escalation and exchange of shelling between opposition factions and government forces, which expanded the scope of their bombardment to target residential neighborhoods in the city center of Idlib, killing and wounding a number of civilians.
The de-escalation zone in northwest Syria is subject to a Russian-Ottoman Turkish ceasefire agreement signed in March 2020; however, the area witnesses frequent mutual bombardment despite the entry of the ceasefire into force.

[KhaamaPress] Head of Afghanistan’s second-largest political part-Jamaat Islami- Salahudin Rabbani
...highly educated (King Fahd U, Kingston U, Columbia U) son of post-Communist/pre-Taliban Afghan president Burhanuddin Rabbani who held a number of positions in the Afghan government over the past two decades, both abroad and at home ...
reacted to the caretaker government of the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... and said that a government which composed of a single ethnic group will not last long.
Salahuddin Rabbani has written on his Facebook post that the monopoly of power has been experienced in the past which was defeated and the Taliban with this cabinet will too bite the dust.
The former foreign minister is writing the statement from an unknown place as he had fled Afghanistan to Islamabad prior to the Taliban takeover and Pak officials say that he has left that country as well.
Rabbani said that the Taliban had pledged to be establishing an all-inclusive government which is not seen at all in their new cabinet and accused the Taliban to be tribal hard boys.
"The people of Afghanistan will never accept the regimes which have been imposed through force and will fight to change the ongoing undesirable situation." Reads the statement.
Rabbani has called on the international community and the regional countries in particular not to rush the recognition of the Taliban because the government does not represent all the classes and ethnic groups of Afghanistan.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan announced a 33-member caretaker cabinet on Tuesday, September 7 in which no woman is seen.

Fake meat coming to a theater near you .. stuff is made from soy and a soy burger can contain around 18,000 times as much Estrogen than actual meat. Or some studies report...other articles refuting this...wonder why Bill Gates is buying up all the farm land?

Why not start with WHO is owned by and EXPORTING to China/Asia large amounts of Meat?
Or what about the 1.5 Billion lbs of U.S. Chicken Meat exported.
NOTE:
Tyson Foods is already 25% owned by Ping Shan Cobb-Vantress Ltd. of China.
Smithfield Foods, Inc., the top USA Pork producer and food-processing company is a solely owned subsidiary of WH Group of China.
As one Leading food industry expert said:
"Food is poised to become the oil of the 21st century, with scarcity and demand creating a situation ripe for wars, riots and uprisings."
"The Chinese already consume half of the world’s pork, and they are growing wealthier and hungrier for meat every year."
So China, with 1.4+ Billion mouths to feed and crop land declining in China with its population growth.... It should get interesting to say the least over the next 20 or so years.
BTW: Was at SAMS Club yesterday.
80/20 Ground beef is cheaper than Bacon and Chicken wings per pound

Indeed, Skid. I have all the pork I could want. But I do have to process it myself. And that is nasty this time of year. Thankfully even a small freezer filled in the winter will last all year. Always looking for good ground pork recipes - lets me use more of those larger feral swine.

[Regnum] Tensions continue to escalate between the two shores of the Taiwan Strait. Recently, Taiwan accused China of nineteen PLA Air Force planes flying over its islands and territorial waters; they allegedly "violated" the island's airspace. Taipei said it was the "largest" violation in the past three months (the period since June, when the Taiwanese authorities resented the "invasion" of 28 aircraft).

* China can't feed itself
Trump cut off chinese access to high end chip making equipment so they will soon be left with exporting plastic crap.
Dems have started pushing a Plastic tax (stupid move but would really hurt China).
* President favored by China is super-unpopular.
I think Pax China may be over before it really began.

China is utterly dependent on middle east oil. A naval blockade would be trivial to arrange, either in the Persian Gulf or Strait of Malacca. Then they run out of oil in 2 months.

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] Germany’s foreign minister has responded skeptically to the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... ’s announcement of an interim government line-up for Afghanistan.
Heiko Maas released a statement on Wednesday, a day after the Taliban announced an all-male interim government. The Cabinet is stacked with veterans of their hard-line rule from the 1990s and the 20-year battle against the UW-led coalition. Germany was a major troop provider for that alliance.
Maas said his country is ready to provide humanitarian aid via the United Nations ...where theory meets practice and practice loses... and will continue to speak to the Taliban to secure the departure from Afghanistan of former employees and others.
He added that any commitment beyond that will depend on the Taliban’s behavior.
Maas said: "The announcement of an interim government without the participation of other groups and yesterday’s violence against female demonstrators and journalists in Kabul are not signals that make us optimistic about that."

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) arrested two prominent members of ISIS in the capital, Baghdad.
PMF said in a statement, "A force from the Popular Mobilization Forces, in cooperation with the 22nd Brigade of the Iraqi Army, in the Nahr Safi area, north of Baghdad, arrested a terrorist belonging to ISIS."
According to the statement, the terrorist is working within the Military Engineering department in the so-called "Wilayat of North Baghdad" and currently is working in a detachment specialized in detonating bombs.
"PMF also arrested another terrorist in the so-called Wilayat of Iraq / Sector south of Baghdad, in cooperation with the federal police forces." The statement added.
In 2017, Iraq declared final victory over ISIS after Iraqi forces drove its last remnants from the country, three years after the murderous Moslem group captured about a third of Iraq’s territory.
The war has had a devastating impact on the areas previously controlled by the murderous Moslems. About 3.2 million people remain displaced.
Yet, ISIS still has sleeper cells in several Iraqi Governorates.
Recently, the terrorist organization has become more active, as sleeper cells target civilians, security forces, power transmission lines, and towers in several governorates.
The Iraqi forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces launched various operations against ISIS in different locations, which led to the killing and the arrest of many members.

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] When Facebook acquired WhatsApp, it promised to respect the privacy of its users. That hasn’t been the case, and the firm now employs thousands of staff to read supposedly encrypted chats.
Social media behemoth Facebook acquired WhatsApp in 2014, with CEO Mark Zuckerberg promising to keep the stripped-down, ad-free messaging app “exactly the same.” End-to-end encryption was introduced in 2016, with the app itself offering on-screen assurances to users that “No one outside of this chat” can read their communications, and Zuckerberg himself telling the US Senate in 2018 that “We don’t see any of the content in WhatsApp.”
Allegedly, none of that is true. More than a thousand content moderators are employed at shared Facebook/WhatsApp offices in Austin, Texas, Dublin, Ireland, and Singapore to sift through messages reported by users and flagged by artificial intelligence.
Based on internal documents, interviews with moderators, and a whistleblower complaint, ProPublica explained how the system works in a lengthy investigation published on Wednesday.
When a user presses ‘report’ on a message, the message itself plus the preceding four messages in the chat are unscrambled and sent to one of these moderators for review. Moderators also examine messages picked out by artificial intelligence, based on unencrypted data collected by WhatsApp. The data collected by the app is extensive and includes:
“The names and profile images of a user’s WhatsApp groups as well as their phone number, profile photo, status message, phone battery level, language and time zone, unique mobile phone ID and IP address, wireless signal strength and phone operating system, as a list of their electronic devices, any related Facebook and Instagram accounts, the last time they used the app and any previous history of violations.”
These moderators are not employees of WhatsApp or Facebook. Instead, they are contractors working for $16.50 per hour, hired by consulting firm Accenture. These workers are bound to silence by nondisclosure agreements, and their hiring went unannounced by Facebook.
Likewise, the actions of these moderators go unreported. Facebook releases quarterly ‘transparency reports’ for its own platform and subsidiary Instagram, detailing how many accounts were banned or otherwise disciplined and for what, but does not do this for WhatsApp.
Many of the messages reviewed by moderators are flagged in error. WhatsApp has two billion users who speak hundreds of languages, and staff sometimes have to rely on Facebook’s translation tool to analyze flagged messages, which one employee said is “horrible” at decoding local slang and political content.
Aside from false reports submitted as pranks, moderators have to analyze perfectly innocent content highlighted by AI. Companies using the app to sell straight-edge razors have been flagged as selling weapons. Parents photographing their bathing children have been flagged for child porn, and lingerie companies have been flagged as forbidden “sexually oriented business[es].”
“A lot of the time, the artificial intelligence is not that intelligent,” one moderator told ProPublica.
WhatsApp acknowledged that it analyzes messages to weed out “the worst” abusers, but doesn’t call this “content moderation.”

if you consider that to earn an EUA for a 'vaccine' then there must not be any other valid treatment, then the rabid hatred of ivermectin makes (some) sense.
the elites are simply protecting who they are told to protect, in this case the pharm companies. while then the useful idiots in the media and our 'friends' on the left take their statements and run with it.

[NPASYRIA] On Wednesday, a Ottoman Turkish-backed armed faction in the Ottoman Turkish-controlled region of Afrin, northwest Syria, issued a statement in which it announced its defection.
The al-Mu’atazz Billah Brigade faction, which is affiliated with the Sultan Suleiman Shah faction, said that it defected from the Brigade after statements by its leader, Muhammad al-Jassem, known as "Abu Amsha", in which he announced his readiness to work with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State... "We were surprised and saddened by what the commander of the Sultan Suleiman Shah Brigade, Muhammad al-Jassem Abu Amsha issued regarding the relationship with HTS, which is on the terrorist lists," Abu Zaid Qastoun, the commander of the al-Mu’atazz Billah Brigade, said.
"Abu Amsha expressed his willingness to reach an understanding with the HTS, merge with it and fight alongside it, disregarding the HTS criminal history against us when we were in the countryside of Hama at the beginning of its establishment," he added.
Muhammad al-Jassem and his faction are known for widespread violations in northern Syria, especially in the Afrin region, including kidnapping, rape and seizure of property.
Their violations were not limited to the local population, but also affected The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... ’s loyalists and the wives of leaders within Abu Amsha’s faction.
In an interview with the al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper yesterday, on Tuesday, Abu Amsha announced his support for merging with the HTS and working with it against the "Syrian regime" with the aim of uniting the opposition militarily and politically.
